Dipper's journal, July first. Well, it finally happened. A dream I had when I was 12 years old, I am now dating the first girl I ever genuinely fell in love with. Wendy Corduroy. I don't believe it whatsoever. It's incredible. Every moment I have had with her so far is sensational. Yeah, our dates have only consisted of movie marathons, eating at BBQ diners and a workout date where we just spend time working out with each other. Yeah, she isn't into all the fancy stuff like Pacifica was. And no Mabel…If you're reading this entry, we have not done the deed! And no, I am not replacing Pacifica by any means. I'm just trying to move on and accept that she's gone by dating another pretty woman who happens to be bi and is a badass when it comes to monster hunting. Enough about Wendy, Hunter and Willow are still together even after the whole Halloween incident though they haven't even kissed yet. I mean, the odd cheek peck here and there, but no lip contact. I didn't have a problem with it, but Mabel of course she did, pried and Willow responded that a kiss on the lips might overwhelm him so she's taking it slow. Fair enough. Here are a few other adventures we had. Slender Man needed help with his family reunion since him and his brothers don't get along well. Like Splendor Man, Trender Man, Vender Man, Bender Man, Render Man and Sender Man. Well, one sibling didn't come because quite frankly he was disturbing according to Slender Man anyway. We also went paragliding while being chased by a mountain troll who also happened to know paragliding as well. Hunter broke his finger but thankfully he recovered quickly. Also, Hunter read a story about a monster named Barry who didn't really have that many friends and it ended up coming to life to try and take us into his story. Willow said it sounded similar to an adventure Luz had with Amity where they almost got sewn into a book. I'm trying to find the courage to still talk to Luz about what's going on with her. I'm just worried about her but I'm afraid I'll make things worse than they already were. Right now, we're at the Gravity Falls lake on the beach just trying to have a nice day. Plus, to cheer Mabel up from her latest break up. Plus, I feel like I'm forgetting something. Something important to Soos.
On the lake, Dipper was laying down on the beach trying to get a tan with his new girlfriend, Wendy. Mabel was trying to get some guy's attention by strutting around the beach in her bikini, Ford was investigating the lake for the Gobblewonker, Flapjack and Clover were watching their owners mess about, Stan was cooking up a barbecue while Willow and Hunter were in the lake splashing about.
Dipper was in what some might call heaven right now. Cause laying next to him right now, in her flannel bikini, was his new girlfriend, Wendy Corduroy and he couldn't be any happier right now. This woman was cool, strong and confident and his 12 year old self would most likely be jealous of him.
"What you staring at Pines?" Wendy asked her boyfriend flirtatiously.
Dipper stuttered and fumbled. "I…Was…I…I…I was…Well, I was looking at what Stan was….Cooking."
"They're Stan burgers!" Stan replied. "They're called that because I think some of my armpit hair might have gotten in there."
"That's…Very appetising Grunkle Stan." Dipper remarked sarcastically.
"Dipper, you can look at me." Wendy said. "I'm your girlfriend after all. Besides, I'm looking at a handsome hunk right now."
Wendy stroked her boyfriend's bare chest with her finger, causing his cheeks to turn red. "Wow…Handsome hunk. Didn't know…I was…Ya know…That hunky." He laughed nervously, still flustered about having Wendy as his girlfriend.
She took her hand in his and smiled. "Let's just shut up and bask in the sun for the next few hours. Or we can watch Mabel try and score with another guy."
"Let's see if it goes well." Dipper and Wendy sat up on their towels and began to watch Mabel trying to score a guy.
A group of guys were just walking to go and get a snack from the snack bar until they were stopped by Mabel. "Hey boys."
Instead of being attracted to it, they just walked past her. "Was that Miss Mabel?" One of the guys asked.
"Why is she wearing something like that?" Another guy asked.
"My niece watches her show, that's being a bad influence."
Mabel narrowed her eyes at the guys. "You know my persona is very different from the real me! Miss Mabel isn't just the only me!"
In the lake, Hunter and Willow were splashing about in the shallow area of the lake. Willow screamed as the water hit her in the face. "Ah! Hunter!" She splashed water in his direction, causing him to scream.
"Aahh! Willow!" Hunter screamed as some water got on him. But the water didn't just get Hunter, it also got Ford.
Ford shook the water that was dripping from his jacket and sighed. "Kids, I get you're having fun with each other, but couldn't you splash about somewhere else? I'm trying to find the Gobblewonker. And I don't think splashing about is gonna make it come up."
