New Ninjago City, once a bustling metropolis of technological marvels, now reduced to a dark and overrun ghost town, under the heel of the Digital Overlord as his forces searched for the Ninja, scanning the remaining civilians for them.
A man then run to a vending machine as he press on the button as his soda came out from a robotic hand, but as soon as he grab it, he couldn't budge it as a Nindroid in a hover-copter came flying by as he screamed as the Nindroid scanned the man.
But it came out negative as the man ran away, "Sector 7 clear," The Nindroid reported, "Continuing search for Nin-" He was cut off when he was blasted out of his cockpit.
Rolling out from an alley was Seliel as she frowned and moved on, looking for more people who needed her help.
On the top floor of Borg Tower, Pixal had a security mech in a large container while it looked to be surrounded by Golden Power and Obsidian Power. "Initializing power transference. Extracting golden and obsidian power," She said as she pressed a few more buttons, causing a black coffin to rise from the middle of the floor. "Standby for physical somatic download."
The container started siphoning the energy from the mech and pouring it into the coffin. Inside purple smog pulsed as magenta eyes flicked as the Overlord's voice was heard. "Yes, yes," the Overlord breathed, enjoying the power he felt… when suddenly and unfortunately for him, the power ran out. "It's not enough! I need more of the boy and girl's powers if I'm ever to be freed of this digital prison!"
The purple like smog traveled out of coffin and went behind the console before a figure came around it. It looked to be Borg a except part of his face had been covered with high tech while his face was blank look as this bodies had also been covered in the same high tech. Borg's artificial limbs had become modified to wield weapons while a screen with the Overlord's eyes were shown. "I am fed up with pathetic mortal bodies!" the Overlord said through Borg's body as he approached Pixal. "I want my own body back! Find me more power! Find me the Ninja of Yin & Yang!"
"By my computation, your primary duty should be finding the Techno Blades," Pixal suggested. "They are the only thing that can-"
"Those Ninja don't even know what they already possess!" the Overlord shouted at her. "I want the Golden and Obsidians! I won't let them slip through my grasp a second time!"
Pixal then turned to the screen where security feed was shown. "Nindroid troops have yet to find any traces of them. But there has been multiple loses from someone who is named the Phantom Ninja." She told him.
"The Phantom Ninja is not my priority. And they just don't know where to look," the Overlord saidand turned to his prisoner, Wu bound to two tables with a metal cap on his head.
"I'll will never tell you where they're hiding!" Wu added.
"You might not, but your memories will," the Overlord told him before his vessel shot a blue laser into the metal cap on Wu's head as he started to chuckle.
"It-it tickles!" Wu said.
"It's only a matter of time before your mind will tell me everything I need to know," The Overlord told them as behind Wu was was a screen projecting his memories spanning over years. "And once your memories have given me what I want, I have another purpose for you."
"Never!" Wu grunted before he continued to laugh as he was worried about him finding the others location.
Meanwhile, within a forest, the group were gathering a few small trees and covering their vehicles with them. Cole was carrying two large trees to hide his mech. "Aah, this is a perfect place to lay low," Lloyd spoke up. "No robots, No cameras, no problems."
"Just the peaceful silence of mother nature." Lydie smiled.
"Still, if any aerial drones pass overhead, you two better wear these." Nya said as she tossed the Garma-Twins new respective gis, for Lloyd gold and green while Lydie's is purple with dark lines. "It will scramble their signal so they can't find either of you."
The two then did Spinjitzu and appeared in their new Techno suits, both mirror reflections of each other, "Haha, Yeah this is sweet!" Lloyd laughed.
"Now this is my kind of look." Lydie said with a chuckle.
"Lloyd? Lydie?" A familiar voice said as the Garma-Twins turned to see Misako, wearing a simple black and green detailed kimono, running towards him with some groceries.
"Mom?" Lloyd asked before the three hugged.
"It's been a long while." Lydie said happily.
Misako then turned to the others. "It's good to see you all again," she said, "but what are you doing here?"
"The Overlord's back and New Ninjago City has fallen under his control." Lydie informed as she and her brother gave sad looks.
"And he has Uncle Wu." Lloyd added in worry.
Misako looked at them reassuringly, "Your Uncle's tough. There's a reason he's lived as long as he has." She reminded with a smile.
"Well, where's father?" Lydie asked.
"Yeah, where is Lord Garmadon?" Kai asked.
Misako shook her head. "He no longer goes by Lord. Here, he is Sensei Garmadon," she said, "and he won't be back until this evening's lesson. Susan and Nao are here to help me look after the orphans."
"Uh did you just say Sensei Garmadon?!" Jay asked in shock before Lydie elbowed him in the guts. "Ow!"
"Did you guys forgot that our father is cured of the Devourer's venom when we first defeated the Overlord?" Lydie questioned as she crossed her arms. "Because we were all there."
"Yeah, we were all there to see him, so why would you guys think he'd still call himself Lord Garmadon?" Lloyd asked with a frown.
The others look at each other sheepishly as they looked nervous. "I-I guess we're just used to him being evil that we're still getting used to him being good." Kai said slowly.
"Well, I am just grateful he is on our side now," Zane said, breaking the tension, "With Sensei Wu captured, we could use his guidance."
"Come in, but your weapons are not allowed," Misako told them. "Ever since Lloyd and Lydie saved their father, Garmadon's sworn an oath to never fight in hope to make up for his evil past. It's an oath he takes very seriously."
"But we were suppose to protect these with our lives." Kai pointed out as he and the boys took their Techno-Blades.
"And never let them out of our sight." Jay added.
"You guys go on ahead. I will stay behind and watch over them." Zane assured as each of the boys gave Zane their Techno Blades as they said 'thanks' to him as they walked up to Garmadon's monastery.
Once they entered the monastery, they saw a couple of kids playing with a ball until he kicked it to where the Ninja are coming in.
They all have gasped and started to run towards them. "Ah, at least there's some place left in this world I'm still considered cool," Cole said as he assumed the children were coming to greet them, only for them to run past them and over to Lloyd.
"Oh wow!" A girl shouted excitedly.
