Welcome you lot, and here is chapter 8 woohoo. Hope you all have been waiting for this one to have some action than the last one, sorry for not including any. Some people might just like a chapter with no action, but still prefer the story to be about action if you know what I mean.
People who stuck to read this, thank you for doing so and the others who just skipped and started reading, I have one finger to give you.
Enjoy.
Luna and her band had finally made it to the theatre. Luckily, they made it with enough time to get prepared. They were on stage making sure their equipment and instruments were set up right and Luna was plucking her strings on her electric. Their band went with a purple colour theme, dressed up like a goth band. Chunk was sitting to the side on his phone, while being a roadie for Luna's band, he was also helping work security as he wore a security jacket. Luna walked up to Chunk while still plucking her strings.
"Yo Chunk, can you believe we made it haha!" Luna said as she started to strum her guitar.
"Aye, always knew you lot would make it" Chunk said as he stood up.
"What do you say about shots after tonight?" Luna suggested.
"As much as I would like that, I can't, we have the next gig to get to so we have to stay on schedule" Chunk informed Luna "Oh come on, one shot won't kill you man" Luna said as she stopped strumming.
"Not here, can't even have a little alcohol before driving" Chunk told her.
Luna smacked her forehead "Shit yeah, you're right, I guess we're drinking on the bus ourselves" Luna chuckled, but dissapointed Chunk won't be able to join them.
Chunk had a radio on his belt that went off, he took the radio "Come again?" he held it to his hear to hear what was being said. Chunk smiled "Okay I'll let them know" Chunk then put his radio back on his belt "They're ready to let them in! Quickly let's get backstage" Chunk told them as they moved behind the stage and the stage was then covered with the big curtain.
Luna was almost jumping with some excitement as she got to Sam who was also on the verge of having a mini freakout "Oh my god it is happening!" Sam said. Mazzy and Sully then walked over happy "Our first tour in fucking England bros!" Sully said pumping his fist in the air.
Just as they were near celebrating having started their first tour in another country, the front doors leading into the theatre and out to the front doors was a clean crew of 6 men and a girl wearing a green cap. Luna saw them but didn't think much as they were coming in with overalls and cleaning supplies on a cart. Chunk noticed and was slightly confused, he walked up to them with a friendly smile "Hey there lads, I don't think this place is needing cleaned just yet, we haven't even started haha" Chunk said as he was trying to figure out why they were there.
"What's going on?" Same asked as she approached to the side of Luna, watching Chunk confronting the men...who were not meant to be there.
"I don't-"
*BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG*
Present
Lincoln and Sarah weren't able to drive out of the area while the police were surrounding the area with their vehicles. They had to leave Sarahs car where it was amongst the rest of other cars. Lincoln and Sarah were standing against a stone wall behind a barrier with some other people who were wondering what was going on.
Lincoln was looking at the theatre, questioning if Luna is okay. Sarah was holding onto Lincolns arm as he was looking at the building. She rested her head on Lincolns arm and looked up at him "She'll be okay honey" Sarah said as she held her boyfriend's hand. Lincoln nodded but was obviously worried and scared for his sister's safety. As he eyed down the theatre, while police were keeping the area secured, Lincoln felt his phone vibrating in his pants pocket.
He took his phone out and answered the phone without realising who he was answering the phone to "Hello" he said without even thinking.
It was Jack "Hello? Lincoln? I just saw on the news about your sister, did you see?"
Lincoln sighed a little "I was on my way with Sarah to see her..." Lincoln finished without knowing what else to say. Jack sighed as well before speaking "We got word we're going down to sort it out, do you want us to pick you up in the van? I understand if you don't-"
"Yes" Lincoln answered back without hesitating.
"I figured, okay we'll pick you up at the end of the street, we have access to the nearby building connected to the theatre" Jack informed Lincoln "I'll see you when you come"
Lincoln ended the phone call and looked at Sarah "Are you...going to..."
"Yeah...I need to"
Sarah nodded and didn't argue, if she was in the same position, she would do the same for her sister or brother. The couple made their way down to the end of the street where there were less people, most were nearer the theatre. Lincoln couldn't help but feel a wave of rage rush over him, which is understandable considering the situation.
After waiting maybe 15 minutes, the plain van pulled up in front of Sarah and Lincoln. The back doors opened, and Lincoln went to climb into it, but stopped by Sarah. She took off Lincolns army jacket and handed it to him "I expect to get this back from you later" she said.
Lincoln smiled a little then kissed Sarah on the lips taking it back from Sarah "I promise"
Closing the doors Lincoln sat in the van as it drove off to the building on the other wise of the theatre that they had access to. Lincoln watched the van drive off, seeing Sarah standing there watching the van drive away. Lincoln felt someone pat his back and he looked, and it was Jack "You have a good one there Lincoln"
Lincoln nodded and looked at his jacket. He sniffed it and it smelled like Sarah's perfume she had. Lincoln decided to put the jacket on as he was then handed a bag given by Adams who was in the van along with Peters. Lincoln just noticed it was only them and Connors who was sat up front of the van in the passenger seat. There wasn't anyone else with them.
