The Ninja finally made it to the city, landing in the streets. But they were shocked to find it completely deserted.
They walked out into the streets and look around. "What happened?" Kai asked.
"No power that's what happen!" Cole answered.
"Are we too late?" Zane worried. They decided to look around but then Kai pulled a trip wire and a mountain of cars collapsed in front of them.
"What the heck!?" Seliel shouted in surprise.
Then they heard the sound of angry people as they looked up to see a mob of people dressed in post-apocalyptic clothing holding makeshift weapons. "Outsiders must answer to the Postman!" A man shouted as he gestured to the mailman, who is wearing a commander's robe and a large ladle spoon in hand.
"Return, to SENDER!" He declared as the people cheered as Borg and Harumi came up behind them when he saw the Ninja.
"Ah, you finally made it!" Borg said in elation as Harumi helped push his wheelchair.
"Thank goodness, and please don't mind the people." Harumi said with slight smile, "Since the Blackout, everyone's gotten a bit bored with literally nothing to do, so they figured a little roleplaying would distract them."
"And their imagination knows no bounds," Borg complained as they went up to the group. They then saw a familiar face coming up to them and were surprised. "Pixal, amazing! You're... powered!"
"You and the Princess need to stay in character, Borg," The mailman called out as he hit his spoon ladle on his hand. "This is no fun if we're not all committed," he added, which earns a look from both Borg and Harumi.
"Oh, I show you committed if you all don't give us some privacy!" Harumi retorted before waving her arm to them, "Now shoo!" She ordered at the mob as the crowd grumbled from this, walking off and leaving the Ninja with Harumi and Borg.
"Now then, we have real problems to address," Borg added as he turned to Pixal with a smile as she walked close to her creator. "Pixal, what's powering you?" he asked, wondering how Pixal survived the outage throughout Ninjago.
Pixal came to Borg's side as she held his hand. "Zane gave me half of his heart," She answered as she turned and smiled warmly at Zane.
Cyrus looked to Zane gratefully, "Thank you, Zane, Pixal means more to me than I could ever explained" Borg said as he held Pixal's hand. "I am eternally indebted you," He added before he gave a worried expression. "Unfortunately, the Master Computer's hard drive was stolen with the digital imprint of the Overlord, you'll be unable to erase him with your Techno Blades."
"Borg told me what happened when I went to Borg's Tower on behalf of my Parents," Harumi said as she frowned in worry, "They're doing their best but, they've been unable to find the one who stole the hard drive."
"Meaning you'll be unable to erase him with your Techno Blades until we find it." Borg added.
The Ninja then gave small smiles as Jay spoke up with a wave of his hand. "Aw, don't worry, we already had a little run-in with the red-handed suspect. Or should I say,white-handed?" he brought the white scale, showing it to the two. "He left behind a white scale. Get this he's a Serpentine" he told them.
Harumi hummed in thought, "The Serpentine are back, huh? Well then you'll need to find them." She said before going to a manhole cover, "Foruntaly, while rebuilding the city, our workers discovered that Serpentine were all sealed in the Tomb of Stone Warriors beneath the city. You should be able to find them there."
Cole then smiled. "Then it's about time we pay them a little visit." He said as Nya climbed down first and then Cole.
"Approach with caution," Borg called out as he came next to Zaneand Pixal. "I've also lost a few valuable prototypes," he pointed out that most of his inventions and tech prototypes are missing along with the hard drive when he check what else Borg's Tower was missing. "Your suspect may be armed and extremely dangerous," He added in a worried tone.
Jay then called out with a smile as he was just about to enter the sewer. "We know, and just for the record," he said as he gave a fan stallion smile at Borg, "when those prototypes are made available to the public, could you let me know?" he asked as he climbed down to the sewers while the others gave him a small smile in amusement. "They're just the coolest gadgets," he finished as he climbed down.
"Oh for the love of…you are such a tech nerd." Seliel commented as she climbed in after Jay.
Kai then climbed down next as Zane and Pixal are the last one as Zane gestured Pixal to go before him.
Before Pixal could climb down next, Borg spoke out to her. "Uh, Pixal, where are you going?" Borg asked out in confusion as Pixal stopped. "Now that my assistant has an unlimited power supply, there's an infinite amount of good to be done," He said as he tapped his hands together, having some ideas for Pixal with her improved capabilities.
Pixal looked to Zane, knowing he needed her to fight at his fullest. He nodded as she turned back to Borg, "As you wish, Mr. Borg," Pixal said as she bowed with a small smile at her creator.
"And Zane, if you and the others see Lloyd and Lydie when you can, tell them that I worried for them." Harumi said to them, since she haven't seen Lloyd or Lydie in a while, she's been getting worried since she heard from the Nindroids that they've been hunting the Ninjas of Yin & Yang.
"We will, and don't worry Harumi, Lloyd and his family are somewhere the Overlord cannot find us." Zane assured with a smile.
"Good." Harumi said as she walked off with Borg.
Zane climbed down the hole, but stopped as he and Pixal gave each other longing looks as Pixal walked off with a raised hand, reaching Zane as she walked away to catch up to the two scientists as Frost watched her go as he closed the sewer hole after he climbed down.
As the Ninja descended down the ladder, Cole looked down at Nya. "Watch your step, Nya. We don't know the last time this ladder was used," Cole pointed out, not wanting one of them to get into accident.
Nya gave a smile at Landrush. "That's thoughtful of you, Cole," she said as she climbed down.
Jay heard that as he looked down a glare at Cole. "Hey! How about you watch where you're watching, Cole. Huh?" he questioned angrily.
And just then, Nya cried out in surprise as she felt two metal bars come off the ladder. She started dangling as she held onto the bar for her life. "Aah! Aah! Uh, guys? A little help?" she called out to the others as she kicked her legs as she held on.
"Jay, I'm just being thoughtful. I thought we moved pass this perfect match thing already!" Cole said in annoyance. "Besides, I've already got a lady!" He said without thinking.
Jay looked down in surprise by that. "You… already have a lady? Hah! Nice one, Cole! Just who is this lady?" He questioned.
Cole realizes what he said as he looked around nervously. "Uh, uh, I, it's, umm…?" He said nervously as he looked at Seliel and did something he was gonna regret. "It's Seliel!" He lied.
Seliel was caught off guard by this, "What?!" She said as she accidentally slipped fell, causing her to fall on Jay causing them to crash into Cole and then Nya.
"Aah!" Nya cried out as the four of them landed on the floor, with her on the bottom. "
"Oof!" They cried out as Kai and Zanelooked down as they heard bars clanging and as they realized what happened.
The four groaned in pain got up while Nya tapped her fingers on the ground in annoyance. "My, what a knight in shining armor," She said sarcastically as she pushed them off and stood up as Kai and Zane jumped down beside them.