"It's the Ninjas of Yin & Yang!" A boy said in awe.
"Nope, still totally lame," Jay joked as the Ninja went over to the children and they all were excited to see them as well.
Then walking out of the Monastery were Susan and Nao, wearing green and black robes like Misako's, only a less fancy.
"Lydie, Ninja, you came!" Susan cheered as she and Nao rushed up to them happily.
"Aunt Susan and Aunt Nao." Lydie said happily as her aunts came up to her while hugging each other. "I haven't seen you two in a long time. I was worried you might've been in the city." She added.
"We moved out while the City was under construction," Susan explained, "Seeing how many times it was under attack and all the technology and futuristic things there, we needed to get back to nature. So your father helped us set up the Monastery as a new orphanage village for the young." She said with a smile.
"For a dark lord, he is certainly a gentleman." Nao giggled.
Lydie gave a chuckle. "That's my dad. He's willing to make up for his past mistakes. And you two do know that he's married, right?" She asked with an embarrassed smile.
The two woman chuckled, "Don't worry, your mother has already delivered the message to us." Susan assured, "And you know we'd never steal another woman's man, if either of us were interested in men." She added while holding Nao's hand as they looked at each other lovingly.
Lydie chuckled, "Sometimes I forget you two are into woman." She commented as they turned back to the children playing with the boys.
Nya looked with a far off smile as she looked to Jay giving the kids high-fives and Cole letting a girl ride on his arms as he flexed. "I recognize that look." Misako commented as she walked up to Nya.
Startled, Nya turned to Misako with an innocent look, "What Look?" She asked, "I wasn't looking!" She insisted.
"Two boys, one heart?" Misako guessed as she remembered her own conflict between choosing Garmadon or Wu.
Nya looked away, realizing she'd been caught, "Am I that obvious? What do I do?" She asked Misako before turning back to Jay and Cole, "Jay's the only one who makes me laugh, but Cole, Cole's not Jay." She said with a frown.
Misako smiled and place a hand on Nya's chest, "Deep in your heart, you know who the right man for you is Nya," She advised, "Trust the man you could see yourself with in the future."
Nya thought about this and turned back to Jay and Cole and smiled at the sight of them.
As Night fell, Zane sat alone with the Technoblades.
As he looked towards the Monastery, he thought of Pixal and worried if she was suffering under the Overlord's spell.
Inside the Monastery, the Ninja and Children were gathered in the Dojo and through the sliding screen they saw someone walking towards them, holding a staff…and had four arms.
The Ninja gasped, thinking it was Lord Garmadon until the skrill opened revealing a short servant man as he bowed to the human Garmadon, wearing black, green and gray robes, before moving away.
Garmadon looked ahead and saw his children, "Ah, My Son and Daughter," He smiled and walked inside, "So glad you could join us."
"Hey, dad." Lydie waved.
"It's been awhile." Lloyd said as he waved too.
Garmadon walked in front of the Ninja as Jay grinned and leaned close to Cole, "Check out the new sensei on the block," He whispered, "Looking sharp-"
"Silence!" Garmadon cut Jay off and whacked him on the head as the Blue Ninja moaned in pain and rubbed his head, "Close your mouth and open your ears." He instructed.
The others laughed at Jay, "Nice shot Garm," Susan commented from sides as Misako and Nao giggled.
Garmadon then walked towards his candle podium, "Tonight's lesson is the Art of the Silent Fist; To fight without Fighting." He said before turning to his wife, "Misako would you care to assist me?" He asked.
Misako smiled and nodded before walking up next to him, "Now, may we have two volunteers to help us demonstrate?" Misako requested.
The Ninja looked hesitant but the Garma-Twins seemed eager, "How about us?" Lloyd suggested, raising a hand.
"Yeah, been too long since I had a good fight." She said as she stood up and cracked her knuckles.
"The Ultimate battle, round two!" Nya cheered jokefull as he Garma-Twins walked up to their parents.
"Attack us!" Garmadon ordered before adding, "But please, no powers. We happen to like our new monastery." His joke had the other students laughing.
The lesson having begun, Lloyd charged at Garmadon, only for him to dodge causing Lloyd to crash into the wall, which made Lydie cringe in surprise. "You see, the key is balance and misdirection," Garmadon explained as he balanced his staff.
"Let your opponent fight themselves." Misako added as Lydie then charged at her only for the older woman to dodge her attack again before Lloyd tried to jump kick Garmadon before he moved to the side. The Garma-Twins then tried to attack their parents from behind but Garmadon and Misako dodged them again and flips them over onto the ground.
"Let your enemy tire themselves," Garmadon added as Lloyd tried a flying kick at Garmadon from behind as Lydie tried to kick in front of Misako. The two parents looked at each other with a smirk and let out a yawn before they easily ducked under their children kicks. In that brief moment, The Garma-Twins turned to their parent before they crashed face-first into each other and crashed on the floor as the others winced at that.
"Pupils, I gave you the two most powerful Ninja. in all the land, the Ninja's of Yin & Yang." Garmadon mocked as golden and obsidians dragons spun over the Garma-Twins heads and his pupils let out a laugh at them as the other Ninja face-palmed themselves at this sheer embarrassment.
The Garma-Twins got up as Lydie growled in anger and powered up her elemental powers as their parents turned to them when they saw it.
"Easy, dear." Garmadon eased his daughter.
"It's only a lesson." Misako added with a smile.
Lydie realize what she was doing as she stopped her powers. "Sorry, I don't know what got into me." She explained as Garmadon went up to her and place a hand on her shoulder.
"You let the anger take over, I know that feeling well." He said in remembrance to his own past before Misako approached with a smile and holding his hand. He smiled back before quickly getting to into sensei mode again, "Now! Let's divide into groups."
This all paired up, all trying the Art of the Silent Fist as they focused on dodging and countering attacks.
"Perfect." Garmadon said with smile.
Back with Zane, he looked down at the Techno Blades and saw that they were gone. He then looked behind the tree and saw a shadowy figure making off with the Techno Blades before he ran to catch up with the thief. He leapt through the trees and then pounced on the thief, making them drop the Blades.
