Back at the Bounty and Harumi were waiting for the Ninja to return, but were caught off guard when they heard the sound of horns blaring.
"W-What's going on?" Harumi asked in worry they then turned to see the Ninja, Wu and Misako returned with defeated expressions.
"Wh-what was that sound?! Th-The horns?" Julien asked as the horns faded out into silence.
"The Celestial Clock has reached zero," Wu explained. "Garmadon's Ultimate Weapon is now complete and operational. And the Final Battle between good and evil, has all but started," HE said worryingly.
"Now Lloyd and Lydie must face their father." Misako said as comforted her children.
Harumi gasped as she went over to them and held Lloyd's hand. "But where's Nya?" Juilen asked as he notice Nya was mission.
"She was taken by the Overlord, but we'll get her back." Wu explained as Kai comforted Jay by placing a hand on his shoulder. "At the moment, there are bigger things at stake, including all of Ninjago." He said.
Jay scoffed as he took off his hood. "Who cares about Ninjago?!" he retorted. "Nya was my—uh, my...you know," He struggled to finish.
"And she is my sister," Kai spoke up as he took off his hood and the others did the same. "I know her being captured is tough, but she's tougher. Tougher than most of us. We'll see her again." He assured as the others took off their hoods.
Wu then look at his niece and nephew as they look greatly conflicted and hesitation. "Lloyd, Lydie, your focus gives strength to invoking the power of the Golden and Obsidian Dragons. Neither of you cannot lose faith now. Everything rests on both your shoulders." He said to them.
"But uncle, you saw what happened when we could finally take out ou father. we-we froze," Lloyd said as he looked down sadly. "I can't fight him."
"You both can and you must," Wu told him. "It is written in the scrolls."
"Yeah, well the scrolls don't know squat!" Lydie yelled as she shot Wu a glare. "You know, we never chose to be the chosen ones because of what the scrolls say, because if it said that we would have to fight our own father, then it's causing us more problems than they already are!" She yelled as she got close to Wu's face.
Her enraged expressions turned to sorrow, "I, I'm Sorry Uncle. I'm not trying to blame you, I'm just, so scared of what's going to happen next."
"You shouldn't be afraid, Lydie…" Wu tried to speak but was cut off.
"Uncle, when are you gonna get it?" Lydie questioned. "We maybe the only ones who can stop father, but the only problem is, we love him too much to do it." She pointed out as she paced back in forth. "All this time before the countdown, the final battle never bothered us before father remove the helmet from the clock, I tried to deny it but now…I don't think I can't save Ninjago if it means losing our father." She said while hugging herself while Lloyd looked away sadly as well.
Misako looked at her daughter and then smiled sympathetically as she approached her children, "Perhaps, but you should know that your father is just as scared as you two are." She told them.
Lloyd and Lydie looked at her in surprise, "He is?" Lloyd asked, surprised to hear they're father was scared.
"Garmadon wanted to avoid battling you as much as you both did," Misako explained, "So you must remember, that this won't be easy for him either."
"Then the battle will be decided by who is willing to fight." Wu declared as Kai put on his hood and draw his elemental blade.
"And neither of you will be alone. I'll be right behind you both." Kai said. "You have my fire."
"And you have my earth." Cole spoke next drawing his blade.
"And my ice." Zane said with his blade out.
"And lightning." Jay finished with his blade out as well
Wu, Misako, Julien and Harumi looked at the Garmadon Siblings encouragingly, telling them they were behind them too, "We're all in this together, guys." Cole said to Lydie and Lloyd.
Lloyd felt his confidence return but Lydie still looked unsure. 'Hey, don't worry.' Lloyd told his sister through their link, 'The Scroll said we needed to defeat our father, not destroy him.' He reminded.
'I know but…' Lydie trailed off.
'Don't worry, as long as we're together, nothing can hurt us.' Lloyd said as he smiled at her.
Lydie then slowly smiled back and turned back to her family, "Alright everyone, lets suit up! We've got a fight to catch!" She declared as she and Lloyd flipped up their hoods.
All of them were preparing for the battle that was to come as Misako readied her scroll bag and swung it around.
Wu spun his staff and practiced some moves while balancing a cup .
Kai readied his blade as he did Spinjitzu.
gave Zane an oil up as he closed his chest and then did Spinjitzu.
Cole readied his blade and struck out with it.
Jay looked at a photo of him and Nya at Mega Monster Amusement Park, just as she was about to give him a kiss. He then did Spinjitzu, determined to get her back.
Harumi looked at her hands unsurely, before she grew more determined and slammed them together, determined to see this through and protect her home.
The Garmadon siblings flipped up their hoods and focused with their eyes closed. "We're ready," They said in unison, opening their eyes.
