King was sleeping peacefully until he suddenly woke up and found himself, again in the In Between Realm, overhearing a conversation between Belos and The Collector.
"But…but you said….You said you'd let me out!" The Collector whined "I hate it here!"
"Just a little longer." Am annoyed sounding Belos assured him. "We have to wait 'till after the Draining Spell."
King floats over to the source of the voices and watches them from behind a pillar. The Collector is trapped in a mysterious floating orb, while an annoyed Belos is speaking from a small round piece of glass floating nearby.
"You better not be fibbing." The Collector said. "You pinky-swore me."
"Patience, Collector, you can trust me." King scoffed at Belos.
"Hm? Who's there?!" The Collector exclaimed.
King wakes up in Marcy's lap, breathing heavily. "Hey there. It's okay." She assured him. "Bad dream?"
King, Grime, Willow, Sasha, Marcy, Alador, Amity, Gus and Hunter are all aboard the airship the Blight shipping yard on their way to the Titan's skull.
Amity is worriedly pacing back and forth, Gus is inspecting his power amplifier, Hunter was busy trying to make it move faster, Sasha was smacking her fingers against the edge, Grime was looking off into the distance with guilt over his face while three of the gang's palismen are huddled in a shaking pile.
"We gotta move fast!" Hunter exclaimed as he tried to make it move faster. "We have to save Pacifica and Luz."
"Do you even know how to fly this bird?!" Sasha asked Alador angrily.
"I know how to fly a ship." Alador replied, irritated.
"Then fly faster!" Amity commanded frantically. "We're barely halfway there. Luz could be in trouble!"
"And Pacifica." Marcy reminded Amity. "Your girlfriend isn't the only one in…"
"Not helping, Wu!" Amity argued.
"Maybe if I took the wheel..." Hunter tried to take the wheel from Alador, who only began to stare at the young boy with suspicion.
"Very eager to return to Belos, eh, Golden Guard?" Alador responded.
Grime got in-between them. "Now, let's not get into conflict."
"At least I've never built him an army!" Hunter shouted at Alador.
"Watch your tone with me, young man." Alador accidentally lets go of the steering wheel, causing the ship to tilt and Gus to fall out of his seat.
"Hey, here's a bright idea: Don't distract the pilot!" Gus suggested angrily.
"That's a great idea!" Willow yelled with a hint of angry sarcasm in her voice.
"He started it!" Hunter argued.
"And I'm ending it!" Sasha interjected angrily.
Alador, Hunter, Gus, Sasha, Willow, Grime and Amity all start yelling at each other angrily while King and Marcy watch sadly from the back of the ship.
"Uh, what do I say?" Marcy asked herself.
"Maybe let them fall out. That way Luz and Pacifica will die."
"Huh? What? Who suggested Luz should die?!" Marcy asked angrily as she stood up.
"What?!" Amity and Hunter exclaimed.
"Nobody suggested this!" Gus argued.
"It was you!" Grime yelled angrily before punching Hunter in the face. The toad and former Golden Guard were about to fight but Alador held the both of them back by summoning two Abomination arms in-between them.
"Nobody is going to wish anyone dead!" He demanded.
While everyone continued to argue, Willow just moved to check on King with her Palisman, Clover on her shoulder. "I can't believe she's gonna face Belos alone again." King said sadly. "And I'm powerless to help her. We can't even manage to help each other."
Willow lifts up Clover, and nods to her. The Palisman chirps and flies over to where the other palismen are. The palismen then push a box which made cheese, bread and apples fall out.
The arguing witches, human and toad noticed the food on the floor and stopped fighting. They stared at the food before they heard the sound of Gus' stomach growling.
Ghost made a meow sound and signalled to the food. "Look, we're all exhausted and terrified." Amity said. "Let's focus our energy on helping Luz and Pacifica instead of fighting each other."
"You heard her!" Grime responded before everyone else nodded in response. They all take a snack from the box.
While eating, Gus fist bumps Hunter as an apology while Willow sat next to Hunter, who began to blush as she sat close to him.
Alador then gestures Hunter to steer the wheel with a sincere smile but Marcy took held him by his shoulder and shook her head and motioned him to rest. She stood up and decided to steer the ship instead.
Grime and Sasha were giving each other playful shoves as they ate their snacks while Amity was rubbing her hands together from the cold until Alador summoned some Abomination goo to cover her hands.
He sits down next to her and smiles. "Aw, this is just like when I was a kid." She then realised something. "Wait. Is this why you call me Mittens?" Alador just smiled at her and ate his bread.
"That was amazing!" King remarked as he sat in Willow's lap.
"There's always a way to help." Willow said as Clover flew into her hand. "You just have to look for the right opportunity."
"Thanks, Willow. I'll…." King gave a huge yawn. "...remember that." He lies down to go back to sleep but then gets knocked over along with everyone else since the airship was tilting for some reason. But then, it eventually got back into the right position as they narrowed their eyes at the culprit.
Marcy laughed sheepishly as she rubbed the back of her head. "Oops. Sorry. Never flew this before."
Hunter sighed before standing up. "All in favour of Marcy never flying an airship say 'aye.'
"Aye!" Everyone, including Marcy responded.
Outside the Titan's head, the moon and sun are nearing an eclipse. All Coven witches from across the isles have gathered into a large, circular area ready to see what the Day of Unity was.
Then, Belos appears on top of a raised platform in the center, and the crowd gasps. Belos grins deviously, then projects a larger version of himself which made everyone cheer wildly.
"Children of the isles, for too long our world has been home to an insidious pox." Belos said. "A corruption that defiles the Titan's blessings. But today that changes." He reaches toward the sun and moon. "United with the Titan and the power of the eclipse, we shall wipe out wild magic forever. Paradise awaits."
Belos's projection fades out and six of the Coven Heads walk out onto the central platform, including Adrien, whom was busy hopping due to his foot injury. "I want you to fire whoever fired that arrow!" Adrien demanded.
"We will sprout, we will." Terra assured him.
