One night ago.
At the Titans Skull, two of the Core's robots were flying towards the Collector's castle. They landed on the platform and began scanning it for anything. So far they were in the main corridor that lead to the stairs that went up.
One of the robots tapped some buttons on their wrist and contacted a holographic projection of Yohan who looked like to be climbing.
"We have entered the location." The robot said.
"Excellent." Yohan said. "You know what to do."
The robot turned off his device and looked up to see a bright flashing light. The Collector was descending down and smiling at his visitors.
"Hi there!" They exclaimed. "Wanna play?!"
The robots cocked their weapons and aimed them at The Collector. "Target acquired." They began blasting the space imp, who managed to dodge their blasts by teleporting behind them.
He scowled at the intruders. "You're not being very nice!" They snapped their fingers, causing the robots to shatter. Their heads were the last to fall on the floor which landed with a loud thud.
The Collector exhaled. "Boy, my toys have gotten a tad meaner." He flew back to the small moon where two beds were rested. There, sitting up while rubbing his arm, was King.
"What's going on?" King asked before the Collector tossed the head of one of the robots right beside King.
"Just some meanies who didn't wanna play." They replied. "I'd like to talk more but, I'm a little sleepy." He yawned before wrapping themselves in their quilt. "Good night, King."
King stared at the head with worry. "Good night, Collector."
One day later
Luz was laying in a pool of darkish, light water that was glowing. She opens her eyes, realizing she is in the In Between Realm. She stands up and looks around, confused by her surroundings. "Huh?" As she walked, she accidentally tapped her foot on something.
It was the corpse of General Yohan, whom was now rotting in his armour. "Gross!" Then she looked down and saw a decaying hand. Not just any decaying hand, Dipper's hand. "Uh."
She then looks up and notices a figure walking far above her. The figure kind of looked similar to King only bigger and plumper. The figure pants, then stops to catch their breath. The figure then continues walking, notices Luz, and waves at her. Luz raises her hand, with a puzzled look on her face.
Then, another figure arrives. This one appeared to be very lean and had spiky hair. "It's time." It whispered.
She squinted her eyes to look at the figure and her eyes widened when she saw what they looked like. "K?"
But before she could comprehend, she is then suddenly pulled downwards into the water. Over at the Demon Realm, Amity successfully pulls Luz out from the portal, causing them both to fall backwards.
Dipper, Willow, Anne, Sasha, Amity, Marcy, Grime, Camila, and Gus look with a worried expressions on their faces.
"Luz!" Amity exclaimed as the portal closed.
"Luz, how many eyes do I have?" Grime asked.
"Give her space! Vamonos!" Camila commanded.
Luz slowly sat up and grabbed her head. "You were in there for so long, w-we thought you got stuck behind!" Amity exclaimed with worry. "Are you... hurt anywhere?" She holds her chin.
"I'm…I'm fine." Luz replied.
Luz pulls herself up and turns to notice Hunter looking sad before turning back to the group. "What happened?" Sasha asked.
"Did you see something in there?" Dipper asked.
"I found your hand." Luz said. "It looked really bad."
"How bad?" Dipper asked.
"Hey, a decaying hand!" Marcy picked up Dipper's hand, causing Anne and Sasha to gag. "And it looks like yours Dipper."
"Marcy, I don't think that's sanitary." Camila said.
"Was there anything else?" Dipper asked as he gagged at the sight of his hand.
"I... saw something or... someone." Luz said. "And I think I saw K."
"He must be a decaying corpse by now." Sasha said.
"Most likely." Marcy said. "Actually, his body should be quite mangled after what he did." Hunter groaned.
"But it was probably just in my head." Luz said as she stood up. "Any sign of... him?"
Hunter groaned. "Oh, come on! It's not like a swarm of ghosts will inexplicably appear if you say his name! ...I think. Anyway, if Belos-"
"GHOST!" Grime's scream caused everyone to be startled before laughing. "Oh! That was funny!"
"Grime! What the hell?!" Anne exclaimed.
"What?! Can't I have a joke?" Grime asked. "A lot of intense stuff has happened and I feel we need some lightheartedness."
Hunter narrowed his eyes at Grime. "Don't. Just don't."
"Yeah, Grime don't make it worse." Luz said as she narrowed her eyes at him. "You've done enough." Grime felt his stomach sink as Luz narrowed her eyes. He knew that her forgiveness wasn't earned.
"Wherever Belos is, he's probably long gone." Dipper said.
"Well, he better stay out of our way." Camila began hitting her bat with her hand. "This mama's hungry for vengeance."
"That's a fight I'd watch!" Gus exclaimed.
"Hispanic Mama or genocidal maniac?" Anne asked. "What are your bets?"
"Twelve on Camila." Sasha said.
"Eh, Belos would probably win no offence." Marcy said.
"Alright guys, we gotta go." Luz said. "Anne, Dipper, Mom, since you three are unfamiliar to the Demon Realm, stick close. And Marcy, throw that hand away. It's not gonna help us."
"Actually, we have some scientists on the Boiling Isles that could sew that back on." Willow said. "And reverse the decay as well."
Dipper had no idea what to say. "Hmm, I've been getting used to this hand but…Okay then. Let's go."
A while later, Dipper, Anne and Camila were walking through the Demon Realm with amazed expressions.
"This place…I see why Luz would want to stay here." Camila said. "But to leave."
"Wait?!" Anne exclaimed. "She wants to leave this?"
"I saw her filming the video." Dipper said. "She thinks she is responsible for everything and just wants to make herself miserable. She can't leave the Demon Realm, no matter what. Camila you gotta stop her."
Camila sighed. "I'll do my best."
"You know what, she needs to come back here!" Anne exclaimed. "She can't leave this! She's got friends, a second family, a girlfriend, she has a chance to return here." Anne briefly had tears that she quickly wiped away. "Compared to me." She looked at the ground sadly as she remembered that she'll never see the Plantars again. "But you know what? This place is beautiful!" Anne shouted to get Luz to hear it. "I surely would have loved to have been teleported to here when I opened the box! No offence to the Plantars and Amphibia but this place is stunning!" Then a swarm of fairies began to swarm her. "Aww! Beautiful fairies!" Then the fairies latched their teeth onto Anne and began biting her. "AHHHH!" Anne fell. "I hate this place! I hate this place!"
"Ay!" Camila cried as she pulled out her bat to help Anne out.
Dipper pulled his blaster out and tried shooting the fairies off of her but he couldn't because he didn't want to hurt Anne.
"I got it!" Marcy tossed Dipper's hand into a bush. "Hey, uglies! Meat is back on the menu!"
The fairies flew into the bush while Dipper reached his hand out to stop them but was too late as the fairies went to eat it.
Marcy realised her mistake and cringed. "Maybe they don't like decaying meat?"
"Actually, fairies go crazy over that." Gus said before the sound of fairies tearing into rotten flesh was heard. "But the Boiling Island scientists can still grow your hand back even with just a bone."
"Great!" Marcy exclaimed.
"Actually, fairies go crazy over bone as well." Gus said before the sound of fairies devouring bones is heard.
Marcy cringed. "Sorry Dipper."
The author sighed and pinched the bridge on his nose with his finger. "Uhhhh!"
Anne sat up and she was covered in bite marks all over her body. "Ow!" She saw Luz in front of her and gave a smile. "Still an amazing place!" Luz turned around and continued to walk.
"There was a grin!" Marcy exclaimed with a smile.
Camila sighed. "I doubt it."
Meanwhile, Willow, Grime and Sasha poked their heads out of a tree while Hunter walked behind them.
"Coast is clear." Grime said.
Willow then noticed some red grass and squealed. "Oh, hello, red grass! I've missed you!" She began whispering to them. "I can't talk for long, we're on a mission to save the Boiling Isles."
Behind her, Gus makes an illusion of the red grass fairies coming to life. "Yay, WIllow's back!" They cry.
The fairies hug Willow, causing her to laugh in excitement. Hunter sees his girlfriend smiling and smiles, but a chirping sound grabs his attention which reminds him of Flapjack, and he immediately looks above. On a tree branch nearby, a red bird can be seen cleaning its feathers. It then takes out its head and flies away.
Dipper walked up and began studying the bird in his journal. "Huh, a red cardinal. I wonder if they come from the Demon Realm just like giraffes."
Hunter looks at Gus looking at Willow playing with the fairies happily, with Amity, Anne, Marcy, Camila, and Luz walking towards them. Hunter becomes irritated and groans.
"We don't have time for 'red grass' or... i-illusions!" He then smacks the journal out of Dipper's hand. "Or documenting!" He began striding. "Belos has a head start, so we should keep moving until we find him!"
Dipper was shocked by Hunter's outburst and picked up his journal. "Hunter!" He ran up to the boy.
Gus and Willow watch as Hunter walks away with a dejected looks on their faces. Gus uses a spell circle to make his illusions disappear. Willow notices Gus becoming gloomy and tries to cheer him up.
"Don't worry! I bet we'll all feel better when we punch Belos right through the face. And yes, I mean THROUGH the face!" Willow cracked her knuckles.
Gus laughed. "Thanks, Willow. You're always looking out for us, aren't ya?"
Willow smiles. "It's what I'm good at. And it looks like my work is done." She summoned a vine and begins riding on top of it.
Dipper walked up to the angry Hunter in an attempt to talk to him. He didn't get the chance to look at his new scars that were scattered throughout his body but when he did, his stomach sunk. He saw that Hunter's scarred body stretched even further from his back, to his chest to his abdomen. And the scar he had on his cheek, stretched even further across his face and a new scar resembling the old one, was on the other side of his face.
"Aren't you gonna say anything?" Hunter asked angrily.
Dipper took off his overcoat and offered it to Hunter. "You sure you don't want to cover them up?" Hunter wrapped his arms across his body and Dipper realised his mistake. "I meant your pecks not your…You know."
"No, I'm fine." Hunter replied as Dipper put his coat back on.
"I don't know about the weather but it looks like it could get cold." Dipper said.
Hunter exhaled. "Look, I'm sorry about the journal, I don't need your help."
"Hunter, I think it'll be healthy to talk about what you're going through." Dipper said.
Hunter groaned. "Says you! On the first week of the Human Realm all you did was mope all because Pacifica died!"
"Hunter, grief is hard, I know this." Dipper said.
"Don't you get it Dipper?!" Hunter yelled. "I've lived for 17 years being abused by my uncle and Flapjack was the first friend I ever had! You never have been abused! And you never lost anyone who made you feel so connected and the feeling of wanting to live! You never did! Because you had everything!"
"What about Willow?" Dipper asked. "What is she to you? You haven't lost her, yet."
Hunter groaned. "Yet! That's it!" He strode off while Gus walked pass playing with his illusion magic.
Camila watched on with awe. "Oh-ho-ho-ho, wow! You kids were really holding back in the Human Realm, huh?" Camila remarked. "Except for that prank war."
"That one time." Amity said. "But I held back a little." Amity noticed some sludge on the ground and began playing with it with her magic. "Hello you gorgeous slime!" She laughed as she played along with it.
Luz sees this and blushes, with a smile on her face. But soon, she becomes gloomy again, and Camila notices this.
"Mija, you never told me how pretty this place was!" She gestures around her along with Anne and Dipper.
"The sand!" Anne said.
"The mud." Dipper said. "Oh, the bushes!"
"The trees, the sky, qué belleza...aah!" Camila ran in front of the group. "Kids, stand back!"
Anne pulled out her sword. "What the hell is that?!"
Dipper pulled out his giant blaster. "I've seen this before. Trust me, it's dangerous."
"Who knows if that monster is alive or not?" Dipper looked at Camila with a baffled look.
"Actually, that skull was always there." Sasha said.
"The stuff all around it, was never there." Amity said.
They saw that the Boiling Isles had turned into some fantasy like world. With sparkles, oddly shaped stars, a part of the skull was missing and the Collector's palace floated above it. Starts bounced about, waterfalls dazzled and there was giggling all around.
Dipper cringed. "Crap, this is giving me bad Mabel-Land flashbacks."
Grime was throwing up in a nearby bush. "Uh…Too much cutesy and lightheartedness."
"Guys? What's on top of the skull?" Willow asked as she pointed at the palace.
"I think it's the Collector's castle." Marcy replied while Dipper was writing stuff down in his journal. "What do you think, Luz?"
"I'm not sure." Luz replied. "We should try and find answers in Bonesborough."
"Righto, Captain!" Grime gave Luz a salute and she narrowed her eyes at him.
"Don't call me Captain." Luz commanded before Amity, Sasha, Hunter, Willow, Gus, Marcy and Grime slid down a slope.
"Wow! Skulls, bones... I can really see this place helping you with your taxidermy hobby." Camila said.
Luz placed her hand on her mother's shoulder. "Mama, you're pretending to like this place aren't you? Dipper, Anne, I knew you'd like this place."
"Come on!" Anne blew a raspberry. "Your Mama loves this place! Right?!" She nudged her shoulder while gritting her teeth.
"Yesss! I love the fact that you've been living on a giant... carcass." Camila said.
"Smooth." Anne remarked sarcastically.
"Mama, it's nice that you're trying to like this place." Luz's expression turned gloomy. "But I haven't changed my mind." She looked forward. "After we save Eda and King, I'm going to stay in the Human Realm, permanently."
Dipper looked at Luz with a desperate look. "Luz, you have to reconsider your decision! You want to leave this place?! You want to leave a world where people love you for who you are?! You want to leave Amity?!"
"It's for the best." Luz said as she walked down the slope.
"Mija! Wait!" Camila cried. "Can't you just think about this for a few moments?!" She began chasing her daughter while Dipper and Anne stayed behind.
"What should we do?" Anne asked Dipper.
"She can't leave the Demon Realm." Dipper said glumly.
Anne sighed. "You saw it too, didn't you?"
"Your visions." Dipper responded. "I touched the shard and I saw it. Hunter's death, but it didn't show me reviving him. Then Luz's death. She disappeared into balls of light like Flapjack."
"Why?" Anne asked.