He flipped the perpetrator over to reveal it was… "What? Pixal?" Zane said in surprise. "What are you doing here?"
"Discontinuing an old droid!" Pixal answered as she kicked him in the gut and moved to kick him again before Zane grabbed her leg.
"You may call me old, but not slow!" Zane told her as he threw the female droid into a tree.
They then heard an engine revving as appearing from path ahead was Seliel on with some rope as she drove around Pixal and tied her up as she screamed.
"The Techno Blades!" Kai shouted when they heard the scream before they all raced outside. They then saw Zane carrying the Techno Blades and Seliel pulling a tied up Pixal behind them.
"Who are they?" Misako asks, not recognizing Seliel and Pixal.
"It's Seliel and Pixal, but how did she find us?" Cole asked when he saw the two girls.
"How about we crack her open and find out?" Seliel suggested as she turns to Pixal and cracking her knuckles before Zane stopped her.
"Please, she was only doing what she was programmed to do," he explained before he picked up his Techno Blade. "She may hold many answers, but perhaps there is an easier way."
When his Blade activated, Garmadon grew worried. "N-no, I-" He tried to stop Zane only to be stopped by Jay.
"Ah-ah-ah! Relax." Jay assured the former lord, "Ain't a weapon, only hack into things."
Zane tapped the tip of the blade against Pixal's forehead as she was covered by Zane like particles and then her eyes turn green.
Pixal gasped in surprise. "Where am I? Why am I tied up?" she inquired as Fluttershy approached her while Zane untied her
"You were under control of the Overlord," He explained. "But how did you find us?"
"They've mined Sensei Wu memories," Pixal explained. "The Overlord knows all of your hiding places."
"My brother. Is he, is he okay?" Garmadon asked in concern while Misako looked just as worried.
"Yes, but the Overlord wants your children." Pixal told him. "Their powers of Light and Darkness, are the only way he can escape the digital realm and become real."
"So that's why he wants us, but they gave these Techno Blade to boys to protect?" Lydie asked.
"Yeah, why are they so important?" Kai pressed on while activating his own Techno Blade.
"Because together they can reboot the Borg Tech system, wipe the master computer clean, and destroy the Overlord, for good," Pixal explained as the others whispered in amazement before she let out a gasp of realization.
Nya grew worried. "What is it?" She asked.
"I just realized I didn't come alone," Pixal told them.
"Eh, who else is with you?" Seliel asked.
"Nindroids." Pixal answered.
"Nindroids?!" They all shouted as they looked around frantically for them.
"Where are they?!" Jay "I don't see any of 'em!" He added as they kept their guard up.
Suddenly a black, silver, and purple Nindroid with red eyes appeared on the roof, drawing a sword and laughing as more surrounded them.
"Nine vs eighteen Nindroids. Probability of survival too low to quantify." Pixal calculated as the Ninja put up their masks over their mouths before they charged into battle.
Kai tried to throw a kick at one of them, but it quickly caught his kick and pushed him to the ground.
Zane tried to swing his Techno Blade at one of them before it kicked him into the air and over some rocks.
"These Nindroids are so much faster!" Jay complained as he used his Techno Blade to block one of their attacks before he was punched in the face by another.
One of the Nindroids tried to kick Landrush, but he quickly Dodge him. "Nice kick, now see mine! NINJA, GO!" Cole shouted as he did Spinjitzu and knock a couple of Nindroids away. A bunch of them were charging at Garmadon from both sides before he used his bamboo stuff to dodge them and they bumped into each other.
The Nindroid then advanced on Zane as he raised his blade to defend until two more Nindroids appeared and restrained him before they all dogpiled on him. Lloyd saw this and powered up to blast them away before Misako stopped hin, "No son! Your power will only strengthen them!" she reminded him.
"NINJA, GO!" Lloyd shouted as he jumped down and did Spinjitzu to knock away the Nindroids on Zane. He then helped up Zane with a part of his face damaged from the attack. A bunch of Nindroids were approaching both Nya and Seliel before they fired lasers from their eyes. Nya quickly took out two metal fans and reflected each blast back at them as Seliel kicked and punch a few away.
More Nindroids appeared above the cliffs of the waterfall as they stared flying towards them as they ejected their wings while crackling evilly.
"There's too many of them! We can't fight them all!" Seliel cried out as she back kicked one.
"Seliel's right!We need to get out of here!" Nya said as they all ran into the dojo with the Nindroids right on their tails.
"We've got you now!" a Nindroid shouted as they made their way towards the side of the monastery next to the waterwheel.
"Anyone want to clear a path?" Jay asked as Cole got an idea by looking at the waterwheel.
"I have an idea, but you all have to trust me," Cole told them.
As the Nindroids advanced the waterwheel came loose and rolled away, picking up some of the Nindroids. It jumped over, flinging the Nindroids out before crashing in the forest, where the Ninja parked their vehicles. Then suddenly in the sky, Kai's Jet and Zane's Hovercopter took off while Jay's Raider, Cole's Mech, and Seliel's Trike rolled after them.
"Don't let them get away!" a Nindroid ordered as the others hopped onto their vehicles and chased after what they assumed were the Ninja. One Nindroid with black armor on while driving a tank and a few missiles straight towards their vehicles before firing at them. The missiles soon landed and the vehicles were forced to stop as they all crashed landed.
Back at the disconnected waterwheel, our heroes emerged from it after they successfully tricked the Nindroids. "It won't be long until they figure out we use autopilot. We should get a move on." Cole suggested as they all exit the waterwheel.
"I'm going with you." Garmadon spoke up. "If the Overlord wants my children, I'm not letting them out of my sight."
"Then I'm coming too." Misako said, walking forward before she put a finger to Garmadon's lips when he was about to argue. "No argument, they're my children too and after waiting this long to get you back, I'm not wasting this chance to adventure with my family again." She told him with a smile.
Garmadon gave a small sigh as he shook his head with a fond smile. "You were always one for the thrill of adventure. So as you wish dear." He said as Misako smiled sweetly at him as she kissed him on the lips for a sec before breaking off.
"Me and Neo will stay and look after the Monastery while you're all gone." Susan said as she and Neo came up to them once the Nindroids left.