The entire group began the charge right towards the enemy camp as they were prepared to fight to the end. They soon saw the gates to the camp up ahead as Lloyd jumped to the ground. "Get down, now," he whispered as they followed his lead.
"They won't know what hit them," Kai whispered.
"Time to chop wood!" Jay declared as they charged.
"NINJA, GO!" they all shouted, busting down the gate. But they were shocked to find the entire camp was deserted.
"Uh, where the heck is everybody?" Jay asked in confusion while scratching his head.
"Ugh. And here I was all ready to release the thunder." Cole complained.
Kai looked around in concern as he notice the empty construction sight, "Garmadon's Ultimate Weapon is gone! We're too late!" He called out as they all entered the deserted camp. "Nya! Nya!" He called out.
"There's no one here at all. Not even a single stone warrior." Lydie commented in confusion, "Why did they all leave?"
They then saw Zane's Falcon flying towards them as it got their attention.
"My Falcon friend wants to show us something," Zane told them.
Rushing out the enemy camp, the party followed the Falcon who led them to a path in the jungle, where they saw large tracks heading outside the camp.
"Whoa, that's one BIG weapon," Lloyd commented.
"Weapon? More like a tank!" Lydie exclaimed.
"It appears to be heading toward the coast." Zane theorized.
"Why? Wouldn't he just try use it on us?" Lloyd asked.
"Not on us. On Ninjago." Wu told Lloyd which made them all gasp in shock at realization. "He always wanted to turn our world into his own image. Now we know how it will be done."
"But if he starts turning things evil, the balance will shift and allow the Overlord to cross over into our world." Misako stated in horror.
Lydie gasped and turned to her friends, "Wait, then do you think that…" She trailed off.
"This is what the Overlord wanted from the beginning?" Lloyd answered in shock.
"He was using father to help him escape his prison this whole time!" Lydie cried out. "It was all a trick!"
"Then we have to warn father and make sure he never fires that weapon!" Lloyd declared.
The others nodded as they all began to follow the tracks towards the Ultimate Weapon when Zane noticed his father was already out of breath.
"Father." Zane called out as he ran over to his father.
"You go on ahead," Julien panted. "I'm an inventor, not a fighter. I'll only get in the way."
"But what will you do?" Zane asked.
"I'll be back at the Bounty, waiting for you to return in one piece." Julien said as he place a comforting hand on his son's shoulder. "But don't worry, son, a part of me will always be with you." heassured Zane with a smile.
"I'll stay with him to make sure he's okay." Harumi said. "I'm not much of a fighter. I'll only slow you guys down. But looking after people in need, that I can be more useful in." She said.
Lloyd approached her with a smile, "We'll be back Rumi, be strong." He said as they shared a hug before they broke away.
"Be well father." Zane said as his falcon landed on his ar,.
"Be safe." Julien and Harumi replied with smiles as they watched the Ninja go to stop Garmadon.
As the others ran through the jungles, thoughts were running through their heads.
"Um… is anyone else thinking about how this might be our final fight together?" Jay asked.
"Yeah." Kai said.
"Of course." Zane added.
"It's all I've been thinking about." Cole stated.
"We've come a long way." Lyide commented as she looked at them. "It wasn't that long when Sensei first found us."
Jay then lightened the mood with a funny memory, "Hey remember that time Kai put on the Green Suit to unlock his True Potential when he thought he was the Green Ninja?" He asked as they all, minus Kai who blushed in embarrassment, laughed.
"That was quite the memory." Zane commented.
"He was so not." Cole chuckled.
"Or what about the Hypnobrai hypnotized Cole and we had to fight him?" Zane added in amusement as they all laughed, not noticing something flipping over and behind them.
"Haha, we should've just kicked his butt!" Kai laughed.
Lloyd laughed as he gave raised brow at his sister, "Heh, you and the guys had to destroy my treehouse!" He complained playfully.
"Don't take it personally bro, it was pretty awesome clubhouse." Lydie shrugged with a laugh before she remembered something else, "Hey, what about that time you boys tried a sneak attack on me, and I kicked all your butts when you four trained longer than me?" She asked as they all laughed again. "Seriously, you guys are such pushovers!"
"Heh, well maybe once this over we should do again, only this time no holding back!" Cole suggested.
Lydie smirked, "Challenged accepted." She said as what passed them earlier flipped over their heads again.
"Or how about that time Sensei came out of the guts of the Devourer's belly drinking tea?" Zane recalled as they all groaned and laughed as Misako grinned at Wu, who blushed in embarrassment.
"Oh, that was so gross!" Cole gagged while laughing as the two blurs zipped behind them.
"Yeah! I thought he was goners!" Jay laughed.
