Hello everyone!

It's been a long time since I've updated this, but it's great to be back! I just wanted to announce to you all that soon, the Thousands Year Fairytale series will be getting a revamp. I'm going to take all three works, Beyond Homeworld Skies, Thousands Year Fairytale, and Almost Human, and rewrite and combine them into one story: Millennium of Dreams.

I plan on leaving the originals online, but I wanted to let you all know that an even better story is on its way, with more romance, betrayal, and twists and turns than the original. I know it's been a long time, but my readers are all still very near and dear to my heart, even after all this time, and I'm hoping that you're still out there! And, so, with all my new works, I will also be uploading this to AO3 and potentially other places, and all my other accounts are listed in my profile.

Thank you all for all the support and lovely reviews you've given me way back when, and I hope to hear from some of you again soon! For now, enjoy a bit of a sneak peek!

"You're better than the way she treated you, Pearl. You always have been." Garnet held Pearl's hands in hers, looking deep into her eyes. "I just wish I knew how to make you see yourself like I do."

"You don't understand, Garnet. Ruby and Sapphire hit it off right away, and they've always been solid. I've never had a relationship like that, but Rose… Rose was everything to me. I was created to serve her. Without her, I feel like I have no purpose. And once Steven is all grown up, what will I even be good for?" Pearl looked away, a pained expression on her face as she blinked back tears.

Garnet's heart sunk. "You've always been valuable to us, Pearl. Even when Steven is grown, he's still going to look to you for advice. He loves you. We all love you."

"I don't know how to be anything else other than Rose's Pearl." She choked back a small sob, eyes fixed on the ground.

"All you've ever had to be here on Earth is yourself." Garnet was filled with an overwhelming urge, and, with her heart pounding in her ears, she let go of Pearl's hand, and cupped her chin, gently tilting her head up to look at her. She gingerly brushed the tears away from her cheeks and kissed her, suddenly but gently. She felt Pearl gasp in surprise against her lips and quickly pulled away, her senses returning to her and she dropped her hands to her lap. "Pearl, I'm sorry, I-I don't know what came over me."

"Garnet… I never knew you felt that way," She murmured, a soft blue blush tinging her cheeks.

"I have for a long time," Garnet confessed. "But if you don't reciprocate-"

"It's not that." Pearl interrupted, laughing softly. "It's definitely not that. But I've never had a healthy relationship before. Or any, for that matter. And your dynamic with Ruby and Sapphire… it intimidates me."

"I understand. However we move on with this is entirely up to you. I hope I haven't overstepped."

Pearl shook her head. "I need to think about it."

"Take all the time you need. You know where to find me." Garnet stood up, taking one last longing glance at Pearl as she walked away, hoping against hope that she hadn't just ruined everything.
