A/N: Ah, the werewolf episode, one of my favorite episodes from the show. But this'll be drastically different from the show. You'll understand why once you read it. But reminder there will be a little gore so read at your own risk, okay? Reason why i haven't updated anything is just like my reason from the last chapter, i can't figure out any of the endings, it's my fault for not knowing how to end it.
Chapter 23: The Girl Who Cried BenWolf
In the empty desert of Arizona, Max was listening to an Indian Dream Catcher history on the radio, Gwen was riding in the passenger seat up front, Hope sat across from a bored riddled Ben Tennyson, who was staring lifelessly out the window.
"Ben, are you alright?" Hope asked curious about the alien hero's demeanor.
Ben blinked a few times before gazing over to the sorceress, "Yeah, just bored." He turned his attention to his grandfather who was upfront, "Grandpa, where are we going?"
"To visit my long time friend, Wes Green. His town is just a few minutes from here." Max answers as Ben nods absentmindedly as he went back to gazing out the window to watching the sun set in the horizon.
"Ben, did you ever name that new alien future you gifted you?" Gwen peeked from her seat at her bored cousin.
The alien hero smirked before nodding, "Yeah, went with the name: Articguana." After speaking the newest alien's name the Master Control feature picked up on his request and soon in a flash of emerald light, Ben was seated in the booth, as a blue alien iguana in a black and white jumpsuit.
Hope had to shield her eyes at the sudden burst of light, "Ben?!"
"Aw man, I was just saying the name. I didn't mean to actually transform into him." Articguana sighed before another emerald flash occured and Ben was back in the booth, adjusting his jacket.
Hope was stifling a laugh as Gwen got up and sat next to her, "Articguana, huh? Gotta admit that's a good name. For an amateur."
Ben laughed sarcastically, "Real funny."
"It's okay, Ben, I appreciate your naming abilities." Hope chuckled as Ben rolled his eyes to see a bright light approaching.
"Looks like we're here, gang." Max smiled as they drew closer to the small town. The trio gazed at all the small buildings located around the town. The RV soon stops infront of a large building that looked like a museum. The quartet soon climb out the motorhome to find various people, buying fruit, selling items, doing some sort of native dance. Until they hear a voice call out to them.
"Max!" The Tennyson's turn towards the voice to see someone standing infront of the museum.
Standing infront of the building is a Native American man, in a yellow shirt, brown leather jacket, jeans, and boots. He had grey hair tied back in a ponytail. Next to him was a girl about Ben and Gwen's age. She like the older man was Native American, black hair, with a loose bang, she was wearing a short sleeved red shirt, tan shorts, and brown boots.
"Wes!" Max grinned before walking towards the older Native who returned the greeting. The two men hugged tightly, "It's been many years, Wes, how've you been doing?"
"Life's been great, I believe you remember my granddaughter, Kai?" He questioned before gesturing to the teenager who bowed.
"Is that little Kai?" He laughed, "I haven't seen you since you were in diapers." Kai laughed lightly at his humor, "Wes, I believe you already know my grandkids." He gestured towards Ben and Gwen, "Ben and Gwen. And a friend of ours Hope."
"Nice to see you two again. And a pleasure to meet you Hope." Wes greeted, but it fell on deaf ears for Ben who couldn't stop staring at Kai. Ben felt his cheeks heat up when Kai glanced at him and smiled softly.
"You as well, Mr. Green." Gwen returned the greeting.
"Thank you for having us here." Hope smiled.
"Please, call me, Wes. Mr. Green was my father." He laughed which caused Max to laugh.
Ben had walked over to Kai, he could feel his pulse quicken in his chest, "Uh hi Kai, I'm Ben Tennyson. It's nice to meet you." He greeted as Kai smiled at him.
"Likewise Ben." As the two continued there conversation, Gwen and Hope watched from a few feet away. The duo could see Ben tripping over himself as he talked to Kai.
Hope felt extremely crushed as Ben was laughing and smiling like a maniac around Kai, but she kept her composer. Gwen on the other hand saw right through her and glared at Ben for attempting to flirt with another girl like Hope wasn't here.
"Ignore Ben, Hope. The idiot isn't in his right state of mind." Gwen remarked as Hope still felt a bit discouraged.
"I thought we were finally making progress in our attempts at a relationship, but it seems that wasn't the case." Hope sighed and Gwen felt anger at her cousin.
"Give him time, Hope. I'm sure he'll see through this girl's facade. He'll come running back to you in no time." Gwen smiled lightly, but Hope crossed her arms over her chest and glared at Kai.
"Thanks for inviting us to the opening to your museum, Wes." Max smiled as the Native American patted him on the shoulder.
"Of course, you're one of my oldest friends Max." Wes laughed as Max rolled his eyes playfully, "Do you guys have a place to stay?"
Max smiled and gestured to the Rust Bucket behind them, "Of course."
"That thing still runs?" Wes asked quizzically.
"Of course, she does. Runs like a dream." Max replied offended.
"Sorry, didn't mean to offend you, Max. Come you and your family can stay with us." Wes offered.
"I guess we can." Max accepted as he glanced over to Gwen and Hope glaring at Ben and Kai who seemed to engrossed in some sort of conversation, "Seems our grandkids are getting along."
"I noticed." He laughed, "Your grandson seems infatuated with my granddaughter. Should we arrange a future wedding?"
Max laughed heartily, "Who knows, I'm still holding out hope, he and a certain someone will get together." He looked from his grandson and Kai to Hope.
Wes soon followed his gaze and felt saddened, "I see, her and Ben?"
"Not yet. Ben's told me somethings about it, Hope's told me and Gwen somethings as well. It seems the both of them are avoiding the talk." Max said as Wes sighed.
"Ah, young love, doesn't get better even after all these years." Wes sighed in contempt, "How's you and Verdona?"
Max smiled, "She's great, exploring the universe like usual. She said she'll come visit her grandkids soon since a certain someone takes after her." After hearing that Wes's gaze falls to Gwen who's standing next to Hope.
"You can't mean?"
"I do."
"Have you told her?"
"No, Verdona said she'll do it herself."
Wes sighed, "Leave it to that woman to make things complicated."
"You and me both." He chuckled, "Shall we get going to your place?"
"Right, sorry." Wes apologized quickly before rounding up the group of teenagers when suddenly, flashes of purple lightning lit up the night sky gaining the groups attention.
"Lightning?" Gwen questioned gazing into the starless sky.
"Is it gonna rain?" Ben asked confused not seeing a single cloud in the sky. More flashes of purple lightning light up the sky when one struck a building and a beastly figure soon disappeared.
"Come on let's head for shelter!" Wes advises before guiding them to his house, a few blocks from the museum. As soon as they turn the corner a flood of water, blows them off there feet.
"It's a flood!" Max yells.
'Not again!' Ben thinks as Hope creates a mana bubble encasing the group inside, "Thanks Hope."
"Wait, where's Kai?!" Wes shouts frantically in search of his granddaughter.
"Help!" The group hears a cry of help and turn to see Kai shrugging to stay afloat on a lightpole.
"Hope, open the bubble." Ben replies.
"Ben, no. Let Gwen grab her!" Hope shouts.
"Yeah, Ben, let me grab her." Gwen says.