"The White Wolf told me she needed to die in order to save the Isles." Dipper explained. "I don't know how, but…I don't know what to do. I don't know if I should let it happen or do everything I can stop it. I screwed up the timeline enough, it's hard to come to a decision. Come on. We got to get to Bonesborough." Dipper and Anne continued following the group in order to find Belos wherever he may be.
Somewhere deep in the forest, a butterfly lands on a rock resting, but then Belos slams his hand on the creature as he slowly crawls forward. The goo he leaves behind produces black smoke, meaning that he is close to death.
The monster Belos screeches in pain as he collapses. His vision is blurred and shaky, like he were about to pass out very soon. Suddenly, an hallucination of Caleb Wittebane appears in front of him, which stands motionless, glaring at Belos with a bloodstained dagger hovering above his head.
"Don't... mock me..! I tried to save your soul. It's your fault this all happened!" He argued at the spirit that still glared at him.
Belos screeches, and uses his arms to take two swipes at Caleb. However, the blades phase right through the apparition.
Belos pants heavily, with goo dripping down all over his body. His left arm suddenly breaks apart, revealing the bone underneath it. Belos groans and drops to the ground with the Caleb spirit still glaring at him.
"I need a new body!" Belos cried as he continued to crawl toward his main target. The Collector's palace.
Meanwhile, the group is walking forward until they see something that makes Luz gasp. She immediately rushes forward, with Amity and Gus following her from behind.
"Luz!" Anne cried out as she and the rest of the group stopped to what she was looking at.
Luz stops in front of the Owl House and looks up. The house has grown dilapidated since its raiding by coven scouts, and is now graffitied on the outside.
"What is this place?" Camila asked.
Luz held the front door. "Welcome…" She opened it. "….To the Owl House." The inside of the house is completely empty, nothing left. Not even a crumb for a mouse.
"Now what?" Marcy asked.
"I suggest we come up with a plan." Sasha said. "We don't know how bad things have gotten so we should come up with something. What do you think Luz?"
Luz began walking toward an archway. "Yeah…Sure…Whatever." She said glumly as she held her Palisman egg in hand.
"You heard the lady!" Grime said. "Let's drink while coming up with a plan." The toad began tapping the floorboard.
"Grime, the Owl House is ransacked." Sasha said. "There's nothing left."
Grime continued tapping the floorboard until he got to a certain section that he punched a hole in. He reached through the hole and pulled out a keg of apple blood, bottles of apple blood, cans of apple blood and juice cartons of apple blood.
"Who's thirsty?" Grime asked.
Marcy groaned. "Ooooh! Bathroom!" She ran up the stairs. But when she got to the top, she groaned. "Dang it, they took the toilet?!"
Later, Grime was sitting in a section of the Owl House drinking a bottle of apple blood. Gus approached him while drinking an apple blood carton.
"How are you doing?"
"Not good." Grime said. "Luz can't seem to forgive me. What about the others?"
"The others understand." Gus assured him.
"Why don't Luz forgive me?" Grime asked.
"She's just angry." Gus replied. "Let's not forget she has been through a lot."
"But I was manipulated!" Grime exclaimed. "Tricked even! She should understand!"
"Well, she'll come round." Gus assured him. "She can't be that angry."
"Well, I'm gonna continue drinking this apple blood." Grime said. "Besides, I hope everyone else likes it like I do."
Dipper was standing in the living room with a cup of apple blood in hand. He saw that the walls appeared to be breathing which caused him to raise a brow.
"Huh, a literal living room." Dipper remarked before taking a sip out of his drink which he spat out. "Gross! I probably should have packed something before we left."
Then he reached into his pocket and pulled out the note that a woman gave to Hunter that he delivered to him. He was confused and baffled by what the note meant. The message was simple but the drawings and lipstick mark meant only one thing, this was Pacifica. Not just the marks, but the hand writing. This had to be a very well made joke, there was no way she was alive.
Sasha, Anne and Marcy re entered the house. "Sorry it took us long to find you a private place, Mar." Anne said.
"That's okay, Anne." Marcy assured her.
"I would have punched Hunter in the face if he wasn't having such a hard time." Sasha said before noticing Dipper. She looked at Grime and Gus to see if they were listening which they weren't. She marched up toward Dipper with a bit of a scowl. "Anne told me something rather interesting. You saw what happens to Luz?"
Dipper sighed. "I did."
"And you're going to let it happen?" Sasha asked.
"I…Don't know." Dipper said. "I don't know if I should."
"Why?!" Sasha asked angrily. "You can't just stand there as she disappears into balls of light like Flapjack."
"Look, you don't understand." Dipper said.
"A White Wolf?" Sasha argued. "Time travel?! Why should I be convinced that it needs to happen?"
"Because I saw it too." Marcy admitted.
Dipper, Anne and Sasha turned with stunned expressions on their faces. "I didn't touch my shard. But after last night, I think K somehow touched it and we shared the same vision. I didn't want to believe they were real. But after I heard you three say you shared these visions, though with some differences, I just couldn't believe it." She held her arm. "I'm sorry if I kept these from you, I was just scared." Tears began to fall from her eyes.
Sasha stared at her friend with sympathy. "Oh Mar-Mar. It's okay. It probably won't happen anyway. Like Hunter's demise."
"What if it does?" Marcy asked. "Anne died to save Amphibia and it worked. What if it needs to happen?" They stared off sadly, wondering the future.
In the kitchen, Camila opens a cupboard to find some food and finds a partially eaten apple and a dead rat inside. She's grossed out by the dead rat and makes a face.
Outside, Hunter pacing back and forth outside, with Clover and Emmeline following him from behind. He looked at the Palisman before grunting.
Willow, Grime and Gus look at this from the kitchen window inside as they sit on the ledge. Grime drank some apple blood as he did.
"So... this is the... Owl House I heard so much about?" Camila asked.
"Yeah... but don't worry, the food's usually not THAT spoiled." Willow assured her as she gestured toward the rat.
"Food?" Camila shook her head. "You three, I need advice."
"Well first you have to pluck out all the dire rat's extra heads." Gus said. "The tiny ones that line the digestive tract might still be bitey, so-"
"No, I need advice about Luz." She sits in front of the three. "See, she's planning to... make a very bad decision for herself. She's so determined to make herself sad, and..." She sighs. "I don't know what to do."
"When I was sad, I went out on a hunt and killed a savage beast." Grime said. "Or drank my blues away. Does she want apple blood?"
"I'm not giving my daughter alcohol." Camila protested.
"Worth a shot." Grime continued to drink the apple blood.
"That...reminds me of when I failed my first school project." Gus said. "I thought I deserved to be grounded so... I ran off to live in a cave in the most DRAMATIC way possible! Of course, reliable ol' Willow finds me and says..."
"It's okay to fail, I fail all the time." Willow said.
"'Oh yeah?' I said, 'Like when?' Suddenly, there's this BIG slimy explosion in the distance!" Gus and Grime made an explosion sound to emphasise his point.
"Like tonight, I forgot to chain up my homework." Willow and Gus laughed while Camila laughed nervously.
"They have to chain their homework?" Camila asked herself.
"Lucky, I had to eat my homework." Grime said with envy.
"Maybe Luz is going through something like that." Gus said. "My dad didn't care if I failed that project, but..." He began to tear up. "I didn't want to fail him. And..." He snuggled as he began to reminisced about his dad. "Oh man, I- I hope he's okay!"
Grime and Willow placed their hands on his shoulder. "Don't worry Gus, we'll get him back." Willow assured him.
"STOP!" They looked outside to see Hunter screaming at the Palismen. "Stop following me! Belos could be anywhere by now, and we're just- SITTING HERE!"
A twig snaps in the distance. Hunter gasps and looks towards the source of the sound, putting his hand in a gripping position to summon his staff out of habit. He then realizes that he can no longer do that, and groans in frustration. Then, he starts pacing again.
"Someone ought to stop him before he walks off a cliff." Grime suggested.
"Good call Grime." Gus said. "Willow's strong enough to pull him up."
Grime and Gus began to walk away. "Yup. Good ol' reliable Willow."
Willow was about to walk out until Camila grabbed her wrist. "Willow, sweetie, are you okay? How are you feeling."
"I'm fine." Willow assured her. "Like Gus said, I'm the reliable one."
"It's okay to be scared too." Camila said. "It's not good if you try to hold it all in."
She gave her a cheery grin. "I'm fine, really! And I think you'll be fine too. You and Luz are a lot alike."
Willow turns around and walks away. Her expression changes once she's facing away from Camila. Camila then notices a trail of plants emerging from the ground behind Willow as she walks away, and looks up with a concerned look on her face.
Outside, Hunter was still pacing about looking out for danger while his girlfriend approached him. "Hunter." Her sudden presence caused him to scream and to fall on his rear. "Sorry."
Hunter narrowed his eyes at her as he stood up. "Don't sneak up on me like that! I could have hurt you!" He continued to pace about while Willow watched on.
She took a deep breath to try and speak to Hunter. "Do you want me to go to the Owl House to find something to cover those up?"
Hunter wrapped his arms around his scars. "Don't remind me."
"I was talking about your pecks." Willow said.
"Course you were." Hunter said in anger.
"Do you want to talk about what happened?" Willow asked with a panicked tone. "You know keeping your emotions in is completely unhealthy. It could lead to inappropriate spouts of anger and a lot of emotional distress and…"
"You don't know what I'm going through!" Hunter rudely interjected. "You never lost anyone close to you! Your sister and your first ever best friend! You never lost any of those!" Hunter continued to pace about. "Please don't talk to me!"
Willow began to nervously play with her fingers. "Sorry, I'll leave." Willow began to walk away leaving a trail of plants behind her.
Hunter looked back at his girlfriend with concern, feeling a tad concerned over what was going on through his girlfriend's mind. But then he went back to pacing around in circles.
By the corridor outside Eda's room, Amity and Ghost emerge from around the corner and walk down the corridor. She looks around melancholically, then suddenly, she steps onto something. She looks down and notices that it's a picture frame. She picks it up, smiles at the photo, then walks into Eda's room. The room is filled with balls of Light glyphs floating in the air. Amity and Ghost walk towards Eda's bed/nest to see Luz snuggling with her Palisman.
"Hey." Amity said to her melancholy girlfriend.
"Hey." Luz responded.
"Did... you think sitting in a nest was... gonna help your palisman hatch?" Amity asked her girlfriend.
"Maybe." Luz replied dejectedly. "But nothing's happening."
"Remember what the Bat Queen said. To connect with the palisman, you need to express your deepest wish." Amity said.
Luz sat up. "I never asked, how did you connect with your Palisman?"
"Well, after being handed the staff, I said 'I wanna be a great witch! Or... uh, I don't know, I... wanna be an author like Mildred Featherwhyle!' But... she wouldn't move, until I admitted that... I don't know what I'm gonna be when I grow up, but... I wanna choose the path myself. And that was enough." Amity explained while Ghost nuzzled her.
Luz looked at her egg with a glum look. "I wanna be a witch, and help my friends. But doing one always seem to mess up the other. Why did this get so complicated?"
Amity gently rubbed her head. "You just gotta be patient." She kissed her head, causing Luz to look away with sadness. "This isn't the only reason you're in here, huh?"
Amity shows Luz the photo frame she just found outside the room. Inside the frame is a family picture consisting of Eda, Luz, King, and Hooty.
Eda, Luz, and King have the same matching sweaters, while Hooty wears glasses and had a bowtie with the same color palette. The photo is of a vintage style, with Hooty appearing in the background looking semi-transparent.
"I'll find Eda and King no matter what it takes." Luz says with determined.
"IT'S EDA AND KING!" Hunter screamed from outside.
Everyone ran outside to see Hunter pointing at what looked like, Eda, the Collector and King on a shooting star toward Bonesborough.
"Where?!" Sasha asked.
"They were on that shooting star!" Hunter replied.
"They appear to be heading into Bonesborough." Grime said.
"How do we catch up with them?" Camila asked.
"We fly." Grime replied.
"Fly?!" Camila exclaimed.
"Don't worry." Amity said as she and the other witches got their staffs out. "I'm a safe flier."
"Uh guys." Marcy said. "Where do I sit? Because I don't think there's room."
"Don't worry, you can fly with me on Gus'." Grime saw that Luz was about to embark on Gus' and cringed. "Willow's, actually."
Then, the group were flying across Bonesborough. Hunter, Grime and Marcy are riding on Willow's staff; Luz, Dipper and Anne are riding on Gus' staff; And Camila and Sasha ride on Amity's staff.
Marcy was hanging on the back of the staff hanging on for dear life. "Ahhh!"
Dipper was doing the same thing on Gus'. "You think that's traumatising? Try hanging on a really tall radio tower."
"Did that happen to you?" Marcy asked.
"No I saw this scary movie that made me afraid of heights for a while." Dipper said. "How are you doing Camila?"
Camila is terrified and keeps her eyes shut, tears flying. "Great!"
The team then lands at somewhere in Bonesborough. They get off their staffs and look around. Marcy dropped to her knees and exhales.
"Woo! Glad you guys didn't leave me hanging." Marcy said.
Grime groaned. "Puns?"
Camila jumps off the staff. "Those things need seatbelts."
"Couldn't agree more!" Anne said.
Camila and Anne lean on a lamp post and slide down. "Hello sweet Earth." They suddenly hear growling and look down, realizing that they're sitting atop some creature. One of the creature's eyes opens, stares at them and blinks.
Camila and Anne scream in terror and jump up, ready to fight the creature. "What the hell is that thing?!" Anne asked.
Camila noticed notices everyone staring at her and immediately hides the bat behind her. "Anne. Good evening…sir?" Camila bowed at the demon. Who gave a smile.
"Sorry dude." Anne put away her sword. "We're new here." The demon smiled at Anne's apology. "Nice guy."
Dipper got on his knee. "Do you mind if I interview you at some point?" He asked the creature before getting dragged by Grime.
"Come along, nerd." Grime said.
The group walk around Bonesborough, but find it completely deserted and abandoned. The buildings are filled with graffiti and the windows boarded up.
"Where are Eda and King?" Willow asked.
