Sailing through the waves of the Endless Sea, the Destiny's Bounty rode through the storm as the crew of Pirates attempted to keep their ship afloat.
Down below in his quarters the ship's Captain, was writing in his Log Book. He wore a black pirate captain hat and jacket, a Pirate hat with a red feather, his left talon-foot was a peg-leg, and his right hand was a hook, and he work an eye patch over his left eye.
We have spent months searching the Endless Sea for this fabled Island of Darkness, but for a dozen moons, all me eye sees is nothing but water.
I fear me crew has given up, believing the legend to be false, but I hold out hope that it exists.
-Captain Soto
With that final line, Captain Soto closed the book and headed out on deck as his crew was dancing, drinking rum, and singing shanties. "Hardy, hardy, hardy, ho. Hey, we all in a yo-yo-yo," they sang as the captain glared at them.
"This be no time for fooling around!" the captain told them. "Who be steering thus ship?!"
One of the drunken crew members answered. "No worries, cap'n. No-Eyed Pete be behind the wheel," he assured.
The captain gaped in shock before smacking his face. "No! Not No-Eyed Pete!" He looked to the helm and saw a pirate with two eye-patches over his eyes and a white parrot on his shoulder.
"Left!" the parrot said as Pete turned the wheel to the left. "No, your other left!" the bird quickly warned as Pete grumbled. Then, through the fog, the crew could make out some rock formations.
"The Island of Darkness?" one of the Pirates asked as Soto recognized the rocks and rushed to the bridge.
"No, you fool! He steered us back into Ninjago's waters!" Soto warned as he grabbed the wheel from No-Eyes. "All hands on deck!" he ordered as all the Pirates headed for their stations, but Soto could not turn the ship around fast enough, as it headed right for the rocks!
"Brace for impact!" were Captain Soto's last words before the Destiny's Bounty crashed into the rocks and sunk behind the waves and killing all aboard it.
(Present)
The Ninja are training Lloyd as Kai was training him with some oven mitts as makeshift boxing pads while the boy kicked and punched them as hard as they could. "Good, keep it up!" Kai encouraged as Lloyd keep up the attacks.
"Fist of Fury!" Lloyd declared as he kept up the punchess. "You can't even see him em' move, I'm so fast! Ha!" He punched again.
"Save the gloating," Kai said as they took a short breather. "It can only be used against you by your enemy; it gives away your position and distracts you."
"Oh please!" Lloyd waved off with a confident smirk. "I'm ready to face whatever you throw at me!" He gave a flying kick to the mitts knocking Kai against the wall.
"Whoa there, grasshopper. You're not even ready to face my pinkie toe," Kai quoted the same words Wu said to him when they first meet.
"I see the student has become the teacher," Wu said after taking a sip of tea while observing Kai's lesson. "You will learn fast, Lloyd, with lessons from the five Ninja."
"Great, now that that lesson is over, how about some target practice..." Cole suggested before adding with a smirk, "…on Kai?" Kai flinched at that.
"You'll each get your turn," Wu said, "But first I don't want you to be late for you next lesson with Nya."
Lloyd whined, "Aww, but when will I learn Spinjitzu?" He asked.
"Patience. It will only be unlocked when the key is ready to be found," Wu sighed as Lloyd groaned and then left the room.
"Ha! Sounds familiar?" Cole asked with a smirk.
Kai then stood up with a defensive expression, "I wasn't that whiny." He retorted.
"No, you were worse." Zane commented before looking, "By the way, where is Jay?"
"Oh, I think he's still going through his 'punishment'." Cole stated pointing to sofa where Lydie was relaxing and Jay fanned her.
"Now this is the life." Lydie commented as Jay groaned.
"For you, maybe." Jay muttered quietly to himself.
"What was that servant boy?" Lydie asked with a raised brow.
"Nothing!" Jay quickly said as he fan harder with a nervous chuckle.
"Thought so." Lydie said as she then put her feet on a stool. "Hey, Jay. Would you message my feet after this, I'm still sore after all the running across town yesterday."
"Seriously?" Jay asked in shock before he saw Lydie raising her hands as she brought out her darkness element as Jay flinched before he quickly started messaging Lydie's feet. "Yeah, massaging your feet now!" He quickly said fearfully as Lydie sigh relaxing.
Lydie gave a slight chuckle, "Now you guys know how I feel when I didn't have any powers from the start." She said as she lean back. "No powers to help you out of dire situations, like you Mister Bare Speeder."
"I said I was sorry." Jay said in defensive. "I was in a rush to deliver pizza across town in under five minutes!" He pointed out. "How was I suppose to know it was gonna end with you n-"
Lydie gave him a menacing glare, "Don't! Don't you dare finish, that, sentence!" She growled as her glare piecer through Jay's soul as he chuckled a bit.