"Wrong again, Mr. Emptyhead," Wu said as he lightly whacked Jay on the head with his bamboo staff.
They all continued to laugh before something zipped pass them in a blur, which caught Lydie's attention.
"Everyone stop!" Lydie called holding her arms out as they all skidded to a halt.
"What's up, Captain?" Cole asked.
Lydie looked around suspiciously, "Something doesn't feel right." She said.
The others are having the same feeling as well as they look around. "Yeah, something is wrong here." Cole said in agreement.
"Where? Where?" Jay asked nervously.
"Did I just see…?" Kai asked as he trailed off as rustling sounds can be heard.
"I sense an evil presence." Zane said, looking around.
"Where? Where?" Jay asked again before they saw something moving pass the trees.
"Above us!" Wu called out as they look around.
"Okay, who or what is messing with us?" Lydie said as she gave a focus look as the group stood back to back.
Just then, a reddish Spinjitzu moved pass them as it hit Cole on the face. "Ow, my jaw! That hurt!" He groan while holding his cheeks.
The red Spinjitzue,, spun out as it knocked over Lloyd and Lydie.
"No one does that to the Ninjas of Yin & Yang!" Kai told the red Tornado. When it stopped spinning, it revealed itself to be...
"Nya?!" Jay said.
"That is no longer Nya!" Wu said as he stopped him.
"What did he do to my sister!?" Kai demanded.
"He must've used the power of Ultimate Weapon to turn her into his own evil image." Misako theorized.
Nya gave them a wild, almost primal yell as she was decked out in what looked like an evilize version of her Samurai armor complete with a Stone Warrior helmet.
Lydie looked at her best friend in horror, "So if my father uses that weapon, everyone in Ninjago is gonna end up like that?!" She asked.
"Exactly, Garmadon must have sent Nya to slow us down," Wu said as Nya pulled out a flail, "We have to stop them from firing that weapon!"
"What are we supposed to do?" Cole asked as Nya spun her flail, "Use our elemental powers on her?"
Jay held him back, "No! I don't wanna hurt her!" He said in worry.
"Jay's right! Even if she's evil, Nya is still in there!" Lydie added as she looked at her best friend.
Kai looked just as conflicted, "They're right. We just have to find a way to keep her from-" He was cut off when Nya's flail extended and struck him in the face and the others watched as he fell to the ground, "Hurting us." Kai groaned as he raised a hand.
Nya caught her flail and yelled at them again, "Well we should think of something before Garmadon fires that weapon!" Zane expressed as Kai stood up and tried to stay up.
"Lloyd, Captain, you two go on ahead with sensei and Misako while the rest of us take care of Nya!" Cole instructed.
"But you said you'd always be behind me." Lloyd said in worry.
"And Nya's my best friend, I can't leave you to fight her alone." Lydie added looking conflicted.
"We will be and you have to." Kai answered as Jay did Spinjitzu. "We'll catch up as soon as we can." He assured..
Jay spin towards Nya to grab her ball and chain, but unfortunately, he also got hit in the gut. "Oh, that hurt!" He moaned as Nya tried to pull free.
"The Ninja are right, we must go!" Wu ushered them.
"We'll still behind you both, children." Misako assured her children as the four of them ran ahead as Nya broke free from Jay and tried to strike them from behind.
"Not so fast, sweetheart! This dance ain't over!" Cole told her before he used the chain to fling her over and she landed safely on the ground. She then flipped back and let out a growl as she took a battle stance. "Triple Tiger Sashay!" He declared as leapt towards her only for her to let out a sonic ring around him, stopping him in mid-air before she grabbed him by the hands and flipped him over her. "AAHH!" Cole yelled in pain as felt his back crack.
Nya then tossed him over to the others knocking them down like bowling pins.
As they stood up, Nya gave a primal yell at the boys as they charged again.
At the Beach, Garmatron and the rest of the Stone Army came to a halt at the coastline, "Ninjago is now within reach," The Overlord said almost excitedly, ""Activate the Weapon so all will know of your rule!" He told Garmadon,
Garmadon gave an excited laugh. "Yes! Load the cannon!" He ordered his army.
Kozu commanded his solider to load a missile loaded with Dark Matter into the ammo tank.
"Finally, my darkest dream will now become reality!" Garmadon said as he walked up to the console and raise his hoof high, ready to press the big red button. "And my family, will at at last me returned to me."
"Father, don't!" Lloyd and Lydies's voices were heard that Garmadon stopped and turned to see his family coming out of the jungle.
"Lloyd! Lydie!" Garmadon said.
"What are you doing?!" the Overlord demanded impatiently. "Push the button!"
Garmadon then looked down at the four, "So the balance has sent my son, my daughter, my brother and my wife to try to stop me?" He exclaimed as let out a small grin. "It looks like my little surprise has kept the Ninja busy."