"Where's Yunan?" Marcy asked.
"Where is anyone?" Grime asked.
Dipper looked through a hole and found Tinella feasting on some bread. She saw Dipper and immediately got defensive. "My bwead! Can't have another human twy to take it!"
"Sorry." Dipper said before rejoining the group.
Tinell grumbled. "Least the gentleman wasn't that blonde one."
Hunter looked behind a stall and froze. "Guys! Something's coming!"
"Witches?" Willow reacted.
"Demons?" Gus reacted.
"Both?!" Marcy exclaimed.
"Robots?!" Anne asked as she unsheathed her sword.
"No, it's sparkles." Hunter said.
Dipper froze as he had a Mabel-Land flashback. "Crap."
Hunter looks back and hears a sound with a bright, sparkling wave coming towards him. He immediately turns around and runs away. Noticing the wave, the rest of the group gasps, turns around and runs away too. All of them hide in an alley with the waves passing right beside them.
"Phew, that was close." Grime said before looking out and gasping. "No! My worst nightmare."
Marcy poked her head out. "What they're just…"
"Marionette puppets!" Grime screamed before jumping into a barrel.
Luz, Amity and the rest of the group peek out, and sees that the town square has now been completely overhauled: Skies with colorful rainbows, new stalls, new statue, and chalk drawings on the floor. Multiple puppets who used to be Bonesborough citizens are also now standing there.
Amity notices two puppets who used to be Cat and Amelia standing nearby, and becomes creeped out.
Dipper cringed. "Actually, this is worse than Mabel-Land."
Willow then noticed something that made her heart sank. "Dad?!"
Willow notices a puppet who used to be Gilbert standing among the crowd. Puppet Gilbert's eyes flashes yellow, then starts hopping along with the other puppets, whose eyes are also flashing yellow.
A jingle plays in the background and suddenly, the puppets start screaming and running around. Willow runs out and chases after her Dad.
"Willow, no!" Dipper cried.
"I got her!"
Hunter rushes outside and holds Willow back as she tries to speak to her father. "Stop it, it's me!Where's Papa?"
Suddenly, something crashes through the wall of a building beside them, and Hunter immediately drags Willow away. Once the smoke disperses, Owl Beast Eda can be seen standing there or what looked like her.
"Eda?" Luz reacted just as Grime poked his head out to see what was going on.
Owl Beast Eda starts chasing the puppets, causing them to run around and scream. Gilbert is forced into a corner as Owl Beast Eda approaches him. Upon seeing this, Willow gasps, summons her staff and prepares to rescue her dad. Right as Owl Beast Eda is about to attack Gilbert, a bright beam shoots from the sky into the ground behind her.
"Stop right there beast!" The voice of the Collector yelled.
Owl Beast Eda turns around and looks up to find the source of the voice. Willow's expression changes from being determined to surprised as she put away her staff.
They look up to see The Collector and King riding on a star platform from the sky and to the ground and stare at the beast with judgement.
"Fear not, citizens of Bonesborough!" They jump down from the platform. "I'm here to stop this beast's mad rampage!"
"I believe in you Collector!" King exclaimed while giving a thumbs up.
"Thanks best friend!" The Collector gives King a thumbs up back.
Luz and everyone else stared on with shocked expression. "Best…Friend?"
"I don't know, Collector is kind of adorable." Anne remarked.
"LIGHT GLYPH, GO!" The Collector waves his right arm and opens up his palm. A bright flash emerges from the palm, blinding Owl Beast Eda as she screeches and drops to the ground.
The puppets around start cheering and clapping just as Terra emerges from beneath the costume dressed as Eda.
"Oh, hooray. I'm back to normal." Terra said unenthusiastically.
Everyone watched on in shock. "What?" Luz reacted.
Grime couldn't help but stifle a laugh at this sight. "Ooh, karma's a frog."
"Who's got a pint of apple blood?" Terra asked with unenthusiasm and with some of the poorest acting on the Isles.
The Collector groaned. "No! No! No! Time out! Time out!" The puppets stop moving and the Collector marches towards her with frustration. "Terra, for the last time, Eda doesn't sound like that! She's got more of a- like a- a cool aunt vibe who pretends to be all cold-hearted but actually cares a lot!"
"Sounds like Stan." Dipper whispered. "But more of a cool uncle."
Terra groaned. "Ugh, you're a real thorn in my side, you know that?" She points at the Collector. "I've had it with YOU and your STUPID LITTLE DOG!" The Collector narrows their eyes at her. "Ugh, whatever. All I have to do is play Eda the Owl Lady and I don't get turned into one of those things, right? Then, let's just continue." She starts to act cute. "'Oooh, I LIKE MUSICIANS!'"
The Collector summoned a crescent moon with their finger. "You're not being very nice." He tossed it towards the Coven Head who began to panic.
"Wait!" But the terrified Terra was too late. The moon hits her in the forehead and turns her into a puppet. The Collector then turns around and walks away back to the star.
Everyone from the group look at what just unfolded in front of them with a shocked expression on their faces.
"This is what we're up against?" Anne asked quietly. "A bratty kid."
"When we get to them, he is gonna get a time out so badly!" Marcy said.
The Collector sits on the star platform gloomily as it spins around. King approaches them with a concerned expression on his face.
"Collector, buddy, you gotta stop doing that." King stops the platform. "Think about what you're doing to these people."
"You're so boring!" They lay down on their back. "I'm just playing pretend!"
"Even playing pretend has consequences." King sighed sadly. "A cranky old witch taught me that."
"You mean Eda, right?" He asked as they sat up with excitement. "That's what we need! The real thing! A cranky, know-it-all, mentor figure. No substitutes allowed! Maybe if I ask real nice, I wouldn't have to turn her into a puppet!"
"No!" King cried. "Her curse is still in-effect." The Collector sighed sadly and turned away. "But I can check to see if she's okay."
The Collector lights up. "Promise?"
"You can count on me." King assured them before the two made a pinky swear.
"Stockholm syndrome." Sasha said. "That's gotta be Stockholm syndrome."
"How are we going to free him?" Gus asked.
"We just need to track him." Dipper pulled a device out of his pocket and carefully manoeuvred it to King's shoulder. The Baby Titan didn't notice it and just thought of it as an itch.
"Come on, King! Let's go back to the Archive House." He activated the star.
"No! Wait!" Luz runs out and tries to chase after King and the Collector, but they have already took off on the platform. The puppets start disappearing in puff of smokes around Luz and the entire illusion covering the area also fades away. "King…."
The rest of the group walked out with shocked expressions on their faces. "What in the sugar coated nightmare, was that?" Anne reacted.
"O- Okay, okay." Camila said trying to wrap her head around things. "The eyeballs in the ground are normal, but the little space cherub is the danger?"
"Again, I'm gonna give him a time out." Marcy said.
"I don't know Marcy, I think they'd turn you into a puppet if you tried to enact that act of punishment." Amity said.
"Seriously, terrible parenting." Sasha remarked.
"We should follow them. Belos is probably trying to get back to the Collector!" Hunter suggested.
"Don't worry I got a tracking device on King." Dipper said as he pulled out his phone. "We should be able to find them when we can."
"What was that?" Sasha asked.
"I think it was a game." Marcy said.
"Yeah, with some kind of... messed up version of my life!" Luz replied. "King must have told them about our adventures."
"Does that mean he's gonna go Calamity at some point?" Marcy asked.
Luz froze at the idea. "I…Hope not."
"What about the other citizens?" Grime asked.
"Could they have been turned into puppets and locked in the archives?" Gus asked.
Luz looked up to the Collector and King flying away on the star. "If they are, then that's where we're going."
"You'll never make it." Said a voice.
"Huh?"
The group looked up to see Mattholomue, Skara and Barcus standing on the edge of a building. "Cause you guys are…Losers!"
The group stared at the kids with stunned expressions as they climbed down to greet them. "So you're not dead?" Skara asked.
"Who said we were?" Luz asked.
"One of your friends who got left behind." Skara said. "Plus we just assumed."
"What friend?" Anne asked.
Barcus barked as he pointed at Sasha. "Pacifica."
"I think the dog said I looked just like them." Sasha said.
"Well, you do share a tad resemblance to Pacifica besides the eye scar." Everyone froze at the mention of that time.
"What?" Hunter reacted in shock.
"What do you mean?" Dipper asked in disbelief.
"Pacifica is dead." Luz said. "When did you see her?"
"She came to us five months ago." Matt replied. "She wasn't looking so good. She had been living at Blight manor for a while."
"Plus, she was speaking to her stomach. It was weird." Barcus remarked.
Dipper narrowed his eyes at the kids. "No! No! That can't be true."
"No, she was speaking to her stomach." Skara said.
"Not that but that does sound weird." Marcy said. "She was dead! I checked her pulse on the Day of Unity."
"Well she was alive last I saw of her." Mattholomue said. "But let's not argue. We must leave, before they come back for more. Also, we should get back and get Hunter a shirt. Like seriously man, put those away."
Hunter narrowed his eyes at Matt. "Okay, can you stop staring at my scars?!"
"Dude, I meant your pecks." Matt retorted. "Like seriously, are you even cold?"
The group began walking to their base where they continued talking. "So, I guess some introduction are in order?" Sasha asked.
"It's okay, we know who you are." Mattholomue began pointing to each member. "Anne, Sasha, Marcy, Dipper and we assume you must be Luz's Mom. I'm Mattholomue, that is Skara and that is Barcus."
Barcus barked. "Sup."
"How did you know about us?" Marcy asked.
"Well, while Pacifica was on trial for breaking into Hexside, she told us everything about you." Skara said. "Before she escaped by turning invisible and taking off all of her clothes. That must have been humiliating for her."
Hunter sighed. "Believe me it was."
"How can you be so sure it was her though?" Dipper asked. "You kids are probably making this up aren't you?"
"We're not!" Mattholomue argued. "She told us that your birthday was on August 31st, you have hot abs and she survived by stopping her heart and using the book ketchup trick."
Dipper froze at the mention of a device stopping her heart. "The Heartstopper." In that moment, Dipper began to smile along with Hunter and Luz. "She's alive!"
"Yup, she's being held in the Collector's palace against her will but not as a puppet!" Skara exclaimed enthusiastically.
Everyone all looked relieved that there was some good news. "She's alive!" Amity exclaimed.
Hunter looked especially happy for the first time in forever. "She's alive!" But then he looked at his scars and remembered Flapjack, causing him to get angry and upset once again.
"Yeah, she's alive! For the longest time I thought I had her killed." Luz had a huge smile that then vanished. "But I abandoned her."
Dipper was so overjoyed. "My girlfriend is alive! And I dated Wendy while we were still together! Does that count as cheating on your girlfriend?"
Sasha did a half and half gesture. "I think it only counts if you knew your girlfriend was alive which for your case you didn't."
Dipper shrugged his shoulders. "Okay."
"Skara, Matt, Barcus, what even happened here?" Amity asked. "What happened to you guys on the Day of Unity."
The kids looked hesitant but then sighed. "Here's what happened." Skara cleared her throat. "Since Grime and the Golden Guard... I- I mean Hunter, told us about the Emperor's plan for the Day of Unity, Principal Bump allowed students and teachers to camp out at Hexside."
"We thought we could handle whatever the Emperor threw at us." Mattholomue continued. "But when the Draining Spell hit, we realized things wouldn't be so simple. After the adults recovered..."
"That's when the Collector's spies showed up." Skara continued. "The grudgby team snuck out, and tried to hold them back, but it didn't work."
"Bump and the adults were turned into toys and taken away!" Mattholomue exclaimed. "And we've been hiding out ever since. And somewhere to Mattholomue to Mantholomue." He puckered his lips and smudged some black line down his chin.
Camila was chuckling while everyone else looked absolutely repulsed. "Mantholomue?" Sasha said with disgust.
"If this is the last line of defence for the Boiling Isles, then they're doomed." Anne said.
"Shh." Skara said as she stops everyone dead in their tracks and looks above, causing everyone to look up as well. Above them, another one of the Collector's spies fly past them without noticing their existence.
Mattholomule then instructs everyone to keep moving forward after he is sure that the coast is clear. Soon, everyone approaches the school building with Marcy looking at it in awe.
"Man, I wish I went here!" Marcy said. "Hey, do you guys have a student exchange programme for humans?"
"We didn't when Luz was around but we should if things go back to normal." Mattholomue replied.
Skara and Mattholomule approach the front door which was boarded up. Skara drags a crate aside while Mattholomule removes a piece of board blocking the door. Barcus and the group walk up and stairs and approach the door.
"We did a little decorating for these last 8 months." Skara said. "So let us welcome you to…New Hexside." When Skara and Mattholomue opened the door they see that the interior is now rather messy, and the situation is chaotic. A student swings past on a rope and knocks 2 people to the ground. Another uses an Abomination hand to reach somewhere higher, but a kindergartener hisses at her and shoos her away. Two students in casts walk past groaning in pain.
"I would have loved it if school was like this." Anne said. "Man, is it strange that I'm nostalgic for irresponsible Anne?"
"Heads up!"
A fireball flies past Luz and barely misses her as she quickly dodges. The fireball lands somewhere behind and explodes. The group look back with nervous expressions.
"This place does not smell that great." Gus said.
"And it's dangerous!" Grime said. "Someone could have been hurt." He wipes a tear. "Takes me back to toad school."
The trio then led the group into the school cafeteria, which has now been turned into a market. Students can be seen selling food and weapons. A student steals food from another student and runs away, forcing the student to chase after him. On a table, a student can be seen eating something which does not appear to taste great.
Dipper then noticed something. "Hey look, they have a T-Shirt stand."
"T-Shirts! Get your T-Shirts!" The student yelled as Dipper approached him.
"How much for one that is the shirtless one's size?" Dipper asked.
"That's 17 snails sir."
Dipper turned to the group. "Anyone got snails?"
"No." Everyone replied.
"We just tend to steal shirts when no one's looking." Mattholomue replied.
"Very well." Dipper said. "Don't worry young student, no stealing today."
"Good."
