Experiencing loss is a part of life.

But good things come, too. Expect the unexpected, and embrace it.

Each first-time will come with uncertainly, but you will find people to whom you entrust your heart as much as they entrust theirs to you.

Chloé hummed a familiar tune to herself as she tried to calm her racing heart. She was sitting in the dressing room of the auditorium, the day of her first solo- performance. She then looked through the number of unanswered texts to her mother, she then called her once more but no one picked up.

"Hello mother-" Chloé said, with some hesitation as she clutched her phone. "I- I hope daddy reminded you of my show today. I worked really hard- and, I'll be looking for you in the crowd!" She said eagerly but her smile quickly faded as she hung up, sighing heavily. She then looked down at her new pointe ballet shoes. She had already broken them in for her performance today, but looking down at them caused her great stress. As she reached down to tie to the ribbons, her hands began to tremble to the point where they continuously fell out of her hands.

"Ridiculous- Utterly ridiculous!" She told herself, yelling at herself- attempting to will herself to stop acting like a beginner. However, the fear began to creep as she thought of every worst-case scenario possible. It wasn't uncommon for ballerinas to become injured during practice or performances, Chloé herself had experienced such stains time and time again. But this was her first solo performance, she had earned this, she had practiced years for a chance like this. This was finally her chance to impress her mother- to earn her attention, her love- once she saw how hard she worked- there would be no way she could forget about her anymore.

She tried again to lace her ribbons but found herself unable to, as she instead clutched them in her hands, digging her nails into her hands in frustration. Just as tears started to well up in her eyes, the ribbons were taken from her and laced up perfectly right before her eyes.

"There now, you're all fit to amaze everyone." She said gently with a smile that no sadness could withstand.

Chloé pushed back the tears, quickly replacing the fear with disbelief as she stood up. "Of course I'm going to amaze everyone! Once my parents come they and everyone will see how exceptional I am!" She exclaimed.

"I know. Always be proud of yourself." The woman said as she then eagerly hugged the younger girl, smiling brightly. "You're my sweet little bumblebee after all." She said happily, resting her chin on Chloé 's head as she in turn- felt any tension release in the comfort of her auntie.

Chloé clutched her Auntie's arm, resting her head on her chest as she closed her eyes for a moment as a smile of comfort drew on her face. If there was one thing she was certain of above all else- this was what home must feel like.

Chloé took a deep breath as she looked down at the white gift box in her hands, smiling with pride at the gift inside.

"Did you follow my instructions?" Gabriel Agreste said from the tablet screen held by his secretary.

"Yes, of course, I even practiced beforehand-" Chloé started to say eagerly as she was about to explain how she had sewn the gift by hand after failing with the sewing machine; so the gift itself was made entirely by hand.

"That's all I needed to know." Gabriel said curtly. "Simply walk it to your parents once my secretary gives you the signal and do nothing else."

Chloé lowered her head slightly as she suddenly felt nervous, only nodding as she clutched the box tighter.

While the ceremony began, she looked out into the crowd to see that Adrien was present however, all his attention was on Kagami. The sight made Chloé upset, and had she not been stationed she would have been sure to give them a piece of her mind- but now she had to focus on more important then things took a turn for the worst as she saw that her parents weren't getting along. She could see her father trying to please her mother- and then the two began bickering with each other, quickly turning to a full argument.

The sight made Chloé feel disheartened, even though she knew how they were, and there was no day free on it- some part of her hoped that they'd get along.

"Chloé ?"

The sound of a familiar voice made her immediately scowl as she looking at the familiar face of a former friend. "It's just you Dupain-Cheng." She sneered, as per usual.

"Are you alright?" He asked with concern, but then quickly hid any trace of sympathy. "I- mean, it's your parent's anniversary and you look like you're in trouble or something."

Chloé grew defensive, as he was one of the last people she wanted to see how broken her family really was- he'd probably use it as another way to belittle her. "Hmph- well I wouldn't expect you of all people to understand but for your information, I'm the one in charge of gifting my parents this beautiful gift sewn by yours truly!" She remarked with some pride in her voice as Marin looked at her in disbelief. She then felt some hesitation as she saw Marin opening his mouth, about to respond, but said nothing to the contrary as the look of concern returned.

"Do you want to sneak away?" He offered, surprising her greatly. For a moment, she wondered if anyone would care if she disappeared from the event. It wasn't as though she was the one who had to deliver the gift, Gabriel Agreste could do it himself- heck, her mother would probably enjoy the attention more so than receiving a gift from her. However, she shook her head as she clutched the box tightly.

