Percy Jackson
"Go back and get the others. I will buy us some time," Percy hissed at Lisa.
Fortunately, for once, Lisa accepted his superior male authority. "I'll be right back," she hissed. "Be careful." A moment later, she was off, leaving Percy to face the dozen or so centaurs alone.
A wave of restlessness rippled across the group of centaurs. Percy guessed they would indulge in whatever satisfaction they had planned with Khione right then and there or grab her and leave. Percy knew catching up with monsters that could shadow travel was going to be a headache. He couldn't wait any longer.
Percy rose from his contemplations when the centaurs laughed, evidently amused at something the large muscular one in charge had said. He had to grant the goddess something. Then Percy realized one of the leader's friends had begun to yank at Khione's dress. She fought them hard, kicking at her tormentor's shredded chest. "What happened to your powers, goddess? Not in the mood to turn anyone into snowmen today, are you?" one of the centaurs roared, his voice a deep baritone.
Piece of work or not, Khione neither deserved the humiliation nor the implied rape, so he casually rounded the corner and stepped fully into the warehouse.
His appearance was very much met with mixed reactions. Surprise, amusement, anger, and even disbelief from the side of the centaurs. Khione, on the other hand, looked downright relieved at his appearance. Considering that she was supposed to be his prisoner, that said something.
"Who are you?" the centaur demanded.
Percy ignored him. "You have something of mine," he mused, buying some time.
"Hey, she turned mine on one too. It happens. I still need the goddess, though. She is mine. So why don't you put Elsa here down, and we won't have any problems."
On the bright side, Khione was dropped into a spluttering and gasping heap. On the downside, the entire group of centaurs now turned their entire attention to him, pulling out hefty clubs and short bronze swords.
"Or we cut you up first and then deal with the little goddess, I reckon," another centaur suggested, and the others nodded in approval.
"Very well," Percy replied, hoping that Lisa would hurry up. He very much doubted that they could kill him. Regardless, being run through didn't seem like an overly enjoyable experience.
Finally, Percy sensed it. Maybe ten tonnes of water, not far off to his left. Percy guessed somewhere in an old tank.
The goddess forgot the dozen or centaurs began to close on him. Percy noted how large and muscular the beasts were and the insanity burning in their eyes with some apprehension.
They grinned right up until they were hit by a torrent of water smashing into them with explosive force. Flailing centaurs and one goddess were knocked off their feet by a wave of warm, rancid water. Before any of them had recovered, Percy charged.
Two centaurs died before they gathered their wits. For savages, the centaurs recovered remarkably quickly, and Percy soon found himself locked in a furious duel with two of them. Percy had to grant them that they were fast and powerful, and their lower bodies gave them unique advantages. At one point, Percy even nearly had his head kicked in by one of the centaurs.
Percy severed the first one's front legs and dispatched it with a follow-up strike to the torso. They were good, but Percy was better. He ducked under horny horse number two's club and stabbed upwards through the centaur's ribcage. This one, too, burst into a cloud of shadows and dust. He almost lost his head a moment later to a sword but ducked in time.
Realizing that things were not going his way, Percy willed the water he had just spilled all over the warehouse to rise. It did in a dirty brown and gray funnel cloud. Quickly the cloud began to spin around him until it reached gale forces. The spray of water was so thick that one could hardly see more than a few feet. Struggling to even stay on their hooves, the centaurs were barely a match for him, and they died quickly.
Finally, Percy found himself face-to-face with the leader. He had somehow recovered Khione, holding her high in the air by her throat. Khione was screaming feebly, but with her wrists chained behind her back, she could do little.
"If I can't have her, you won't either!" the centaur roared at Percy, his voice somehow audible over the typhoon around them.
Just as it looked like Khione might get cut, ozone filled the storm, and Percy's hair stood on end. Lightning burst down from the funnel clouds, almost blinding him and popping his eardrums.
The centaur froze for a long moment before finally toppling over. He evaporated before touching the ground. Khione, on the other hand, dropped to the ground like a wet sack.