"Heheh, sorry." Jay said nervously before changing the topic. "Anyway, guys, I know we're trying prepare Lloyd for the future, but it's hard to give him the best training without the stuff we had to train with." He pointed out.
"Jay's right." Cole said in agreement. "I miss the Destiny's Bounty. Too bad it's gone." He said sadly.
Wu looked around and indeed saw the apartment didn't have what they needed to train Lloyd. "I see your point," He reluctantly conceded. "Perhaps we could find somewhere else to aid in his journey."
Lloyd made his way on the roof where Nya, Umbra and Ultra are. "Now that they had their medicine, they should be able to fly properly soon," Nya told Lloyd. "But it's important to take care of Ultra, because one day, he'll be yours." She said to them.
"Uh, mine? Really?" Lloyd asked Nya in surprise.
"Sure." Nya confirmed. "The elemental dragons were loyal to your sister and the four boys. But Ultra Dragon, he's meant for the Green Ninja of Yang to ride." She explained.
"Whoa! I never knew that." Lloyd said in awed.
"See? Even a samurai like myself can teach you a thing or two." Nya said with a smile.
"But, uh, I don't know how to fly." Lloyd admitted.
"It's all in the legs." Nya said while pointed at Lloyd's legs. "Heh-heh. Ultra and Umbra will be the fastest and strongest pair of dragons in all of Ninjago." She added as Nya chuckled when Ultra and Umbra stood up as they roared in pride.
"Looks like they're already feeling better." Lloyd noted with a chuckle.
"You and the lady go try and get some air, big boy." Nya said Ultra as he and Umbra flew off. Spinning the air with each other like they were dancing.
Later, Lloyd returned to the others near a bus stop. "It's time we search Ninjago City for a more suitable place to train Lloyd," Wu told his pupils.
"Oh, but sensei, Ninjago City is huge," Jay complained. "It'll take us all day to find it on foot."
"And without our golden weapons, we have no Spinjitzu Vehicles," Zane added. "How are we going to get around town?"
Wu the showed them some strange circular items. "You'll learn to travel using these," he said.
"What are they?" Cole asked.
"They transport you anywhere in the city," Wu explained as the Ninja grew excited.
"Like a magic portal?" Kai asked.
"Ooh, or a Spinjitzu vortex?!" Jay guessed.
Lydie took one of the objects and then noticed something. "Hey, wait a minute… These are just bus tokens!" She exclaimed with disappointment as Wu chuckled and the others grimaced, realizing their master just conned them. "Very funny, uncle."
Meanwhile on the Black Bounty, Garmadon and the Serpentine Generals, which he manage to pick up, are on the bridge as they look at the Mega Weapon on the table.
"Ssso, what doesss it do?" Acidicuss asked Garmadon curiously.
"The Weapon possesses unspeakable powers." Garmadon simply said.
"Like what?" Fangtom asked.
Garmadon frown in annoyance, "I told you fool, they're unspeakable!" He retorted.
"Ssso what you mean isss, you don't know what thisss weapon can do." Slitraa said, having taken temporary command of the Hypnobrai while Skales was incarcerated.
"It kinda doess looksss like you don't know how to use it." Skalidor accused.
"Of course I know what it can do, and of course I know how to use it how to use it!" Garmadon stubbornly said. "I just don't have anything to use it on!" He pointed out.
"Lord Garmadon! We spotted something!" An Anacondrai yelled, gesturing outside.
They walked out and saw flying ahead of them was Umbra and Ultra, who are flying by as they didn't notice that the Black Bounty was underneath them.
"Ah. The Ninja's pet dragons," Garmadon remarked as he walked out to the helm of the ship with the Mega Weapon. "What better way to test out the Mega Weapon's power. Keep up with them you slithering idiots! Don't let them get away!" He ordered.
The Serpentine then started steering the ship after the Bounty as it followed the dragons as fast as the ship could follow.
"Eliminate dragons!" Garmadon shouted as he pointed the Weapon at Ultra and Umbra, but nothing happened. Both the Bounty and the Dragons did a sharp turn in the sky. "Keep it straight!" he warned his crew before he called for the Weapon again. "Destroy!" He tried again with the same results.
The Bounty then rammed the two dragons from the side but they were able to brush it off and keep flying forward, "Fire! Annihilate!" Garmadon commanded again but still nothing. Ultra and Umbra just kept on flying as the Bounty was falling further and further behind it.
Soon, they were flying over the sea and dodging some large rocks. "Bad dragons! Shoot it down pretty, pretty, pretty please?!" He begged the weapon and even banged it against his head and pounding at it desperately. "Come on! Why won't you listen to me?!" He cried out desperately.
The Bounty then started descending into the ocean as Ultra and Umbra were soon out of range. "I can't concentrate with us jostling around." He stubbornly said as the Bounty landed in the water.
