A/N: this story is rated T so teen stuff would be included.

Though the Serpentine had stolen two of the Fangblades, the Ninja were hardly discouraged by this as thanks to the Serpentine, inadvertently, they had all unlocked their true potentials.

Well, all except one…

One night, Kai entered Wu's old room, which had not been opened since Wu left to find the someone to help them in their fight with the Serpentine. He opened the a cabinet and found something that made his eyes widen. "The Green Ninja Gi?" He gasped, he looked around, making sure he was alone before reaching into the cabinet and pulled the green Gi out.

Outside on deck of the Monastery, Cole had his Scythe drawn as the shadowy figure of a Venomari approached him. "Earth!" he called out his element, slamming his Scythe against the ground and knocking the Serpentine off its feet.

Back in Wu's quarter, Kai had put on the Green Ninja Gi while standing in front of the mirror checking himself out. "Oh yeah, I was born to wear this!" He boasted.

Meanwhile, Jay faced another Serpentine as he spun his Nunchucks as he rushed at his Serpentine. "Lightning!" He called out before doing Spinjitzu and whacking the Venomari away.

In Wu's quarter again, Kai did some flips, spins and punches as he shown some moves.

"Whoohoo!" Kai exclaimed.

Back on deck, Zane threw his Shurikens into the air before facing his Serpentine as well.

"Ice!" Zane called out his element as he flung his Shurikens at the feet of the Serpentine, freezing it solid.

Back with Kai in Wu's quarters, Kai performed one more punch and stomp. "Hyah! Come one!" He declared.

On deck again, Lydie spunned her staff as she was surrounded by four Serpentine as her eyes glowed dark.

She then slammed her staff into the ground, sending them into the air, "Darkness!" Lydie yelled out as she did Spinjitzu around before she toss them into the air and blasted them away as she stopped and did a pose.

And then the light shined above them. "Good training." Nya said as she watched them from above the Bounty, revealing that the four Ninja had only been training and had been fighting Dummies the whole time. "You're powers are getting stronger." She commented.

Lydie lets a small laugh, "Yeah looks like it." She said shouldering her staff, "Care to join us Nya? Always room for a Samurai."

"Thanks, but I'd rather watch and learn before going into battle again." Nya said before she turned away a bit with a slight blush. "Especially after what happened last time." She muttered quietly, since she still remembered when the Serpentine stripped her down to her bra and panties during the hunt for the first Fangblade.

"What was that, Nya?" Cole asked.

Nya turned back with a blush and looked around to give answer, "Um, I was saying uh, w-where's Kai?" She asked, which was valid as Kai was nowhere in sight.

"Hey, yeah, where is he?" Jay asked, knowing what Nya was thinking as he played along, but it was a real question.

Zane then answered, "He said he was going to look for something in the barracks." He pointed.

Back in Wu's room, Kai, was still practicing some moves in the Green Gi "Fire! Unlock Fire! Uh… Fire, go! Shoot flames!" he called out his element but nothing happened.

He sighed in frustration, "Oh, come on. Everyone else can do it. So can you. Bring heat!" He told himself before doing some push-ups and standing back up only to see the others in the mirror behind him laughing.

"Very nice. Perhaps if you tried the phrase 'Fire dork', maybe it might work," Cole suggested with a smirk.

"Or perhaps something along the line of ''So Busted'!" Lydie commented as Kai frantically took off the hood and turned to them.

"How long have you all been watching?!" Kai asked in embarrassment.

"Oh, long enough, big brother, long enough," Nya told him with a giggle. "At least, enough to see your new costume,"

"The 'Green Ninja' Gi. That's awesome!" Jay said. "Looks like Sensei was already to choose one of us when it was time."

"Why were you in Wu's room anyway, Kai?" Lydie asked.

Kai then tried to explain himself. "Well, I was looking for some kind of clue from Sensei and then I found this," He said before Zane stepped forward.

"But you know only he who is foretold to face Lord Garmadon is destined to be the Green Ninja, and only he should wear the Green Ninja outfit," Zane told him. "So Sensei would most likely be very-"

"Ticked off you were snooping around his things?" Nya asked with a smirk.

Kai sighed and walked towards the window. "I know, I know. But I thought if I just tried it on, it might help me see my True Potential," he said as the others joined him. "It's not fair that you guys have unlocked your cool powers and I still haven't,"

The other Ninja understood Kai's frustrations, being the only one who didn't have any powers. He felt like he was the weakest one, but they knew Kai would never find his True Potential if didn't overcome whatever was holding him back.

Kai then decided to change the subject and turned to them, "Besides, Sensei's still gone and we don't know when he's coming back-"

As soon as he said that however, the sound of someone walking on the deck was heard,

"Hello! I'm home!" Wu's voice was heard.

The Ninja, minus Kai, and Nya all beamed, "Sensei!/Uncle!" They all cheered happily ast they all rushed out of the room to see Wu again, except for Kai since he remembered that he's still in the Green Ninja suit and quickly ducked to change back because if Wu found out what he did, he was dead meat.

On deck, the Ninja gathered around Wu as he and Lydie shared a hug, "Welcome home Uncle." Lydie said as they broke away.

Wu chuckled as he looked at his pupil, "It's so good to be home again." He said as he turned to Nya, "And Nya, that color suits you well."

Nya gave a small smile as she smoothed her blue dress over. "Thanks, Sensei." She said.

"So glad you're back." Zane said with a grateful smile.

"Did you bring us anything?" Cole eagerly asked.

"Oh, Sensei, have you missed a lot we just found out." Jay said as he walked up on the table. "Zane's a nindroid, Nya's the mysterious Samurai, Lydie's got the voice of a rockstar, Cole's the song of a famous dancer…" He recounted gesturing to each member of the team respectively.

Jay was cut off when Wu gave a surprise and confused look. "Zane is a what?" He asked, wanting to be sure he heard right.

"It's a long story uncle, we'll fill you in later," Lydie explained as she stepped forward, "But just a quick note, you should know that all the boys, minus Kai, unlocked their true potential while you were away."

"Have you now?" Wu said in an impress and proud tone as he looked around. "Where is Kai?" He asked, noticing one Ninja is missing.

"Right here." Kai called out as he rushed into the room, in his own suit, and stood in front of Wu dusting himself off, "So glad you're back safe," He said.

Lydie then felt a slight headache in her head as she grunted a bit. The others saw this as they look at her in concern. "Lydie, what's wrong?" Nya asked in concern.

"Something's not right, I sense something… familiar." Lydie said as she shook her head. "Something I haven't felt since…" She Kaied off as she looked behind Wu as the others followed.

Behind Wu, four extra arms spread behind him as coming out from behind Wu is Lord Garmadon as he reveal himself to the group.

Lydie was shocked to see her father again. "Dad?" She asked in shock.

"Lydie." Garmadon replied back calmly.

Shocked by the return of their oldest enemy, with a new form, Kai gasped in surprise before glaring. "Aah! Sensei, behind you!" He shouted as he jumped in front of Garmadon, drawing his Sword of Fire while the rest of Ninja were shocked or stood protectively in front of the others.

"Sensei?!" Zane shouted as leaped in front of Wu while Kai slashed his Sword at Garmadon, though the Dark Lord managed to avoid it he was knocked off his feet.

"He's got four arms!" Kai said as he pounced onto Garmadon as the dark lord grabbed his sword with his four arms.

