[Location: Orario, Hestia Familia's residence.]
Hestia, Bell and Link were currently in the small living room inside the church, the three of them were discussing about their supporter.
"I see...it's that supporter, huh?" Hestia asked with a serious look on her face from her.
"Yes. It looks like there are bad adventurers after her." Replied Bell, while Link was leaning against the wall with his arms crossed and eyes closed as he listened to the conversation.
"I was hoping we could let her stay here for a while."
"Bell." Hestia retorted, looking straight into Bell's eyes.
"Yes?"
"Is your supporter really trustworthy?"
Hearing this, Bell couldn't help but look at the goddess in surprise.
"I'm sorry. It's a bad thing to say, but I have to say it...From everything you've said, she seems really shady...Think about it. Did you really lose your kni-"
"Ehem!!"
At that moment, the Hylian in green interrupted the goddess as he was walking towards the stairs that led to the basement (which was his 'room'), and before going down the stairs, he looked at Hestia and with a serious face told her :
"Goddess, not to be rude, but I think you shouldn't judge a book by its cover..."
After saying that, the Hylian went downs to the basement and lay down on an old sofa (which he used as a bed), and began to think about how his supporter's look hid pain and hopelessness.
The next day.
[Location: City of Orario, Babel tower, Dungeon entrance.]
"The tenth floor?" Bell asked, surprised by the girl's suggestion.
"Yes, do you want to go there today? You're both strong enough to do it!" Lili said with an innocent tone.
"Well... I'm a level 3, and even I know that it could be dangerous, especially for you two, no offense." Link said worriedly.
"Hey!" His two companions exclaimed at the same time, making Link smile slightly.
"Other than that, Bell barely survived on the seventh floor yesterday thanks to your magic weapon and my arrows."
"L-Let's not talk about that anymore!" Bell exclaimed feeling embarrassed. "Besides, from the tenth floor, large monsters start showing up."
"I don't think that would be a problem, you're both really strong, besides Bell has that magic he showed us yesterday!" Replied Lili, as he mimicked Bell's hand move.
"You mean the magic Bell used until he passed out and caused him an awkward meeting with-"
*SMACK*
At that moment the argonaut had delivered a strong kick to the time hero's crotch, causing him to fall comically to the ground as he held on to the struck area.
Lili looked deadpanned at that scene and before she could ask Bell why she had done that, he only told her that he agreed to go to the tenth floor.
As the white-haired adventurer and the supporter entered the dungeon, Link continued to writhe on the ground in pain.
*Hylian pain noises* "…Ugh…My deku nuts…."
Minutes later.
[Location: Orario, Dungeon-Floor 10]
While Link was recovering after receiving a kick where it hurts the most, Lili had given Bell a baselard, with the excuse that her knife did not have the necessary range to fight large monsters.
Currently the three of them were walking towards the interior of the tenth floor.
"I really can't believe you kicked me at that specific point Bell, I held you in high esteem." Link said, reproaching his 'friend' for what he had done.
"S-Sorry Link I acted by reflex, I didn't mean to hit you in that specific spot, I was aiming for your stomach I-I swear!" Bell replied feeling embarrassed for kicking his friend in green.
"…Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, but I swear to you that one day I will take revenge for that…"
The Hylian's friendly threat made the Argonaut nervous and before the two of them notice, they had already reached the tenth floor.
The area seemed to be an underground forest, whose grass was white as snow, the trees that make up said forest seemed to be dry and withered, without any leaves present on its crown.
'Damm, and here I thought that the Lost Woods was the scariest forest I 've ever seen.' Link thought to himself as he contemplated the creepy landscape covered in a dense white mist.
"So this is the tenth floor?" Bell asked feeling overwhelmed by the atmosphere of the place.
"Yes. This is our goal for today." Replied the supporter, Link did not know why but he felt suspicious after hearing those words.
While the Hylian was lost in his thoughts, Bell walked over to one of the dead trees and examined them more closely.
"Lili, what's this?" Asked Bell curious.
"That's a Landform…But it looks like you don't have time to cut them all down." Lili replied, at the same time a deep growl caught the attention of both. In the distance a pair of red glowing eyes glowed in the darkness from which a rather large orc emerged.
"You mustn't run, Bell." Lili pointed out.
At that moment, Bell drew his baselard with a look full of determination. "Okay Link let's do this!"
"..."
"Link?" At that moment Bell turned around and to his surprise his partner was no longer in the room, at that moment the adventurer could see that there was a note stuck to a nearby tree branch.
My dear friend Bell, I'm sorry but I forgot something on my room, I'll be right back, don't wait for me.
-Signed: Link
P.S. This is your time to shine Bell, don't disappoint me.
P.S2. Also this is my revenge for the kick. :)
After reading the note, Bell couldn't help but feel frustrated by his partner's resentment, so ignoring what had happened with Link, he decided to fight the orc.
He first made a cut to the monster's abdomen, causing it to roar in pain, then he stabbed its leg and with one precise movement tore off said leg.
Taking advantage of the fact that the monster was lying on the ground, Bell jumped high and stabbed the orc directly in the chest, killing it instantly.
"Bell! Another one's coming!" Lili yelled, drawing the attention of the white-haired boy.