As the battle ended, the storm faded. More than two thousand gallons of water seemingly remembered that gravity applied and simply fell down with a thundering roar, leaving him perfectly dry and one spluttering and dripping wet goddess roughly resembling a drowned cat in the center of the former storm.
"Sorry for cutting in there," the very familiar voice of Jason greeted him. Percy turned around and found his compatriots standing behind him, grinning. "It was a pretty epic show, though."
"Is everyone all right?" Percy asked.
"I got a scratch!" Melissa announced proudly and showed off a bleeding wound on her arm.
"Good for you!" Percy replied brightly before turning his attention back to the goddess who had sat up on her knees and was trying to push her long, now quite knotted hair out of her face. It looked quite sexy, to be honest.
When she noticed him approaching, she looked up at him nervously.
"You're not having a very good day, are you?" Percy asked.
Still panting, Khione glared up at him but chose to stay quiet, perhaps because she still had the duct tape covering her mouth. Then Percy grabbed Khione by the arm and pulled her to her feet.
Her skin was still pleasantly cool, though, and as she rose, Percy noticed that Khione's dress, in its waterlogged state, was a lot more transparent. It was fairly obvious that she wasn't wearing undergarments, and the body it showed off was as spectacular as one might have imagined.
Without asking for permission or offering any warning, Percy threw the goddess over his shoulder and walked back towards his friends, well aware of the side of Khione's quite tempting ass pressing against his cheek.
"I think you have done enough walking and running for today," Percy announced drily when Khione groaned in protest and patted the back of her calves.
Holding Khione definitely felt weird due to her cold body temperature and her now wet clothes. For a moment, Percy couldn't help but imagine what it would be like to be in bed with the goddess, though he doubted there was any chance of that ever happening. Well, unless he chose to go off the deep end.
Percy walked back over to his friends and noticed they had pulled up in their remaining SUV. "Cops are moving in and wanted to avoid the hassle. We've lost the other car, though...," she announced as Percy put Khione down, noticing the hidden glances from Jason's part.
Percy discreetly touched Khione's shoulder and dried her off. While fixing the transparent dress problem, it did leave her hair looking like someone psychotic had gone at her with a hairdryer.
"Try to run again, and we'll have real problems," Thalia then growled and kicked at Khione's leg. "That was for running away."
"Anyone else hurt?" Percy asked after giving Thalia a warning look.
The daughter of Zeus shrugged, "Apart from Melissa, only a few bumps and bruises from the flip. Amberly, while we are on the topic, bandage Melissa up," Thalia reported.
Thalia knelt down in front of Khione and tore off the tape.
"They definitely came for you. Did you call them to help you? Can we expect any more ambushes?"
"I don't think they were here to free her," Percy announced.
"What makes you come to that conclusion, Kelp Head?" Thalia growled.
"Well, the threats of gang rape for one..." Percy started, "Or the part where that big one tried to shank her."
Thalia gave him a look that clearly let him know that she didn't care.
"I saw a chance to escape and took it. Can you really hold that against me?"
The look on Thalia's face clearly said that she thought she could, and so Percy wasn't surprised when the huntress pulled out a length of Celestial bronze laced rope and tied Khione's ankles together. "And you," she announced, glaring up at Percy now. "Keep a closer eye on your prisoner."
"Relax, Pinecone Face," Percy snapped back. After defeating a bunch of rape-happy Centaurs, he was feeling rather good about himself. "I've got her," he announced and then glared at Khione.
"To add to our problems, we were already getting pretty cozy on the way over here. There won't be enough space for everyone, at least two will have to find alternative transportation. You think you could call Blackjack and take Khione back?" Thalia asked. "Or maybe just Teleport?"
Percy bit his lip. He had overused Apollo's charms and had run out. "Not really sure how to do that. Also, I am sure that would really be breaking some rule."
"So call Blackjack," Thalia insisted.
Percy sighed and looked around the group. "I really don't like the idea of leaving you guys behind. Maybe we should send Melissa and someone else ahead due to her injury."
