Bo and Lauren
Bo inhaled and sighed. She had planted her face in Lauren's hair while the Doctor slept. When it tickled her nose, she tried her best not to sneeze or laugh. She didn't want to wake the woman up yet either. Lauren hadn't said much after she came home yesterday. They had dinner, watched a movie, and went to bed.
Lifting her head, she smiled at how adorably Lauren slept. She had a faint smile on her face and looked deep in thought. She almost had the same look she had when she had fallen asleep on Bo's couch at the clubhouse. But she didn't look as tired.
Bo took a soft breath and looked at the Doctor again. She was asleep under Bo, and Bo was under her spell and the blonde hadn't even cast a spell on her. She felt her heart fall into Lauren. She smiled and pulled her closer. Love seemed like such a small word to describe how the Succubus was feeling at that exact moment. After the movie ended last night, she found herself being ravished like Lauren had never done to her before. She could have sworn her Succubus had been completely sated and embarrassed at Lauren's prowess. But she would never tell anyone that. So, what if she did? It is Lauren. The woman no Fae had ever thought was good enough for Bo. Hell, at times quietly inside of her mind, Bo thought that too. But it was too painful to say out loud and it would have given other Fae a sense that they were going to get Bo to sleep with them or fall in love with them.
Bo had never fell in love with anyone since Kyle, and even then that wasn't as massive as this is right now. It's not even about the hours and hours of love that they made last night. It is about that Lauren had come back to Bo. Lauren had removed her, and Bo's handprints and the Succubus was finally feeling free to love. Free to love like Lauren had thanked Bo for with that necklace. The Succubus smiled as she clutched it tight against her chest. Unbeknownst to Lauren, Bo keeps it in her nightstand. She holds it in the deep of night. She kisses it when she is not wearing it. She almost thought about getting it tattooed on her body. But she wants something to squeeze and to hold. A symbol of their love when the Doctor is not around.
The clock read early morning. Bo closed her eyes and settled into Lauren again. She felt the tips of fingers pull her closer. She smiled and closed her eyes, hard
Lauren sighed as Bo found another spot on her to sleep on. She smiled as she went back to her dream. She was in the kitchen cooking breakfast for their kids while Bo was helping them get dressed, and their backpacks ready for school. Something they took turns doing every other day.
Lauren smiled as she walked into the living room for something and saw a toy stethoscope on the couch. She didn't buy it. Bo did. She wasn't ready to put her profession on their children. Bo just found it adorable that one was blonde like Lauren and rattled off scientific words like her scientist mother.
Their son was already into sports. Bo had bought two basketball goals. One for inside and the other stood in the driveway. They often parked inside the garage in case they wanted to play him in a game. Lauren was insistent that they be allowed to try whatever they want to try. They certainly had the money for it since Lauren expanded and opened two more clinics. She laughed thinking about when the babies were born. Bo would run around frantic she was going to do something wrong. Change a diaper wrong, but Lauren had trained her on how to handle it.
She opened her eyes and shook her head. She was living a life Bo hadn't gotten to yet. She kissed the Succubus on her forehead and squeezed her hard against her.
Hours later they sat at their dining room table giggling over their orange juice glasses.
"We should check on the lot and see how the house is coming along". Lauren said seriously.
"I trust you with it. I don't think Dad is in a rush to get here. He still has so much to do back home". Bo set her glass down and dug into her food. People would find it strange that a powerful Succubus would waste time on human foods, but those people had never eaten Lauren's cooking. It was far better than Mary's cooking had ever been. But this wasn't a time to think of her childhood. This is a time to plan her adulthood. Now that things were slowly and finally falling into place. She could focus on them again. Now that they are them again.
She sighed. She knew they would fight again, that's expected. She just hopes it is nothing compared to what they just went through. Lauren had never looked at her so hard like that before. It scared her in more ways that one. She didn't even know about Lauren years ago. Then she met her and wanted to know everything about her. She knows she still has a lot to learn, and she is going to enjoy every lesson.
"True. But I like to get things going and in order. That is going to be a beautiful house. We will build it, and he can decorate it". Lauren took a bite of her food and set the fork down to wipe her mouth with a napkin.
Bo nodded and finished her plate off. "Want to go for a walk?
"Sure". Lauren smiled as they both stood and took their plates and glasses into the kitchen. Once everything was loaded into the dishwasher, they locked up their house and walked down the stairs.
They reached the street and looked back and forth.
"Which way? Lauren asked.
"Let's go this way first". Bo smiled as she pulled the Doctor by her hand.
They both squeezed the other's hands as they walked down the street. Bo took a deep breath and took in nature. They walked talking about nothing. Talking about everything. Talking about them. Talking about love. There is a long road ahead of them, and they walked slowly down it.