Meanwhile, Raine, Eda, Lilith, Yunan and Hooty (The latter four have just canceled out their invisibility glyph) are hiding in a small hollowed-out area nearby.
Lilith looks down to see Katya and Derwin disguised as Coven Scouts guarding the area. Katya gives her a thumbs-up which she returned.
"Whoo!" Eda stretched causing her to detach and reattach her arm by accident. "That last stretch was a long one."
"I can hold my breath for seven minutes so, I'm okay." Yunan assured them.
"Hey, pay attention." Raine commanded. "The other Coven Heads think they're gonna be royalty after today. And they'll do anything to make that happen. The cloaking stone won't cover your voice, so make sure not to speak. Also…
Eda grabs Raine by the shoulders. "The curse will do its thing. I got this, Rainestorm. Don't worry." She kisses their forehead.
But Raine pulled away in worry. "Don't." They grab Eda's arm sadly, rubbing the Bard Coven Sigil, then hold her hand between theirs. "Don't tell me not to worry."
Lilith runs up and hugs Eda tearfully. "Edalyn, please be careful! If you need help, just, uh, flap your arms."
"Or scream real loud!" Hooty said.
"I'll come in and slice everyone up!" Yunan said proudly.
"Or…or…" Lilith stuttered as tears start welling up in her eyes. This made Eda touch her sister's face reassuringly.
"Don't worry, Lily. With this spell declared, I promise I'll be back." Eda said, harking back to a spell Lilith always shared with her.
"That's not a spell. Doesn't even rhyme." Lilith chuckled.
Eda touches her and Lilith's foreheads together in a manner similar to the pain-sharing spell. Hooty rises up behind them with tears in his eyes as well, and Eda kisses the top of his head.
She then approaches Yunan and places a hand on her shoulder. "I know we haven't known each other for long. But, you were…"
"Don't!" A tearful Yunan interjected. "You just save your world." She gave Eda a light shoulder tap before walking away to not have anyone see her cry.
Eda then activates her cloaking stone that turned her into Raine and starts heading toward the central platform, but hesitates. As she looks back, a vision briefly appears on in her eyesight of younger versions of Raine, Lilith, Darius, Alador, Odalia, Principal Bump and Perry Porter. The other younger selves fade away until only Raine and Lilith are left. The vision then disappears to reveal current Raine and Lilith looking nervously at Eda. She smiles and winks at them both before proceeding forward to join the other Coven Heads, who are gathering in a circle around Belos.
"Oh! I forgot to mention, I decided to switch up the arrangement." Belos declared.
Darius and Eda, disguised as Raine, are both shocked. Eberwolf gasps at this, but is shoved aside by Adrien's tail. He hopped next to the disguised Eda, looking very disheveled, much to her surprise.
"Don't say a word about my appearance." Adrien commanded. "I will not be taking notes at this time."
Terra pushes Darius away and stands beside Eda, still as Raine. She grins at her deviously. "Hello, sprout!" Eda gulped nervously at Terra.
Belos raises his arms, then draws a large glyph-like shape into the ground below himself and the Coven Heads. He raises his staff into the air and activates it. "Goodbye, Boiling Isles." He said in a low voice. He slams his staff into the ground and activates the glyph, sending large pillars of light into the air.
All of the audience's Coven Sigils start glowing before he then turned into goo and disappeared into the ground, reforming himself at the center of the Titan's Head where his portal is.
"We did it! It's done, it's done!" The Collector cheered. "Now you can set me free and we can play new games!"
"I'm afraid that's impossible." Belos said.
The Collector stared at Belos with shock and confusion. "Uh, excuse-a-what now?" Belos sets down The Collector's mirror. "B-But you said you'd use the Titan blood to help free me."
"And I'm sorry, but I just realized I only have enough Titan's Blood to open the portal." Belos replied as he took off his cape and tied his hair back so that he looks much more like Philip. He takes out the portal key and drains the last of its Titan's Blood into a device that powers the portal.
"But you said we were friends!" The Collector cried angrily. "W-We pinky-swore!" He begins screaming furiously. "You lied! Liar! Liar! Liar, liar, liar, liar, liar, liar! Liar!" The Collector disappears when Belos places his cape over the mirror.
Kikimora then walks through the door in her Abomatron with the orb containing Luz and Pacifica. "Emperor, congratulations on this momentous day." She said as he her Abomatron kneeled. "I come bearing a gift." Belos slowly walks towards her. "You had been looking for the Golden Guard, and here he is and with his new legal guardian that looked after him while on Earth. Perhaps this act is worthy of me returning to my old post. Or, if you're looking for a new right hand..."
"Have you as my right hand?" Belos reacted in shock. "I'd sooner cut off my whole arm."
Kikimora was shocked and heartbroken. "But, uh, I just want to help."
"You want to help?" Belos asked as he takes the cloak-covered mirror and drags Kikimora out with magic. "Go find a hole to wither away in." He leaves the shocked Kikimora; then goes to the edge of the bridge. "And you..."
Belos removes the cloak to reveal The Collector banging on the mirror. "I gave you the draining spell. I taught you magic stronger than anybody's!"
Belos was however unfazed by the tantrum. "And that's why I won't release you. Can't have you giving that to anyone else. Goodbye." He throws the mirror and cloak off the bridge, and with it, the screaming Collector.
"You're a liar, liar, pants on fire!" The Collector screamed he disappeared deeper down the hole.
Belos takes one last glance before walking away from the edge and back in the room where the portal and captive Luz and Pacifica are held.
"Of course she'd mess up such a simple task." He dispels the bubble, releasing Luz and Pacifica. "But I am glad to see you, my fellow humans." Luz and Pacifica do not move, surprising him. "What, no fight left? Or did you learn your lesson from last time?"
Luz finally turns around, confident. "You wish."
She inhales and uses an invisibility glyph and slaps it on her and disappears. Belos was about to react until Pacifica fired a laser gun at him, which he blocked with magic.