Melissa gave him the finger, nonverbally summarizing her opinion on the matter. "It's fine," Amberly offered. "The mission is to get Khione to Olympus. If you keep her with us, you will increase the chances of an attack by quite a margin. We would also need to liberate another car..."
Percy sighed and when no one yielded, he raised two fingers to his lip and whistled loudly.
To escape detection, they moved the SUV into the large warehouse. As they waited for Blackjack to arrive, Amberly finished bandaging up Melissa's wound. All other bumps and bruises suffered during the skirmish were dealt with as well.
So by the time the large black Pegasus landed in front of the gates, their little group had used the half-hour or so looking in remarkably good shape.
"Yo Boss, you called?" the horse's voice appeared in his head.
"I need to get this goddess back to Olympus, do you think you can handle that?" Percy asked, slowly walked up to his old friend and patted his shoulder.
"You guys sure you'll be all right?" Percy asked Thalia quietly.
"I'll be fine. We'll see you on Olympus," she promised.
"Very well, guys, thank you for everything so far. I'll make it up to you later, I promise," Percy announced and somehow knew he would end up regretting this promise down the line.
First, Percy used Riptide to cut the rope holding Khione's ankles together. "Up you go," Percy then told Khione and pulled her to her feet, and dragged her over to the horse.
Again, the goddess did not comment as Percy grabbed her by her hips and lifted her up onto the Pegasus's back.
"You sure about her, Boss? She looks rather sketchy. I liked that blond sheila more, she used to give me sugar cubes."
"I did too," Percy replied, aware that half his friends likely considered him talking to a horse weird.
And so Percy climbed into Pegasus behind Khione. Noticing how tense the goddess was, Percy, cocked his head. "You've never been on a Pegasus before, have you?"
"Believe it or not, I haven't," Khione confirmed.
"I won't let you fall," Percy assured her. "Blackjack, let's get going."
After one last wave, Blackjack galloped toward the large open warehouse doors and jumped into the air, large powerful black wings beating hard to propel them into the sky.
Annabeth Chase
Her twenty-fifth-floor flat in Manhattan was relatively small. A kitchen, a living room, a bedroom, a second bedroom currently used to store her still unpacked moving boxes, and a small bathroom with a shower. Due to her day job as the chief architect on Olympus, her flat was close to the Empire State Building.
The table in her living room served her as both a living room and a dining room table, currently covered with piles of charts. Everything from sketches and blueprints of temples and buildings to property charts of certain materials. While she knew that magic could make her life a lot easier, she had the mind of an engineer after all. Magic or not, her buildings would stand. Thermal properties, load-bearing capabilities, and countless other things. She had a long list of things to do and, quite frankly, couldn't split herself in two. It was already hard enough to put in her weekly fourteen hours of gym time. She needed the exercise; otherwise, she would go insane, as she couldn't just head over to the arena and let off her steam there.
The blueprints of her ex-boyfriend's residence still hung on the wall.
Despite being a rushed job and being offered conflicting requirements for the design by the council, she was still quite pleased with herself.
Poseidon had wanted the pool to be a magical portal to the ocean. She had vetoed that after learning that Silena would be living there and doubted that the daughter of Aphrodite would appreciate jumping in for a short dip and finding herself on the bottom of the Atlantic. However, she had offered Poseidon to design a residence down under the ocean.
Zeus wanted grand pillars and copious amounts of gold. However, that would screw with the Olympian skyline, so instead, she had gone with building down instead of up. Hera and Hades wanted a dungeon, likely in anticipation of Percy holding prisoners for them. She had set the residence up with that in mind.
Aphrodite had insisted on a kinky torture room. While Annabeth doubted that Percy would find much use for that, she folded it and had simply thrown it in. Her life was enough of a mess, and she didn't need to be on Aphrodite's shitlist as well. Who were all the spare bedrooms supposed to be for? The non-existent staff of servants? Annabeth had simply added an entire floor for that, regardless of not really being able to imagine Percy going browsing on some underground slave market or dragging some poor girl off to his lair.