"Thanks but no thanks Dupain-Cheng. I am the daughter of the mayor of Paris and the most renowned fashionista in New York; if their only child isn't present to pass along a high-quality gift then it will reflect badly- and mother's image is everything." Chloé said, repeating words she always told everyone else to remind them- but moreso herself that she was important- she was needed; No matter what anyone else said or thought, she was Chloé Bourgeois.

"Well- you know. If you're so proud of the gift that you've made then I'm sure your parents will love it." Marin gently, which made Chloé feel all the more insecure as the present in her arms now felt heavier all of a sudden. For a moment, she wanted to ask him to stay for a little while longer, or at least until she had to go up on stage. Then perhaps the apprehension she felt would disappear. But she could risk it- she could risk being seen as someone who needed company just to feel better about herself.

"Thanks." Chloé said sincerely as Marin nodded at her, then walked away. A part of her was grateful that at least one person asked how she was, and of all people- it just had to be the one whom she loathed the most.

"Audrey and André, on this most solemn day, in celebration of your 20th wedding anniversary. I am delighted to offer this magnificent gift, which I personally designed, especially for you." Gabriel announced as Chloé walked on stage, taking a moment to wave to the crowd in order to ease her nerves as she handed the box to her parents.

"My dearest Mr. And Mrs. Bourgeois, I hereby present you the Gabriel Couple Cloak, a symbol of eternal love and bonds of marriage." Gabriel continued to say as the couple placed the cloak on. It was a simple white sheet adorned with a red sash and held together by a heart emblem.

"Ow! You're stepping on my feet!"

" Thank you, Gabriel, it's uh.. it's..." Andre tried to say but was interrupted by his wife.

"Hideous! On you! Ugh utterly hideous! You wearing it is an insult to this piece of art." Audrey snapped as the crowd laughed, believing it was a joke while Chloé began to back away. "You're so ridiculous! Everything here is ridiculous. I'm going back to New York! Ugh!"

André then bared his fangs as he yelled back at his wife. "I'd be more than happy to book you a seat on the next flight myself this time!"

Both began shouting insults at each other while Chloé was just about to run away. However, something caught her attention as she saw a familiar butterfly fluttering by.

Just as she overheard both of her parents saying how much they hated each other they were transformed right before her eyes into a monster.

"Daddy, mom?!" Chloé exclaimed as she backed away, looking up at the floating head of her father.

"Haha! I am the most powerful of all the super villains!" He said, as the head turned, revealing her mother who was scowling as per usual.

"No, I am! You're just super annoying." She remarked as she glanced at a couple. "Ugh, they're so in love." She said before zapping the couple.

Chloé then snapped to attention, as she realized the only way to call for help. "Oh, my bee signal! I've got to let Ladybug know!" She said and immediately ran to the elevator but then was stopped by the new Akumatized Villain.

"Chloé, my princess!" Her father began to say just before her mother took over.

"You're going to give us all your love!"

Chloé immediately shook her head. "Nah-uh, sorry. No way, I don't love anyone!"

"Of course you do, darling." Her father said. "You utterly love yourself!" They said as they tried to zap her, but Chloé evaded and immediately ran for the stairs.

"Come on- come on!" Chloé exclaimed to herself as she tried to fix her signal that had somehow broken due to the cords being cut. However- she had no inkling of how it could have happened, and no time to even consider the implications as she saw a familiar hero in the distance.

"Bring me my Miraculous, Ladybug! I'm waiting for you!" Chloé yelled at the top of her lungs, fully expecting the hero to pass her by, but was surprised as he then landed near her.

"Chloé - were your parents akumatized?" He asked with urgency as she nodded immediately.

"Yes! I need my Miraculous now more than ever! I have to save my parents!" She insisted desperately.

"Chloé - do you know how exactly they were akumatized?" Ladybug asked.

"I- I don't-" Chloé stammered as she grasped her arm, thinking back to earlier. "I think it was the heart-shaped broach on the...the gift they got."

"Broach?" Ladybug said to himself, thinking for a moment as he nodded.

"Ladybug- what about my Miraculous?!" Chloé then demanded but Ladybug shook his head.

"I'm sorry Chloé, your identity as Queen Bee is known to the public. If I continue to give you a Miraculous then you'll be in harm's way." Ladybug explained as Chloé 's expression fell. He placed a hand on her shoulder trying to comfort her. "I promise, I'll save your parents. Don't worry." He said trying to reassure her, but she couldn't feel at ease, knowing that it was because of her gift that her parents became akumatized.

Ladybug's expression burned with pure anger as he faced off against the person he despised the most alongside his partner who stood next to him.

"Your era of Heroes has ended, Guardian." Hawkmoth remarked. "Now watch as your prized pupils will know true defeat!" He announced victoriously, pointing his cane at them while Ladybug gripped his yo-yo.

