"We're looking for new talent. Stunning musical and visual skills are a must. With a brand new style that everyone will die for. You have two weeks to send in your videos." the announcer said on Marin's phone as he pressed the pause button just as the video ended. He was standing before the Kitty Section band in the Couffaine boathouse.
"A business acquaintance of mine sent me this promo, it's a perfect opportunity to showcase Kitty Section's new song isn't it?" Marin explained while the rest of the band had a mix of excitement but also uncertainty.
"It is, but the song isn't even finished." Ivan pointed out as he sat on the sofa next to Rose and Juleka.
"It will be if Rose and I work together." Luka said as he stood next to Marin. "Mar and I already went over the minor details and we both think that we can actually do this if we all pull our weight."
Marin nodded as he placed his phone back into his back pocket."And as this band's unofficial manager it's my one job to look for an opportunity to showcase your talent. You guys work so hard on every song just for a few hundred views online. But if we're able to reach a broader audience on a show that everyone watches then there's no way you'll be overlooked!"
"That sounds like a lot of work for a two weeks..." Juleka mumbled under her breath as Rose grasped her arm in support for the band.
"I've already been workshopping costume idea for the past few weeks- even before the contest was announced so this is the opportune moment to show them off. I'll be able to assemble them in about a week and then spend the rest of my free time shooting and editing. But if we can all work together we can get this done in time I know it."
"I think it's a great idea!" Rose chimed with a bright smile on her face. "It'll be fun to perform like this!" She said earnestly causing everyone around her to smile.
"We're in agreement then?" Luka asked as the rest of the band nodded.
Marin took a deep breath as he realized that it was getting late. "I have to hurry and get started on the costumes at home, but I'll text photos of the designs to the group chat." He said as he started to gather his things into his messenger bag.
Behind him he didn't notice Rose and Luka having an intense silent argument sharing expressions through eye contact and gestures until eventually Luka sighed heavily at his friend and spoke up, shooting an annoyed glance at Rose who gave him a supportive thumbs up.
"I'll walk you out." Luka offered just as Marin turned back around, taking notice that Ivan and Juleka were looking very confused as to what just happened between their band members.
" Are you going to be okay doing this?" Luka asked as they walked up the stairs together towards the deck.
"Of course it's no problem!" Marin insisted as he placed a hand on his forearm. "It's been a few days since the brace was removed, it's still sore but other than that a-okay." He insisted.
"Well if you need any help just let me know." Luka said as the air quickly grew stale between them.
The moment they stepped out of the room and walked towards the deck Marin took a deep breath placing a hand on his chest feeling a heavy anxiety lifted from his shoulders. "Thanks for supporting me back there."
"You don't need to thank me, it's thanks to you that we even know about this contest." Luka said as he shoved his hands in his pockets.
"Yeah, but you know I'm not great at...speaking." Marin said nervously, but as he was about to touch the back of his neck he froze in place and instead pulled it back.
Luka noticed this as he also took note that Marin's shirt was buttoned all the way up which was unusual, as he usually favored a more casual look. For some reason, he seemed tense, but not his usual tenseness, this seemed to be more on edge than anything.
Luka chuckled to himself, "Right, I know about that first hand." He said trying to tease him a little.
"Ha." Marin laughed dryly, clutching the strap of his messenger bag. "Sorry for troubling you about...you know, back then." He said growing more sheepish at the embarrassing memory.
"Don't worry about it, I was happy to help." Luka said, prompting him with a playful smile as they crossed the bridge. "How'd it turn out?"
Marin almost tripped over his own feet but was luckily save my Luka who quickly wrapped her arm around his waist to steady him. "Ha-I uh, kinda hoped you forgot about that whole mess." Marin said looking flustered as he fidgeted with his blazer.
Luka chuckled to himself as he retracted his arm. "Kind of hard to forget something like that since you asked me to reherse something that's so personal."
"Well, I figured you wouldn't really care about something silly like that." Marin said wanting to bleach the embarrassing memory from his mind along with this current conversation.
"We're friends, why would you think that?" Luka asked.
"...Because I hoped that you'd choose to forget my juvenileness." Marin said hiding his face in his hands, but knew that this wasn't something that could be avoided. "It uh...it didn't go, me saying the thing and the words that is."
"It didn't?" Luka prompted as grin faded as an ugly feeling in his chest started to grow.
"Yeah..." Marin said with a hollow smile that was clearly trying to reassure him. "He likes someone else."