As Dipper walked back to the group, he subtlety stuffed something in the coat while grinning. "Thank you Stan."
"Bootleg candy!" An oracle student cried out from their stand. "Now that your Mama's a puppet, it's time to eat that candy!"
As the group pass by the stall, a small Bard student jumps up and bites on the Oracle student's hand, causing them to yell in fright as they try to shake off the student.
As they continued to walk, Willow ate some of the bootleg candy she took from the stall. "Thank you, Stan." She said.
Inside a classroom, Braxas and a few other kindergartners have formed a circle, with Barcus standing and the rest sitting. To Braxas' right, a plushie with star-shaped cutout over its face can be seen. Amity, Gus, and Camila pass by the classroom outside, but Camila stops and looks when she hears Braxas speaking.
"I'll save you father!" Braxas takes out a paper-made throwing star, kisses it with a mouth on his tongue, and flings it towards the plushie. It slices right through the head and lodges itself on the wall behind. The other kindergartners pounce towards the plushie and starts destroying it. "Feast on the blood of your enemies!" Camila makes a face before walking away to join the rest of the group.
Camila meets up with Mattholomue and the rest of the group in some hall where they were looking at a statue. "This, is a statue of Principal Bump, who risked his life for ours." Mattholomue pressed his hand to his chest while Skara and Barcus gave a salute.
Camila smiled. "It's so nice they're giving teachers the respect they deserve…" The statue was of Bump all swagged out skateboarding. The words engraved on the pillar says 'IN MEMORY OF THE COOLEST PRINCIPAL EVER' 'PRINCIPAL BUMP AKA 'PRINCY B''. "…I think."
Anne cringed. "Is this school stuck in the nineties are something?"
"Least I'm not dealing with Dippy Fresh." Dipper said.
Then, some students from above began to look down wanting to see all the people who have arrived. "Is that who I think it is?"
"Is that Amity?"
"It can't be?"
"Who's tall Luz?"
"Is that Mason Pines? The author of Merman in the Pool? The Greatest Story ever made!"
Dipper seemed impressed. "Okay, it's not just teachers that are getting respect."
"Willow!" Viney runs up behind Willow and shares a hug with her. "Angels!" She pulls Gus and Grime into a hug. "I'm so glad you're back!" She pulls out of the hug. "Willow, your orchids have become sentient and have started a war with a roving gang of kindergartners. Please help!"
Dipper froze. "Willow, before we left for Gravesfield you did sort out those plants of yours, right?"
Meanwhile in Gravity Falls, Soos walked out of the Shack with a huge smile. "Mr Pines, do you wanna come in and meet my son?" He looked up and saw that Stan was fighting a ginormous plant.
"Not now Soos!" Stan protested. "I've been fighting this all day!"
"Okay, let me know if you need anything." Soos said.
Back in the Demon Realm, Willow smiled. "I'm sure it'll be fine."
Eileen approaches Gus and begins asking about the paper clip. "No! Human paper clips are NOT a good meat substitute! Have people been eating those?" She looked away shamefully before running away.
"I wonder what her name was?" Anne asked.
"Eyeleen?" Marcy and Anne chuckled.
"Don't laugh, that is her name." Amity said.
"Oh." Anne and Marcy said as they stopped laughing.
"Mittens?!"
Amity turned to see her sister running up to her. "Em?!" The sisters shared a hug with each other, tears falling from their eyes. "I'm so glad you're okay!"
"You're alive?!" Emira exclaimed in shock. "Pacifica told me you were dead! Actually, she said you were all dead."
"Well, we thought the same with her so we're even." Amity said.
"Amity!" Amity and Emira pulled out of the hug to see that her brother was running up to her in a full body cast while a student tried to bandage him up. But it was no use. "AMITY! You're alive!"
"Oh…My…Titan!" Amity said in shock over seeing her brother like this.
"Ed, you're going to hurt yourself!" Emira exclaimed.
"I don't care! I want to hug my sister!" He screamed as he tried to move his arms. He eventually did, causing it to break his cast and to hug his sister. "Siblings!"
"What happened to you?" Amity asked.
"After you and dad left the factory, I BRAVELY set off to find you. Then I was tragically cornered by one of the Collector's spies." Edric said.
"When he was running away, he fell into an empty well." Emira explained.
"It wasn't empty, there were rocks at the bottom." Edric corrected his sister.
During the talk, Amity was smiling as tears fell from her eyes. "Come here you weirdos!" She and her siblings hugged each other.
Then an Abomination walked through the corridor stepping on students that were sleeping but they didn't react because they were still sleeping.
"No offence but this seems…"
"Disorganised." Sasha said.
"Disgusting." Camila said.
"In complete disarray." Amity said.
"We're just following orders." Viney said.
"From who?" Luz asked.
"Yes, I'd like to know what self centred, irresponsible and procrastinating figure was responsible for something like this?!" Gus asked.
The school loudspeaker turned on. "Attention! Would Captain Tholomule escort his guests to the Council Chamber? And DO IT NOW!"
Willow groaned. "CRAAAAAAAP!"
"Boscha." Amity said.
"The Demon Realm Sasha judging by her name." Marcy said.
"Hey!" Sasha exclaimed.
"Hang on, who's General Tholomue?" Grime asked.
Gus figured out who it was however. "Wait, your last name has been Tholomue this whole time?!" He turned to Matt who just shrugged his shoulders.
Meanwhile in the forest underneath the Collector's palace. Belos is climbing up, struggling at best. He finally stopped in front of a stone wall and draws a glyph combination on it. He then slams on the glyph combo, activating it and it unlocks a door.
Inside the secret room, there are piles of skulls, skeletons and broken Golden Guard masks. Belos keeps on crawling forward, getting increasingly tired and out of breath. Suddenly, he notices the apparitions of Caleb and the past Golden Guards next to him.
"Oh shut up!" Belos demanded before he kept crawling. He continued crawling into the lab where he made Grimwalkers. "There has to be one left!"
He notices a hand sticking out from dirt next to him and immediately screeches. He pounces towards the hand and swallows it up then disappears into the pile of dirt underneath it. A while later, the hand starts twitching.
Somewhere above the sky, the Collector and King are flying through the clouds on the star shaped platform. The Collector laughs in excitement as he flips the platform 360 degrees while flying. Soon, they approach the castle, fly through a curtain and approach a flight of stairs.
"Oh boy, we were gone a while." King remarked as he and the Collector jumped off the star. "I should probably uh, go check on the ol' Owl Beast. Maybe... get her something to eat?"
"Remind me what do mortals eat again?" The Collector asked as they began to playfully float around. "Rocks? Fire? Oh! Gravity?"
They began walking up the stairs where they were greeted by Odalia. "Welcome home, Collector. Did you have a nice adventure?"
"Mamadalia, we need to feed the Owl Beast." He lands on the staircase. "Hmm, how about... Pizza bagels?"
Odalia chuckled nervously. "I told you before, Collector, I could be much more use to you than being a... Mamadalia. Maybe we can talk about... remaking the Boiling Isles into something bigger and better!"
The Collector squints their eyes angrily. "Piiiiiza Bagels!" Odalia tenses up and nervously bows at them. Him and King began to walk up the stairs while Odalia just walks away with a scowl on her face. "Oh, and one more thing." Odalia tenses up and turns to face the Collector. They snapped their fingers, causing puppets to fall on top of her. "Take those back to the Collection, room. Kay, thanks bye!" He floats upwards while King continued to walk up the stairs.
Odalia dug her way out of the puppets and groaned. "I should have been taking care of that wretched Eda." She then looks at King. "Hey, dog, you have something on your shoulder."
King became alarmed. "Weh?!" He looked behind his shoulder and found the tracking device Dipper placed on him. He removed it and stared at it with intrigue. "Hmmm? What is this?"
Inside, the Collector's room, which appears to be a room leading to a small planet floating in a galactic nebula. Two beds can be seen atop the planet, which is also floating in the middle of the room. Francois is seen placed on one of the beds, possibly King's. In between the two beds is a nightstand with a lamp on it.
The Collector flies in with King and places him on his bed. "We've been playing pretend for-ever, King. It is fun... but…." He lands on his bed. "….What if we switch it up? We can play Capture the Flag! Us versus... everyone on the Isles! We can put the losers on the moon."
King looked nervous. "Wow, that's…..An interesting idea. But wouldn't people have trouble breathing?"
"So? They can hold their breaths." The Collector snuggled up in their bed and turned to King. "Hey King!" The Collector claps their hands and an impossibly tall book made with a large stack of stone slabs falls is summoned from above and drops in front of King. King stares up at the book with a nervous expression. "Can you read me a story?"
King chuckled nervously. "Easy." King gives the stack a push and they fall backwards, wrap around the planet structure and stop before it hits King. The book then flips open and King walks toward the page and kneels down, preparing to read. "Okay... 'Collectors live long, we watch things pass. To preserve, to observe, we must amass... What flies, what swims, be it predator or prey, seal them up so that they never fade.' Uh…" He stopped at a crossed out paragraph that read 'But should they meddle in our affairs, we'll clean the planet and scorch the air.'
"No! No!" The Collector panicked. "Don't read that part! Skip to where it gets good!"
"Uh, okay. 'But playing is more fun, so I'm gonna make friends instead, the others stink, boo!'" The Collector closes his eyes. King exhales and climbs up the stone slab where he tries to adjust the lighting of the lamp.
"King…" King turned to The Collector whom was stirring himself awake. "…Can I sleep with Francois tonight?"
"Come on Collector, you know I've only let one other person touch him." King said.
The Collector sulked. "Right, that human...Can you at least leave him to watch over me..? I don't like being alone..."
The Collector looks away sadly causing King, to,pity them. He sighs, then puts Francois on the table next to the Collector. He is finally satisfied and smiles, shutting their eyes. King then floats up towards the exit, and after glancing back at the Collector one more time, phases out through the exit.
Back at Hexside, Matt lead his group to the gym where a few students dressed as Hexside guards. They watched as Jerbo pleaded with Boscha, whom was being monitored by Miki and Roka.
The three eyed witch was playing with the laser Pacifica had while wearing her clothes which were cut to fit her size and weight. This was a pink shirt with a logo on the centre, a brown jacket, black pants and white trainers.
"Uh... so... if... we got a group to... organize supplies, we can keep track of perishables, and... that way, we won't have to... fight over food anymore." Jerbo said.
Boscha began thinking. "Hmmm."
Miki began whispering to her. "President, if I may be so bold."
"President?!" Luz exclaimed.
"More like a thief." Dipper retorted. "Those clothes are Pacifica's."
"They do not look good on her." Willow remarked.
"This would take valuable resources away from your guard." Miki said. "You don't want to be 'collected' like the others, do you?"
Boscha gripped her throne. "Good point. Next!" Jerbo groaned and began to walk out. He looked at Matt sadly. "You're next."
"Did she refuse to listen?" Matt asked.
"Yes, uh... Sorry, I gotta make sure the kindergartners aren't hunting down lockers again." Mutters and walks away. "It was a blood bath last time." He notices Luz and waves. "So glad you're alive."
As they approached her, Sasha was analysing Boscha with a keen eye like she were a future opponent or perhaps a potential patient.
"Boscha, we found…" Miki cough, interrupting Matt. He sighed before coughing. "Allow me to introduce Student Body President Boscha! And her trusted guards, Miki and Roka."
"Welcome to New Hexside!" Boscha spread her arms out before accidentally firing a shot. "Uh! I could have damaged by my looks."
"What the heck is going on here?" Luz asked.
"Yeah, Hexside doesn't even have a student council!" Amity exclaimed. "I would know, I kept trying to organize one, but Bump thought I was too 'obsessed' and…"
Sasha placed her hand on the angered Amity. "Calm down, girl."
"Maybe she has a good reason to complain." Sasha retorted. "Considering the leadership this school has."
"What?!" Boscha exclaimed as she stood up in anger.
"I think you heard me." Sasha said. "But as much as I'd like to put you in your place…"
"Sasha…" Anne chided.
"We can't make this worse!" Luz said with gritted teeth.
"It's okay! It's okay!" Sasha assured her. "I'm just kind of intrigued about Miki and Roka. Were they even here before? Gus?"
"No, they were not." Gus replied.
Miki sighed sadly. "My little sister and I were traveling for the Day of Unity, but found ourselves hiding here after the uh... incident. Boscha brought us in so... we helped to establish order over Hexside."
"And we are flourishing!" Boscha exclaimed.
Outside the gym the corridor, Jerbo and Skara are screaming down the corridor and run past the open door. Edric tries to escape, but he can only walk slowly as his whole body is in a cast. The kindergartners knock him to the ground as they run past him to chase after Jerbo and Skara. One of the kindergartners drag Edric away as he screams.
"Please tell my story!" Edric cried.
The group shuddered. "This is why I don't want kids." Marcy said. "This and the bills that come with taking care of a child."
Dipper on the other hand had one thing on his mind he turned to Boscha. "Those clothes belonged to Pacifica."
Boscha grunted. "I assume you're her amazing boyfriend?"
"Well, she does like to call me amazing." Dipper replied. "But those are her clothes you're wearing."
"Yeah well, I had them retrieved so I could wear them." Boscha gave an unsympathetic sigh. "Shame she didn't die in them."
Matt nudged Dipper. "She thinks she's dead, go with it." Matt whispered.
"But I'm not an actor." Dipper said.
"Think of something!" Matt exclaimed.
Dipper coughed. "Well…That's a shame…Because…I was planning to dump her…So, ya know. Guess I did it…Without….Doing it."
Grime and Gus watched the performance in disgust. "Wow!" Gus remarked.
"You know, she's stupid at being a leader so there's a high chance she's stupid at noticing bad acting." Grime whispered.
"Anyway…This is my Mama Camila." Luz said as Camila waved. "And over here is hero of Amphibia: Anne Boonchuy."
"Sup!"
"Greatest geek in history: Marcy Wu."
"Heyo!" Marcy exclaimed.
"Fearless toad lieutenant: Sasha Waybright."
Sasha narrowed her eyes at Boscha and then spat on the floor. "Sup?"