Ben shook his head, "Open it." He warned as Hope sighed and opened the mana bubble. The teenaged hero descended into a freefall before he splashed into the flooded street, the master control sequence of the Omnitrix picked up on it's user's thoughts and a blinding emerald light engulfed the area before splashing into the water.
Ben's skin started growing grey scales all across his body. His hands turned into webbed clawed fingers. On his neck three zig zagged lines opened revealing themselves to be gills. He grew a phosphorescent light from his forehead. His jaw extended outwards as dozens upon dozens of fangs parted from his lips. His chest was covered with armor plates, with fins extending from his armpits to the sides of his chest. On his elbows with fins growing from them were black braces appearing along his forearms. On his waist were two black lines perpendicular to each other. On his thighs were two black bands wrapped tightly. On the back of his legs were two small fins and he had two webbed toes. He grew a really large tail with larger fins at the end. Two more fins ran down his back. On his head was a larger fin. His emerald eyes broke into six white eyes. Attached to his gills around his neck was a water intake filter. He wore a black brace on his left shoulder with the Omnitrix badge on it, "RIPJAWS!" The Piscciss Volann exclaimed before cutting through the currents like a knife through butter.
Kai felt her grip on the lightpost slipping, RipJaws swam faster when he saw Kai let go and he soon shot up and grabbed her hand, "Hold tight." He stated as he wrapped his webbed hands around her waist and swam through flooded streets before shooting into the air, where the badge on his bicep flashed green and another emerald light erupted.
RipJaws started transforming into a manta ray, his head, upper chest, arms, and backside were a dark shade of crimson red. His chest and patagia were white with three gills on both sides of his ribs, with his feet being black while having three toes; two in the front and one in the back. On his hands were also three fingers while also being black. He had lightning bolts on his back side race over his shoulders towards the center of his chest where the crimson red and white clashed. On the sides of his face grew out two yellow large horns, while on his head were two large yellow horns protuding outwards. His eyes were emerald green, while his lips were outlined yellow like his horns. The Omnitrix badge appeared in the middle of his chest where the lightning bolts met, "JETRAY!" The Aerophibian exclaimed shooting into the sky.
Holding on tight to Kai, he flew through the air towards the hovering mana bubble that soon set itself onto the top of a nearby building. The Aerophibian set down the Native American girl before landing down beside her. He slammed his hand onto the badge on his chest and reverted back to normal, "Kai, are you okay?"
She coughed up more water before nodding her head frantically, "Yes, I am. Thank you." Soon the duo was interrupted by Wes hugging Kai like crazy.
"Kai, are you alright?" Wes asked scared for her life.
"Yes, grandpa, I'm okay. Thanks to him." Kai smiled as Wes looked over to Ben then to Max.
"Thank you, Benjamin. And you have some explaining to do Max."
Max chuckled, "Seems so." The group was about to descend the building's stairs when Ben felt a humongous wave of bloodlust directed at him. The boy whipped his head around before he set his sights on a rather unfamiliar sight.
"Uh guys?" Ben called out to them as he gazed at the moon.
"Ben is something wrong?" Gwen asked confused on what Ben was staring at.
"Is the moon supposed to be red?" He asked which made everyone raise an eyebrow at such a ridiculous question.
"What are you talking about the moon isn't red-" Max replied incredulously till the group looked at the moon and it infact was red like Ben had asked.
"Again, is the moon supposed to be red?" Ben asked again this time fear laced in his voice.
"No, it shouldn't be possible." Wes replied frantically as he saw the large planet hovering in the sky a blood red color.
"Do you know something about this, Wes?" Max asked curiously.
"Legends and myths. Supposedly every hundred years the moon will bathe itself in a red light for a week." Wes answered.
"What?" The three teenagers shouted. Max raised an eyebrow at him quizzically at the lack of information he was hiding.
"That can't be all of it, can it?" Max asked as Wes gazed downwards before the group soon heard a howl echo into the night sky.
"You can't be serious?" Hope replied as the howl reverberated throughout the small town.
"Was that a wolf?" Gwen asked.
"We call it the Yenaldooshi, it's plagued this town for decades. Attacking our people, our buildings, and animals. We've tried hunting it, but it always ends up escaping." Wes explains.
"Okay, get to the part where the moon is red and this Yenaldooshi is howling." Ben replies skeptically not liking how this'll turn out.
"It's been said, while the moon is red, the Yenaldooshi will be able to turn others." The Tennyson family's eyes widen in horror.
"Are you saying we came here during a fucking blood moon and this werewolf can turn us?!" Ben yelled angrily.
"Yes."
"It's not your fault, Wes. You couldn't have known, this would happen." Max patted the Native on the back, "But this shouldn't be a coincidence, that we naturally showed up during, what Ben is calling a blood moon."
"What do you mean?" Hope asked curiously.
"Please don't say what I hope your thinking." Ben replied a bit afraid on this outcome.
"Werewolf hunting." Max grinned as Ben groaned.
"That doesn't sound like a bad idea, Max." Wes replied.
"Are we really ignoring the obvious?!" Ben shouted gaining everyone's attention, "There is a werewolf on the loose and you wanna hunt it and let's add fuel to the fire with it being able to turn us into one. This is a bad idea."
"Grandpa, I hate to say it, but I think Ben is right." Gwen replied as Max looked at them as they'd grown a second head.
"Besides, how would we even find it? Let alone kill it?" Hope asked the million dollar question.
"We don't need to kill it, we just need to keep it bound somewhere it'll never hurt anyone again." Wes states.
"How would we do that?" Kai asks.
"I have a few tranquilizers stashed in the house, but we need somewhere to keep it bound."
"Bound? How are we even gonna find it?" Ben asked.
"Easy, I can track it." Wes states proudly.
"Grandpa, can I go?" Kai asks excited to go on this monster hunt.
"Sorry Kai, only Braves can go. Meaning Gwen and Hope are to also remain behind." Gwen and Hope's eyes widened in shock.
"What?!" They shouted angrily.
"Not to be that guy, but I think that's pretty stupid. We'd need them both." Ben replies rubbing his neck anxiously.
"Ben's right, Wes, we'd need both Hope and Gwen to bring down the Yenaldooshi." Max states.
"I'm sorry, but it's our tradition. Now let's go hunt this beast." Wes replies.
Wes, Max, and Ben had went trekking throughout the deserts terrain heading towards the mountain where the Yenaldooshi supposedly lived, a dozen miles from the town. Wes and Max held a rifles with tranquilizers loaded into it. While Ben would rely on the Omnitrix's power, but he didn't like this one bit.
It had been an hour since they begun there monster hunt, they'd hadn't come across anything monstrous aside from a few bugs and lizards.
"This sucks, where does this thing live anyway?" Ben replied loudly.
"On that mountain. We're almost there." Wes replies as Ben groans in annoyance.
"Cheer up, Ben, the faster we find this Yenaldooshi, the sooner we can go to bed." Max said as Ben stuffed his hands into his pockets and had to silently agree with his grandpa.
It was soon another hour before the trio came upon a cliff overlooking the vast desert and the small town in the distance. The trio decided to take a break before continuing there hunt.
"So Max, wanna explain how your grandson can transform into those monstrous creatures?" Wes asked the retired plumber.
