Marin looked on as he saw the supposed villain from the plane being arrested in an armored vehicle while being surrounded by other American superheroes.

"So... what happened on the plane with your "friend" Adrien?" Alya asked, poking his shoulder as she sat next to him on the bus that was leading them to the school they were going to be temporarily staying at.

"What are you talking about?" Marin asked, looking at his best friend in confusion while she sighed heavily.

"Come on cutie pie we're not blind, you and our Adrikins have something going on don't you?" Alya accused while Marin tensed up.

"What? Me and Adrien? That crazy, you're crazy. Besides he and Kagami are together." He hastily said even as his stomach fell saying those words. "I was just so freaked out by flying and Adrien was helping me out." He insisted while Alya looked at him in disbelief. But then his attention was veered away as he received a text on his phone, placing all his focus towards it as he clicked on a ladybug printed icon.

"Paris is safe from supervillains! Have Ladybug and Chat Noir put an end to Hawk Moth's activities? A segment by Clara Contard." Nadja announced on a french news network as Adrien watched it intently in concern. But that changed when Nino grabbed his phone from him.

"Forget about Paris, dude! You're in New York now! Your old man's not here, and when the cat's away, the mice will play! Open your eyes, know what I mean? Take it all in!" Nino insisted as he turned his friend's head towards the window where the city was passing them by under the golden light of the sunset. Adrien felt some tension be relieved as he listened to his friend, trusting in himself to enjoy his time in the city.

"The Little Croissants are en route." Sparrow informed as she knelt on top of the tour bus containing all of the students from their sister school in France.

"Good. Don't leave them." Knightowl informed on the other end, much to Sparrow's chagrin.

"After I finish this up, maybe we could go on patrol together?" Sparrow offered, not wanting to be stuck with guard duty for the next few days.

"That's a negative Sparrow, this mission is important. I expect both you and Uncanny Valley to uphold our organization's values for this important mission." Nightowl said sternly as Sparrow grumbled to herself.

" Roger that! Meet you in the lobby!" Uncanny Valley responded as she watched her partner use her grappling hook to jump off the bus. The android transformed back into her civilian form as she ran off the roof and towards the main entrance hall. As she peered behind a wall she looked out into the class of students, taking a head count on all of them to ensure they were all present and accounted for. But then received an error.

"Hm. One is missing." She said to herself, looking out into the class again, but then saw one blonde haired student quickly break away from the group to run outside, returning with the missing classmate in hand.

"How do you get lost from the bus to here?" The blonde, handsome boy asked as he laughed while his friend had a heightened heart rate at the contact.

"I just took one phone call! It's not my fault you guys move quickly!" The taller Asian boy insisted.

"Ugh! Babysitting some wet behind the ears tourists? I mean, don't they have anything better for us to do?!"

Aeon was torn away from the pleasant sight as her partner returned with her skateboard over her shoulders, slumping down on the sofa in annoyance. Aeon smiled eagerly as she sat down next to her partner.

"Those two are made for each other." The android said as she pointed out the two boys from earlier along with their two other friends who were laughing.

"What?"

"I'm serious Jess!" Aeon insisted only to become more excited. "I saw them on the plane helping each other, and now they're doing it again! They're meant to be!" She remarked dreamily at the thought of a potential romance while her partner sighed heavily.

"Seriously, Aeon? Not again!" Jess reprimanded. "Just because two friends interact with each other does not mean they're meant to be. You really need to stop watching those k dramas."

Aeon pouted as she turned back to her partner. "But I am programmed to help people, Jess!"

"Yes, help. Not involve yourself with people's private lives. Don't get the two mixed up." Jess explained as she could see Aeon being disappointed for a moment only to bounce back.

"You're right! Let's just follow the orders and protect the wet tourists!" Aeon said more eagerly.

"Ah, no that's not what I meant." Jess clarified as she explained what a turn of phrase was to her partner, but was then interrupted by the french teacher speaking to her students.

"Listen up, students! You'll go into your rooms by groups of four! Everyone come take your itinerary. And when I come up in two and a half minutes, you had better be in your rooms, with the lights out! Anyone caught after hours outside of their room with immediately be removed from the next day's activities. Got it?" She ordered while her students groaned in disappointment.