"You wanna tell that to the other patrons?" Hunter retorted before pointing to the other patrons whom were splashing about or resting on the beach.
"I did." Ford replied. "But I was getting some nasty looks from a life guard so I decided to demand people who'd actually listen. Speaking of people who'd actually listen, wasn't Willow behind you?"
Hunter looked behind him to see that his girlfriend wasn't there. "Huh? Willow? Where are you?" Suddenly, he felt like he was being lifted from under the water. Turns out, he was lifted by Willow, whom was being carried on her shoulders.
"Aaahhh!" Hunter screamed before being tossed in the water. He laughed as he resurfaced, floating on his back, laughing.
Willow swam towards him and began resting on his chest like he were some kind of float. Hunter smiled at how comforting this was despite the fact he was probably floating far away from the shore and into the unknown. But, at least he had Willow resting beside him to assure him that he was not alone.
He placed a hand on her head, stroked her beautiful black hair and adjusted her glasses all while still floating in the water. She looked at her boyfriend and kissed him on his bare chest, causing him to blush.
"This is relaxing." Willow said.
"Yeah." Hunter said. "But we should probably get back before we stray too far."
Willow shuffled close to Hunter's face and smiled. "No, I think I'd rather stay here for a little longer."
It was at that moment, Hunter realised how close his lips and Willow's lips were causing the two to become flustered. Then, the two began to lean in to try and share their first kiss. Then, they were interrupted by the sound of someone blowing a party horn which caused Willow to lose balance and to fall off Hunter.
Luckily, she resurfaced and got back on her boyfriend. "What in the name of Titan?!" They looked up and saw that they were twenty feet near a party boat.
And in that party boat were a bunch of people in their twenties dancing in their respective swimsuits while holding a bunch of coloured flags. Majority of them were rainbow coloured.
"What the?" Hunter reacted.
On the shore, Dipper and Wendy shot up from their respective beach towels, Mabel tripped as she was about to flirt with a dude, Ford dropped a scanning device, Waffles and Flapjack panicked while Stan accidentally pressed his arm on the grill.
"Ow! Ow! Ow! I think some more hair got into the burgers!" Stan screamed.
In that moment, everyone figured out what was going on. "July first! Oh man, I forgot this was happening!" Wendy exclaimed.
"Why is it that these people need to be loud?!" Stan exclaimed. "Some of us want to enjoy the serenity of the lake!"
Hunter and Willow arrived on shore looking panicked. "What's going on, on that boat?!" Willow exclaimed.
"Is there some sort of attack?!" Hunter exclaimed. "Are they recklessly trying to crash the boat?!"
Stan laughed. "Oh, I'd love to see that today." Wendy gave Stan a judgemental glare, something he noticed. "What?! They're reckless and they'd crash. It would be hilarious."
"Okay, disregarding what Stan said, it's Pride month." Wendy replied.
"Huh, what?" Hunter and Willow responded.
"You don't know what Pride month is?" Wendy asked.
"I'm pretty sure Luz was telling you about it at Anne's birthday." Dipper said.
"We were listening, but then Anne had a panic attack about my birthday presents." Hunter reminded him.
"Oh yeah, that's right." Dipper said. "Okay. I guess I can explain what Pride month means…"
"Ahhh!" Wendy screamed. "The parade float! Oh crap! I forgot we were meant to help Soos decorate the Pride parade float!"
Mabel panicked. "Oh no! How could I forget?!"
"Can someone explain what's going on?!" Hunter exclaimed.
"Get your clothes on!" Wendy commanded. "We got a boss who needs a parade float!"
"Can I stay here and wait until the boat crashes?" Stan asked.
"No." Wendy replied. "You're the one driving."
"Fair enough!"
"Could I at least stay here and find the Gobblewonker?!" Ford asked.
"Ford, you need to do this with me!" Stan argued.
"Stanley, a celebration of life is less important than science." Ford argued. "Unless it's someone's birthday then I'll…"
"Get in the car Sixer!" Stan interjected.
And so, everyone got dressed in their clothes and were now in the car which was being driven by Stan. Ford sat in the front trying to make sure his brother didn't kill anyone while everyone else was in the back smushed up against each other.
"Stanley! This is unsafe!" Ford protested.
"Sixer, I have committed hundreds of road safety offences for years!" Stan argued. "Why should I stop?!" He continued to drive like a maniac, causing everyone in the back a lot of worry.
Dipper and Wendy's cheeks were smushed together and their hands were close to touching the more sensitive parts of the body. Their cheeks were growing a strong shade of red.
