The Blonde famous director and the Idol .
The Blonde famous director and the Idol .
Chapter 3.
After arriving in Japan, Junsei gets a memory of the past of the dream, and then decides to go to an idol show. Once there, he spotted something special. Another liar.
Slight retcon.
I do not own any work of Aka Akasaka, or oshi no ko.
With the bright lights, and the even brighter smile of the idol dancing on stage. Junsei can only stand there at performance. Only with the lights beaming throughout the whole area only adding to her performance, she keeps dancing to express her love to the audience. For that is what Junsei only knows from his first impression.
"(Damn, she's a natural at this. But There's no way she can be that good tough?)"
Thinking to himself now Junsei stands there trying his best to understand this one idol on stage, and her all to a loveable smile. But he was wiser to know that an idol can't possibly express that much love. But what he could see was the most exquisite form of love Junsei had ever seen in his life. Even most romance movie actors Junsei has ever seen in his career, don't even hold a candle to what he is seeing in that one idol.
As Junsei continues watching, before he can realize a grin appears on Junsei's face. But not any forced grin, or perfectly constructed grin. It was a real grin formed out of the seer performance of the show.
"(I'm actually Grinning. When was the last time that happened to me?)"
But Junsei already knew. Junsei never grinned on accident. It was always a calculated, and planned smile or grin whenever he had too. But this was different. He really has grinned without meaning to at all.
But for some reason this one idol dancing and showing off to the whole crowd can? How can this be?
For Junsei this feeling was unknown, and unexplainable. But it definitely did feel good to do a show. To really smile, and enjoy yourself was truly great for Junsei. Because he never experienced something like this before.
Now wondering to himself. Junsei can think of what was the name of this idol. But it wouldn't take that long until he hears all the fans in the crowd scream out one name.
"AI!" Screams a fan in the crowd.
"I LOVE YOU AI!" Another one says.
"AAAAAAAIIIIIII!" Another one screams even louder.
"(That didn't take long. So her name is AI, Hm?)" Junsei, now finding out the name of the idol singing Junsei, begins to enjoy the show. Admiring all the effort put into it, and the hype generated in the show, with the all too talented idol on the center of it all, Junsei can only stand there, forgetting the time pass, as the show reaches its peak Climax.
As the show starts to get to an even higher point. The crowd only gets even more rowdy, and the music gets even louder, the act gets to its final stage, Junsei can feel a slight wiggle on his feet, as he can feel his own balance shift. Realizing all too late that he's about to fall. As the chair he was standing on is about to collapse down. Junsei panics.
"CRAP!" Junsei screams out as he completely loses balance on the chair he is standing on.. As he begins to fall down the second the show begins to end.
So as Junsei falls down he can only think of his final moment. As he closes his eyes as he thinks of his final words.
"(So this is how life goes. Ah what a life. Good bye beautiful mass media world.)" Junsei thinks, before he hits the ground as the show is ending in it'd climax.
…..
"I love you ❤️." Ai saying her final lines for the concert. But as soon as the song ends, and before the final cheers can occur, a strong crash can be heard through the hall, with some of the audience looking behind, find a person lying on the ground.
"OW!" Junsei says in visible pain.
"(Damn, why did I think standing on a chair was a good idea.) Junsei thinks of his very stupid action. Trying to pick himself up, Junsei can see multiple people staring at him with visible concerned faces on them. With some of them trying to approach the boy in pain to help him.
But as soon they approached Junsei; as they got close, Junsei quickly got up with a blush of embarrassment from the unsavory sight he's in, Junsei quickly bows, and excuses himself from the hall leaving with an injured skip from his injury he obtained from his mistake.
Shifting perspectives from all the way in the front of the stage, a girl thinks about the situation that just transpired, with the boy in the back.
"(He looked hurt.I wonder if he's fine?)"
…..
Limping across the streets of Tokyo, Junsei tries his best to find a way to get back to his hotel, failing very badly from his sustained injury. Now pulling his phone out he looks at the time that passes, seeing that it's already 10PM
"(Wait, it's already 10Pm. It only felt like only 10 minutes. I guess time passes quicker when your actually enjoying yourself, I guess that was funner then I taught, so much that I forgot how stupid it was to stand on a chair was.)"