Jess watched as the french students passed by, but then quickly saw that Aeon was talking to the duo of friends that had caught her attention earlier with a few of their other classmates.

"Hello! I'm Aeon!" She greeted happily while Jess moved to grab her.

"Ae, we're going now." Jess ordered, grabbing her arm but then was interrupted by Delmar who inserted himself in the conversation.

"Hey, We're throwing a little party on the rooftop if you're interested. Hang with us, but be quiet, okay?" He offered, even winking at a red haired girl as Jess rolled her eyes, grabbing her partner as she was knowingly protecting the french students from her partner's meddling.

Marin hung back from his friends as he pulled Sabrina to the side for a moment as he shoved his room assignment in his jacket pocket.

"Have you heard anything from Chloe?" He asked as Sabrina shook her head.

"She hasn't contacted me at all since her parents anniversary, and when I tried to visit her the butler just informed me that Chloe didn't want to see anyone else. Why? Do you think she could be in trouble or something?!" She asked now growing more panicked.

Marin frowned at her words as an uneasy feeling settled in his stomach.

"I'm sure she just needs some time for herself. Thanks Sabrina." He said gratefully as she walked down to the hall to her own room assignment.

Marin hung his head for a moment while he was alone in the hall. Ever since the event had happened, Chloe hadn't made contact with anyone else, not even her supposed best friend Sabrina, and he didn't feel confident enough to bring this up to Adrien just yet. But all he knew was that something bad had happened, something that had caused her to become Akumatized to the point of total possession- an object for Hawkmoth to enforce his entire control over.

"Mr. Dupain-Chengue!"

"WAH!" Marin almost tripped over his luggage as his teacher flashed him a stern expression.

"You will need an entire night's rest to keep up with tomorrows schedule. I suggest that you go to your room rather than standing around the hall lolly-gagging." She scolded while Marin bowed his head reflexively in apology.

"Yes ma'am, sorry ma'am!" He exclaimed as he took his suitcase and ran down the hall where his room was meant to be. As he opened the door however his stomach sank even further as he saw Nino and Adrien were in the same room along with Adrien's bodyguard who sat in the corner continuing to listen to his podcast.

"Cool! We're all rooming together!" Nino exclaimed in excitement. "I dibs top bunk!" He said as he climbed up to lay claim to his new territory while he and Adrien exchanged a glance.

"My bodyguard has his own cot, so it seems like we're going to be sharing the other bed. " Adrien said with a smile that almost killed Marin where he stood.

"How the heck can you say something like that so easily?" Marin grimaced as Adrien looked at him with an innocent expression on his face.

"Hey!" Nino asked, throwing a pillow at them. "You guys wanna build a fort?"

Both friends agreed in unison as their room was immediately covered in pinned up blankets and pillows.

When night fell, everyone began to sneak out of the classroom toward the roof of the school. Marin nodded to Alya across the all as everyone had an eager smile on their faces, wanting to attend the party on the roof. But then the silence was broken by Nino accidentally tripping over a plant in the hall amidst the darkness.

"What's that noise?!" Ms Mendeleiev suddenly exclaimed as everyone scattered to other rooms.

Amidst the momentary rush of chaos, Marin quickly realized that he was stuck with Adrien as the two had grabbed onto each other's hands out of reflex. Marin's face quickly burned as he realized what he had done and rectified the situation by pulling away while Adrien appeared to be unfazed.

"Sorry!" He exclaimed reflexively as Adrien waved away his worries. But then a new problem arose as they both heard a throat clearing and they turned to see two girls from earlier.

This time both were flustered as Adrien apologized immediately. "Oh sorry! We're so sorry!" He said, but was met by Aeon smiling happily while her roommate rolled her eyes.

"If you two lovebirds are looking for a place to be alone sorry to say our room isn't that place." The other girl remarked lamely.

"We're just friends!" Marin immediately corrected. "We were just looking for a way onto the roof. Sorry to trouble you two."

"So are you two dating?!" Aeon asked, immediately in excitement while her roommate immediately covered her mouth.

'"If you want to get to the roof without attracting attention, and also my nosey friend here, there are stairs outside." She said tilting her head towards the window. Adrien went on ahead while Marin turned to the two girls.

"Thanks uh-"

"Jess."

