The Destiny's Bounty was flying through a powerful storm and in his quarters, Wu sat in meditation with some smoke filling his visions.
In the smoke he saw his ninja facing off against the Serpentine legions but were soon surrounded. Then he saw himself in the Lost City of Ourboros, facing Pythor as he aimed his staff at him, but then hear a roar that shocked him as he turned and saw the shadow of a monstrous creature rising up and lunging down at them with gapping jaws.
Wu opened his eyes as he gasped at what he saw as thunder struck as the Bounty kept flying through the storm. "Oh no." He whispered to himself.
Meanwhile in the dining room of the Bounty, the four Fangblades sat on the table with Nya, Kai, Lydie and Jay with the Fangblades in front of them. "Samurai X?" Kai asked his sister about her new name.
"I thought it sounds cool," Nya explained as she then turned to the Fangblades as Jay was eating a sandwich, "Bu I'm still confused, are we absolutely sure that Torchfire Mountain is the only place we can destroy the Fangblades?" She asked.
"Because like father said, the Fangblaes are made from the original teeth of the Devourer." Lydie pointed out.
"And they're so strong they can only break down in extraordinary heat of that particular volcano." Kai added in agreement. "We all learned that when Pythor got the third one from the Temple of Fire.." He added.
"Hey, could someone pass me the salt?" Jay asked before a loud thunderclap rocked the ship and the salt slid over to him. "Hey, thanks." He then put the salt on his sandwich before Cole opened the door, looking a bit green.
"Please. Noone talk about food," Cole asked before another thunderclap rocked the boat, making him nearly lose their balance. "How much longer can we get there?" He asked them, clearly showing he can't take much more of this storm
"Not long." Lydie explained, "Besides, we're traveling through this storm to make it harder for the Serpentine to follow and track us, so hang in there." She encouraged.
Jay then notices Cole's face. "Hey Cole, you look a little green over there." He noted as he gave gave a mischief smirk and held up his sandwich. "How'd you like a mucous salt sandwich?" He mocked.
Cole then covered his mouth again from the mention of food as he rushed to the side as he hurled.
"Lightweight." Lydie commented while shaking her head.
Jay laughed. "Ha, ha, speaking of green, who would have guessed little Lloyd Garmadon turned out to be the Green Ninja of Yang?" He asked, getting back to Lloyd and revealing him to be the second legendary hero of Ninjago was still hard to believe.
"I know. He was such a brat at first. It's hard to believe he's gonna become the greatest ninja that ever lived along side his big sister," Nya pointed out before Kai cleared his throat.
"Where is that little runt?" He asked.
"He's below deck to work on some of his training." Lydie answered. "After his embarrassing entrance in the Serpentine's fortress, he really needs it." She explained.
Below deck, Lloyd is in one of training rooms with some training equipment as he bore a serious look and flipped up his hoods.
"Serpentine," Lloyd said in a rodeo drawl, "It's time I Spinjitzu you back into the filthy holes you came from!" He said as he did a kick. "Ninja kick! Tiger claw!" He then throw some punches. "NINJA, GO!" He spun in attempt to do Spinjitzu.
But failed and was beaten back by the equipment and landed on the floor. Then, as a familiar figure appeared briefly when the lightning flashed as Lloyd heard a familiar chuckle. Lloyd removed his hood as he retreated a little bit from the unseen noise.
"What a joke," Pythor's voice slipped in, but Lloyd could not see him. Suddenly, Lloyd was then picked up by something he couldn't see. "You were always a boy who chased stupid dreams."
Then the Anacondrai appeared and holding Lloyd by his shirt, "Pythor!" Lloyd called out in shock. "How did you get aboard?!" He asked frighteningly.
"You think I would allow your sister and the Ninja to steal the Fangblades from me?" Pythor asked as he slithered over to a sandbag and tied up Lloyd.
"Unh! You'll never get away with it!" Lloyd told him. "Those Fangblades will be destroyed and you'll never waken The Great Devour-!"
He was cut off when Pythor taped his mouth and shook his head at them. "Oh, I wouldn't be so sure, my boy. As they say, out of sight…," he quipped as vanished again, "…out of mind!" He then bumped the sandbag he was tied to and left the room as the Lloyd struggled to free himself.