"Heh… ouch!" Junsei laughs at himself, then winces in pain.
Barely keeping himself stable, Junsei leans on a nearby wall on the side to not fall over completely. Now dragging himself on the wall, Junnsei keeps trying his best to find a place to rest up and hopefully recover from the injury.
Limping along, Junsei can only barely stand on the wall. But as if luck would find it, Junsei sees a late night Cafe very close to him, in the alley. With as much strength Junsei can find in himself, Junsei pulls himself just a couple more feet, until he finally gets to the door of the Cafe, opening it he enters it, only seeing just the batista standing there alone with no one else around.
Looking around the Cafe it's a pretty niece, and old; but very classy, with the tone down lighting, and classical jazz being played.
Moving along the Cafe, Junsei finds a spot somewhere in the corner. Sitting down in the cozy seat, Junsei can only drift into thought about the concert, and that idol he saw.
Her perfect dance, her cute smile;no more like invincible, and exquisite love. Her skarple was way too great for just an idol. For Junsei, if she ever wanted to become an actor, she would reach A-list status within a year easily.
But now looking back to his own injuries, Junsei realizes that he broke his wrist, and bent his ankle in a terrible form. If not from the adrenaline still pumping from the initial shock of the fall, he'll be probably groaning in terrible pain throughout his body.
But there's a problem with adrenaline, sometimes it can leave you not noticing some other injuries precured where else on your body. Even sometimes your own surroundings around you.
Unheard, goes the ring of the cafe door opening for Junsei, as another patron enters the small Cafe, making the customers go up from 1. to 2.
Entering, there enters a relatively short girl, with a cap on herself. But not helping the purple hair sticking out, and flowing out. Like a star and glitters, she walks around admiring her own surroundings, but being familiar with it. Almost like she's already familiar with this place already. Showing that she's been here many other times before. As she walks around with a smile, she notices a boy sitting all by himself, showing that she isn't alone in this cafe, aside from the barista. Slowly approaching the boy she can somewhat see, a familiar blonder hair, she saw not too long. Realizing it's that boy from the concert, she approaches to speak.
"Ah, it's you. Are you okay?" Says the girl in concern.
In a haze of his own dreamy state; Junsei can barely recognize someone talking to him. But still realizing someone is talking to him, he looks up in a stupor, and is nearly left in a baffled state.
"Damn, I must be hallucinating about AI in my own sorry state." Closing his eyes in a diswaying manner to get back to reality.
"No, I'm real." Says AI in affirmation. Looking at the injured boy, with her starry eyes.
"Hmmm…?" Opening his eyes fully, there stands the one and only AI the idol, in the flesh, right in front of Junsei himself.
Only standing there in a frozen state, he only evaluates the situation in its purest form. And that AI is now standing in front of him, in all her glory. Realizing this he can only ask how, and why she's even here?
"So your AI. Do you mind telling me why you're possible right in front, because I think I'm still hallucinating." Ask Junsei with a smile to confirm that he's indeed staring at AI. The idol he's only just seen today. Which is a pretty insane coincidence.
"Hey, am I asking the questions? And you still look pretty hurt from what I can see." AI says whilst staring at Junsei, with her glissing eyes. But while looking at the Injured boy, she can spot a trickle of blood running along his forwards. Noticing this she quickly speaks up.
"AH, there's blood coming from your face!" She Points at Junsei's face, in shock.
Touching his forehead, and looking at it. Junsei sees blood on his hand, realizing he actually hit his head on the floor when he fell, and Junsei began to panic a bit.
"Oh- that's not good." trying to somewhat downplay his injury.
With a responsive nod AI began to speak with some concern for the boy." Yeah it isn't. You should get that checked out at a clinic." Says AI to get the boy some help, maybe.
Listening to the concern of AI, Junsei quickly answers the worry, in hopes to disway on going to the clinic. so as not to get caught.
"No thanks, I don't want to be recogni-..." Quickly catching himself mid sentence. So not reveal too much.
But too bad for Junsei, AI notices the hiccup in the boy's words, and presses him more. So with one eyebrow raised in curiosity, Ai asked the boy who he could be.
"You famous, or something?" AI asked, on who the boy could be.
Realizing that it is over for him, Junsei decides the best way may be lying. Quickly producing a lie that could get him out of this. So now putting a smile, and the best poker face he can, he makes one on the spot.