Garmadon grunted as he tried to push the fire ninja off him. "So, we meet again!" He growled to Kai.

"He must have followed you, Sensei!" Kai told Wu as he prepared to strike Garmadon again before Wu rushed over to him.

"Kai, stop!" Wu ordered as he gestured to his brother. "He is the reason I left. For so long as Pythor has Lloyd, he will be our guest." He explained.

"Wait, what?!" Lydie asked in surprise.

"We have to live with this guy?!" Cole exclaimed.

"But sensei, he has four arms!" Zane pointed out.

Jay then pushed pass them. "Uh, must I remind you ever since he turned evil he's been trying to get the Golden Weap-?" He reminded but Wu didn't let him finish.

"ENOUGH!" Wu roared as the six stood at attention in a line.

"Yes, sensei," They said as Garmadon stood up.

"This isn't about the Golden Weapons. It's about saving my son." Garmadon told them as he stood beside Wu.

"From here on out, you will obey me and you will respect our brother," Wu ordered them as Garmadon crossed his upper arms.

"Yes, Sensei." They all bowed in understanding while Kai and Lydie looked at Garmadon, Kai glared at him while Lydie is having mixed feelings about this.

"Look on the brightside my child, at least we finally the chance for some quality time with each other." Garmadon said while giving an evil smile at Lydie.

Lydie gave a nervous smile and slight nervous chuckle from that. "I don't know how I feel about this." She said nervously as Garmadon gave a chuckle.

"Do dispair, you will soon." Garmadon assured.

"Now, to the bridge." Wu said to them as he lead on. "We must put our attention to more pressing matters." He said as he walked up the stairs to the bridge with his brother behind him.

Before Garmadon fallow his brother, he shot the group a sinister smile, Kai growled and tried to keep himself from doing something foolish while Lydie was having really mixed feelings about her father being here.

At the bridge, Wu is asking his pupils about what he missed so far.

"So, where are we at with the four Fangblades?" Wu asked.

"Oh. Pythor's managed to take the first two, but there's still two left." Jay answered.

"And we only need one in order to prevent him from unleashing The Great Devourer," Cole added.

"Any luck finding their whereabouts?" Wu asked again.

"Not yet, Uncle. So far we've mostly relied on the Serpentine heading there first and snatching before they do." Lydie explained, "Which hasn't worked well so far."

"But the falcon is programmed to alert us if he sees any suspicious activity." Zane informed, since finding out his true origin and the falcon as well, it's been helping the Ninja by flying around Ninjago if anything suspicious happens and reports back to them in the bridge.

"Good, if we find the Fangblades, we find Lloyd." Wu said before turning to the two siblings. "Kai and Nya, prepare the deck and double check the anchor." He instructed while Kai looked at Garmadon briefly. "We need to be ready when we first get word of activity." He advised.

"Yes, Sensei." The two siblings said with a bow as they walked out the bridge to do just that as Kai looked at Garmadon again.

"I have my eye on you." Kai threatened as Garmadon just gave an evil smirk as Kai kept watching him, but then he didn't pay attention where he's going as he bumped his head into a wall as Wu sighed in disbelief before Kai finally left until Nya dragged him out.

Lydie kept watching her father in mixed feelings as she was silent at him as the father and daughter kept looking at each other.

Wu then turned to Jay. "Jay, did you said that Zane was a Nindroid and the falcon was programmed?" He asked, wanting to know if he heard right and wanting to know how much he missed, mostly involved Zane being a nindroid.

"Ha-ha. Okay, sensei." Jay started. "I don't know where to start. It all started when we saw the falcon…" He then tell Wu everything what happened since he left.

Outside the bounty, Kai and Nya were talking as they prepared the ship for mobilization, "But Nya, didn't you see? He has FOUR arms!" Kai stated as he started swobbed the deck. "Wherever sensei found him, he's now made it possible to so that he can possess all four weapons at once. I don't trust him. Not one bit." He said.

"Kai I don't trust Garmadon as far I can throw him either, but you have to remember, he's not just the Dark Lord, he's also sensei's brother and Lydie and Lloyd's father." Nya reminded her brother as she moved to open the sails. "Though he's pure evil and tried to drop me in lava, Sensei, Lydie and Lloyd still hold him close their hearts." She added as the sails open.

Kai then realized, "Wait, that it!" He declared.

"What?" Nya asked in confusion.

"To unlock my power. Sensei said the heart is the key," Kai explained. "Maybe if I stand up to Lord Garmadon, I'll find my True Potential and then everypony can see I'm the Light Ninja!" he declared with a flip and kick onto the lower deck. "Ha! Nya, you are a genius!"

At any other time, Nya would like to brag about her brother calling her a genius, but this time Kai misinterpreted her words. "Um, I don't really follow your logic-" she tried to say but Kai Interrupted her.

"No time to explain! I have to go train! If I'm gonna confront Garmadon soon..." he said doing some moves and then he backflipped back to her, "I gotta be at the top of my game."

"But Sensei said he's our guest, and that we had to respect him," Nya reminded him.

"Garmadon might've fooled Sensei, but don't think for a second I'm not keeping my eye on him," Kai told her as he turned to his sister. "Nya, the Lord of Darkness just became our roommate!"

While the Ninja were brushing their teeth with toothbrushes, though Jay and Zane were put off when they saw Garmadon was sharpening his with a file. And surprisingly, it was doing wonders for his teeth as he smiled and they gleamed.

Later at breakfast, while everyone were enjoying their food, Garmadon was eating what looked like a plate of thick, black sludge with live maggots. He held one up with his fork and winked at Kai, who was glaring at him, before scarfing it down.

"What's he eating?" Kai asked Lydie as the girl looked a little disgusted her father was actually eating that.

"That's condense evil." Lydie answered while cringing a bit. "He's says it's suppose to be low in fat. I guess the devourer's venom did more than just change his appearances and mind a bit, but it also changed his diet as well as his daily routines." She explained.

Garmadon stopped eating and swallowed, "It's true. Since I was bitten, I had to find some way to make a little 'normal' routine for myself." He said before he continued to eat like a vacuum cleaner as one of his maggots fell off his plate.

The maggot crawled it's way to Kai, which he groaned in disgusted at before swatting it away with his fork.

"At least chew, dad." Lydie groaned in embarrassment, really grateful the Devourer Venom wasn't inherited.

Later, Jay and Nya were watching a nice romantic film. They were focused on a tear-jerking goodbye scene, before Garmadon used his magic to change the channel a few times only to stop a horror film. He started laughing at it like it was comedy, while Nya and Jay turned to him in annoyance, their movie night having been spoiled.

The Bounty was soon sailing through a storm. Kai and Zanewere struggling to keep the ship stable while Lydie was out on deck adjusting the sails constantly to keep up with the wind.

"Where's Garmadon?" Zane asked Kai.

Kai gave a sigh as he looked out the window. "Sunbathing." He answered.

Outside Garmadon was relaxing on a blanket with sunglasses, like he was trying to get a tan in the middle of storm.

"How can you…" Lydie starts as she rushes starboard, "...Think about getting…" She added heading to port and pulling a rope, "...While we're in the middle of a Storm?!" She finished heading to the middle with rope.

"What do you expect, sweetie?" Garmadon asked with a relaxing smile. "When you are filled with pure evil, you think any natural causes like thunderstorms just happen everyday? It's perfect time to relax and just forget about ruling Ninjago."