Ladybug had dreamed of his day for a long time, that Hawkmoth would have the Miracle box in hand, that the Master would be discovered- that everything they had worked hard to protect would be placed into jeopardy. But somehow, this was far worse- as this time, his partner wasn't by his side.

"Master- get out of here!" Ladybug exclaimed as he started swinging his yo-yo in preparation for the fight to come.

"Never!" Master Fu immediately exclaimed, but as he tried to stand it was immediately apparent that he was injured. The odds continued to stack against them as Hawkmoth smirked.

"Are you certain you should even be here Ladybug?" Hawkmoth mused. "There is still one of my creations out there within the city while you stand here trying to save an old man." Hawkmoth remarked as Ladybug gritted his teeth- knowing that he was right.

Ladybug had no idea how many people had been taken out, but even as he stood there he knew that protecting lives had to come first, even before the Miracle box.

"It's too dangerous, Master! You're too old for this..."

Ladybug's eyes widened as he heard a familiar voice, but didn't dare turn his head away from the villains. An idea then came to his mind as his Master transformed behind him.

"Your defeat will be my greatest achievement Guardian." Hawkmoth remarked as he began to walk forward, cane in hand.

"Master!" Ladybug exclaimed as immediately in response Master Fu activated his power.

"Shell-ter!" He exclaimed as a shield formed around him. Ladybug in response back-flipped towards him- using his moment of air time to bind the shield in his yo-yo and then using the momentum to fling him in another direction within the city.

"NO!" Hawkmoth exclaimed as he turned his attention on Ladybug, but the hero was already gone- darting in the other direction as his master. "Go after the insect." He immediately ordered Mayura to Mayura who nodded, using the Sentimonster to fly through the city while Hawkmoth looked down at the Miracle box. He smiled to himself looking down at limitless power at his fingertips. With the information he was gifted from the boy from the future he immediately knew what his next move was.

Ladybug never broke his stride as he ran into the subway to avoid detection. Without his sensing abilities he was at a disadvantage, but no matter how many times he tried to hone his emotions and focus his mind it wouldn't work. Right now, he had no time to even think about what could be causing it and instead took out his bug phone to immediately call his master.

"Master Fu!" Ladybug exclaimed as he hid in the subway. "Where are you?!"

"I'm safe- dizzy, but safe." Master Fu reassured. "Right now I'm hiding near our usual meeting spot under a bridge. Don't worry, I'll be able to swim if either Hawkmoth or Mayura rears their ugly faces." He remarked mischievously, hoping to break some of the tension but Ladybug only grew tenser.

"Master..." Ladybug began to say as his voice cracked. There were a number of things he wanted to say, all of which would culminate with a profusely apologetic statement on how he was reckless. Because of him the Miracle box was taken by the worst person alive and everything they had worked on was placed into jeopardy.

"We can talk later. Right now, focus on helping the people. I'll find Chat Noir." Master Fu said reassuringly. "Then after this whole curfuffle we'll have sandwiches."

"Yeah- my treat." Ladybug said as the call ended. In the moment of quiet within the tunnel, he looked down at his yo-yo, longing for the company of his partner. "Lucky Charm!" He exclaimed, and from his yo-yo fell a small black cat plushie that had a ladybug printed collar on it. His stomach sank as he quickly realized that the charm was trying to tell him. However, he didn't have time to wait for his partner now that the Master and Kwami's were in danger. "Chat Noir, please be okay." He murmured to himself, in hopes that his partner was safe.

Chloé paced back and forth on the rooftop of her father's hotel, waiting for her family to come back- or for any sign of Ladybug saving them. But then- as she heard footsteps behind her, she quickly was frightened to see the face of someone whom she knew could cause nothing but harm.

"Chloé Bourgeois, rejections hurt." Hawkmoth said as he approached her with a box in hand. "Your talents deserve to be recognized! Ladybug and Chat Noir's reign has gone on long enough. It's time for Paris to have a new queen, and the Queen Bee on my chessboard is you."

Those words made her enraged as she pointed out towards the city. "You've akumatized my parents! If I had my Miraculous I'd-"

"I did it for one reason only. So that you would finally realize that Ladybug will never give you the Bee Miraculous again. I, however, always keep my word." He said as he held out the Bee Miraculous towards her- shocking her to the core.

"T-this isn't real! How do you have it?!" Chloé demanded.

"Try it and see for yourself," Hawkmoth said as Chloé grabbed the Miraculous, releasing a familiar ball of yellow light that materialized into Pollen. However, Chloé had no time to talk to the Kwami as she quickly held her close, keeping her away from Hawkmoth's terrifying gaze. "You're Ladybug's greatest admirer. You've fought by him, you've trusted him, and what has he done for you in return? He no longer acknowledges you as the hero you are, now in favor of those of whom he's chosen, overlooking you and your strengths time and time again."