"We'll keep them safe while you and the mistress are gone, Master Garmadon." Nao promise as the two bowed to him.
Garmadon nodded with a smile, "Thank Naomi, and please it's just Garmadon." He told Nao as she and Susan walked back to the monastery as the others were about to continue on with their journey.
"Wait! If the Overlord wants me, Lydie, and the Techno Blades are the only thing that can stop him, shouldn't we split up? Just in case," Lloyd suggested.
"Split up?" Lydie asked in concern. "I don't know, Lloyd. That might make us easier targets." She said uncertainly.
"That's actually a great plan," Nya told Lydie. "Zane's Falcon knows the secret location of my Samurai X Cave. You two and your parents go there and take what you need to get as far away from us as possible."
"Secret cave?" Jay asked surprisingly. "I thought we knew everything about each other."
"Well, a girls's gotta have her secrets," Nya told him with a smirk ns hands on her hips.
Lydie smirked, "Heh, I think you have one too many secrets," She said leaning close to Nya, "Secrets that may or not lead you into some breezy situations?" She teased as Nya flinched.
Nya then scowled with a blush, "I thought we agreed never to speak about that again." She said curtly.
"Hehehe, sorry Nya, but sometimes it happens to the best of us." Lydie said on behalf of her and her mother.
"It's true." Misako smiled in agreement.
Seliel then got an interesting look. "And a secret cave hideout, kinda like my secret caches around Ninjago." She commented.
"Wait, you have a secret caches?" Cole asked in surprise.
"What? You think me being a Ninja without powers that I wouldn't have the cool gadgets stored everywhere? A girl's gotta be prepare for anything." Seliel said with a smirk.
"Amen to that, sister." Nya said as she, Seliel and Lydie high-fived each other.
"Aside from that, what are you guys gonna do?" Lloyd asked, getting back on topic. "Those Nindroids aren't gonna let you step on foot into the city." He pointed out.
"Yeah, Nya. What are we gonna do?" Jay asked again.
"We're gonna shut down the power." Nya said with a determined smile.
Seliel smirked, "Okay, now I really like this girl." She said jerking a thumb to Nya.
Jay looked at Seliel in confusion. "What do you got against machines?" He asked in wonder.
"I don't hate them. If I was, I would've scrapped those two bots over there by now." Seliel pointed out as she gestured a thumb to Zane and Pixal. "I just don't like how New Ninjago City relies too much on technology and not enough on it's own people and look what's happened because of it."
"You know, she does have a point." Kai said in agreement. "I mean, people really gotta stop relying too much on tech and also remember that we need to also rely on ourselves and the environment."
"Uh, I hate to break up this conversation, but I would suggest we leave before the Nindroids come back." Zane suggested.
"Yeah, we better go." Lydie said in agreement. "Good luck guys. And stick together." She said.
"We will." They all said as the Garmadon family and the Ninja went separate directions to begin their missions.
Back at Borg Tower, the Overlord got a transmission from his Nindroids and they told him bad news. "What do you mean they're not there?!" he shouted with anger.
"We've been tricked!" One taller Nindroid with armor said as he stood in front of the flaming wreckage.
The Overlord growled in aggravation. "Your Nindroids have failed me, General Cryptor," The Overlord said as his vessel stood in front of a Massive mechanical creature, "But my next creation won't."
The creature powered up with glowing red eyes and spreading its metallic wings. "Systems are operational. Ready to receive further instructions," it spoke a deep voice.
Somewhere down a dirt road was a caravan of performers as the driver hummed happily as he then stopped at a Nindroid checkpoint as he stopped as the Nindroids went in and inspect the caravan.
After a few minutes, a Nindroid check a box as a magician chuckled a bit. "Heh, no ninja. Wanna check up my sleeves?" He joked as he raised his arm.
The Nindroid shook his head in annoyance as he exit the caravan and went to the driver. "You can go!" He said to the driver.
"Thank you." The driver said as he went through the checkpoint.
Back with the Magician, he tapped on the magic box as it opened and one by one, Kai, Cole, Jay, Nya and Seliel climbed out of the box but not before a clown appeared and honked his horn at Seliel.
Seliel frowned out at the Clown and stepped out, "I will never understand how these magic boxes work." She commented.
"Years of practice, young lady." The magician answered. "We can get you just outside the Storm Farms, but you'll have to get to the Power Substation on your own. Good luck and abracadabra!" He waved his wand as he and the clown disappeared into a puff of smoke.
Jay coughed from the smoke as he waved it away. "Show off." He said.
"Seriously, how do they do that?" Seliel asked as they all turned to Nya. "Okay warrior girl, so you think we can destroy this Overlord guy and his army of rustbuckets just by flipping a switch at the Storm Farms?" She asked with a raised brow.
"Cripple them, yes," Nya told her. "Destroy, no. Once we've powered down his army, we still need to reboot the Central Computer with the Techno Blades. And don't forget, since he knows we have them, they aren't just going to let us waltz in."
"Whooa, whoa, whoa, wait a minute, if shutting down the power turns off everything connected to it, wouldn't that mean Pixal too?" Jay asked since Pixal is also connected to the power source and if they turn it off, so will Pixal
The Ninja realized that she was right and knew that if Zane knew this, he would not have been willing to go along with the mission. "Well, if Zane hasn't figured it out, nopony tell him," Cole ordered. "If we're going to stand a chance against these Nindroids, we need to be on our best."
The others nodded before Kai noticed that Zane wasn't with them, "Speaking of Zane, where is he?" he wondered.
"I think I saw your friend go around back so Pixal can fix him up." Seliel answered. "He was pretty banged up."
In the back, Pixal placed a piece of Zane's face back on before a bunch of tools came out of her hand and she started to fix the rest of him. "Thank you for repairing me," Zane told her. "I guess an old Nindroid like me is no match against the newer models."
"This is just one of my primary functions," Pixal responded. "Gratitude is not required."
As Pixal was preparing to begin Zane's repairs, the ice ninja noted her clothing.
"If I may ask, why do you wear your clothing with your arm exposed like that?" Zane asked the female robot.