"That your best attempt?" Belos asked as he used magic to crush her weapon.
He then noticed Pacifica smirking as Luz suddenly appeared behind him. "Spicy toss!" She releases a wave of flames towards Belos but he deflects it with his staff.
"Of course not." Belos said before he began to attack the two.
Luz tried formed some ice glyphs that she formed into shards and threw at Belos, who deflected them by forming a shield.
Then Pacifica charged at him with her energy sword and got into a sword/staff duel with him. The two deflected each of their hits before Belos swiped his staff to the left, causing Pacifica to shoot backwards.
She luckily still had her feet on the floor which caused her to skid. Before Belos could deliver a final blow with a powerful blast of magic, Luz suddenly ran up in front of her and formed an ice shield that deflected back at Belos. But instead of hitting him, he just absorbed the magic like it was nothing.
Pacifica then began to charge at Belos and the two engaged in another staff/sword duel. Pacifica kicked Belos in the leg, causing him to lose balance. Luz then trapped his arms in vines which Pacifica used as an opportunity to try and slice his head lengthways.
But the powerful emperor only freed himself and pushed Luz backwards into a wall before clashing his staff against Pacifica's sword.
"Might I inquire why someone like you would you wish to take care of my nephew?" Belos asked.
They deflected their respective weapons against each other before clashing their weapons against each other. "Well, why wouldn't I? He's a kid been abused by his evil family member. Trust me when I say this, we have something in common."
They then deflected their weapons against each other before clashing them. "I don't understand why a pathetic little human like you would want a Grimwalker like him."
They deflected their respective weapons again before clashing them. "So I can keep him safe from an outdated human like you. You know, people have given up on witch hunting. Heck, some have embraced the witches both in pop culture and as well as Paganism."
"How do I know you aren't making this up?" Belos asked.
"If you get to the Human Realm, look for stuff like Good Witch Azura and Cynthia Coven." Pacifica suggested. "Trust me, they will blow your withering mind. When people see you spouting claims of witchcraft and Demon Realms, they'll just see you as a madman."
Belos rolled his eyes in annoyance. "You know, I'm getting tired of you talking. I should kill you."
"Well, good thing I distracted you for long." Pacifica ducked before Luz suddenly appeared with a rock glyph around her hand and using it to punch Belos in the chest, causing him to fly backwards into a table with various blueprints, a chalice and a crooked dagger.
"That rocked!" Luz exclaimed.
"Think we can take him down Luz?" Pacifica asked as she spun her sword.
Luz grinned. "Oh yeah." The two began to charge at Belos, who gave a savage growl before charging towards them.
Back on airship, Hunter is staring at the eclipse and lifts up his glove to stare the Emperor's Coven sigil underneath. He then looks at Alador, with a worried expression on his face.
The group could see the draining spell from a distance with King look on with a concerned expression.
"How far away, Alador?" Sasha asked.
"We're not far." Alador replied. "We shall be able to reach the skull in seven minutes."
"You know, I just realised something." Grime said. "I think we could have gotten there faster if we used the Palismen." Everyone froze in realisation at Grime's comment before groaning.
"He's right." Gus said.
"We're so stupid." Willow groaned.
"I'm smarter than everyone here!" Marcy exclaimed. "Why didn't I think of this?!"
"Likewise!" Alador replied.
"Ditto!" Amity exclaimed.
But before they could yell at each other at their stupidity, they were surprised by a passing Emperor's Coven ship.
"Your ship has been reported stolen. Land immediately!" The Coven Scout demanded.
Amity growled angrily. "Mom..."
Everyone readied their respective weapons. "Would you mind if I knock your mother out with my hammer?" Grime asked Amity.
"No." Amity replied.
Gus casts an illusion spell, changing the ship's appearance to a flock of birds. "That will fool them!" Marcy said.
"Don't be fooled! Take them down!" The Coven Scout commanded to some robots and Abomatrons.
The Abomatrons and robots keep shooting at the birds. Alador narrowed his eyes angrily before tapping a few buttons on his wrist device.
The robots on the other airship all turned against the Scout, something they noticed. "Oh no you don't!" He used his magic to make their heads explode.
Then, Hunter suddenly appears and wraps the Coven Scout around his own cloak, but gets knocked off his staff by an Abomatron.
As he falls he tries to catch his staff but fails to catch it and screams while falling as Flapjack flies after him.
Suddenly, he is caught by Willow and becomes flustered at her. Then Flapjack arrives and Hunter grabs him.
"Hey loser, guess who else has fire power!" Marcy tapped on a glyph she drew on the tip of her arrow, causing it to light up in fire. She fired a shot at the Scout but he only deflected it.
The Abomatrons kept shooting until they got turned off by Amity, who was on her staff while giving the Scout a grin.
The illusion around the ship vanishes as the three return aboard. "Wow! Those shots are powerful." Marcy remarked.
"Why did I make those things so powerful?" Alador asked himself angrily before hitting his head. "Stupid Alador. Stupid!"
The ship suddenly rumbles, startling a concerned King. Sure enough, two more ships with more Abomatrons are tailing them.
"Fire!" The Coven Scout commanded before the Abomatrons began to do so.
The massive shots from the Abomatrons, caused the group's ship to get destroyed and start rocketing towards the ground. Everyone holds on to the rails bracing for the impact.
"Staffs would have been a great idea!" Grime cried.
"Not now Grime!" Everyone cried.
Back at the Titan's head, where the draining spell is initiated. Everyone is rejoicing and cheering as the moon slowly comes in contact with the sun.
While with the Coven Heads, among them, a still-disguised Eda was looking very nervous. Her arm then starts to bubble and everyone feels their magic weaken. Darius and Eberwolf notice this, but remain calm, satisfied that their plan is working perfectly.
"What?" One of the witches reacted.
"It's getting weaker." Said another one.
Eda notices her curse delaying the draining spell, and attempts to hide it, however, Terra suddenly binds her shoulders.