"How much did that snake's venom change you, father?" Lydie questioned. "Other than the obvious appearance and the four arms." She quickly added.

"Well seeing how we time, allow me to give you my evil life story," Garmadon stated and started giving her an autobiography as Lydie sighed tiredly, knowing this was gonna be a long ride through the storm.

At night time, Lydie yawned and stretched as she walked back to her room, "I gotta lie down." She said before she passed her father carrying a basket of clothes, "Hey dad, where ya going?" She asked tiredly.

"Oh, your friend Nya suggested that doing some duties around the Bounty would make the boys more welcoming to myself." Garmadon explained.

"To be honest, with how you look, it's kinda hard to feel welcome. No offense." Lydie said.

"None taken. Now if you'll excuse me." Garmadon said as he walked down the hall.

Lydie just shrugged and continued walking, awake enough to see the door opened slightly, letting her know her roommate was already inside as she walked in, "Hey Nya, if your done with the shower I'll just-WHOA!" Lydie was suddenly wide awake as she covered her eyes, turned her head and locked the door behind her.

Nya was standing there, as naked as the day she was born, as she hunched over and covered her chest and groin areas with her hands as she had an irritated and blushing face. Though she had some relief it was just Lydie.

"What happened?" Lydie asked as she still covered her eyes.

"You're father happened." Nya answered while giving an embarrassed/annoyed tone. "He said that he would do the laundry, but he decided take ALL of my clothes, including my underwear!" She called out as she continued to cover herself.

"How did he manage to…" Lydie tried to asked.

"Turns out, those four arms are really good at gathering clothes twice as fast while you're in the shower." Nya explained as she tried to keep herself covered while her face was as red as her brother's Gi. "This is worse than what those snakes did to me back at Mega Monster Amusement park. At least they left me a little bit covered."

"I don't think father would do this on purpose, even he's not that evil. He probably thought you had some clothes to put on in the shower room." Lydie explained as she slowly removed her hands and smiled slightly at Nya.

Nya sighed, "That's what I get for not locking the door, I suppose." She admitted, "I've gotta remember to keep a spare change of clothes on me at all times."

"By the way, we're both girls here, Nya. You don't have to cover up around me." Lydie pointed out a little sheepishly.

"Sorry, reflex." Nya said as she lowered her arms away from her privates while rubbing her head. "I guess when you're in a ship full of boys, you tend to make sure your always decent."

"I get that. It is the bare truth." Lydie quipped as the two laughed, before they jumped at the sound of the door knocking.

"Hey, Nya? Lydie? You there?" Kai asked on the other side.

Nya panicked and covered herself again, "Oh no. Don't let Kai see me like this! Please!" She begged quietly, frantically looking for something to hide her body, "If he finds out what Garmadon did, he's going to throw him right off the ship!"

"Don't worry, I'll take care of this. You just hide and be quiet." Lydie said as Nya hide at the side of one of their beds as Lydie walked up the door and opened it before exiting the room as she closed it. "Hey, Kai? How's it going?" She asked nervously.

"Have you seen Nya? I just saw Garmadon heading to the laundry room with a lot of our extra clothes." Kai asked suspiciously.

"Oh, she's out in her Samurai gear, looking for any Serpentine activity." Lydie lied while sweating nervously, "Gotta be on our toes in this race of the Fangblade, right?"

Kai nodded, "I guess, just be careful." He warned before turning and walking away, "Last thing I want is Garmadon sabotaging our own pants too." He added before he was out of sight.

Lydie sighed in relief as she entered the room and Nya popped her head out, "Is he gone?" She asked as Lydie locked the door again and gave her a thumbs-up which made Nya sigh in relief, "Thank goodness, now onto the problem of what I'm supposed to sleep in?" She asked as she stood up and dusted herself off.

"Your bed?" Lydie joked with a snort.

Nya gave a look. "Very funny. I mean what I'm supposed to wear? I'm literally naked!" She corrected while gesturing to her bare body.

Lydie giggled, went to her drawers, opened it and pulled out some of her clothes, "Here. I loan you some of mine," She said, tossing Nya a lavender top and dark purple shorts, "We can get your clothes tomorrow."

Nya caught the clothes and looked at them carefully before she put them on. As Lydie was slightly older, her clothes were a little big on her but still fitted properly, "A little baggy but should work for tonight." She said before turning to her best friend with a smile, "Thanks Lyd."

"What are best friends for?" Lydie shrugged before she did Spinjitzu and changed into her own pjamas, "Now, let's get some sleep. The sooner we rest, the sooner we can get the Fangblade and hopefully, find my brother." She said while looking worried.

Nya approached her and placed a hand on her shoulder, "Don't worry Lydie, we will save Lloyd." She said with a smile.

Lydie smiled and gave Nya a hug, "Thanks Nya." She said as they broke away.

Nya shrugged with a grin, "What are best friends for?" She asked, repeating Lydie's earlier words as the laughed and climbed into their beds, "Well, Goodnight." she said as pulled her blankets over and Lydie did the same.

"Night." Lydie replied as she turned off the light and the two fell asleep.

In the boy's quarters, the boys were about to go to sleep but were interrupted by Garmadon, generating a ball of electricity while in his sleeping bag.

"Do you have to do that?!" Kai asked as he sat up, "We're trying to sleep."

Garmadon just chuckled evilly to himself and kept powering the ball. Kai groaned and covered his face with a pillow while the others tried to get as much sleep as they could.

The next morning, after Lydie got Nya's clothes back from the laundry, much to the Samurai girl's relief, and had talk to her father about respecting a woman's decency, the Dark Lord and the Purple Ninja decide to have some bonding time…over a shooting game.

"You're going down old man!" Lydie declared with a wide smirk as she mashed the buttons as fast as she could.

"Do not assume victory before the final strike, young lady!" Garmadon advised as they kept on shooting.

From the door the boys and Nya were watching the two go at it, "Wow, who would thought the Dark Lord would be a game fanatic." Jay said in surprise.

"He and Lydie aren't even playing the game right," Kai retorted, "All Garmadon is doing is shooting and destroying things!"

"Um, that's the point of the game, Kai." Nya stated dully.

"I've noticed that when he's not focused on turning Ninjago into his own image, he's quite fascinating," Frost pointed out with a small smile.

"Sure, the four arms freakish, but all and all, he doesn't seem that bad of a guy." Cole admitted, finding Garmadon good company.

"Not to mention the way he bonded with Lydie, the two seemed to be getting along fine." Nya noted with a small smile at Lydie bonding with her father. Though she was annoyed that Garmadon left her bare in her room, she couldn't help but feel happy for her friend for having time with her father.

"Yeah, even I think he's okay. I mean, compare to my parents, Garmadon is an upgrade." Jay added, since his parents lived in a junkyard, Garmadon is an upgrade compare to that.

Kai however frowned at how blind his friends were bring, "He might be pulling the wool over all your eyes, but not me!" He declared as Garmadon laugh while Lydie groaned when the former got the high score, "He's up to something, and I'm gonna be ready for it." He said determinedly while the others gave him confused looks.

Zane's Fallcon cried out as it soared through the air, flying over the forest close near the Fire Temple. It soon landed on a rock and spotted something of interest: Pythor and the Serpentine making their way to the volcano, with Lloyd pulled behind them in a cage held by Burmesia. The Falcon used its robotic eyes to take camera shots and footage of this and sent it back to the Ninja.