"Obviously, if I had a proper crew that could fly this ship, I would've had a clear shot!" Garmadon griped as the Serpentine chuckled behind him before the Dark Lord turned to them. "This is all your fault!" He blamed as then stormed off below deck.
In the captain's quarters, Garmadon then ranted in rage.
"Agh! They dare mock me?!" he asked himself slamming the Mega Weapon around, "How does this accursed Weapon work?!" He then slammed it on the desk and a logbook popped out of a hidden slot.
Garmadon calmed down a bit as he saw the logbook. "What's this?" He asked himself as he starts reading it. "Captain Soto. Captain's Log." He read as he realize something. "That's right, legend has it that the Destiny's Bounty once belonged to the most feared band of pirates Ninjago had ever known, long before the Ninja ever found it." He said as he looked at the book. "Now this crew sounds like they knew how to fly a ship." He said before he remembered that they passed on centuries ago as he looked at the ceiling. "I wish they were here to show these scaly idiots how it's done." He said as he slammed the Mega Weapon down.
Just then, the Mega Weapon gave off a black smokey aura as Garmadon then felt it as he turned to it to notice. "What? What is happening?" He questioned as the black aura looped around the book. Garmadon threw the book as the Mega Weapon began to crackle with a golden aura as he tried to let it go, but couldn't. "The power of the Mega Weapon! It won't let me let go of it!" He grunted as he fell to the floor, feeling his strength leaving him. "I feel weak." He said exhaustively.
"All hands on deck!" Soto's voice can be heard.
"What has it done?" Garmadon questioned weakly on what the Mega Weapon just did.
"I am Captain Soto." Soto said from outside as the Mega Weapon stopped glowing as Garmadon looked in shock.
"Captain Soto?" Garmadon asked in shock as he weakly stood up.
Back in Ninjago City, the Ninja departed from a bus as Lydie looked at the address her aunts had written down for her, "Well, this is the place, 'Grand Sensei Dareth's Mojo Dojo.'." She read looking at the sign of the building and the picture of a martial artist on it.
"This is where Lloyd is going to train?" Cole questioned.
"Hey, it's better than nothing." Jay said with a slight chuckle.
"And not to mention this is one of the few dojos in Ninjago City," Lydie added, "Though I heard the owner isn't all he claims what he definitely is, is friendly." She said as they all enter the dojo.
They walked into the dojo area when suddenly, appearing from the bead curtains of the door opposite to them came a fat man with brown stylish hair, wearing all brown and sloppily tied brown belt. "Welcome to 'Grand Sensei Dareth's Mojo Dojo'," he welcomed, "I am Grand Sensei Dareth, and I 'Dareth' you to join my dojo. Heeya!" He then did some karate moves, only to get tangled in his bead curtain.
The Ninja looked at him weirdly as Dareth untangled himself.
"Face the wall of karate trophies," Dareth told them as walked over to a few shows with trophies on them. "If you look closely, my name is on all of them." He bragged as he picked one of them up. "That is because I am a highly skilled karate machine."
"Look, Dareth, we're wondering if we could share your dojo," Lydie said as she stepped up with Lloyd. "You see, we've been put in charge of training my brother to become the one of the two greatest Ninja in all of Ninjago."
Dareth looked unconvinced. "Not possible because I am the greatest in the land," He said before looking at the Ninja. "How many trophies do you have?"
"Now look, pal, we're the ponies who saved the city from that giant snake!" Jay told him.
Dareth laughed and deadpanned at Jay. "Am I looking at Lord Garmadon? Because unless I'm stupid, and I'm not, Lord Garmadon was the one who destroyed the Devourer," he pointed out.
The Ninja just sighed. "Is everyone seriously still talking about that?!" Kai asked. it was as if all Ninjago had forgotten that the one who saved them was also the greatest villain ever.
Jay laughed sheepishly, "Hehe. That's been a huge misunderstanding. Actually, we were the ones who dest-" He tried to before Dareth interrupted him.
"However! I'll let you train here, but only on one condition. You can defeat me. If you succeed, we will share the dojo," he declared before getting a combat stance, "Unh! That's right. I, Grand Sensei Dareth, master of all animal fighting styles, challenge one of you to a battle." He then went on to do absurd fighting styles.
"I know the Roaring Tiger." He growled and acted like a tiger.
"The Coiling Python!" He stood on his back hooves and swayed while hissing.
"Marching Penguin!" He stiffened up and made penguin squawks.
The others looked at Dareth with rolled eyes before they looked at Lydie, who gestured to them to stand back and they noted the smirk on her face as they backed up a bit. After flipping her hood on, she cracked her knuckles, and did Spinjitzu. Dareth screamed as he spun around on his belly and looked up at Lydie who stood in front of him smugly. "How did you..." He tried to ask but Kaied off.
"You might know 'Zoo-Jitzu' and one with the animals, but we know Spin-Jitzu!" Lydie declared as Dareth stood up.