"Looks like my suspicions were correct." Terra said. "Graye, if you'd please."
Adrin Draws a spell circle and points it at Eda. "Gladly. I love a good twist." He made the illusion dispel and Raine is revealed to be Eda in disguise.
"Hey!" Eda cried.
Upon seeing this, Eberwolf immediately summons their beast form and lunges at Terra, however it is blocked by Mason, the Construction Coven head, and his hammer. Eberwolf simply clings onto his hammer and summons flesh-eating insects which begin to crawl around him. Mason drops his hammer in shock and begins screaming and waving the bugs away, to no avail, as Eberwolf summons more of them that cover his head.
"Oh, for Titan's sake." Darius said before he transformed into a large abomination and begins fighting the other Coven Heads as well. Eberwolf is suddenly restrained by Osran, the Oracle Coven head, as Vitimir, the Potions Coven head, attacks Darius, but he slices off their hat. Eberwolf lets out a growl, forcing Darius to turn around, but Hettie, the Healing Coven head, throws a scalpel at Eberwolf and holds it down his throat, forcing Darius to turn back to his normal self and surrender as Vitimir puts him back in his place.
Terra watched this with a disdained look. "You too, Darius? Did you really think you'd get away with this?"
Mason recovers and returns to his place just as two Abomatrons arrive, one of them carrying a weakened and restrained Raine. The other Abomatron comes over and begins to drag Eda away.]
"No. No, no, no. No, no, no! Raine!" She cried as she was dragged away.
Down the stairs, Lilith, Katya, Derwin and Hooty are also restrained, the latter trapped in a glowing orb similar to Luz's. While Yunan was stuck in a stray jacket and a muzzle on her mouth.
Back with the Coven Heads, Raine gets carried and is prepared to be put in their place. "No! You're are making a big mistake!" She cried.
"My only mistake was letting you two live all those years ago." Terra said. "Remember our first meeting? So young and a future power couple."
Raine gets dropped into their place. "Raine!" Eda cried.
"Eda!" Raine cried as their eyes suddenly glow.
Terra laughed evilly. "Hello, paradise!" Darius groans in pain as he felt the effect of the draining spell. The magic returns and everyone's sigils start to glow brightly.
Back inside the secret chamber, Pacifica and Luz were in a energy sword/ice sword/staff fight with Belos whom was smiling sinisterly.
Pacifica then kicked him in the chest, sending him backwards a bit but he managed to pull himself back up and narrowed his eyes at them.
Luz began charging at Belos who only performed a powerful force push, sending her flying backwards into a wall and knocking her unconscious.
Pacifica jumped into action and tried to hit Belos with her sword, but he only dodged it like it was nothing.
The two then began to deflect each other's hits before Belos kicked Pacifica backwards into a pillar. The human woman quickly got up and began to deflect Belos' hits from the blade. She tried to stab Belos with her sword but he grabbed it by the burning blade and pulled it out of her hand.
He tossed it aside and tried to hit Pacifica with his staff, but she only avoided it with clean dodges and a roll. She managed to dodge enough hits in order to get to her sword which she picked up and activated.
She and Belos once again engaged in their duel and began to clash their respective weapons against each other.
In that time, Luz managed to wake herself up from her unconscious state and saw the two narrowing their eyes at each other as they continued to clash their weapons.
But Luz, in that moment, saw Belos flick his wrist to reveal that he had a crooked dagger up his sleeve. "PACIFICA!" Luz cried out to her in order to save her.
But it was too late, because Belos had stabbed Pacifica in the gut with the crooked blade. Pacifica was shocked by what Belos had done to her, gasping for air to hold on what but of life she had left in her.
He pulled her close as he pushed the blade deeper into the gut. "Don't worry. You're free now." He pulled the blade out of her as she stepped backwards.
The grown woman looked to the blood coming from her stomach and placed her hand over her mouth in shock. Then, she felt something oozing from her mouth and touched her lips to realise that she now had blood coming from her mouth. She collapsed on her back as she began to succumb to the injuries.
"Pacifica!" Luz cried before running straight towards her body that was growing frail. "No! No! No! No! No!" Luz began to put pressure on the wound in an effort to save her life. "Come on, Paz! Come on, Paz! Come on! Don't you die on me! Don't you die on me!" Luz had tears falling from her eyes as she desperately tried to save her. "Paz! Come on! Come on think of Dipper! Think of Hunter! For God sake, don't die on me!"
The weak Pacifica placed her bloody hand on Luz's jacket as she stared at Luz's face. "Tell….Tell Dipper….To watch….him. To…Take….Care of him." Then, she closed her eyes as she finally succumbed to the wound.
Belos only gave a saddened look while Luz narrowed her eyes at him in anger. "Look at what your actions have done!"
"I was about to say the same thing to her." Belos said before using his magic to toss her lifeless body out of the Titan's skull and onto a small cliff.
"You killed her!" Luz exclaimed as tears fell from her eyes. "You shouldn't have killed her!" She jumped towards Belos, who only performed a force push which caused Luz to nearly crash into the floor.
However, when she nearly hit the ground she quickly activates a safety hover glyph which slows her falling, and she runs away, avoiding Belos' attack.
She then hides behind a wall, panting. "I didn't realize you're already combining glyphs!" Belos said while Luz places an ice glyph on each pillar as she runs. "You do have a strange intuition with these. It took me years to figure that out. Almost like the Titan himself didn't want me to have that knowledge."Luz then activates the glyphs but Belos, knowing the attack, destroys the ice shards. "Though you're still decades away from beating me."
He narrowly avoids a fire attack and restrains Luz with his hand, morphed into goo. "Eat dirt, Belos!" She screamed in anger.
"It's Philip." Belos retorted. "And despite our differences, I want to help you, Luz. I can send you home. I have just enough Titan Blood for one more trip." Luz looks towards the door and back at him. "Please. I don't want to see another human life destroyed by this place."
"You're such a hypocrite." Luz said. "You talk big about protecting humanity, but after everything you've done, you're barely human yourself. You wanna say the same thing to Pacifica?"