A sincere smile drew on Marin's face as he thanked her. "Thanks Jess." He said and then walked over to Adrien who helped him through the window by hand onto the staircase on the fire escape.

Behind them, however, Aeon escaped her partner grasp and held onto hands with an excited look on her face. "See?! Aren't they just the sweetest to each other?!" She asked as Jess for once had a curious expression on her face. She then jumped off the bed to grab something while her partner looked at her eagerly.

"What are you doing? Didn't you want this, babysitting, to be over quickly?" She asked as she saw Jess holding her guitar.

"Well, if we're going to watch over them, we may as well have a little fun with it! Isn't that what you wanted?" She asked as Aeon's face lit up happily.

On top of the roof, Adrien and Marin greeted their friends, as they were surrounded by other students and music. Everyone was socializing with each other and having a good time, but Marin broke away from the group to check his phone, seeing that he had a text notification. Opening it up, he quickly read it over in relief and immediately replied.

"What are you doing hiding over here?"

Marin turned to see Aeon smiling at him while her roommate was playing her music for the students, and starting a little dance party.

"Uh- just responding to a text." He said honestly as he placed his phone back in his messenger bag.

"Is it perhaps someone you like?" She asked curiously taking a step forward.

"No, it's nothing like that. Just some friends back home that I need to check up on."

"Ohh, how considerate and kind of you!" Aeon remarked with a smile. "Would you like to join your friends? I think someone, in particular, would be very happy."

Marin looked at her in confusion, but before he could inquire any further all of the students on the roof started to gather towards someone else landing near the school roof. "

"HEY HEY HEY! Hot Dog Dan is here, so GET THE MOOD! I'm the hero of picnics and tasty foods!" The superhero remarked as he started handing out hotdogs and beverages.

Who is that?" Marin asked as he and Aeon walked up towards his other friends and Jess.

"That's Hot Dog Dan, he has the power to give random abilities using his enchanted hot dogs. Usually, he teams up with Ketchup Boy and Mustard Justice, but looks like he's patrolling solo tonight. You should hurry if you wanna try one of his magic hotdogs." Jess recommended while around them their classmates and other students began showing off their new temporary powers and enjoying themselves.

Nino and Adrien walked ahead to grab hotdogs while Marin and Alya caught up with them, by the time it was their turn, the stock had almost run out.

"Sorry guys. I only have two hotdogs left for the four of you." Hot Dog Dan said apologetically.

Nino placed his money on the counter as he took the two remaining hot dogs. "Not a problem. My girl and I will take one, and you two take the other!" He said handing the other hot dog over to Adrien while he spit the one he had with Alya.

"Ah- you can have it Adrien." Marin said as he feared what kind of conundrum his bad luck and an enchanted hot dog would do.

But Adrien shook his head. "No, you can have it, I don't think I have the palette for this kind of thing anyhow."

"Oh for crying-" Alya remarked in exhaustion as her friends went back and forth. She stepped forward and split the hotdog in half.

Marin and Adrien looked at each other before taking a bite, giving each other a sheepish grin. As they tried it, both felt their bodies become lighter. As soon as Marin no longer felt the ground under his feet he began to panic. He immediately covered his eyes with his hands, believing that if there was nothing to look at then there would be nothing to fear. However- he was sorely mistaken as the lack of feet on solid ground dispelled any illusion. The only anchor he had was Adrien grabbing his hand, which he held onto for dear life.

"How are you feeling?" Adrien asked.

"GREAT. JuST-" Marin rasped out. " Just hovering above the city with no safety nets, or ropes, or anything to keep us tethered safely on the nice unmoving ground. THIS IS FINE."

"Well- you do have a charm of protection, add that to the charm of courage you gave me, and I think nothing bad can really happen." Adrien said supportively, as this gave Marin the will to at least peak out from behind his hand. His eyes widened looking out towards the New York skyline. His breath was taken away as he looked out towards the lit-up city against the night.

"... So what's their deal?" Jess asked Alya and Nino who were standing nearby, looking up at the scene playing out before their eyes.

"They're both airheaded. In more ways than one apparently." Alya remarked in a high pitched voice. "But they're sweet on each other."

"So are they a couple?" Aeon asked.

"Far from. The blonde one is spoken for and the cute one...is anxious." Alya said.