"Don't do it!" Misako begged. "If you alter the balance, it will allow the Overlord to cross over."
"The balance will be destroyed, and we will all pay dearly!" Sensei Wu added.
Garmadon was caught off guard by this information, "Don't listen to them," The Overlord said as Garmadon turned to him, "They betrayed you and I have given you all that you ever wanted, and so much more."
"Father can't you see the Overlord is just using you?!" Lydie asked her father, "This isn't about you or us, it's about him!"
"And we don't want to fight you, but we will if we have to!" Lloyd shouted towards his father. "This is about more than just us! This is about what is right!"
After a few moments of silence, Garmadon spoke. "Don't you all see? I will never do what is right! The evil in my body can never go away! It has corrupted every ounce of my fiber, every bone in my body, every drop of blood in my veins!" He shouted with both hurt and venom in his tone while gesturing to his corrupted and four armed body. "I am Lord Garmadon! Destiny took my family from me, and the only way for us to be together again is to turn everything in this world into my image! Then you'll see, you'll all see what I see, feel what I feel, know what I know!"
"It's not too late to walk away from this!" Lydie spoke up. "We can still-"
"You've made your decision, and I have made mine!" Garmadon interrupted her before he turned back to the console and raised his hand high over the button.
"NO!" The group shouted as Garmadon slammed on the button but the Ultimate Weapon did not fire as the computer showed a timer.
"GARMATRON. WARMING UP." The Computer said as the blue ring slowly turned orange, "IN T-MINUS 20…19…18…17…" It counted down as Garmadon looked at it slacked-jawed.
"WARMING UP?!" Garmadon shouted in disbelief as he looked up at the Overlord. "You could've warned me it had to warm up!" He yelled.
"How could I? You were monologuing." The Overlord excused himself sarcastically.
"...16…" The computer continued counting.
"We have to get to the top and shut it off!" Lloyd shouted.
"We can't let that thing fire!" Lydie added.
"Stop them!" Garmadon ordered Kozu.
General Kozu jumped down from the Ultimate Weapon as the stone warriors got in the way. Garmatron fired at them but Misako deflected the blasts. "Go you two!" Misako told her children.
Lydie and Lloyd then started running pass the army as Garmatron was still counting down as they jumped.
"Come on, come on, come on!" Garmadon shouted impatiently as the Garmadon twins landed on the Ultimate Weapon. "No!" The timer was already at five seconds as Garmadon locked hand with his children just before Kozu and Narmaka, jumped back on and grab Lloyd and Lydie.
"Got you!" Kozu told Lloyd.
"It's over!" Narmaka said to Lydie as the timer was three seconds away from firing.
"3...2...1…" the computer said as Garmadon smirked and then the Garmatron fired.
"NNOOO!" Misako cried out.
"We're too late." Lydie said in despair
"We're losing," Lloyd said in worry.
Garmadon laughed. "And I… win!" he declared as they watched the missile fly towards Ninjago.
The missile flew towards Ninjago as it hit it's first target as it crashed in Ignacia as dark matter spread all over.
The villagers panic as they try to get away from it, but the dark matter spread really quickly as it turned everything dray and darkness and evilized the villagers like Nya as they growled evilly.
Garmadon laughed evilly and loudly as his dream of recreating Ninjago was finally coming true.
"Again!" The Overlord demanded.
"Again!" Garmadon repeated as the stone warriors loaded the Ultimate Weapon up again. Lloyd and Lydie was raised up by Kozu and Narmaka and wouldn't let go.
"The balance is shifting!" Misako spoke in worried as they turned to the Garma-Twins.
"Lydie! Lloyd! You two must focus and put a stop to this!" Wu reminded them.
The Garma-Twins then closed their eyes and focus as they conjured up their power and beams of light shined down before Garmadon pulled a lever as his children, Kozu and Narmaka fell down a trap door. The four of them then rolled and fell out back as Lloyd and Lydie crashed on the ground.
"You think you can stop me?!" Garmadon asked before he pressed the big red button again and fired another missile filled with Dark Matter at Ninjago.
"Our worst fears have been confirmed." Wu sighed as another part of Ninjago was getting corrupted.
Back with the Ninja, the fight was turning one sided as Nya had Cole tied to a tree, Jay and Kai were thrown to the side and a tree fell on them and Zane was forced to hide and wait for an opening.
"This is not good!" Cole strained.
Kai grunted as he tried wriggle out from under the tree. "We gotta help them, I just heard cannon fire from the beach!" He said.
"Tell that to your sister!" Cole reminded. "It's four against one. And I think she's winning like how Lydie first met us!" He pointed out.