Seliel then got her bearings as she sat up and look at Cole in slight anger. "Since when am I your lady?" She demanded.
Cole got nervous when he realizes what he said. "Uh, well, you see," He tried to say before pulling her close for only her to hear, "Look, if Jay knows I've already got a girlfriend, he'll drop this whole me stealing Nya thing, I had to say something!"
"But putting me into the picture? I know you two are friends, but you and I just met, right?" Seliel reminded, "This might be bad idea to get him to stop insulting you."
Jay then cleared his throat, "Well Cole, if you and your suddenly just-met Girl friend are legit, then you don't mind seeing a movie with me and Nya after this whole thing is over, do you?" He dared.
"Jay! You can't force Cole and Seliel into something like that!" Nya called out.
"Well it gives me a chance to see how well Cole can hold onto a girl who isn't you!" Jay argued as Seliel frowned.
"Hey! Watch it, Cole is ten times the boyfriend you could ever be!" Seliel yelled out, playing along with Cole's trick, "He not only strong, he's also sincere, responsible and extremely loyal!" She took Nya's fan and approached Cole, who was nervous about what she was gonna do, "So I have absolutely no problem when I do THIS!" Seliel then grabbed Cole by the shoulder, pulled him close and covered their faces from view with the fan.
The boys jaws dropped while Nya covered her mouth shock, thinking Seliel was kissing Cole behind the fan. "Whoa." Kai gasped as he shielded his eyes.
"How unexpected." Zane commented.
But little did they know she was having a face to face talk with him.
"Alright, I'll play along with this," Seliel whispered to Cole as she narrowed her eyes, "But remember Boulder Brains, you owe me big time for this." She warned him.
"Don't worry. I always keep my promises." Cole whispered nervously. "And besides, it was all I could think of at the time." He then blushed a bit, "Also, did anyone ever tell you that you have beautiful eyes?"
Seliel blushed a bit as she was surprised by Cole's question, not sure if he was acting or really telling the truth before she spoke. "Uh, thanks. Let's just get to the Serpentine already." She whispered as Cole nodded as she retracted the fan and turned them. "That answer your question Bluebell?" She asked Jay with a dull look.
Jay was shock by what he saw before he shook his head. "Uh, well, Yes?" He said uncertainly.
"Good, just name the time, place and movie then Me and Boulder Brains will be there." Seliel said before bringing out some glow in the dark rods, "Here, take these. They'll help us see down here." She told them, handing each of them a rod.
"Uh, thanks. So let's keep our eyes peeled and get back on track." Zane spoke as he gestured to the sewers. "Our mystery suspect could be anywhere down here." He said as they all began to start walking.
"The Serpentine, never thought I'd see them again," Kai commented as trekked through the directions Harumi showed them. "Let's hope Burmesia was able to make them our friends since we last saw them."
"We haven't seen her since she left to find her people during the Stone Warrior Attack." Nya noted.
"Uh, you guys to remember that she's an Anacondrai, right? She can turn invisible." Jay reminded them. "How do we know she isn't near us?"
"Uh, Jay, Burmesia is our friend. Why would she stay invisible near us?" Kai questioned.
"I'm just worried the Serpentine didn't turn her against us after these last 2 years." Jay worried as they kept walking as behind them they didn't see a pair of red eyes looking at them before disappearing into the shadows.
Meanwhile, in White Cloak's lab, he was currently typing on a computer as the Overlord looked down at him, "We know where the Ninja of Yin and Yang are, so why are we doing nothing about it?" the Overlord questioned with exasperation of all this waiting. "I must escape this wretched digital prison!" he demanded.
"Patience. The Ninja of Yin and Yang won't go down without a fight, and we've already depleted our Electro-Cobrai supply." White Cloak told the Overlord gesturing to the few Electro-Cobrai he had left. "Before we take their powers, we need more power of our own."
"Then find more!" the Overlord ordered. "Once I become physical again and rid the scourge that is the Ninja, I will walk Ninjago with the power to rule this world… and the realms beyond!" He declared.
"Don't worry," White Cloak said as he held out a pamphlet of an aquarium, which the front cover shows a shark and Electro-Cobrai on it. "I'm one step ahead of you," he said, having an idea on where to get more Electro-Cobrai.
With the Garmadon Family, they found themselves trekking through the jungle of Hiroshi's Labyrinth.
"Hiroshi's Labyrinth," Misako said as Garmadon parted some leaves. "Legend says no one has ever escaped its deadly maze except for Hiroshi himself."
"Yes, but the maze is no match for any of your powers," Garmadon told their children as they walked deeper. "This is the place to hide from the Overlord's clutches."
"Hide from the Overlord. That's all we've ever seem to do." Lloyd complained.
"I hate all this running and hiding. We beaten the Overlord with this power, and now we're running from him like cowards he thinks we are!" Lydie stated with her arms crossed.
"You're power of Light and Dark only strengthens his cause." Garmadon reminded them. "We must not lose sight."
"This isn't fair. We need these powers to beat him and for some reason when he returns, and when he wants them for himself we can't use it?" Lydie asked before looking away, "I miss our friends. I'm their leader, they need me."
"What good is being the Ultimate Spinjitzu Masters if we can never have any fun?" Lloyd asked looking away too.
Garmadon let out a sigh before placing a hand on Lloyd's shoulder. "The power needs to be protected, honored. Evil forces will seek it, try to take it from their own. It seduces. Even your friends may one day covet it."
Lydie then glared at her father. "Our friends would never hurt us!"
"Dear, they who hold the power has a tremendous obligation." Misako told Lydie gently, "You and your brother must be prepared to take this journey alone…even without us one day." She added, knowing that she and Garmadon weren't going to be around forever.
"Yeah, I know mom." Lydie with a sad look before looking to her mother in concern, "But just to be sure, are you…" She trailed off.
Misako smiled and brushed Lydie's cheek, "Don't worry sweetheart, I'm not going anywhere anytime soon." She assured.
"And neither am I." Garmadon said with a smile. "So keep your chins up, children. Legend also states there is a jewel inside the maze, the most beautiful oasis no one has ever seen before. Perhaps we will be the first." He said.
"Well, that would be cool." Lloyd said with a smile.
"As long as it has an amazing spot in this jungle maze, sure." Lydie said with a small smile before she frown again. "But still, the others never been without leader. They get along fine when I'm there as a buffer, but when they're on their own."
"Don't worry, I'm sure they're fine." Lloyd assured.
"Have you met them, bro?" Lydie asked with a brow.
Lloyd thought for a moment before he spoke. "Okay, good point. But they managed so far without us for so long, so have a little faith."