Willow and Hunter were close together, cheeks smushed together like Dipper and Wendy's. But the fact they were really close weren't on their minds right now, it was whatever was Pride Month.
"I can't believe I put my focus on boys again instead of Soos' parade!" Mabel exclaimed. "I mean, it's Pride month. The most colourful month every year!"
"Mabel, what's Pride month?!" Hunter asked.
"A month that celebrates the lives of LGBTQ people!" Mabel exclaimed.
"The who?!" Hunter and Willow asked.
"Look, I'll tell you better, I'm more focused on surging this car…Car!" Mabel screamed.
"Relax, sweetie!" Stan said before he swerved the car to the left, driving it through the forest. He drove it through bushes, traffic cones that were there for some reason, a deer that he almost killed, a woman with frizzy brown hair who suddenly vanished into thin air and a gnome. "Schmebulock!"
After a few more minutes, Stan landed the car in front of the shack where Soos appeared to be waiting for them while sitting on a bench.
"Okay kids, we're here!" Stan got out of the car completely unphased by the trauma he might have caused everyone.
But everyone else was in complete shock and relief that they had managed to somehow, luckily survived. Hunter was the first to bolt out the car as he felt his cheeks swell up with vomit.
His girlfriend followed him behind and began to pat his back so he could get the remaining throw up out of his system.
Mabel got out next and fell face first on the ground. "Ow!"
Dipper and Wendy exited the car next and began to stumble towards Soos, who appeared to have his leg covered in a blanket. "Hey dudes. Did you forget we were supposed to be making the parade float today?"
Dipper and Wendy gave Soos guilty looks. "Soos, we are so, so sorry!"
"Yeah, we wanted to spend time at the beach but there was this boat and…"
"Dudes, don't explain." Soos interjected, Dipper. "Everything's cool. I would have done it myself."
"Then, why aren't you?" Wendy asked.
"I broke my leg." Soos replied as he pointed to his leg which he removed the blanket off of to reveal it to be purple which caused Dipper and Wendy to scream.
"How did you do it?" Dipper asked.
"I dropped my hammer on my toes, fell down the stairs, crashed through the wall where the vending machine broken my foot.
"Wait! Vending machine?!" Ford exclaimed. "The lab!" Ford jumped out the car and ran towards the Shack to get people out of the lab.
"Soos, that leg looks terrible." Wendy said. "I think you need a hospital."
"Nah dudes, I'll be fine." Soos assured them. "It only…." He touched his foot causing him to scream. "…Yeah, you might want to call the doctors."
Meanwhile, Hunter coughed up what remained of his vomit while Willow patted his back. "There. There. There. There."
"Thanks, Willow." Hunter gave his girlfriend an appreciative smile. They then heard the trunk shake and then Flapjack and Clover stumbled out, feeling dizzy due to Stan's reckless driving.
Stan turned the Palismen with an unimpressed look. "You wusses. It wasn't that bad."
Hunter and Willow then approached Stan. "Stan." Hunter said.
"Oh hey love birds." Stan greeted them. "What's happening?"
"Stan, we just want to know what does LGBTQ mean?" Willow asked.
"Is it some sort of code?" Hunter asked.
"No it's short for something." Stan replied. "Though I don't know what it means. But it has something to do with those people who aren't out of the closet."
Hunter and Willow looked baffled. "People who aren't out of the closet?"
"For a period of time, humans are trapped in a closet?" Hunter asked.
"It's a metaphor." Stan replied. "It's more of a…Inner closet. In your mind." But Hunter and Willow seemed confused. "And people during this time like to come out to tell their parents." But they seemed confused. "Why don't you ask that one friend of yours? Ya know, the purple haired one. What was her name? Look, I'm not the kind of person to explain this stuff. I have to help Soos with the parade float. Because I have to do a good deed once in a while." Stan walked away to help Soos with the parade float leaving Hunter and Willow confused.
"A celebration of people trapped in the closet?" Willow asked.
"Humans have odd celebrations." Hunter remarked.
"It is odd, but this is humans we are talking about." Willow reminded him. "They put metal in their teeth after all."
"That's true." Hunter said. "So, how do we celebrate this month of the LGBTQ people who are trapped in their closet?"
"You want to celebrate it?" Willow asked.
Hunter shrugged his shoulders. "I mean….I want to understand it. So…I think celebrating it is what we do. If you want to do it with me, that is."
Willow thought about it for a moment before smiling. "Okay, I'll do it. What did you have in mind?"
"Since this is about closeted people, I just know what to do."