Pixal turned to him, "Why do you ask this?" She inquired.
Zane looked sheepish, "I just find it surprising you would be programmed to be comfortable dressed in such a way." He explained.
Pixal looked down at her purple clothing and turned to Zane quizzed, "You believe it is inappropriate for me to be in attire?" She asked.
"N-No! No, I just never known any female comfortable with that much exposure of herself." Zane reasoned as he tried to not hurt Pixal feelings.
Pixal seemed to come to understand, "So you believe my physical structure is not at an appropriate visible." She concluded before nodding, "I see, allow me rectify this." She said as she then grabbing the edge of her clothing and lowered them as she showed her robotic chest to Zane and then pulled down her pants.
"Gah! Wh-what are you doing?!" Zane exclaimed in embarrassment as she folded her clothes before she showed her robotic body to Zane.
"I am showing my full structure to you, as you are wondering how a feminine droid like myself is built." Pixal answered, her body had the same white metal plating and purple circuit board markings, though she lacked the private parts a human girl would have. "Is this what you were expecting?" She asked.
"Uh-Uh?" Zane stammered while looking at Pixal's sleek bare structure. "Uh, it is not what I expected, b-but it's rather extraordinary." He said nervously as Pixal nodded at him.
"Thank you. Now let's continue your repairs." Pixal said as she then opened up her arm again as she brought out her tools and continue to repair Zane, while forgetting her clothes while Zane looked at Pixal, not taking his eyes off her.
"A-aren't you gonna put your clothes back on?" Zane asked slowly.
"After I repair you." Pixal answered. "I thought if I repair you now, it will be quicker for you to be operational. I'll put on my attire after the repairs." She said as she continued to fix Zane as he kept looking at her.
She retreated her hand when she was surprised to see something where his power core was. The panels opened wide, revealing a glowing stone made of neither magic or any other substance. "Fascinating," Pixal said, retracting her tools back into her arm.
"What is it?" Zane asked.
Pixal reached out for the stone. "Your power source. It's...an energy I am unfamiliar with," she said before looking at Zane curiously. "Your father built you with spare parts and rudimentary technology, yet this piece is unique. Perhaps if I take a closer look." She then reached out to touch it but released some electricity that seemed to have hurt Zane and some of the energy traveled up her hand.
Pixal moved her hand away and turned to Zane as she felt something, unfamiliar built up inside her, "I'm sorry. I caused you pain," she apologized as Zane was surprised to see actual emotion on her face. "I was curious to understand why you are so different."
Zane then reached out and hold her hands. "We are all different," Zane told her as she was pulled in close. "But I don't feel so different around you."
"I am not different," she said when she pulled her hands back, acting like her pre-programmed self before she touched his power source. "I am Pixal, the Primary Interactive X-ternal Assistant Life-form. And your repairs are complete." She then closed his chest panel up as she went up to her clothes and puts them on again as she then walked away from him.
But as she walked away, she felt the strange something inside her again. She had hoped she had not offended Zane and was beginning to worry about her creator. These new sensations were confusing her and even making her...afraid, as she placed a hand to her heart. "What is happening to me?" she thought aloud.
Somewhere in the desert, the Garmadon family fallowed the Falcon all the way out there until they reached a large dragon skeleton.
Lydie then saw something on the skeleton as she notice a button with a familiar symbol. "The Samurai X symbol." She said to them as she walked up to the button and press it, causing the mouth of the dragon's skull to rise open.
The group walked over to the mouth and saw a staircase leading downwards. The Falcon landed on Lloyd's arm as they descended downwards. When they got to the bottom, they were surprised to see a bunch of suspended platforms holding the Ninja's Vehicles on either side of a walkway traveling up to computer desk.
"Whoa! Nya sure put in the last 2 years to build this place." Lloyd said in awed. "Maybe I should've been a Samurai instead." He said with a smile, feeling a bit jealous that Nya has the cool stuff.
"Was this is something you would've done, mom?" Lydie asked her mother in amusement.
"Not like this, but similar." Misako answered with a smile.
Garmadon walked up to a large red tarp, removing them to reveal a large vehicle that is made for three with a mounted turret on the top. "Why must everything have so many weapons?" Garmadon complained.
"Says the very man who traveled across realms to gain four arms in order to possess the Four Golden Weapons." Misako teased her husband, giving him a playful hip-bump.
Garmadon let out a small chuckle before realizing she was right, "I deserve that one," He admitted before stopping Lloyd from getting in the driver seat of the first vehicle. "I swore off fighting, not driving." He said looking at the driver seat eagerly.
The Garma-Twins looked at their mother. "Was Dad a good driver before he was evil?" Lydie asked.
"To be honest, whether good or evil, he was always a roadster." Misako muttered with a chuckle.
Speeding out the back tunnel were the car drove off with the Garmadon Family are in.
"Yeehaw!" Garmadon cheered as they jumped a ramp.
"So, where to now?!" Lloyd asked as they flew over a crevasse.
"As far away as possible!" Garmadon and Misako answered as they landed on the other side and kept on rolling.
Back on the caravan, Cole was reading a comic on 'Starfarer' to pass the time as Nya came walking by while holding a newspaper to hide her face from him since she was still shook up by the perfect match.
Cole notices Nya walking by. "Hey, Nya, how are our kids?" He asked as she jumped and dropped her newspaper.
"Ours kids!? Why would we have kids?!" Nya sputtered as she grew nervous. "Heh, wee're not even married let alone have-"
Cole lowered his book and looked at her, "I meant our students, weirdo." He said to her sarcastically. "Ever since we left the school, I'm worried for them."
"Oh, Dareth's looking after them." Nya said embarrassedly as she looked around to see no one around as she spoke and sat down on the table. "You know, Cole, you don't get the credit you deserve." She said as in her mind she knew Jay would never forgive her for this.
"What do you mean?" Cole asked in confusion as he lowered his comic.
"I mean, you always put others ahead of yourself." Nya said with a smile as Cole looked at her. "I know Lydie and the other boys get all the attention, but I just want you to know, you're a good guy."
Cole looked at her in surprise, "Whoa, Nya I never expected this from you." He said.