On the ground, Burmeisa was in front of Lloyd as a Serpentine was carrying the cage

"Well, Lloyd, looksss like the ninja are having trouble ressscuing you when they are focusss on usss on finding the Fangbladesss." Burmesia taunted with a smirk. "Sssome friendsss you have."

"If I wasn't held captive and you were keeping them busy, they would've kicked your tails right now!" Lloyd called out.

"Really? That'sss a lot coming to the ssson of the very being who took my father from me." Burmesia said with a light glare.

"What are you talking about? What did my dad did to you other then fight you snakes so long ago?" Lloyd asked in confusion.

Burmesia then turned to him. "You really don't know anything, do you Lloyd?" She asked with a slight anger look. "Didn't they teach you anything, the Ninja or that boarding ssschool of yoursss?"

"To be honest, I am a slow learner." Lloyd admitted with a shrug.

"Oh for the love of…" Burmesia sigh in annoyance. "After my people lost the war, while we were intombed, my father and his commandersss were banished to a realm of cursssed sssoul, by your father!"

Lloyd gaped in shock, "My father? That's a lie!" He said while gripping the bars while Burmesia turned away.

"It wasssn't just you're father who agreed to it, Lloyd. You're uncle, Sssensssei Wu, and a few othersss were the onesss who recommended it." Burmesia said in deep pain.

"Burmesia, listen to me! My uncle and father would never do that to your father!" Lloyd tried to tell her.

"IT WASSS ALL SSSAID IN THE HISTORY BOOKSSS, LLOYD!" Burmesia yelled as Lloyd flinched as she looked down in sadness and pain. "All my father wanted wasss to bring our ssspeicesss and yoursss together. And thisss isss the thanksss he get!? It isss one thing to be imprisoned or intombed, but banissshment to the realm of the cursssed?! That'sss a fate worssse than death!" She called out as tears started to form in her eyes.

Lloyd looked at Burmesia in sympathy, actually feeling sorry for her and he could understand her pain well since he hardly knew his mother but barely knew his father before his sister and uncle found him.

The Falcon saw enough and then flew back to the Bounty to report.

Back on the Bounty, Lloyd in the cage was shown on-screen with Burmesia in front of him while looking sad, but Kai was so busy on the bridge pretending to fight he did not even see it.

"Garmadon, get ready to get Kai'd!" Kai declared as flipped around the room, doing moves, "Fire! Wham, bammy, sorry to beat you. man!" He shouted as he pretended to play the guitar before hearing Wu's voice.

"This way. Come, come."

Kai followed the voice until he reached the doorway and snuck up quietly to listen in.

"I have come to understand the mysterious Samurai is no longer a mystery," Wu's voice was heard on the other side of the door.

In the room was Wu, Lydie and Nya, who were with him while Wu had the Green Gi and the Golden weapons on his bed.

"Oh yeah, you heard about that. I guess I picked up a thing or two watching Lydie and the boys." Nya remarked.

"It was a short time after you went to get my father, Uncle." Lydie explained. "Her identity was blown when the snakes caught her and had to tell the others when she was trapped." She said, while leaving out the embarrassing part out since that was something Nya would like to forget.

"Well, it was foolish of me to think that another girl could not be the destined Ninja of Yang." Wu admitted while Kai tried to peep through the door through the window while standing on a stepstool.

Kai was shocked from what Wu said. "Nya's the Green Ninja?" He whispered to himself, realizing that he and the others never considered that the Green Ninja may not have been one of them at all.

"How can you tell, Uncle? I mean, I get the prophecy is said that I'm the Yin for the Yang, but how will you know who's truly the Green Ninja since he could be anyone?" Lydie asked, since that's been running in her mind ever since she and the others found his prophecy scroll.

"Well, my young niece, when the four weapons are laid out before the Destined Ones, the weapons will react, revealing the identity of the Green Ninja of Yang." Wu explained.

Lydie went wide eye by this since he never told them about this in the first place. "You mean to tell us that the Golden Weapons can reveal the identity of the Green Ninja this whole time? And you were keeping this until now because why?!" She questioned in shock a wave of her arms.

"All things are destined to happen only when they should happen and not a moment sooner." Wu said wisely.

"What is it with you and secrets?" Lydie asked while rubbing her face. "I thought we moved pass this. Because the guys were going crazy on who would be the Green Ninja." She pointed out.

Wu didn't answer and nodded to Nya as the girl felt unsure about this. "But sensei…" She tried to say, not feeling sure about being the Green Ninja.

"Approach the weapons." Wu instructed, wanting to see if it's true that Nya is the Destined One while Kai watched.

"What are you doing here?" Garmadon asked Kai, startling him into falling off the stool.

"What are you doing out here?" Kai asked the same question.

"Evil never sleeps," Garmadon said as he approached Kai.

"Yeah, well, good never rests," Kai responded after getting up.

"Maybe we should take care of this right now," Garmadon suggested a bit menacingly.

"I was hoping you'd say that," Kai agreed as they started pushing each other back. but before a full-on fight could happen, Nya and Lydie opened the door.

"Both of you stop!" Lydie said, pushing her father back while Nya did the same for her brother.

"What are you two doing out here?" Nya asked them.

"Perhaps you two should be asking Mr. Snoopy Pants that question?" Garmadon ratted Kai out as the two girls turned to the fire ninja in shock.

"Kai, were you spying on us?" Nya asked in repulsive.

"Uh, no way! I was, uh, keeping watch." Kai lied. "So are you the Green Ninja, Nya?"

"Aha! So you were spying on us!" Lydie declared, pointing at Kai accusely, "Aren't you suppose to be in the bridge to hear back from Zane's falcon about the Serpentine?"

"Uh, I was." Kai honestly said. "But when I heard Wu talking to you two, I wanted to know what was happening." He admitted.

"Kai, that's exactly what my father just said, snooping." Lydie said dully as Garmadon gave a small laugh.

"Okay, I'm a nosey ninja, don't judge me!" Kai defended as he crossed his arms. "But seriously, Nya, are you the Green Ninja?" He asked again.

"What? Of course not." Nya answered amusingly.

"So the weapons didn't tell you?" Kai asked before he grew excitedly. "Ah, that means I still have a chance." He exclaimed excitedly before Wu came out of the room.

"Actually, we don't know because she didn't even try." Wu explained.

"At first, all I wanted was to be like you, but after seeing how obsessed you've become, brother, and discovered what I could do on my own, I'm happy being a Samurai." Nya explained with a small smile.

"It was her choice. And after seeing what she does to be a Samurai, she would rather be that than be a ninja after seeing your obsession, Kai." Lydie added.

"So then who's the Green Ninja?" Kai asked Wu.

"Perhaps we will never know." Wu said.

"But whoever is the Green Ninja, the Golden Weapons will react to them." Lydie said before giving Wu a look. "Something we should've know about before the first Serpentine Tomb was open." She said dully.

Jay then busted into the hallway, looking at Kai, "Kai you were suppose to be on the bridge!" He pointed out.

"Told ya." Lydie said while Kai gave an embarrassing look.

"Zane's falcon spotted the Serpentine." Jay informed as they all rushed to the bridge.

Gathered in front of the computers at the bridge, the others were looking at images of the Fire Temple, with Pythor and his armies heading towards it.

"Looks like Pythor is at the Temple of Fire." Nya said, seeing the very temple where the Sword of Fire was from.

"That means the Fangblade is there." Kai theorizes.