"Done for me?" Chloé said as she glared at the villain. It was true, she despised the idea of being forgotten, of being overlooked. But there was another feeling that overpowered any negative feelings she had towards the hero, her hero. "He's been kind to me."

"Kind?" Hawkmoth scoffed at her words.

"Yes, kind! No matter what happened, or what I did- he was kind to me. Ladybug cares about other people, even people like me who never deserved it in the first place!"

"Do you honestly believe that he cares about you? All you've wanted is to reclaim your rightful place as Queen Bee, yet even now you've been denied that right."

"Denied?! You're the reason that my parents are like this in the first place!" Chloé pointed out angrily, to which Hawkmoth grew amused as a realization came to him, seeing how adamant Chloé was to defend her hero. She was but one of many who admired the hero who inspired those to be better, however- there was already those who already had unknowingly planted the seeds needed for his plan to bloom.

"Me you say? Even someone such as I am in need of aid now and again." Hawkmoth said with a smile as Chloé was chilled by his expression. "Perhaps I've been going about this the wrong way. It was never Ladybug that wronged you...it was your family."

Chloé swallowed nervously as a familiar fear began to creep up.

"Chloé Bougeoius, perhaps we are more alike than initial appearances would imply." Hawkmoth said thoughtfully. "What you desire is more simple than power or the faux adoration of other, no- what you so simply desire is the affection that has been denied to you all your life."

"S-SHUT UP! We're nothing alike! I'm nothing like you!" Chloé exclaimed desperately. "That's ridiculous, utterly ridiculous!"

"Oh? Who has aided me so well in Akumatizing others? Who has always created a healthy environment for my Akuma's to flourish? Who was it that has always attempted to steal what you believed was owed to you?" Hawkmoth pointed out as he could feel his influence begin to grow. "You are already well aware aren't you? No one sees you as a person. To them, you're a nuisance, a spoiled child, a charlatan, something that is better seen than heard. Even the parents whom you care about don't even offer you that same luxury."

"That's a lie! My parents love me! Daddy just buys me whatever I want-"

"In order not to deal with you and your petty demands."

"My mother loves me! Even if she's busy- I'm her daughter, she loves me in her own way!" Chloé argued back, certain of what she was saying. Every parent loved their child, even if she could be difficult now and again they loved her...they had to...

"Are you truly so blind to the truth of the matter?" Hawkmoth asked as he saw her tense up. "You already know that truth don't you? You already know who has earned your mother's love."

Immediately, something within Chloé shattered as Hawkmoth said those words. She stumbled back, using the railing behind her to steady her. Pollen hovered nearby as Chloé hung her head, her breathing became more horse as tears started to fall from her face. "W-Why would you say that?" She rasped out.

"Come now, you're a perceptive girl. You've noticed how much they're been fighting lately, moreso than usual." Hawkmoth remarked. "Your mother abandoned you to raise another child, and your father tried everything he could to prevent you from finding out. But now that's changed."

"You're lying...YOU'RE LYING!" Chloé exclaimed furiously as tears streamed down her face. "YOU'RE A VILLAIN- ALL YOU DO IS LIE! YOU DON'T ANYTHING ABOUT ME- OR MY FAMILY!"

"Perhaps not. But you could find out." Hawkmoth offered. "I will offer you a trade, in return for your aid, I will grant you one wish. A power that I shall be given once I have Ladybug and Chat Noir's Miraculous. That power will be yours to wield, anything you desire- granted for a simple favor in turn."

"My queen!" Pollen exclaimed, trying to garner her partner's attention, but Chloé 's eyes grew lidded as she looked at the Kwami no longer feeling any anger, now only replaced with longing as she nodded her head. "Pollen, buzz on." She said, transforming into her hero persona.

"Release my parents." Queen Bee said as Hawkmoth in turn smiled. He snapped his fingers, undoing the transformation of Hearthunter, and in turn, placed an Akuma within Queen Bee's Miraculous, transforming her into Queen Wasp.

"If it is revenge you desire, then it shall be done." Hawkmoth remarked as he watched Queen Wasp releasing her insects out into the city, all of whom were searching for two targets in particular.

Ladybug had used his yo-yo to catch the falling couple as they had miraculously been transformed back. The Akuma that had been released no longer had a trace of negativity on it. Looking up at the Akuma, an unnerving feeling of foreboding overcame him as he threw his Lucky charm up into the air.

"Miraculous Ladybug!" He yelled out, undoing the harm done by the couple- who appeared to be okay as they landed on the ground safely. He took out his bug phone- quickly sending Chloé a text when in the distance he saw a swarm of wasps spreading out onto the city. Immediately he knew, who exactly they belonged to, but had no time to save the couple as he jumped down into the sewers to evade getting stung.