"You can train in my dojo, anytime!" Dareth said with a bow.
On the Black Bounty, the Serpentine were shouting at a pirate crew that had suddenly appeared on board while Garmadon look at the Mega Weapon in thought.
"When I wish it to destroy the dragons, it wouldn't." Garmadon said to himself. "But when I wished for a better crew…" He Kaied off as he came to a realization as the pirates and Serpentine argued. "The Mega Weapon doesn't have the power to destroy, it only has the power to create!" He called out with a wide smile.
Meanwhile the Serpentine and the pirates were still arguing, "I ssstill don't sssee how you got on our ship!" Selma told one of the pirates.
"Yer ship?!" The pirate asked, "We built 'er with our own hand! So why don't ye slither yer'self off the plank, Pink Scales!" He suggested as the Hypnobrai Lieutenant growled.
"I finally have a crew I can be proud of," Garmadon said with a smirk before turning to the Pirates. "Batten down the hatches, fellas!" he commanded.
"Who ye be calling fellas, Four Arms?" Captain Soto questioned as he raised his sword at Garmadon.
"Me, Lord Garmadon." Garmadon answered as he panted. "I created you, you fool. I am your captain now."
"
'Created me'? I be Captain Soto, stealer of the seas," The captain told Garmadon. "Raise your weapon!"
One of the Serpentine whispered to another. "The Mega weapon musssst've created them, but now Garmadon isss too weak to ussse it again," He said, noting the Dark Lord's fatigue.
Garmadon soon realized the cost at using the Mega Weapons' powers: It required all his strength for even one creation, making him too weak to even reuse it and was too quick to even fight since he could barely stand.
"Take it from him," Soto ordered as one of the pirates walked towards Garmadon to grab the Mega Weapon.
"Unh! No, don't!" Garmadon tried to warn him as the body of that pirate began to disintegrate while the Weapon glowed. "It's too powerful! Only I can-" But it was too late as all that was left of that pirate was his hat while his crew was shocked about what they just witnessed. "Only I have the power to wield the Mega Weapon. It may have drained my power for now, but when my strength returns, I'll deal with you."
"Well that's too bad for ye then, cause we be takin' back our ship!" Soto declared as he turned to No-Eyed Pete, "Lock this Bozo and all his reptilian friends into the Brig!" He ordered.
No-Eye Pete's parrot then started speaking. "Awk! Left!" It called out as No-Eye then grab Soto, making the captain grimace before the parrot spoke again. "No, your other left! Awk!" It squawked again as Garmadon looked on with a brow.
Pete then grabbed a Serpentine and with incredible strength, flung him into the brig below deck.
Soon Garmadon was the last one as he fell to the brig with his Mega Weapon clankering to the floor, suddenly feeling like his good good day just took a nose dive.
Later on, the pirates reattached their symbol onto the sails while Soto and a crew member went to the bridge.
Soto then noticed the buttons and electronic devices around them. "It seems someone's done something to me ship," he summarized as none of this technology looked familiar to him.
The crew member with him scratched his head, "Aye, she ain't like how we left her, captain," he said, definitely seeing the Bounty was different from the last time they saw it.
Sotthen walked over to the screen which showed a map of Ninjago. "Hmm, must be some sort of treasure map," He guessed and then noticed a button. He pressed it, and then the pirates were surprised when the ship started shaking and then to their surprise started rising.
Pete's Parrot then saw what was happening. "Flying!" he squawked. "Flying!" Soon, the Bounty was in the air as Soto came up on deck.
"Ah, your rat speaks the truth," Soto told No-Eyes. "A flying ship! Oh, this be too good! Just wait till Ninjago get a load of us!" The Black Bounty then took off towards the City.
Meanwhile, in Ninjago City, Harumi, wearing a new green hoodie and white pants, was walking down the streets with Susan. "This is the place." Susan said as they stopped at Dareth's dojo.
"I wonder how's Lloyd training is." Harumi asked in wonder.
"Well, he's probably training hard to be the best." Susan said with a smile. "come on, let's go in and see them. And you can tell them the news." She added.
Harumi smiled as she and Susan walked into the dojo as they entered and saw Lloyd being trained by his friends as Lydie notice them.
"Aunt Susan, Harumi. Hey, glad you could join us," Lydie said with a smile. "I was wondering when you show."
"It was easy to find this place since there's only one dojo that has 'Dareth' in the name." Susan commented with a chuckle.
"Hi, Lloyd." Harumi waved to Lloyd on the wooden poles.
"Hey, Harumi." Lloyd greeted back as he tried to keep his balance.
Then Jay kicked and he quickly dodged. "Focus, you must be light on your feet." He said to Lloyd as he tried to punch back but he quickly regain his balance.
Lloyd then moved onto Cole, who was stacking up ten boards of woods. "When you strike with your hooves, concentrate," Cole told him."You may be small, but you're strong," He added, as Lloyd focused.