About thirty minutes later, Hunter and Willow were in the closet of their bedroom with a bunch of food such as the sugary snacks and fruit, clean pair of clothes, cleaning equipment and a five bottles of two litre water.
"We stay in the closet until this Pride month ends." Hunter replied.
"Why us?" Willow asked. "We're not trapped in a closet."
"No, but I want to be able to empathise with these poor people who can't seem to get out of the closet." Hunter explained. "According to the calendar, Gravity Falls Pride month doesn't end until August first. So we're gonna be stuck in the closet for over thirty days."
"That seems….Very weird." Willow said.
"Not to worry, I calculated the amount of food we'll need, the amount of cleaning equipment and all the clothes we will need."
Willow looked skeptical about this. "It's insane that humans come up with this stuff."
Hunter sat down next to Willow. "But we'll be fine. And if we're bored, we can read Cosmic Frontier together."
Willow grinned as she took his hand. "Good. Least it won't get boring."
The two began to stare at each other lovingly and began to slowly lean in an attempt to kiss, but that was interrupted by Flapjack who began tweeting.
"Flapjack!" Willow exclaimed.
Flapjack tweeted, making Hunter laugh. "No Flapjack! We're not going there!" They laughed for a little longer before they settled in to begin their 30 day closet entrapment.
An hour had passed and outside the Shack, Dipper and Wendy were currently painting the parade float which had a giant rainbow and a bunch of flags on the side of some metal bars, stairs that led to a platform and a giant stereo. Plus, there was a car underneath for the driver to drive.
Inside the vehicle were Stan and Ford whom were waiting for the signal to go. Stan was sweating due to the how hot the car was while Ford seemed relatively calm.
"Uh!" Stan groaned. "It's so hot!"
"You can just wait outside the car." Ford said.
"No! I need to keep an eye on you to make sure you don't damage this vehicle!" Stan argued. "You know it's not yours, Sixer!"
"I'm driving it because you caused those Palismen to be traumatised." Ford said. "So….I'm keeping an eye on the vehicle."
"Uh!" Stan began to stretch his collar. "I regret not getting the AC fixed."
"You can leave."
"I won't!" Stan argued.
"Well, you gotta find a way to cool yourself, Stan." Ford retorted. "So, I think you should leave." But instead, Stan narrowed his eyes at his brother and began to take off his shoes and socks. "Stanley, what are you doing?"
Stan grinned as he took off his shirt. "You said I should cool off, so I am cooling off." He then began to take off his pants which Ford didn't really care about his brother in the nude. Which was something that annoyed his brother. "Ford! I'm cooling off by being naked!" Ford shrugged his shoulders and just began reading a newspaper that was telling an article of a supposed ex-president from the 1800's roaming about Los Angeles, which caused Stan to become annoyed. He huffed and crossed his sweaty arms together. "This is stupid."
Outside the car and float, Wendy was putting the finishing touches by pulling on a rope to pull a wooden pride flag on the balcony. She was currently not wearing a shirt, exposing her sweaty muscles, abs and her bi flag tattoo on her shoulder.
Dipper and Mabel were not far just painting the float in the colour of the rainbows with Mabel being hyper focused on getting the colour but Dipper was more focused on his girlfriend.
He was currently blushing at the sight of his girlfriend lifting the heavy material with her muscular and sweaty arms. He couldn't believe that his new girlfriend would be so buff. He was buff, sure, but she was like a rare Manotaur. A female Manotaur.
"Dipper!" Mabel nudged her brother's shoulder. "Focus! You're gonna paint orange at the bottom instead of indigo."
"Sorry." Dipper said as he did his best to not stare at his girlfriend.
Mabel grinned. "Ah! Don't worry! She is your girlfriend after all. Though your paper clones SHOULD GET THE MESSAGE!"
The Dipper paper clones popped out from a nearby bush. "We are not watching Wendy!" Number three yelled.
"Yeah! We're just narrowing our eyes at our original self for getting Wendy!" Number four responded while number three made a glance towards Wendy.
"Number four, Wendy is buff now!" Number three said told number four.
Number four's eyes went wide. "Oh…My…God! She is buff!" Their cheeks turned red and they began to stutter.
"Let's run before she spots us!" The paper clones ran away.
"I did!" Wendy yelled out to them.
"Dang it!" The Dipper clones exclaimed.
Once the Dipper clones were out of the way, Wendy grabbed a bottle of water and began to press the bottle on her head and her muscles, causing Dipper to blush. She then pressed the bottle of her shoulders, even the one where the Bi tattoo was.