Zane then got an idea as he got out of hiding. "Perhaps we can use our elemental powers, but without hurting her?" He suggested as he brought out his elemental blade and broke the chain with an icicle that dropped Cole. Nya fell back when the chain was cut.
"I like it!" Cole said as he and the others regrouped. "Let's do it!" He added as they face Nya again.
Nya threw some sharp sticks at them, but Jay brought out his blade to form an electric shield that deflect them as Jay turned to Cole. "Cole, can you blind her for a sec?" He asked.
"Thanks to you, sure thing!" Cole said.
Cole stabbed the ground and blew the dust at Nya, blinding her. "Ahh! My eyes! I can't see!" Nya yelled in pain as she walked around blindly.
Jay then noticed she was walking under a tree and got an idea, "Kai, quick! Cut that tree!"
"No problem!" Kai responded as he drew his blade and blasted a fireball at the tree stem, cutting it as it fell over Nya.
"I know where you're heading." Zane said, seeing Jay's plan as he froze the tree in place, trapping Nya inside as she growled.
"Sorry sis, but this club just became Ninja only!" Kai told his sister, "We'll fix you up later, I promise." He added as they started to make their way where the others, along with the Ultimate Weapon were.
At Jamanakai Village, the dark matter missile hit a close mountain as the sky became dark as the dark mattered hit the village as the villagers panicked as the dark matter hitted them and their village became gray and they were corrupted as well as they growled.
Back on the Dark Island, the Overlord sense the increasing dark energy surging through him as he laughed with vile joy, which is growing louder by the minute.
"We tried." Lloyd said as he and his sister looked down in defeat.
"We couldn't stop them in time." Lydie added sadly.
"We know." Wu told them as the Overlord was laughing louder and louder.
"It is done. The balance has shifted." Misako said as the clouds above them started to circle and spiral around them.
"Stop laughing now!" Garmadon shouted at the Overlord. "This is my victory! What's happening?!" He demanded, wanting to know what is going on.
The Overlord stopped laughing and answered, "You've helped offset the balance." He told Garmadon as he laughed again. "Because of you, I can now cross over into your world! I'm finally free!" He said in black joy.
"Wait a minute!" Garmadon shouted in rage, finding this familiar like what he did to Samukai before he escape the Underworld. "You stole that from my playbook! Well, you can forget about it! Ninjago is mine!" He shouted.
"No. Ninjago was never to be yours." The Overlord started as his orb started growing, "It… has…always…been… MINE!" the Overlord roared.
Then in that instant, a beam of light shot down on Garmadon as he screamed in pain. The others covered their eyes as Garmadon kept screaming.
The boys then caught up to them. "Sorry we're late. Did we miss much?" Jay asked as they then saw Garmadon fell on his knees while screaming in pain. "Holy unholy." Jay said in shock.
Garmadon opened his eyes and felt to the ground as he felt something in his body...changing. He looked to his hand started to turn into a claw. The extra hands started to transform into claws as well. "What is happening to me?!" He asked as he felt more pain coursing through him.
"Are you scared? I'm scared!" Jay asked the others frighteningly.
Garmadon's body began to mutate even more. "Something…is very wrong here!" was all Garmadon could say before his head became dragon-like and from his fang filled mouth the Overlord's voice was heard.
"The Metamorphosis… HAS BEGUUNNN!"
"Metamorphosis?! What does that mean?!" Kai asked.
"Metamorphosis is a biological process by which someone or something changes into something new," Zane explained.
"Yeah, changes into something ugly!" Cole said as he pointed at Garmadon.
The Overlord then stood up as he laughed as he took control of Garmadon's body.
"Father!/Dad!" The Garma-Twins shouted, seeing what their father changed into as they tried to reach him, but Wu held them back.
"No, Lloydi, Lydie, that is no longer your father." Wu told them.
"But what about the prophecy?" Lloyd asked. "It said we have to face our father." He reminded them.
Lydie then realize something when reminded of the prophecy. "Not unless the prophecy wasn't talking about father at all," She told them. "What if it was talking about the Overlord this whole time?!" she told them.
The others turned to her in confusion. "What are you talking about, Captain?" Kai asked.
"Guys, think about it. The prophecy said that the Ninja of Yin & Yang would defeat the Dark Lord, but it didn't give us any implication that it was our father." Lydie started with a hopeful smile before turning to Wu. "Uncle, didn't you say that if you kept the secret of the Overlord, he would never be heard from again?" She asked.
Wu nodded his head. "Yes. But, what does that have to do with…" He was cut off.
"The Overlord was around since Grandfather created Ninjago!" Lydie pointed out. "Before you or any of us were born! And if the prophecy states that me and Lloyd would defeat the Dark Lord, it must've meant we would defeat the one being Grandfather never could!"