With his hand starting to glow orange and brown, he struck the planks so hard it caused a mini earthquake that knocked everyone back and split the boards clean in half, even creating a crack in the floor.
"Wow!" Harumi said in awe as she went up to Lloyd. "Since when could you do that?!" She asked with a smile.
"That was the power of the Scythe of Quakes!" Kai said in awed as Lloyd looked at his hands. "And you did it without the Golden Weapon!" He added.
Lydie then got an idea, "Lloyd, aim for that dummy, and think cold thoughts." She instructed, pointing to a training Dummy.
Lloyd raised a brow but did as his sister told him as he then raised his arms and closed his eyes as he focus before an icy frost covered his hand and he shot out an icy blast that froze the dummy, and part of the wall too.
"That was my element of ice." Zane said with a smile. "That must be why you have the potential to be the Ninja of Yang. You can harness all of the elemental powers." He told him.
"Just like me but your powers seems to be more like the others when mine are more based on my darkness." Lydie noted. "I was right, you have all but my element in you, little bro." She said as she ruffled his head.
Lloyd looked at his hands in interest, never realizing the power he had before. "Really? Cool." Lloyd said eagerly. "If I can use all the elements, there's no way anyone can beat me."
"Perhaps, but with this power, you must be careful," Wu advised the colt as Lloyd frowned. "You must learn to control it before it controls you."
"I have to admit, not bad for a kid," Dareth said as he walked in with two boys behind, carrying boards. "But instead of ten boards, how about fifty? Stack 'em, boys." He told his students as Wu sighed.
Once the boards were stacked, Dareth turned to the Ninja, "And perhaps if I, Grand Sensei Dareth, can break through them all, you will allow me to join your team and become…" Dareth said before he put his own Ninja hood, "...the Brown Ninja!" He declared.
The Ninja snickered. "The Brown Ninja?! You gotta be joking!" Jay snorted.
"Sorry pal, club's already full." Cole said amusedly.
"Haha, yeah. What element is brown supposed to represent anyway?" Lydie snorted as Susan and Harumi chuckled. "Because with that much brown, I think you should clean up the mess." She joked as they laughed a bit.
Darreth however was unfazed by their jokes, "Okay, okay. Then maybe this demonstration of my superpony strength may persuade you," He told them before he walked over to the boards. "Boys, are we ready?"
"Yes, Grand Sensei Dareth!" Both boys said with a bow.
"Observe," Dareth told them as he stretch a bit as they watched. "I call upon the greatest animal to give me strength, the Dragon. Hee-yah!" He slammed his right hand down on the boards, but they did not break, although his hoof did become visible redder.
There was a bit of silence for a few seconds before Dareth broke it. "YYYYYAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!" He held his hand in pain as the others minus his students burst into laughter at his embarrassing performance.
"Looks like the Dragon didn't have much to give you." Lydie laughed before she turned to her brother, "Why don't you let a real pro show you how's its done bro?" She offered as she took Dareth's place at the boards while the self-proclaimed Brown Ninja was nursing his poor hand.
The Ninja, Harumi and Susan gave Lydie a knowing smirk as she closed her eyes and focus as Dareth and his students watched as Lydie then jump up.
"Hee-yah!" Lydie called out as she slammed down on the fifty boards, which caused them to break like paper as she cracked the floor again a bit as the others were amazed while Dareth and his students were speechless as Lydie stood up and brushed her hands with a smirk. "That's how it done, son." She said as she walked back to her friend, leaving a bewildered Dareth staring at the broken boards, trying to process what he saw.
"Whoo! Way to go, Captain!" Cole cheered as the others did the same.
"Wow, Lloyd, you're sister is amazing." Harumi said in awed.
"Heh, it runs in the family." Lloyd commented with a shrug as he turned to Harumi. "So, how are things at the orphanage?" He asked curiously.
Harumi frowned a bit, "Not that well, people have come by but no one is interested in adopting me yet." She said solemnly.
Lloyd frown in sympathy for Harumi as he place a hand on her shoulder. "Hey, don't let it stop you. Give it time. It's hard to find a family that would take you in but you always find them eventually, trust me." He promised. "And don't forget, you still have me and my friends."
Harumi smiled softly at Lloyd from that as she felt her spirit coming up when Lloyd said that.
Meanwhile outside the city, the people were just going about their day when suddenly a dark shadow fell over them. They looked up and screamed in terror as the Black Bounty flew over them, on deck Soto and one of his pirates looked down at the unfamiliar world below them.
"What be this place, Cap'n?" The pirate asked his captain.
Soto smirked. "A place to plunder. Never have me eye seen such treasures," he answered and then turned to the rest of his crew. "Boys, take whatever ye want!" he told them.