She sat in the same chair she had for the past fourteen hours, working on a temple/home for Morpheus. While ADHD often made it hard to concentrate on something, things that interested her granted her a sort of obsessive hyperfocus.
This project had given her a tough time. For her, designing something had to be well-founded in mathematics and physics. However, the sort of reality and consciousness-bending environment that the god of Dreams wanted was beginning to look like it might be the end of her.
Suddenly someone rang the doorbell, and Annabeth flinched. When she quickly rose to her feet, she had to steady herself; her legs were aching, and her head was spinning until her circulation caught up with her again. She needed to drink and eat more.
As Annabeth walked towards the door, she grabbed her dagger. Holding the weapon concealed behind her back, she made her way to the front door, peeked through the spy hole, and sighed deeply, putting the dagger down on a cupboard. After leaning against the wall for a long moment, Annabeth finally opened the door and found herself standing face-to-face with a beaming Sally Jackson.
"You didn't answer my calls, so I thought I'd bring you lunch," Sally announced and bustled into the flat with that motherly authority that Annabeth was neither used to nor had been able to quantify. It wasn't an authority based on strength, for the daughter of Athena knew she could tear the mortal woman limb for limb with both hands tied behind her back. It was that sort of caring smothering that Annabeth had grown up without yet was still strangely susceptible to. "Did you work through the night again?" Sally Jackson asked in an accusatory voice.
Annabeth looked down at herself, a worn-out old camp half-blood shirt, shorts, her hair unkempt. "Sweety, I told you that you need to sleep. Working yourself to death won't do anyone any good."
"I went to the gym for a few hours last night..." Annabeth defended herself and closed the door behind the mortal woman. "I'm not overly fond of what happens after falling asleep."
"Anyway, I brought you some proper food, not that takeout junk you eat!"
Annabeth ignored the comment and accepted the Tupperware boxes with what looked like pasta and tomato sauce.
"So, will you be there for the appointment?" Sally asked.
Annabeth paused.
"The doctor's appointment tomorrow," Sally explained.
Annabeth bit her lip, realizing she had completely forgotten about that. "Shouldn't you be inviting Percy for something like that?" she asked cautiously.
Sally laughed nervously. "The boy is off on some quest again, and adding this to his plate would be cruel. You think your ADHD is bad?"
Annabeth knew that this wasn't the main reason but didn't comment. If she did, Sally might call her out on her case1 of cognitive dissonance, and she just couldn't deal with that. "You know he would be more than thrilled," Annabeth reminded Sally.
Sally Jackson stuck out her tongue. "I'll be there," Annabeth promised, and Sally popped her a set of thumbs up.
"Ironically, I thought the first time the two of us went to an appointment like this, it would be for you," Sally joked lightly, earning a dirty look from Annabeth. "It was impossible to get a night's worth of sleep with the two of you in the house."
"You just had to push it," Annabeth accused, her cheeks blushing.
"I did," Sally admitted, grinning. "Paul was beyond weirded out, poor man."
Annabeth blushed even deeper, realizing why her English teacher had failed to meet her eye in class at the time.
Then Annabeth grew somber again, and Sally frowned and patted her arm. "Relax, Ms. Chase. Everything will be fine."
"Anyway, heard anything new from that Silena girl?" Sally asked conversationally.
Annabeth shrugged, careful to hide how close the topic went with her heart. "Talked to her yesterday before going to the gym. She's still adjusting, but it looks like she is in good hands with Percy and vice versa."
Annabeth kept out the fact that Silena and Percy had slept together, probably multiple times. Objectively she knew that she was in no place to judge and had no right to be jealous. Percy was very much entitled to the rebound. However, that didn't make her feel much better.
"While Silena had said that she was happy to yield the field to her, some deep part of her worried that if the daughter of Aphrodite wanted to, she could get him, and that before Annabeth managed to get her act together.
"As far as I can tell, Silena is going to be just fine," Annabeth assured Sally, marveling at how her ex-boyfriend's mother began to feel responsible for any lost soul that turned up around Percy.