"I do. I'm just wonder how they are doing now." Lydie said as they continued through the jungle.
"I'm sure they are on the case of the serpentine suspect." Misako assured. "They are a great team after all."
"Yeah, that's true." Lydie said in understanding. "Okay, let's keep moving." She said as they kept walking forward.
Garmadon then sent a sly grin to Lloyd, "So tell me son, who is this Harumi your mother and sister have told me about?" He asked.
Lloyd stiffened as Misako and Lydie giggled as the boy groaned, knowing this was gonna be a long walk.
Back underneath New Ninjago City, the Ninja finally reached their destination. "The Tomb of the Stone Army," Kai said as they saw the door had several snake decoration on it. "It's been seeled since the Serpentine was trapped here." He stated.
Zane then approached the door, "It appears the seal has been opened." He noted before they heard whistling and turned around to see a familiar Hypnobrai slithering towards them, it was Skales.
Skales then saw his old enemies while he was dragging a bag. "Aah! Not you pessstsss again!" He complained.
"Skales. Something told me you'd be behind this." Cole said with a glare. "Search his bag!" He told the others.
Skales yelped as Jay took his bag while Kai restrained him, "Thisss isss harassssment! I've done nothing wrong." He insisted.
"Except steal the hard drive! Where is it? What are you hiding?!" Jay accused.
Jaybegan digging through the bag. "He's hiding... groceries?" he said in confusion and then pulled out a newspaper. "And the latest issue of Ninjago Times."
"What can I sssay? I like to keep myself updated on what goesss on above ground. Plus, I'm a big sssucker for the crosssssword," Skales said before taking his newspaper back. "Sssorry, but you've got the wrong sssnake. Guardsss!"
Then appearing around the Ninja were Anacondrai soldiers pointing their spears at them as they all yelped in surprise as they took in ready positions.
"Ah! I told you Anacondrai are closer than you think!" Jay cried out.
Skales slithered up to them, "Try anything, and I will have thessse find fellowsss dissspatch you, excessssively." He warned.
"Ssskaless!" They all turned to the door as slithering out was a familiar Anacondrai wearing gold armor and a crown, "What did I tell you about harassssing vissstorsss?" She demanded.
The Ninja recognized her voice, "Burmesia?!" The Boys and Nya said in surprise.
Burmesia then turned to them and recognized them too, "Ninja! Hello again!" She said with a smile as she turned to the soliders. "Ssstand down brothersss, they are friendsss." She ordered.
The Anacondrai troops hesitantly lowered their weapons, "Yesss, Queen Burmessssia." They said bowing to Burmesia, as she slithered towards the Ninja as she then grabbed Nya and Zane.
"Oh! It isss ssso good to sssee you all again!" Burmesia said as she gave Nya and Zane tight hugs, which they feel themselves being crushed.
"Nice, to see, you again, Burmesia." Nya said in breath from the tight hug. "And I see, your the leader of the Serpentine now."
Burmesia broke the hug as she look at them. "Indeed. I've found them sssometime back when the tomb wasss closssed. And when I opened it to free them, they welcomed me back with open armsss." She said before giving them apologetic look. "Sssorry for the less than warm welcome, the boysss are a bit jumpy around guessstsss."
"That isss true. It has been a while sssince we've revealed ourssselves to outsssidersss." Skales admitted. ""
"Daddy?" They all heard a young male voice called out as a young hypnobrai boy in a blue hoodie walk outside, "Are you okay?" He asked.
And then a familiar female magenta Hypnobrai slithered to the boy as she grabbed his shoulders. "Ssstay inssside Ssskalesss Junior!" She advised.
"Skales Junior?" Kai repeated as Skales slithered over to the two, "Uh, I didn't know you have son." He said in surprise.
"We've been busssy sssince we've been trapped down here," Skales explained as he slithered up to his family. "And we prefer to keep it that way."
"It hasss been yearsss, Kai." Burmesia pointed out. "We've been trying to keep to our own to avoid the threatsss of above."
"Isss thisss about the Golden Massster of Destrution?" Skales Jr asked in worried as he held onto his father. "Isss he going to hurt usss?" He asked in fright.
"That isss only a ssstory, ssson," Skales assured his son as he gave both children a comforting hug. "Thessse folksss were jussst leaving."
"Golden Master of Destruction?" Zane asked in confusion, as did the others. "Is this about Lloyd or Lydie?" He question.
"Like you humansss, we Ssserpentine have our legendsss," Burmesia told Zane, "But I guessss in oursss, you humansss are the bad guysss."
"What Legends?" Nya asked in wonder.
"Yeah, because we never heard anything about a Golden Master of Destruction." Seliel added.
Selma than turned to Burmesia and Skales, "They have a right to know." She said, "It'sss asss you sssaid your grace, if we're going to ssshed a new ssskin, we mussst open our home to othersss." She reminded Burmesia.
Burmesia nodded, "Yesss, I agree, any objections Ssskalesss?" She asked with a brow.
Skales knew he can't argue as he sigh. "No, of courssse not, your Majesssty."" He said as he and his family slithered back into the tomb as Burmesia smiled at him.
"Well, come along, Ninja. If you'd like to hear of the Curssse of the Golden Master of Desssstruction, follow me." Burmesia said to them as she slithered back into the tomb with her guards following.
"Other then Brumesia, I don't like Serpentine, but I don't like curses either," Kai said as he and the others followed after Burmesia. "But if this has anything to do with Lloyd or Lydie, we need to know." He added as they enter the tomb.
Somewhere in an aquarium in New Ninjago City, Dareth and the students entered the building as Dareth took them on a field trip.
"We may not have power, but we still have sharks!" the Owner announced to the students inside the aquarium. The students were cheering in excitement of this feel trip as Dareth stood in front of them.
"All right, everyone. Stay together, stay together. Come on now," Dareth announced to the students as they calmed down a bit.
Brad came next to Dareth while not being excited about this trip. "Why do we have to do our field trip at the aquarium?" He asked about this not-so-exciting trip before facing Dareth with a smile. "Can't we go to the Toxic Bogs, or anywhere else not so lame?" He questioned as he crossed his arms together.
"Because until your regular teachers get back from saving the world, I'm in charge and I have the responsibility of making sure nothing bad happens to you," Dareth explained while combing his hair before he put it away and faced the students. "Now, single file," he called out to the students and formed a line as Brad followed as Dareth leaned on the table as he spoke to the last student, a girl, in line. "Did I ever tell you I am fluent in the language of the sea?" he asked her with a smirk.
"Right, Mr. Dareth," the girl answered with a smile.
"That's Mr. Brown Ninja to you, Sally," Dareth said while looking at his hand as she shook her head and kept walking, with Dareth following her. But what he did not know was that the barrier gate somehow moved on its own after Dareth moved through.