In one of the buildings, some business people were preparing for a meeting when they noticed the Black Bounty flying by with the cannon aimed at them. "Are those… pirates?" the Ceo asked.
"Fire!" Soto commanded as the Bounty shot a cannonball at the window, shattering it.
In the streets, The mailman was delivering some mail when he noticed something, "Hey what's-?" he wondered before a pirate swung in and stole her mailbag. "Hey, you can't do that!"
The pirate just laughed at the Mailman's shouting.
Meanwhile, Soto led another group in front of a bus, stopping it in tracks. The driver honked the horn to tell them to move, but it only aggravated them.
"Aye, a creature! Let's give it a taste of our steel!" Soto told his men as they started attacking the bus. The people on board then handed over their money and valuables. "It surrenders and gives us its loot, Har-har-har!"
"Have at it, boys!" Soto declared.
The pirates laughed as they took all their ill-gotten goods back to their ship. The group exited the dojo and saw the Black Bounty flying not too far from where they were.
"Hey, that's our ship!" Jay pointed out when he saw it.
"But pirates?" Lloyd asked in confusion.
"Pirates haven't been around for centuries." Cole pointed out.
Susan then saw the Pirate Captain, "Hey, those aren't just any pirates, that's Captain Soto and His crew, the original owners of the Destiny's Bounty!" She told her friends before she looked confused, "But I don't understand, I thought he died out at Sea 200 years ago."
"I sense Lord Garmadon is somehow behind this." Zane theorized as the D.
"What tip you off, Zane?" Lydie questioned with a brow. "The Bounty's new paint job and more to our father's liking or the sudden appearance of Pirates?" She rhetorically asked. "I think it's clear he's already mastered the weapons' power of Creation like Burmesia told us."
"How are we gonna follow them?" Lloyd questioned.
"Perhaps this can be of some use," Kai told them as he held up a bus token. A bus then stopped right next to them and they all climbed in, with the pirates riding on the roof, as Kai put in the token. "I can't believe I'm saying this, but follow that ship!" He ordered as the bus took off.
They all put on their hoods as they all looked down at Lloyd. "I don't want my brother coming along. It could be dangerous." Lydie said to them.
"Please, please. I'll be super good." Lloyd said as he jumped eagerly while Harumi chuckled at him.
Zane then kneel down and place a hand on his shoulder. "The powers inside you are still too great, too uncontrollable." He said as Lloyd went up to a seat and sat in disappointment as Harumi sat next to him.
"One of these days you'll be able to join us." Cole reassured. "Sorry, kid." He added.
"I'll watch them, just stop those pirates." Susan told the Ninja.
The Ninja then jump on the roof of the bus as it was coming close to the Bounty and they were prepared to board it by the anchor before it came to a sudden stop. They almost fell off when Kai quickly used his sword to lodge onto the rood while they grabbed ahold of one another. The five looked down at the front of the bus and saw the reason why it had stopped: an old woman was slowly crossing the street and shakily levitating a bag of groceries.
"Come on ma'am, we're trying to save the city here!" Jay shouted, but the old lady continued to walk slow.
"It's getting away!" Cole told the others as the Black Bounty was getting further away from them.
Just when the old lady was halfway, the bottom of her bag ripped open and her groceries fell out, causing the Ninja to let out a sigh of frustration.
Lydie decided to speed things up by helping the woman pick up her groceries, "Here ma'am, let me help you." She said as she helped the woman across the street.
"Oh, thank you dearie." The woman said gratefully while the boys shook their heads at Lydie's untimely consideration. This was going take a while.
Meanwhile on top of one of the building, Dareth with his Ninja hood looked at the Bounty. "This is my chance to prove they need the Brown Ninja!" Dareth declared before cracking his neck. "Let's do this!" he said before jumping on the deck, surprising the pirates. "Hee-ya! Surrender, or face the Brown Ninja!" he told Captain Soto and his crew.
"Pajama man! Get him!" Soto commanded his crew as they approached Dareth as he did his Zoo-Jitzu.
"The Howling Wolf!" He howled.
"The Hissing Spider!" He hissed.
"The Rampaging Hippo!" He snorted.
The pirates laughed while Soto sliced his shirt open with his sword while revealing Dareth's out of shape body.
"Oh! Those swords are really sharp, heh-heh," Dareth said nervously, covering himself.
Soto smirked as his crew tied up Dareth. "Aw, nuts," Dareth sighed.
"Boys, keep yer eyes out for any other silly masked pajama man," Soto told his crew.
"Oh! Please! Help!" Dareth cried out the ninjas as saw the Bounty from down a street from where they were.
Kai groaned in irritation, "Dang it, Dareth!" He grumbled.
"We need to get onboard that ship." Cole pointed out.
"Well, we can't help Dareth if we all go in. Even if we can handle the pirates, Dareth could get hurt." Lydie stated as Dareth could get caught in the crossfire if they attack straight at them.