Percy Jackson
Flying was both exhilarating and scary when done alone.
Khione's presence didn't make it easy. For one, screaming in terror like a little girl wasn't an option when trying to maintain a position of authority over Khione. For another, it felt as if Khione was intentionally trying to grind up against him, and there was really no option but to put an arm around her waist cautiously. He spent much of his time thinking about English spelling tests. It was the best he could do not to get a stiffy.
First, Canada, and then the US passed hundreds of feet below them. Khione didn't utter a single word throughout the journey, though that might have been hard with the wind.
In the early evening, the familiar skyscrapers of his city finally came into view. Half-hidden between clouds, the hovering mountain city of Olympus appeared.
"To the throne room," Percy announced softly, still holding Khione firmly. After a few minutes, they had finally closed the distance, and Blackjack began to circle the temple mound as he gained altitude until they finally landed with clattering hooves right in front of the imposing golden doors to the throne room.
"Welcome back to Olympus," Percy announced to the goddess and slid off Blackjack's back. "Come down here," he then ordered Khione.
Cautiously the goddess did as she was told, swinging one long leg over the Pegasus and slid off Blackjack's back. Percy caught and steadied her before she could fall over, "Come with me," Percy said.
Khione sighed deeply and squared her shoulders. "Well, Perseus, let us not keep the Lords and Ladies of Olympus waiting," Khione announced and began to walk towards the large doors that swung open as she approached. "Wait here," Percy told Blackjack and hurried after Khione and escorted her into the throne room.
He was not at all surprised to find himself being awaited.
Additionally to the three gods that had sent him to capture Khione, Aphrodite and Artemis were present as well.
"Lord Perseus, we did not expect that you would be capturing the goddess quite so soon," Zeus addressed him, looking immensely pleased. Poseidon too winked at him.
As Khione dropped down to her knees, Percy joined Artemis and Aphrodite.
"Lord Zeus, forgive my transgressions," Khione announced softly.
"Trifle late for that," Hera purred. She alone was dressed in the garments of an Olympian, complete with her dress, a peacock feather cape flowing down her back. Her long dark hair was bound in a tight braid, and a crown rested on her head.
The queen of Olympus walked up to the kneeling goddess and kicked her down on her back. "Remember when you betrayed us?" Hera asked. "Remember what I promised you?"
Khione glared up at Hera. "Your own arrogance brought you into that cage," she hissed.
"And yours will have you sink even lower," Hera said softly. "But perhaps Lord Perseus will find some use for you yet. I will come and check on you from time to time, just to remind you of your failure."
As if to add further insult, the goddess snapped her fingers. Lengths of glowing rope rose from the floor and began to wrap themselves around her ankles, quickly weaving their way up her calves, thighs, waist, and then torso, quickly forming a tight net around her, pinning her arms and legs to her body and making any movement next to impossible.
"Fuck you, Hera," Khione growled before the ropes tightened their hold and yanked her knees out from under her, letting her fall face-first to the floor.
"I will no longer suffer your voice," Hera announced to the room and snapped her fingers, a thick cloth gag appearing in Khione's voice, turning what would have uncountably been a loathing retort into moans.
"Are you sure this is necessary?" Poseidon asked.
Hera grinned darkly, "It pleased me, so yes."
"The others are taking a car back. We got ambushed and lost our second car, so Khione and I had to fly ahead," Percy whispered to Artemis.
"I know," she whispered. "Thalia sent me an Iris message after you left."
"Perseus, bring this sorry excuse of a goddess. Lord Perseus, she is yours to do with as you please as you hold her. Perhaps this sorry excuse for a goddess will still be of some use to you," Hera commanded sternly.
"Yes, my Lady," Percy replied.
It became obvious that Hera had no plans to release Khione from some of her bonds. Percy was only left with throwing the godly burrito over his shoulder to an indignant moan. Even the snow goddess was blushing deeply from impotent anger and humiliation.
"Percy," his father announced once Khione was safely resting on his shoulder.
"Good work."
"Thanks," Percy said.