Luz then scowled at Grime. "And that's Grime."
"And this is honorary Hexolio, Hunter." Gus said. Hunter just blushed with embarrassment and scowled.
"Long story short, we're here to help." Luz said. "We're gonna rescue everyone from the Archives and SAVE the Boiling Isles!" There was a long awkward silence and someone coughed.
"Sorry." Marcy said.
Luz chuckled awkwardly. "Not the reaction I was hoping for."
Miki walks forward. "As the leader, the safety of Boscha's subjects is paramount. And this is a suicide mission! After the horrors her own grudgby team faced-"
Boscha became agitated. "Ugh, quiet! I don't need to hear that again!" The outburst got Sasha to raise an eyebrow. "But... Miki's right. We're staying put."
"But.."
"AND THAT'S THAT!" Boscha slammed her fist on her seat. "Also, get the one of the scars a shirt! I don't like looking at them."
"Yeah, those are some ugly pecks." Grime comment made Hunter embarrassed as he covered them up.
"Not the pecks, the scars!" Boscha argued.
Later, the group was thrown out of the gym with the door slamming shut. "What the heck just happened?!" Luz exclaimed.
"It's been like this ever since Miki and Roka showed up!" Mat replied. "We want to fix stuff around here, but... anytime we suggest something, Miki threatens to throw people into the Detention Pit."
"The what?!" Camila exclaimed.
"There's one thing I know about Boscha." Sasha said. "She should make a good leader. Strong presence and a Grudgeby player according to Gus. But I think she's being manipulated by this Miki person."
"How do you know?" Mat asked.
"Don't question the master of manipulation." Grime said. "She can sniff one a mile away."
"What do we do now?" Anne asked.
"There must be another way to the Archives." Luz said. "But we know it's on the Titan's Skull. How do we get there?"
"Palisman hijack!" Marcy exclaimed.
"They're bonded to their owners so they will know when they've been stolen." Willow said.
Grime sighed. "Guys, I'm afraid it has come to this. But I know how to get there."
"What?!" Luz exclaimed.
"When me, Raine and Lilith went to the past, Philip…I mean Belos, performed a glyph that teleported us to the skull." Grime explained. "I don't quite remember what it looked like. But we can extract from a place I really don't want to go." He pointed to his head. "My head."
The group gasped. "It could be the only way." Willow said.
"You want us to cut his head open?" Dipper asked. He shrugged his shoulders and pulled out a scalpel. "Well, I knew I downloaded 8 years of skills to become a neurosurgeon into my brain for a reason."
Mat raised his hand. "No, I know what he means. Follow me." May began to lead the group to the memory extracting room. Everyone except Sasha whom was staying behind to face the gym door.
"Sasha?" Luz asked.
"What are you doing?" Grime asked.
"Boscha needs help." Sasha said. "I'm not gonna use violence unless the situation calls for it. I'll catch up."
Luz sighed. "Okay, good luck."
Sasha grinned at Luz. "Trust me." Luz gave her nod before she and Grime continued following Mat.
Sasha cracked her neck and pulled out her sword. "It's showtime." She then pulled out a pen and began drawing on the blade.
Inside the gym, Boscha was talking to Miki. "I mean, are they blind look how good we're doing! I mean, everyone is alive! By the way, what was the name of the one with the scar."
"Luz?"
"No."
"Hunter?"
"No."
"Marcy?"
"Okay, how do you know she has a scar?" Boscha groaned before Sasha entered the gym looking unarmed. "What do you want Sasha?"
"Listen Boscha, I just wish to talk." Sasha said.
"No, she will not talk." Miki said. "She is-"
"Sorry Miki, what was your rank?" Sasha asked. "VP? Vizier? Puppet master?"
"Uh…I'm her Vice President." Miki replied.
"Oh really?" Sasha asked. "Then don't you think Boscha should be the one making the decisions since she's President."
Miki froze. "Yes, but-"
"Look shortie, maybe I'm not making myself clear but you are second banana and she is top banana." Sasha said.
"I don't know what those are." Miki said.
"Okay, she is on top and you are slightly at the bottom of the two way food chain." Sasha said.
"But-"
"But nothing, Miki." Sasha said. "Boscha is boss, you are not. End. Of. Discussion."
Miki was silenced while Boscha was surprised by what she had seen. The three eyed witch smiled. "Hmm, I'm intrigued. Go on, Sasha. Your little performance as impressed me. Go on."
"Look Boscha, I don't know what you're feeling right now, but out there, there are people who aren't thriving." Sasha said. "Inconsistent bedtimes, out of control children, stalls selling bootlegged candy. Plus, there are people trapped by the puppets. Do you have parents?" Boscha looked uncomfortable. "Because if my parents were captured, I'd do everything I could to save them. So come on Boscha, listen to your heart. What is it telling you? Because you are an awesome leader, you're just not showing your true potential. I can see it myself. So, why don't you get that butt off your seat and save everyone?"
Boscha looked uncomfortable but then Miki began whispering in her ear. "She is trying to overthrow you. Can't you see she is trying to manipulate you?"
Boscha narrowed her eyes at the human. "You dare try and overthrow me?! Why should I care what The Collector does to my Moms?!" Boscha froze and looked guilty but then got angry again. "So just shut up!"
Sasha sighed. "No, I'm not manipulating you. You have gotten so used to Miki being around you that you can't tell if she is manipulating you. Believe me Boscha, I'm a master manipulator. I could manipulate someone to commit murder if I could. She is feeding off of your codependency to be around your friends. Because you're alone. I know what it is. My parents were going through a divorce and that was leading me to a dark-"
Boscha stood up and pulled out Pacifica's blaster. "Enough!" She fired it in the direction of Sasha. The three eyed witch panted aggressively while Miki had her mouth wide open.
Sasha was just frozen in place standing beside some smoking laser holes on the floor, wall, door and bleacher. "Uh…Were you trying to shoot me?"
Boscha screamed before tossing it away. "Waste of a weapon. Sasha Waybright, you have insulted me for the last time! I challenge you to a duel! One leader to another! And only the strongest shall be the school president!"
Sasha didn't know what to say and just stared at her with a scowl. She then sighed and pulled out her swords. She got into a pose letting some wind blow her cape. "So be it." She used her feet to activate the glyphs that were drawn on her swords, causing them to activate and for the blades to become engulfed in flames. "One leader to another." She spun her swords.
Boscha was impressed with her ambition and summoned a Grudgeby ball. "Impressive. You can light your weapons on fire. I can do the same thing as well!" She lit her ball on fire and tossed it towards her.
But in one quick, swift motion, Sasha sliced the ball in half. Boscha gasped in horror while Sasha just grinned. "That all you got?"
Boscha threw some fireballs at Sasha, whom began to deflect every hit. The three eyed witch began running towards Sasha while throwing some fireballs to put her off but got kicked in the face in the process.
Boscha growled angrily and then summoned a barrage of fireballs that Sasha had a difficult time of dodging. She deflected some of the hit, but one ended up scorching her shoulder.
Sasha seethed in pain and then got kicked in the chest by Boscha, causing the human to be disarmed of her weapons.
In that moment, Boscha picked up the sword and spun it in her hand. "Now we're even." She pressed the glyph on the blade, causing the flame to consume it.
Sasha gritted her teeth and picked up her other sword. She activated the fire glyph and narrowed her eyes at Boscha while pointing her weapon at her.
"Let's see what you got hot stuff." Sasha said before charging towards Boscha.
Sasha tried attacking Boscha with her sword and in a shocking turn of events, Boscha managed to deflect every hit.
They stopped fighting and began staring at each other. "Nice attack. But you don't know that I had lessons from the former Golden Guard, Malsacc. He's a family friend of my mothers."
"He took out my eye and I still kicked his ass." Sasha said. "So in theory, if I can take down Malsacc, I can take you down."
Boscha grinned. "Prove it to me, sweetie." Boscha charged at Sasha who just deflected all the hits like they were nothing. "Hmm, very good."
Sasha smiled. "You're not too bad yourself hot stuff."
Boscha gave a sly grin. "You know, I should be mad about you calling me hot stuff, but I kind of like it. Since I am hot." She flicked her hair. But her being distracted by her looks gave her the opportunity to strike which the three eyed witch quickly deflected.
"Self entitlement is a huge weakness." Sasha said.
"So you were lying about the hot stuff?" Boscha asked, looking offended.
"Who said I wasn't?" Sasha grabbed Boscha by her shoulder, causing her cheeks to go red. "You know, you got quite the reflexes." Then, Sasha kneed her in the stomach, causing the three eyed witch to fire some more fireballs that Sasha dodged by performing a few backflips.
Boscha growled and fired some fireballs. Sasha dodged the first few balls and then deflected the others.
Boscha charged at Sasha and tried to hit her but then she deflected her hits. They continued deflecting their hits and then the three eyed witch somehow disarmed Sasha of her sword.
Miki grinned at Boscha disarming Sasha and Roka just stared on with no distinct reaction.
Boscha tried hitting Sasha with her blade but then, Sasha flawlessly dodged every one of her hits. Then, Sasha grabbed Boscha by her arm and managed to disarm her of her sword and kneed her in the stomach. Then, she karate chopped the back of her neck and knocked her to the floor.
Boscha was about to crawl toward the sword but Sasha quickly picked it up. She pushed the glyph, causing her blade to light ablaze and to aim it against Boscha's neck.
"So, do you yield, Hot Stuff?" Sasha asked.
Boscha grinned as she narrowed her eyes at Sasha. "Whatever you wish for, Sweetie."
But then, before Sasha could react, she was knocked out by Roka's arm. Miki was on top of Roka, laughing. "That's what I call a knock out."
Back at the Collector's castle, King is walking down a corridor filled with murals on the wall of both sides. His eyes downcast and he looks to be in low spirits. Suddenly, he notices something, gasps, and immediately runs forward.
Odalia was busy kneeling down cleaning up the Collector's puppets. "Oh, it's getting tangled." Odalia groans and gets up, holding the Hooty puppet in her hands.
"Wait! Wait, can you uh... give me that one?" King asked.
Odalia raised a brow. "Okay, sure. Whatever."
King walks down another corridor towards a large cage, carrying puppet Hooty in his arms. Some of the cage's steel bar appears to be bent and broken, and two signs which say 'Keep Out!' and 'Beware of Beast' can be seen placed on the steel bars. In front of the cage, puppets of all Coven Heads except Terra can be seen standing there. To the rightmost of the line-up, Eda can be seen standing there, pretending to be one of the puppets. Suddenly, Eda makes a sound and moves, tongue sticking out.
"Eda, not so loud!" King demanded with his paws out. Eda straightens up and looks at puppet Raine next to her. Then, she steps over the laser beam on the floor, which triggers an alarm. All the Coven Head puppets turn around to look at her, then rush forward, all with spell circles drawn, preparing to attack Eda. King panics. "Wait!" King runs forward and ushers Eda back behind the laser beam. This deactivates the alarm and the puppets, as they all move back to their original position. King and Eda walk into the cage.
"You gotta stop leaving your room! the Collector thinks you're still in Beast mode." King said.
"I know…I just like visiting, Raine." Eda said.
After they left, Odalia is strenuously trying to drag some puppets down a corridor. She stops, groans, and straightens her back. Right as she bends down to grab the ropes, she notices the Coven Head puppets not far away from her. An idea formed in her mind.
Inside the enclosure, Lilith was stirring the elixir in the cauldron, Yunan was writing her story while Pacifica was analysing the robot heads that attacked the palace last night.
"Hmm, there's gotta be an explanation for this." Pacifica said. "Why would the Core send two robots to attack the Collector? They would send an army. Would have been better if I didn't misplace my sonic tool."
"Who cares?" Yunan asked. "What did you think of the finale of my Superhunk story?"
"I saw it coming." Pacifica said.
"What?!" Yunan exclaimed in shock.
"I mean, I know Lola's Dad would have been that military guy that was after Superhunk." Pacifica said.
"Craaaaaaap!" Yunan cried.
Eda and King walked through the curtain. "Hey Lily, guess who King has found?"
"Not now, Edalyn!" Lilith said as she put the elixir in a bowl. "Here, consume this. I think I got it right this time."
Eda drank the soup and was impressed as her feathers retreated. "Lily, it's actually impressive how the taste keeps getting worse. But it does work! Keep it up and you'll put Morton out of business."
"Great! Now can we talk about this?" King presented Lilith the Hooty puppet, causing her some alarm.
Yunan screamed and hid behind Pacifica. "AHHHHH! Puppet!"
"Yunan, that's Hooty." Pacifica said.
"EVEN WORSE!" Yunan screamed.
"Hootsifer!" Lilith got on her knees. "Is he okay? Can he hear me? HOOTSIFER! CAN YOU HEAR ME?!"
Tears dropped on the puppet, causing it to shake and for it to suddenly become sentient. "Sequestered at a darkness like unto death, the dulcet tones of an angel wakes me. Be it you? LULU?!"
"It be! It be!" Lilith cried before hugging the house demon.
"That thing keeps finding new ways to be in my nightmares." Yunan said.
"We could get The Collector to release him from his puppet form." King suggested. "Like Yunan and Lilith."
"No, you are already putting yourself at enough risk just for us." Lilith said firmly.
"Ah, Lily's right." Eda said. "If the Collector finds out you are lying, we could all turn into puppets for good." Then Eda senses something wrong and she looked at King, Pacifica and Yunan who all looked sad. "What's wrong with you ladies and Titan?"
"I just miss Dipper." Pacifica sighed. "I was planning to wear a super revealing a costume to fluster him."
"And I miss my darling Olivia." Yunan said.
"And I just miss Luz." King admitted.
Eda gets down on her knees. "Oh, I miss her too, kiddo. But she's in the Human Realm now with... you know, her real family."
"Don't say it like that!" King demanded. "You don't mean it."
"What Eda is saying is, we will find a way to defeat the Collector." Lilith assured him. "At least Luz is far away from this madness."
King sighed. "Well…I don't think she could be." King showed the tracking device to everyone which made Pacifica's brows raise.
"Dipper?" She reacted.