That's when the others began to realize what Lydie was saying as Lloyd spoke. "It was talking about the Overlord this whole time!" He called out, relieved he no longer had to fight their father.
"Of course! And now the Overlord has possessed Garmadon." Misako said before looking in worry. "And unlike your father, the Overlord will show neither of you no mercy."
"You can do this, Garma-Twins." Kai encourage.
"We're here and behind you all the way." Jay spoke next.
"He's tough, but together, you're both tougher." Cole added.
"But we have to act before his evil gets more powerful." Zane suggested as they heard the Overlord laughing.
Lydie nodded, "Right, but this isn't just about saving Ninjago, it's also about getting our father out of that thing!" She declared, pointing to the Overlord.
Lloyd nodded with his sister as they put on their hoods. "Let's do this!" He declared.
"NINJA, GO!" They all charged and the Ninja did Spinjitzu at the Stone Samurai in their way. Lloyd and Lydie created a firewall to keep them from advancing while the boys proceeded into destroying the tanks.
"I need more dark power, but where to attack next?" He asked himself before turning to the Garmatron's computer to see. "Ninjago City."
He then aimed the weapon at the city and then pressed the button to fire, only to find the weapon was still not loaded. Confused, he looked down and saw that the heroes had prevented his army from loading the cannon. "Jay!" Wu called out as he and Misako tossed the missile filled with Dark Matter to him.
"This one's out of the ballpark!" Jay shouted as he swung his blade and knock the missile far away.
"See to it personally that the cannon is loaded!" the Overlord ordered both Kozu and Narmaka.
"Klatabou!" Kozu declared as he and Narmaka attacked Wu and Misako before they kick them into the loading deck of the Ultimate Weapon. "Klatabou?" He asked in confusion.
When the Overlord saw that it was loaded, he hit the red button and fired both Kozu and Narmaka at Ninjago City. The Ninja laugh at that while Sensei Wu chuckled.
"Nice one, mom!" Lydie grinned as Misako laughed.
Kozu and Narmaka screamed as they held onto each other while flying through the air and crashed in Ninjago City, more specifically, Dareth's Mojo Dojo.
As the two recovered from their extreme flight, Dareth stood before them with a glare. "You two just messed with the wrong Dojo Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum!" He said as he snapped his fingers while his pupils along with some of the Ninja's friends and family appeared in the dojo. "Pupils, attack!" He ordered
Dareth's pupils then gave a battle cry as they charge at the two stone warriors as they were tackled to the ground.
Those two could take the Ninja and Serpentine but lose to a bunch of rookies. How humiliating
Back on the Dark Island, the Overlord slammed his fist down on the console in frustration. "Fine! I'll load it myself!" he shouted as Kai and Jay knock back a few stone warriors before one that was mounted on a turret pointed right at them.
"Look out, Jay!" Kai shouted when he spotted the turret. He and Jay dodge the laser fires as they both hop on top of it as Kai kick a Stone Warrior off it. "Sorry. But only two can dance this dance." He joked.
Jay then jumped off and kicked two Stone Warriors as Kai took control of the turret and fired at the warriors while Jay did Spinjitzu to knock some of the enemies away.
While the Overlord's back was turned, Lloyd and Lydie managed to climb up to the Garmatron and he turned to them.
"This ends NOW!" The Garma-Twins declared, pointing to the True Dark Lord.
"And so, the Final Battle has begun," Misako said, looking at her children in hope that they would defeat the Overlord and save Garmadon.
"Let's hope they're ready," Wu said, thinking the same thing.
The Garma-Twins faced the Overlord as they recounted their fights and battles they had together. "All this time, everything has led to this." Lloyd started.
"Every battle we fought, everything we've been through, all the training and battles we fought, it all comes down to you." Lydie added while glaring at the entity who took their father from them. "Your deception won't save you from the dragons you have awakened, for all you have done to us, our friends and family, Ninjago, we will send you back to rot in the pit you crawled out of!"
"Stupid children." The Overlord insulted them. "I've been planning this for thousands of years."
"Eat green!" Lloyd shouted as he fired at the Overlord first as he yelled in pain.
"Nice shooting, bro." Lydie complimented as she brought out her powers. "My turn! Taste your own medicine!" She shouted while firing a beam of darkness at the Overlord next, which made him yelled in pain again.
"Show him, Garma-Twins!" Cole cheered them on.
The Overlord stood back and blasted a beam of dark energy at the Garma-Twins. They dodged it but then the Overlord punched them off the Garmatron and onto the beach. As Lloyd and Lydie picked themselves up the Overlord charged up another attack and fire at him but Lloyd answered back with his own beam. After a brief struggled the Overlord fired another blast at Lloyd but he dodged it again.