"What do you mean?" Nya asked.
"I mean, I never thought of you as a cheat." Cole said with a frown.
Nya went wide-eyed from that. "A, a cheat?!" She asked nervously.
"Nya, from what I can tell, you've somehow been seeing me more than a friend, when you and Jay have been going out for years." Cole pointed out with a suspicious look. "And you talking to me like that sounds like you're cheating on him. What gives?"
Nya looked nervously as she tapped her fingers for a bit before she sighs. "You remember when we split up during the field trip at Borg Tower?" She asked.
"You mean before the Overlord revealed himself when he attacked us?" Cole asked with a brow.
"Yes, well, during the trip, we found a Perfect Match console when the girls wanted me to try it out." Nya started.
"What's Perfect Match?" Cole asked in confusion.
"It's one of the latest consol Borg Industries made. It find your perfect romantic partner with flawless results." She explained.
"Really? And let me guess, it was Jay, right?" Cole guessed with a smirk, but the frown on Nya's face revealed otherwise. "Wait, Jay wasn't your perfect match?" He asked in surprise.
"No, he wasn't. It was… you?" Nya said nervously.
"What the-Me!?" Cole sputtered in shock as Nya nodded. Cole processed this before sighing, "Look Nya, I appreciate you think I'm all that and I definitely think your an awesome girl but…Your my friend, and that's all I'm gonna see you as, do you understand?" He asked gently.
"Yes." Nya said in understanding. "Just, don't tell Jay about what I just did and the perfect match thing, he's gonna flip." She pleaded.
"Nya, Jay's gonna find out sooner or later. You have to tell him yourself because if it's not you, things are about to go bad." Cole advised.
"Your right, and I will." Nya assured as she smiled at Cole, "Jay's lucky to have a friend like you, Cole. I hope you'll find your real perfect match someday."
"Don't worry, already got my eyes on one." Cole said with a friendly smile. "Just, don't tell Jay now, maybe after the Nindroid thing once we shut off the power."
"Don't worry. I will, even I know nows is the bad time to tell Jay." Nya said in agreement.
"Ha! Tell me what?" Jay asked in confusion as he and Kai came to them.
Nya jumped in surprise as she got nervous. "Uh…" She stuttered.
Kai looked at his sister in amusement. "Ah! Oh! Hope I didn't interrupt anything, cause we're here." He said as he and Jay smiled in amusement.
The Ninja were soon let out of the caravan once it reach their destinations as they are now in a large area with very big thunder clouds above them.
Then a bolt of lightning struck a transmission tower, causing Pixal to jump.
"Careful," Zane said as he eased her. "They farm the electricity that's in the air. This is where all of Ninjago gets its power."
Kai then looked up as he saw the main tower. "Looks like we have a welcoming party." He said as he saw a bunch of Nindroids at the tower.
"Then let's send this rustbuckets to the junkyard." Seliel said as she brought a doubled bladed glaive.
"The only chance we have of getting in there is to stay out of sight." Nya whispered to them as she stopped Seliel. "There's no way we can take them all on." She stated.
"Aw man." Seliel muttered.
"You mean we gotta be ninja for a change?" Jay asked excitedly. "Woo-hoo!"
Pixal then spoke. "I'll stay back. I'm not built for stealth and cannot assist you." She said.
Zane then held Pixal by the shoulders. "Be safe and stay out of trouble. I'll see you later."
On the power station, General Cryptor was surveying his troops. "Keep your eyes out for Ninja," he ordered his troops. "The Overlord says they are sure to be coming." He stopped when he noticed one of his Nindroids was the size of a boy.
"Look at you, last one off the factory line?" Crypto asked the small Nindroid. "Ran out of metal, eh?" He then playfully patted the small Nindroid's head. "I will call you, Min-Droid." He then walked away laughing.
"Very funny, sir!" Min-droid said with an insulted tone, even though his voice sounded young. He pouted as the rest of the troops laughed as well.
Down below the Ninja and Nya were hanging from below. They then jumped up and ran to the door.
Thunder opened the control room door and looked inside. "The coast is clear," he said as they all rushed in.
Nya then pointed to the energy beam in the glass tube. "That's the Sub-station's core. We shut that down, and it's lights out for the Overlord," She said as she and the the others look around in concern. "Now if we only knew which switch." She said as they all look around.
They all started to press some buttons to see if which one is the off switch before Jay hit one that turned on the radio that played The Weekend Whip.
"Hey, I love this song," Jay whispered to the others as he moved his head to the beat.
"Turn it off!" Kai told him. "They can't know we're here."
"Pfft. Buzzkill," Jay grunted as he turned off the radio.
"None of these buttons are doing anything," Cole told the others.
"Seriously, couldn't they just label the off switch?" Seliel asked as she press multiple buttons. "This is way more complicated then it needs to be." She commented as Kai approached the main energy tube. "There's gotta be an easier way."
"Yeah, like say, hack the system?" Kai suggested before striking the glass with his Techno Blade but it did not work, "Grr! Stupid technology!"
"This can't be harder than it looks," Cole said as he took out his Techno Blade and the chain extended out as he swung it around. The moment he struck the glass, there was no signs of penetration and he felt the rebound as he shook a little. "Okay, definitely harder."
Back outside, Min-droid dropped down from a ladder and started looking around as he started hearing the Ninja.
"Button, button, who's got the button?" Jay wondered as Min-Droid checked the wall.
'Be quiet!" Cole told him as Min-Droid noticed a vent.
He heard Jay scoff from it. "I am being quiet. You be quiet." And then a smack can be heard. "Ow!"
"How did you ever became a Ninja if you are so chatty? Seriously?" Seliel questioned. "Don't you know Stealth and Silence are the key elements to being a Ninja."
"Who made you a Ninja expert?" Jay questioned.
"She's not wrong, Jay." Kai spoke.
"Hey, who side are you on, Kai?" Jay sarcastically said.
Mini-droid then activated his comm, "Attention, all units. Intruders in the control room!" He shouted as all the Nindroids were alerted.
General Cryptor then glared. "Ninja!" he said as they all headed for the door.