A tour train stops as the driver spoke up to the passengers on board over the PDA. "Thank you, everypony, for choosing the NInjago Tour Company to see our lands's most scenic destinations. And if you look to your left, you'll find Ninjago's very own Torchfire Mountain, the oldest Volcano in all the land, where the core of the natural volcano can reach up to three bajillion degrees." Everyone on board saw the biggest and tallest mountain with lava blowing out of it when they looked out their windows to see it.
One boy looked out the window and saw the Destiny Bounty flying towards the Volcano, "Look Mommy, a flying ship!" The boy said to his mother.
The mother just laughed, "Oh honey, ships don't fly, only planes do." She said amusedly.
"No mommy, it's a pirate ship!" The boy retorted.
The mother just chuckled. "Heh, uh-huh. That's nice, honey," She said as the tour bus moved on as they Bounty stopped just above the Mouth of The Volcano.
Nya steered the ship carefully into position, "Will everyone please place their seat back and trade table in the full upright and lock position?" She said while pretending to be a pilot of a plane. "We have reach our destination: Torchfire Mountain. Give it a minute while we settle into position." She said as she lowered the anchor.
Wu looked at the edge of the bounty as he saw the fiery depths of the volcano, still deeply troubled by his visions. The Anchor of the Bounty hooked into position as the Ninja stepped out with the boys each holding a fangblade.
"Ah! It's roasting out here." Jay said as he wiped his forehead.
"Heh." Kai chuckled as he was the only one not bothered by the heat of the volcano since he is a fire element. "If you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen." He quipped.
"Hey, what's with Sensei?" Cole asked as they all see Wu at the Edge while in thought.
"I don't know. He has been distant all morning." Zane said in concern.
Wu sigh as he kept watching the flames. "It is beautiful." He said.
"Uncle, we're ready to destroy the fangblades, but you don't looked like your onboard with this." Lydie pointed out in great concern as they walked up to him.
"You do not need my approval to finish the task." Wu said without looking at them.
"But Sensei-" Jay tried to say.
"Butts are for sitting," Wu told him. "And besides, there will come a time when you will have to go on without me."
"Sensei, you're talking crazy." Kai commented. "You've been alive for like forever." He added before Lydie nudge Kai for the rude commented.
"Watch it, Kai." Lydie whispered.
"What he is trying to say is you are like the sunrise." Zane explained with a smile.
"Yeah, Uncle. We can't began a day without you." Lydie pointed out.
"But even the sun itself must go down, so a new day to come." Wu said solemnly.
"I don't like metaphors," Cole admitted. "What are you trying to say? Are you leaving us again?"
"In meditation, my smoke visions have come to an end and tomorrow, I cannot see," Wu told his pupils. "This worries me."
"But it could be a good omen, you know," Jay guessed. "We destroy the Fangblades, then everything's gravy."
"Let's jus get rid fo them, for good." Wu told them as the Ninja then brought out a plank right over the volcano as they were about to throw one of the Fangblades in.
On the Bridge Nya was so busy monitoring the systems, that she failed to notice on the security camera a door opening and Pythor appearing with a hammer. He then threw it at one of the ship's engines, which would cause much problems for the Ninja.
The Destiny's Bounty was becoming unstable as the engines began to lose power. Nya were doing what they can to keep it steady and in the air. Everyone else however started to slide when the Bounty began tilting to one side, and they were holding on for their life as to not slide off. Wu was sliding near the plank and almost fell off before he grabbed on to it.
"Uncle! Hang on! We're coming!" Lydie called out as they dropped the Fangblades and raced over to save him carefully.
But then Wu lost his grip and fell. "NNOO!" he yelled as the other gasped… before at the last minute, they all formed a human chain and Lydie grabbed onto Wu.
"Ugh, you're not going anywhere, uncle!" Lydie said as she held on.
"Thank you, my niecee," Wu thanked.
Kai struggled to hold onto his friends as his legs led on the plank he turned to the Bridge. "Nya, what's going on?!" He called out.
On the bridge, Nya typed on the consol to try and get the ship stabilized.
"Someone or something has over writing the system." Nya informed as she did everything she could to keep the ship stable.