Lloyd then focused her power and then blasted the Overlord back and then Lydie joined in pushing him back further, with him screaming in pain from that.
"Did he just scream in pain after I hit him?" Lydie asked as she ceased her attack.
Lloyd then realize something. "Sis, your powers are darkness. The Overlord is literally made of darkness, he might not be immune to his own element. Which is why your attacks harm him more then I could." He theorized.
Lydie then realizes what Lloyd was saying. "Which is why the Ninja of Yin & Yang must work together to defeat the Dark Lord. The balance of light and dark, work as one." She said while looking at her hands.
Lloyd smiled, "Then let's hit him together." He declared as Lydie smiled as the joined hands and blasted the Overlord together, pushing him into the forest.
"Yes!" Jay cheered before the Overlord flew upwards, completely unharmed, "No!" He cried.
The Overlord then laughed as he flew towards the Garma-twins like bullet and then crashed into the ground, knocking them right at the edge of the shore. "The battle for good and evil," the Overlord said as he approached them. "I can do this for eternity, but can either of you? Your friends and family can't help both of you now! You two are all alone!"
Lloyd and LYdie then stood up and removed their hoods as they stared at the Overlord. "No we're not!" Lloyd started bravely.
"Our father is still in you!" Lydie called out with a determined look. "He will fight with us! Dad! If you can hear us in there, you have to take control again!" She yelled out.
As if on cue, Garmadon appeared in his normal form, "Lloyd! Lydie! Stay strong!" Garmadon told his children before the Overlord tried to take control again as if they were fighting for control as Lydie and Lloyd looked on tearfully.
After slapping his own head for a bit, the Overlord turned to Garma-Twins. "Fools, you two cannot defeat me!" He declared, pointing at them.
Then twins glared and the Lloyd unleashed a beam of light at the Overlord that knocked him high in the air and crashed on the ground. Lydie then charged at him before unleashing a flurry of dark-powered punches and kicks at him before kicking him into the air as Lloyd joined next to his sister.
"We can try!" The Garma-Twins shouted as they unleashed two beams together before the Overlord got up and blocked it. He then fired two beans of his own power at The Garma-Twins and laughed as they're three beans collided.
"Fight him, father!" Lloyd called out.
"We know your still in there!" Lydie added.
The Overlord struggled as Garmadon regained control. "Children. He's, too, strong!" He said with a tear as the Overlord took control again.
"Fight him!" Lloyd shouted.
"You can do it!" Lydie told him.
The others watched as they were awed at what they are seeing. "They are the Ninja of Yin & Yang." Kai said as they all watched in anticipation.
"Come on brother! Shake him off!" Wu encouraged as Misako held her hands pleadingly.
The Overlord then held his head as he tried to keep control of Garmadon as they began to wrestle for control. "You will not!… take!…" Garmadon struggled as he tried to fight him.
"FIGHT HIM!" Both Lloyd and Lydie shouted in unison at the top of their lungs.
"My…children…" That was the last thing Garmadon said before the Overlord took full control again.
"Your father is… GONE!" The Overlord roared as he unleashed two powerful beams with all four arms as he pierced through Lloyd and Lydie's beams and captured them in orbs of Dark Energy.
Both Lydie and Lloyd screamed in pain from that as the Overlord lifted them up and laughed as he spun them around before he tossed them across the beach as they fell to the ground as Lloyd landed on his back while Lydie fell face down.
"Lloyd! Lydie!" Wu shouted.
"My babies!" Misako cried in worry as she ran to them and checked her son and daughter with Wu following.
The OVerlord then aimed Garmatron at the four while the others watched in shock. "And so the Ninja of Yin & Yang go out with…" He started before slamming the button, "...A Big Bang." He quipped with an evil smile.
The missile was fired at the four. It would've hit them had the Destiny's Bounty not blocked it at the last second.
The heroes watched as Harumi was steering the ship while held onto the table as it was spinning out of control, "We may not be able to fight!" Dr. Julien started.
"But we can fly!" Harumi finished as she struggled to regain control.
They all watched as the Bounty moved around uncontrollably as Dr. Julien and Harumi ran out across the decking, trying to get away from the dark matter mist heading for them before they jumped off the ship as it crashed into the beach.
Harumi laughed as she sat up, "Hehe! Wow, that was kinda fun!" She said.
"Yes, that went well." Dr. Julien said with his glasses crooked.
"Enough!" the Overlord shouted and getting the attention of his Stone Army. "We don't need to waste our time with their pestering! We'll go to Ninjago City to finish this, once and for all!" A vortex then formed in front of them, a glimpse inside showing it led straight towards the city. The Overlord commanded his army to go through it with the Ultimate Weapon.