In the tunnel of the aquarium, the students were looking at the fish in wonder before a shark showed up and tried to eat the fish which swam away from the shark while startling the students.
"Oh! And I thought Mr. Dareth had a big mouth," one of the students commented in surprise as his friend next to him nodded in agreement.
"I heard that," Dareth called out with a small frown after he heard that comment as he turned to the security guard next to him as he cleared his throat. "Ahem. Excuse me. Which way to the Electro-Cobrai Exhibit? I hear it's shocking," he asked as he nudged the guard with a small smile at his pun.
The security guard sighed, having heard this joke before, as he pointed to a direction. "That way," he told him.
Dareth smiled as he called out to the students. "All right, all right, my precious minnows. Come on. Follow me," he called out as he walked ahead as the students started making chattering noises in excitement.
Alas, they did not notice that White Cloak suddenly appeared out of nowhere right behind Dareth and his students as he moved close behind them.
The students made it to the Cobrai exhibit as they saw tons of Electro-Cobrai in their tanks. "All right!" one of the students called out in excitement.
In the tunnel, the security guard took notice of White Cloak, knowing that he was not part of the students' field trip and that he did not see him come in. "Hey, you! Come here," he called out, but before he could walk closer, White Cloak disappeared again, which shocked the guard. "Whoa! Oh! Shocking," he said in surprise as he pressed the alarm button, but then remembered there was no power. "Hm? Alarm! Alarm! Alarm!" he called out, making his own alarm as loud as he could.
Dareth and his students heard the guard's voice as they grew worried.
"What is it?" Sally asked in worried.
"The sound of danger," Dareth said as he got serious as he turned to the student. "Huddle near, child," he told Sally as the dragoness got close to Dareth for protection as White Cloak appeared in front of them, opening the drain hatch on the floor. Dareth saw White Cloak as he spoke. "Hey, you're not one of my students," he called out to the stranger as the other students turned and saw him.
"No. No, I'm not," White Cloak answered as he turned and faced Dareth and his students as he brought out a whistle and started blowing it in a high-pitched whistle.
Dareth and the other students all started screaming from that high-pitched sound, which made the glass of the tank behind them start to crack before it cracked open, flooding the room and allowing the Electro-Cobrai to swim out.
"Hold on, minnows! Hold on!" Dareth called out to his students as they all held onto some debris.
Below them, the Electro-Cobrai are going down the drain that White Cloak opened up as the sharks in the tanks start swimming out.
"Help!" Sally called out as she is across the room from her classmates as she was struggling to swim.
"I've got you, Sally!" Dareth called out as he dived down and started swimming towards Sally. The sharks noticed their presence as Dareth got close to Sally as he grabbed her and started swimming back to the other students. The shark swam up as it got closer to them while the students started yelling at the sight of the predator fish.
"Stay back, kids!" Dareth yelled out as he pushed Sally to her classmates as he swam closer to the shark as Sally screamed at it.
But just when the shark was about to eat Dareth, the stallion raised his hoof for it to stop with its jaw opened. Soon, Dareth started making various animal noises while making sign language as he then leaned back into the water before he raised up again. As he kept making the noises and gestures, this caused the shark to look at him before swimming away at a fast pace, which caused the students to cheered to Dareth for saving them from being eaten.
After swimming to the stairs as they got out, Dareth caught his breath from the adrenaline they went to as Sally stopped next to him. "Thank you for saving me," Sally thanked Dareth. "You really can talk to them, what did you say?" she asked in amazement as Dareth caught his breath.
"I told him, 'Leave the Brown Ninja alone, or else I'd be serving fish sticks.'" Dareth said to Sally as they walked out with the other students.
However, the school group and Dareth failed to notice that all the Electro-Cobrai were still going down the drain and through the tubes.
In the sewers, the Electro-Cobrai from the aquarium were going through a tube as filled a big tank as White Cloak looked at the tank.
"The heist is complete," White Cloak said to his two comrades next to him and the Overlord on the console. "We now have enough power to go after the Golden Ninja and the Council," he told his master.
"Good," the Overlord said in satisfaction as the two started laughing maniacally as their boat started moving through the sewers down a tunnel.
Down below the Ninja walked through the former Tomb of the Stone Warriors, which had been carved out into a massive underground village for the Serpentine.
"After we parted waysss when the Ssstone Army attacked, I learned my people were trapped down here after a brief ssscrap with thossse walking ssstatuesss." Burmesia explained as she directed them around the Village, "Sssince finding them, I've been teaching them to ssset assside our warring waysss, and build the utopia my father alwaysss dreamed of." She said as she gestured to the large statue of her father, General Arcturus in the center of town.
She then showed them the many areas of the town, "There'sss the ssschool of peaceful ssskill building," She gestured to some Serpentine talking amongst themselves.
"Your're not thugssss, you give hugssss," A male Hypnobrai said to the two Constrictais in front of him as he showed them how to hug.
"Try again. 'It will be our pleasssure.'" A Male Venomari said to Fangtom, teaching him how to talk politely.
"It would be…" One of Fangtom's heads started in a thick accent. "... our pleasssure," The second head finished.
"Remember what I taught you," A female Anacondrai said to two young Venomari boys, "The Ability to sssshare…"
"Isss the ssstrength to care." The boys finished as they exchanged toys.
Burmesia then gestured to another building with kabob carved on it, "Bittra's Mudnewt Shack," She introduced as they saw a Fanpyre with a chef's hand holding out some Mudnewt kabobs for them. "New recipesss everyday." She said, taking a kabob and eating.
The Ninja, except for Cole, cringe at that. "Seriously, how can people eat that stuff?" Jay questioned.
"Hey, Mudnewt is a popular dish all over Ninjago, Jay." Cole said as he took his own and took a bite, "It's not bad for something that lives under ground."
Seliel raised a brow and took her own before bitting into, rolling the pieces in her mouth before shrugging, "Not the weirdest thing I've eaten. But tasty." She commented.
"It'sss a very popular thing down here. Though sssometimesss we go to the sssurface to get sssome more food in the ssshadowsss." Burmesia stated as they continued the tour, "And of course, our all important Ssslither Pit, very popular sport on Fridaysss." She said as on the Arena floor there was Skalidor and an Anacondrai dueling out
Nya turned to Burmesia with a smile, "Gotta say Burmesia, this is a really cool place." She said, "But when did you become Queen of the Serpentine exactly?"
"Well, to be honessst, after our village was completed lassst year, my people all voted on who ssshould be our new leader and sssurprisssingly they voted for me." Burmesia explained while tilting her crown. "I wasss unsssure at first, but after all I've done to help my people they were confident I wasss the only leader worthy to lead them."