"...Oh." Luka only said aloud as he saw Marin starting brush off the heavy atmosphere growing around them.
"OKAY WELL- I'll see you later Luka!" Marin said running off, leaving his friend behind.
"See ya..." Luka said holding him holding up his have to wave to his friend. He stood under the setting sun as more stars began to appear, He clutched his shirt, squatting down as he tried to remove that ugly feeling that began to bubble up; something that made him feel immensely guilty.
A few weeks later after having sent the video Marin was looking down at his phone while the band finished off their practice feeling butterflies flutter in his stomach while waiting on any news.
"You staring at the phone won't make the email be sent out faster." Luka said, as he saw Marin constantly rechecking his phone. He sighed heavily, unable to put the device down. "They must've received a ton of videos. They probably haven't made their pick yet."
"I...don't know." Marin admitted tapping his foot on the ground. "I mean, like the video, I think it turned out well, but what if it's not good enough? What if the deciding factor is the better video and you guys just stuck with an amateur's skills?"
Luka hummed to himself as he rested his arms on the counter, looking at his friend who was fixated on this. "Who wouldn't it be good enough for? The video itself is great whether we win or not, everyone knows that.
Marin shot him a wry smile but still held onto his phone, looking anxious. "Right..."
Luka frowned as he realized his words weren't enough to ease his friend, but then an idea sparked in his head as he eyed the kitchen just across from them. "I think I may have an idea."
"Are you sure about this?" Marin asked with some concern as he looked at all the ingredients set out on the counter in the kitchen.
"Sure, why not?" Luka said after placing his own wimple black apron on. "It's baking a cake how hard could it be?" He suggested the idea as he and everyone else knew how much their friend loved to make and cook in general. This seemed like the best way to help their unofficial manager take his mind off of the stress of waiting.
Marin opened his mouth to respond but no words came out, unable to think up a proper response to his question.
"Marin! Could you help us put on the costumes for a sec? I really want to take a few photos with Juleka!" Rose called out eagerly as she walked down the deck.
"Sure," He called back. "You can start without me" Marin said placing a hand on Luka's shoulder, which immediately caused Luka to become uneasy, thinking about the prospect of being in the kitchen by himself.
"...Mar I think I may be out of my comfort zone on this." Luka said with some newly found concern as he watched his safety net leave the room.
"It's really simple, baking is fundamentally just following the directions and being precise," Marin insisted, placing his apron aside as followed Rose. "Don't worry the recipe I picked out is really simple, it's just a simple sponge cake."
Luka pulled up the recipe that Marin had pulled on on the tablet looking it over once before quickly realizing that he had no idea what he was doing. "How hard can this be?" He said to himself, shrugging off his unease as he he poured some flour into a bowl and throwing in whatever was on the list of ingredients.
A smile drew on Marin's face as he took a few photo's of Rose and Juleka together in their costumes. However, amidst their fun they all snapped out of it as they heard a familiar melody and turned their attentions to the TV station where the source was being broadcast from. On the screen, they say the performer XY playing Kitty Section's song and wearing a cardboard version of their costumes.
"...Oh that's no good." Marin sad as Rose suddenly exclaimed.
"Hey that's Luka's melody!" She said in disbelief as they looked on, unable to comprehend what was exactly happening. So much so that they didn't notice Juleka running down the stairs.
Marin held up his phone to record the broadcast for a few moments and then sent the video to Ivan who responded immediately from a video call.
"What's going on?!" Ivan asked angrily seemingly from the park. "That's our song!"
"And your costume designs!" Rose said angrily as Luka walked up on the deck, covered in flour.
"What the heck is going on?" He asked as he looked up at the billboard The rest of them were, looking on in a wave of rare anger that Marin had never seen before.
"There better be a good explanation for this." Marin said trying to be reasonable though he felt a pit in his stomach open up at the thought of confrontation.
Outside the TV studio the four of them, with Ivan saying that he was on his way, were prevented from entering.
"No guests without a pass are allowed in." One of them said.
"But this is important! Our song is being stolen!" Rose insisted ready to taken on the two guards that were easily three times her size, but was being held back by Juleka.
The guards scoffed after exchanging an amused glance. "Even if that was true miss it's not our problem, if you have an issue take it up with the studio manager."
"We did! But everytime we call we're taken straight to voicemail!" Rose exclaimed again growing more agitated by the second.