"Oh bitch, bitch!" Yunan exclaimed. "I swear I'm gonna disembowel you if you say anything about him!"
Back at Hexside, inside the building. Gus peeks out from behind a pillar, and uses an illusion to help him look the other way. Suddenly, a fireball flies past him, and he immediately hides. A few rogue kindergartners run down the corridor holding weapons and shouting.
"Okay, coast is clear." Gus said before Matt continued to lead the group.
"Someone needs to discipline those kids as soon as we free them." Dipper said.
Matt draws a spell circle on the wall behind him, then slams his hands on it. This activates the spell circle, and the walls split apart, revealing a door behind it. He then leads everyone into the Photo class room.
"This is where Jerbo and I have been planning for months to make Hexside more liveable." Matt explained.
Willow notices a notice board with several photos pinned on it. She sees a family photo of hers, and immediately tears up, becoming sad. She then shuts her eyes and shakes her head. "Keep it in! Keep it together!" She then sees a board with Hunter during the Hexside invasion, posing with Flapjack after kicking Adrian's butt. She smiles and takes the photo.
Hunter was sitting on a chair looking sad. Dipper approached him and handed him the shirt he stole. "Here Hunter, you're going to get cold."
Hunter reluctantly put on the shirt where it was revealed that it was one of Eda's Bad Girl Coven shirts. Anne saw this and her eyes instantly lit up.
"Oh I'm getting that shirt!" Anne said.
Dipper, Gus and Marcy looked around the room looking impressed with the work that Matt and Jerbo did. "Plans to convert the gym into a common space? Schedules for rotating guard shifts?" Gus Gasps. "Is that a dinner menu using veges from the Plant Homeroom?"
"This is amazing!" Dipper remarked.
"Food supplies that last for over five years, consistent sleep schedule and hot water?!" Marcy exclaimed. "This is enough to survive the Armageddon. A weird Armageddon. Or….A Weirdmageddon."
Dipper tapped Marcy on the shoulder. "Actually, that name's taken."
"Matt Tholomue, you are an amazing leader." Grime said. "But Sasha would be amazing as well. Or me."
"Was there any doubt?" Matt asked as he flipped his hair.
"Yes, there was." Gus replied.
"Okay Grime, time to take a trip down memory lane." Luz said.
Grime sat down on the chair. "So will this hurt?" Grime asked.
"No, unfortunately." Luz said.
Willow grabbed a pair of tweezers. "Okay, remember, no schemes, no ruses, no plots and definitely no shenanigans." Willow's comment made Grime stare at her in confusion.
"Uh…." Grime reacted.
"It's an in-joke." Amity explained.
"I'm assuming they're clean, right?" Camila asked.
Back at Belos' hideout, the hand sticking out from dirt earlier is still twitching, as the tubes connecting from somewhere into the dirt keeps on flashing blue lights. Suddenly, the hand sinks down, and Belos emerges from the dirt. Based on the shadows on the wall, he should be a grimwalker who looks like Hunter. Belos moans and lifts up his hand, and the skin melts right off.
"No!" Belos cried. "It's not ready!" Belos quickly runs off on all fours while screeching.
He climbs up the horn of the Titan, approaching the Archives. Eventually, he makes it to the building, and climbs through a window. He sees Odalia ordering puppet Raine to carry the puppets around.
"Put that over there! No over there!" Puppet Raine places the puppet in the other pile. She sighs in frustration. "Making a deal with that child was a waste of time! I wish someone would see my potential."
Then, the giant Belos monster towers over the terrible witch and snarls. "I believe there will be some use for you."
Odalia turns to face her former boss and points at herself nervously. "Me?"
"No." Belos looks at puppet Raine and smiles. "You!" He jumps over the shocked Odalia before crashing into Raine's body, taking control of them. They stare at Odalia and began to cackle.
Back at the Photo class room, Grime's memories have been taken out and clipped on a clothesline with clothespins. They are memories from moments when he arrived at the Boiling Isles, when he was fighting his sister as a baby, meeting Sasha, having a drinking contest with Eda and Raine all while Lilith, Yunan, and Hooty cheered them on. There was even a memory of him fighting a shark.
Willow places another memory she just took out on the clothesline, Grime fighting death. Luz stared at the photo with disgust and detest since she wished he would have taken his soul.
"Did you get it?" Grime asked.
"Got it!" Willow dug the photo out of Grime's ear and smiled.
She hung the photo on the clothesline which shows the moment when Grime, Raine and Lilith look down at the teleportation glyph Philip had just drawn on the ground.
Luz stared at the photo with surprise. "Raine? Lilith?" But she shook her head. "Okay, let's just draw that glyph and get on with it! Grime!"
"Mija, try not to be rude." Camila said.
In that moment, Grime got angry and narrowed his eyes at her. "What about Sasha?"
Luz put her hat on. "Why should I care about what you think?"
Grime clenched his fists and marched towards Luz. "Okay, I can take being disrespected for my past deeds which I did due to toad tradition, but this was me being manipulated!"
"The Isles were doomed because of you!" Luz argued.
"Luz…" Camila chided.
"Luz, Grime, what the frog are you doing?!" Anne asked.
"The Coven was created because of you! You taught the light glyph to him! The Day of Unity could be possible because of you!" As Luz spoke, Grime just narrowed his eyes at her. "And the reason why everyone was trapped in the Human Realm was because of you!"
Grime smashed his hand against the wall, causing a block to fall on Matt's head. "Ow!"
Luz froze when she saw tears were falling from his eyes. "Do you know, how I felt due to this mistake? I drank myself into a depressive state both in the Demon Realm and the Human Realm, I had nightmares over my mistake, I even considered letting that shark eat me alive and my depression got so bad that Death literally was after me! The Frogging Grim Reaper! But hey, I'm not the only one who caused this! Lilith and Raine! Do you hate them?!"
Luz froze. "No! I….Don't know!"
"And I didn't teach Phillip the light glyph, it was Lilith!" Grime said as more tears fell. "Why can't you just hate them?! Do you just want someone else to hate instead of yourself?! So you take your depressing insecurities out on someone else?! You know what, forget it! I'm done!"
Grime began to march out towards the room, leaving Luz with guilt. "Grime…I…"
"You said what you said." The toad interjected before leaving the room and walking in the direction of the gym.
As he walked, a kindergartener ran past Grime holding a pole with a flaming underwear.
Grime sighed sadly. "I should see if Sasha won. I mean, I know it was gonna end in a fight. Boscha just seems like a mean old bi-" He bumped into something. "Ow!" He looked up to see Roka towering over him. "Oh, it's you."
Back in the room, Luz was standing in place due to her guilt over yelling at Grime. "Grime…" Amity and Camila looked at her with some saddened expressions. They were both worried over what Luz's guilt could mean later on.
"What are we waiting for?!" Hunter exclaimed. "Let's just draw this damn glyph and get to the skull!"
Willow, Gus and Dipper looked at each other sadly. Before Willow reached into her hair to pull out a picture of Hunter with Flapjack.
"Before we get going, take a look at what I found." She handed him the photo of him and Flapjack. He looked saddened.
"We're all gonna miss Flapjack, but... we know he loved you the most." Gus said.
"Because Flapjack is in here." Marcy points at Hunter's chest.
"And we just wanna let you know, we're all gonna be here for you. Never forget that." Willow said.
Hunter looked at the photo sadly and everyone's smiles turned upside-down. "Hunter, what's wrong?" Luz asked.
"I…Don't know." Hunter replied sadly.
Willow began to panic. "Oh, um... I'm... sorry, I..." She retreats backwards. "…didn't mean to make things worse." Vines emerge from the ground and wraps around Willow's feet. "I'll leave. I'll be right back." She left the room while Hunter just watched on sadly.
Dipper walked up to Hunter with a saddened look. "Hunter…Are you okay?"
"I…I don't know." Hunter said. "I…Am so angry and sad. Why are you talking to me? You didn't handle your grief healthily."
"I know." Dipper said. "And it was a massive mistake. Hunter, not talking about your grief is unhealthy. It's okay to be sad, it's okay to be angry, it's okay to have these negative feelings. Keeping them in is gonna cause you more pain. Just let them out."
Hunter stared at Dipper for a moment before tears began to fall from his eyes. "I…I hate that I never got to say goodbye to him. I wish that Belos was dead! I hate that my last moments with Flapjack was me getting angry at him! I…" His lips quivered. "…I just hate that my last moments with my best friend were the worst moments of my life!" He began sobbing into Dipper's chest as he held on to him.
"There we go." Dipper hugged Hunter. "There we go."
Hunter stopped sobbing and got out of the hug. "I gotta…I gotta find Willow."
"It's okay, I'll find her." Gus assured him. "Willow!" Gus ran out of the class.
Hunter stood up. "Gus, wait!" He chased after him and Willow.
"Guys! Wait!" Marcy began chasing them.
"Wait, where are you going?" Amity asked.
Marcy shrugged her shoulders. "Eh, I feel like I haven't done much since I got here." She began chasing Willow, Gus and Hunter and then tripped. "I'm okay!" She quickly stood up and continued the chase.
Meanwhile, Willow was marching down the corridor ignoring the cries of her friends who only wanted to help her. As she walked, vines were growing below her feet until she was stopped by Boscha, whom was standing by the corridors.
"Trouble with your team, Captain Half-a-witch?" Boscha asked, causing her to stop. "Leading isn't easy, is it? All your time is spent helping the team. Keeping people from fighting. Planning your next move. And Titan forbid YOU show any weakness! Everyone else falls apart."
"Not now Boscha!" Willow demanded.
"You want my advice…"
Willow clenched her fists. "Advice? From you?" She turns around to face Boscha. "You have been nothing but petty and mean to me since I met you!" As she spoke, her eyes glowed green and vines began to grow around her. "What, you want me to give up? You want me to admit how stressed I am? What advice could you possibly give me?" Boscha was alarmed at first but then got back to her cold demeanour.
"Actually, I wanted to advise you to watch your back." Boscha pulled a face cover while Willow turned around. "You never know when your enemy is going to strike."
Back in the photo room, everyone looked unsure of what to do. "Woof! They're not coming back are they?" Matt asked.
Anne stared at everyone with deadpanned stares. "Anyone else want to leave abruptly? Raise your hand." Matt raised his hand. "Put your hand down, Matt." Matt did as Anne said and put his hand down.
"You kids have gone through too much." Camila sighed. "Even when we rescue your families, there's still so much to fix."
"But at least we will be doing it together." Amity said. "Right Luz?"
Luz stared at Amity with a guilty expression, causing Dipper, Anne and Camila some alarm. "Uh oh." Anne whispered.
"Amity, there's something I need to tell you." Luz said glumly. But before she could have the chance, Miki burst in through the wall while riding Roka.
"Ha! So the rumors were true. You were trying to stage a coup, little Matt Tholomue!" Miki said.
"Yeah! We were! 'cause you guys are the worst!" Matt exclaimed.
Miki cackled sinisterly causing Luz to groan. "No, not you!"
Miki removed her cloak, wig and goggles to reveal herself as Kikimora and the cloak off of Roka to reveal it to be her Abomatron.
"Long time no see human!" Kikimora exclaimed. "And I see you brought more."
"Kikimora!" Luz exclaimed.
"Who's this?" Camila asked.
"Kikimora, Belos' suck up." Anne replied. "She willingly gave up her own home to service her master. Who I'm pretty sure she has a crush on. Wow, witch, you a simp."
Kikimora glanced her eyes awkwardly. "No. No! I do not!"
Dipper pulled out his laser blaster and aimed it at Kikimora. "I knew there was something off about you. Manipulating a poor girl due to her insecurities? You remind me of someone I despised so much." He briefly saw Kikimora as Preston all while she laughed.
Dipper sniffed the air and gagged. "I don't like that smell." Anne said.
"Oh….Crap, sleeping nettles." Luz said as she and the group got woozy.
Boscha entered holding an elixir of sleeping nettles. "Most important rule of Grudgby: 'Always expect the unexpected'".
Luz, Camila, Amity, Anne, Dipper and Matt pass out due to the sleeping nettles. But before they all passed out, the last thing they saw was Kikimora cackling and Boscha looking a tad bit guilty.
Back at the Collector's castle, Belos/Raine (Baine) walks down a corridor intent on finding The Collector. A bit of his goo flows out from the eye and rolls down their cheek, and Belos promptly flicks it off.
In the Collector's bedroom, Belos opens the door and floats down, standing next to the Collector's bed. They opens their palm and release some goo from it, intending to harm the Collector. The Collector's eyes suddenly shoots open in alert, and they immediately fling their blanket towards Belos, wrapping them around with it and immobilizing them.
"You're not supposed to move on your own!" He exclaimed angrily. "How did you break your spell?"
"The spell isn't broken." Baine moves their hair to the side to reveal the star on their forehead. "See? You take such good care of us Coven Heads, Collector, keeping us safe in the Archives. It was the uh... power of your kindness that brought me to life, so I could tell you-"
"What is it?" The Collector interjected.
"You're in danger." Baine's words made The Collector's anger vanish and it turned to intrigue.
Back at Hexside, Kikimora opens the door to the Detention pit and walks over in her Abomatron, and drops Luz, Dipper, Anne, Amity, Camila, and Mattholomule into the pit, who were wrapped in a ball of Abomination goo.
The Abomination splatters as soon as they made impact, freeing them. They looked up to see Anne and Grime playing rock, paper scissors.
"Hey guys." Sasha said.
"And how did negations with Boscha go?" Anne sarcastically.
"Oh, I challenged her to a duel and I won until that kitten knocked me out." Sasha replied while flipping off the demon.
"And I walked into Roka on accident." Grime said.
"So, we're all going well." Dipper sarcastically remarked.
Luz narrows her eyes at Kikimora and Boscha. "What gives Kikimora? Are you working with the Collector?!"
"The days of Kikimora the underling are over." Kikimora replied. "I prefer partnership such as ours. We need to establish our rule now, for the well-being of future generations." She gestured toward Boscha who stared down at the group.
"See, this is what I was talking about." Sasha said.