As she spoke, Belos' scar on his face returns. "I do pity you. These monsters have warped your sense of reality." He said while Luz's expression remains unchanged. "Perhaps it'd be merciful to put you out of your misery."
He activates a petrifying spell to petrify her. In that moment, Luz's body slowly starts to turn to stone which was causing her to panic as she knew she'll never get out of it.
"Wait. Wait, wait, wait! You…You can't! You…" She looks around the room and spots a branding glove on the other table. "Y-You do realize you've been gone from the Human Realm for centuries. Times have changed. You wanna be known as the Emperor of the Witch Hunters, right?"
"Witch Hunter General?" Belos responded questionably. "But Pacifica said…."
"A load of donkey turd!" Luz said.
Ans yeah, Witch Hunter General. But those aren't really a thing anymore." Luz said. "No one's gonna take you seriously if you start ranting about the Demon Realm. Not to mention a fashion sense like that... Belos glances at his clothes, surprised and sees Luz with an unimpressed look. "Yikes, my dude."
Belos throws Luz away as she knocks over the table, and spotting the branding glove, immediately hides it behind her. "So what? You're offering to be my modern-day guide?"
"I'm not offering anything." Luz said. "But I do wanna make a deal." Belos looked intrigued with what Luz was willing to do. "I can't beat you. I know that. So... I will return to the Human Realm, and I will be your guide. If, you spare my friends." Belos scoffs at this while Luz is almost completely petrified. "Come on. You'll need living proof that this realm exists. You'd do anything to save humanity, well…." Luz was almost close to being petrified as tears start welling up in her eyes. "I'd do anything to save the people I love. Please... Philip!"
Belos looks satisfied and reverses the petrification, surprising Luz. "Fine."
Luz holds out her hand. "Then shake on it. Human style."
Belos looks skeptical, but Luz holds out both her arms and shakes them, implying that she isn't hiding anything. Belos takes her hand and shakes it when suddenly, Luz's other hand immediately grabs his hand, and the back of his hand starts burning. He yells in pain and retreats as his arm now shows the Emperor's Coven sigil branded onto it.
Luz exhales deeply and the branding glove immediately appears on her hand, revealing everything she said to be a trick, angering Belos.
Outside, the eclipse finally happens. As the Coven Heads revel in their false victory while Eda fearfully watched the eclipse.
Terra's look of victory diminishes when she notices her sigil is burning. "Huh?"
The other Coven Heads also experience the same effect. Glowing veins start appearing on their bodies.
"No. We're too late!" Darius cried.
Once Eberwolf is released from the trap, he clutches his arm in pain and the other Coven Heads do the same thing.
"What... is.. happening?" The terrified Terra asked. "Raine, Belos is giving us paradise, right?" Raine shakes their head in response. Terra whimpers as she and the other Coven Heads start to collapse to the ground, affected by the draining spell.
The other witches and Coven Scouts, upon seeing this, start to scream and attempt to escape and run away but are trapped inside by the Abomatrons and robots.
Back inside the Titan's head, Belos also collapses as a result of the draining spell thanks to being branded by Luz.
"You'll never make it out of here, unless you stop the draining spell right now!" Luz demanded angrily but Belos does not respond. "I. Said. Stop it!"
Instead, Belos transforms into his monster form and a horrified Luz backs up. Having fully transformed, Belos looks back at Luz.
King slowly wakes up and groans as he sees Alador fighting off the Abomatrons and robots as Amity, Sasha, Willow, Marcy, Grime, Gus and Hunter recover.
"Oh, my head." Gus said while Grime pulled him up.
"Willow, are you okay? Come on, I'll help you up." Hunter helped the discombobulated Willow up back on her feet.
"We have to go!" Sasha commanded.
Alador continues fighting off the Abomatrons and robots as Amity approaches him, pleading to come with them. "Dad. Dad! Dad, are you…"
"Take this." The weak Alador hands his daughter the controller.
"Dad, no! We're not gonna leave you!" Amity pleaded as tears began to fall from her eyes.
But instead, Alador simply kisses her forehead and continues fighting the Abomatrons as Willow and Marcy drag her away.
"Amity, come on, we can't stay!" Willow exclaimed.
"We have to go!" Hunter cried out.
"Everyone, get on your staffs!" Sasha commanded before the gang start to collect their palismen and start running away.
Gus approaches the weakened King. "King, King, are you okay?"
King faints again due to the intense crash and injury.
When he opens his eyes, he sees all the weakened Coven Heads lying on the ground. Hunter and Marcy approach Darius as Willow, Sasha, Grime and Amity run past them.
"Darius? Darius? Darius, wake up!" Marcy cried.
"Come on!" Hunter exclaimed.
Willow and Amity reach Eda and find her unconcious but held by the Abomatron. Amity turns it off just as Eda collapses into Willow's arms.
"Eda! I've got her!" Willow said while King blinked and looked at the unconscious Eda and a concerned Amity. "She's not waking up."
"We have to get to the head." Amity said. "Luz could be in trouble."
The last word echoes as King closes his eyes again.
Then, he opened his eyes for the third time. And began to rub his skull; part of it is now cracked. "Eh... eh?" When King regains consciousness, he finds the gang riding on their staffs. Sasha was riding with Amity, Marcy with Hunter and Grime with Willow.
Gus was carrying the baby Titan as they all head towards Luz. "Uh…."
"Hey, what's that sludge of purple by that small cliff?" Marcy asked.
Willow squinted her eyes to get a look. "It looks like a person."
Grime squinted his eyes. "A human shaped purple sludge with blonde hair."
Hunter instantly put the pieces of the description together. "Pacifica!" He flew his staff towards the cliff with everyone following.
Once they stopped, everyone had a shock of horror on their faces. "Oh no." Sasha said.
"Pacifica!" Hunter jumped off his staff toward Pacifica's lifeless body which was covered in bruises, scratches and a huge pool of blood coming from her abdomen. "No! No! No! No! No! No!" Hunter shook her. "Pacifica! Pacifica! Wake up, please!"