Back on lower deck, Lloyd is still tied up as he manage to get free from the punching back and ran up to the wall, which he hit his head on to get the tape loose as he neared then consol and pressed the button with his head.
"Mayday! Mayday! Pythor's onboard!" Lloyd called out.
The Ninja gasped as they turned and look up as they saw Pythor holding the four Fangblades with a smirk.
Oh dear, terribly sorry if I don't lend a hand, but I really in a rush," Pythor explained with a sneer. "Got this whole 'Devourer' thing going on! Hm-hmm, toodeloo!" He then turned to leave but was blocked by Lloyd holding a staff.
"Where did you think your going?" Lloyd asked in a serious tone.
"Ah, a little cliché, don't you think?" Pythor asked with a raised brow.
"Uh, cliché?" Lloyd asked in confusion.
"Oh, I wouldn't expect a child to understand." Pythor said as he shook his head.
Lloyd looked insulted, "H-Hey, I've grown up a lot!" He said in defense as he flipped up his hood and proceeded to attack Pythor, but the Anacondrai dodged his strikes effortlessly.
"Mm, puny strength, no fundamentals, sloppy foot work." Pythor noted since Lloyd still haven't retrieve any training. "You think you can defeat me?" He asked in amusement.
"I'm not trying to defeat you," Lloyd told him with a grin. "We're just trying keeping you busy until the cavalry arrives." He then pointed towards Umbra, who landed on deck as she growled at Pythor.
Pythor look at the dragon frightenedly, knowing he was in deep trouble since he had no chance against a dragon, as he whimpered in fear as Umbra stomped towards him.
Lloyd then took the advantage as he got his chance. "Hiyah!" He kicked Pythor to the face, which caused the Anacondrai be through back by Lloyd's surprising strength as he hit a wall. "Ha, ha, I hit him. I hit him, guys!" He cheered in joy, actually getting a hit on Pythor.
Umbra advanced towards Pythor as he slithered around to dodge her. "Oh, as much as I would love to play with your overgrown pet, I have a flight to catch." He said as he slithered over the edge.
"No!" Lloyd called out as he rushed towards the edge as Umbra flew down after him.
Pythor was in free fall as Umbra drew closer but then fire from a Rattle-Copter through her off course, forcing her to retreat and the copter came by with Burmesia on the line carrier as Pythor manage to land perfectly next to his niece.
"So long, suckers!" Pythor called out as he laughed as the copter flew away.
Lloyd and Umbra watched him go as Lloyd groans in despair for not stopping him Umbra snarled at the escape snakes.
Meanwhile, the rest of them were holding on for dear life.
"Don't let go!" Lydie shouted to the ones holding on to him.
"You think I don't know that?!" Kai grunted as the hold on to Jay.
But Kai's leg slipped from the plank as they all fell to the volcano as they all screamed. But then at the last minute, Nya in her Samurai X gear came flying by as she caught all six of them. "Gotcha!" Nya called out.
They sigh in relief for Nya saving them. "I don't think I've ever been more glad to see you." Jay commented.
"Feel the same." Nya replied as she flew back to the Bounty. "Come on, he's getting away." She pointed out as they went to the edge to find where Pythor went off to.
"Look, there!" Jay pointed to where the Rattlecopter was.
Lydie then turned to her team, "Alright, everyone gear up and get ready for a snake hunt." She declared.
"The City of Ouroboros is miles away, this Rattlecopter will never get us there in time!" Pythor shouted at his niece as the Rattlecopter engines began to smoke up from benign over used. "They'll catch up to us!"
"Don't worry, uncle! We've already made preparationsss!" Burmesia told him, feeling unsure about this, but had to follow her uncle until she thinks of a way.
"What preparations?" Pythor asked before he noticed the rest of the Serpentine had stopped the tour train from before and were kicking the passengers off it.
Burmesia turned to Pythor with small smirk, "I take it you're pleased?" She asked.
"Very. Very pleased, my young niece," Pythor answered with a smirk of his own as the Rattlecopter landed, the people coughing from the dust it kicked up.
The Serpentine continued escorting the tourists from the train as the boy from before saw this.
"Mommy, snakes are kicking people off the train," he said as his mother smiled again.
"Don't be silly, sweetheart. Snakes don't-" She was cut off when Serpentine escorted her and her family off with the rest of the tourists.