Jay then noticed a costume store. "Ah-ha. There are other ways a Ninja can hide in plain sight," he said.
Moments later, after walking in, the Ninja walked out of the store wearing pirate costumes. "Hm, always wanted to dress like a pirate," Lydie said with a small smile.
They then snuck aboard the Bounty while the crew were distracted by Dareth.
"Haha! How about we have him walk the plank?" Soto suggested to his crew as he pointed his sword at Dareth and made him walked over to a plank. The crew laughed and cheered at that idea while Dareth looked really nervous.
"Y-you're making a big mistake," Dareth warned them as he was pushed closer and closer to the edge. "Don't make me call upon the Dragon!"
"We have to save him," Cole whispered to the others.
"We can't get close without blowing our cover," Lydie told him as Soto had Dareth on the edge of the plank.
"Who here wants to see 'im go splat?" Soto asked his crew as before they cheered for that.
"Who here wants to see 'im live?" Jay asked in their accent and the crew cheered for a bit before they looked at each other and wondered who asked that.
"Hehe. The plank's gettin' shorter, huh?" Soto told Dareth as put his sword around his neck.
Dareth whimpered, "We don't have to do this, guys! I'm a lousy martial artist! In fact, what I do, I wouldn't even call it an art! I know say I'm a brown belt, but… I painted it! And my trophies, they're all fakes!" he confessed to being a fraud while the Ninja rolled their eyes and sighed, knowing he was not a real martial artist.
Soto then pushed Dareth off, who screamed as he fell to his doom. But at that moment, Lloyd flew in on Ultra Dragon and saved Dareth. "I... I called the Dragon?! I called the Dragon!" He shouted excitedly as Ultra flew away.
"NINJA, GO!" the Ninja shouted as they did Spinjitzu, changing to their suits and revealing themselves.
Soto looked surprise. "More pajama people!?" He asked in shock.
"Where? I can't see!" No-Eyes asked.
"Ninja versus pirates. Who will win?" Kai asked as the Ninja ready their weapons, since the boys don't have their Golden Weapons anymore, they rely on the normal versions they had.
Cole then swung his scythe, slicing off the feather on Soto's hat. Soto growled at that before he and his crew charged at them.
Zane took out two smoke bombs and squeeze them to create a smokescreen before throwing his shurikens at one of the crew members of Soto's to pin them to the wall behind them.
Jay managed to flip over two of his crew members, when they swung their swords at him before he took out his nun-chucks and whacked one of them overboard and another to the floor.
Kai was fighting some pirates before one tried to attack him from behind, but Kai saw his reflection in his sword and blocked it, he then jabbed his sword into the deck and spun around on it, kicking the pirates away.
Lydie swung her staff as she knocked the pirates weapons away while also knocking a few back or overboard the Bounty as she kicked them. "I always wanted to fight pirates." She said to herself.
Zane then pulled out a whip as one of them charged at the two and try to strike them with said whip. They managed to dodge three of them before he spun around and knocked them back.
Cole was dealing with Pete, and surprisingly having a difficult time with him, mostly because of his rat. "Left!" The parrot said as Pete swung his weapon, missing Cole but also dodging his attack. "No, your other left!" He corrected as Pete swung and missed again but Cole got his scythe stuck.
Cole tried to pull his scythe out before he came up with an idea. Before No-Eyes' parrot could tell him anything, Cole quickly granted and closed its mouth so it would not say anything before he held up his hand of No-Eyes.
"Right!" Cole imitated his parrot's voice. No-Eyes heard it and moved right in the way of Cole's hand.
As the fight went on, Jay noticed a gumball machine and got an idea. He then smashed the glass jar and the gumballs spilled out. That way, when the pirates stepped on them, they started to slip and fall over, but the Ninja fell over as well in the process.
"Jay!" The Ninja called out while giving Jay a look.
"Oops." Jay said sheepishly as he didn't think his friends would slip as well.
Unfortunately, Soto didn't fall for it since he just lifted up his leg as he stood on his peg leg as he gave a chuckle. And then, Ultra Dragon flew over the ship before Lloyd jumped off and swung on a rope down.
"NINJA-GO!" Lloyd cried out before he kicked Soto down and he landed on deck.
Soto got up and scowled at Lloyd. "PIRATE-GO!" he shouted, striking at Lloyd before Lydie blocked him.
"Lloyd! You're not suppose to be here!" Lydie said as she stuffed Lloyd into a barrel. Lloyd grunted before he managed to tip over the barrel that she had put him in down before standing up and charging blindly into Soto to knock him down.
Lloyd then lost his balance and hit a switch that lowered the anchor while the ship was in the air and moving.
He then rolled towards Lydie when she was about to use her powers to tip the scales, but she ended up standing on Lloyd's barrel and started rolling around.