"But you wouldn't think it from looking at them." Nino said as he finished his hot dog.

The next day, all of the students arrived before the museum together. Marin stepped off and stood to the side, checking his phone as he adjusted his sunglasses on his forehead. He was only distracted as Alya jabbed his side with her elbow, garnering his attention.

"It was so romantic, you two floating together under the moonlight, wasn't it?"

"Romantic?" Marin said in disbelief. "Next time you can have the fear of heights and levitate over the city." He remarked while Alya then pointed out a bald man a few meters away from them.

"Hey look! That teacher over there! That's Dean Gate, a.k.a. Doorman! He can turn any door into a teleporting passage!"

"What? How do you know that?" Marin asked in surprise.

"Oh, superheroes don't necessarily need to hide their true identities in America! AMAZING! I'm going to ask him for a quote for the Ladyblog!" She said running off towards the hero.

"Since when do you wear glasses?" Nino asked as he and Marin walked up to the museum together as he pointed towards the sunglasses that sat atop his head.

"It's pretty sunny."

"Neat! Can I try them on?" Nino asked while Marin tensed up, trying to think up a plausible excuse.

"Uh-oh, I have to call my mother! I forgot!" He said taking out his phone and quickly walking ahead of them while Nino looked on in confusion.

Within the museum, Jess and Aeon stood near each other next to Alya and Nino. Jess turned back towards the door where she saw Marin walking off in another direction from the group as he talked on the phone and Adrien pulled him back from getting lost again.

"Those two seem to exhibit repetitive behaviours!" Aeon observed as Jess took noticed as well.

"You know- there's always one surefire way to get the adrenaline pumping; a supervillain attack!"

"Huh?" Both Alya and Nino looked at her in confusion.

"We're from Paris, super villain attacks happen basically every week." Nino pointed out.

"Right, but you guys are on vacation of sorts. There is nothing more terrifying than being in danger when you believe you're safe." Jess remarked. "Right now they're in a safe place. If anything's gonna change between them, they'll need to find themselves in a seriously dangerous situation."

"What?! Are you out of your mind!?" Alya exclaimed in disbelief.

"Statistically speaking, two humans confronted with extreme situations often cause their feelings for each other to become stronger." Aeon pointed out.

"We need to make them believe they'll never see each other again! And that is the last chance they'll ever get to tell each other how they truly feel! Here's what we're gonna do: During the visit, you're going to get them to go to the Lafayette room alone! BOOM! That's when supervillain Solitude shows up and threatens to kidnap any person that nobody loves! He threatens Adrien, and in order to save him-"

"And then Marin says, "No, don't kidnap him, I love him!", then they get together!" Aeon explained with an excited smile.

Alya hummed to herself. "Okay... It's so stupid, it could actually work if it was anyone other than our boys.

"Yeah- even if this was legit and one shouted, "I love you!", from the rooftops the other would just take it as a friendship thing- and vice versa. They don't have a lot of self-esteem." Nino said.

Jess chuckled at their words, certain of her and Aeons skills. "Trust us! Get them to the room and we'll take care of the rest." She said as Aeon walked away with her. As soon as they were a good distance from them Aeon tapped her shoulder.

"For someone who didn't want me to meddle with other people's lives, you seem deeply involved." Aeon said playfully.

In response, Jess rolled her eyes with an amused grin. "This is more fun than just simple babysitting."

Dean Gate: This is the famous sabre of the Marquis de Lafayette. And here the necklace he presented to George Washington as a symbol of friendship between the French American people. Careful! The security system is very sensitive! You don't wanna be accidentally setting off the alarm. Let's carry on to the next room, where we'll see the Statue of Liberty!

Marin stopped in place as he heard his phone ringing, his eyes then narrowed as he saw the ladybug symbol. "Hey-" He said tapping Adrien's shoulder, "I'm going to the restroom."

"Okay, don't get lost on the way back."

"Ha. Ha." Marin remarked as he walked in a direction opposite from the group.

As soon as he was inside the restroom, he answered the call and immediately nodded at what he heard. "Thanks Barkk, you and the rest go hide in the box. We'll handle the rest."

As soon as he put away his phone he placed his sunglasses over his eyes, summoning a ball of energy that materialized into Kalkki.

"It's about time you let me stretch my legs." She yawned as Tikki joined her.