The bi tattoo on his girlfriend's shoulder began to make Dipper think about the night his previous girlfriend came out to him.
Dipper, aged 17 walked into the shack late at night laughing. "Oh boy. That was crazy."
Wendy followed him from behind kissing some random guy with blue hair. "Oh, Terri! Is it Terri with an I or a Y?"
"It's Terry with a Y." Terry replied. "I have a sister called Terri with an I who lives in California. Our parents divorced and…"
"Shut up Terry with a Y." Wendy said before she continued to kiss him and then looked around the shack. "Wait, is this my place?"
"Yes, because last I checked, your hut had a cash register and an ancient pet in the corner." Dipper retorted sarcastically while pointing to his Grunkle, whom was once again, pantsless.
"Huh? What?" Stan asked by the vending machine.
"Oh yeah." Wendy said with realisation. "Okay. I'm going. See you tomorrow, Dipper. Me and Terry with a Y are gonna have breakfast in the morning." She and Terry with a Y left.
Stan looked at Dipper with an eyebrow raised. "So, where were you all night?"
"At that Pride party with Wendy." Dipper replied. "She needed help to find a date. By the way, why is Pride month in July in Gravity Falls?"
"Oh, that's so we can make room for Summerween in June." Stan replied. "Yeah. I think people love Summerween more than Pride month. Even the people who celebrate Pride month." He groaned. "I am slowly realising I could have made money off of this event. Anyway, I'm gonna sleep and make fun of award bait romance movies." Stan walked away to enjoy his night while Dipper stood aside.
Dipper shook his head at his Grunkle as he decided to get a snack from the vending machine. But then, he felt Mabel tapping him on his shoulder looking serious.
"Mabel? Why do you look serious?" Dipper asked.
"Dipper, Pacifica has something important she needs to talk to you about." Mabel said.
In that moment, Dipper looked worried. "Oh…Right." He appeared he was about to cry.
Mabel immediately had to defuse the situation. "Dipper! No! She is not breaking up with you. But depending on your reaction…."
Dipper sighed and pulled a serious look. "What is it?"
"She says you might break up with her because of her secret."
Dipper sighed. "I'll decide."
"I've got the tissues ready!" Stan yelled from the living room. "They were there for me when I was crying with laughter but if it's for genuine sadness then do your best to avoid the mucus."
A disgusted Dipper walked in to chat with his 18 year old girlfriend, whom was sitting by the kitchen table looking worried.
Dipper knew to be prepared for what horrible secret his girlfriend will tell him but he knew he should be a little sincere and gentle with her.
He sat down next to her and took her hand to give her assurance. "Hey."
She took a glance at her boyfriend. "Hey."
Dipper gave her a gentle smile. "Mabel says you have something important you need to tell me. Is it okay if I ask?"
"Go ahead."
"What do you want to tell me?" Dipper asked.
Pacifica was nervous. "I…I…Well…It doesn't matter! I shouldn't do this!" She was about to walk away but Dipper just gently took her wrist.
"Paz, look, whatever you tell, it won't change how I feel about you."
"Dipper…"
"Pacifica, look into my eyes." Dipper said. "Do I look like I'd hate you?"
Pacifica began to look into Dipper's eyes for any sign of a lie. But from what she was seeing, there wasn't any sign.
So, she sat back down on the chair and exhaled as she was ready to tell her boyfriend what had been going on in her mind.
"Dipper…You know how I'm attracted to you, right?"
"Well, we are dating." Dipper retorted.
"And I'm attracted to you because you happen to be male."
Dipper raised an eyebrow. "Uh….Okay. Yeah. I am male. What are you trying to say?"
"Well…..I am 50% attracted to men." Pacifica explained nervously which made Dipper raise his eyebrows as he was putting the pieces as to what his girlfriend was trying to say. "But…I am also 50% attracted to women. Dipper….I'm bisexual."
When she said those words, it was like she confessed to a murder. She felt scared and ashamed of being bisexual especially since she didn't know how her boyfriend would react. But she unfortunately expected the worst.
But instead, Dipper shrugged his shoulders. "So? My best friend is bisexual. Why would I feel indifferent towards you?"
Pacifica was surprised by how well her boyfriend was taking it yet underwhelmed that he didn't have that much of a bigger reaction to it. "Because…I'm your girlfriend and….I was afraid of how you'd feel if I was also attracted to women. Yet, you seem indifferent about it! Are you imagining me making out with women?! Are you still willing to date me for some sort of sexy fantasy?!"
"Woah! Woah! Woah!" Dipper interjected. "No! It's not like that at all! I don't care that you're bisexual, I still love you!"