"How are we going to get in?" Marin asked as he noticed Luka was standing to the side while Rose was still yelling at the security guards. He saw Luka waving towards him and in response, Marin discretely stepped aside and then ran towards his friend who was now standing in front of an open door.
"What are you doing?!" Marin harshly whispered.
"Someone was leaving, and I saw a chance." Luka informed. "Come on." He said not giving Marin a chance to respond before they both saw Rose full on yelling and drawing a crowd while Marin pushed Luka through who was trying to hold back his laughter at the scene.
"Wow! Lovin' the new look, XY! You've really outdone yourself this time. How did you come up with a style that's so... original?"
"It's all in here."
Both Luka and Marin overheard the sounds of the cast recording as the live broadcast went on.
"This is such a 180 from your last record! This might be your best yet! So tell me, where did you get the inspiration for all this new material?"
"Oh, it's nothing really. I came up with the whole song in 5 minutes." XY said nonchalantly.
"In 5 minutes?" Luka said gritting his teeth together angrily. "He couldn't even sing it the way it's supposed to be sung!"
Marin nodded in agreement but his eyes were on a familiar record producer which helped to shed some light on the situation. He pushed in the door first and approached the much older balding man. Any anxiety about the situation disappeared as righteous anger took hold. "Mr. Roth! My name's Marin Dupain-Cheng, I believe we've met before. I'm the one who sent you the Kitty Section video." He said as the processed looked back at him with some expression of disgust in his eyes, looking down at him as though he were an insect needing to be squashed.
"Video? What video? I don't know what you're talking about, brat."
Marin didn't back down as he took out his phone. "Maybe I can jog your memory? Look!" He said as he held up the video they sent into the contest. "The costumes, the mask, the music, the dance moves. They're all the same!"
However, Roth scoffed as he crossed his arms. "There's no comparison! This here is some amateur garage band. My son is a solo artist. You guys play instruments, his music is all digital. Our costume is much cooler, and our masks are nothing like yours."
"That's not true! You just copied Marin's costume design!" Luka exclaimed and then turned to XY who approached them.
"Oh, come on. Let's not exaggerate now. We may have just been a little bit... inspired, that's all." The pop star tried to insist, lightening the situation but that only made Luka angrier.
"Inspired? You flat out stole! You didn't design this mask! Don't you have any shame? You're not even a real musician! Just some corporate fake!"
"Hey!" XY shot back as Luka took his mask from his head.
"Listen, it's not too late to do the right thing. Just tell the truth and give Kitty Section the credit that they deserve. That's all we're asking." Marin said trying to be more reasonable, though he was surprised at how heated Luka has become about this.
However, his diplomacy was met with scorn as Roth laughed in their faces. "Credit? I don't know what you're talking about brat. XY is a very talented musician, of course, these clear Jagged Stone fans will say anything to try and impede my son's successes, even trying to go so far as to create a fake video to try and frame him. Who the heck would believe the word of two brats over that of a veteran of the industry? It may even be grounds to get a restraining order to keep you crazy fans away for our own safety."
Luka glared angrily at the two but didn't want to bring his friend into this anymore. "Forget it, Mar. It's no big deal. Let's just go." But much to his surprise, his friend stepped away.
"What? No! It's not fair! Stealing is a crime!"
"What stealing?" XY asked with a smug expression. "It's not like you can prove anything."
Marin took out his phone showing an app that was recorded on his phone to the producer and the pop star much to their shock. "I was advised beforehand to record anything that you two said. So let's start this again. Either you tell the truth or else-HEY!" Marin started saw before Roth grabbed his arm, much to his shock, causing him to drop his phone as XY grabbed it, laughing victoriously as the recording was deleted before his phone was thrown to the ground.
"Listen here brat, you're 30 years too early to even be messing with a guy like me." Roth said, towering over him as Marin had knelt down to pick up his phone. "No matter what you say to whom, I will always find a way to turn this again you. Now that I'm the one who has proof that you two will do anything to prove your point you can kiss that little safety net of yours goodbye. I've got all the music biz eating out of my hand. So who do you think they're gonna believe? Me, or a group of nobodies?
Roth laughed as he released him with a grin that made his stomach curl " Not quite so cocky now, are we?"
In that moment Marin became distracted from the familiar feeling of negativity of an Akuma fluttering by. The next thing he knew he saw XY being grabbed as a new villain placed his hand over mouth, releasing something from the pop star's throat, what looked to be a purple jellyfish.
