"There it is, the beginning of my new plan for world domination!" Jack grinned as he looked down at the city he was flying over in his jet.
After the events of last night, Jack decided to pack up and head out first thing in the morning. Before he embarked on his big day, though, he realized he needed a destination. So he turned to Villains Quarterly, the premier villain magazine. All he had to do was find the section on hottest properties for evil and he had his answer.
"Miracle City!" Jack couldn't help but grin at the sight of the crime-ridden city. Miracle City was infamous for being a cesspool of villains and criminals. Many heroes had tried to tame the wild city, but none had succeeded in accomplishing this goal.
With all the villains and heroes down there, there's bound to be some mystical artifacts! Now, the moment of truth...Jack turned on his magic tracker and waited as it booted up. He had his fingers crossed and all his muscles tensed.
Beep
"YES!!" Spicer could barely contain his joy as his radar came to life and energy signatures appeared. "My machine didn't blow up! But now I need to make sure it can actually find magic. Luckily, there is a signal nearby. Time to go hunting!"
ONE BAD PARKING JOB LATER!
"The signal is coming from there." Jack looked up from his tracker to his destination, Leone Middle School. "Well, evil waits for no one."
As Jack looked around the school, he was...impressed with it. It was a school truly befitting of one of the most crime-infested places on Earth. It looked decent on the outside, but upon closer inspection, Jack could see where the cesspool of crime took root. Bullies and punks lined the schoolyard; he could see a kid being hung from a window sill by his underwear, and children ran around smashing property without a care. One of those children even had a chainsaw for an arm!
"Wow… this place is awesome! A perfect school for a rising criminal. Doesn't change the fact I hate school though. Now then, on to work! Jackbots!" As Jack yelled his command, his machines fell in line behind him. "It's best if I keep a low profile, so we need to be inconspicuous and not draw too much attention to ourselves. Are you ready? Because it's go time."
'Man, am I bored.' A young boy sat in his class, attempting to balance a pencil on his nose. He had entirely tuned out his teacher and focused solely on his little activity. He stared at the pencil with his brown eyes, one of which had a noticeable scar. He ran a hand through his curly brown hair and straightened out his leather jacket. With his balancing skills, he managed to keep the pencil upright throughout. 'I'm doing pretty good. Maybe I could beat a record here and give some purpose to this day.'
"Manuel Rivera!" The stern voice in front of him shocked the young boy, making him fall out of his seat. "Am I boring you, Mr. Rivera?" She continued. "If so, perhaps you can find more entertainment in the principal's office."
"Hold it!" The teacher and students reared back at Manny's serious voice, wondering what had happened to make him not act like a goofball.
It was then that Manny stood up with his head held high... a little too high. And then everyone noticed the pencil on his nose.
"Give me some time!" Manny exclaimed. "It didn't fall off, so let's see how long I can keep it up! This is the most exciting thing to ever happen in this class!" The class couldn't help but laugh after Manny's explanation; they found his reasoning stupid, but also because he had insulted the teacher by calling her more boring than a pencil.
The teacher on the other hand wasn't amused. She took her finger and pushed the pencil off Manny's nose. When Manny made eye contact with the teacher for the first time that day (and month) he saw the peeved look in her eye before she spoke, "Principal's office. Now."
Manny sighed and headed for the door. "Fine, Principal Tonino is nicer than you anyway."
But before Manny could reach the door, the teacher spoke up again in a slightly happier tone. "Oh! That reminds me, Mr. Tonino is busy today with the zebra donkey's vet appointment. You'll just have to go to Vice Principal Chakal instead."
Manny released a much heavier sigh. He opened the door and began to exit the room, before he closed the door behind him, he took the time to whisper a jab at his teacher out of earshot. "Perra."
"What was that young man?" The lady questioned as she shot a glance at him.
"Nothing!" Manny said as he quickly closed the door and ran down the hall away from the room.
Once he was a good distance away and felt no danger of incurring any more of his teacher's wrath, he took a deep breath and headed to Chakal's office.
As he walked through the school, on his way to get chewed out by Chakal, Manny considered his options. 'Okay, option 1, go to Chakal, get yelled at, threatened, and mocked by the guy who has a personal vendetta against you and whose life goal is to get you expelled and make you suffer. Option 2, is just don't go, but have Chakal call your parents and get you expelled for another unexcused absence.' Manny sighed and looked up at the sky. "Can't I get a break this one time!" He shouted to the sky.