Tamsin and Kenzi
"So, what is this weakness you think Lauren has? Tamsin scoffed.
"Lauren's a doctor. Her weakness is the ill. All we have to do is find someone on their deathbed and lure her in." Kenzi said quietly.
"Kenz you are being silly and forgetting one gigantic problem". Tamsin laughed.
"Dude it will work". Kenzi said.
"Dude no it won't. Do I need to spell out the big problem that you are overlooking or choosing to overlook? Tamsin asked seriously.
"What is that? Kenzi asked.
"Bo's Succubus you little shit. Lauren is her weakness. Do you really think she will allow you to do anything to Lauren? Even if it's only humiliation? Tamsin asked as she walked around the table where Kenzi was sitting.
"Damn it". Kenzi sighed. "But it's still Bo in there. All I want is Bo back. She's family and we don't give up on family. I thought I taught you that".
"Lauren is her family. If she wanted us anywhere around them, she would have come for us! Tamsin screamed. She loves Kenzi. Just not the bullshit way she was thinking right now.
"Bo is not being herself. She was so hell bent on getting Lauren back, that she forgot about me. Us. Our friendship. Being sisters. All of it. I never said we were going to harm Lauren, just use her as bait to get to Bo". Kenzi explained as calmly as she could. Tamsin seemed to be the only friend she had left in the world now. The only Fae one for sure.
"Dumb idea Kenzi. It is really a dumb idea. So much backlash can come from this. Not to mention the other resident Succubus that has grown to love Lauren too. This won't be good. Trust me". Tamsin shook her head as she walked around the table. Kenzi was still sitting rolling a glass in her hands. Taking two more steps, she stopped.
Kenzi set the glass down and pushed it to the middle of the table. "You don't understand, Bo is all I had. All I had. I can't go home. My mom's horrid and my cousins are worse. Bo found me and saved me. I can't forger that. I won't forget that".
"I am not saying you have to, but Bo is with Lauren now. She's her family. She's her love. You saw what happened between them. Dyson is dead, and Bo has never backed off from Lauren. Not once. She's her whole focus. Sorry Kenzi but you need to find a focus that won't get either of us killed. I'm human now. I am vulnerable just like you. I don't want to die anytime soon". Tamsin said as softly as she could. She had heard about Kenzi's family. It was never for the faint of heart, and her heart broke for her, but they were still alive. Screwing around with Bo and Lauren would never be a good idea.
"You don't get it Tamsin. But you don't have to. I know what Bo means to me and I know what I mean to Bo. She will come around. She just has to". Kenzi stood and walked over to get a fresh glass of water.
Tamsin shook her head. They were far from Bo and Lauren. Or so she hoped. Being Vex's humans is shit in a can. There is nothing glamorous about it at all.
Aife
The Succubus grinned wide with glee as she spotted the Mesmer. He looked like he'd been sleeping on the streets and hadn't bathed in days. Or he was trying to keep someone from spotting him.
"Hello Vex! Aife laughed.
The Mesmer bowed his head and tried to scurry away, but she was already in his face.
"Now. Now. It is rude to ignore people". Aife laughed.
"What the hell do you want? Vex asked.
"I heard Lauren kicked you in the balls last night. I'm just here to see if you still have them". Aife laughed again.
"If you don't like how I'm handling Tamsin and Kenzi, you're welcome to take them off my hands." Vex huffed.
"Hell no. It is much more fun this way. I would never go against my daughter or Lauren. So good luck boy". Aife laughed and slapped him as she left him on the sidewalk.
Vex rolled his eyes. When he came across Kenzi and Bo way back when, he never thought it would lead to this. Lauren was a Light Fae Doctor, completely none of his business. Tamsin was still new and old on the scene. He didn't even know where Kenzi and Tamsin are at the moment, and a part of him didn't care. The part that does care knows it can't be all that bad since Aife never mentioned them being in trouble again. He groaned and knew he needed to find them before trouble finds him.
Bo and Lauren
"Well that's it. We've walked from one end of the road to the next and back home again". Bo smiled as they climbed the steps to the house.
"Bo are you happy like this? Really happy? Lauren turned around.
"Of course. Why? Aren't you? Bo asked worriedly.
"I am. I am just wondering if there is something going on with you that I don't know about". Lauren said as she took a seat on the steps.
Bo smiled and followed her lead. "I'm happy Lauren. I am more than happy. I know we still have a bit of tension between us, but that can and will be worked out over time".
"Bo..". Lauren sighed.
"I saw our kids in your aura earlier. Earlier when you were still sleeping. That makes me more than happy knowing we are going to have such a beautiful, loving family". Bo bent down and kissed Lauren's stomach.