Max sighed, "Two months ago, Ben found the Omnitrix and it's been clamped to his wrist ever since." He summarized.
"Interesting and I assume you've been helping him-" Wes's sentence was cut short when a ruffling noise gained there attention. The trio soon shot up to there feet, rifles were aimed straight at the noise.
"Ben, turn into SpiderMonkey. I think we'll need his enhanced senses for this." Max advised as Ben nodded and wasted no time in activating the Omnitrix and soon looking for the SpiderMonkey. Finding his choice of alien, he immediately slammed his hand onto the faceplate and was soon engulfed in an emerald light.
Ben felt like he was deevolving, he started growing blue fur all over his body. He blinked his eyes as he grew four extra eyes, his ears pointed out, and his teeth grew into fangs with a lone line running directly from his lower lip running downwards unto his chin. The bones in his two arms split into four arms with three fingers on each hand. A tail sprouted out from his butt. Fur covered his forearms, his body, his neck, and face, as two black circular bands were wrapped around all four arms. The Omnitrix badge appeared on his chest, "SPIDERMONKEY!" He screeched loudly.
Wes and Max held there rifles up and scanned the surrounding area. As soon as Ben had transformed into the Arachnichimp, his spider sense and his instincts were screaming danger. Max could see how tense his grandson was, "Ben? What are you getting from this?"
"I can't make heads or tails of this. My senses and instincts are telling me we're in danger." SpiderMonkey looked around for where the threat was being perceived enough to be setting off his spider sense and his instincts.
Then as the ringing in his head got even louder, a loud roar surprised them. The beast slashed at them knocking them backwards. Wes and Max were knocked off the cliff as SpiderMonkey got a good look at the beast.
"BEN!" Max shouted after being shoved off the cliff.
The beast had grey fur, a long flowing mane, and a bushy tail, with four sharp claws on each hand. One of them serves as the thumb, while the others serve as the fingers. They also have spiked elbows and shoulders. It had glaring purple eyes and a long snout.
SpiderMonkey soon shook himself of the trance he was in, before diving off the cliff after his grandpa and Wes. The Arachnichimp shot two strings up webbing catching both Wes and Max, before another soon shot and stuck itself to the cliffs edge. He placed them down safely before shooting one more string of webbing at the cliff and slingshotting himself back up where the Yenaldooshi was waiting.
SpiderMonkey cocked back two fists as he soared through the air and punched the Yenaldooshi back. He watched the beast stumble back from the attack, "I don't know who you are or what you want, but you won't be turning them if I can help it."
The Yenaldooshi dropped onto all fours and growled, it seemed less interested in Wes and Max and more into Ben. SpiderMonkey and the Yenaldooshi circled each other, before his spider sense blared to life. The Yenaldooshi soon pounced on the Arachnichimp, it brought it's sharp claws down ontop of him, which he caught in one arm, he soon brought it's other arm down onto him which he caught again. Seeing it's arms tied down the Yenaldooshi opened it's large maw and decided to tear him to pieces. SpiderMonkey had to move quick and catch his snout before it could sink it's fangs into him.
His two additional arms pushed the Yenaldooshi's maw upwards to avoid being bitten. SpiderMonkey gritted his teeth as he felt the Yenaldooshi start pushing through his grip. SpiderMonkey's tail sprung forward and grabbed the Yenaldooshi's foot, and pulled causing it to lose it's footing. Seeing his opening, SpiderMonkey didn't hesitate and punched it repeatedly in it's face. He placed his legs underneath it's chest and pushed it upwards. The Yenaldooshi soared through the air before slamming down onto the other side of the rocky mountain terrain.
SpiderMonkey felt his instincts kicking in as the Yenaldooshi snarled after nursing it's head. SpiderMonkey gritted his teeth and flung himself at the beast and dished out multiple strikes to the beasts face, but the Yenaldooshi grabbed him tightly and started squeezing the life out of him. SpiderMonkey yelled as it crushed him tighter and tighter, dropping his guard in the process.
With his guard down the Yenaldooshi realized it's opportunity. SpiderMonkey could feel his spider sense roaring like crazy, but he didn't realize where it was coming from. He thought it was just the bear hug the beast was giving him until he felt the Yenaldooshi's fangs sink into his left hip. SpiderMonkey roared in pain and soon felt adrenaline course his veins. Moving on instinct, the Arachnichimp bursted free from the Yenaldooshi's bear hug and didn't feel the need to pull his punches with this beast. He gave it everything he had and punched the beast back. He watched as the beast soared backwards, but he wasn't letting it get away and soon flung himself once again at it, and dished out powerful haymakers.
Wes and Max soon made it back up the cliff as SpiderMonkey was launched backwards. The Arachnichimp collided with the ground before flipping himself over and gripping the ground tightly to slow his descent speed as he snarled at the beast.
"BEN!" Max screamed gaining the two animals attention. The Yenaldooshi realizing it was outnumbered, roared before racing up into the mountains. As it escaped the trio heard it's howl as it ascended the mountain.
"It's getting away!" Wes yelled before chasing after it, but stopped when an emerald flash of light gained both the older men's attention.
Ben had dropped to his knees and collided face first into the ground, "BEN!" Max raced over to his grandson and felt he had a fever, his body temperature was through the roof, "He's burning up, we need to get him back to town!"
"Follow me!" Wes replied slinging the rifles over his shoulder as Max picked up his unconscious grandson. The two made haste and returned back to town.
Kai, Hope, and Gwen were sitting on the couch bored out of there minds. To Gwen and Hope it was awkward. Why? Because Hope likes Ben, but Ben's current attention wasn't on her it was on Kai. Kai on the other hand, felt bored and upset not being allowed to go on the monster hunt with her grandpa.
"It's so boring." Kai groaned as the two girls shrugged.
"We could play a game?" Gwen questioned as Kai just stared at her, "What?"
Kai shook her head, "It's nothing. You two know Ben, right?"
Gwen and Hope exchanged looks on not knowing where this conversation was going, "Yeah, I'm his cousin."
"And he's my best friend."
"Cool, so how many of those alien creatures can he turn into?"
"Um, sixteen?" Hope guessed looking over at Gwen.
Gwen soon counted on her fingers, "Yeah, sixteen."
Kai hummed in response, "Interesting."
"Why the sudden interest in Ben's aliens?" Gwen asked suspiciously.
"Because-" Before she could answer the front door was thrown open, gaining the three girls attention. They jumped to there feet as Wes and Max raced into the room with an unconscious Ben in his arms.
"Ben!" Gwen and Hope screamed as they raced towards Max.
"What happened to Ben?!" Hope screamed scared to lose him.
"The Yenaldooshi attacked us and Ben fought him off, next thing, I know Ben passed out." Max answers carrying him into the guest room and laying him down, "Wes, bring a bucket of water and a towel." Max screamed as Max started taking off Ben's favorite jacket.
Wes soon bolts into the room with the bucket and the towel. Max dunks the towel into the bucket rings it out and places it on his forehead. The group watched as Ben jolted and fidgetted in his sleep, groaning and roaring in pain.
"What's happening to him?" Kai asks sorta afraid of the answer.
"We don't know." Max replied sadly, "Hopefully, this'll bring his fever down."