Pacifica froze in surprise. "What?"
"Look Pacifica, the fact that you are attracted to both men and women doesn't bother me in the slightest." Dipper assured his girlfriend as he got off his chair and began to cuddle his girlfriend. "I still feel the same about you regardless of the fact. You're beautiful, you're amazing, you're funny and you're so cool." Tears began to fall from her eyes as she was comforted by his words. "But, thank you for coming out to me. It must have taken a lot of courage for you to do this and I'm so proud of you."
Pacifica began to sob at how supportive her boyfriend was and began to hug him. She probably expected him to have a negative reaction but she was grateful that it was one that showed him how much he loved her. "Thank you for understanding!" She and him shared a passionate kiss on the lips.
Mabel was standing in the doorway with an excited smile. "Awww!"
Dipper and Pacifica pulled out of the kiss. "Mabel! Were you watching us?!"
"I wanted to be your emotional supports in case things went sideways!" Mabel argued. "But my brother having a bi girlfriend…"
"Mabel, it's not a big deal." Pacifica protested. "I mean, yes I'm attracted to men and women but it's not a big deal so please don't make it a big deal."
"Right." Mabel said with a smile.
But Pacifica wasn't buying the smile and gave her boyfriend's sister a glare. "Mabel! No! I know that look! Don't make it a big deal!"
"I won't…." Mabel began to walk away backwards with a suspicious smile that made Dipper sigh.
"Dipper, if she throws a coming out party for me…"
"I'll kill her for you." Dipper said.
As soon as the flashback ended, Dipper stared at the ground sadly as he remembered Pacifica. Sure he loved being around Wendy but there was this part of him that felt guilty for some reason. Yeah, he was moving on but he felt that Pacifica was judging him.
Wendy approached her boyfriend with a grin on her face. "Were you staring at me again, Pines?"
Dipper became flustered. "Oh! Well….I….I…Well….I…I…Well….I…"
"Quit stuttering Pines." She wrapped her sweaty muscular arms around her boyfriend's shoulder, causing him to blush some more. "Hey, you got something on your lips."
"Huh, what?" Before Dipper could respond, he felt a pair of lips smash against his own. He was always surprised whenever his girlfriend kiss him on the lips but he always did return it. He wrapped his arms around his girlfriend's bare back, feeling up every muscle she had in her veins.
Their lips disconnected and Mabel gagged. "Okay you two, are you gonna get a room?!"
"Might save it on his birthday." Wendy nudged his shoulder while winking.
Dipper laughed and then went red in the face. "Wait, what?"
"Hang on, Dipper, where are Hunter and Willow?" Wendy asked as she put her her tank top on. "Shouldn't they be helping as well?"
Ford poked his head out of the float. "Oh Hunter and Willow have gone upstairs to empathise with the people who haven't come out to the closet. Though, I don't know how since I don't know if there is anyone here who is closeted. Though, they took an awful lot of snacks and food to last time for a whole month."
Dipper, Wendy and Mabel began to think about what that implied. That was when they figured it out. "Oh! Oh!"
"Oh man, they misunderstood it." Wendy said.
"So they're trapped in the closet?" Mabel asked.
"No, more like willingly locking themselves in the closet." Dipper said.
Wendy sighed. "I'll get them. Someone has to explain this." She walked into the Shack to get Hunter and Willow while everyone stayed back.
Once she left, Dipper whiffed the air and gagged. "What is that awful smell?!"
Then, a pair of dirty underpants hit Ford in the head. "Thought I knew that stench!" Stan said.
Dipper and Mabel gave each other some concerned looks and then gagged. "Eww! Grunkle Stan!"
"What?! It's like 200 degrees!" Stan argued.
Back inside the closet, Hunter and Willow were feasting on a can of baked beans that Willow had heated up thanks to her magic. They had been like this for an hour and yeah…They were sweating but they had no regrets.
"You sure we can survive on a bunch of canned food?" Willow asked.
"I checked Ford's apocalypse bunker and yeah…Appears so." He replied. "A lot of canned food seems to contain the right sustenance."
"Yeah." Willow agreed. "But how will it keep you alive during the end of the world? You'll just run out."
"Yeah. But good thing we have all the cans to last us a month." Hunter said. "That's 90 cans all together for a three course meal." Hunter stuffed some beans into his mouth which caused some of the sauce to get on his lip.
Willow chuckled at Hunter. "You got a bit of sauce on your lips." Hunter was about to lick it off but Willow raised her hand. "No. Let me clean it off of you." She crawled towards Hunter with a smile on her face and summoned a napkin.