"And Lloyd." Both Garmadon and Lydie said in concern.

"That's the same Fire Temple where Kai, Lydie and Lord Garmadon faced off." Jay noted.

"Back to where it all started." Lydie added.

"And if memory serves me correctly, I say one of us cheated during our last fight." Kai said while giving Garmadon a glare.

"And I remember someone needing their sensei to save them." Garmadon retorted.

"Oh for the love of grandfather, guys!" Lydie yelled out to the two men as she got between them. "For the sake of Lloyd and the Fangblade, can we please just get along!?" She yelled out as Kai and Garmadon sigh. "Okay, Nya, give us an update. What's the condition of the Temple since our last visit, cause it's not looking good." She pointed to the screen of the Temple of Fire.

"Well, it looks like since the last time we've been there, the volcano has grown unstable." Nya informed while seeing the volcano becoming more unstable as rumbling and more smoke started bursting out. "The place is a power keg just waiting to blow up." She added.

"The Fire Temple was already a hot spot as it is, but from the looks of things, this will be a highly combustible environment." Lydie stated.

"Oh, great. Just what I like." Jay complained. "Fighting armed and deadly snakes in a highly combustible environment about to blow up." He called out.

"This doesn't make any sense, the volcano was stable for so many years before the Sword of Fire was place." Lydie stated, "Maybe after it was removed its stability slowly started to fall."

"I don't believe so." Wu spoke while stroking his beard. "When I first hid the Golden Weapons, the volcano was already stable before the sword was placed. And even if it was removed, it should have remain stable. Something else is causing it to lose stability." He stated.

"But like what? And even if it wasn't, the place is already about to blow, so this could get dangerous." Cole pointed out.

"We will do what we must." Wu said to them.

"Yes, sensei. But where are our weapons?" Zane asked as Kai noticed someone was not in the room with them anymore.

"And why is Lord Garmadon not here?"Kai asked but he already had an idea as he charged out of the room.

"Kai." Wu try to say but Kai as already out of the room and flipped his hood on.

Kai then burst edge into Wu's room and saw Garmadon holding all four Golden Weapons.

"I knee I couldn't trust you! You thief!" Kai accused the Dark Lord.

Garmadon, having about enough of the Fire Ninja's attitude, turned to him while brandishing the weapons, "Hrgh, foolish boy. I look forward to teaching you a lesson!" He told him.

"This ends NOW!" Kai declared, slamming his fists together.

"Indeed!" Garmadon agreed drawing the weapons.

Kai charged at Garmadon while he spun the Four Weapons.

"NINJA, GO!" Kai shouted doing his Spinjitzu as Garmadon leapt right towards him. Kai's Spinjitzu stopped midway as has he dodged a swing from Garmadon before he kicked them in the gut. The two of them crash-landed on the ground as Garmadon dropped the weapons.

"I'm alive. I'm alive!" Kai said in elation as Garmadon stood back up.

"You need to be taught a lesson!" Garmadon shouted as Kai turned to him.

He then threw a punch at Kai but he dodged and kicked him in the face. Garmadon was surprised at first but recovered and kicked Kai back. Kai flipped and rebounded off the wall towards Garmadon, grabbing him by the helmet, flipping over him and knocking him down. Garmadon and Kai then threw punches at each other, connecting each hit with their opponent.

...Big mistake.

The impact hurt them both a lot. Kai shook his hand while Garmadon nursed his. While Garmadon was still checking his hoof, Kai heard Nya calling out from the hallway.

"Kai, you in there?" Nya called out from behind the door.

Kai was not going to let the others cheat him out of unlocking his powers. As the others walked down the corridor, Kai closed and locked the door; he needed to defeat Garmadon alone. Nya and the others walked up to the door to hear the two of them fighting inside the room. NYa tried to open the door, only to find that it was locked.

"What are you doing?!" Nya asked her brother inside before his face was pressed against the window of the door.

"Discovering my True Potential!" Kai answered before Garmadon through him against a wall. He turned to them to open the door but Kai pounced on him before that.

Jay pulled on the door but it was locked tight, "It won't open!" He grunted.

"Kai, stop! Dad, enough!" Lydie called out as she banged the door as the two kept fighting. "Why are they fighting!?" She questioned.

Nya knew she has to tell them why Kai is doing this. "Kai thinks he'll unlock his power if he stands up to Lord Garmadon." She revealed.

"What?!" Lydie questioned in shock.

"Why would he think that?" Zane asked Nya.

"He thinks he's the Green Ninja!" Nya stated while twirling her finger to her head.

"Okay, this whole Green Ninja thing is seriously getting on my nerves!" Lydie yelled out in frustration.

"Well if we don't open this door soon, I think's he's gonna be mincemeat." Cole said in worried.

"Okay, I had enough of those two! Stand back!" Lydie yelled out before she moved forward as she summons her powers as elemental energy circled around her as her eyes turned purple. "Darkness!" She yelled out as she blasted the door to bits and they all charged in to find Kai standing on top of Garmadon, who is laying on the floor.

Kai panted before raising his hands up victoriously, "I defeated him, I did it!" He declared and looked at himself, "Did I unlock my powers? Are my eyes glowing?! Is this my True Potential?!" He asked frantically, only to see that his powers haven't been brought out. "Argh! Why isn't it working?!" He questioned in frustration.

"Because you can't defeat someone who allowed himself to be defeated." Sensei Wu told him as he stepped forward.

"Kai, get off my dad." Lydie said firmly.

Kai moved himself off Lydie Wu helped Garmadon up. "I never had any real intention to hurt you, boy," Garmadon explained. "I was only fetching your weapons."

Kai however wasn't buying it. "But you were trying to steal them-" He accused before Wu spoke.

"I ask him to get them." Wu pointed out while giving Kai a disappointed look, "Perhaps it is best you don't reach your true potential, or else some one could get hurt."

Lydie than gave a firm look, "And another thing Kai, if you were spying on us earlier, you would know the Golden Weapons are what decides who is the Green Ninja is," She said before gesturing to the four weapons around Kai, "And as you can plainly see, they aren't reacting which means one thing and one thing only…" She paused to let Kai say the ugly truth himself.

Kai looked around at the four weapons around him as he realized that she is right. "Wait, the weapons would've react if I was the one. But, that would mean…" He Kaied off as he couldn't finish.

"You're not the Green Ninja." Lydie answered sternly. "Sorry, Kai, but if you were, the weapons would've react. But now you know you aren't. You need to stop this whole obsession of being a Green Ninja before it would cost us something more important." She said.

"Way to go, hero," Cole commented as Kai looked down in shame and guilt while the others just scowled at him in disappointment. He knew they were right; he had been letting the personal mission of proving to be the Light Ninja was really costing them a lot, especially Lloyd.

"Oh. Poor thing." Nya said as she came to them. "Let us help you." She added as she, Wu and Lydie helped Garmadon to his feet.

"Yes. Poor thing," Garmadon subtly mocked at Kai with a smirk. Kai trembled with rage at the Dark Lord provoking him, but reined it in as he would only be making it worse for himself.

Then as Garmadon stood up as Lydie noted something else, "Wait, all four of you are in the room with the Golden Weapons, but they aren't reacting to any of you." She said

The others notice this as they looked down and saw their weapons around them. "Hey, how did we miss that?" Jay asked.

"But if none of the weapons are reacting to any of us, then…" Zane started.

"None of us are the Green Ninja either." Cole finished in realization.