Queen Wasp landed before her parents as Hawkmoth looked on from the sidelines, obscured from sight. Neither of them looked surprised at Chloé 's transformation as he could feel emotions ranging from apathy to tiredness coming from the couple. It was no longer a rare sight for Chloé to be involved with Akuma's anymore, now it appeared to be a hindrance for them.

"Mother, Daddy. I order you to tell me the truth-" Queen Wasp demanded, exerting authority, but her parents were unphased.

"Ugh- you're doing this again Chloé ?" Audrey asked, sighing heavily in exasperation at her daughter. "I thought this villain thing was an overblown phase of yours."

" It's true that this villainy of yours, isn't very good for our family image..." Andre added hesitantly, seemingly uncomfortable with partially agreeing with his wife.

However- Queen Wasp ignored that as she glared at them. "Tell me the truth mother!" Chloé demanded as she commanded her wasps to point their stingers at her parents. "Am I your only child?"

Immediately Andre became more frantic, yet helpless as he looked between the two. He was shocked that his daughter could ask such a question while her mother still retained her apathy towards her child.

"Are you going to become fussy over this?" The fashionista sighed once more, while Queen Wasp's eyes widened in shock at her mother's reaction. "Yes- you have a sister. Is that why you're throwing this tantrum?"

"Tantrum?" Queen Wasp asked, gritting her teeth angrily as rage began to radiate off of her in waves.

"N-now, now my Princess- there's no need to be angry at this." Andre said, playing mediator between the two. "It's not that bad see- now that everything is out in the open, we can all become a proper family now-"

"PROPER FAMILY?!" Queen Wasp exclaimed, yelling fiercely at her father. "WE'VE NEVER BEEN A PROPER FAMILY! AND NOW YOU'RE EXPECTING ME TO JUST ACCEPT THAT THERE'S SOMEONE ELSE OUT THERE WHO I'M RELATED TO THAT YOU'VE NEVER TOLD ME ABOUT?!"

"Don't be so dramatic Claudie. It'll just be a small adjustment-"

However, Aubrey was quickly silenced as Queen Wasp used her insects to paralyze her in place.

"Hey now- don't treat your mother this way-" Andre was about to scold but then he was paralyzed as well, leaving the akumatized villain on her own. Queen Wasp gasped for breath as her head started to ache, causing her to fall to her knees, now defeated as her parents stood before her.

"It's just as I told you." Hawkmoth said as he walked up to Queen Wasp, placing a hand on her head. "You will never find the love you desire, you have to obtain it yourself, and with my aid- no one will ever make you feel this way ever again." He said reassuringly through a cold tone while Queen Wasp only looked down at the ground- now beyond any rage or injustice she previously felt.

"...Do what to want- I don't care anymore." She said, and it was all Hawkmoth needed to hear as he then concentrated his power, causing Queen wasp to pass out as she became enveloped by the dark power of the Akuma.

"Queen Wasp, all your life you've been held back by people who lie through their teeth, promising you the best when they merely enable the worst parts of you. With your subservience, I grant you the power to claim your deepest desire. Go forth! Miracle Queen!" Hawkmoth announced with glee in his voice, as before him stood a creation completely under his control with no hint of rebellion in her mind.

Miracle Queen's form changed into that of a Miraculous wielder's ultimate potential, a powerful force with unlimited power whose strength could only be unlocked through their loss of will. With this form, Hawkmoth had complete control over her, and with it, he enacted his first order through his new puppet.

"From now on, no one will keep their identity a secret! All the Miraculous wearers, come to me!" Hawkmoth ordered as the bees swarmed through the city searching for everyone insight to take control of. "Then go forth and bring Chat Noir and Ladybug to me!"

Adrien swung his legs back and forth on the bridge as he ate ice cream happily with Kagami. He was upset to learn that Marin had left without saying good-bye, but he was happy to spend time away from his responsibilities with a friend. They both shared the ice cream cone playfully, eating the stem together as it ended with him receiving a peck on his lips while both of their faces reddened. He immediately turned his face away, touching his lips in surprise while Kagami looked a little confused.

"Are you upset?" She asked, to which Adrien immediately shook his head- his turning red.

"N-no of course not! I mean...No. I mean... I mean yes! I mean-" He stumbled through his words as he tried to explain his feelings, but also not wanted to hurt her feelings.

"So you're not happy." Kagami concluded turning her head away to look towards the waterfront.

Adrien started to feel guilty as he placed his hands over hers. "Yes, I am! It's just that... I think I wasn't really ready..." He said, concluding in his own reasoning but could see that it wasn't the answer that Kagami wanted to hear.

"Your indecision is hurtful, Adrien." Kagami sighed, taking her hand away as she stood up but then, something caught her attention as she then ran towards the bridge.