"Huh, wait until the Royal Familyhears about this." Cole said with a smile.
"So you got a few snakes to go straight doesn't mean there's not one bad apple." Kai said with a shrug. "Hypnobrai and Fangpyre have white scales, don't they?" He asked her.
"Well, a few." Burmesia confirmed. "Isss thisss about the missing hard drive you told me about?"
"It's much more than that I'm afraid." Zane explained.
"And why isss that?" Burmesia asked.
"It's about the Overlord." Jay answered.
"The Overlord?!" Burmesia said in surprise and shock by this, now understanding why they were looking for it. "Glad we weren't around for that messss," She remarked. "No, we have no desssire to meddle in the affairsss above. No ssserpent leavesss thisss village without my hearing of it."
"And asss you can sssee, we ssstick to our own," Skales said as he huddled closed with his family. "We only want what'sss best for the next generation." He said while placing a hand on his son's shoulder.
"And no ssserpentine hasss every ssstrayed from this path." Burmesia pressed on. "Usssually when we do go out we been out of ssssight for sssupply runsss in the sssurface. The Anacondraisss are known for our ssstealth."
"Huh, that is true, and make sense on where you get all these supplies from." Nya said in understanding.
Burmesia then brought them to a building that described their legends, "But for now, I think it'sss time you all underssstand the Curssse of the Golden Massster of Dessstruction." She said as they all took their seats around the fire pit.
Then slithering in were the five serpentine Elders, "Hello hatchlings, and camouflaged sssurface dwellerssss." The Hypnobrai Elder greeted, "Do you ssseek to learn of the cursssse of the Golden Massster of Dessstruction?" She asked.
"Tell me! Tell me!" Jay said excitingly with his arm raised.
The Venomari elder let out a chuckle as he approached the fire, "Everyone come closer." He said as he leaned closed to the fire before spitting his venom into it.
Along the walls, images dances from the shadows and lights of the fire, "When the First Spinjitzu Master created Ninjago, deep in the ground, he created the Serpentine." The Hypnobrai Elder started as an image of the First Spinjitzu Master, holding a sword, made a Serpentine rise up from the ground.
"Since the first dawn, our elders knew of the Curse of the Golden Master of Destruction, when he who had the powers equal to the First Spinjitzu Master would rise and usher in the last of the setting suns." The Venomari Elder continued as behind five Serpentine was a large shadowy figure wearing golden armor with a dark aura rose up behind him.
"With no equal adversary, his power will go unmatched. His destructive rule will change the face of the world, and he will not stop until every man, woman and every Serpentine are enslaved under his control." The Constrai Elder said as the five Serpentine ran away as the Golden Master of Destruction used their powers to destroy everything around him.
The Ninja listened to the story and were surprised by this legend. "Are they referring to Lloyd or Lydie?" Zane asked his friends in confusion.
They all shrugged from this as they are not certain. Sure, Lloyd had Golden Power and Lydie's power does come from destruction, but not completely sure if they are referring to them.
"The Serpentine tried to warn the land dwellers, but they wouldn't listen. They thought we were the enemy." The Fangpyre Elder explained as the Serpentine shadows were seen talking to some humans before they were chased off by thrown spears and stones as the Golden Master of Destruction rose up again. "Though we were only trying to prevent the propshey of the Golden Master of Destruction's Terrible reign."
And then the shadows then showed a defeated Great Devourer with some humans on top of it looking victorious "After the Great Devourer failed to scare the unbelievers below ground, it is we who retreated beneath the soil, promising never to return, even now that the end is inevitable." The Anacondrai Elder finished as the shadows showed the Serpentine locking themselves underground as the Golden Master of Destruction rose up one last time before the fire faded out.
At the top of Borg's Tower, in the top office, Borg patching a bare Pixal up into a control panel, placing a plug on Pixal's chest where the half of Zane's heart was installed.
"First patch into the mainframe…" Borg started as he carefully placed the plug on Pixal's chest. Once it is secured, Borg pressed a button as power from Zane's heart inside Pixal is being transferred into the panel. "Success! "Suppress bandwidth for wider connection…We have power!"He declared as he smiled at this as the panel powered up completely.
"By glory grace my office is clean, untouched by evil power!" Borg cheered happily as he gave a kiss on Pixal's cheek. "Thank you, Pixal," he thanked his assistant, who nodded with a smile.
"Now we can use this to track the Nindroid presence, and they won't see us coming." Borg said happily.
Pixal then had a thought in her head as she spoke. "Mr. Borg, you created me and gave me life. I belong to you," she started as Borg turned to her she continued. "Yet Zane… saved my life," she said as she gave a loving smile at the thought of Zane as the warmth feeling side her grows stronger. "When I was with him, I felt… a connection. I felt… free."
Borg then gave Pixal a longing look. "Pixal, I think it's time you understand something." He said as she listened, "You see after hearing how Zane's father built him, I took inspiration from him to create you as the one thing I have always wanted: A child."
Pixal looked in surprise by what Borg said to her. "You mean, you didn't create me as just an assistant?" She asked.
"No, Pixal. I created you to be my daughter." Borg answered with a smile. "Since my days were spent so long in my lab and inventions, I never had time to go out and start a family, I had hoped that I would be able to remedy that with you but, no matter how advanced your programing was I, just couldn't give you the emotion a proper young girl should have." He explained solemnly before smiling at her, "But now, when I look at you, if I ever had a daughter then you are everything she could have been."
Pixal gave a joyful smile at what Borg said to her. "I, I am still wondering how is it I have emotions now. If you said you couldn't give me them before, yet, I suddenly have them." She said while placing a hand over the cable where her heart is.
"When did you start developing emotions, Pixal?" Borg asked her in wonder. "Because when I first created you, you were just like any other robot."
"After I discovered Zane's power source and I attempted to study it further, I came in contact with and before long I started developing human emotion." Pixal explained as she brought her hands together, "And when Zane gave me half of his power source, the emotions only increased so now, I am conflicted on where I belong."
Borg frowned, "Pixal remember this: you are your own person, and as such you belong to one," He said before giving a warm smile, "So if you want to be with Zane then, you should be with him."
He was then surprised as Pixal quickly moved over and hugged him, "Thank you and I'm glad you created me…father." Pixal said warmly.
Borg gave a warm smile as he returned the hug. "You are welcome, my daughter." He said they shared the hug. "Though, maybe I should've let you keep your clothes on when patching the cord to your chest. You are my child, not a battery." He said sheepishly.
"I do not mind." Pixal said, still hugging her father as Borg chuckled and continued the hug.