"W-What is that?!" Roth exclaimed as the villain absorbed the jellyfish into his helmet.
XY tried to yell at the villain but his voice didn't come out at all much to their shock, but then was thrown aside as the villain took a step towards Roth. The producer quickly panicked tripping over his feet while the villain approached him.
"Luka!" Marin exclaimed aloud as reflexively he grabbed the villains'- his friends'- arm as he tried to chase down the executive who had escape while the villain was distracted. "What are you doing?!"
The villain turned back to him with a silent determination in his eyes. "I will use the power Hawkmoth has given me to enact justice. I will force Bob Roth to admit what he has done to you and Kitty Section so everyone can see what kind of scum he really is."
Immediately Marin shook his head in disbelief. "Don't do that, Luka. That isn't justice that's just revenge! Please, just wait for Chat Noir and Ladybug I know they'll help-"
"Chat Noir and Ladybug?" The villain exclaimed in disbelief causing Marin to flinch. "Who's to say that creep won't just manipulate them as well? No, this is something I'll handle on my own. As of right now, Silencer will enforce justice to those without a voice."
As the villain tried to pull his arm back Marin wouldn't let go. In one swift motion Marin trapped his friend in a headlock. "I can't let you do that Luka. I won't let you be manipulated by Hawkmoth-" Marin said but then he felt weightless as Silencer used his enhanced strength to pin him against the ground. "Luka, this isn't ri-" Marin tried to say but Silencer pressed his fingers against his lips, similar to what he did with XY and immediately he felt a pit in his stomach grow as he quickly realized there was no reasoning with Silencer.
"That is what I love most about you Mar, you care too much about other people even when they don't deserve it." Silencer remarked while Marin struggled to escape. "I know you well Marin." Silencer said with a hint of sincerity in his distorted voice, reminding Marin of Luka for a moment. "You're an extraordinary person; clear as a musical note and as sincere as a melody. You're the music that's been playing inside my head since the day we first met. I won't let anything happen to you. But I also know that if I left you to your devices then you'd just try to get in my way." Silencer said as he stole Marin's voice, a light pink jellyfish with white spots appeared from his mouth and was quickly stolen by Silencer.
Adrien hummed to himself as he practiced piano while Plagg was watching a cheese special on the history channel. The Kwami drooled over the sight of the process of making Camembert, but then took notice of someone jumping over the rooftops.
"Adrien, come see this." Plagg called out, catching his partner's attention.
"What is it? Ladybug?" He questioned.
"Pft, not likey, I'd recognize those ridiculous spots anywhere." Plagg laughed as Adrien rolled his eyes with a small touching his lips.
"Plagg, claws on!"
Chat Noir jumped across the rooftops and landed on the landing on the office belonging to the mayor of the city, just in time to overhead the last part of a conversation that a newly Akumatized villain had with the mayor tied up nearby.
"Don't worry, I'll send the police in right away! Mayor Bourgeois here. Get me Officer Roger." The villain said, but then froze for a moment before throwing a punch Chat Noice's way, which he easily evaded by jumping into the room and drawing his staff.
"Chat got your tongue helmet head?" Chat Noir quipped as he earned the glare from the villain. "Mayor." Chat Noir greeted to the tied-up mayor still struggling on the ground nearby.
Just as Chat Noir was prepared to attack, saw the villain jump out of the window.
"Hm." He hummed to himself as he quickly released the mayor from being tied up. "Any chance you caught that guy's name?" He asked, but was met with the mayor unable to speak. "...This could be an issue."
Silencer had unfortunately tied Marin to chair using the reinforced cables that were used for the film equipment on set. As much as he tried to struggle he couldn't break free of the binding, nor try and shrug them off. Tikki in turn tried used her strength to bite away the cables as well, but to no avail and was quickly growing more and more concerned.
"What do we do if you can't transform?!" She asked in a panic as the situation was starting to worry her.
Marin shook his head, wanting so much to try and ease her concerns but even he was getting more worried. Suddenly he heard footstep growing faster as they closed in and he immediately jerked his head to warn Tikki, who hid just in time to see the doors burst open to reveal Chat Noir.