"Come on, let's let him rest." Wes advised as everyone soon started making there way out the bedroom. Hope gazed at the boy in the bed before closing the door behind her.
Within Ben's dreams, all he could see is darkness, but that was soon interrupted when he caught a pair of striking purple eyes looking at him. Ben felt like he was a deer caught in a pair of headlights as the beast roared and soon attacked him. Ben tried activating the Omnitrix, but it wouldn't work. The beast soon pounced on him and sunk it's teeth into the boys waist. Ben roared in pain before the dream cut to him looking at himself in the mirror.
He was shirtless as he gazed at the flesh wound on his hip, teeth marks and dried blood leaking from the wound. He then gazed into his own eyes before seeing a pair of red eyes staring back at him. He had pointed ears, claws, fangs, and his skin was a darker shade of blue. He tried to scream, but his voice was cut silent as he watched his mirrorself undergo a drastic transformation. Ben backed up in fear as his mirrorself shredded his clothes and grew in size. He stood about eight feet in height, had a long flowing black mane, long snout, four fingered claws, a bushy tail, and a pair of crimson eyes which soon locked onto him. Ben felt his back hit the wall as the Yenaldooshi version of himself roared and pounced on him.
Ben soon bolted upright in the bed, he was laying in. Sweat streaming down his face, he felt himself hyperventilating as he gripped his chest and found his heart pounding against his ribcage. He gripped his shirt tightly before feeling his heart slowdown. He unconsciously felt the bite wound that the Yenaldooshi gave him. He grabbed the edges of his shirt and in a fluid motion pulled his shirt off. He gazed down to see the bite mark, he suffered from was gone, only traces of dried blood remained on his clothes and skin.
"So it wasn't a dream?" He said to himself, "I was really bitten by that thing. Does that mean, I'll also-" He soon gazed at the Omnitrix attached to his wrist. He spun the dial as the faceplate launched upwards as a hologram soon took it's place, "Seems this still works." He soon deactivated the watch before, a familiar scent filled his nostrils.
'What is that smell?' He looked around until voices filled his ears.
"Is Ben still asleep?" Gwen asked curious.
"Yeah, I checked on him a few minutes ago." Hope answered sadly.
"Cheer up, Hope. He'll be up soon." Gwen replied.
Ben thought he was loosing his mind as he cleaned his ears out, but he could still hear them. Clear as day. He looked around constantly as he started hearing multiple voices.
"Buy 1 get 1 free."
"You know, I heard alot of howling."
"Can't catch me!"
"That will be 9.99."
'What's happening to me?' Ben thought frantically. He rushed into the bathroom and gazed at himself in the mirror, nothing was out of place when he saw his reflection gazing back at him.
He turned on the sink and splashed some water on his face before looking at his reflection again this time, he didn't see himself, he saw a monster staring back at him. He yelled at the top of his lungs, tripping over his feet, trying to get away from the mirror. He soon heard various footsteps racing towards his room before hearing the door burst open.
He cowered in fear as Gwen, Hope, and Kai stood in the doorway of the bathroom.
"Ben, what's wrong? Are you okay?" Gwen asked as she knelt over her hyperventilating cousin who looked to be on the verge of a panic attack.
Hope and Gwen could see the fear in his eyes, his body was trembling as he pointed towards the mirror hanging over the sink, "The mirror?" Hope asked.
"I-I thought I sa-saw the be-beast." He stuttered before Gwen rubbed his arm trying to calm him down.
"There's nothing there, Ben. Are you sure you saw it?" Kai asked suspiciously.
Ben gazed at his hands which wouldn't stop shaking no matter how hard he tried to calm down, "I'm sure."
"Ben, maybe you need more rest. Come on, we'll place you back in your bed and bring you some food." Hope said as Ben nodded. Gwen and Hope lifted the alien hero over to his bed where they sat him down.
"Rest, Ben. We'll let, grandpa know you've woken up." Gwen smiled softly. The brunette said nothing before laying down in the soft comforter.
"Where is grandpa?" He asked.
"My grandpa had the opening of his museum today and ask your grandpa to join him, but we decided to stick around and keep an eye on you." Kai explained as Ben nodded, he sighed as he turned over onto his side facing the wall.
"I'll be okay, guys." He replied before hearing the departing footsteps of the three girls. Ben sighed before looking at his hand, "I know what I saw. It couldn't have been a hallucination."
Kai, Gwen, and Hope left Ben's room closing the door behind them, "Is he okay?" Kai asked a bit concerned on Ben's condition.
"I don't know, I've never seen him so afraid like that." Hope answered.
"Whatever the Yenaldooshi did to him is affecting his mental health." Gwen replied as she crossed her arms over her chest.
"You don't think he might have been bitten, right?" Kai asked incredulously.
"It would make sense on why he's so shaken up, but we can't get any answers until he's ready to talk about it." Gwen answers, but she wasn't ready to throw that question out yet.
"We should go find grandpa and Wes. Maybe they know what's going on with Ben." Hope suggested as Kai and Gwen nodded.
"Will Ben be okay by himself?" Kai asked as the girls gazed at the door where the teenager was sleeping in.
"I hope so." Gwen said as they all left the house.
Gwen, Hope, and Kai raced through the streets towards the museum. They gazed at the setting sun, in the horizon. They soon caught a glimpse of Max and Wes standing in front of the museum talking about last nights attack.
"Grandpa!" The three girls called out gaining both there attentions.
"Girls, is something wrong?" Max asked anxiously knowing that all three of them came means something must be wrong or something happened while they were gone.
"After you left for the grand opening, Ben slept half the day away only to wake up ten minutes ago." Kai started.
"We heard him yell, and by time we got to him. He was trembling in fear and huddled over by the bathtub." Hope answered.
"And he pointed to the mirror and said he thought he saw the wolf. Grandpa, Wes, what happened up there that has Ben scared out of his mind." Gwen questions the two older men.
"Like we said, by time we got to him, the fight was already over." Max answered as the blood moon drew high into the sky, Max's eyes widened in fear before looking over to Wes, "You don't think-"
"He was bitten by the Yenaldooshi." Wes finished fear also evident in his eyes, "We need to get back to the house, quickly!" Wes yelled. Soon the group were rushing back to Wes's house.
Ben layed in the bed, his dreams were plagued with nothing, but the attack from the Yenaldooshi. Claws slashing at him, fangs tearing into and ripping out his flesh. He gripped the sheets tightly as sweat poured from every pore on his body. As the blood moon drew into the sky and shined it's ethereal light into his room. The boy's body stopped moving completely. All the noise in the house ceased, until the grandfather clock in the living room went off signalling it was 8:00 pm. The ringing played throughout the house.
When suddenly Ben's eyes flew open, but they didn't reveal his emeald irises, no they resembled the moon. Crimson in color. Ben gripped his head tightly as the Yenaldooshi curse suddenly started cursing throughout his body. He roared in pain as he rolled around on the bed, he soon rolled off the bed and gripped the wooden floorboards. Claws marks were left in the wake of his attempts of grabbing the wooden slabs. A low growl rumbled from his throat as his teeth sharpened themselves to fangs. His pale skin grew paler before turning a different shade all together.