"I'm not a baby." Hunter argued while laughing. "I can do this."
"Just hold still!" Willow argued before she slowly wiped the sauce off of Hunter's face causing him to blush.
Then, the two teens in love realised how close they were and began to stare at each other. In that moment, they slowly began to lean forward with their lips coming in close.
But their moment was interrupted when someone opened the closet. This caused them to scream and for Hunter to get into defence position and for Willow to summon some vines from the floor. The person who opened the door turned out to be Wendy.
"You two." Wendy said. "What the hell are you doing in the closet?" She took a can of tinned meat and analysed it. "And why do you have a month supply of tinned meat? I have an idea, I just want your reason."
"This is what humans do during Pride month." Hunter said.
"Yeah. You celebrate the people who can't come out of the closet."
"So, me and Willow decided to empathise with these people by staying in the closet for a whole month." Hunter replied.
In that moment, Wendy sighed. "Oh boy. I have to explain this."
Outside the Shack, Dipper and Mabel were adding the finishing touches to a giant sigh that read 'Happy Pride Month, Gravity Falls!' They were painting the colours of the rainbow and had been for the last one hour.
Chyro was in the car inside the float keeping Stan cool with a built in AC.
"Ah, this is nice." Stan remarked.
Ford sighed since his brother still didn't have his clothes on. "Stanley, couldn't you put your clothes on at least?"
"Sorry Ford." Stan said as he got into a relaxed position. "But these back hairs were cooking and now they need some cooling. Take it lower, Chyro." Chyro did as he was told and did just that, causing Stan to moan. "Oh yeah."
The uncomfortable Ford did his best to ignore it by reading the newspaper, but it was fruitless.
Back outside, Mabel had noticed that Wendy was taking a while. "Wow, Wendy is taking a while to explain this whole thing to the kids." Mabel remarked.
"Well, they come from a realm where there are plenty of witches who are LGBTQ but the concept is clearly unfamiliar to them." Dipper said.
"Ohhh boy, that's gonna take some time." Mabel remarked. "I mean, there are so many to explain and a lot of them are so complicated."
"Hmm." Dipper responded as he was still thinking about his relationship with Wendy. But he didn't want to look like a downer to Mabel so he changed topic. "So, think you might catch any cute guys at the Pride parade."
Mabel gave a confident grin. "Dipper, there will be cute guys at the pride festival. A lot of buff muscular men without their shirts." Mabel licked her lips. "Oh yeah. Bed and breakfast in the morning."
"Mabel, I hate to be a downer but what if most of them…Ya know, have boyfriends or don't find people like you attractive?"
"But…There are the single ones who work both ways." Mabel reminded her brother. "And you know what, the next man who appears will be my target of affection."
"That's not gonna happen." Dipper said to his sister.
And out from the bush was Slender Man who was dusting some dirt off his suit. "Oh man. I've worn this suit since 1666 and I already have it dirty for the first time. Oh man!"
Mabel groaned. "Slender Man?!"
Dipper laughed. "Ha! That never ever works!"
"You needed help with something?" Slender Man asked. "I just needed something to do to avoid Splendor Man. He gets very sensitive."
"Yeah, just help the sign on the float." Dipper said.
"Yup." Slender Man summoned the tentacles from his back and lifted the sign up but then it shattered when he lifted it in the air. He sunk his head in shame. "Oh man! My brother Lender Man told me I was the weakest of the group."
Upstairs, Wendy had just finished explaining everything about everything LGBTQ to Hunter and Willow whom were sitting on their respective beds. "Okay…That is everything I know about Pride month and the LGBTQ community. What do you have to say?"
Hunter and Willow had stacks of notes scattered around them with the two looking tense and intrigued. "So, coming out the closet is a phrase to people who haven't told anyone they're queer?" Hunter asked.
"That's correct." Wendy said.
"Yes."
"And there are many sexualities?" Willow asked.
"Yes."
"Why does a definition of happy also the definition of a man attracted to men?"
Wendy sighed. "I don't know."
"Also, what do brownies have to do with being queer?" Hunter asked.
Wendy knew that those were questions she couldn't answer so she had to come up with an excuse. "Oh huh?! Coming Dipper!" She ran out of the room while Hunter and Willow stayed behind to think about their session.
"Well, that was educational." Willow remarked.
"Yeah. They have words for absolutely everything we don't." Hunter remarked. "You know that session got me thinking, Willow."
"What?" Willow asked.