"Before you leave," Zeus announced.
Percy turned back a second time. "Circe has been found. It looks like she is setting up shop in the Sea of Monsters again. We might send you to bring her in as well."
Zeus looked immensely pleased with himself, likely believing he was doing Percy a large favor by giving him literal goddesses to imprison and take advantage of.
"Thanks for the heads up," Percy replied and hastily left the throne room before he could receive any more favors from the council.
Percy carried Khione back towards Blackjack and tossed her over the Pegasus before climbing up behind his increasingly livid-looking prisoner.
"Where to, Boss?" Blackjack asked.
"My balcony," Percy ordered, figuring that would spare him any judging glances.
During the short flight, Percy couldn't help but notice that Khione's ass looked quite spectacular through the dress.
Moments later, they descended, approaching the large balcony cautiously before landing on the artful mosaic floor of his balcony.
"Thanks for the lift. I'll get you a few sugar cubes later," Percy promised the winged warhorse.
"Thanks, Boss," the Pegasus replied and took off again the moment Percy had pulled Khione off his back.
Percy swiftly carried Khione back into his private sleeping chambers. Regardless of the temptation of simply dropping Khione on the bed, taking off the chain then and there, and making her walk herself to her cell, this was quite a lot safer.
So Percy carried her down the flight of stairs and found himself standing in front of the large safe door, standing wide open.
Percy finally set the fuming goddess down on the cot in the cell closest to the door and pulled the gag out.
"You knew I was to be your prisoner! Was this your plan from the very beginning?" Khione hissed at him.
"Either you calm down, or I'll leave you chained up like this," Percy warned.
When Khione stayed silent, he tapped the rope holding Khione and watched as it shrank away until it disappeared altogether. Having had enough of the goddess for that day, Percy closed the cell door, locking Khione inside. "Don't cause any problems," Percy warned.
When Khione only glared at him, Percy left and sealed the large round vault door behind him.
With the goddess safely behind lock and key, Percy made his way up the flights of stairs, looking for his roommate.
When Percy found her, his heart sank. The daughter of Aphrodite lay on a deck, hair fast asleep, the side table filled with an empty glass. He might be oblivious, but even Percy could put one and one together well enough to realize that Silena had been drinking more than was good for her.
Percy slowly walked up to her, sat down next to her, and gently shook her shoulder. Silena grunted something incomprehensible and then tried to roll over. He could smell the alcohol on her breath.
"Rise and shine, Ms. Beauregard," Percy greeted her.
"I want to sleep," Silena mumbled and turned away from him.
His earlier enthusiasm about getting home was somewhat quenched. Percy wrapped the daughter of Aphrodite in a thin blanket. He cleaned up the glasses before settling down on the deck chair next to Silena's.
"Good morning, sleeping beauty," Percy greeted Silena when she finally stirred three hours later.
"Percy?" she slurred, confusion and disorientation written across her face.
"What time is it?"
"Ten-thirty p.m.," Percy announced.
Silena rubbed her face. "Gotta go make dinner."
"Don't," Percy said. "The only place you're going is to bed."
Silena sighed and dramatically threw herself onto her back. "I'm not that drunk," she slurred and promptly toppled off the deck chair, staying motionless on the ground.
"My bed or yours?" Percy asked, gently shaking the young woman.
"Yours?" she muttered. "With you in it. Cuddles!" she yelled, and then Silena giggled and stuck her tongue out.
"Well, Ms. Beauregard," he announced and scooped Silena up into his arms. "Bedtime for you."
"You are nice," Silena muttered as he carried her down to the master bedroom.
Percy undressed Silena and helped her into a silk nightgown. When he finally joined his servant under the covers, the completely inebriated daughter of Aphrodite obnoxiously rolled on top of him and promptly started snoring again.
Percy couldn't help but think to himself that, once again, having Camp Half-Blood's former resident hottie Silena Beauregard as a body slave wasn't delivering what his teenage fantasies had promised. Tomorrow he would have to tell her that she wasn't allowed to drink her favorite beverage anymore.