Marcy ran up to her body and began to check her pulse. "Come on! Come on!" Marcy said.
"Is she alive?!" Hunter asked in desperation as tears began to fall down his face. "Please Marcy! Tell me she's alive!" Marcy gave Hunter a sad look and shook her head sadly. Hunter gritted his teeth in anger and clenched his fists before dropping down on his knees and screaming. "I'M GOING TO KILL YOU BELOS!"
Then, the group heard a roar coming from the Titan's head. "This could be your opportunity." Sasha said as he wiped a tear away. "Let's move!"
Back inside the secret quarters, Belos, still in his monster form, continues to chase Luz around, who keeps evading him.
"Okay. I-I know you're mad, but we can still fix things... just, stop the spell!" Luz pleaded. Belos lunges at her but she avoids him just in time, however he hits and nearly damages the portal door by accident. "The door... watch the door!" She yelped as she escaped another of Belos' attack. She inhales as she takes an invisibility glyph and slaps it on herself, and she disappears. Belos begins to search for Luz around the room but he couldn't find a sign. Until she then appears at the door leading outside the room. "Over here!" Luz opens the door and runs through with Belos following her. She stops and turns around as Belos rose behind her.
"We. Don't. Belong here!" Belos said.
"I'm not like you!" Luz argued.
Belos prepares to attack Luz but is stopped by vines and a crossbow to the head. Belos falls, revealing King, Sasha, Willow, Marcy, Gus, Grime, Amity and Hunter.
"We're here to help!" Willow said.
"Did you really think we wouldn't follow you?" Amity asked smugly.
"Yeah girl, get with it." Marcy said.
"You are one recklessly stupid person!" Sasha exclaimed.
"You guys are literally the coolest!" Luz said.
Grime smiled smugly. "We know." He spun his warhammer, ready to fight Belos.
Speaking of, Belos got up and tore the arrow that had pierced his forehead. "We have to get him to stop the draining spell, but he's all...berserk mad!"
"No Luz, he was always berserk mad." Sasha retorted.
"I think we're staring at the real him." Marcy theorised.
Willow summons more vines to pull Belos back while the bridge they're on starts to break. Sasha then ran up to Belos and stabbed him in the chest with her sword, causing him to scream in pain but no severe damage had been done as he broke free of the vines and caused rubble to start falling.
"Luz!" Amity screamed as she ran to Luz and summoned an abomination shield to cover Luz and herself.
Belos threw Sasha's sword at her which she caught. "Hey Belos, learnt this yet?" Sasha pushed the glyph on her sword, causing to light up in flame. And she did the same with the other one.
Belos roared at it before Grime hit him in the face with his warhammer several times before being hit by the monster, straight into a wall. But the toad shot straight back up and began charging towards Belos.
Then, Willow holds him down with some vines again before Marcy fired another shot from her crossbow, this time in his eye.
While this went on, Gus took King to a safe spot and puts him down. "It's about to get real scary. You stay here."
"But I can help!" King protested.
Belos fully breaks free of the vines and roars loudly as he pulled the arrow from his eye. Amity uses an abomination hand to grab him, and that gets frozen by one of Luz's glyphs.
Sasha pulled Marcy back to make sure she didn't get hit by debris while Grime did the same with Sasha.
While Hunter teleported towards Willow and broke the rubble about to fall on her. "Gus!" She cried.
"On my way!" Gus called back and ran straight to battle.
King tries to follow, but a tremor causes him to fall backwards and down a staircase. He stands up and watches the battle from below.
"It's pointless." Said a familiar voice. King turned to face the biped demon, whom was lying in her Abomatron, unhappy. "Belos can't stop the spell any more than they can. Only The Collector has that power."
"Who... is The Collector?" King as he walked towards her.
"Neither witch nor demon, a child from the stars." She explained. "Belos only talked to him when he thought no one was around, but I was always listening. Belos was afraid of him."
"An opportunity." King smiled. "Take me to him!"
"If that means kicking the Emperor's butt…" Her Abomatron stands up slowly. "…gladly." She gestures to a staircase leading downwards.
Back on the bridge, Amity makes a rope out of abomination goo and uses it to restrain Belos and Sasha sliced his neck with her swords, but despite some goo coming out, he wasn't affected.
"Come on! What's it gonna take to kill this guy?!" Sasha asked angrily.
"I don't know!" Grime replied. "Pray until he does?"
Gus then prepared to cast a spell on him. "All right, Belos, time to calm down a little." Gus activates the spell, and immediately, Belos breaks free of the rope as he writhes around in pain. He accidentally smashes a pillar which almost falls, but Willow manages to hold it with vines as Amity regroups with the others.
Belos flashes back to some of his memories and screeches loudly while Gus was having difficulty controlling the spell and is about to get attacked by Belos when Grime speeds over and pushes him out of the way, just as he snaps out of the spell with a look of revelation and shock on his face.
Belos, also released from the spell, approaches Hunter and transforms his face to its human visage. "Hunter, why are you hurting me? I only wanted to help you!"
Hunter began to shake in fear. "You're... You're lying!"
Belos immediately spots Flapjack and gets angry. "Caleb?!" His face deforms again before he screeches loudly.
Marcy ran up to Belos and shot him with a flaming arrow, causing him some pain before grinning. "Why, aren't you Marcy Wu?"
Marcy reloaded her crossbow. "What's it to you?"
"I have to thank you for being an appropriate vessel to the Core." Belos said. "They said they would possess you again and again and again if they ever had the chance."
"Shut up!" Marcy screamed as her eye flickered orange before firing another crossbow to his neck, causing him to scream in pain.
Some rubbles tried to hit Marcy but then Belos shoved her aside for some reason. Once Marcy pulled herself up, she was confused as to why Belos saved her before Luz Raman up to him.
"Hey Belos!" The human witch said before firing a fire glyph to his face. This made Belos scream before slicing his claw down to Luz's face.