Wu stroke his beard. "It would seem destiny has someone else in mind." He said.

"But, what about the prophecy, Sensei?" Kai asked. "I mean, it showed the four of us with Lydie and the Green Ninja. What does it mean?" He questioned.

"Have you ever considered if the Ninja of Yang might not have been one of you four at all?" Nya asked the boys.

Lydie rubbed her chin in thought, "She's right, but if none of you four are the Green Ninja, then who-" Before she could finish, the Bounty shook.

"That's gonna have to wait. Sounds like we've finally reach our destination." Cole said as they went up on deck and saw a river of lava and the Fire Temple just right next to them. "The Fire Temple." He said.

"Looks more fired up then last time." Lydie commented as the group exit the Bounty and walked on the bridge to the temple.

"The volcano seems to be on the verge of eruption, guys." Nya said through the falcon as she was on the bridge. "All recent indicators tell me that this place is becoming increasingly fragile. Even the smallest rumble can make the whole thing go off." She informed them.

"Then we must not use our weapons." Wu informed as the three boys put their weapons away while Kai still kept his Sword out.

"Kai?" Nya firmly said.

"Ah." Kai sigh in annoyance and disappointment. "Yeah, yeah. No Sword of Fire." He said as he put the Sword on his back. "But only because I wouldn't want anything to prevent us from getting that Fangblade." He called out.

"Or my brother." Lydie added after hearing Kai as Garmadon nodded in agreement with Lydie.

Nya can see Kai's expression as she flew the falcon close to him. "Kai, you need to focus. Things could get dangerous in there." She pointed out.

"Yeah, for me. Since I didn't unlock my powers." Kai said without looking at the falcon.

"Well maybe, if you haven't been so busy trying to prove your something you're not, you would've found it by now."

"That's a lot coming from you sister." Kai said. "Incase you've forgotten, I was a lousy blacksmith, then Garmadon showed up, kidnapped you, chained up over lava, trying to help my friends, we lost Lloyd to the Serpentine, and two out of four Fangblades are in Pythor's hands, and not to mention, the others unlocked their True Potential before I did. So excuse me for being desperate! I'm practically the weakest link here!" He retorted.

The falcon stood quiet for a moment as on the bridge, Nya was speechless as she never knew her brother feel that way. "Kai, you're not the weakest link." She tried to assured.

"Nya, the others can use their powers without using the weapons at the moment, for me, I still have to rely on my Sword just stand a chance!" Kai pointed out.

"Kai, it's not the sword that makes you a ninja. It's you." Nya said while trying to encourage her brother. "And I know you'll find your power, but only until you overcome what's holding you back."

"But what? I still don't know what's holding me back." Kai pointed out.

"I'm sure you'll find it." Nya assured.

"There." Wu said as he pointed to the skull end of the temple he went through before he ended up in the Underworld. "The Serpentine must be inside the inner core. From here on out, we travel by shadows." He instructed them as they rushed into the temple.

"It's the only wat I know how." Lydie said as she lead the charge.

"And I as well, daughter." Garmadon said as they all rushed further into the tunnel.

Soon they quietly rushed down the tunnel where they saw the Serpentine standing around what looked like an old lava mine. Pythor was seen looking at the map while a Hypnobrai was digging at the ground.

"I think we figured out what's making the volcano so unstable." Cole commented, now seeing the Serpentine's digging was fracturing the foundation of the volcano..

Jay then looked to her right and gasped silently. "There's Lloyd!" He told them as they saw Lloyd sitting sadly in a cage with Burmesia next to him, who was crossing her arms as she stood silently.

Garmadon gasped as he saw his son. "Son," He said as he tried to reach out to him.

"Dad, wait." Lydie whispered quietly as she grabbed his shoulder. "We're lucky we haven't been spotted yet. And I want to save Lloyd as much as you, but we need to get closer first." She said.

The others nodded as they carefully scaled down the wall.

Meanwhile, Pythor heard what sounded like metal being struck in the ground, making him look up from the map to address the diggers.

"Argh, out of my way, fool!" he shouted at the Hypnobrai that was digging before he pushed him aside. He looked closer and saw the third Fangblade sticking out of the ground.

"The third Fangblade is ourssss!" Pythor declared as all the other Serpentine cheered and laughed, now they were only one Fangblade away from their goal.

As the heroes continued scaling the wall, Pythor looked at the blade and in its reflection, he saw the Ninja and the others in it behind him.

"Ninja? Pythor shouted in surprise.

Burmesia saw them as she was surprised as well. "Don't they know when to quit?" She questioned in disbelief.

Lloyd gave a smile at his friends and family. "No they do not." He said in joy.

Pythor then turned to them pointing the blade. "Attack!" he commanded his army, who took notice of the heroes too and pulled out their weapons.

With their cover blow, the group stood ready for battle, "Light as a leaf! Attack like there's no tomorrow!" Wu ordered them as he whacked a Hypnobrai off, which he landed in the lava before he jumped out and ran off with his rear end on fire.

"Ow, owowow, ow! Hot tail! Hot tail! HOT TAIL!" The Hypnobrai yelled in pain asa Wu knocked away more Serpentine.

Cole and Lydie kicked away some more Serpentines as Jay punched one down before a lava sprout bursted. "Lighting!" He called out as he use his powers to clear off the lava with a lightning tornado as he did an air kick.

Zane then punched two Serpentine behind him without even looking. "Ice!" He commanded, creating an ice slide to kick away the Serpentine.

Kai soon found himself surrounded, and being the only one without powers he had no way of fighting back. Then after contemplating with himself, Kai drew the Sword of Fire and used its power to beat back the Serpentine. Unfortunately, the volcano sensed the Sword's elemental power and soon the lava began glowing and rising around them.

"Kai! Your sword is compromising our safety!" Nya told her brother through the Falcon.

Kai however, even though seeing the danger they were in, refused to put away his Sword, "I will do what I must." He said firmly, repeating the words Wu told them earlier.

The Serpentine then decided it was time to leave. "Let's get out of here!" Pythor called out as he turned to three Constrictai with a smirk, "But not before we leave them with a parting gift! BOYS!" The Serpentine diggers saluted as they started burrowing throughout the cave, lava spewing out from the holes they created as the volcano started shaking violently.

"They're making the volcano unstable." Zane told the others.

"Any minute this place is gonna blow!" Jay added as the ground began to shook. "We have to get out of here!"

Garmadon and Lydie pushed them aside and glared at the retreating Snakes, "Not without my son!" Garmadon said firmly.

"I'm not letting them get away with him again!" Lydie added firmly.

"Dad! Lydie!" Lloyd called out to them from the stairways.

"We're coming, Lloyd!" Lydie called out as she and Garmadon then jumped across the lava and started knocking away the snakes as they climbed up to get Lloyd.

Pythor saw Garmadon approaching and knew exactly what he was coming for.

"Argh! Lossse the boy!" he ordered the Serpentine carrying Lloyd, having no further use for their 'liberator'.

"What?!" Burmesia asked in shock before the Serpentine that were holding Lloyd threw his cage over the edge and down into the Lava.

"Help!" Lloyd cried out.

"Lloyd!" Both Lydie and Garmadon yelled in horror, but at the last second Lydie jumped and grabbed the handle of Lloyd's cage just in time causing Lloyd to land on a ledge but the lava was slowly rising.

Lydie tried to hold on, but the heat from the Volcano was making her hands sweated as she tried to keep her grip tight, "Dad, help!" She called out as she felt herself slipping.