"Thanks for being a good sport." Marin said gratefully. He had taken the horse miraculous with him for emergencies, now that there was an attack in the city he could teleport there and back without worry. "Kalkki, Tikki: Unify!"

Horseshoe appeared in place, as he raised his arm, focusing his thoughts as to the location of the attack. "Voyage!" He exclaimed, making a portal back to Paris, which he stepped through.

Adrien listened on to the lecture by the supposed hero, as he eagerly explained the history of the Statue of Liberty to America. As he was listening intently however- Nino tapped his shoulder.

"Dude, I can't find my headphones! Could you go check the other room and see if I left them there? I'll look here." Nino asked.

"No problem. I'm on it!" Adrien said without a second thought, walking back to the other room where the sabre was. As soon as he entered the room, the door shut behind him, and when he tried to open it back up, he quickly discovered it was locked.

"That's strange." Adrien murmured, but then a familiar noise on his phone drew his attention away. Taking it out, his eyes widened in shock as there was an Akuma attack going on.

"Akumatized villain, Robostus, is spreading panic in Paris. And with Ladybug on the scene, there's no sign of Chat Noir!" The camera then zoomed in on Ladybug racing over the rooftops of the city, evading the attacks of the giant robot. But Adrien's stomach sank when the hero was grabbed by cable wires. Robostus was one of the few villains they never defeated, but with Markov in New York Adrien knew something else was very wrong.

"Pla-" Adrien was about to exclaim out, but then the lights shut off.

Ladybug was thrown against a wall as Robustus began throwing cars around the city like they were toys. He grumbled to himself, as he threw up his yo-yo in the air, and from it, he caught a rubber duck.

He looked down at it in confusion, but then quickly formed an idea as he saw the number of pipes this creation had. However- just as he was about to stand up, his body felt weak due to the effects of the unification power. At that moment- Robustus got the advantage and sent a barrage of wires flying towards the black-spotted hero. As Ladybug manoeuvred through the attacks- barely leaving room for error. One thought crept into his mind as he had to take on the technological titan by himself.

Chat Noir where are you?!

"What are those two doing?" Jess asked, as she and Aeon only saw Adrien on his own when Marin was nowhere in sight.

" I'm not sure - but his stress levels are high enough to engage Phase 2!" Aeon pointed out.

"We can't do anything without Marin, use your scanners, where is he?" Jess directed as Aeon followed orders.

"Huh?" Aeon remarked. "I don't sense him."

"What? What do you mean?!" Jess asked, now slightly panicking. "Are you sure he's not in the restroom or something? Or maybe something else is interfering with your scanners?"

"The only thing that could do that would be-" Aeon began to explain, but was interrupted by the ceiling caving in- revealing a familiar villain who cackled. The villain's appearance was different, but he zeroed in on the security system which he disrupted, and then placed his devices on the nearby canons.

"Techno-Pirate?! He escaped?!" Jess exclaimed in disbelief.

"He seems more powerful. But I can't read fully, as if... magic is interfering with my scanning tools!" Aeon said as the two jumped into action- pressing their bracelets to transform.

Adrien hid behind a pillar as he watched a villain destroy the Lafayette's exhibit with arm canons and then grabbed the sabre behind the display case.

"Hey! I thought your thing was new technology!"

Adrien looked up to see two American heroes, Sparrow and Uncanny Valley.

"I DON'T HAVE TIME TO PLAY WITH ANNOYING KIDS!" The villain exclaimed as he started shooting them with his canons, causing the entire building to shake.

"Shouldn't we head back ASAP to help Ladybug?" Plagg asked as he popped his head out of Adrien's shirt. Adrien looked between his Kwami, and the two heroes taking on a new villain- now filled with anxiety as he knew his partner was fighting alone.

"Run, run! Come on!" Doorman exclaimed as he transported the students on the field trip back to the school safely while Uncanny Valley and Sparrow took on the powered-up Techno-Pirate.

Sparrow his behind a pillar while Uncanny Valley drew the villain's attention away. "Sparrow to United Heroez! Enhanced Techno-Pirate-" She said, but her communicator was suddenly fried.

"That's Techlonizer to you!" The villain exclaimed evilly as he continued his attack on Uncanny Valley, trying to grab her.