His brunette hair grew longer while darkening till the point where his hair was black all the way to the roots. Ben's body soon started growing as fur grew from all over his body. The Omnitrix on his wrist turned yellow before disappearing from his wrist. His pants were torn to shreds as he grew. His ears pointed out, his nose and mouth grew outwards to a long snout. A long bushy tail sprung out from the small part of his back. A long spike grew from his elbow and shoulder. As the transformation drew to an end, the beast howled in the air for everyone to hear.
It dropped onto all fours and raced towards the window, shattering it upon impact. The newest Yenaldooshi's senses were going haywire there was so much going through it's head, but one thing passed through his brain, 'Kill them.' After receiving it's directive the Yenaldooshi was off.
By time the Tennyson's and the Green's returned they immediately headed for Ben's room. Max kicked the door open before finding the bed, a complete mess. The floors had claw marks on them, the lamp was broken on the floor, and the window was shattered with glass litering the floor.
"We're too late." Wes remarks.
"What do you mean? We have to find him!" Gwen yelled.
"Gwen's right, we need to find him quickly, before he hurts someone." Max answers.
"It's not that easy, if Ben has completely transformed into a Yenaldooshi, we have no hopes of beating him unless we find Árbol del Matrimonio cactus and destroy the Yenaldooshi, freeing Ben from it's curse." Wes replies, but the group looks at each other.
"Where are we supposed to find this cactus?" Hope asks.
"Give me a few minutes, I'll be able to find it." Gwen states before rushing out to grab her computer.
"What do we do in the meantime?" Kai asks.
"We go look for Ben and detain him until Gwen can find the location on the cactus." Wes states as the group nods firmly.
Benwolf lands on an empty roof, his enhanced hearing and smell had led him here. He gazes down into an alley to see a man stumbling around as he rambles to himself.
"This...*hic*...ill...bread...town...pla...*hic*...gued...by...some...*hic*...monster." He rambled as he dropped his bottle, watching it shatter into pieces, "Damnit." He stumbled deeper into the alley hopping this was a shortcut home.
Benwolf could hear the voice inside his head, 'Slaughter him.' The newly created Yenaldooshi leaped into the alley ontop of the unsuspecting drunkard. Benwolf slashed him in the back as crimson liquid splattered on his claws, the ground, and soon stained his shirt.
The drunkard roared in pain before looking up at his assailant, but his voice soon died in his throat when he caught a pair of crimson red eyes glaring menacingly at him. He watched a pink tongue escape the beasts maw and lick its claws clean. The drunkard hobbled backwards, blood streaming down his back onto the cobble stone floor.
"Plea-plea *hic*-se...don*hic* don't...kill...me." He begged, but it fell on deaf ears as Benwolf pounced on him, the drunkard roared in pain as the Yenaldooshi tore into his chest. He clawed the skin from his stomach out revealing the contents inside, blood splattered everywhere. The drunkard tried hitting Benwolf, but it only seemed to aggravate him more. He grabbed his right arm and sunk his fangs into it tightly eliciting a scream of pain from him as the Yenaldooshi tore the limb from his body.
Benwolf reveled in the blood and screams as he feasted on the drunkards innards. The man had stopped screaming a while ago after watching the beast tear him apart. Not feeling quite satisfied with tonight's prey, Benwolf howled into the night sky loudly before leaping high into the air and landed onto the building, scouring it quickly before trying to locate its next prey. Which didn't take long with it's enhanced hearing. Benwolf was off, he scoured the rooftops in search of his next meal. When he heard the sounds of multiple prey in one place.
He peered over the building to find a herd of sheep, the Yenaldooshi licked it's lips in anticipation before a voice echoed into his head, 'Devour them.' Benwolf snarled gaining the herds attention. The sheep cowered in fear as the predator leaped from the building into the sheep pen.
Benwolf didn't hesitate to pounce on them as the sheep howled in fear as it's coharts were devoured before there very eyes. The Yenaldooshi tore through the sheep like paper, slaughtering all of them. But before he could continue, his ears twitched. The beast soon heard the wind around him whistling a high tune. He whipped his head around quickly before his large hands caught a large dart inches from his face.
The beast gazed at the dart, before picking up the sound a second time. As fast as the eye could see, Benwolf's hand was inches from his left eye with another dart aimed for it. A kilometer away, the sniper went wide eyed as Benwolf locked gazes with him. Snarling in anger the beast took off on all fours heading straight for them. The sniper paled when it saw the beast heading for him, he immediately started backing up before tapping his ear piece.
"Sir, my location's been compromised! I repeat, I've been compromised. He's heading for me!" The sniper alerted his superior within his ear piece.
Benwolf soon scaled the building, the sniper quickly grabbed a gun off the side of his hip before pointing it at the beast. The beast snarled menacingly as it drew closer to the sniper.
"I-I don-don't understand wh-what he s-sees in yo-you." The sniper stuttered out as he kept the gun within the beasts line of sight. The Yenaldooshi raised his large clawed hand and prepared to end the man's life before a purple mana shield engulfed the beast.
"BEN! STOP!" Hope screamed. Seeing his opportunity the sniper leaped from the small building to avoid being seen. The beast whipped his head around to find Gwen, Wes, Kai, Max, and Hope floating on a mana generated platform.
The beast roared before slamming his hands onto the shield, as the group drew closer to him, "Th-that's B-Ben?" Kai asked in slight fear as the Yenaldooshi snarled.
"Seems like it, now that we have the cactus, we should be able to free him from his curse." Wes answered as Gwen held up a small green plant.
"How do we give it to him?" Max asked.
"We don't give it to him, we give it to the one who bit him. Once we destroy his maker, he'll be free of the curse." Wes replied as he gazed at Benwolf who started slamming his hands against the shield attempting to break it.
"That can hold him, right?" Kai asked Hope.
"Yeah, but how are we gonna find the Yenaldooshi who bit him?" Hope asked curiously.
"Ben, should be able to lead us to him." Gwen spoke up as Hope and Kai gave her quizzical looks, "If Ben was bitten then he's apart of that Yenaldooshi's pack meaning Ben should be able to lead us to him."
"That's a good idea, Gwen, but I don't think Ben's in his right state of mind to guide us anywhere." Max stated as they gazed at the mindless beast pounding away at the mana shield.
"I have a place we can take Ben for the moment, right now he's too dangerous. We need to wait for the sun to come up." Wes said, but before anyone could comment in the distance a distinct noise filled the ears of everyone present.
A loud wolf howl echoed into the small town, gaining everyone's attention. The group exchanged looks knowing this wasn't good especially when another closeby howl answered it's call. The group whipped there heads around to see Benwolf howling into the night sky.
"What is he doing?!" Wes stepped back gripping his rifle tightly.
"When a wolf howls it's sending out a signal." Gwen began.
"A signal to who?" Kai asked as they begun stepping back from the mana bubble.
"The rest of it's pack." Max answered. When the howl stopped Benwolf soon set his sights on them as his muzzle split open into four directions, each part of his muzzle had one large fang on them. The group went wide eyed at this sudden display.
"What the hell-" Gwen stated before a red ultrasonic howl blasted outwards shattering the mana shield. The Yenaldooshi's ultrasonic howl hit the group sending them flying backwards.
When suddenly; the Yenaldooshi's howl erupted into the sky again gaining Benwolf's attention. The large wolf leaped off the building before racing into the streets and into the darkness after the previous Yenaldooshi's call.