"I'm still catching up." Camila said. "What is that kitten talking about?"
"She is manipulating Hot Stuff over there to control the future of the Isles." Sasha said.
"Which is what…" Luz shook her head. "I'm sorry, did you just refer to Boscha as Hot Stuff?"
"She shoots fire." Sasha retorted.
"Okay." Luz said while staring at Sasha with tad disgust before turning back to her mother. "Her plan is unoriginal because it was what Belos did since SHE DOES NOT HAVE A HINT OF ORIGINALITY LIKE A REMAKE!"
Kikimora cackled. "Oh, I'm going to enjoy this." She jumped into the pit. "You think I'd just drop you in and walk away? No, I think I'll take you out myself!" She aimed her cannons at the group until Dipper pulled his blaster out and began blasting the armour, causing Kikimora to dive out of the way and then fired a shot towards Dipper, shooting the blaster out of his hand.
Amity narrowed her eyes at Boscha. "Come on Boscha, this is too much even for you!"
Boscha glances to her side, then turns around and walks away, closing the Detention pit door behind her. "Oh that bitch!" Anne said.
Anne and Sasha pull out their swords, Dipper pulls out his laser sword, while Grime pulls out his warhammer. "Time to die you kitten!" Grime exclaimed.
Kikimora fires up her cannon, then fires at Luz. However, Luz is able to stop it with vines from a Plant glyph. She then runs off, and Amity proceeds to attack Kikimora by summoning Abomination goo. Kikimora catches the goo with the Abomatron's hand, then prepares to fire it back.
Amity gasps and pushes Camila aside, both falling to the ground. Anne and Sasha sliced the Abomination with their fire swords. Dipper did the same while Grime hit the Abomination with his warhammer causing it to hit the demon in her face.
"Strike, you're out!" Dipper exclaimed.
But one unfortunately was charging towards Matt. He attempts to fight, but the pile of goo easily buries him underneath it. He pops out from the goo. "I don't deserve this!" Grime and Sasha quickly pulled him out of the goo.
Kikimora attempts to pull off the vines wrapping around her cannon, but more vines emerge from above and wraps around her Abomatron. Up above, Luz has activated more Plant glyphs, as is trying to hold on for dear life.
"I think I remember the ice glyph." Camila said as she drew it with a bone.
"Mama, wait!"
But she didn't listen, Camila draws the Ice glyph on the ground, and slams her hand onto it, activating the glyph. A large piece of ice block shoots up and hits the pit door, destroying it.
"You should have gone for the head." Anne said.
"I think this might help but we have to improvise." Dipper said. "Run!"
Rocks and rubble start falling all around the Detention pit and Kikimora shields herself with the Abomatron's arm. Amity wraps herself, Sasha, Grime and Matt in a ball of Abomination goo and roll away. Dipper and Anne run while Luz pounces towards Camila and pushes her backwards before the falling stones hit both of them.
Once the smoke disperses, Luz sits up. "Mama? Amity?"
Kikimora climbs out of the rubble and smiles with sinister glee. "Don't think you can escape!"
"Hey Kinky-Mora!" Kikimora looked up and saw Anne, Dipper and Camila standing on some rubble.
"Uh…Bruja toss!" Camila kisses her bat, then throws it towards Kikimora, hitting her right in the head and knocking her out. Camila then runs away with Luz, Dipper and Anne. Luz picking up her bat from the ground on the way.
"Kinkymora?" Dipper asked Anne.
"What?" Anne reacted. "It's an insult."
In some other part of the detention pit, Amity, Sasha, Grime and Matt were walking down the corridor looking for everyone.
"Luz? Camila?" Amity yelled.
"Anne? Mar-Mar?" Sasha yelled.
"Gus? Willow?" Grime yelled.
"Uh…Everyone else whose names I can't remember?" Matt yelled.
Boscha suddenly lands in front of the group, causing them to gasp in shock. She then stands up and stares at them.
"Hi, sweetie." Boscha said.
"Want a rematch, Hot Stuff?" Sasha asked.
"Please don't flirt with her." Amity said. "Let us go, Boscha."
"Oh, Amity. I already let you go. Many times. When you stop hanging out with the group, when you left the grudgby team, when you disappeared for months!" Boscha said.
"Okay that one wasn't her fault." Grime said.
"What are you saying Boscha?" Amity asked.
"I'm saying…." She suddenly got on her knees and grabbed her hand. "…Please come back."
"Huh?" Everyone reacted in disgust.
"The others are gone, but... we can still be a team! We can rule New Hexside together. It'll be just like the old days! And maybe even better!"
Grime took a glance at Amity. "Her? I thought you'd be more compatible with Sasha."
Amity stared at Grime in disgust while Sasha pondered that idea. But then, the ground shook. Which was the signal for Amity to walk past her three eyed ex friend.
"We don't have time for this." Amity said.
"No!" Boscha tackled Amity. "I won't let you go!"
"Let me go!" Amity demanded.
Then Sasha tackled Boscha off of Amity and they tumbled down a small hill together. They stood up once they were at the bottom with Sasha pulling her sword out and tossing the other towards Boscha.
Amity, Grime and Matt stood on the ledge to watch where the fight would go. "I'm betting Sasha."
Matt grumbled. "I wanted to fight Boscha."
Sasha and Boscha began to circle around each other while aiming their respective swords at each other. "I wasn't done with you, you cheating witch." Sasha said.
Boscha cracked her neck. "Neither was I, Sweetheart."
Sasha and Boscha began to charge at each other with their swords out. They clashed blades against one another and engaged in their second duel.
Boscha tried firing some fireballs but Sasha only dodged it and kicked Boscha in the stomach. Then the three eyed witch grabbed Sasha by her wrist and tried to force her weapon out of her hand, but the toad lieutenant just kicked her in the leg.
Then they clashed blades with each other while narrowing their eyes at one another. Boscha snarled at her with her teeth snarling. Sasha then took the opportunity to poke her in the eye on her forehead, causing the witch to stumble.
"Ow! My eye!" Boscha screamed. "Do you have any idea how much I wish to kill you now?!" She summoned a giant fireball that she was about to throw at her.
Grime got in the way by smashing his warhammer right beside her, causing the witch to stumble. The witch was about to punch the toad but, Matt summoned a wall that she punched, causing her knuckles to bruise.
"Ow! Why you…."
But before she could throw a fireball, Amity showed up in front of her, startling the three eyed witch from launching her attack.
Then, Amity summoned an Abomination fist that she used to punch Boscha to the ground. The t Grudgeby Captain wiped her mouth and saw blood on her hand, causing her to panic.
"Amity….What are you?" Boscha asked. "Ever since you met that damn human, you changed. I hardly know you anymore. And this…." Boscha began sobbing. "…Why can't things go back the way they were?"
Amity stared at her old friend with sympathy. "I can't be the witch I was before Boscha. I changed. You can as well. We will rescue your Grudgeby team, we just need your help." Boscha began to sweat, not sure what decision to make.
Sasha then walked up to the three eyed witch. "I think you know what the choice is."
Somewhere else in the Detention pit, Hunter desperately tries to wake Gus and Marcy up by grabbing them by the collars.
"Gus! Marcy! Gus! Can you two wake up?!" Hunter exclaimed.
"Woah!" Marcy reacted.
Gus screamed and began running until he stopped. "What happened?!" Gus asked. "Boscha!"
"I remember smelling something strong." Marcy said.
"Sleeping nettles." Gus explained.
"Yeah, and... I think I saw Kikimora, which is definitely a bad sign." Hunter points to his left. "That way is all caved in so-"
Gus and Marcy began running towards the opposite direction. "Already thinking, my guy!" Marcy said.
"I'm ready to kick some new Hexside butt!" Gus said as he and Marcy continued to run.
Hunter watches as his friends ran away. Then began to hug his hands and knees due to stress. "Oh, Flapjack... Everyone's on edge and I don't know what to say. I wish you were here." He then noticed a vine wrap around his left arm and just breaks it off. "Weird." More vines emerge and wrap around Hunter's arms.
Suddenly he hears Gus and Marcy cry out in surprise. "Woah!"
Hunter immediately stands up and runs towards the sound's direction. "Gus! Marcy!"
He notices something and gasps, stopping in his tracks. In front of him, Gus is tightly wrapped in vines, hanging upside-down and looking terrified. Marcy was standing in the middle sinking into the vines and struggling to free herself.
"Dude! Your girlfriend!" Marcy cried as her eyes flashed green.
On the ground, Willow is wrapped in vines too. She turns around to look at Hunter, eyes glowing green. "Oh…Babe!" Willow breaks a vine and draws a spell circle. "I had a little run-in with Boscha and got stuck down here. Gus and Marcy just... surprised me."
Hunter began running forward to help his girlfriend. "What's going on?!"
"She's losing herself!" Marcy replied frantically.
"I got it under control." Willow tried drawing a spell circle to free everyone but it just made Marcy sink into the ground quicker and for the vines to tighten around Gus.
"I don't think it worked!" Gus said. He tried to mutter something but the vines wrap around his mouth.
"I can do this! I can do this! I can do this! I can do this!" As she speaks, Willow frantically tries to pull away the vines on the ground, but more vines start to appear all around her. Hunter tries to approach her, but he's promptly wrapped up in vines too. Willow suddenly notices that Hunter is gone too and becomes scared.
"Hello? Anyone here?" Nothing but the vines and sound of people murmuring.
Back in the Collector's bedroom, Baine and The Collector were staring at each other intensely. Then they began floating, laughing. "Me in danger?! Good one!" He lands on his bed with Baine sitting down next to them.
"It's true. Someone very close to you is planning their betrayal, right- now." Baine said.
"You don't mean King, right?" The Collector asked nonchalantly. "I don't know if you've noticed, but... he's my best friend."
"And where is he now?" Baine asked.
The Collector looked hesitant but then pulled his hood down.
At Eda and Lilith's hideout, a pair of eyes appear on the wall as the Collector spies on King. The Baby Titan is staring at a scroll that will kill of The Collector with Eda and Lilith. As Lilith read, she was hugging puppet Hooty with her left arm.
"Alright, King." Lilith said. "According to these uh... borrowed books, titan magic can actually cancel out the Collector's. And that's why his predecessors... Well, uh..."
King sighed solemnly. "Wiped us out."
"The important thing is that there is hope to defeat him. Maybe even trap him again."
"No! We can't do that!" King said.
The Collector pulls their hood up and stared at Baine. "See? He's looking out for me."
"Why not?" Asked the voice of Eda.
"Cause it didn't work." They became alarmed and pulled their hood down to spy on everyone again. "If we want things to go back to normal, the Collector needs to be stopped for good! And I think I know a more permanent solution." He then noticed Pacifica staring at the tracking device that was on King.
"Could they be here?" Pacifica asked Yunan.
"I mean, I hope so." Yunan said. "Dipper, Luz, Amity and maybe my darling Lady Olivia." She then looked at the fake Olivia she made. "Sorry we might have to end things, fake Olivia."
The Collector pulled their hood down and sighed sadly. "That didn't sound friendly. And is the human here."
"Oh she is." Baine replied.
"What?!" The Collector began hovering to their face. "Why is she here?!"
"Obviously, to help King put an end to you." They began to walk away. "And your little games."
He points an accusing finger at Baine! "No! You're lying! You're fibbing! You're a big fibber! You're a big fibbing, fib! You're lying!…" He then looked uncertain. "…right?" Baine grins at them with sinister intentions.
Back in Eda's hideout, King was continued speaking to everyone. "The Collector is just a little kid. A scary, powerful one, but... also... sad, and alone. I don't know, this whole time, I was scared of making him mad, but... I think I can relate to him." Eda walks up to her son and smiles at him. "Let me talk to him. Immortal being to semi-immortal being. It's worth a try if no more people get hurt. Right?"
Eda pulls her son in for a hug and kisses his skull. "Ah, you're growing up kid. I'm proud of you."
Yunan meanwhile continued to cry on Pacifica, whom was getting close to commit murder. "My darling Olivia!"
Pacifia's eye twitched. "Dipper, if you're near, get me the hell out of here as fast as you can."
Back at somewhere outside, a few of the Collector's spies fly past above, not noticing a stone wall being destroyed and someone running out.
Then, a powerful blast shoots out from the hole, and destroys everything around. It came from Kikimora on her Abomatron, with the cannon just recently fired. She's getting furious as she controls her Abomatron to move forward. "Come out humans!" She tore a tree. "You can't hide forever!" She continued to tear the forest apart to find every one.
But once the coast was clear, an invisible force hid behind a bush and exhaled to reveal themselves as Luz, Camila, Dipper and Anne taking in deep breaths.
"Man, I will not survive deep sea diving!" Anne exclaimed.
Luz screamed. "Aaahh! I did it again! My whole plan fell apart!" She tossed her hate aside.
"Mija, what are you talking about?"
"It doesn't matter." Luz tries to walk away but then Camila grabs her arm.
"Yes it does!" She pulls Luz down so she could get to eye level with her. "You don't want to leave do you?"
"No I don't!" Luz said.
"And you do?!" Anne exclaimed. "What about everyone else? Your girlfriend, your friends, your surrogate mother, your surrogate brother and….Your Hooty? Luz, you could have the chance to see these people again! Compare that to me, I will never see my frog family again!" Anne had tears falling as she reminisced the Plantars. "But you could have the chance, don't blow it."
"Luz, if I was living here I wouldn't wanna leave." Dipper said. "The Demon Realm needs you more than you realise."
"But-"
"You keep messing up?" Camila interjected. "Messing up is a part of living! You don't think I've ever messed up before? Ha! Okay, well, once I scheduled my wisdom tooth surgery the day before my wedding. Oh, then there was that time I got road rage and didn't realize I was cursing out your new principal. And, you know, I sold energy drinks for a pyramid scheme for 3 years! And of course, I was convinced we should move to Gravesfield to be closer to that fancy hospital. You know how that ended."
The mention of Manny got Luz and Camila to tear up. Then Camila and Luz looked up to Dipper who looked regretful about not saving Manny all because he was saving him. "I'm sorry." Dipper said.