"This way, kids - this is too much for you to handle!" Doorman exclaimed as he opened his portal for them to escape.

Uncanny Valley began to fly towards the portal, but suddenly Techlonizer grabbed her, absorbing her powers and then throwing her against a wall. The villain laughed evilly while Uncanny Valley stood up, trying to aim a laser towards him but quickly realized that her powers were gone.

"What?!" Uncanny Valley exclaimed as Techlonizer grabbed her- absorbing her powers more as he grinned evilly. "NOBODY ESCAPES MY SIGHT!" He exclaimed as one of his claws swatted away Sparrow who tried to attack him from behind. His body shot out the same lasers that Uncanny Valley used, causing damage to the museum and destroying Doorman's portal.

Both Doorman and Uncanny Valley were grabbed as Techlonizer began absorbing their powers. "LET'S SEE IF I CAN ABSORB YOU WHOLE!" He exclaimed as the two grew weaker. But then the connection was cut as a staff broke through the claws.

"Hasn't your mother ever taught you to keep your grimy hands to yourself?!" Chat Noir exclaimed as he helped Uncanny Valley up to her feet.

"Chat Noir?" The android asked in surprise. "You've come all the way from Paris to help us out?" She inquired while the hero nervously grinned.

"Yeah! I thought it'd be friendly to give you a hand in honor of French American Friendship Week!" He said before pushing her out of the way from Techlonizer's lasers. "But more importantly, help out your partner- I'll take care of Doorman!" Chat Noir ordered as Uncanny Valley nodded.

Though her powers were taken, Uncanny Valley still had access to the rockets in her body. She flew over to Sparrow- quickly saving her from falling debris.

"What's happening?" Sparrow asked as she held her head.

"My powers were taken, Doorman is knocked out, and the hero Chat Noir is here to give us aid."

"Chat Noir?!" Sparrow exclaimed in disbelief as she looked on at the fight between the Parisian hero and Techlonizer.

The Cat-themed hero spun his staff into a protective shield to keep him from Techlonizer's lazer blasts, taking each free moment to break off another one of his arms before they could reform.

Sparrow's eyes widened in amazement at the autonomous hero, who wasn't bound to a mentor and became inspired. "UV, follow his lead!"

"What? Did you warn Knightowl and Majestia?" Uncanny Valley asked.

"I would have if I could, but Techlonizer fried my communication device. Did you contact them?"

Uncanny Valley shook her head. "My communication powers are gone."

"We're on our own then." Sparrow remarked as the museum only grew more unstable.

"Ladies, gents, and birds, a little help would be appreciated!" Chat Noir called out as he tumbled back from one of Techlonizer's blasts- crashing into a pillar and then falling to the ground. Uncanny Valley spun around as she threw Sparrow towards Techlonizer, who planted bird bombs on him before jumping off and detonating them.

"Don't you have a partner?" Sparrow asked as a cloud of dust filled the room. "You know the ladybug dude?"

"Indeed, they say that you're bonded by trust and are super-efficient!" Uncanny Valley pointed out.

Chat Noir's ears flattened as he gripped his staff tighter. "He's uh-" He tried to speak but Techlonizer used the cover to flee.

"He's escaping towards the roof!" Uncanny Valley exclaimed as she grabbed Sparrow while Chat Noir extended his pole to keep up with the two heroes.

"Surrender, Techno-Pirate! There's nowhere to run now!" Sparrow exclaimed as the villain was on the roof.

Techlonizer smirked as he grew his claws. "Why run away when I can finally get my revenge by eliminating the beloved kids of AMERICA'S MOST BELOVED HEROES!" He exclaimed as his claws then extended, grabbing onto all three heroes at once.

"Cataclysm!" Chat Noir exclaimed, activating his power, but Techlonizer only lifted up his hand away- preventing him from using his ability.

"You think that cheap trick is going to work on me?!" Techlonizer cackled, as the claws began to constrain the heroes. But then a portal appeared from above, surprising Techlonizer as he was hit face first with a boot to the face and then in one swift move all his claws were cut off by a horseshoe.

Chat Noir's heart sank as he saw his partner appear before him using the horse and Ladybug Miraculous combined.

"Horseshoe." Chat Noir said, as his partner shot him a glare just as the unified hero's weapon returned to his hand.