And like a prayer being answered the wall to the school courtyard blew open before a teen with red hair and pale skin walked into the outside room with an entourage of robots.
After his entrance, he opened his mouth and let out his angelic voice...
"MIDDLE SCHOOL CHILDREN, COWER IN FEAR BEFORE JACK SPICER, EVIL BOY GENIUS!" Ok, so he let out the voice of a puberty stricken teen.
The sight of the young villain bursting into the school was great for Manny for two reasons; it gave him an excuse to avoid Chakal, and it made the day less boring.
Manny walked up to the teenager who was now focused on some sort of device. Since the teenager was so engrossed in his device, Manny cleared his throat to get his attention. The teenager looked up at him with a bored expression.
"Hello there, villain! I am-"
"Listen kid I don't have time for this, I'm trying to fix something here" Manny was interrupted by Jack when he tried to introduce himself as el Tigre and proceeded to kick his butt. After telling Manny to go away Jack returned his attention to his machine again. "Darn thing, I had it working a moment ago."
As Jack tinkered with his machine, Manny was growing increasingly irritated with Jack's apparent disregard for his concerns. 'I tried to be nice about it, but maybe I should just go straight to the part where I kick his sorry butt.'
"Okay then, prepare to face El Tigre!" Manny grabbed his belt buckle and spun it. The belt buckle activated his transformation into El Tigre. After said transformation, Jack was now paying close attention to El Tigre.
"So you're a superhero?" Jack said sarcastically. "That's great, just great." Normally, Jack would have been excited to meet a superhero and crush them, but he was currently preoccupied with trying to fix his malfunctioning magic tracker.
"Are you ready to lose, Rick Racer?" El Tigre mocked Jack as he drew out his claws and got ready to fight.
"It's Jack Spicer you brat!" Jack was not happy with this situation; some wannabe hero kid was in his way when he was supposed to be doing important work. "This is not what I needed today! What I really need is for this damn machine to work!" Out of frustration, Jack pulled his fist up and punched his tracker, before realizing he might have just permanently broken it. "Son of a…oh, hey it's working now."
Sure enough, the punch managed to get the tracker working. The device now started to beep to show how close he was to his prize.
"Are you done, I was hoping I could beat you and then use that as an excuse to go to the arcade for a bit." As El Tigre complained to Jack, he could see Jack's anger rising. "Well it doesn't matter *beep*. I'll beat you *beep* and then I *beep* can leave school *Beep* tell my dad about *Beep* how I beat *BEEP* your evil *BEEP* WILL YOU STOP THAT NOISE?!" As El Tigre attempted to explain his speech about what he was going to do after beating Spicer, the villain approached him with his strange and loud machine.
Jack ran the tracker up and down El Tigre as the beeping would grow and shrink in speed and volume. The most intense it became was right in front of his magic belt buckle.
Jack grinned sardonically as he addressed El Tigre with a question while poking at his belt buckle, "Hey, what is that thing exactly?"
"Do you mean my magical belt buckle that allows me to transform into El Tigre and grant me superpowers?"
Jack stared at El Tigre with a surprised expression. "Wow, I wasn't expecting you to just come out and say all that."
"You asked though," El Tigre retorted as if it were a reasonable response.
"Well yeah I did, but that doesn't mean- you know what, nevermind, I'll just be taking that belt now."
"I'm not going to give you my belt buckle!" El Tigre yelled as he placed his claws near it protectively.
Jack responded with a laugh and three words: "I wasn't asking."
With no warning, the robots that had been following Jack flew forward at El Tigre, their sharp claws extended out at him.
The young hero jumped over the robots. Once he landed behind them, he used his own sharp claws to cut down one of the robots and destroy it; however, the other one turned around and swiped at him.
El Tigre ducked under the Jack-bots attack and sprung forward to attack it back. The hero had to jump back from the robot though as three more Jack-bots approached from above with laser cannons within their chests. As an onslaught of lasers was brought upon El Tigre he dodged them as quickly as he could. He went and found cover behind one of the pillars in the school yard. The robots broke the pillar in only a few shots but that was more than enough time for El Tigre to shoot one of his grappling hook hands out to the school roof.
Once El Tigre had a grip on the school roof, he launched himself toward it by reeling himself back in using his extended arm. Once on the roof, he used the time he gained from moving quickly to shoot both of his hands out and sink his claws into one of the Jack-bots before pulling it towards him.