For a second the two made eye contact as he could see Chat Nor's ears twitch a bit and a small cheeky smile drew on his face. "Chat got your tongue, my prince?" Chat Noir said, awaiting a usual retort but unfortunately did not receive one. "Yeesh, rough crowd today." The hero remarked under his breath as he ran to his friend's side quickly trying to undo the knots. "So-hey, did you know there's some Silencer running around the TV station or did you just tie yourself up just for the fun of it?" He asked as Marin felt the binding around him loosen.
Marin nodded at Chat Noir and then pointed at his own throat, standing before him.
"He got you too?" Chat Noir guessed as Marin nodded once more.
"Why would he go after you though? Does he have something against kindly bakers or rich people?" Chat Noir asked as he handed Marin his baton to type on. In a few seconds he read out the message that Marin typed. "[Silencer is my friend Luka, he became upset at Bob Roth and is planning on forcing a confession from him.] Okay, still a little unclear on the rest of the details but Silencer is the bad guy got it." Chat Noir nodded as he grabbed Marin's hand leading him outside the room. "First things first, you need to get out of here-"
Immediately Marin stood in place shaking his head as he typed on the baton again.
"[Silencer is still my friend-]" Chat Noir read aloud. "Yeah, I know he's your friend, but right now it would be safer it-" Chat Noir's ears twitched as he heard a few people approached using his heightened hearing. "Okay we're not arguing about this." Chat Noir said as he then threw Marin into a nearby room which turned out to be a dressing room. "You're waiting in here until me and my partner take out- I mean save, your friend. Okay bye!"
Marin slammed against the door just as Chat Noir locked it from the outside, preventing his escape. Marin cursed under his breath as he looked around the room seeing if there was anything he could use to escape.
"You didn't say what we're going to do!" Tikki said as she floated by her partner who placed out his messenger bag on the makeup table. He took out his sketchbook and a pen quickly writing down something.
"[We need to get my voice back first, somehow we need to destroy Silencers' helmet.]" Tikki read aloud. "
Chat Noir waited atop the rafters in the studio, waiting for both Silencer and his partner- mostly his partner- as prepared to strike at any second. He narrowed his eyes as he saw the producer, Bob Roth being thrown into the studio quickly followed by Silencer who already had the camera prepared.
"Dear viewers, we're back on the air for an exclusive interview with Bob Roth. He has something very important to announce-"
"Which is going to come after these messages!" Chat Noir called out as he jumped down from the rafters and knocking the camera to the ground my to Silencers shock. But it was short-lived as the villain immediately ran after the hero, punching and kicking him in order to incapacitate him. However Chat Noir kept his distance.
"Keep your nose out of other people's business, kitty, or I'll silence you!" Silencer exclaimed in a distorted voice as he continued his attack.
"Like you silenced your little friend?" Chat Noir remarked as he leaned on his staff. He could see Silencer flinch slightly but didn't back down.
"It really is a shame, I think we both know he's a real sweetheart, so what oh what could he have done to try and earn the silent treatment?" The hero said as he evaded more of Silencer's attacks who glared at the hero's insinuation.
"You wouldn't understand! If you really were a hero you'd be helping me instead of fighting me!" Silencer retorted. "Anyone who defends that kind of scum is an enemy."
"Yet-and last time I checked- you're the one who's going around silencing people! If you ask me that's some sweet irony right there-" Chat Noir said just as Silencer used a nearby lift to knock Chat Noir aside, following it up with a swift kick to the gut against the railing within the studio, causing him to tumble over. Chat Noir regained his stand, and quickly activated his power.
"Cataclysm!" He yelled aloud as his destructive power coursed through his hand. Once again he took on Silencer, intent on taking out his helmet but instead he was flipped on to his chest, feeling his arms being pinned behind his back. He struggled to escape but to no avail as his arms were bound.
Just as Chat Noir felt ring about to be taken away the lights shut off in the room, causing pitch blackness. He couldn't see what had happened, but he overhead the doors opening and closing just as he felt a heavy weight on his back.
As he was able to escape and gain some distance he saw that Silencer was passed out without his helmet, meaning that someone had probably hit him from behind. Chat Noir stood there for a second, now uncertain of what to really do other than to tie up the villain and hope that Ladybug was the one who took the helmet.
Over and over again Marin yelled apologies in his head to his friend as he tossed aside a metal folded chair and ran into a closet. He quickly smashed the helmet, breaking the glass and releasing the voices as well as the akuma. He spotted his own voice, and immediately put the small creature on his mouth causing his voice to return.
Tikki on the other hand swallowed the akuma in her mouth smiling victoriously at her friend.