"No nothing like that, it's that my parents would be called if they knew i was out so late in the city." Junsei says this thinking that it would work perfectly on convincing AI to not press him any longer. But in the back of his mind, Junsei knew even if they did find out, why would they even care.
But looking back at AI, he could only see a face of confusion, and suspicion on her face. Making Junsei think that the lie may have not worked.
"You know something, that was a good reason. But maybe if your face wasn't so bad looking, maybe I'd believe you." Ai says, making the lie Junsei produced.
But in shock at how the lie didn't work, Junsei quickly goes into damage control mode.
"(what, how? I'm pretty sure I've perfected my facial expression to show out most true in my lies. So how?)" he says with shock on his face.
"Whatever could you mean my face is bad?" Quickly, Junsei responded.
"Ah- well i feel like when you lie, your face could look better, you know. Oh let me show you." With Ai getting her phone, and opening the camera app, flipping the screen backwards, and pointing the screen at Junsei. Showing him his face on the screen.
Looking closely at the screen, Junsei is nearly left speechless at the sight. To best he could describe it was like an overly bloated crooked face, with ketchum coming from all sides. Really it was bad, very bad. It's still amazing that he's still remotely human looking, or even conscious. Or even speaking.
"I … um… to tell it nicely, I kinda don't look good. Does it?" Junsei says in self pity.
"You look like a balloon, that is about to pop." AI says bluntly. Hurting Junsei, I bit inside.
But before anything else. AI reaches down to get a handkerchief, from somewhere out of somewhere Junsei cant see. And points her hand in front of Junsei's face. Showing the handkerchief right in front of him.
Noticing the ever so kind gesture of the idol in front of him, Junsei decides to reach out, and grab it. But once he does so, a slight touch can be felt as soon as he touched AI's hand by accident. Only touching it ever so slightly, Junsei can pretty much make out how soft, and nearly silky it is. But even that, he didn't feel any sort of moisturizer, of any kind on the skin. Which lets him only think of one thing.
"(Wait! If she doesn't use any sort of lotion on her, then is she just that soft, and silky naturally. But now looking closer, she isn't even using any makeup on her! God damn, naturally beautiful, and top notch talent in attention grabbing. What couldn't she be, anything involving the media. Well whoever Strawberry Productions is, there got themselves a superstar in front of them.)" Junsei thinks of, not noticing he's been in the same pose, grabbing the handkerchief, from AI's hand.
"Uh-ham." AI speaks up, getting Junsei's attention.
Noticing the awkward position his hand is in, Jussei quickly jolts back his hand, grabbing the handkerchief in the process. Now fixing his posture,as quick as he can be; Junsei asks a question.
"So- are you just naturally good looking, or you wearing some new high tech, Japanese makeup?" Jusnei asks the question pretty bluntly.
"Huh?" kinda taking aback from the question. But thinking to herself what she could gain from this, but still confident in what answer she would say.
"Well… if i answer that question, how bout you answer one of mine." AI says starting Junsei to accept the offer, in anticipation.
Somewhat noticing that AI would probably want something from him, Junsei still decided to agree with it.
"Alright, deal." Accepting the offer, whilst starting to put on the handkerchief on his face to clean off some of the blood.
Smiling, and putting on a cocky smile, AI begins to put her pointer finger on her chin, and speak with confidence.
"Heh. For the matter of fact this face is all natural. But well I wear makeup when on stage, but right now-no." She says with one of the most confident smiles Junsei has ever seen.
"(Jesus… Well, I guess natural beauties do exist in this world.)" Junsei thinks of how that is even possible. With Junsei knowing that even some top class Hollywood women still need to wear makeup to even look half as good as she is right now.
"Well it's my turn now." AI says ready with her question.
Noticing this, Junsei gets ready for it.
"Well, who are you?" she asked, right for the kicker straight off the bat.
Quickly noticing this question, Junsei thinks of the next best thing to do.
"(Maybe I should lie. No, that wouldn't work again. Well poo.") But thinking of this, he stares back at AI eyes, thinking on whether, or not to trust her.
"(Well she doesn't look like, someone who would spill the beans, so might as well.)" Junsei thinks, might as well.