Then one Hypnobrai Serpentine noticed a cake and took it, "Yummy!" he remarked in hunger.
The boy and family were the last ones off as he turned to the Serpentine at the door. "See, mommy? Snakes," He pointed before the door slammed shut.
At the front of the train, Pythor and Burmesia stood with the driver. "Next stop: Ouroboros!" Pythor ordered as the train started up again and the Serpentine cheered as they were now riding to their goal in style and leaving the human passengers stranded in the desert.
Back on the Bounty, Lloyd was bringing the case that held the Golden Weapons as the others prepared to chase down the Serpentine. "If Pythor returns with the four Fangblades to the City of Ouroboros, he'll awaken the Great Devourer," Wu said to his pupils as he sat on the seat on Nya's mech.
"Well, we are not gonna let that happen." Nya declared.
"Oh, what about me?" Lloyd asked as he place the case with the Golden Weapons are in down.
"Sorry, Lloyd. But we need someone to stay with the Bounty." Lydie said as she climbed on Umbra.
"But did you see me kick him the face? I'm an asset," Lloyd bragged. "I kicked butt, and face." He did some kicks.
"Patience, kid." Kai said with a smile. "You don't have enough training, and you're too important now that you are one of the chosen ones." He said.
"Patience, hm?" Wu said amusingly as he stroke his beard. "Ah, the student has become the teacher." He aid.
The Ninja then opened the case as the boys grabbed their Golden Weapons. "What do you say we play a little catch-up?" Jay ask as he held up his Nunchucks.
"It's my favorite game." Cole declared.
"NINJA, GO!" The four boys Ninja did Spinjitzu before jumping off the bounty. Then one by one, they summoned their Spinjitzu vehicles as the chase after the Serpentine began while Lydie ride on Umbra as she and Nya followed them.
As they rode, Jay spotted the train carrying the Serpentine. "Got 'em in my sights!" He told to the others.
"Then every second counts, guys! Let's go!" Lydie called out from her dragon.
Meanwhile on the train the driver turned to Pythor "Um, is this some kind of special tour?" he asked nervously.
"Oh, shut up and drive!" Pythor ordered as Skales looked out the window and saw the Ninja approachingl.
"Uncle, the Ninja are on our tail!" Burmesia called out to Pythor. "They'll catch up with usss in no time!" Pythor then grabbed a microphone and turned on the PDA.
"Ninja!" Pythor growled before he spoke into the PDA. "Good afternoon, my cold-blooded minions. If you look out to your left and behind you, you'll find… Ninja!" All the Serpentine on board did what he said and hissed at the site of the ninja approaching. "So annoying. So, man your stations, chaps! We got guests! Let's make sure we give them the ride of a lifetime!" All the Fangpyre on board swiftly bit into the truck, their venom transforming it.
The train turned from an ordinary looking tour vehicle to a green, Serpentine battle train, complete with a snake-like head and a long tail wagging side to side. The transformed truck then slithered across the road towards Ouroboros.
"What is that, a truck?" Kai asked in surprise.
"That is no truck." Wu spoke to him. "It is a moving fortress." He answered.
"'Serpentine Express' is more like it!" Cole said as he drove closer to the Serpentine Express but was halted when its tail started slapping at him, "Whoa! Aagh!" He yelped as he dodged the strikes. The tail continued to whack to try and hit Cole with each strike.
"Watch out!" Kai called out from his bike when he saw his friend almost get hit. "How are we supposed to get close that thing?"
Soon, an opening formed on both sides of the rear car, revealing side-mounted turrets, each manned by a Serpentine who started to fire at the Ninja. The ones in the air had to take evasive actions with each shot they took. Then coming out from the top of the Serpentine Express were a pair of Bite-Cycles that jumped off and chased after the Ninja riding along the ground.
The two bikes got between Kai as he brought out a sword. "Bring it on, Unh!" He thrusted his sword to one of of the bikes, which caused it to break hard and flip. Then the other Cycle's driver jumped on his bike before he stopped and he flipped off.
Nya continue to dodge the blast being shot at her and Wu as her mech flew in the air. But when she got low, the tale of it whacked her and she nearly hit a couple of rocks as she flew by.