Down below Pixal peaked out and saw the Nindroid grouped outside the entrance to the control room, "The Ninja have been discovered," Pixal said as she and the others peeked behind a rock and saw the Nindroids gathering in front of the main control room door. "Operation probability of success to affecting outcome by-" Pixal then felt that feeling inside of her yet again as she had a look of annoyance of what she's saying. "Oh, who cares about probability?" She asked herself in annoyance as she ran towards the tower and a grappling hook came out of her right hand as she shot it to the railing.
The Nindroids lines up outside the door as Min-Droid pointed to it. "They're in there, sir! They're in-ACK!" He yelped as Cryptor punted him away.
"Knock-knock," Cryptor mocked as he prepared to open the door. Pixal launched the grappling hook and swung her way on to the control tower before she accidentally stepped on a laser tripwire to sound an alarm when she landed.
The got the attention of General Cryptor and the other Nindroids as he then fired his laser as Pixal jumped out of the way.
Back inside, alarm lights were flashing as the alarm was sounded and Nya quickly turned on the security cameras to see what was happening outside. "Nindroids, our cover is blown!" She warned the others. "Seal the doors and find a way to shut it down!" She added before Zane noticed the camera.
"Pixal?!" Zane asked in a worried tone "Don't lock the door yet! I'm going out there!"
"Are you crazy?!" Thunder asked. "We barely fixed you up the last time you fought them!"
"You didn't fix me, She did!" Zane retorted as he rushed out the door and Min-droid tumbled in before it closed.
"Halt, intruders!" he said, drawing his sword.
"Oh great, now they come in fun size!" Jay retorted.
Far away from New Ninjago City Garmadon had come to a stop for a nice water break as Lydie was filling up some canteens with water from a nearby river while Lloyd just sipped from it.
In the car, Garmadon yawned and leaned back with his arms behind his head while Misako laid on his chest, "Reminds you of our date, doesn't it?" Misako asked her husband, "No battles, no land in jeopardy, just us and simple peace and quiet."
"Indeed. Makes me wish we didn't have to keep encountering danger." Garmadon said with a smile.
"True, but when have you ever run away from a fight?" Misako asked with a teasing smirk and drawing and circle on his chest.
Garmadon thought for a moment as he gave a chuckle. "Heh, touche. But after being purged from evil, I'm willing to never fight again." He said as he brushed his wife's hair. "But for you, I will always endure." He vowed as they kissed.
As Lyide finished filling the canteens and drinking some water herself and Lloyd finished sipping before they saw something in the water's reflection. "Huh?" They asked in shock as the saw the Mechanical Dragon.
Garmadon and Misako broke the kiss as they look up and saw the Mech Dragon as well, "The Overlord found us." Misako added in worried as she sat in the back seat quickly.
"Children, we need to go, Now!" Garmadon told the Garma-Twins as he opened the hatch as he turned to his children.
The Garma-Twins then rushed to the car as the Mech Dragon was able to detect them. "Target Ninja of Yin & Yang confirmed. Initiate capture-and-contain protocol." It said as it flew down towards them.
The Garma-Twins made it to the car as Garmadon tried to get it started. "Come on, start, start!" He demanded as the engine just wouldn't work.
Lydie and Lloyd nodded to each other and Lloyd used his power to start up the car as they drove away.
But no matter how fast they went the Mech Dragon was still catching up to them. "He's gaining on us!" Lloyd shouted.
"Can't we go any faster, Dad!?" Lydie questioned.
"Well, maybe this thing has an afterburner!" Garmadon assumed before he pressed a button on the console and the chair that Lloyd was on turn around and fired a blaster at the MechDragon. "Curse these weapons!"
"Well, it was effective." Misako stated with a smile.
They then saw the MechDragon ready its own boosters, speeding up as it charged towards them.
Back at the Stormfarms, Zane then rushed towards the Nindroids.
"NINJA, GO!"Zane shouted as the did Spinjitzu and knock back a few Nindroids the railing on the control tower. Zane then stopped and duck one of the Nindroids' sword swipe and kicked it off before he got punched by another and punched him back and over the rail as he punched another one multiple time as really hard as he finished off with a hard headbutt as the Nindroid short circuited as it sparked up electricity as it fell to the floor.
Zane then looked at Cryptor, holding Pixal with her purple clothing torn up from the fighting as she screamed in fright.
Zane took out his Techno Blade and charged at Cryptor in rage but just when swung Cryptor caught it in his hand and turned to him, "My older brother, Zane the Original Nindroid," Cryptor mocked as Pixal struggled against his hold, "You're nothing more than a crazy old man's tin can with feelings." He slandered as he pushed Zane's Techno Blade back as Zane struggled.
Zane pushed back a bit, "Don't talk, about, my father like that!" He demanded before Cryptor tossed him over his head as Zane screamed when he hit the floor. Luckily, his Techno Blade fell to the other floor as Zane looked down at it before he turned to Cryptor.
Cryptor then tosses Pixal to the wall as she grunted on impact as she fell to the floor. Cryptor drew his swords as he ran at Zane. Zane took a swipe from his swords as he punched one off his hoof and hit Cryptor in the head many times, making Cryptor drop his other sword.
Cryptor then got his bearings as he headbutted Zane's head and then air kicked him with one of his hind hooves, which made Zane roll across the floor as he landed flat on the ground.
Cryptor casually walked to Zane as he turned invisible.
"Zane ! Watch out!" Pixal cried out when she saw Cryptor turn invisible.
As Zane stood up, he felt punches on his body and got his head hit to the wall many times as he fell to the floor as he groaned in pain.
"Welcome to the future," Cryptor said menacingly as he turned visible again in front of Zane.
In the control room, Nya pressed as many buttons as she could, trying to find the right one to shut off the power, but nothing worked so far. Behind her, the Ninja and Seliel were keeping Min-Droid busy as they backed up to the power controls as Min-Droid spun around with his sword and right for them.
"Hack him with the Techno-Blade." Kai said to Cole.
Cole tried to hit Min-Droid with his Techno-Blade, but Min-Droid kept spinning as he blocked the Blade with his sword.