"Well you see." putting on a confident smile of his own. " My name is Junsei Bijutsu, the world renowned director~." Junsei says in high praise of himself.
"...Who?" Asked AI in curiosity on who he is, with a slight head sift.
With that one word, nearly all of Junsei's confidence in himself was blown out of him. But quickly recomposing himself, Junsei comes up with the logical answer on why she wouldn't know him.
"Well I guess it makes sense. The Japanese don't usually watch American films in general. But come on, really nothing? Academy awards, and Oscars for best director and best picture here!" He says in hopes of getting the idol in front of him, to recognize his prestige.
But to think, Ai raises her head, and closes her eyes to think of the Boy now, known as Junsei to her, and on who can be.
"Mmm… yeah notting." She says with an apologist smile.
"(OH damn, I guess I have fallen off here in Japan.) He thinks, with a small sad pout showing. But wait. Junsei thinks of his previous film he produced, all the way back when he was 8 years old. Trying to remember what the film was called, but quickly remembering its name.
"Wait a minute!" Junsei says in intent. Shocking Ai a bit.
"Do you know of the film named The Samurai of Today?"
Going back to her thinking pose, AI quickly remembers the film, released in Japan, all the way back a decade ago.
"Oh yeah- I do remember it. But Wasn't it released, like 10 years ago. Because when I watched it, I thought the movie was pretty funny, with its very intriguing plot of a real samurai from a long time ago, trying to fit into modern society".
Now catching her hook line and sinker, Junsei smiles again and speaks up again.
"Well if you would believe me, I actually made that movie myself, and even directed it myself." Junsei says with a proud smile.
Which only resulted in an extremely doubtful look in AI's face.
"Yeahhhhh…' AI says, throwing shade at Junsei, with even more doubt.
This one act only did only to take away Junsei soul from body, and like to stand in a blizzard of irrelevancies.
"You have hurt me very deeply, miss AI." Junsei says, over exaggerating his sorrow.
"I'm sorry, but I'm having a tough time believing that a 10 year old movie was produced by you." with still some doubt left.
"And even if you did produce it, how old would you be? Because you look like a 14 year old; on how short you look. And you would be a 4 year old when the movie was made." AI says this with logic, backing her words.
Noticing these reasonable questions, Jusnei can only find the most reasonable response in this, and to correct her assumptions.
"Well if you need proof, you can always google me. Also I'm not short, and I just turned 17 not too long ago. So don't look at me, like I'm a kid." Junsei says to correct AI.
"Wait! If you're 17, then the movie you made, was made when you were 7? I'm having a hard time believing that." AI says with some suspicion left.
"I see, but would I lie about something as ridiculous as me being a movie director at the age of 7." Junsei says with a proud smile on his face, whilst staring at AI with a proud eyebrow raised.
Staring back at the boy now known as Junsei to her; with AI pouting in defeat, and deciding to trust the boy, for his words. But with something in the back of her mind telling her that this boy has something similar to her. But not sure, on what exactly.
"Well-okay… I'm gonna take your word on it." Ai says she'll listen out the person.
"Well thank you very much for the trust." Junsei says with a gracious smile.
"But you still have to explain how you got here, and not at a clinic." Ai says, now a bit curious about the boy in front of her.
"(Ah-crap. I got more things up, quick.") Junsei thinks of. Only to stare back at AI eyes, seeing a glint in her eyes, like a curious puppy waiting for something new. Deciding on what to do next, Junsei decides maybe it might not be that bad to reveal the truth.
"Well you see."
With Junsei explaining the entire story of him leaving America, and losing motivation in film making. With him coming over here, without even telling anyone except his assistant. And how we saw an ad about the idol group, and decided to come and see what it was about.
"And now I'm here, injured to no end."
"Pfft" AI tries to hold back a small laugh.
"So basically you ran away, because you got burned out. That's just the pressure of the media world. Come one, really?" Ai says mockingly, but with a questioning face.
"Damn some harsh words there, very harsh." He says, now in a down mood.
"Well come on. is it really a good idea to run away on vacation, without warning for the people above you?" AI says with curiosity, on actually why the boy would possibly make such a move, because if she ever probably tried to do something like that, she'll be booted before she can say what.
"Well AI- you see the american media industry works just a bit different then japan. And by the way, when I mean a bit, I actually mean its worlds completely differently." Junsei says getting ready to explain the entire Media industry, all the way in hollywood.