By time the sun came up, Ben was lying inside a cave, naked, and drenched in blood. The boy groaned in pain before sitting up and feeling a cool breeze pass through his body. He shivered before realization started setting in, "Where am I? Why am I naked? And what's that smell?" He looked at himself to find blood splattered all over him, next to rows of dead animal carcasses.
Ben nearly hurled when he saw the defiled corpses, "What the hell happened? Did I do this?" He gazed around before finding the entrance to the cave and the suns rays shining through. The alien hero jumped to his feet, while covering his face from the blinding lights to find himself ontop of the mountain, the Yenaldooshi first attacked him on.
He gazed around in wonder before finding a giant machine nearly half completed, "What is that?" Ben asked as he walked over to it. The machine looked to have a giant antenna at the top ready to transmit something, "The Yenaldooshi is building something, but where is it?" He looked around and found no sight of the beast.
He squinted his eyes in caution, using his newest enhanced hearing and smell to pick up the beasts heartbeat or scent, but came up empty, "Wherever it went, it'll be back. Gotta let grandpa and them know." He soon shivered again, as he gazed down at his bare body, "Right after, i find some clothes." Until he caught sight of the watch attached to his wrist, "Who needs clothes when I've got an alien body to jump into!" He smirked as he lifted up his wrist.
He spun the dial, all the way around when a warbling noise filled his ears, "No, no, no! I need an alien, pronto! I can't be naked!" He spun the dial around again, but the warbling noise was all he got in return, "Perfect. Stuck at the top of a mountain, naked, and drenched in blood. And now the Omnitrix chooses now to not work. Just perfect." Ben sighed in annoyance before he begun his descent down the mountain.
Back at the Green's house, Hope was attempting to track Ben. Wes had integrated the cactus into a silver bullet ment for the Yenaldooshi, Kai was nervous, a guy she had just met was bitten by a monster and now was nowhere to be found, scared her. She'd had heard the legends of the Yenaldooshi, but she's never seen it in person before. Gwen and Max were pacing the room in anticipation and nervousness, they were both worried about Ben. After attacking them, he soon bolted and hadn't returned.
"Hope, any luck?" Max asked anxiety kicking in.
"You've asked me that twenty times in the last ten minutes and my answer remains the same. I haven't found him." Hope remarked as her eyes tighten trying to concentrate on locating the alien hero.
"Where could he have gone, that not even Hope can sense him?" Gwen asked sadly, she missed her cousin and would do anything to help him.
"It must be the Yenaldooshi's doing. Hopefully Ben'll be okay." Wes replied as Hope jumped to her feet.
"What's up, Hope?" Kai asked at Hope's actions.
"He's here!"
The front door soon opened with a bloodied, Ben Tennyson, who wore a old battered jacket tied around his waist and the flaps pulled up and tucked into the knot, wearing the jacket like a diaper, "You would not believe what happened to me."
"BEN!" The trio tackled the half naked boy to the ground hugging him tightly.
"Guys, I know you guys have alot of questions and believe me, I do too, but we have bigger problems to worry about." Ben stated as they released there grip on him.
"What'd you'd find?" Max stated concerned for the boy's findings.
"The Yenaldooshi is building some kind of transmitter on the mountain and it's almost complete." Ben answered.
"A transmitter?" Gwen asked quizzically.
Max turned his gaze to Wes, "Are you sure we're dealing with an Yenaldooshi?"
"I'm sure, I have no idea what it could be building, but we must hurry and vanquish it."
"In your legends, were Yenaldooshi's able to open there mouths into four parts and howl sonic vibrations at people?" Gwen also stated curious on how a werewolf was able to pull off something impossible.
"Wait, I turned into one of them, didn't I?" Ben asked as they avoided his look of apprehension, "Did I attack anyone?" He knew the answer was pretty stupid considering he was covered in blood.
"Ben, it's not your fault. Go shower and we'll reconvene when you get out. Plan our strategy against the Yenaldooshi." Max said, but the downtrodden look on his face said enough. Ben didn't meet anyone's eye before walking off too the bathroom to rinse himself of last night's attack.
"You don't think he might have attacked anyone before we found him, did he?" Hope asked concerned for Ben's mentality.
"We don't know, Hope, hopefully it was just some animals he came across." Max answered skeptically.
"But, there was a man on that rooftop last night! He had a gun pointed at Ben." Kai exclaimed remembering the masked man before he vanished after they appeared.
"Now that you mention it, there was someone there. If we hadn't stepped in that man would have been Ben's first kill." Gwen said.
"We might have prevented something then, now onto this transmitter, Ben told us about. We need to move quickly before he shifts again." Max answered firmly.
"Max's right, we should be able to get to the mountain before the blood moon rises. We'll take Max's RV, have Ben locate the transmitter." Wes begun before Kai picked up on his idea.
"If Ben finds the transmitter, we'll find the Yenaldooshi." Kai answered.
"Exactly, we'll be killing two birds with one stone. When the Yenaldooshi is dead, your grandson will be free of his curse." Wes replied placing his arms onto Max's shoulders.
"Alright, we'll move before the sun sets giving us time to prepare. Let's put an end to this monster hunt." Max stated firmly as everyone nodded with him.
Ben wasn't an idiot, he could hear there voices even through the shower head. He knew deep down in his heart, he must have hurt someone. What if he hurt, grandpa, Gwen, or Hope. He didn't know he could live with himself, he looked at the device attached to his wrist, it still wasn't working.
"I have to figure out how to gain control before, I hurt someone else." Ben stated as he stood under the hot water, rinsing the dirt and blood off of his body.
After finally cleaning himself off, he grabbed a towel and made his way to the bedroom where he saw some clothes lying on the bed for him. A note next to his clothes. He walked over picked up and read it, 'For you, -H.' He smiled before quickly getting dressed.
He walked out the bedroom to see everyone ready, "You okay, Ben?" Max asked him.
"Yeah, we ready to go?"
The group nodded before leading themselves out the house where Hope stopped him, "Ben are you sure you'll be okay?"
"I will, this hasn't been a pretty shitty few days. But the faster we destroy him, everyone will be free from him." Ben reaffirmed as Hope nodded and the duo made there way outside to the parked RV.
Max took the drivers seat, Wes took the passenger seat, leaving the four teenagers inside the booth. It was insanely tense considering that one of them was a werewolf and only had a few more hours till the blood moon rose. No one said a word till they made it to the desert.
Ben reached into his jacket pocket, before he and Hope left the house, he snuck into Wes's gun cabinet and placed the gun on the table shocking the three females.
"Ben, what the hell is that for?!" Gwen stated in fear, but the alien hero ignored her. He reached into his other pocket and placed silver bullets into the chamber. With the gun now ready he slid it over to Gwen.
"If this doesn't work, and I lose myself to him." He begun and felt a lump in his throat as tears pricked his eyes, "I want you to put me down."
"Ben, don't ask me to do this." Gwen shook her head repeatedly, "I can't."
"You will. If I hurt you, or Grandpa, or Hope, or Wes, or Kai, I need you to do it. Please." He begged, Hope and Kai were silent during the whole exchange. Hope on the verge of tears, while Kai was stunned into silence.