"Argh! I'm trying!" Cole called out as he retracted his Blade. "I gotta hand it to the little runt, he doesn't know when to quit." He commented.
Min-Droid stopped spinning and faced Cole, "Quit?!" He demanded before firing a laser at the Ninja.
Cole jumped away from the laser as it hit the glass, which caused it to crack. "That's it," Kai called out after seeing Min-Droid's blast hitting the glass, having an idea. "Fight without fighting!" he said to the others, remembering Garmadon's lesson on the Art of the Silent Fist.
"What?" Seliel asked in confusion.
"This is no time for a lesson, Kai!" Jay retorted, not getting the plan.
Without explaining, Kai got in front of Min-Droid. "Hey, half pint! Over here!" He called out as he shook his butt in front of him. Angry at that remark, Min-Droid fired another blast at Kai. "Whoa!" He called out as he dodged the blast, landed next to Cole the glass cracked some more. "We need to provoke him more," he said to the others.
"Or more Nindroids," Cole suggested, having an idea as he turned to Nya as he, Seliel and Kai got up. "Nya, open the door!" He called out to her.
"I see where you're headed," Nya said with a smirk, knowing the plan as she ran to the door and opened, letting the other Nindroids inside as she trotted out of the way.
Many of the Nindroids got inside as they started blasting at the Ninja, who were dodging their attacks as they made sure their blasts hit the glass, which started to crack some more as the blast fire continued.
"It's working!" Nya called out happily that the plan is working.
"Keep up the pressure!" Seliel called out as she kept dodging the lasers.
Back with the Garmadon Family, they were still trying to lose the Mech Dragon as it keeps following them as their car's speed was deep in the red, but still can't lose it.
Lloyd turned and saw the MechDragon coming in close. "Look out!" he called out to the others.
The others turned and saw it coming in close to them.
"Duck!" Lydie called out as Lloyd ducked from the MechDragon's spinning blades, missing their heads as it broke off a piece of each of their flag on the vehicle as it flew up and got right behind them again, still hot on their tails.
"This is why I took an oath of peace!" Garmadon retorted as he tried to shake it.
"Never mind that, just keep driving!" Misako urged as Garmadon tried to gain more speed.
Back at the power station, the Ninja keep dodging the Nindroids blasters as the core's glass was nearly broken.
"Take this!" Min-Droid called out as he jumped and tend to kick Jay, but he dodged the kick by moving aside, making Min-Droid break the glass as he went into the core. The droid was lifted into the air and spun around at a fast pace as the Ninja and the other Nindroids watched on. Min-Droid soon glowed brighter as electricity surrounded him. Soon, he stopped spinning as he realized what he did and what was going happen next.
"Uh-oh!" he called out as the core explored, sending a feedback wave throughout and beyond the station, powering everything down.
But not just the station, as the blast rolled throughout all of Ninjago.
With the Garmadon Family the wave hit them as they saw the Car's systems shutting down, "What's happening?" Lydie asked in worry as they slowed down.
The Mech Dragon also felt the surge as it started losing power too, "Warning, critically system power failure, all systems deactivating nooowwww…." The Mecha Dragon then went offline and crashed down in front of the Garmadon Family's car.
"The Ninja shut off the power! They did it!" Misako announced happily as the Garmadon Family cheered on at their friends shutting off the power.
In New Ninjago City, the power went out as all the security mechs and hovercopters shut down as the hover copters fell to the floor.
The people of New Ninjago City came out of hiding when they saw the blackout and the machines shutting down, knowing that they are now safe as New Ninjago City is now in darkness, but at least safe from the Digital Overlord now that he was out without power for now.
Back at the power station, the others came out and they saw the rest of the Nindroids were offline. "Alright, we did it!" Kai shouted with excitement, but that excitement was short-lived when they saw Zane holding a bare Pixal close as she was slowly losing power.
"This is why I wanted to stay back," Pixal told him in a weak tone. "So you would not s-s-see this."
"You knew this would happen?" Zane asked her in shock.
"Your mission was important," Pixal replied. "I-I was not. I am to assist, I assisted." Her voice sounded all glitchy as she was losing more power.
"You're using up your reserve," Zane told her worryingly. "Don't say anything more until we find you more power."
"You've destroyed the only power source in Ninjago," Pixal reminded him. "Power will all be nonexistent." She then lifted up her hand and held onto Zane's. "We are not so different, are we?" she asked as she felt the strange feeling inside of her even though she's losing power and that feeling was becoming stronger. "We are compatible?" She asked with a loving warm smile.
"Yes, yes we are," Zane replied with a smile of his own before her hand let go of his and fell to the ground lifeless as her eyes went black after all her power was gone. The others walked over to comfort Zane at the loss of an ally.
Back with the Garmadon family, they climbed the powered down MechDragon as they look off into the distance. "Well the Overlord doesn't have power anymore." Lydie commented.
"So you think it's safe to go back?" Lloyd asked his parents, wondering if it's safe to return home and to their friends.
"I wouldn't be so confident, son." Misako said solemnly as she place a hand on Lloyd's shoulder.
"She's right. Your friends may turned off the power, but they still need to reboot the system," Garmadon agreed as they jumped off the Mech Dragon, "Until we know the Overlord is gone for good, we need to keep moving." He said as they started walking towards the sunrise.
"But, where are we going?" Lydie asked her father.
"Somewhere as far from the city and for you two to learn the full extent of your powers." Garmadon said as they continued down the road.
In Borg Tower, Wu felt his binds were gone as he fell from his holding chair and struggled to move before he heard the door open, "Dr. Borg?" He called.
The walking was a white figure with red eyes as it went up to the central computer and took the hard drive, which carried the Overlord Virus in it, out of the console, "Wait, no, you can't take that!" Wu called out as he reached out the figure.
The figure turned to Wu before it brings a rag and place it in his mouth. Wu tried to fight, but he was still weaken. Just before he lost consciousness, he saw the figure smirking down at him with a reptilian face and heard a voice he hadn't heard for a long time, "Your getting slow, Old man." The Figure said amusedly.
"P-Pythor…" Wu breathed out before went under.