"Kagami?!" Adrien yelled out, chasing her towards the bridge, but then was shocked as he saw Kagami helping up Master Fu of all people. He was stunned, but then snapped out of it as Kagami spoke.

"He's injured." She informed as she helped Master Fu to his feet.

"A-Are you okay sir?" Adrien asked as he allowed Master Fu to lean on him, while they walked towards the bench- making it very clear that something bad had happened.

However, Master Fu smiled at the two of them with a gentlemanly grin. "It appears that I have taken a small spill while out on a walk." He explained, but Adrien had the sinking suspicion that there was something more going on. As they helped him on the bench, Master Fu turned towards Kagami.

"Young Lady, could I trouble you to ask for some help? It appears that I have walked too far from my home and will need some assistance getting back."

"No problem, I'll go find an officer." She said immediately as she walked towards the main street.

The moment she left, Master Fu placed a hand on Adrien's arm looking at him with a serious expression. "Adrien- Chat Noir is needed."

Adrien was surprised at how blunt the master was being. "Wait a sec- did Ladybug ask you to find me? What is happening?" He asked but before he could get a response the sound of buzzing filled the street and the two looked up to see a swarm of bees quickly approaching. Adrien reached into his shirt pocket to quickly grab a transformation camembert but instead watched as Master Fu transformed before his eyes.

"Shell-ter!" The old man exclaimed as a shield similar to Carapaces was erected around them in a protective field.

Adrien was stunned at the sight of the Master transformed for the first time, but snapped to attention as he saw the Master falter, due to his injury. Adrien knelt by his side in concern. But then the Master grabbed his hand, looking at him with a serious expression.

"Ladybug needs you now more than ever."

Ladybug was thrown against the wall as the water turned against him. He looked up to see Ryuko brandishing her weapon as she stood against him.

"I don't want to fight you Kagami!" He exclaimed but as he tried to run again he was hit by Ryuko's water dragon form- forcing him to the surface where he was then thrown to the ground again at Trocadéro. He looked up in shock to see that the other Miraculous holders whom he had chosen-save for Carapese- were now under Queen Wasp's control as she stood next to Hawkmoth holding the Miracle box.

Ladybug furrowed his brow angrily as he was surrounded from all sides, one false move and it could be his end.

"Give up Ladybug! You're all alone, now abandoned by your master, betrayed by your partner, and soon your Miraculous will be mine!" Hawkmoth announced victoriously.

The hero glared at his arch-enemy as his eyes then drifted over to Queen Wasp. "Is this really what you want Chloé ?!" He called out but was then off-put by her lack of response. Her form was different from her Queen Wasp form, as it was now adorned in partial armor and a crown. For as long as he'd known Chloé, she was never one to be speechless, rather- she always took every opportunity to be the center of attention and to be seen but now...

"Docile isn't she?" Hawkmoth remarked as he placed a hand on Chloé 's head, who slightly lifted her head in response- immediately causing Ladybug to bristle.

"What did you do to her?!" He demanded, to which Hawkmoth chuckled.

"I merely perfected her. No longer is she Queen Wasp, she is Miracle Queen- the first of my puppets."

Ladybug immediately tensed up as he placed his hand on his yo-yo, quickly realizing what the villain intended to do to all his friends who held a Miraculous. An image of his partner garbed in while flashed in his mind. He knew better than anyone else the effects of Hawkmoth's complete control over others- and the devastating effects of his Miraculous.

"You don't know what you're getting into!" Ladybug exclaimed. "Manipulating a Miraculous to this extent-"

"Is the consequence of yours and Chat Noir's actions." Hawkmoth interrupted as he placed both hands on his cane. "Time and time again we've stalemated in battle, now it is time to end the charade, and finally take your Miraculous for myself!"

Miracle Queen lifted her head as she recited Hawkmoth's orders. "Defeat Ladybug!" She called out as her minions snapped into action.

Immediately Ladybug's eyes trained on Viperion who had his hand on his Miraculous.

"Second Chance!" He exclaimed, lowering Ladybug's chances at victory as whatever the hero did would be undone. But instead, Ladybug beelined for King Monkey who activated his power, materializing in a toy frog that he tried to touch him with. Ladybug, however- evaded his attempt as the hero threw his yo-yo at Viperion. Ladybug then sent the two flying together as the toy touched Viperion, causing him to de-transform due to the disruption of his power while Ladybug quickly knocked off both of their Miraculous.