"That's not how you make a baby". Lauren laughed.
"I know. But I can do that anytime that I want to". Bo smiled as she playfully slapped Lauren's leg.
"I don't know. I just feel like we are stuck right now. Stuck in a rut. I know I blew things way out of proportion, but I needed to get Hades hatred out of me, and I took that out on you. I will be forever sorry about that. I guess without his handprint, I am feeling a bit lost. Like I don't deserve you, these powers or this life". Lauren said seriously.
"Come on. Let's go inside, it is getting chilly out here." Bo pulled Lauren to her feet, unlocked the door and gestured for Lauren to walk in first.
Bo lit the fireplace as Lauren waited on the couch with wine for the both of them.
"Lauren this is my fault. I have never been that good with words. I figured my actions would tell my feelings. But thinking of us that hasn't been true either. But what is true is that I am happy. I am over the earth happy. Over the moon happy. Have our lives been easy? No. But no life is. I should be asking if you are happy. You have nightmares, that I can't stop from coming back. Pain that I have added to. I am ready for all of it. The tears. The fears. The hate. The love. I know there is so much more to you that I don't know yet. As I am sure there is a lot to me that you don't know yet. This is not a front or fake. I love you. All of you. I am here forever. I am happy forever". Bo smiled as she wiped Lauren's tears away with her fingers.
"I know. I know my nightmares are horrible. I can't control them or know when they will show up. I am sorry that I hurt you. I didn't know I was doing that. I never considered the consequences when I enlisted. I just wanted to help people. Heal people". Lauren dried her own tears in embarrassment.
"You do heal people. You heal me. You don't always have to use your hands or medical equipment to heal people. Sometimes just being you is enough. You're enough for me. I wish I could make it all go away. My pulse powers could but I don't want to risk changing anything about you." Bo whispered.
Lauren threw her empty wine glass to the ground, and pinned Bo to the couch. The Succubus shuddered at the Doctor's touch. Her tongue was doing magic in her mouth. Before she knew what happened she had already exploded all over the Doctor. She cringed thinking they might have ruined the couch. Lauren collapsed on top of her, and she didn't mind at all. The Doctor was sweaty and warm, and Bo loved all of it.
"You know that wasn't fair. I thought we were just going to talk". Bo laughed.
"You could have said no". Lauren panted.
"Yeah like that is ever going to happen". Bo played with Lauren's hair and kissed her forehead.
Lauren smiled and closed her eyes. She listened to Bo's heart beating and it was such a peaceful sound. She snapped her fingers and they were in the shower. Bo washed Lauren's everything and the doctor did the same for her.
They walked out wrapped in towels and robes. The steam followed them.
"Do you feel pregnant yet? Lauren asked.
"Wait…what?! Bo laughed.
"I am your Doctor and I do believe I asked my patient a question". Lauren walked slowly to her medical bag.
"Hey! I thought you were going to carry first". Bo laughed.
"No, you get the first one". Lauren winked over her shoulder.
"Lauren Lewis you will pay for this". Bo fell on the bed in laughter.
"Easy now. Don't hurt my baby". Lauren teased as she walked over.
"Our baby". Bo sat up on her elbows. Bo playfully rolled her eyes and stuck her arm out so Lauren could draw some blood.
"I'll put a rush on it". Lauren said as she stood and left the room. Bo laughed and fell back on the bed.
Life with Lauren was never going to be boring. Bo wasn't offended or felt taken advantage of at all. Lauren was right, she could have said no. That kiss they had weeks ago showed her they would be parents someday. So, she was starting to prepare for it to happen. She just thought Lauren would carry them. She smiled wide knowing Lauren wants her to carry the first one or two. Probably a good idea since Lauren is a Doctor. She can watch what Bo does, what she doesn't do.
She jumped up when Lauren returned and frowned at the Doctor's aura.
"Oh Lauren". Bo said quietly.
Lauren just shook her head. She was ready for this. Ready to be a mother. A working mother. Working on her relationship. Working on being a mother. Working as a Doctor. She wanted all of it. But it wasn't to be yet.
"I'd pounce on you like you did me, but that wouldn't be as hot or romantic". Bo kneeled in front of Lauren. The Doctor was in tears. "It will be okay babe. I promise it will".
"Let's go to bed". Lauren pulled Bo up with her. They pulled their robes off and slept naked. Bo held Lauren until she fell asleep.
Who cries over not being pregnant yet when they literally have forever? Bo shook her head. Who cries over not being pregnant with a monster like she always thought she was? That was wrong of her to think so she disposed of those thoughts. She would talk to her mother about it tomorrow but tonight belongs to Lauren. She belongs to Lauren.