Gwen's hands were shaking as she reached over and picked up the gun. She gazed at the weapon before looking at her cousin who didn't even seem to be afraid considering he's had plently of near death experiences. Gwen closed her eyes before nodding solemnly, "I'll do it."
Ben nodded firmly before he felt a hand placed over his, he looked over to find Hope's hand laying there. She layed her head onto his shoulder, Ben didn't say anything as he could see the mountain up ahead. The RV stopped before the large terrain and everyone got out.
"Ben, where did you see the transmitter?" Wes asked curiously.
Ben pointed up the mountain, "At the top. We better get moving before the moon rises." The group nodded before they all started climbing up the mountain.
It had been atleast two hours after finally making it to the top, Ben saw the cave he woke up inside and the Yenaldooshi, was building the transmitter it looked to be almost functional, "Look he's right there with the transmitter."
"Why would the Yenaldooshi need a transmitter?" Kai asked suddenly.
"Better question is who is it transmitting too?" Max stated as the Yenaldooshi connected two loose wire together.
"We need to stop him before he finishes it." Ben replied.
"Ben, is the Omnitrix working?" Gwen gazed over to her cousin who shook his head no.
"Seems to be unresponsive at the moment, we're on our own. Until the moon rises, in the next half hour." He gazed over to see the large red planet on the horizon.
"We'll see what we can do." Max replied as he grabbed his rifle off his back and cocked the weapon before pointing it at the Yenaldooshi's back. The Yenaldooshi's ears twitched as his head whipped around, his purple eyes landing on them.
"Shoot him!" Ben yelled as Max fired, but the Yenaldooshi leaped onto the mountains peak before Max fired again, the Yenaldooshi dodged it again and started heading towards them where Hope threw up a shield pushing the beast back.
Wes soon aimed his rifle at the beast, the bullet inside the chamber had the cactus juice riddle around the bullet. While Max, Hope, and Gwen kept it distracted, he aimed for it's leg where he fired. The Yenaldooshi felt pain erupt into it's body as it gazed down at it's leg to see a bullet wound inside. It soon set his sights on the stunned Wes Green before its muzzle opened into four parts like Ben's did last night.
"Impossible." Wes stated shocked the bullet or cactus didn't work. The 'Yenaldooshi' sent out a ultrasonic howl which collided with Wes knocking him into the mountains rocky terrain.
"It didn't work." Kai yelled to the group.
"Meaning we aren't dealing with a Yenaldooshi at all." Max grunted in annoyance.
"So what is it?" Gwen asked as she and Hope shielded them from it's next howl.
"No idea." Max answered.
"But it bit Ben, what could it mean?" Hope answered next, but Ben wasn't paying any attention to the conversation as the moon rose into the night sky. He grabbed the hem of his favorite jacket before pushing it off his shoulders.
"Ben?" Kai asked as she had been sitting closer to the alien hero.
Ben said nothing as he gripped his head in pain. Kai, Max, and Gwen backed up, but Hope placed a hand onto him, "Ben?" Ben gritted his teeth as the 'Yenaldooshi' curse flooded his veins. He looked up at Hope, his iries completely crimsoned.
"Hope-" His voice went down octave as a growl rumbled inside his throat, "Run."
He yelled as his hands and feet turned into claws, his ears pointed out. His pale skin started growing paler as his body started growing in size. His hair went from brunette to black as it grew into a luscious mane going down his back. He shredded his clothes into pieces as a bushy tail sprouted from the small part of his back. The Omnitrix's faceplate turned yellow once again as it disappeared from his wrist, when grey fur coated his entire body, a long spike grew from his shoulder and elbows. His mouth and nose grew out to a long snout as his pointed out ears popped out ontop of his head. Benwolf howled loudly into the air as the transformation ended.
Benwolf soon turned his gaze onto the trembling sorceress, 'Kill her.' He heard the voice mutter inside his head. Benwolf growled lowly as he dropped onto all fours and advanced onto Hope.
"Ben, don't. It's me, Hope. You need to fight whatever is controlling you." Hope tried to encourage him to break free of the Yenaldooshi's hold over him.
Gwen was trying to keep the Yenaldooshi from harming herself, Kai, and Max, when she noticed Ben approaching Hope, 'Come on, Ben, fight it!' She yelled as she pushed the Yenaldooshi backwards.
"Ben, you would never harm me. Look at me." Hope tried to convey her feelings to him, "You know who I am." She soon tripped as Benwolf pounced ontop of her with his clawed hand raised, "Ben, you have to fight. Your not as weak as you think you are. Regain control don't let the monster win. Please." Hope felt herself hyperventilating as she gazed into his crimson red eyes.
Benwolf gazed at Hope, his features softening as he could see the fear wafting off her in waves, 'What are you hesitating for? KILL HER!' The voice yelled within his mind.
'She's right. I'd never harm her or my family.' Ben yelled as the beast gripped his head in pain. The Yenaldooshi stopped and gazed at his brother who looked to be battling his inner beast. He snarled before tackling him to the ground.
The Yenaldooshi grabbed hold of Benwolf and threw him into the mountains wall, "BEN!" Max, Hope, and Gwen yelled as the Yenaldooshi glared at them. He opened his muzzle again, but before a sonic howl could be heard the beast was tackled to the ground.
The Yenaldooshi and the newest creature rolled around against the ground before he was thrown aside. The new creature stood up and howled loudly into the sky where the group got a look at him. He looked just like the Yenaldooshi, but drastically different. He had black fur, blazing emerald eyes, a green and black sleeveless jumpsuit, the spike on his shoulder was emerald green, he had black and green wristbands attached to both forearms, the color of his ears went from red to green, and there was a familiar black and green badge attached to his right pectoral, "Pick on someone your own size you mangy mutt." His voice cut through the air as he growled at the recovering Yenaldooshi.
"Ben? Is that you?" Gwen asked shocked on the sudden transformation.
"Who else would I be? Seems the Yenaldooshi isn't a beast, but an alien. And the Omnitrix almost picked the wrong time to go into stasis mode." Benwolf remarked dryly as he gazed at his family, "Thank you, Hope for believing in me."
"It's no problem, now let's tear this mutt to pieces." Hope declared as Benwolf grinned wildly revealing his fanged teeth in glee.
"Grandpa, you and Kai deal with the transmitter. Gwen, Hope, and I will take on the alien wolf."
"On it." Max nodded before him and Kai raced over to the transmitter.
The 'Yenaldooshi' snarled in anger as Benwolf, Hope, and Gwen blocked his way, "Why not play with us?" Benwolf grinned as he and the beast collided head on.
Benwolf punched the beast in the face before Gwen leapt off the ground roundhouse kicking him. The 'Yenaldooshi' punched Benwolf away, as he was soon blasted in his back by Hope, who summoned a large cobra. She sent the magical cobra corraling at the beast who was swept away. The beast growled before Benwolf opened his quad-hinged muzzle and an emerald sonic howl erupted from him. The beast was blown backwards before Hope and Gwen called down a giant thunderstorm, and soon blasted the beast away.
After the thunderstorm, the 'Yenaldooshi' was gone. Benwolf, Hope, and Gwen walked over to see not a trace of him, "Where'd he go?" Benwolf asked.
"Hopefully, he was vaporized by that attack." Gwen remarks before gazing at her cousins newest look.