"So you see how the media industry works here in japan, right?" Junsei says questioning AI.
"Yup. I'll say I know my way around the media industry pretty well." she says confidently, but puts a little dark moody face immediately.
"The entire idol business works on one big lie, and how you can keep that lie going until you can rise to fame. And also how you need to keep it up at all cost, whenever you're interacting with another person in the media." AI says, expecting Junsei to get dejected with how the media industry is in reality in japan.
"Well I guess you're somewhat right-But! You're still wrong on one thing about how the media works here." Junsei says sturdily.
"Huh…?" Ai gets confused on what the boy is saying.
"You see, you're missing one massive part. And that is insane communication skill, when you have to grow in your career." Junsei says firmly. "Whenever you're dealing with anyone in the media, read them very carefully, until you can work them out to the bone, then comes the hard part. You must communicate in a way, to get them on your side." Junsei says, staring deeply in AI eyes, while having a slight hint of a grin.
"As long as you can do that you're good." He says affirming his own idea of a perfect business in the media.
"Wait… I don't get it- so you don't need to put up a lie?" Ai is now confused a bit.
"Huh? Oh, no no no. I didn't say anything about not putting up a lie. Honestly if you're a person that can't connect with others naturally, then you need to learn how to put up a lie, to succeed in this media. But putting it up for too long can result in only losing yourself sometime, so I don't recommend you doing it long term." Junsei says. But as he does say it his gentle grin goes down, and a shameful face comes through.
"But who am I to talk…" Junsei knows who he is. And that's just a boy who can truly understand emotions. But only simulate them through acting.
Noticing this shift in heavy mood, and the answer, and response he gave. Realizing he's just like her; a liar stuck not knowing what real emotions are. Stuck with only themselves, in this world, and there lies. But that didn't matter, because for the first time, Ai has found someone with the same problems, and inabilities for real emotions. Maybe she doesn't need to be alone anymore. Maybe she can find what she always wanted. Just maybe.
"So.. you're just like me." Staring right back at Junsei deeply, with affirmation.
Noticing this slight mood change in AI, Jusnei confused on how she thinks that we are the same.
"What do you mean?" Junsei questions AI.
"Well, I know what you mean. Living a life of lies, and a front for so long you forget who you are. But doing it since you remember, is even worse, because you don't even know who you are, or how to express anything is really terrible. So you're left with nothing to do except make one up, to connect with others." AI says, deeply connecting both people into a mutual understanding for each other.
Staring back at her, Junsei does think we may be similar in nature but, there is a difference in us still, still believing that both of them are not the same.
"You think that… but I've always been this way." (Now going monotone, with the mood getting heavy).
" Since being young, my parents never accepted me as a person ever, because I showed them my real self; an apathetic person, never able to understand anyone truly. Leaving me with just my only ability, which was filmmaking. And through that one median, I figured a way out to connect people with lies. But it was too late for me, and my parents. Because I already showed them my real self when I was younger, making them to never accept even the new self I built up, truly leaving me by myself, and my lies. Then basically leaving me trying to take care of my own health, and well being. Sometimes even coming to death, from starvation. If not for my aunt, and moving to America; I'll probably be dead by now. " Junsei says, making the mood even heavier, while looking down.
But this doesn't deter AI in the slightest, only seeing a smile, with a glean on AI's face.
"We even have similar stories." Ai says with a glading look, making Junsei look back at the idol; confused about what she means.
"Huh? What do you mean?" Junsei is now confused about the applied similarities with one another.
"You see… I never had parents to begin with. My dad... Well, that doesn't matter. And my mom probably never liked me; I think she thought I was too cute and beautiful. So much so, she was afraid of me. To the point that she neglected me. But in the end, she got arrested. And I was put in an orphanage. But when she got out, she never came to pick me up, leaving me there. I never thought that just being born different was enough for people to reject who you are. I didn't choose to be like this; I am like this. So it's never your fault to begin with; we both never were loved, so how can we actually love, or feel emotions, to begin with? And I think it's fine for you to live with a lie if it makes you happy. Even becoming a lie itself is fine, so I think you're okay already as a person."
Ai was passionate in this speech, staring back at Junsei.