More Bite-Cycles came out and drove right at the ninja on the ground. "We've got company!" Nya called out before she heard a slurping noise and turned to Wu drinking tea. "Sensei!"
Wu stopped drinking and saw the Bite-Cycles coming at them. "Oh, um, let's see here," Wu meddled on the controls on his chair, only to throw a large shuriken at the Cycles, causing them to explode and the mech caught it again. "Oh, this is fun," Wu smiled.
Back on the Bounty, Lloyd tried to steer the ship, but is having a hard time to control it as the Bounty moves side to side as he turned the wheel while trying to catch up to the others.
Back with the pursuit team, the Serpentine jumped on to Cole's car but Cole opened the hatch briefly as the Serpentine flew off as he continued on.
"If we have any chance at getting on that truck, we need to work together!" Cole called out to the others.
Umbra tossed a Serpentine riding on her tail off, "He's right! And I got an idea." Lydie spoke with a determined look. "Nya, Jay, follow me! Zane, try to get in close and cool them off!" She called out as the three draw their fire.
"Okay, I'm going in," Zane said as he dodged the tail. "NINJA, GO!" He used his Spinjitzu to jump on the Serpentine Express and then leaped to the tail car's connector to the rest of the Serpentine Express and froze it.
"Goodbye," Zane stated before stomping on the connector causing it to be break and tail and guns were disconnected from the rest of the Serpentine Express.
"Alright! Nice one, Zane!" Jay said, "Now let's stop that truck!"
Burmesia had seen the Serpentine Express had lost its tail and the Ninja were on board, "We're running out of time," She told Pythor. "If the Ninja ssstop usss from getting to the City of Ouroborosss, we may never awaken the Great Devourer."
"Don't lecture me, young lady!" Pythor told Burmesia before he looked at the driver. "Fassster!"
"I can't. If we drive any faster, the engine could explode," The driver explained.
"Wait, explode?!" Burmesia panicked.
Pythor sighed. "Fine, then I'll do it," he reluctantly complied before turning towards the driver menacingly. "GET OUT!"
"Now?" the driver asked nervously.
"Now," Pythor answered with his eyes narrowed.
Not one to take his chances with a giant snake, the driver jumped out the side door, tumbling onto the ground as the Ninja did not even notice him.
"I hate snakes," The driver grumbled with his arms crossed.
Back on the Serpentine Express, Pythor was now driving and turned to Burmesia. "Don't let them reach the front!" He ordered.
"Okay, okay! No need to yell at me!" Burmesia replied as Pythor increased speed, not even acknowledging the smoke coming from the engine.
Meanwhile. the Ninja were catching up to the train before Jay's vehicles vanished in a flash of light and Lydie hopped off Umbra before they jumped on board the train with Zane. Soon the others jumped on board when their vehicles vanished in a flash of light.
"Let's split up." Lydie suggested.
"Last one to the front is a rotten Ninja!" Kai said as they all went in different ways onto the train.
Lydie turned to her dragon, "Umbra, unless things get messy in there, be our eyes in the sky." She ordered as followed her friends.
In the cars, the Serpentine were playing go fish.
"Got any 4's?" A Venomari asked, but before any serpent could answer, a blue Spinjitzu tornado from above came down and knocked them all out the windows. The tornado revealed Jay holding his Nun-Chucks in a combat stance before seeing no one around.
"Hey, where'd everyone go?" Jay asked, scratching his head, not realizing he already knocked them out of the truck.
Kai made his way on the rooftops of the cars as the wind was blowing heavily on them while the train moved.
"Is it just me, or this train going even faster?" Kai asked himself after feeling the wind. Then popping out from one of the emergency exits were three Serpentine. The window cover blew and he dodged it, the three Serpentine tried to approached them but one was blown off from the wind blowing on him from the high speed. But then while he was distracted Kai was punched in the face and knocked off the train before he held onto the edge.
Back inside the train, Zane was cornered by three Serpentine.
Zane then pulled out his Shurikens, "Time to cool down!" He called out, throwing his weapon at the Serpentine, freezing them solid.
Zane then notice Kai hanging off the edge through the window. "What?! You try fighting up here!" Kai retorted.