"I'm coming, Lydie! Just don't let go of your brother!" Garmadon called out as he knocked away each Serpentine as the lava was getting close to Lloyd as Lydie tried to keep a firm grip.

He looked up ahead as there were more Serpentine but not enough time to reach his daughter to help save his son. One Serpentine charged at Garmadon with a sphere before Garmadon grabbed it and flipped that Serpentine over and charged at a bunch of them before using the spear to hurdle over them. He landed next to Lydie as he used his four arms as the two then grabbed the handle of the cage and pulled Lloyd up to safety.

"Dad. Lydie." Lloyd said happily as he held onto the cage through the hole the lava burned through as he swung int Lydie's arms and hugged her tight.

"I got you, little bro." Lydie said happily as she hugged her brother.

"My children." Garmadon said in relief and joy as he pulled his children into his arms for the first time in years.

As the Garmadon family are having their reunion, Burmesia watched in amazement at how much they cared for each other.

Kai then rushed pass them as he ignored them. "The Fangblade's mine!" He called out as he rushed up the stairs.

"Kai, come back! It's too dangerous!" Cole called out as the others were making their way from where they came in. "The whole place is going to explode!"

"Then I better be quick!" Kai shouted as Pythor was about to go through the hole the Serpentine came through with the Fangblade. Kai wasn't going to let him get away with it as he drew out his sword and through it at Pythor, knocking the blade out of his hand and sticking both it and the sword in the wall. Pythor let out a frustrated roar when the Fangblade was knocked out of his hand before he tried to pull the sword out of the wall to get the blade.

"Uncle, leave it! We mussst leave here at once before we're snake bbq!" Burmesia called out to Pythor from the hole before a burst of lava shot up in front of him. Pythor let a girlish yelp of fright before rushing through the hole, knowing the Fangblade was not worth getting fried over, before it caved in.

As the Garmadon family regrouped to the others, Kai still made a run for his Sword and the Fangblade.

"Leave it Kai! It isn't worth your life!" Jay shouted to him.

"Not without that Fangblade!" Kai shouted as he dodged another piece of falling rock.

"Kai, stop holding onto your pride and retreat! Your Sword might survive but the Fangblade might melt into the lava!" Lydie tried to reason as they notice the lava is still rising, but Kai still didn't listen.

"Everyone, get out of there now! The Volcano could erupt at any moment!" Nya called through the falcon as Kai reached his Sword started pulling on it.

"But what about Kai?" Lloyd asked before he turned to look where Kai was. "Kai!" He called out before a piece of the ledge he is standing on broke apart.

"Lloyd!" Both Garmadon and Lydie called out as they tried to grab him but was too late.

"NO!" Lydie said as she jumped down and grabbed onto Lloyd shielding him as they landed on a rock floating in the lava, "AAGH!" She screamed as her leg made a hard impact with the rock. "My leg!" She cried out.

"Dad!" Lloyd cried out as Lydie held onto him as Lloyd reach out to their father and friends as they tried to find a way to reach them while Kai tried to free his Sword and the Fangblade free.

"Lydie! We're sinking! Get us out of hear" Lloyd said as their rock raft was floated further and further away from their father and friends.

"I can't move my leg!" Lydie cried out while clutching her leg. "I think I sprain it!" She said before she pulled Lloyd in close to her.

"Ugh, it won't budge!" Kai grunted as pulled and pulled on his Sword, completely ignoring Lloyd and Lydie in the middle of lava. Then with one last pull, Kai freed his Golden Weapon but the Fangblade fell towards the lava before it got caught on a ledge.

The volcano was getting closer and closer to erupting as more debris fell around them, "We have to get out of here, or else none of us will get out of here!" Wu told them as Kai leapt down and tried to grab the Fangblade.

"But my children!" Garmadon argued, desperately trying to go back for children but Zane and Cole pulled him back before the rock covered their path.

Through the Falcon, Nya turned to her brother and gave him one last message, "Kai! Just this once, stop thinking about yourself and do what you do: Help your friends!" She called out before the Falcon flew out of the Volcano.

Lydie clutched her frightened brother close to her chest, "Be brave Lloyd. It's going to be okay." She said, though she knew there was no escape she didn't want Lloyd to spend his last moments afraid.

Kai seemed to have ignored his sister as he tried to grab the Fangblade as it sank closer and closer towards the lava. Kai growled in frustration, he was literally in his element and still he could do nothing, "Come on! Why won't my power unlock?" Kai demanded himself, wanting to know what he had to unlock his-

"Kai! Help us!" Lloyd's voice called out as Kai turned and saw Lloyd and Lydie in the the middle of the lava close to him as he can see Lydie's leg is injured.

Kai soon found himself with a tough choice: If he tried to save the Fangblade he would save Ninjago from the Serpentine and prove himself to be the Green Ninja but the Garmadon siblings would be doomed. But if he saved Lloyd and Lydie, he would lose the Fangblade, along with his last chance to become the Green Ninja.

Then he remember Nya's words, 'Just this once, stop thinking about yourself and do what you do: Protect your friends!' Her words repeated in his head. He looked towards Lloyd and Lydie, the children of the greatest villain of Ninjago, the younger who started this whole mess with the Serpentine and the elder who became one of his closest friends, and both who became an important of their family.

Then, looking into Lloyd's eyes, right then and there, Kai realized something.

With one last glance to Fangblade that was now sinking into the lava, Kai turned back to Lloyd and Lydie with determined look and did what he should've done from the very being: protecting his friends. "Come on! Let's get out of here!" Kai shouted as he jumped over to the two siblings and lifted Lydie up and got Lloyd onto his back.

"Thank you." Lydie said as Kai held her bridal style.

"But the Fangblade…" Lloyd called out as the Fangblade disappeared beneath the lava.

"Forget it! This place is coming apart!" Kai told him, not regretting his decision at all, as it was probably best the Fangblade was in the lava. "NINJA, GO!" Trail used Spinjitzu to jump from rock to rock before flying up to escape, but the cave entrance was already blocked.

But then before he could do anything he, Lydie and Lloyd soon found themselves surround by walls of fire, but strangely enough the flames didn't touch them, if anything they seemed to be protecting them. Kai felt a power rising inside of him and the Sword of Fire began to glow, he then realized what was happening as he, Lydie and Lloyd were ingulfed in the flames.

The others were making their way out of the volcano as Garmadon tried to struggle free of Zane's and Cole's hold. "Lloyd! Lydie! LLOYD! LYDIE!" He screamed out as they were making their way to the bounty. As the ship took off the volcano finally erupted and they looked on in fear.

"Kai." Nya whispered in dread.

"Kids." Garmadon said with sorrow, bowing his head.

But then, they saw a ball of red energy and fire spewing out of the volcano. but instead of falling to the ground the ball flew straight towards them. Inside the ball was Kai, surrounded by fiery elemental energy and his eyes glowing as he floated over to the bounty.

"It's Kai. He's found his true potential!" Jay declared as Kai landed on deck with both Lydie and Lloyd, covered in ash and soot, exhausted and Lydie with a sprained leg, but very alive.

After placing them down, Kai flipped up his hood and looked at Wu on the Bridge as Wu nodded to him with a proud smile for finding his power and for saving his niece and nephew.

Kai smiled as his powers diminished as he fell to the floor exhausted from the experience as Nya rushed over to him and sat him up, "I'm proud of you big brother, and I'm glad your okay." Nya said as she hugged Kai.