The claw hit her in her left eyebrow, causing her to scream in pain as she held to where she had been scratched.
"Luz!" Amity cried to her girlfriend before using her Abomination hands to pull her and Marcy to safety.
While the fight went on, somewhere, deep down the Titan's bones, King and Kikimora have arrived to a place filled with skeletons and Golden Guard masks.
"What is this place?" King asked.
Kikimora turns around "Where the failures end up."
King steps forward and spots the crescent-shaped mirror, with Belos' former robe hanging with it. After hesitating for a while, King touches the mirror, and out comes The Collector. However, his demeanor has changed as a result of Belos' betrayal against them.
"Leave me alone. I don't associate with fibbers." The Collector blows raspberry until they noticed something. The Collector opens their eyes and spots King's shadow, but can't see King himself. "Wait. I know someone's there, I can feel it. But why can't I see you?" King is also confused, then it is revealed he is protected from being seen by The Collector as a result of the symbol engraved onto his collar. He takes it off and reveals himself causing The Collector to gasp in shock. They then approach the baby Titan. "You look like that bully who put me in here. No way, are you his little Titan baby? I've always wanted to play with you! But your dumb pops hid you. Hey, do you like hide and seek? I'll hide first!"They start to hide.
"Wait, wait! Mr. Collector, please, we need you to stop this draining spell." King pleaded.
"Mister?" The Collector gave an exasperated sigh. "You are soooo boring."
King thinks for a while before a solution came into his head. "Well, you know what's better than hide and seek? A game called "The" uh- "The Owl House"!"
The Collector then started to get curious. "Ooh, how do you play?"
"Oh, it's so fun, like, the most fun!" King exclaimed. "And I can show you if you want. We're gonna need a lot of players, like, a whole island's worth of players but, uh..." He sighed. "Aw, shucks."
"What's wrong?" They asked.
"Well, gee, everyone's gonna perish from this ding-dang draining spell." King pretend pouted like a child. "Guess we can't play that awesome game after all. Man, it was fun though." He begins to walk away but The Collector stops him in his track.
"Wait, if you're a Titan, you can let me out." The Collector said. "I can stop the spell! And we could play together!"
"Golly, you'd do that?"
The Collector however had some suspicions about King after the last time he trusted someone. "Wait, you're not tricking me into doing your chores like Philip, are you?"
"I would never! Pinky swear." He offers his pinky finger out to him, and The Collector laughs deviously at this. Suddenly, from above, the ground starts rumbling. "I'll even let you out right now. W-What do I need to do? D-Do-Do you need my... blood?"
"No, silly!" They go towards the mirror and stick out their pinky finger. "Just... follow my lead."
Back on the bridge, Luz runs forward to catch a falling Amity. "Amity!" She managed to catch her before Belos lunges at them.
Downstairs, The Collector places their pinky hand in the mirror and King links it and then began to pull it out. As he pulled, a hand starts coming out of the mirror, still linked to his pinky finger. The mirror slowly breaks.
Back outside, Eda gasped and wakes up. Sitting up, her body starts to wither and decay as a result of her curse, and she yells in pain. Her right hand, still branded with the Bard Coven sigil, is suddenly held by Raine, who has managed to crawl over to her. "Raine?"
Raine was weak from the draining spell but appeared to be using whatever ounce of strength they had to help their girlfriend. "I promised a special kid... I'd protect you." Raine the rips Eda's arm off and lets it get blown away. Eda suddenly stops decaying, however, Raine gets weaker and they eventually pass out.
"Raine!" She cried.
Back in the skull, the broken mirror of The Collector's prison drops to the ground and a hooded entity suddenly appears and as they turn around, a flash of bright light emitting from them. Kikimora shields her eyes from the brightness.
Back on the bridge, a heavily beaten Luz, Sasha, Amity, Marcy, Grime, Willow, Gus and Hunter; Who, has collapsed due to the draining spell are all exhausted from fighting Belos.
Each one had sustained some kind of cut or bruise from the fight. With the more prominent being the deep scratch on Luz's brow, the cut on Marcy's right eyelid and blood coming from Sasha's mouth.
Belos prepares to attack them, and the group shields themselves for the final blow while Grime was ready with his warhammer. Until, the attack is suddenly halted by something.
Luz opens her eyes to see who is stopping the attack, and it's shown to be a hand by The Collector, now in their true form.
They were a short humanoid being with childlike features. Tan, yellow skin, bushy white hair and eyebrows, an upward-pointing nose, and a large pale blue blotch that eclipses the left side of his face, giving the right side the appearance of a crescent moon shape. Their eyes are yellow and have narrow pupils with scarlet irises. And his left leg was pale blue.
He wore full-body clothing resembling pajamas with an oversized collar and sleeves. The clothes are split between dark blue on the right and periwinkle-gray on the left. The sleeves have these colors switched, with the right sleeve being periwinkle with blue suns and the left sleeve being blue with periwinkle crescent moons, as well as a magenta border on the rims of the cuffs. His head has a nightcap with a magenta border and light spots like stars and wears dark blue shoes with light gray poms on them.
They also wore a pink jewel pendant with a smiling crescent around his neck. The left cheek of their face has star-shaped freckles under his eye.
"Whatcha playing?" They asked the surprised group.
"Uh….Why is there a child here?" Marcy asked.
Whereas everyone was confused, Belos was doing his best to hide his horror as he slowly backed up. "Collector!" He exclaimed as The Collector glared at him. "You're free, just as promised..."
"As promised?" The Collector chided. "I remember someone throwing me off a bridge. I'm not angry though. Say, you wanna play tag?" They twirl their finger around and Belos is immediately whisked towards them. "I'm it." They tap his nose and Belos immediately gets launched above the door, seemingly killed. The remains of Belos dripped on the floor while the group stared on equally shocked and horrified.
"Oh…My…Frog." Grime said with fear as he realised this is what he helped Belos find all those years ago.