"What?" Benwolf asked.
"You just look different compared to five minutes ago." Gwen laughed as she took out the gun he gave her before this all started, "Guess we don't need this anymore."
"We should probably return it back to Wes." Hope inquired.
Benwolf and Gwen gazed at each other and both grinned, "Nah!"
"Besides we weren't even dealing with a 'Yenaldooshi' it was an alien werewolf." Benwolf remarked. Gwen soon tossed the gun off the mountain as the trio watched it fall into the desert terrain.
Max and Kai soon walked over, "Transmitter destroyed. What happened to the wolf?"
"Hopefully, vaporized." Gwen answered.
Max then turned his attention to Benwolf, "Wanna clue me in on why you look so different?"
"The beast we were dealing with was an alien, and it took alot of will to take control from the animalistic side. I guess while I was still figuring out control the Omnitrix entered, a sorta stasis mode till I won back control and once I did, the Omnitrix recognized it as an alien and changed the look." Benwolf explained as Max nodded in fascination.
"What are you gonna call him?" Max asked.
Benwolf gazed at himself, "I'm open for suggestions."
"Benwolf." Gwen suggested.
"That's just my name and wolf at the end of it. Yeah, not happening."
"Blitzwolfer!" Kai opted for a name.
"No."
"Silverfang." Hope also threw out a suggestion.
"Close, but no."
"It's gotta sound cool, but also intimidating." Benwolf replied, before a name hit him hard, "Fenroar."
"Fenroar?" Gwen replied skeptically.
"Yeah, like Fenrir, the fearsome wolf from Norse mythology. Only, I changed it. Meet the dubbed: FENROAR!" He howled loudly into the sky.
"It's a good name, Ben." Max smiled as Fenroar nodded.
"Alright, let's get outta here." Gwen replied as Fenroar walked past them and scooped up the unconscious Wes Green.
"Right behind you."
After the battle was finally over, with Ben finally gainning control over the beast within himself and gainning a new alien in the process it was finally time to say goodbye to the Greens.
"Max, I'm sorry, about everything. If you ever need something, I'm there." Wes apologized as he shook hands with the older Tennyson.
"You have nothing to be sorry about. We figured it all out. And I'll hold you to that." Max smiled shaking his hand firmly.
"Ben, Gwen, Hope, it was nice meeting you and your welcome here anytime." Wes gazed at the three teenagers who nodded happily.
"Hey Kai, before I go, I'm sorry about the whole wolf thing." Ben replied as he avoided eye contact with the Navajo girl.
"Ben, don't worry, aside from you trying to kill us-" She laughed as he jolted, "This has been rather fun. In a scary movie kind of way."
"Speaking of movies, would you be interested in going to one with me?" Ben offered his cheeks turning pink. Kai was about to say something when she gazed over to a dejected Hope and a solemn Gwen cheering her up.
"Ben, I'm sorry, but I can't. Besides you have other priorities and another girl who'd be happy to go. Maybe in another universe, I'd have said yes, but not this one." She smiled sadly, before kissing his cheek and standing next to her grandfather.
Ben looked over to Hope and smiled softly, 'Here I was, flirting with another girl when the one I've wanted was here all along.' He soon walked over to Hope and hugged her tightly, "I'm sorry."
Hope reveled in the embrace, "Don't be." She muttered as the two walked into the RV, hand in hand. Gwen and Max following closely behind. Wes and Kai waved goodbye to the quartet as they left for there next big adventure.
"Sir, it appears Tennyson has won control over the beast." A woman, with brunette hair in a tight bun said. She looked to be in her middle to late 30's, she was wearing a black one piece uniform, with a utility belt, and a patch with an eagle on it.
"Good, alert Agent Woo, on the development and tell him and his team to stand down." The man answered as he gazed at the multiple moniters infront of him. Showing Ben, in his Yenaldooshi form, with Max Tennyson, Gwen Tennyson, Charmcaster, Wes Green, and Kai Green.
"Sir, are you sure we shouldn't send Woo and the Agents of Atlas, I'm sure he'd fit right in onto there team." The woman replied skeptically on why he took such an interest in the sixteen year old.
"Hill, the Atlas team isn't where he's going and we both know it. It's time to reform the Avengers." The man stated firmly.
"But sir, he's just a kid with a fancy watch. You can't seriously think, he's Avengers material." The woman known as Hill stated.
The man turned around revealing his aged features. He was African American, bald, looked to be in his late 50's early 60's, with an black eyepatch around left eye, with three scratch marks covering it up. His black beard had streaks of grey in it. He wore black shirt, black pants, a long black cloak, and black boots. He had a stern look on his face as he turned to his Sub-Director, "He might just be a kid with a fancy watch, but he's Avengers material for sure. I know it and Strange knows it."
"Strange? Dr. Strange? The kid met him?" Maria Hill stated shocked as the man nodded with a smirk on his face.
"Indeed, it's about time, I recruit Tennyson and his family into SHIELD." The man said as he turned back to the moniter.
"You can't be serious, Sir!"
"I'm dead serious, Hill." He reaffirmed.
Hill was stunned into silence, before shaking her head repeatedly, "So what does this mean for us and them?"
"More work." He replied curtly, "Once he meets the rest of our roster." He soon gazed over to the screen showing three distinct faces, shocking Maria even further.
"Director Fury, you're insane if you think those three are gonna join this team you're putting together." Maria stated in a matter of factly tone.
"I'm not putting it together, Tennyson is. And we're running out of time, Hydra's on the move and we need to start moving aswell or else thing won't be like how Strange predicted." The man now known as Nicholas Fury stated.
Maria Hill sighed in annoyance before she saw the three faces on the screen then turned to Ben's face and the two beside him, "What's our first move then?"
"Locate the Null Void projector, that's our first move." Fury answered before he shut the moniters off, "It's about time, I meet with Ben Tennyson, personally."
"Yes sir." Hill soon left, her bosses office to inform Woo and his team to stand down and to start locating the Null Void Projector.
To Be Continued...
A/N: Hey everyone, it's answer time. To every question that fillled your head throughout the story. First, where did the Omnitrix go once Ben shifted? Easy, it was within his mind like he said it entered a stasis mode while Ben attempted to regain control. It was in its collect/scan mode so yeah it already took the DNA it was more of a mental battle. There was supposed to be alot more gore and more of Benwolf in his Loban form, but decided against it since I'd be dragging the chapter out. Another thing, the whole premise of Ben's transformation was incredibly different because again it's a more uptake on a mature Ben Tennyson and what would occur incase he lost control of Blitzwolfer the first time. Instead of a slow transformation, I made it long and quick with him attacking things and the animal side of the transformation talking within him. Believe me it's confusing, but you'll understand once you read it. Now onto Ben regaining control, i changed Benwolf's appearance, his original look is from the classic's then when he regains control i changed it to my own design. Originally i was gonna have Hope confess during her speech, but No not yet, I need to introduce one more person in order for Ben and Hope to finally seal the deal. Now the post credit scene, we have Hill and Fury talking about there Avengers team, Ben's a primary candidate, but who's the other five? Stick around and find out in the Avengers chapter which will be Season 5: Episode 10 aka chapter 51. Leave your comments and I'll get to them in the next chapter, Later people.