Just then, beeps started going off in the computer as they broke the hug. "What? Nindroid power signatures." Borg said in surprise. "But this is impossible," He then starts seeing on the screen as more red dots appeared. "It says they're right here. Twelve feet, eight feet… This makes no sense," He remarked with great concern.
Pixal then have a thought in her head of why it says the Nindroids are here when they are not as she turned to her father. "Unless they're beneath us," She theorized as Borg realized that the Nindroid were after the Ninja, who were right underneath the building.
Meanwhile in the Serpentine Village, the Ninja were talking about what they just learned.
"I can't believe they think Lloyd or Lydie could become the Golden Master of Destruction," Kai said in disbelief from what the Serpentine believed about their friends.
"Well, they are the children of Lord Garmadon," Thunder pointed out.
"What I want to know is, if none of them took the hard drive, who else could it be?" Nya wondered, their searching having come to a dead end.
Burmesia then came up to them, "On that note, what makesss you ssso assure it wasss one of usss who ssstole it?" She asked.
"Well, like we said, we found this white scale when we encountered our little serpentine suspect." Jay said as he brought out the white scale again. "And our friend Pixal said that it's serpentine origin. So we're hoping to find a match to a certain snake."
Burmesia took a look at the scale as she tasted its scent with her tongue before she reeled back in horrified shock, "N-No, i-it, it can't be," She denied.
The Ninja looked confused, "Wait, you recognize this scale?" Seliel asked.
"Y-Yes. B-But, this is impossible." Burmesia said again while looking at the scale.
"Well, don't keep us in the dark, tell us please." Kai urged.
But before Burmesia could answer, an Anacondrai called out in fright. "We're under attack! Protect the young!" He called out.
The Serpentine all started screaming in panic as a battalion of Nindroids came into the village, holding out their swords.
"Nindroids!" Cole called out as many Serpentine parents then started grabbing their children and running to their homes for safety.
"Ugh! These toasters never know when to quit," Jay groaned from the Nindroids, really annoyed by them as the Nindroids charged at them with their swords out.
Burmesia looked to the Ninja pleadingly, "Please! Help us sssubdue thisss tin-plated interloperssss!" She begged.
Kai sighed as he spoke. "I can't believe I'm saying this, but… Protect the Serpentine!" he yelled out to the others.
"NINJA, GO!" The boys, except Zane, did Spinjitzu as they charged at the Nindroids, leaving Zane behind with Burmesia.
"What are you waiting for, Zane? Go help them! Ssspin!" Burmesia urged.
"I would if I could. But Pixal has the other half of my power source, without her my technique is barely adequate," Zane lamented, his power source having crippled his ability to help.
Skales then rushed up to Zane furious, "What evil have you brought here?!" he demanded.
"Sorry about that," Zane apologized to Skales. "We didn't know we were being followed," he said in defense.
"It doesn't matter!" Burmesia shouted as she push Skales away from Zane. "Ssskalesss, you and the other Generalsss jussst focusss on getting our people to sssafety ssso the Ninja deal with thisss!" She ordered.
"Yesss, your hignessss!" Skales bowed as he slithered off to do just that.
Nya faced a Nindroid as she brought out her Tessen. The Nindroid swiped his sword at her, which she blocked it repeatedly in grunting efforts while dodging the Nindroid's attacks before she bucked it away in a distance.
Seliel then brought out her glaive as she block a Nindroid's strike as the two clashed before she manage to kick his hand, which sends the sword flying as it landed in her hand as she held both weapons. "Uh oh." The Nindroid muttered.
"Uh oh is right Scrapbrain." Seliel said as she then sliced and diced at the Nindroid's before she kicked him away. "Well that was fun." She said to herself before the Nindroid stood back up again. "Oh come"
Selma looked for her son before she saw him running towards her. "Junior? Junior!" She cried out in worry as she held out her hands to her son.
"Mommy! Aah!" Skales Junior cried out before he tripped and fell to the ground as Cryptor lifted him off as Skales Junior looked at him fearfully.
Cryptor laughed at Skales Junior. "So you two are the future of the fearsome Serpentine?" He taunted him, having learned from the history about Skales and the Serpentine. "Please, you're nothing but a joke!"
Selma looked worried and nearly panicked that her son was about to get hurt as Cryptor continued to laugh and draw closer to Skales Junior. Suddenly, Kai appeared as he kicked Cryptor in the head. The General found himself surrounded by the Ninja.
"And you're about to be history," Kai said angrily as Junior made it to his mother who ran with him to safety while the Ninja faced Cryptor.
Cryptor cracked his neck as he laughed at the Ninja in challenge.
"Let's get 'em, guys," Cole said to the others as they put on their masks as they all tackled Cryptor to the ground.
But then Cryptor used his strength to get them off him as he got up with a laugh as he picked up Cole by his legs as he then tossed him away as Cole yelled from the toss.
Zane then starts picking up Jay while Kai got himself up. "Hey, thanks," Jay thanked Zane for helping.
But then, Cole crashed on Zane before they landed on the others, groaning from the impact.
"Whew," Cole sighed in relief.
Nya sighed and Seliel face palmed at how sad this was.
The Ninja got up as they took stances. "If we could figure out what powered them, this would all be a whole lot easier," Jay pointed out.
Cryptor laughed as he and his troops came charging at the Ninja, drawing swords at them while taking their battle stances.
The Ninja gasped as they all took off in different directions as the Nindroids followed each of them while growling.
Kai hen did a jump flip on a stalagmite and did a kick as he bucked some Nindroids back.
Thunder did a jump kick on Nindroids that got Nya cornered as he kicked them back.
"Uh… oh," Nya said in surprise.
"Ha, ha!" Jay cheered as he turned to Nya, as he was smiling under his mask.
Cole ran up against a wall before flipping over a Nindroid chasing him. In mid-flip, he saw the Electro-Cobrai container on its back as he pulled out the plug attached to its head. The Nindroid immediately powered down and fell to the floor.
"Hey! They're powered by some sort of eel thing inside their backs!" Cole called out to the others about his discovery.
The others then followed Landrush's lead as they all started pulling the plug out of the Nindroids, causing them to power down.
"NINJA-GO!" they all cried out as they did Spinjitzu, except for Zane, as they all started pulling the plugs off all the Nindroids.
They all stopped as a Nindroid behind Jay growls as Jay screamed in surprise. But as the Nindroid was about to swipe its sword at the unicorn, it powered down as Jay lowered his hooves as he saw Nya with the plug in her hand.
Nya laughed from that as Jay laughed back as he then tapped the depowered Nindroid to the side as it tilted, falling onto the other Nindroids which fell like dominos as the others watched. In the end, Cole got piled by powerless Nindroids before he jumped out while the others are cheering for their victory.
And then, Zane felt something grab one of his legs. "Huh?" he said in confusion as he turned to the only remaining powered Nindroid looking at him with purple eyes.