Kai manage to climbed back up, but then he saw three Serpentine advancing towards him before Nya then landed on the roof with her mech just in time. "Mind if I interrupt?" She asked after she sweep the Serpentine off.
A Constrictai then jumped on the mech and tried to attack Wu, "Hmm, hold this, please," Wu asked, passing his cup to the Constrictai.
"Oh yeah," The Constrictai said, as Wu pour some tea into the cup. "Thanksss," He said, and just before he could take a sip, Wu punched him off and took the cup.
"Thank you," Wu remarked with a chuckle as he drank from it.
"Watch out!" Kai called out as he saw an incoming sigh.
"Duck! Duck! DUCK!" Wu shouted as Kai and some of the Serpentine ducked down but Nya didn't.
"I'm trying. I can't!" Nya called out since her mech is too big and can't duck, which resulted in her and Wu hitting the sign and knocked them off the Serpentine Express.
The others stood up and the Serpentine laughed at their misfortune. "NINJA, GO!" Kai did Spinjitzu knocking away the rest.
Back with Nya and Wu, Nya managed to get the sign off as she threw it off. "I told you to duck." Wu deadened to Nya.
"I don't wanna hear it." Nya grumbled as she flew her mech at high speed to catch up with the others.
In another part of the truck, Lydie is walking by as she punched, kick or blasted some Serpentine off the train through the broken windows she made as she stopped and saw Burmesia in front of her.
"Burmesia." Lydie growled as she take a stance.
But Burmesia, however, didn't make any stances as she raised her hand. "Wait! I'm not here to fight." She said as she dropped her spear.
Lydie was surprised by this but kept her focus. "You're not going to trick me?" She said.
"It'sss not a trick." Burmesia insisted as she raised her arms. "I've give up." She said as she looked down.
"W-What?" Lydie asked after hearing it.
"Thisss whole thing, the ssseeking revenge and worthlesss fighting over what happened in the passst needsss to ssstop." Burmesia said as she looked down. "My father never wanted thisss to happen. All he wanted wasss to let the Ssserpentine and sssurface dwellersss to coexissst. Lloyd wasss right, thisss ssshouldn't be the path we ssshould take." She said.
Lydie looked at Burmesia in shock and was confuse on what to do. "Why should I believe you?" She asked.
"If I wasss lying and wasss gonna fight you, I would've turned invisssable to give you a sssurprise attack by now." Burmesia pointed out in guilt before she moved aside. "Pleassse, ssstop my uncle before he makesss a terrible missstake."
Lydie then ease her stance, finding that true as she looked at her. "Then, why not stop all of this now?" She aske dher.
"I had to follow uncle'sss ordersss." Burmesia said solemnly. "And like or not, he'sss the only family I have left." She added sadly as she then move aside. "I know I can't ssstop you, ssso go. Ssstop my uncle and hisss plansss." She said.
Lydie looked at Burmesia in surprise as she slowly walked to the door before giving her one last look. "What about you?" She asked.
"I'll find my own way out." Burmesia assured as she turn invisible. "Good luck and…Tell Lloyd I'm sssorry." She said as Lydie looked around for her.
"I will." Lydie nodded before she continue down the truck.
Cole entered another car on the train to find it empty. He however did not let down their guard before they turned to see Fangtom, Selma, Acidicus and Skalidor behind him and Skales in front of him. "End of the line, lossser," Skales and the other generals told them as they have Cole outnumbered.
"Watch out!" Cole warned as he swung his Scythe around before raising it up.
Skales then got afraid as he knew what Cole was about to do as the Earth Ninja struck his Scythe down to bring out his car. "No. No, no! Pleassse!" Skales begged as he slithered backward.
But it was for not as Cole fired a missile at Skales, blasting the Hypnobrai General out of the train. "Skalesss!" Selma cried as Fangtom leapt into Skalidor's arms, scared out of their wits by what happened, "I'm I jussst remembered I have something elssse, to take care of!" She said before she and the three Generals Serpentine all jumped out of the train too.
Cole diminished his vehicle as he looked at his Scythe. "I love this thing!" He exclaimed before he jumped at the sound of the roof of the car was ripped open by Aqua's mech.
"Cole. Good to see you," Wu said as he jumped down before the others join them.
"Good to see you too," Cole replied.