As he then turned his attention to the remaining three, Ladybug was blown back by Ryuko's wind dragon form into a portal of Pegasus's creation. The impact knocked him off his feet as he was thrown in, but then popped a macaroon into his mouth. On the other side, Pegasus was wrapped up by a yo-yo and was used as an anchor while Ladybug flew through in his activated Cosmo form; which provided him complete body armor and flight capabilities. Ladybug knocked out Pegasus first, knocking away his glasses but then was struck by Lightning via Ryuko. Through the armor, the attack was lessened but he could feel his vision grow hazy for a moment when she reverted back to her normal form now readying to strike him with her sword. Ladybug parried her attack using his armored arm, deflecting her attack for a moment as he then ripped her Miraculous from her neck- causing her to detransform.

With two more down Ladybug looked around to see where Rena Rouge but was certain that she had already activated her illusions as she was nowhere in sight. Ladybug closed his eyes as he listened for the sounds that illusions couldn't make. The only sound he heard was the buzzing of the nearby wasps, but then immediately turned to see Rena Rouge running towards him, he threw his yo-yo but aimed behind him to defeat the real one. Rena Rouge was sent flying as Ladybug few to catch her, removing her Miraculous in the process as she transformed back.

With the final Miraculous caught, Ladybug was unamused by the sound of another person dashing towards him. He held his yo-yo, prepared to attack once again- but then flinched as he saw his partner, eyes yellow as he dashed towards him.

"Chat-" Was the only word Ladybug managed to say before he was then hit with a destructive force, sending him flying into the Eiffel tower- his armor now cracked as he fell to the ground- unable to stand.

Hawkmoth watched the fight unfold as he witnessed Ladybug swiftly defeat each Miraculous holder one after the other. It was no surprise, given that he seemingly was the one who had the most knowledge of the Miraculous. In this instance, he did not except the tools of his puppet to defeat the hero, merely distract him as the final player to the game entered the scene.

The villain immediately turned to Mayura, catching her just before she hit the ground, concern, and guild steadily drawing onto his face.

"I'm all right." Mayura rasped out, cupping his face with her hand as she grew weaker. "I've failed to find the guardian- but I can still aid you."

Hawkmoth shut his eyes for a moment as he gently laid his partner on the ground. "Forgive me for needing you one last time." He remarked as he watched her sentimonster retreat. The creature itself was a spitting image of the hero Chat Noir even right down to his power, but even creating had taken its a toll on Mayura- it had overstayed its welcome. In his hand, Hawkmoth crushed the possessed charm in his hand, a bell that fell to the ground- releasing the feather into the air.

His plan was so close to completion- now came the next phase.

"What do you think happened?" Chat Noir asked as he carried Master Fu on his back as he jumped through the city where everyone who was stung was now passed out. Chat Noir recalled out Queen Wasp was the only villain they faced who sent swarms of bees out to attack people- but he had never seen them do this. He was worried about his partner after receiving all the messages from him and feared if he said anything aloud he would most certainly be sending bad luck his way.

"Nothing good..." Master Fu then pointed out towards the Eiffel tower as a ball of energy was forming at the tower, sending a shockwave through the city.

Chat Noir glanced back at Master Fu who had a look of fear on his face; in that moment both of them shared the same apprehensive fear as Chat Noir picked up his pace and dashed towards the tower.

Ladybug tried to stand as he tried to reach for his yo-yo, but with his body failing him- he didn't even notice the approaching footsteps.

"You've failed Ladybug."

Even in his condition Ladybug still found the will to grit his teeth and glare at Hawkmoth through his visor. "They'll stop you." He mustered out as Hawkmoth then knelt down, grasping the top of his head as the hero was forced to look at the villain.

"Your weakness has placed your Master in jeopardy, your ignorance allowed for the creation of my first puppet, and now- your partner has fallen under my control. Give up now- and I will spare your lives."

For once, the armor that Ladybug kept up to shield his emotions faltered. His detection ability failed him and as a result, Master Fu was on the run for his life, because of him- Chloé was subjected to the true power of the Butterfly Miraculous, and even worse; all the time he spent worrying about Chat Noir was moot as he'd already failed to save his partner. But even so- even if he had committed all these mistakes...

"There's still hope." Ladybug mustered as his eyes burned with determination. "Even if I fall, even if you have Chat Noir under your control, good will always triumph over the blackened hearts of evil."

Hawkmoth scoffed at the hero's words as he crushed Ladybug's visor- revealing his face partially as Ladybug grasped onto the villain's arm, trying -with what little strength he had- to push him away. "Ah, that naivety of youth. There is no such thing as good or evil, there are only the wills of people, and my will to see my wish come to fruition has triumphed over your simple desire to protect your Master. I am a desperate man Ladybug, and desperation will always overpower the meek-hearted." Hawkmoth said as he snapped his fingers with his other hand.

Ladybug could see how the process released Miracle Queen from her control as everyone that was previously venomed by her had passed out on the ground. As he struggled to escape Ladybug's eyes widened as he saw an akuma being released from Hawkmoth's cane, now fluttering towards him.