Once he had the machine in his hands, he jumped off the roof, over the open commons, with the Jack-bot under him as a shield to protect him from the other bots below.
What happened next was what people would call gravity.
As El Tigre fell, he removed his claws from the Jack-bot and kicked it so it would fall faster than him. The falling robot crashed into another one, causing both of them to explode. Meanwhile, El Tigre was still in the air; he launched his claws to grab the other Jack-bot and then launched himself towards it before it even had a chance to fire. Sure enough, El Tigre landed feet first into the robot and shoved it into another one.
On the ground again, El Tigre looked up with a smug look at the last two robots. "So, who's next?"
"OOH OOH, AAH AAH!!"
"Huh, a mono!?" Before El Tigre could process what had happened, a fist a collided with his face and sent him tumbling backwards.
As El Tigre brought his head up he looked at what just sucker punched him. Standing in front of him was Jack Spicer holding a wooden staff with a monkey on it. His appearance had changed as well, he grew sideburns and a… tail?
Jack walked toward El Tigre, or more accurately crawled due to his monkey behaviors, before speaking again. "Did you think you were the only one with a little magic toy? Sorry but we both got some cool Christmas presents didn't we. But I'll be taking yours."
As Jack reached for El Tigre the fallen boy jumped up and away from the evil monkey.
"Still want to fight? Ok, I'll allow it, I'm starting to have a bit of fun, though I think crushing you will be the best part." Jack brought his staff over his head and swung it at El Tigre who dodged the attack. Jack brought his tail to his hand to take his staff so he could swing both his fists at El Tigre.
El Tigre managed to dodge the punches and tried to swing his own fist towards Spicer, but he was interrupted by metal claws swiping at him. Unlike Jack's punch, El Tigre avoided the claws that had attempted to slice him up. El Tigre looked ahead at his current situation, Jack Spicer and two more of his machines. 'I can handle this. This isn't too bad, all I gotta do is breathe and-OH CRAP!' Without warning the Jack-bots flew at him swinging their claws again. He ducked his head down to avoid being cut in half.
Before El Tigre could counter attack Jack Spicer was already trying to knock his lights out again, so El Tigre had to switch his focus to the monkey man. But as his attention shifted to Jack the Jack-bots were already coming back for a second attack. As El Tigre jumped to dodge the bots, a hand grabbed his leg and slammed him into the ground hard. As the tiger themed boy tried to get up Jack slammed his head into the ground again with the bottom of the monkey staff.
"Now then, I'll be taking my prize-*BONK*" Before Jack could continue, somebody had whacked him over the head and he lost consciousness.
Pulling himself off the ground, El Tigre shook his head and looked at who helped him. Standing over Jack's unconscious body was a blue haired girl in a punk rock outfit holding a now dented bat.
Manny smiled at seeing his best friend. "Hey Frida, thanks for the help, but I've taken worse hits, I would've been ok."
"Yeah, but the fight looked like it was going to take awhile, and I wanted to go get something to eat, you want churros?" Frida asked her friend while dropping the bar.
"Sure, let's go before Chakal get's here and yells at us to get back into class." Manny transformed out of his costume and walked with his friend through the hole Jack made.
Frida looked back at the unconscious villain and asked Manny a question. "Should we do anything about him?"
"Nah, too much work."
"Fair enough."
LATER THAT DAY
Frustrated with his new loss Jack stomped his way through the town. He would kick the occasional rock or can and pretend it was that El Tigre brats head.
After gaining consciousness he was left alone in the school as everyone else left, the only thing left was a dented bat that Jack had a good idea of where the dent came from.
"Well this day did not go according to plan, but not to worry! I'll just fly back to my lair, get more Jackbots, and find a way to beat that kid and take my new mystical prize! HahaHAHAHA!" As Jack laughed down the street he could feel his evil spirits lifting, this was not the end! He would come back for a rematch and nothing could stop him!
As he reached his destination he noticed something was missing, he looked left, right, up, and even down, but he didn't see it, so he asked aloud one question.
"Where's my jet?"
Thank you for reading!
The same notes apply from the last chapter, if you have a show to recommend for the story leave it in the comments, and any ships you would like to see.
Also, this was my first time writing a FanFiction action scene, and it probably shows, so I would appreciate any criticism or advice I could use please.
Other than that, have a wondrous day!