"What is this? A clown?!" Techlonizer mocked as he laughed in the heroes face.

"Who is this?!" Sparrow exclaimed to Chat Noir who couldn't bring himself to respond in the presence of the person whose trust he had betrayed.

"Lucky Charm!" Horseshoe exclaimed, throwing his yo-yo over his head, and from it receiving a ladybug printed bracelet. He looked down at the item for a moment before jumping into action, using his remaining time to fight back. Using his enchanted strength via the horse miraculous, he kicked away the reformed claws. Then he sent Techlonizer flying, by jumping on his chest and kicking his chin just as he transformed back into Ladybug. In mid-air, he swiftly used his yo-yo to bind the villain so he couldn't move anymore.

The two American heroes were stunned at the villain; they just had trouble with being defeated in a few moves.

"He's yours now." Ladybug said, walking past them and towards his partner who couldn't look him in the eye- even unable to speak.

Chat Noir gripped his arm, waiting for any semblance of anger.

"What happened? Why are you in New York?" Ladybug asked, with a voice holding no malice.

"I- " Chat Noir tried to say, but then pushed Ladybug out the way as Uncanny Valley was thrown at them as Techlonizer broke free of his bonds, knocking Sparrow off the roof.

Time seemed to slow down as, before his eyes, Chat Noir watched as Uncanny Valley's body rusted while Ladybug dashed to grab Sparrow. His breath escaped him as he fell to his knees, unable to even process what had just happened as he looked down at Uncanny Valley's limp body.

The negative voices in his mind surfaced as his mind became hazy. He didn't even notice the shattering of glass surrounding him as Techlonizer was punched by Majestia. Sending him flying through multiple buildings before turning to Uncanny Valley and breaking down as she held her child.

" What have you done!?" She exclaimed full of grief as Chat Noir was unable to respond. He didn't even respond as Ladybug had returned along with Sparrow. Uncanny Valley's body android form reverted back, revealing herself to be Aeon- the girl whom he and the rest of his friends had befriended. Which only added a layer of terror to Chat Noir's being as he knew he had broken apart another family.

"Chat? Chat Noir?!"

"...It's...It's my fault." He said as the image of Master Fu's limp body flashed before his eyes.

Knightowl then appeared holding a sabre in hand, fuming at the seams. "Why didn't you call us? And, you, what are you doing here?!" The hero demanded.

"We- I-" Sparrow tried to explain as Ladybug knelt before Uncanny Valley and Majestia.

"I might be able to help." He said gently as his expression softened when speaking to the grieving woman. Ladybug then took out a ladybug printed bracelet, throwing it up in the sky.

"Miraculous Ladybug!" He exclaimed, spreading magical ladybugs through the city, turning everything back to normal.

Uncanny Valley opened her eyes as she spoke aloud. "Rebooting." She said and then turned to her mother with a smile, who hugged her child.

"Oh, thank you, Ladybug!" Majestia exclaimed, now glad that her child was safe. However, Knightowl approached Chat Noir angrily.

"You are a threat to this city!" He exclaimed as Chat Noir flinched at his tone.

"No, they tried to-" Sparrow tried to intervene but backed down as Knightowl spoke again.

"And you two! You disobeyed direct orders and abandoned your mission! You both took on an enhanced villain and look what happened you could have died!" The hero boomed angrily. "Sparrow and Uncanny Valley you are suspended from hero duties until further notice."

"But-" Uncanny Valley tried to explain but she was hushed by Majesta.

"And you Parsian Heroes-" Knightowl said as he glared at Chat Noir. "You endangered our city, our children. No wonder your city is always in chaos, without a proper mentor guiding you, you're both dangerous. Until you two leave the city you're to hand over the sources of your power to prevent any more chaos." He ordered holding out his hand.

"It's better like this." Majesta said, trying to quell the situation. "What would've happened if you hadn't been able to fix Uncanny or she hadn't been an android?"

Chat Noir's body started to shake as he looked down at his Miraculous starting to beep. But then he lifted his head as Ladybug stepped in between the two of them with a determined expression.

"I understand that you must be distressed over what just happened. But barking around orders when you don't have the full story isn't the way to handle this kind of situation." Ladybug said sternly as all shocked expressions were on him and Knightowl.