She then fell off the ship, grabbed on to the anchor as it fell. "Waaaah!" She cried out as she hit the ground and the anchor was dragged along the road. "Oh, sorry about that! I'll pay for that! Ooh, that's gonna leave a mark! Oops!" She winced as she knocked over cars.
In brig, Garmadon was using his Mega Weapon to reach for the keys on a hook. With luck, he smirked as he managed to snag onto the cell keys.
Back on deck, Soto tried to slice Lloyd in the barrel but the little Ninja just kept dodging. "Hold still, ye blurry little munchkin!" he demanded.
Lloyd may not have been able to see him, but he was able to dodge each attack Soto threw at him as he hopped from side to side.
He remembered Lydie's adivse on Spinjitzu, "Over the planks, Dodge the Swords, her comes the Dummy!" Lloyd recounted before he started spinning, "NINJA-GO!" He shouted from within the barrel as he spun around until he spent so fast, he became a green tornado and broke free.
Lloyd suddenly realized that he had done Spinjitzu before he unknowingly stopped right in front of Soto. "Whoa! Spinjitzu! I just did Spinjitzu for the first time!" he celebrated too soon as Soto struck him from behind.
Down in the streets, Lydie was still riding on the anchor but was heading straight for a tanker. "Oh no, oh no!" She cried. Luckily for her, Lloyd bumped the switch again and the anchor was being pulled up, nearly missing the tanker. She was then helped up by the others and they stood their ground against Soto and his crew, pushing them back with her dark flames. From the entrance to the lower deck, Garmadon saw his kids and could feel his power growing.
"My children. They're growing stronger," Garmadon whispered as Lloyd charged up his energy into a ball of green light surged around him.
"Lloyd, don't! Your powers are too uncontrollable!" Kai tried to warn him before Lloyd launched the ball of light towards Soto and his crew. But then the light bounced off from Soto's sword and onto the mast. The Ninja turned just in time to see the mast fall on top of them.
They crawled out from under the mast and looked up to see Soto and his crew over them. "Ye lose, Pajama People," Soto said as the Pirate held their weapons close to them, "Now, ye all walk the plank!" As he and his crew laughed at their eventual demise.
Suddenly, a loud thud was heard, and then another, and another as one pirate noticed the liquid his cup was shaking. They all looked up and saw Nya in her Samurai mech heading towards them. She climbed onto the ship and the pirates ran for it before she picked up the mast and used it to knock them down. She then put it back into place.
The Ninja stood up as Nya spun around her glaive and then slid down on it through the sail and landed on Soto. "Who wins in the battle between Pirates and Ninja? It's Samurai X!" Jay declared as Nya chuckled and he sighed dreamily.
Soon the Ninja and Nya landed the Bounty as the cops took Soto and his crew into custody as the cops arrested them for their crime as the officer turned to the Ninja. "Good work, team." He congratulated them.
Lydie then grinned down at her brother, "Don't forget this little guy." She said, pulling Lloyd into a side hug.
The officer looked a little unsure before turning to Jay. "By the way, that your ship?" He asked.
"Sure is," Jay answered before they heard the engines turning on. They turned to see
Garmadon, and the Serpentine on the deck as the Black Bounty was lifting up into the air.
"Sorry! You snooze, you lose!" Garmadon bragged at them as he and the three Generals stood up on deck.
"Lord Garmadon!" Kai and the others glared at him.
"Dad!/Father!" Both Lydie and Lloyd called out, reaching out to their father.
"Your growing stronger my children, but you'll never be strong enough to defeat me." Garmadon mocked at them."Give up, before it's too late!" He told his children.
Lloyd took a moment before looking down in shame before he felt Lydie holding his shoulder, making him look at her and the rest od their friends who gave him a confident look, telling him that he could do it.
He then had a confident smile on his face as he backed up to his friends, signaling his father that he's not giving up.
"Sorry father, but we're Ninja, and Ninja never quit!" Lydie said boldly with a smirk.
"Have it your way! Another day, Ninja. Another day!" Garmadon called out to them.
"Ah, great! Lord Garmadon is back with the Serpentine and now they've got our ship!" Jay complained.
"Well, at least we got this little guy and our Captain." Cole said as he patted on Lloyd's back as the Garmadon siblings smiled at their friends as they returned the gesture as the Black Bounty took off with Garmadon laughing off into the distance.
As the heroes watch the ship fly off, knowing they would be ready for anything Garmadon could throw at them. Dareth was whistling as he walked up behind Lydie and in hopes to surprise-attack her, only for her to instinctively grab his hand and flip him over her shoulder right in front of the group.
"Lydie three, Dareth zero," Lydie bragged while dusting herself off.
"Oh, come on, guys," Dareth spoke up. "I 'Dareth' you to forgive me." The group gave a laugh as Lloyd gave him a pat on the back as Dareth smiled as the Ninja stood silently at their victory.