Standing there Junsei is flabbergasted on what AI just said. Not only she probably suffered a little more than him, with her being put in the orphanage, but having her mother never coming back. But at the same time his own mom never came back. But it's not me who can't love, but the situation he was put in. Junsei doesn't get it, he tried to show love, but it didn't result in anything else.
"I don't get it then. Are you telling me that living a lie is fine? I have been doing that for most of my life, and despising it, using it to get better at my career, and become something I'm not. So tell me, how is it fine?" Junsei questioning AI words.
Smiling at the response, AI speaks up with experience from the same feelings she had.
"I had the same thoughts about the whole thing to live a lie can be. But I realized that's fine to do, because I always wanted to love, and be loved, myself. So if I can keep lying about love, maybe, just maybe I can say I love you, to someone-for real. Just maybe." Ai deeply acknowledges the questioning of Junsei, and his beliefs in lies.
"So are you telling me to keep lying until my lies become real emotions?" Junsei says, trying to get affirmation from AI's words of wisdom.
"Yes. That's basically my whole plan, since becoming an idol. As long as I keep spouting a lie of love, just maybe, I can have real love come from the bottom of my heart. And you're the same in that nature from what I can tell." AI says looking back at Junsei answering him.
"What do you mean by "same nature?" Trying to understand what Ai means.
AI listening to this smiles at Junsei, and gets ready to change his entire perspective on the way he's been living.
"What I can tell from your story, you're trying to create emotions from your lies, like myself. Even if you think it's wrong, you have changed for yourself, because you always wanted emotions, because you always wanted it, didn't you? You tried to change yourself to connect with your parents but it didn't work out, but you still changed yourself with your own lies. Even if you still don't believe you did, even though you did so. So I believe we're actually the same in that regard. So Junsei… I'm gonna say this. You have been trying to make your lies into reality, just like me." AI says, staring at him with a passion that makes Junsei rethink the way he's been trying to approach his life to begin with.
"My lies, into reality…?" Says Junsei trying to comprehend, if it's truly okay for him to live a lie, that becomes a truth.
"So is it really okay for me to lie? I've been lying to achieve my goals, and make the people around me work to their best abilities, always changing that lie, to benefit the situation of others. So is it really okay for me to become that… really? Junsei now trying to get affirmation. Only to be looked at by Ai with a Starry look in her eyes.
"Yes. I think it's okay to live a lie, for the sake or growth, because that's what you want to do." She says passionately, like she was talking about it, from her own experiences.
Stuttering with his next words, Junsei doesn't know what to say. Except that he does want to feel real, and if he needs to decide whether or not to keep lying to achieve that goal, then so be it.
"So… is it…" Junsei struggled with his next words.
"Is it really okay… can I build on a lie, until it becomes real. Then become someone I want to, even though it isn't real? Can I?" Junsei trying to get one last affirmation from the idol.
But looking back, Junsei only sees a look of reassurance within her eyes. Telling him everything we would know. And that's it's truly okay to be a lie, because sooner or later, you become the thing you want to be through your own lies, and efforts. Because deep down that is what Junsei always wanted from the bottom of his heart. And that was to express his emotion to all.
Now looking back at the eye. A deep, glowy star can be seen from Junsei's eyes, which showed all but thankfulness and gratefulness from whatever lie-filled heart Junsei has now. Smiling back at her, Junsei is ready for what may come in his life.
"Thank you." Smiling at AI with all the gratefulness Junsei has left. Not noticing his vision getting blurry.
Looking back at the boy's profound smile, she can only be modest because, for some reason outside of her duties as an idol, she decided to help motivate the boy with the same problem she may have faced in the past herself.
"Yeah, no problem. It's always an id…" A loud slam can be heard as AI sees the same boy laying his head on the table, surely falling unconscious from the injuries he sustained.
"A, are you okay?" She says, worried about the boy's condition. Now with the situation left in her hands, she decides on what to do next.
Author's notes.
Oh no Junsei's dead, or is he? Found out next of now 2 liars in this world.
Jesus, this took longer to write than I thought. Well, that's mostly because I quite literally got stuck halfway through writing this because I thought I may have written myself into a corner sometimes and not developing the story as I thought. But I'm always open to some criticism, as always. So please look forward to it. As I continue to build this story.
