Ash and Serena says goodbye to Grace as they're going to Hoenn. They went to the Kalos Airport and saw the exact same escalator where Serena kissed Ash which brings back their good old memories.
Serena: Remember I kissed you back then?
Ash: Yes.
They both smiles.
In terminal, Serena saw the baking goods and bought them for the new recipe of Macaron and about to board to the airport.
Serena: So Ash, Thank you for saving my friend, but-but-
Ash: ?
Despite what she said, Serena actually knows that Ash will always put others before themselves and Serena would do the same (look at Chapter 5, Serena was trying to save her friends by putting the rubble with her pokemon, but the rubble was way too heavy to be removed by her and her pokemon alone). But she just can't afford to have Ash being heroic sacrificed for those acts.
Ash remind that he the last time he saw those Squirtle Squad was that they were inside to save people. Ash begin to worried if they're going to be fine even he aware that those Squirtle Squad are professionally trained firefighters and were specialized for such dangerous task (especially the leader was formerly his own Pokémon)
Meanwhile, the TV had broadcast that the news reporter had interviewed the Squirtle Squad about the situation of the Pokemon Hall incident.
News Reporter: So Squirtle Squad, how's the current situation about the Pokemon Hall incident?
Squirtle Squad: Squirtle Squirtle! (Everyone have been recused, but my old friend Ash also shared some credit for finding 2 last victims)
Ash relieved as he saw all those Squirtle Squad were alive.
Serena asked with curiously: So, if I and pikachu fall into water at the same time, you'll save who first?
Ash hesitate a bit, then spoke: Of course I'll save Pikachu first! (Ash being dense again)
Normally, Ash will say that immediately without any hesitate, but ever since having Serena kissed him, things seems a little bit changed as he was worked with his classmates to organize a big wedding ceremony for Professor Kukui and Professor Burnet's marriage in Alola. Serena did a little bit disappointed but she seemly aware that Ash begin to change.
Meanwhlie in somewhere else, there one male cleaner with blue hair and female cleaner with long pink hair and the cat-like mascot nearby. Does it looks familiar? Yes, they're Team Rocket trio.
Jessie, James and Meowth recieved the phone call from Giovanni.
"Giovanni Sir!" All said in union.
Giovanni: "Had you found the boy called Ash Ketchum?"
Jessie: "Yes! There's 2 twerp in the airport and one of them is Ash Ketchum sir!"
Giovanni: "And what's the name of another?"
James: "Her name is Serena sir! Those 2 twerps are about to heading to Hoenn! "
Giovanni: "So it's not Goh then...Well, what about Goh?"
James: "He's in the flight which heading to Kalos!"
Giovanni sighs: "I see...If only they're both in Kalos at the same time, I could've able to eliminate those 2 once and for all. Those 2 are the biggest threat to Team Rocket, with Ash now become the Pokemon Master which have the skill of defeat the entire Team Rocket Grunts and Goh had the ability of steal someone's Pokemon and had stole about 65% of Team Rocket's Pokemon" Finished speaking, Giovanni haven't speak for a while, seems like that Giovanni was distressed about how to deal with those 2.
Giovanni then started speaking again: "So, you three will go to Hoenn to do something to lure Ash. I know you guys might not able to defeat him, but it's more than enough to stall some time for preparing Team Rocket's Ultimate Program before he changed his mind and go to Kanto. While for Goh, it's better you three stay away with him because he literally stole our Grookey back then and I can't afford to lose our combat power even further. Plus we need to use that ability as the part of Team Rocket's Ultimate Program"
Team Rocket Trio: "So what if that twerps (Goh) raid Team Rocket HQ before the Ultimate Program finished?"
Giovanni: "Then I'll let him have that Ultimate Program. His lacks of understanding about the Pokemon Bond will easily being attracted by that Ultimate Program, which slowly corrupt his heart and conscience and will become part of us."
Team Rocket Trio: "Yes Sir!"
After Giovanni hang up the phone, Giovanni walked to the room and looking at the sleeping Armored Shadow Mewtwo and there's some giant four-legged snake shaped mecha-like thing behind the Armored Shadow Mewtwo (That Armor is the lighter than the Original Armor) and did some evil laughs.