"NO!" Ladybug exclaimed- but he didn't have time to temper his emotions as the Akuma disappeared into his Miraculous and he heard Hawkmoth's voice in his mind.

"Ladybug, you've been fighting a losing battle under the orders of a cowardly master who tasked children to fight for him. Now here you stand- alone- while everything you've fought for will fall. But this story doesn't have to have a sad ending- with my power- you will reach your full potential, you will become a true protector of city- no longer bound by emotion or thought."

Ladybug could only grasp onto Hawkmoth's arm harder, but was still unable to escape to due to the villain's heightened strength. "No! My master is not a coward! Being Ladybug was my choice! You're the one who caused all of this! You're the reason I'm even here at all!" He exclaimed as he fought tooth and nail, but could feel his anger and defiance start to creep through.

"Then allow me to correct the injustice I have forced upon you." Hawkmoth mused as he placed all focus on the cracks forming in Ladybug's will- feeling the negativity starting to build up. A black aura began to form around Ladybug as he screamed in pain- it was the same transformation that had morphed Queen Wasp, but while she had quietly accepted it, while this forcefully crept into his very being.

"Rise! My Masterpiece!" Hawkmoth remarked, taking a step back as the transformation was complete amidst a blinding blackness that revealed his newest creation.

Trust in others can sometimes crack, but so long as your intentions are true it will never shatter.

Yes, sometimes the road can be winding. You might even get lost along the way.

But with the help from the right people, you'll always find your way back to where you need to be.

Chat Noir and Master Fu landed near the tower where a chilling sight befell them; surrounding them were fallen comrades with Miraculous jewels scattered about. But a few meters away Chat Noir could see their arch-nemesis Hawkmoth now turning towards them with a smile on his face.

"Have yourself a little party?" Chat Noir remarked as he placed the Master on the ground and took out his staff. "Hope you don't mind us crashing."

The villain only smiled in turn, causing Chat Noir to grip his staff tighter as he knew something wasn't right. "Two against one? That doesn't appear right." He remarked while Chat Noir tried to keep a cool head.

"Well- soon it will be three against one once my partner comes 'round. He's pretty spectacular- doubt that you'd get along though." Chat Noir bit back, feeling more phased by the lack of reaction that the villain held.

"Allow me to even the odd then." Hawkmoth said as he snapped his fingers.

Chat Noir looked around for a moment, waiting for something, but then grinned when nothing happened. "You're losing your touch there gramp-"

"Shell-ter!" Master Fu yelled out as a protective barrier appeared before Chat Noir's eye, just before the barrier was then hit by a strong force. In a blinding moment, he saw a flash of black as something then backflipped over to Hawkmoth, kneeling near his side.

A toothy grin drew onto Hawkmoth's face while Chat Noir's heart sank. The person before him had his body was covered in a black bodysuit that had red cracks resembling shattered glass, with red markings on his arms and legs that were ascetical in contrast to the symmetry his normal from held. His skin was pitch-black skin, contrasted only by a torn red scarf that covered his mouth and white horns that stood out. The creation opened his lidded eyes, what was previously white was now black- and what was previously light blue was a stark orange. The creation then knelt under its master's order, who smiled victoriously.

Chat Noir's entire world began to spin as he realized who stood before him, his shock only broken by the sight of Hawkmoth casually placing a hand on their head with a smile on his face.

"W...WHAT DID YOU DO TO HIM?!" Chat Noir demanded, his eyes now blazing with fury as he was all too ready to beat up Hawkmoth to a pulp- only held back by the barrier before him as he beat it with his fists.

Hawkmoth smiled in amusement as he stroked the hair of his newest creation. "I perfected him. Now subservient as children should be." Hawkmoth said as he pointed his cane towards them. "Bring me the remaining Miraculous, and destroy Chat Noir...my Weevil."

Notes:

-I'm just making assumptions of Emilie's personality based on her sister.

- I choose to believe that Gabe knew about the whole Aubrey having another kid, but just- not involving himself in the whole thing...until he needed to be a villain.

- Chloé hasn't reached her breaking point yet if season 4 is any indication. No matter what happens in the main series, my plans for her remain the same.

-There is an addendum added to Hawkmoth's powers where he can gain complete control over someone (But also he can lose control as well)

- ~Local Moth man takin' advantage of teenagers insecurites~ (someone beat this dude up)

- Remember kids- don't listen to adults who offer you wishes in exchange for your servitude. Chloé 's deepest desire is hinted at within the chapter, and will probably come up again later...

- In a serious fight I think Ladybug would most definitely lose against Chat Noir- because I wrote him to use his wits over strength. Chat Noir has the smarts as well, but Ladybug relies on it more.