Meanwhile at the front, the engine of the Serpentine Express had started flaming and started moving side to side sporadically, Pythor struggled to keep the truck stable while The Ninja and their allies were rocked from the shaking. The shaking caused Kai to fall into the car and into Frost's arms.
"Nice catch." Jay commented.
"Last one to the front's a rotten Ninja," Cole said as Kai got down.
"And that's you, Kai." Lydie said with a chuckle.
"Ah, so be it, but one more car to go," Kai aid as he pointed to the door to the last. "Pythor's in there with the four Fangblades! Who's first?!" Just when he asked that, Wu ran past him and detached the engine from the rest of truck.
"Sensei!" Jay called out.
"Uncle!" Lydie called next.
"What are you doing?!" Cole asked him.
"My destiny is to face Pythor alone." Wu answered. "Your destiny is to look after Lloyd and Lydie for they're destiny." He added as the front drove further and further away.
"This is starting to turn into a habit with him?" Kai as he saw the train was slowing to a stop. "How do get off this thing?!"
Pythor looked behind him and saw that the rest of the Serpentine Express had become detached from the engine, and best of all the Ninja were stuck on it. He laughed in victory, thinking nothing could stop him from awakening the Great Devourer now, not even caring that he left his fellow Serpentine behind.
Back on the Destiny's Bounty, Lloyd had finally managed to get the ship stable and flies smoothly before he saw the City of Ouroboros up ahead.
Lloyd gasped. "The Lost City of Ouroboros." He gasped as he increased thruster power on the bounty to go faster.
Back on the Serpentine Express's Engine , Wu walked in and Pythor turned to them. "This ends now!" Wu declared pointing his staff to the Anacondrai.
Pythor slithered up to the old stallion, unthreatened. "Ssso be it!" he said, knocking Wu back, "I've come too far to fail now! The Devourer will be releasssed and I will have my revenge!"
Back at the Serpentine Expression, the others are feeling bored while waiting around as Cole gave a yawn.
"This is really boring." Nya commented as she laid her mech back.
"Umbra picked a bad time to fly into a mountain to rest." Lydie said boredly, spinning her staff around.
And then at that moment, the Destiny's Bounty came into view, dropping anchor onto the detached Serpentine Express and dragging it along the dirt.
"Lloyd!" The Ninja shouted.
"Hook, line and sinker!" Lloyd quipped.
Lydie then spoke to brother on the bridge. "Fly us to Ouroboros as fast as you can, brother!" She ordered.
"Aye-aye, Captain!" Lloyd saluted as the Bounty then started carrying the Serpentine Express towards the city.
Meanwhile Wu and Pythor were still fighting. Pythor was able to repel all Wu's attacks. "NINJA, GO!" Wu shouted as he did Spinjitzu, making Pythor back up a bit before he whacked him with his staff a few times before the last one made him stop.
Pythor then grabbed Wu with his arms. "You are getting slow, old man," he mocked the master.
Ahead the Mailman was peddling his bike before heard the engine coming, yelped and peddled even faster.
Pythor then opened his mouth wide as if to consume Wu before he stepped on Pythor's tail. Pythor screamed in pain as he let them go, allowing them to whack him on the head.
The mailman saw the truck coming close, having no choice, he jumped off his bike as it crushed underneath the truck, causing it's engine finally exploded and knocked the two of them over.
The truck fell on its side just at the entrance to Ouroboros. Pythor crawled out of the locomotive with the Fangblades in his arms, his was still a little dizzy from the crash, but then he saw the statue of the Great Devourer and laughed in triumph.
He then slithered towards the center of the city as Wu finally managed force his way out and chase after him on foot.
In the arena of the city, Pythor climbed up to the mouth of the statue, "Finally, the Great Devourer will be awakened," he said in excitement as he placed each Fangblade in the slots of the statue's four main fangs. Once all the Fangblades were placed, they glowed. "Perfect," Pythor smirked, climbing down to stand in the center of the arena.
He turned to the statue and watched in awe as a green venom-like liquid poured from the fangs and down into the canal in the Arena, the snake spiral starting to emit a glowing green mist.
Pythor then laughed like a madman as the awakening ceremony began. "Yes! YES! It's working! Awaken, great one! Awaken the insatiable appetite of the beast that will consume all of Ninjago!" He declared.