The Collector laughed at Belos' supposed demise. "Too slow!" He looked back at the others. "You guys look slow too." He starts to walk towards them. "Do you need a head start?"
Before The Collector can reach the group, however, King blocks the path. "Whoa, whoa, Collector! Buddy, pal!"
"King!" They exclaimed happily.
"Remember what we talked about?" King asked. "You gotta help all my friends outside, or, uh, we won't get to play "Owl House". He Looks back at the group and motions them to play along.
"Uh…What's the Owl House?" Sasha asked.
"Uh... Owl House? Uh, gosh!" Luz chuckled nervously. "I love that game!"
"The memories last a lifetime!" Amity happily exclaimed.
"I play it everyday!" Willow exclaimed.
"I play it every afternoon!" Marcy exclaimed.
"I play it every hour!" Gus exclaimed while Hunter squealed nervously.
"I play it every toad new year!" Grime exclaimed.
"I'll explain the rules later, but remember, we need lots of players." King said.
The Collector then walks forward while everyone clears the way. They look outside and spot the eclipse draining the magic out of everyone outside. They then enlarge their eyes to spot everyone fainted as a result, including the Coven Heads.
After thinking for a while, he decides to stop the spell. "Hmm. Okay!" He moves the moon beside the sun with a touch of their finger. "Boop."
The spell immediately stops as the group watches. Willow, Marcy, Gus and Hunter notice the latter's veins have disappeared.
Back outside, everyone starts to groan and wake up. Yunan managed to escape her confinement. "Ha! I'm free! Wait, is the Draining Spell not working? Did the moon just move on its own?!"
Back with everyone, Marcy was in amazement. "Wow! We have an OP teammate!"
"Hmm." The Collector soon said which made the group immediately shoot them suspecting looks.
"Uh….They are on our side, right?" Marcy asked unsure of herself.
Then, they chuckle. "If we're gonna play Owl House…" He starts floating in the air. "…we're gonna need an Owl House!" They slap their hands together, and every part of the island starts to disassemble to prepare for the game as the teens and King watch in shock. Luz quickly shields King from the impact. "We're gonna have a blast, everyone!"
As the platform in front of her hovers away and the group steps back. Willow looks back and immediately spots the portal door.
"I think there's a way out!" She exclaimed.
The others start to follow her, but Luz stops at the last minute and looks back, something that Amity notices. "Luz, come on!" Amity pleaded.
"Everyone….Eda, I-I can't just leave them!" Luz exclaimed in desperation.
"Luz, please!" Amity pleaded as tears began to fall from her eyes.
Eventually, Luz relents and everyone runs towards the portal. When Willow, Hunter and Gus reach the remnants of Belos, Hunter hesitates to step over it.
"Hunter!" Gus exclaimed.
"He's dead! You can't kill him!" Grime screamed.
Hunter eventually overcomes it and runs over the goo, however, unbeknownst to him and everyone else, a small drop of Belos' goo drips onto him. As the teens reach the flickering portal, Luz sees that it's about to collapse.
After waiting for a while, the light returns and Hunter opens the door. At first, it shows the in-between realm then cuts to the rain in the Human Realm.
"It's human rain." Marcy said. "It's okay." Hunter, Sasha, Grime, Marcy, Willow and Hunter run inside.
Amity runs forward but looks back at her girlfriend. "Luz?" Luz is activating plant glyphs and pulling them to keep the portal from falling apart. Though she has great difficulty holding them together. "Luz, what are you doing?" The desperate Amity asked as the door suddenly disconnects from the Human Realm but eventually returns as the others attempt to go back.
"I-I have to get Eda!" The desperate Luz exclaimed. "We'll find a way back to you!" The Collector, however, spots what is happening and turns to look. "Go! Go, go, go! I-I can't hold the portal much longer!" Then, King began to get dragged away from her and she attempts to grab onto him. "King!"
The Collector was now getting angry. "King! You promised you'd play with me! You…." He began to drag King by their pinky finger. "….pinky-swore!"
Luz and King struggle to hold on to each other as the latter starts to get pulled away.
Amity began to run towards them. "Luz!" She cried.
"Amity!" Sasha cried as she chased after her.
Luz was desperately trying to hold King but The Collector was too strong. "We gotta stick together. We gotta stick together!"
King contemplate for a while before tears began to fall from his eyes. "I'm sorry, not this time. But I can keep you safe."
Luz stared at King with tears dripping down her face. "No!"
"Luz, I'm so happy I had you as a big sister." He inhales deeply and uses his sonic shout, losing his grip to Luz and causing her, Amity, Sasha, Willow, Marcy, Grime, Gus and Hunter to get knocked into the portal and Human Realm altogether.
"No!" Luz tries to run back towards the door. "King!" She attempts to reach the portal, but the door closes on her just as she reaches it. She opens it, hoping the portal would activate again, only to find the empty room of the house in front of her. She tries it two more times unsuccessfully, as the others look on in shock. Luz turns around, just as Gus begins to break down crying.
Grime holds on to Gus in an effort to comfort him, but Gus began to hug him instead. Grime was surprised but returned the hug as he showed a lot of guilt on his face.
Marcy looked at Luz with a saddened look. "Did we win? Or did we lose?" Luz could only stare at everyone with an expression that was angry, sad and in disbelief which was all the response Marcy needed.
Meanwhile, inside the Noceda residence, Camila is in the kitchen cooking soup for a hungry Vee and Dipper, whom was repairing his arm with a screwdriver. Camila was reading an article on her tablet of the Frogvasion that happened a few weeks ago.
"What are they saying about the article?" Dipper asked.
"Just all about how Anne was using special effects to fight the puppet Andrias." Camila replied.
Vee was in disbelief. "How can you even fake that?"
Then, all three of them suddenly hear a knock on the door. Camila goes to open it, and gasps in shock to find the seven teens and toad looking disheveled out in the rain, as Luz looks up at her.
"Hey, Mom. I'm back." Luz said before she began to tear up.