"What did you say?" Knightowl demanded as he narrowed his eyes.

"You're trying to push the blame on everyone but the villain who caused this. Instead of arguing we should be working together to track down this villain." Ladybug explained with a calm tone that started to scare Chat Noir at how his partner was able to take control of the situation.

"You're just a child with magical reversal powers so you may not understand this. But your partner over there just took a life, just because you have the power to reverse it, doesn't mean that you're not responsible! What would happen if you weren't there to undo his mistakes?!"

"That will never happen."

Chat Noir's eyes widened as his anxiety grew more at Ladybug's words and unflinching resolve.

"You don't know anything about Chat Noir or me. It's my responsibility to restore whatever is destroyed, just as he uses his power to protect people. But it's also my duty to keep the source of our power safe from adults who don't understand its power." Ladybug said, as he grabbed Chat Noir's hand, catching his partner off guard, as they then jumped off the roof.

"STOP RIGHT THERE! THAT'S AN ORDER!" Knightowl commanded, following them- but as he jumped off the building the two had already vanished.

Chat Noir looked on as Ladybug never once let go of his hand as they ran through the sewers together. As his heart started to break, he stopped in place, surprising Ladybug who turned to him.

"Chat Noir?"

"It's all my fault." He said aloud, unable to look at his partner as he felt Ladybug grip his hand tighter.

Ladybug's expression fell as he heard his partner saying those words aloud. "It was an accident Chat Noir." He said, trying to comfort his partner.

But that comfort felt like splinters as Chat Noir looked at Ladybug with a wry expression.

"Knightowl was right to want to confiscate my Miraculous. I left Paris without telling you; I placed everyone in danger by fighting without you; And if Uncanny Valley hadn't been a robot, I would've caused irreparable harm."

"Chat Noir I said earlier that I would always be there to-"

"That doesn't matter!" Chat Noir exclaimed back, taking a few steps away from his friend. "If it wasn't for you...if I were better...Master Fu would still be around. I'm supposed to be the one supporting you, but here you are taking on more burdens you don't deserve to deal with." He said trying to hold back the tears turning his back to his partner. "I've just been waiting for you to be upset with me, to yell at me, to hate me for not being enough. But somehow- being kind to me, believing in me, defending me is somehow worse."

Ladybug's eyes widened at Chat Noir's confession as he tried to reach out to his partner, but held back. "Please, just talk to me. We're partner's Chat Noir, friends; if you were leaving Paris for a little while-"

"I'm sorry."

"Huh?" Ladybug looked at his partner's eyes, seeing an indescribable amount of pain behind the emerald green eyes that almost always held glee.

"You trust me so much, so much so that I'm sure that this black cat would only bring you down. It's funny isn't it, never expecting the one person you care about to turn that confidence against you."

"CHAT NOIR WAIT-" Ladybug explained as he reached for his partner placing a hand on his ring.

"I never want to risk hurting anyone ever again, you most of all. Plagg, claws in."

Ladybug immediately shut his eyes as he grabbed his partner's arm, knowing it was Chat Noir before him. He could feel every part of him screaming at him not to let go of the person who had always inspired him to be a better hero- to become stronger in order to protect all he cared about. For a moment he wondered where it all went wrong as he grasped onto his partner's arm.

"Chat Noir- wasn't it you who said that it was us against the world? That I wouldn't lose you? It's always been us, now more than ever, please...please don't leave me behind." He begged growing more desperate. Every time he lost someone it broke him inside, if Chat Noir were to leave...he was certain the damage would be irrevocable.

"I did." Chat Noir said, placing a hand over Ladybugs. "But that was before I realized how much of a burden I am for you. You've always deserved better than a goofball in a black cat suit." Chat Noir chuckled as he removed Ladybug's hand from his arm, and placed his ring in the palm of his partner's hand. "I renounce my role as Chat Noir." He said as Ladybug couldn't feel him anymore.

The hero couldn't say a word, only falling to his knees as he heard Chat Noir run off in his civilian form. His partner knew all of his weakness, knowing all too well that he wouldn't be able to stop him if he transformed back. Even if he could draw the strength to chase after him, he couldn't force Chat Noir to take his miraculous back. As he looked down at the ring in his hand, at Plagg who had been summoned, it all came crashing down- that now he really was truly alone.