Another orc appeared from the shadows, at which time Bell stood up and pointed his hand in the monster's direction.
"Firebolt!"
From the boy's hand a ball of fire emerged in the direction of the orc, when it hit it did a little damage to the monster but exposed his magic stone.
"Firebolt!" Bell released another fireball, killing the monster on impact.
"I did it…I did it Lili!" Celebrated the adventurer, but his celebration was short-lived as he noticed the absence of his supporter in the surroundings.
"Lili, where are you? Oh no. Did a monster get her?"
At that moment several fruit-shaped objects fell throughout the area, after seeing them Bell couldn't help but feel horrified to realize what those objects were, they were 'monster lures'.
Suddenly several orcs appeared from the shadows and began to attack the adventurer. As he dodged the orcs' attacks, Bell frantically searched for his supporter.
"Lili, where are you!? Answer me!"
Suddenly an arrow cut the strap of the saddlebag where his knife was, and then another arrow tied to a rope caught said saddlebag.
Turning around, Bell was able to discover who was responsible for stealing his knife.
"Lili, what are you doing!?"
The supporter with the saddlebag in hand just smiled.
"Sorry, Bell. This is the end."
The Argonaut's shock was short-lived, as he had to move as the monsters continued to attack him.
"You heard everything from that guy, didn't you?" Lilly asked as she looked at Bell with a cold gaze.
"Wh-what?" Bell asked confused, as he jumped to avoid the club of one of the orcs.
At that moment, Lilly got up from the stairs and turned around. "Find a good opportunity to escape, okay? Goodbye, Bell." After saying that, Lili started walking upstairs, ignoring Bell Cranel's desperate screams.
[Location: Orario, Dungeon-Floor 04]
While Bell was fighting for his life, Liliruca Arde ran towards the upper floors, stunning monsters that got in his way. As she entered the fourth floor, Lili was intercepted by one of her family's adventurers.
"You got a big haul. Isn't that nice?" The adventurer said mockingly as he kicked the girl to the ground. "You've screwed with me for too long, you goddamn pru- Wah!"
At that moment, some kind of hook attached to a chain caught the foot of that adventurer, throwing him to the ground, and from out of nowhere the hero of time made an appearance, in his left hand he held his Hookshot, while in his right hand he had the Stone Mask.
*Sigh* "It seems you have fallen very much lowly this time, you don't deserve to call yourself an adventurer…" Link said as he packed his items into his magic saddlebag and drew the Master Sword.
Suddenly, three other adventurers from the Soma familia emerged from the dark corridors of the floor and seeing that there was someone else besides the pallum, they dropped the sacks in which they had captured Killer Ants.
"Damm you kid! If it hadn't been for you, we would have been able to get hold of the savings from that damn pall-" At that moment the adventurer was rudely interrupted as he was dragged away by several Killer Ants, which devoured him in seconds.
At that moment Link unsheathed the Mirror Shield from his back too, and began to fight the Killer Ants, while the ones that were captive inside the sacks kept calling for reinforcements.
While Link fought those insects, Liliruca Arde couldn't help but wonder why the Hylian had saved her. Why would someone as strong as Link risk her life for someone as pathetic as her? She didn't know the answer and deep down, that made her happy in a certain way.
At that moment the Killer Ants began to be too many for Link, so in a desperate move he got in front of Lili in a defensive pose.
'Damm it, there are too many, at this rate I will have to use "him"….' Link thought as the Killer Ants began to surround him.
"Firebolt!"
At that moment a ball of fire disintegrated some of the Killer Ants that surrounded Link and Lili. Out of the smoke emerged a certain white-haired boy.
"Bell!" Link exclaimed, as he watched as Bell fought a group of Killer Ants.
Between the two of them they made slashes and cuts, killing the monsters that dared to approach Lili and after a few minutes the area was clear.
"Lili, you're safe, right? Did they hurt you?" Bell asked, as Link put his sword and shield away.
"Bell, how did you get here?" the hylian asked.
"I couldn't really see it in the fog, but after Lili and you left, another adventurer came, I guess, and all the orcs around me disappeared. So I was able to follow Lili quickly, but I guess you bet me to it Link."
To the surprise of both boys, Lili began to cry.
"Lili, what's wrong?" Asked the argonaut.
"Why!? Why did you save me!? Why didn't you both abandon me!?" At that moment the supporter started to get angry and cry. "What is wrong with you two!? Are you morons!? Idiots!? Complete fools!? I'm a thief, a liar and a bad person! So why did you two save me!?
At that moment the two boys responded nervous and embarrassed.
"Because you're a girl?" Bell answered.
"Because it was the right thing to do." Link answered.
"You dummies!" Lili yelled at them.
Link approached Lili and put her hand on her shoulder, and just looked at her with a smile.
"Lili...if you're ever in any trouble, just remember you can talk to us, and count on us for anything."
Upon hearing those words the pallum began to cry louder and she suddenly hugged Link tightly as she cried.
"I'm sorry! I'm sorry!" The girl yelled apologizing.
Link just followed and returned the hug. "It's okay, let it all go...everything is okay..."
She didn't know why, but thanks to Link and Bell, Lili felt something she hadn't felt in a long time...
…hope.