Camila gave Dipper a sympathetic smile. "He'd jump in front of a bullet for anyone." They heard the sound of Kikimora blasting which caused Anne some alarm.
"Hurry the pep talk along, lady." Anne said.
"And worst of all, I didn't stand up for you when you needed me most." Camila sniffled. "I forgot about the Astral Oath."
The mention of that oath made Luz's brow perk. "The what?"
"It's a promise." Dipper said.
"What?"
"Cosmic Frontier." Anne said.
Luz's eyes went wide as Camila began to recite the oath while retrieving the witch hat. "The Astral Oath is a promise made between Captain Avery and his family, to love and protect each other just as they are... Through supernovas, and solar winds."
Luz smiled. "Mom, are you secret nerd?"
Camila returns to her daughter and gets on her knees to put her hat back on. "I had a hard time growing up. I was afraid you would too. My biggest mistake was trying to protect you, by changing this beautiful Good Witch into something she wasn't." As she spoke, she caressed her daughter's face. Luz, feeling touched by her words began to sob.
Dipper and Anne watched on, tears falling from their own eyes at Camila's words. "Wow, I wish all parents were like this." Dipper said.
"If I have kids, I'm gonna aspire to become that woman." Anne said. "Just don't tell my Mom."
Unbeknown to them, the egg in Luz's fanny pack began to glow. "I think I just realised something." The egg began to crack. "I don't know why it took me long to figure it out." The egg grew brighter and the cracks widened. "The only thing I wanted…" The group, besides Luz, noticed the egg glowing and widened their eyes. "..Was to be understood." She lifts up her head, teary-eyed, finally having a moment of epiphany.
Beams of purple light emerges from the crack on the Palisman egg, which then explodes, creating a force field so powerful and bright that it shoots up straight into the sky. Kikimora notices the bright purple flash behind her, and turns around to look at it. She then grins evilly.
After the blinding flash fades, Luz opens her eyes, sees something and gasps. Everyone else did the same and stared at it with a hypnotised stare.
"Holy frog." Anne said.
In front of Luz, her staff floats in the air, with sparkles and clouds spiraling around the Palisman. The Palisman itself is also shrouded by the mass of clouds.
"What kind of Palisman is it?" Dipper asked.
"I don't know." Luz replied as she approaches her staff as it float down toward her. She grabs the staff, sending an energy field upwards.
Camila then approaches as the group look at the shrouded mass atop the staff in awe. The cloud stops rotating, and becomes a purple orb.
"An orb?" Anne reacted. "Kind of anti climatic."
Suddenly, Kikimora bursts through the wall behind them. "Found you!"
"Shit!" Dipper and Anne exclaimed before they began running with Luz and Camila.
Back in the detention pit, Willow was still alone, the vines currently still surrounding her. "Hello?" No response. "Hunter? Gus? Marcy?" Marcy and Gus gave muffled responses as the vines began to suffocate them. "I can do this! I can do this!"
Willow draws a spell circle, but it summons more vines instead, causing her to scream in surprise. Somewhere behind Willow, Hunter, who is also wrapped up in vines, opens his eyes and stares at Willow, his girlfriend, breaking down right in front of him and him feeling helpless.
"I can't do this! I can't do this!" Willow cried as she drops to her knees and more vines began to consume her. "I can't control my own magic. I can't help my friends. Ugh, why have I been trying to be someone different? Boscha's right, I'll always just be... half-a-witch Willow."
As Willow speaks, the vines start to wrap around her, eventually completely concealing her making it impossible for her to escape.
Hunter tears up as he sees this happening, his girlfriend was broken and giving up. Suddenly, his entire body starts to glow a bright yellow, and he balls up his fist.
And then, with a scream, he breaks free from the vines and teleports forward, crashing through the vines Willow's been wrapped in and brings her out. He holds her tight in a hug as begins tearing up.
"You didn't make anything worse, you didn't do anything wrong!" Hunter tearfully stared at his girlfriend. "You guys mean the world to me, you mean the world to me and I... I didn't know how to say that yet. Just please don't call yourself that ever again. You've been holding in a lot, haven't you?"
Willow stares at Hunter with a stunned expression all while her eyes still glowed green. "Willow!" Gus and Marcy dig themselves out of the vines.
"People who help also need help!" Marcy exclaimed. "Anne helped a lot but she always watched out for her mental health as well!"
"It's okay!" Gus assured her as more vines began to bury him. "Let it out!" Marcy gave Willow a thumbs up as she sunk back into the vines.
Willow took a deep breath as tears fell out of her eyes. "I just miss my Dads!" The entire ground starts to shake as Willow starts bawling. Hunter looks at the vines crashing down all around them with a stupefied expression on his face. One of Gus' illusions then pops up and Hunter turns around to look at it.
"Hey! Marcy and I are over here!" The illusion said.
Hunter grabs Willow by the shoulder and teleports over to Gus. He then grabs Gus and teleports away before a large rock crashes into where Gus was at. He then teleports to Marcy and grabs her by the arm.
Hunter then teleports and moves upwards in a zig-zag pattern, until the trio finally gets out of the cave. However, they stopped mid-air, so they all fall towards the ground screaming. They then roll down a slope, before coming to a stop.
The group then pants as they began to catch their breath. "Wow. I do not wanna see what Amity is like." Marcy said.
As Hunter sat up Willow wrapped herself in a massive hug and began sobbing into his shoulder. "On top of that, Boscha made me feel worthless, Flapjack died, seeing the Isles in disarray and…" She choked up. "…I almost lost you!"
Tears fell from Hunter as the last words from his girlfriend struck a core with him. He teared up before returning the hug. "I'm not going anywhere. I promise. I will never leave you!"
After a few moments of hugging each other, Marcy coughed, interrupting the two. "Uh…Not to be a bummer or anything but…You just teleported."
"What?" Hunter reacted.
"You have magic!" Gus exclaimed.
"When did you get those powers?" Marcy asked.
"I don't know." Hunter replied. "Is it the magic of friendship?"
Willow smiled. "No. Flapjack. The magic of Flapjack."
Marcy smiled. "Oh my gosh! He really is in you! My metaphor was actually literal."
"I guess he'll never leave you!" Willow places her hand on Hunter's chest causing him to choke up.
He suddenly notices a bright purple flash to his right, and immediately teleports away with Gus and Willow. But then, it accidentally hit Marcy.
Marcy sat up with her hair being very spiky. "Uh…What was that?!"
They looked to see where the blast came from and saw Luz on the ground with a glowing purple staff in her hand while Dipper, Anne and Camila looked on with alarm.
"Whoops! Still getting used to it." Luz said. "Sorry Marcy."
"Uh…Luz has a staff now." Gus said.
"Why does that worry me?" Willow asked.
Then, from the bushes, Kikimora arrives aiming her cannons. "I'm done playing hide and seek!" She fires her cannons and Dipper fires back. Willow immediately summons vines from the ground and surfs forward, blocking the attack from Kikimora with the vines. She then draws a spell circle and smiles.
"Yup, that's it." Willow said.
With her magic powers, Willow commands the trees to fall and crash towards Kikimora's Abomatron. She then uses a vine to grab the Abomatron's left hand, and slaps Kikimora with it. Furiously, Kikimora fires her cannon at Willow, but missed.
Dipper fired some shots at Kikimora but nothing could be done but slow her down. As he continued firing, Gus arrived summoning two spell circles.
"Can you handle her?" Dipper asked.
"It's okay, she's child's play." Gus replied while Marcy began firing a flaming arrow at the demon with her crossbow.
Gus uses the illusions to create three Willow's flying about. They are enough to distract Kikimora that she destroys two.
Anne approached Marcy. "So, what did we miss on your end?"
Willow draws a spell circle as she flies on her staff, but some Abomination goo fired by Kikimora hits her, knocking her off her staff. She screams as she starts falling. Hunter immediately teleports upwards and catches Willow with his arms. After landing, Willow gives Hunter a quick kiss on his cheek and they briefly stare at each other.
The group stared at Hunter with surprised expressions. "Hunter can teleport without Flapjack?" Dipper reacted.
"Oh I missed a lot!" Luz exclaimed angrily.
Kikimora began to approach the group. "I don't need this wretched school to start my own empire. I'll make my own! And I'll start by taking you apart, piece by piece, brat by brat!" As the group were prepared to take her on, two Grudgeby balls hit the demon and her Abomatron.
"Hey! Ickymora!" Sasha called out.
On a cliff nearby, a group of Hexside students stare down at Kikimora angrily, some holding fiery Grudgeby balls in their hands. They are holding a banner which says H.A.S., which is short for Human Appreciation Society.
"Stop right Miki!" Matt commanded. "I can't say I'm surprised by this. And as for you, Roka…" The robot points at itself. "…I know there's nothing but chemistry between us." He summons a Grudgeby ball. "But be as it may I-"
"Doofus, that's a robot!" Grime exclaimed.
Matt shrugged his shoulders before he and the other Hexside students attacked Kikimora. Grime, Sasha and Amity run towards Luz with the latter taking her hand and running.
"They'll hold her off!" Amity said. "We'll get to the skull."
Sasha looked back at Boscha. "Hey Hot Stuff, we aren't done."
"Whatever. I didn't do this for any of you. I just want to do normal things, and look great, and play grudgby with MY TEAM!" Boscha throws another Grudgeby ball at Kikimora. "And good luck, Sweetie."
As Sasha ran, Willow stared at Sasha with confused disgust. "Boscha?!"
"Are you flirting with Boscha?!" Gus exclaimed in shock.
Sasha shrugged her shoulders. "Well she shoots fire."
"No, Sasha is using a method I call flirting with the enemy." Grime said. "It's a toad method to entice and confuse the enemy. Funny that Sasha learnt that because I never taught her." Sasha took some nervous glances.
Luz suddenly stops as the others continue running towards the skull, and takes out the photo taken from Grime's head earlier to memorize the teleportation glyph combo. She then keeps the photo and starts drawing the glyph combo on the ground, but before she can finish, the orb glows, and the staff starts flying, much to Luz's delight. "I don't know what you are but I can tell we are going to make great friends!"
Luz continues drawing the glyph combo on the ground while flying on the staff. Upon seeing this, Amity, Gus, and Willow summon their staffs and use it to help with drawing the glyph combo. Soon, the drawing is finished and everyone is standing on it.
"Okay, Grime, you better hurry!" Luz said.
Then, Kikimora manages to fight off the students and began to march towards the group. "This my empire and you will OBEY ME!"
Kikimora fires from her cannon towards Luz and rest. Upon seeing that, Grime immediately slams the glyph with his hands, activating it. The glyph combo successfully teleports everyone away to the skull before Kikimora's fireball hits them.
Somewhere inside the skull. Everyone except Luz had kept their eyes shut tight. Eventually, Camila and Hunter open their eyes and look above in surprise. Part of the Archives can be seen floating above.
Grime smiled with joy. "We made it!" Grime cried.
"We made it!" Gus cried.
"Oh my gosh!" Willow screamed as she and Amity hugged each other.
"I can't believe it worked!" Sasha hugged Anne and Marcy. "I can't believe it!"
Camila playfully jabs at Hunter. "Oh you beamed us up, eh O'Bailey?" Hunter, Gus, Willow and Grime's eyes lit up and smiled with glee.
"A fellow fan?!" Grime exclaimed.
"Beam us up!" They began to chant. "Beam us up! Beam us up!"
As they celebrated, Luz was staring at her Palisman in awe. "Guys?" Everyone turned to Luz and began to approach her as she held her staff. "Come meet my Palisman."
"What kind of magic creature will it be?" Camila asked. "A dragon?"
"A frog?" Anne guessed.
"A newt?!" Marcy guessed.
"A serpent?" Amity guessed.
"An otter?" Hunter guessed.
"A bat?" Gus guessed.
"An owl?" Willow guessed.
"A toad?" Sasha guessed.
"A cat?" Dipper guessed.
"A toad?" Grime guessed. "Oh wait, we already guessed that."
Luz smiles. "You're all close." A serpent like creature flies out from the mist and transforms itself into a bat, then a scorpion, then a dragon, before reverting back to its true form: A cat-snake like creature. "She's a Snakeshifter. Her name is Stringbean and she is perfect!"
Stringbean flies down to Luz's palm as she speaks. She rubs herself on Luz's face as she caresses her.
Stringbean then flies towards Amity, Grime, Willow and Gus, much to their delight. Ghost, Clover, and Emmiline follow behind Stringbean as she flies off.
Grime smiled at the sight while Luz gave the toad Captain a smile. "Hey Grime." Grime turned to face Luz. "I forgive you." Grime was surprised but then smiled at the girl.
"Thank you." Grime said.
Camila runs over to the Palismen as she began to cuddle them. "¡Pero mira que preciosos mis bebés! ¡Ven, ven!" Camila cried.
As Hunter watched on with a smile, Willow walked up to him and held on to his waist. "Thanks for what you said, Hunter. You mean the world to me as well." She blushed. "I know people say this is too soon, but I want to say I love you."
Hunter stared at his girlfriend with a stunned look before he began to sob. "I love you too." He held Willow by her shoulders and the two shared a kiss.
Dipper watched on with a smile. He looked up at the Archives and smiled. "I'm coming Pacifica. I promise."
Stringbean flies back to Luz as Amity also approaches Luz. Stringbean rubs Luz on the face, causing her to grin happily. Noticing Amity in front of her, Luz turns Stringbean into her staff form.
"I can't wait to show everyone." Luz said as she took Amity's hand.
"They're going to love her." Amity said. "Although Hooty might eat her."
"King might too." Luz said with realisation.
"Eda might three." Amity said.
"I might four." Grime said.
"Domino might five." Anne said.
Then, the group took glances at each other before laughing. As they laughed, they were unknowingly being watched on by Baine and the Collector whom were staring at them with narrow stares.
"What did I tell you?" Baine leans down. "Luz has come to help King get rid of you for good. What will you do, Collector?"
The Collector began to float upwards as their eyes glowed a sinister red. "I think I want to play a new game." He snapped his fingers, ready to play his next game.