"Foolish Nindroid, you are helping the wrong side," the Overlord's voice spoke through the Nindroid.
"The Overlord?" Zane asked in surprise from this as he glared down. "You'll never succeed. Not if we have anything to say about it," he said to the Overlord as the others came to him as they all glared at the possessed Nindroid.
"I already have," the Overlord said as he gave an evil laugh. "You've unknowingly led me straight to the Ninja Yin & Yang. And this was merely a diversion to keep you busy," He said, which made the others surprised and shocked by this as the Overlord started laughing evilly.
Zane had enough of him as he ripped out the plug with a grunt, the Nindroid powering down to get the Overlord to stop talking.
Skales, Burmesia and the Venomari Elder came to them as they heard what the Overlord just said. "The boy and girl holdsss too much power. I fear the curssse of the Golden Massster of Dessstruction isss upon ussss," Skales said with great worry and fear now that the Overlord knew where to find the Garma-Twins.
"The dawn of the end of timesss isss near," The Venomari Elder added.
The Ninja walked up to Burmesia as Nya spoke. "We have to get to Lloyd and Lydie before they do," she said, wanting to save their friends before their enemies get them first. "Are you sure you won't help us?" She asked her.
"I'm sssorry, Nya." Burmesia spoke. "But my people made an oath to never to return to the Sssuface, but asss their leader I mussst sssee thisss battle through to the end," She then turned an Anacondrai approaching, "Rectar, you and Skalesss are in charge until I return, make assure nothing elssse get down here." She ordered.
"Asss you wish, my queen." Rectar bowed.
"Good luck, you're highnessss." Skales bowed next.
Burmesia nodded as she and the Ninja began to walk out. "Why so eager to help us anyway, Burmesia?" Jay asked.
Burmesia turned to him in concern, "Becaussse thisss attack and seeing the what thisss Nindroidsss are powered by, thisss confirmsss my fearsss on your sssussspect." She explained, "For you sssee, there isss only one Ssserpentine I know of that'sss had a hissstory of being ssso fond, of experimenting with Electro-Cobrai!"
"Who!?" The Ninja all cried out desperately as Burmesia was about to answer, urging her to finish on who the white hood stranger is.
She then let out solemn sigh, "The only member of my family I have left." She answered.
Back in Hiroshi's Labyrinth, the Garmadon Family kept walking as Lloyd finished tell his father about Harumi, "And since then, we've been best friends." Lloyd said with a smile.
Garmadon nodded back, "I see, and you say she's only a friend." He asked coyly.
Lloyd let a sarcastic chuckle, "I see what your doing father, but may I remind she's a princess and I'm a ninja." He reminded, "What chance do I have with a girl like that?" He asked as he walked ahead while Garmadon kept smiling at him.
"More than you realize." He said to himself.
Soon the family found themselves before an oasis with a pond and a waterfall as the area is a beautiful place.
"The Jewel of the Labyrinth," Garmadon said in awed at the sight.
"It's the most beautiful thing I've ever seen," Lloyd said with a smile at the sight.
"It's amazing." Lydie said in awed as she look at her own reflection in the pond.
"I've never seen something like this." Misako said in awed. "It is certainly a sight to behold."
"Yes," Garmadon said with a smile at the group. "Beauty can be borne, even in darkness," He added as they all took a long look at the oasis.
But then the moment was ruined as the group heard buzzing sounds as they turned and saw trees coming down to their right.
"They found us? But how?!" Misako gasped in shock, realizing the Overlord had found them.
"It doesn't matter." Garmadon said seriously as he turned to his children. "You two must leave! Go!" He ordered.
"He's right, we'll hold them off. You two both must get to safety!" Misako added as she and Garmadon walked up a bit as the Garma-Twins looked in shock.
"But Mom, Dad…" Lydie tried to protest before their parents whipped around.
"We said leave!"They both shouted, which got the Garma-Twins to leave them as they ran off while Garmadon and Misako turned and saw Techno Wu on s buzz saw vehicle as the controlled sensei stopped, he jumped down and faced Garmadon and Misako while the Garma-Twins looked down as they try to climb to the top.
Techno Wu tried to whack Garmadon with his staff but Garmadon blocked it with his own. "Why must the two of us always be on opposite sides, brother?" Garmadon asked his controlled brother, wondering why they have to fight on opposite sides, and that Garmadon is on the good side and Wu on the bad this time. "I made an oath not to fight, but I'll still defeat you."
"Not without me, Dear!" Misako said as she stood next to Garmadon as Wu narrowed his eyes at them.
Garmadon aimed his staff at his brother, "Do you still remember how to battle?" He asked his wife.
"Did you forget who defeated both of you in our youth?" Misako asked with a smirk.
Garmadon gave a small chuckle. "Yes. Well, I confess, we weren't really trying." He admitted.
"Neither was I." Misako answered with a smile as she and her husband as well as Techno Wu took ready stances.
After a brief moment of staring each other down, they all jumped up and struck each other. while Garmadon just blocks and dodges Techno Wu's strikes, Misako kicked Techno Wu back when there was an opening as the two Garmadons fought their controlled brother.
Garmadon blocked another strike when Techno Wu jumped and tried to kick him before Garmadon jumped on a tall tree and swung on a vine, twirling over as Techno Wu followed him before Garmadon blocked Techno Wu's staff again while Misako tackled Techno Wu to the ground as they fought before Misako pinned Wu to the ground.
"Looks like you're in your brother's old position, huh Wu?"" Misako said teasingly before slammed the back of his head into her before flipping her off before Garmadon caught her, "My hero." She said with a smile.
"My angel." Garmadon returned the gesture as the two face Techno Wu as he was about to strike again.
The Garma-Twins manage to make it to the top of the hill, but then they saw a group of Nindroids in front of them as they walked towards the two.
'If we have the power of the Golden Weapons, do you think?' Lydie asked her brother mentally.
'Let's find out.' Lloyd smirked as the two built up their powers.
Down below, Misako and Garmadon struggled against Wu as they saw their children using their powers. "Lloyd! Lydie! Don't!" Misako cried out, thinking they were gonna use their powers to stop the Nindroids.
"Trust in the Balance!" Garmadon cried out.
But to their surprise, the Garma-Twins made two motorcycles, Lloyd's was gold with green details and Lydie's was purple with obsidian highlights. The two then revved up their engines and drove over their elders heads and into the jungle.
Misako and Garmadon blinked in surprise before smiling, "Those are our children!" They said in unison before Techno Wu whacked them back while they were distracted.
As the Garma-Twins revved up through the jungle, the Nindroids followed them in flight two bobbed and weaved through the tree as the Nindroids tried to follow their patters, but they were either pushed back or crashed into the tree lines as the Garma-Twins speed up and just lost two Nindroids.