Kai gave a tired smile to her before turning to his friends with a guilty look, "I'm sorry guys. I lost the Fangblade." He said sadly.

"But you saved Lloyd and Lydie." Zane reminded with a smile as Jay helped Lydie stand and Garmadon took Lloyd in his arms.

Cole then kneeled down next to Kai, "Way to go, hero." He said, much more proudly as Kai smiled at his friends.

The Bounty flew away from the Fire Temple and the Volcano as the lava stream continues.

Soon they all gathered on the bridge as Garmadon was holding his son close to him while Lydie check him over, after getting her leg fixed up. "Dad? Is it really you?" Lloyd asked as he looked up to his father.

"It is, son." Garmadon answered as Lloyd looked down at his father's body.

"Dad… why do you have four arms?" Lloyd asked.

Lydie smiled, "He's gonna be just fine." She declared as the others cheered and she turned to Kai and gave him a hug, "Thank you, Kai." She said gratefully.

"Yes, thank you for saving my children." Garmadon finished with a grateful smile as well as Kai smiled in return.

Lydie then turned back to Lloyd and lifted him up in a hug, "And welcome home, Lloyd." She said with a smile as Lloyd laughed and hugged her back.

"But how did you survive, Kai?" Zane asked in interest. "How did you discover the key to unlocking your powers?" He wondered as the others are wondering the same thing.

"I knew I had to make a choice." Kai started. "I wanted the Fangblade so badly, to prove I could still be good enough to become the Green Ninja. "He said as the others listened. "But then I figured it out. All of my training to become the best ninja wasn't in preparation to become the Ninja of Yang and partnered with Ninja of Yin…It was to protect them." He said as he looked at Lloyd who Lydie was stilling holding.

Lydie blinked in confusion as she looked down at her brother, who was equally confused as he looked up at her. Then as she looked at his eyes carefully, she remember her dream and gasped in shock and realization, "I don't believe it." She breathed as Garmadon got what Kai and Lydie were saying as he looked at his son in shock.

The others soon caught on to what he meant and were shocked as well,"What?" Lloyd asked as he wondered why they were all looking at him. "What's everybody looking at me for?" He asked.

"Lloyd, father is the son of the First Spinjitzu Master, meaning your his grandchild, just like me." Lydie explained as she smiles down at him.

"So that means…" Nya started as the Ninja pulled out their Golden Weapons and huddled them around the Garmadon siblings as the Weapons floated with a green glow around Lloyd and a purple glow around Lydie.

Wu gasped in realization, "Lloyd is the Green Ninja of Yang." He said in surprise. "I had thought it would be one of you four, but it was Lloyd the whole time." He stated, surprised himself as he walked up to his niece and nephew. "It all makes sense. Not only have you four boys been chosen to protect the Golden Weapons, but also to protect the chosen ones." He finished as the Weapons diminished their glow and fell to the floor as the Garmadon siblings smiled at their uncle as Wu put a shoulder on Lloyd.

Lydie smiled at her brother as she place her down, "Now your just like me, Lloyd." She said while ruffling his hair.

Garmadon smiled with pride at his son for finding a destiny away from his path just like his sister until he realized something terrible. "That means..." He said with a frown on his face as Wu turned to him.

"The battle lines have bene drawn brother." Wu said in a sad tone as he, Lydie and Lloyd look at their father sadly. "Sadly, our family has only become more divided. Brother versus brother, and now, children versus father." He declared solemnly.

Lydie looked down in sadness, it was bad enough that she would have to face her father one day, but now her brother had to do the same as Lloyd shook his head and he jumped into his father's hands, the father he would one day have to fight along side his sister. Lydie then came over and hugged them too as Garmadon held the ones destined to stop him tightly.

The other watched with sympathy until Jay interrupted the tender moment.

"Heh, okay, this is heavy and all," Jay said with a smile before he frowned, "But could someone tell me whatever happened to THE FANGBLADE?!" He questioned them of the obvious problem.

"It sank into the lava, and I don't think anything could handle that much heat." Kai answered, "My guess is, it's probably just melted metal right now."

"I'm afraid not, Kai." Wu said as he and Garmadon are more worried then ever. "The Fangblade is still out there, intact." He said.

"What?!" The others asked in shock.

"How?! It fell into the lava!" Cole pointed out.

"The Fangblades aren't truly Silver, they are carved from the very original teeth of the Great Devourer." Garmadon explained as they turned to him, "The bone of them is so powerful that they can only be destroyed in the extraordinary heat of Ninjago's old Volcano, Torchfire Mountain." He revealed.

"Not even the volcano of the Fire Temple can compare to that mountain." Wu added.

Lydie then came to the horrible understanding, "So what your saying is…" She started before they heard the screen beeping as the Falcon came back with a new video, "Uh oh." She said.

Back at what remains of the Fire Temple, the Serpentine are climbing down the volcano as spirits were low. They had lost the Fangblade and what was needed to accomplish their goal.

"Well, that'sss it then." Burmesia sighed solemnly as she slithered next to her uncle, "Without that Fangblade, we'll never awaken the Great Devourer. It'sss over." She said in defeat.

Pythor knew that his niece was correct as he was low in spirit as well before he saw something floating down the lava stream.

"I wouldn't be ssso ssure my young niece." Pythor said as he slithered close to the lava stream and saw the blade of the Fangblade poking out from the lava. Pythor smiled as he used his staff to fish the Fangblade out of the lava as it landed on the ground blade first as Pythor looked at his reflection in it. "Ah, ssso beautiful." He said with a small smile.

Burmesia looked at the blade surprise. "B-but how? I thought the Ninja would've gotten it or it mussst've fell into the lava during the chaosss." She pointed out.

"Clearly, the Ninja didn't manage to retrieve it and the Fangblade isss made from the original teeth of the Great Devourer. Ssso ssstrong that not even thisss volcano could destroy them." Pythor smirked before turning to two Venomari soldiers walking by, "Cool and clean it off boys, becaussse we've only got one more blade to go!" He said before knocking the blade over to them, using his staff like a golf club.

The two yelped as the Fangblade was still hot, passing it to each other. Pythor ignored them as he chuckled evilly as they was now closer than ever to unleashing the Great Devourer.

From the Bounty, the others were looking at it in shock and worry as the Serpentine now had three Fangblades, "Oh, snap." Jay uttered, breaking the silence.

"Can't we catch a break?" Lydie questioned in frustration. "Now they have three blades. That means there's only one left." She pointed out.

"Then it is vital that we find it first!" Wu declared as he pointed his staff to each of his pupils, "Now that each of you have your powers, use them and scour every inch of Ninjago, find that blade!" He ordered.

"Yes, Sensei!" The Ninja nodded and rushed out of the bridge to start the hunt as Garmadon looked at Wu.

"I will help too, brother." Garmadon said to him.

"Are you sure you're up for this after discovering your unfortunate fate?" Wu asked his brother in concern,.

"I've never been more certain. If there's one thing I hate more than fighting my children, it's the Serpentine destroying Ninjago with the very snake that made me into this before I get my chance to recreate Ninjago." Garmadon declared.

"Good enough for me." Nya declared as she rushed to the door too, "I'm going to help too, it's time for the Samurai to get back out there!" She declared as she rushed out, leaving the two brothers and Lloyd behind as they prepare for what's coming.