"Thank you Tikki, now- Spots on!"
Chat Noir cradled his head as everything seemingly turned back to normal, as evident by the magic Ladybug's. He was then helped to his feet by his partner.
"Fashionably late I see." Chat Noir remarked, happy to see his friend.
"Sorry." Ladybug apologized. "Looks like you handled yourself well without me though." He complimented as he saw Roth tied up to a chair while Luka was still cradling a headache. "Are you okay?" He asked helping the older boy to his feet.
But before Luka could say anything Roth spoke up instead, laughing victoriously.
"HA! The ladybug and cat got you. Serves you right! What did you think, kid? That I was going to tell everybody the truth? That I stole Kitty Section's song and your brat's costumes, so I could give them to my talentless son? You didn't think that superheroes would come to save me, huh? That's right! You and your cronies will never ever work in...What's up with you guys? Why are you all smiling like that?!" Roth's bravado started to fade as he saw that he wasn't getting the reaction that he wanted, then his eyes widened in shock as he spotted Chat Noir holding up the camera he had knocked over earlier.
"Funny thing- I just banged up the camera a bit, but we're still on air ." He said rather smugly.
"Eh heh heh heh heh. Precisely! It was all just a big joke! I actually happen to love the band Kitten Division! In fact-" Roth began rambling off to the fallen camera desperate to preserve any kind of credit he had just destroyed while Luka approached the heroes.
"My friend came here with me- is he okay?" Luka asked in concern.
"I'm sure he's fine." Ladybug said placing a hand on his shoulder.
"If he's not upset about what you did to him while you were akumatized." Chat Noir pointed out as he passed them by, garnering a light jab from his partner and an upset look from Luka. "But- uh, he's not one to hold a grudge I'm sure!" He tried to say as his ring started to beep. "And that is my cue to go, until next time my Lady." He remarked as he ran off at full sprint.
Later on that evening, the band was invited to the TV station as fast as they could to cover up what was- according to Roth, a gross misunderstanding. Marin hadn't gotten the chance to talk to Luka yet and was very much avoiding the interaction due to guilt, but still helped with their gear. Marin on the other hand was content to standing right near the door for a quick escape, he timed it so he could leave as quickly as possible.
"Mar?"
And in a second his plans were completely shattered as Luka approached him.
"Are you leaving before we start?" He asked, unintentionally causes Marin to feel a whole new range of social commitment that forced him to remain and talk to the one person he didn't want to.
"UH- well, no?" Marin suggested as he scratched the back of his head nervously. However, his greater curiosity creeped as he asked. "So uh hey- did you really mean those things you said when you were akumatized?"
Luka expression dropped as he thought for a moment but then shook his head. "I'm sorry, but I don't remember a thing, did I say anything too mean?"
Marin felt both a pang of relief but also some uncertainty as he tried to smile reassuringly. "Oh no- it was nothing, it was probably just heat of the moment type stuff. Anyhow- good luck!" HE said clapping his hands together, hoping the whole conversation would drop but instead Luka placed a hand on his shoulder forcing him to look up at him.
"I don't know what I possibly could've said. But I hope you know- you mean a lot to me. Ever since we met you're like a song that I can't get out of my head. But not an annoying one- a nice one!" Luke followed up as he turned away with a reddened face, but then immediately forced a white box into Marin's hand. "Uh- here, It probably not as good as your, but I made it so I wanted you to try it.
"And now, please welcome the next big thing in town: Kitty Section!" The announcer said as the rest of the band went on stage, signaling that it was time for them to start.
Marin was mystified for a moment as his friends walked on stage and then opened up the box.
"What is it?" Tiki asked as she hid in the collar of his jacket. Both of them looked down to see a cake covered in whipped cream and sloppily clopped fruit.
"I think it's supposed to be my favorite cake?" Marin asked as he took a bite just as Kitty Section started play, he recalled thinking how sweet Luka was. But then immediately knew he deserved this as he took a bite.
"How is it? Can I have some?" Tikki asked expectantly but then saw Marin's face go pale as he had an expression that accepted his fate.
"IT's the worst thing I have ever consumed." He informed before running out to search for anything to hurl in.
Notes:
- Both Marin and Luka are disaster, but Luka is extremely low key about it
-Luka means well- but he can't cook for shit, much less bake
- Marin doesn't know about Luka's feelings, but calm down- they're just good friends
-Chat Noir is a good boy