But then a squad of them started coming right in front of them as they moved out of the way as the Nindoirds fired at them, but then they speed up as the Nindroids crashed into each other when they tried to get close to them.
Lydie looked ahead as she spotted something. "Cliff!" She called out as Lloyd looked ahead and saw that they were heading straight for the end of the road.
The two applied their brakes just in time and stop at the edge of the cliff. Then from the other side they see the Mech Dragon, repaired and powered by Electro-Cobrai, flying before them and in it's mouth they see both their mother and father tied together with their uncle next them.
"Mom!" Lydie called in worry.
"Dad!" Lloyd cried next.
"Go, Children!" Misako cried out.
"And never look back!" Garmadon yelled next.
Just then, the Overlord's eyes appeared on the MechDragon's eyes as he spoke. "Leave, and your parents shall fall," the Overlord threatened as Techno Wu leaned Misako and Garmadon over the edge of the MechDragon's mouth over the ocean.
The Garma-Twins hopped off their motorcycles as they disappeared as they faced the Mecha Dragon as they charge up their powers, not caring if they risk making the Overlord more powerful, all they cared about is saving their parents.
Then something slithered towards them as Lydie saw it coming towards them as she gasped, "Lloyd, watch out!" She shouted as she accidently shot her blast at Lloyd knocking to the edge.
Lloyd waved his arms, trying to stay balanced as he was one foot on the edge, "Whoa! Whoa! AHHH!" Lloyd Yelled as he fell to the ocean below.
Lydie realize her mistake a second too late as Misako and Garmadon gasped in horror, "Lloyd!" She called out to her brother in horror before the snake wrapped around her as she fell to the ground, "Argh, no! Vengestone!" She grunted as she struggled to break free as she can't summon her powers as the snake hissed at her.
"Indeed." A raspy voice was heard as Lydie turned her head as she saw the white cloak figure coming towards her as he took off his hood to reveal someone Lydie never thought to see again. "Hello, daughter of the dark lord." He said, revealing a familiar long-necked Anacondrai face.
"Pyhtor!?" Lydie said in shock as she looked at him, noting his white and purple marked skin. "Wha-how?! I thought you were…" She trailed off.
Pythor let out an amused chuckle, "What, Dead?" He asked in a hoarse voice. "Actually, I sssuffered a worssser fate: digesssted in the bowelsss of the Devourer. It can wreak havoc on one'sss complexion," The white Anacondrai explained, gesturing to his skin then turned to Techno Wu. "Fortunately for your dear uncle, well, he escaped unssscathed." He stated with a glare.
"Yeah, well, your plan failed." Lydie said as Pythor picked her up and guided her to the Mech Dragon, "You might have me but without Lloyd, the Overlord will never get the power he needs to be free."
"Oh, I wouldn't be so confident little one," The Overlord said as Lydie was brought into the Dragon's mouth, "Even without your brother, your power alone will allow to be free of my digital prison. And once I find another means of obtaining the power of Light, my transformation will be complete!"
Lydie gasped in shock as she tried to break free. "I-I couldn't leave you two. I was trying to protect Lloyd but I did the exact opposite." Lydie said to her parents in shame, "I can't do this without you, I'm sorry mom, dad, I failed you." She bowed her head.
"No, sweetie." Misako said solemnly.
"We understand. It was us who failed-" Garmadon tried to give some assurance but their moment was interrupted when the Overlord spoke.
"These two old fools are of no importance to me," the Overlord interrupted. "Toss them into the sea and let them join their son!"
"NOOO!" Lydie cried out as Techno Wu pushed Misako and Garmadon over the edge, screaming into the ocean. "MOMMY! DADDY!" She cried out as they hit the water as Lydie fell to her knees and sobbed, "No," She whimpered as tears flowed down from her eyes.
The Mech Dragon did not give Lydie the chance to grieve as it flew back to New Ninjago City. But little did they know, at the side of the cliff was as just when the Mech Dragon flew off, he saw his parents falling into the ocean as he dove into the water after them and carried them back to safety with his dragon.
As Lloyd dropped his mother and father back on the cliff to catch their breath, he jumped off his dragon and rushed to them, "Mom, dad! Are you okay?!" He asked frantically.
Garmadon coughed for a moment before turning to his son, "Don't worry son, we'll be fine." He assured.
"But they have your sister." Misako said in worried as they look off to where the Mech Dragon is flying off too.
"Alright, you two stay here and I'll fly after and get her back!" Lloyd said as he was about to fly his dragon to where the Mech Dragon is.
Garmadon stopped him however, "No! That's just giving the Overlord exactly he wants!" He told him.
"Dad, if this is another one of your balance lessons-" Lloyd tried to argue before Misako stopped him.
"Lloyd, please! Your father only wants to protect you." Misako tried to ease the tension.
"Mom, Dad, just stop okay?!" Lloyd snapped, which made the two flinch as he looked at them in intense emotion. "We tried running and hiding from the Overlord, but it didn't work! No matter where we go, he'll just find us again and we're back to square one! And right now, Lydie is captured and the Overlord will siphon her powers out of her to become real! And, and, " He started making shaky breaths and teared up.
Garmadon and Misako looked at their son in sympathy as they hugged Lloyd as he started crying, "Shh, it's okay Lloyd, it's okay." Misako comforted as she and Garmadon lowered to the ground, still holding on to their son.
"Breath son, just let it out." Garmadon said as Lloyd let out his tears as he sobbed into their arms as he let out his emotions.
"I don't want this power anymore! I just want my friends! I want my big sister!" Lloyd sobbed, wanting his sister more than the power to move mountains.
Garmadon sigh as he place a hand over his son's head. "I'm sorry, son. I shouldn't have pushed you and your sister so hard into honing your powers." He apologized.
"And we shouldn't have kept running away from trouble when all this time, we could've face it together. And now Lydie's been captured because of it." Misako added in sorrow before furrowing her brow in determination. "But not anymore."
Garmadon then shared the same determination as his wife. "This time, we face danger head on, with your friend at our side and get your sister and uncle back. No matter what." He said firmly as he and Misako stood up.
Lloyd look at his parents in surprise as he looked at them. "Really?" He asked as Garmadon and Misako smiled and nodded. Lloyd smiled and cleared his eyes as he stood up and turned to the Mech Dragon in the distance, "Don't worry Lyd." He said.
"Just stay strong, daughter." Misako added as she and Garmadon stood beside Lloyd while holding her son's shoulder.
"We will find you. And we will save you and Wu." Garmadon finished as the three watch watched the mech dragon disappear into the distance as the three watched on with determination to save the rest of their family.