"What if we're…Ya know, queer." Hunter said. "I mean, I got nothing against being the idea or treating it like a bad thing, just what if we are?"
"Would that be a problem?" Willow asked.
"I don't know." Hunter replied. "Learning about this, have you ever felt like one of those things Wendy told us. Ya know, like bisexual, queer or lesbian?"
Willow began to ponder. "I don't know. My attractions were just like 'Whatever.'
"Care to explain?" Hunter asked.
"It's like…I honestly don't care who I'm attracted to." Willow explained. "I mean, I think you're attractive, Hunter and I'm lucky that you're my boyfriend. But….I don't care about the fact that you're a boy, I like you the way you are. Maybe I am…Pansexual."
Hunter gave Willow a smile. "And that's fine by me."
"What about you?" Willow asked.
"Me?" He began to ponder. "Well…I am attracted to girls but one time when I was in the castle, I saw this really buff member of the Coven scouts. Male, in case you were wondering. And….I don't know…I couldn't stop staring at him. I was blushing. I guess that I am attracted to girls and guys. I'm bisexual. Just like…." He then sighed as he remembered something about the closest person he knew. "…Pacifica." This made him frown as he thought back to when he tried to kill himself and Pacifica saving him. Her comforting words and telling him how she found her true self. One of them was her telling him that she was bisexual.
Willow noticed how sad Hunter was and got off her bed and moved to his to give him some comfort. "Hey, you feeling okay?"
"Sorry, I was just remembering Pacifica." Hunter sighed. "I guess me and her were made dor each other." He began to sweat once he realised he might have used the wrong wording. "I meant, in a sibling perspective….not in a boyfriend/girlfriend perspective….because….I'm with you…." Willow held Hunter's hand to calm him down and gave him a smile.
"Hey. I wish I knew her more." Willow said. "I see that she meant so much to you."
"Yeah, she did." It had been nearly five months and he still missed her. He can still remember seeing her corpse on the Titan's nostril, lifeless and dead.
"Hey guys! The parade float is ready!" Wendy cried from downstairs.
Willow gave Hunter a smile. "Come on. Let's go celebrate."
"Yeah, let's." Hunter said as he held on to his girlfriend's hand to join the parade.
The parade was taking place in downtown Gravity Falls where a lot of its residents were cheering for passing parade floats. The float designed by Bud Gleeful had a rainbow coloured logo of his company.
"Now I didn't make money off of this event, I have no idea!" Bud exclaimed. "You get a free car! You get a free car! And you get a free car!"
"I already have a car!" One of the people in attendance yelled.
"Oh! Well you got a second one! Free of charge!"
The next parade float was one of a rainbow coloured tree and a rainbow coloured Slender Man wearing a coloured rainbow suit, dancing. "That's right! It is Splendor Man! Making a public appearance!"
"Hey, is that a rainbow coloured Slender Man?!" One of the attendees shouted.
"Uh! He is so desperate for attention!" A cynical attendee exclaimed.
Splendor Man stopped dancing and hug his head in shame. "Every year."
The next float was the mystery shack float which had a giant cardboard rainbow, a giant sign that read 'Happy Pride Month, Gravity Falls!' and a rainbow mystery shack.
Mabel was on top of the stairs wearing a straight ally sweater while blowing kisses to cute guys in the audience, Dipper was waving awkwardly while Wendy was dancing around him showing off her bisexual tattoo while Hunter and Willow were dancing together each wearing face paint of their orientation.
In the audience, Slender Man was watching his brother whom was narrowing his non existent eyes at him causing him some annoyance. "What?! It's not my fault I'm popular!"
"This is why I can't come to Pride parades!"
"Then why come?!"
"I love the music!" Splendor Man argued.
Back on the Gravity Falls parade float, Wendy managed to get her boyfriend to dance with her. Though he was doing it poorly like he had never danced before.
She wrapped her arms around him and pulled him in for a kiss that he returned. But he did open his eyes and just thought about Pacifica, feeling a tad guilty. But he stopped and closed his eyes again to show his girlfriend some love.
Then, Hunter and Willow saw what Dipper and Wendy were doing and began to blush. They realised that they had never shared a kiss before in their time together.
In that moment, they shrugged their shoulder and wrapped their arms around each other. They were nervous and unsure. Hunter looked to Willow for some kind of permission but Willow was persistent and gave her boyfriend a nod.
The two closed their eyes, leaned in and kissed each other on the lips. The two blushed while they kissed for the very first time and blocked out all the noise that was going on around them. Which also included Slender Man getting into a fight with his brother.