Giovanni: Now I only need the "Ultimate Knowledge of Pokemon" left to complete the "Team Rocket's Ultimate Program, then the entire world will be in my hand..."
Meanwhile, Ash and Serena had boarded their flight.
Few hours later...
After Ash and Serena arrived Hoenn, they went to Petalburg City and knock the door.
Ash: Hello, I'm Ash, I'm looking for May, is anyone here?
When the door open, they saw Norman (May's dad)
Norman: (looking at Ash) Long time no see, Pokemon Master (looking at Serena) oh isn't that Hoenn champion?
Ash: Is May here?
Norman: Yes she's inside. You came at the right time, she just hide in her room for 12 hours and refuse to came out, can you help me to convince her?
Ash: Will do.
Ash knocks May's room.
Ash: I'm Ash, can you came out?
When Ash opened the door, he saw May sitting at sofa and her head war bowing down. While Max was sitting at behind and sighs.
Ash: May, I'm Ash, long time no see.
May didn't speak, she reply with sign language.
Max: She said, long time no see Ash.
May did some sign language again, and begin to cry.
Max: She said, is that the end of my Top Coordinator dream? But I...I...I...
Both Ash and Serena feels sorry and sad for seeing May had been reduced from such miserable situation.
Ash: Max, do you know what happened to May?
Max: She was diagnosed with some strange disease which affect her ability to speak.
Serena: Maybe we can find Jirachi to make a wish-
"Well I don't think Jirachi would be an option...because..." Ash sighs
Max opened his laptop and looking at the Pokemon Database, "Unfortunely, Jirachi isn't an option because it still have about 980 years before it woke up.
Seeing that both of her best friend and her boyfriend being very sad, with former suffers from the unknown disease which might ruin her career, and latter was very stressed and upset about that, Serena aware that the situation is so serious that it's not something like being defeated by some legandaries collector like Tobias in the Pokemon League, or being curb-stomped by some (once) very ruthless rival like Paul that can be either solved by hardwork or throw the snowball to him to makes him cheer up. May was suffer from some unknown disease and there's nothing Ash can do. Serena's heart feels like being stabbed by the scissors and she really, really want to do something to help them to getting out from such distress, unfortunely this dosen't help her from found any solution to help both.
"Serena?" Ash said
"Ash...May...I'm sorry...but..." Serena said
"Hey, did you forget that you have the press conference today?" May sent some text message to Serena
"But...what about you May?" Serena still worried about May
"Don't worry about me, we'll figure how to get over it, just like how you cutted your hair short back then!" May sent the text message to Serena
"I understand..." Serena was about to leaves "...hope you get well soon!"
"But I remember there's another pokemon that can able to make her speak again. I forget what it called, imma do some research."
Max: But wait, from what I remember there's some Pokémon can able to make her speak again, imma do some research first.
Ash, Serena: Thanks Arceus (Look at May) I'm sorry to hear that May, hope you recover soon and back to the stage
At press conference. There's a lot of reporters holding the camera and mic towards Serena, behind those reporters, there's a lot of the crowds who are sitting there, with Tierno was sitting at the front seat. When Serena arrived, the crowds cheers with Tierno literally shout her name.
At the last row, there's 2 reporters with long pink hair and short blue hair, and the very short people with the cat ears. The short blue hair reporters was playing around with his bottle cap. As you may guessed, they're team rocket trio.
Jessie: Hey James how many times did I told you to stop playing with your bottle cap!
James: Sorry Jessie...
Jessie was angered at Mewoth: Mewoth! Didn't you said that the 2 twerps will came here? Why there's only one twerps here?

Meanwhile, Norman walked inside the room while Caroline was watching the Serena's interview on TV outside the room.
Norman: Well she already sit for 12 hours straight and that would bad for her health, what about take her go outside for a while, Ash?
Ash and May agrees and went outside for a walk.
It's many years since last time Ash walk with May, he can't stop his brain from being filled with the memories of the travel during Hoenn (aka the entire Pokemon AG/ Ruby and Sapphire series).