Wu then appeared behind him, "What have you done?!" He demanded the Anacondrai.
Pythor however smiled at him, knowing he was already too late, "Don't you see?! Releasing the Great Devourer is the only way to get back at the people of Ninjago, for locking my kind in the cold, dark depths of the underground, banishing my brother from this world and orphaning my dear niece for all those hard long years!" He declared giving Wu a hateful glare, "It is we should have been the ones ruling the surface! Not you!" He yelled out.
"You are playing with a power that cannot be control." Wu pointed out. "It why Arcturus sealed the Great Devourer to begin with! For it will consume everything, humanity and the Serpentine!" He said, trying to convince Pythor that this was wrong.
Just then the statue began to crumble and getting their attention.
"Awaken, Great Devourer, and be free to do my bidding, for I have awakened you!" Pythor shouted, completely ignoring Wu's warning.
Meanwhile with the Ninja they had just arrived at the City of Ouroboros and then noticed a green glow coming from the arena.
"Okay, Lloyd, put us down by the engine." Lydie instructed.
The Serpentine Express was lowered onto the ground, and they all took off running towards the arena. Lloyd, then slid down the chains, Wait up, guys!" Lloyd said as he all leapt off the Serpentine Express and chased after the others. Unknown to them, Burmesia was also on board the truck as she turned visable and chased after them, wanting to stop her uncle before it was too late.
She eventually caught up with Lloyd as he turned to her in surprise. Burmesia looked at him and nodded as Lloyd smiled under his hood and nodded back as they tried to keep up with the others.
Back in the arena, Pythor was still waiting with anticipation for the Great Devourer to emerge before the statue began to crumble to pieces. Pythor had a wide grin on his face as he thought that The Great Devourer was emerging from the statue only to see it crumble into pieces and nothing there. Pythor looked down at the broken pieces in shock.
"No, no! It isn't inside the statue?!" he frantically discovered, picking up one of the pieces. "Then, where is it?!" Suddenly, he noticed the ground beneath him began to crumble into a pit underneath the city.
He looked down and let out frightened scream as he saw a pair of glowing purple eyes below, and he knew all too well what they belonged to, "It-it's so big!" Pythor said, starting to think his enemies were right and chose to get a safe distance for the destruction.
Wu however would not have it. "You shall stay to see what you have unleashed on our world." He said to the surprise Pythor before he grabbed on him as Pythor tried to shake him off.
"AHH! Let me go, you fool!" Pythor screamed as more of the ground beneath them crumbled, "Don't you see? ITS UNDERNEATH US!" Pythor managed to toss Wu off and he grabbed on to ledge before he pulled himself out. He hen turned to see Pythor trying to make a run for it, but Wu grab his neck, spun around on it before he landed, forcing him turn back to the hole.
"This is our destiny." Wu said with a firm grip on Pythor as the Anacondrai shrieked.
Ninja, Nya and Burmesia eventually arrived and saw the hole and glowing pink eyes rising up, "What's going on?! And what's that creature underground?!" Kai asked in worry.
Burmesia looked at the hole in shock and horror, "It'sss done, it hasss been awaken." She breathed
"You must do everything in your power to stop the Great Devourer!" Wu told his pupils as he kept a tight hold on Pythor. "Go Ninja, GO!"
"No, Uncle Wu!" Lydie cried out as Wu gave her a nod before she looked back down to the crumbling ground.
"Uncle Pythor?" Burmesia asked in worry.
Pythor turned to niece before back to the eyes rising up, before sighing in acceptance to his fate before looking back at her, "Burmesssia, you're in charge now." He said to her giving one last smile. "Make me and your father proud, my child."
Burmeisa went wide eyes as tears started to form before the ground shook stronger.
The rumbling grew louder and louder until after an amount of silence... a monstrous green serpent with a frill around its head erupted from the earth! Everyone stood back in abject horror as the gargantuan serpent rose higher and higher as the lightning flashed behind it, making the beast even more terrifying. The Great Devourer then opened its mouth and released an unworldly roar that shook the heavens themselves. Suddenly, it turned its sights upon Pythor and Wu and then lunged its gapping jaws down at them!