"If they leave, that means we'll be stuck here with no way to get back!" Kai told them, since the Bounty was wreck, they would be stranded on the Dark Island as they rushed towards the portal. "Get to the vortex! Now!" He told the others, dashing past them was Nya, who managed to escape.
"Bye-bye!" Nya waved taunted before she jumped onto Garmatron. "Forever!"
"I'm there! I'm there!" Kai shouted as he jumped towards the portal but then at the last second the portal closed and he landed on the ground, "NNNNNNOOOOOO!" He screamed as the others ran toward him.
They failed.
The whole group gathered around the Garma-Twins as Misako gave a gentle rub on Lydie while Harumi did the same for Lloyd as the twins came to as Lloyd looked at the others, but Lydie's eyes remained closed as she rubbed them.
"Did we.. Did we win?" Lloyd asked hopefully.
"Is the Overlord defeated?" Lydie pleaded trying to get the sand out of her eyes as the others lowered their heads.
"No." Wu answered grimly. "But you're both still alive." He added as Misako and Jay then helped Lydie up while Harumi and Cole did the same to Lloyd.
The two looked at each other, unable to believe that they lost. "We, we failed?" Lydie asked in disbelief as she tried to open her eyes.
"But the prophecy..." Lloyd said and began to walk before he felt pain in his right leg and nearly fell.
"Easy, Lloyd," Harumi told Lloyd as she and Cole helped him. "You and Lydie been through a lot."
"You think." Lydie said as she opened her eyes, only to see nothing. "W-wait what time is it?" She asked, which surprised the others. "It's so dark." She asked while looking around.
"Captain, there are dark clouds above us and we're right here next to you." Cole answered in confusion.
"What do you mean? It's pitch black." Lydie argued as they all looked at each in concern.
Lloyd turned to his sister, "Lyd?" He called.
"Lloyd?" Lydie asked as she turned to her brother when she heard him. "Are you okay? What's going on? I-I can't see you." She asked as she walked around with her arms out, like she was walking in the dark before she nearly tripped, "Somebody say something!"
"Uh. You surprisingly look great after getting flung across the beach?" Jay said unsurely before Cole bumped him. "OW! What was I supposed to say?!"
Misako went up to her daughter, "Lydie, turn around." She instructed as Lydie turned to her and Misako saw that Lydie's pupils had dilated and turned milky white, "Oh no." She said fearfully.
"W-What? What's wrong?" Lydie asked in worry.
"Sweetie. Your pupils have become dilated." Misako said to her daughter. "You're…blind."
The others were shocked by this, especially Lydie. "B-Blind!?" She yelled out in shock before she growled. "Oh, that Overlord is so gonna get it!" She warned as she moved around before she tripped again. "Whoa!" She yelled out as she landed next to Lloyd.
"Easy Captain, we got you." Kai said as he and Zane helped her up as Lydie manage to grab onto Lloyd.
"You okay, brother?" Lydie asked, wanting to change the subject.
"My leg..." Lloyd said as he was limping towards what's left of the Destiny's Bounty while his sister helped him while Lloyd guided her. "Did we lose the Final Battle?"
"What's important is we didn't lose either of you," Wu said as he walked up next to them.
"Yeah, Which means we can just try again." Lydie said as she turned her head to her uncle's direction. "So let's get the bounty and fly back to Ninjago, that spirit is gonna Pay!" She declared as she kicked something as it felt like metal.
She was surprised and bent down and felt a railing she was familiar with. "Wait, was that a piece of the bounty's railing?" Lydie asked.
"Y-Yeah." Cole said hesitantly. "Captain, the Bounty is a wreck. Dr.J and Harumi used it to protect you and Lloyd from the Ultimate Weapon." He explained.
"Meaning, we're shipwrecked here." Kai added solemnly.
"So, the Overlord escaped to Ninjago and we're stuck on the Dark Island with no way back and I'm blind while Lloyd's got a bum-leg?" Lydie asked slowly before putting a hand to her face, "Greeeat, now what're we gonna do?"
Lloyd then walked closer to the Bounty before he stepped on a piece of wood and saw an ancient Ninjago symbol on it before he picked it up.
"The symbol for destiny," Lloyd said as he looked at the symbol.
Lydie heard him as she place a hand on her brother's shoulder again, getting what he means."Destiny showed us who was stronger today." She started.
But destiny also wanted us around to fight another day." Lloyd added as they all gathered around them before looking out into the distance of their home that was now being corrupted by the Overlord as they speak.
"We didn't lose the battle. Today, we just lost the fight." Lydie finished as she looked straight blindly.
Now there were only two questions remaining: How will they return to Ninjago? And when the Final Battle truly begins, will they be able to win?