"Where's the rest?" Lincoln asked Adams "They're just sending us in, less people who are more trained will be better" Adams replied.
This shouldn't have scared Lincoln since he's done missions with these guys, so why was he just a little nervous? Lincoln checked his bag and saw there was an armour vest, a mask, radio, holster along with a glock 17 inside it. Lincoln also saw there was another bag, containing what Lincoln believed to be the other guns. The van was now parked outside the side of the building. The men grabbed their bags then exited the van where Connors then lead them into the building through an emergency exit. The men made their way up the stairs and through a door that took them into a large office area with cubicles. Lincoln, Jack, Peters and Adams followed Connors who lead them into an office room to set up. Police officers were already in the room, there was a radio set up for them to listen to the people taken the theatre under control.
One of the officers approached Connors and they began to talk; Jack dropped his bag onto one of the tables as did the others. Lincoln dropped his next to Jack and began to unload his bag. The team started to put their masks on straight away, so the officers didn't get a good look at them. They also found in their bags there was hoodies to help conceal their identities better. Lincoln put the hoodie on and then pull the hood up his head, as did the other men. Lincoln then attached his holster to his leg and then checked his glock. There was a couple magazines inside, 3 fully loaded ones. His holster could hold the other 2 and he can load the other into his glock which he did.
He then checked inside the bag to find a tactical dagger inside the bag which he could clip onto his belt, which he did. They were also given black tactical gloves. Whilst Lincoln was in the midst of putting them on, he was then handed his rifle by Connors.
"All yours son"
The rifle was an L119A1 carbine rifle with a scope, a suppressor, a flashlight on the side and a commando foregrip under the barrel. Lincoln took the gun and was then handed magazines by the officers from a bag. They were each given 4 magazines each. 3 to load into their vests that can hold 3 magazines and one to add into the rifle which Lincoln and the rest did immediately. Connors was sat at the table with the radio and recorded to record the interaction.
"We had communication with wan of the men inside, until their phone was taken and we had one of the officers talking to one of the men taking the place hostage" Connors informed them.
"How many are there?" Jack asked "The civilian said there was 4 men dressed as janitors and possibly more who was inside before the janitors started firing. There might be a civilian injured" Connors explained "So why don't we go in? They fired their gun at a civilian" Lincoln asked as he attached a strap to his rifle.
"As far as we know that civilian is okay and it was believed they didn't intend to kill someone, more like that civilian tried to stop them when they shouldn't have" one of the officers said as he was standing next to Connors.
Lincoln started to take deep breathes as he started to panic if Luna was the one who was shot inside "Do we have any idea who the civilian was?" Lincoln asked.
"No clue, all we know is the victim was male, possibly the one who tried to stop them from doing anything, he did sound out of breath" the same officer answered Lincolns question. That answer did put Lincoln at ease.
"Loud" Peters whispered to Lincoln "Can I have a word with you" Peters said as he pulled Lincoln outside the office and closed the door to talk to him "I know Luna is your sister and everything, but best not mention to the officers she is. Me and the guys know and so does Connors, so just try and not tell the officers, we don't need word getting to your sister somehow" Peters advised Lincoln.
Lincoln nodded as he understood what Peters was saying. His sister and the rest of his family weren't ready to know his line of work in the army in the UK. The pair went back into the room to go over their plan for entry.
Connors was now standing and ready to talk to the men "Right, as you know, we have multiple hostages inside, and more than 4 people who are taking the building hostage, along with one injured man inside"
The men nodded while listening "We have 2 options, we can either cause a distraction outside to get the men's attention then try access from the back of the theatre door, or we attempt to drill and chip away at this nearby wall" Connors said as he patted the side of the wall "and gain entry that way. This wall does lead into the props room, which is locked on the outside, so it's perfect since they do not have a key to that room...and who would even want to go into the prop room" Connors made a slight joke but then continued "Whatever decision we make it has to be done right" Connors now finished.
Lincoln looked at his teammates and friends "Well I think the wall is our best chance than a distraction since they'll most likely keep other men an eye on the hostages. So, I say the wall" Lincoln said after analysing how that first plan would go.
The others nodded in agreement "So we're going for the second option? Okay" Connors said as he slapped the wall "Get us the men for the wall" Connors commanded to the police officers who went off to get the men. Connors then took a seat and pulled out a cigar and a match box "What do we do now?" Lincoln asked "We wait until they get us through the wall, and we let the negotiators keep them busy and distracted until we get through" after finishing he put the cigar in his mouth and lit it with the matches.
Lincoln put his rifle down then walked over to the window looking outside, seeing the small crowd a bit away from buildings in case anything goes wrong. Lincoln then saw Jack hand him a cigarette "Up for one?" Jack asked as he already had one in his mouth already. Lincoln took the cigarette and held it between his lips and allowed Jack to light the cigarette "Won't the fire alarms trip the alarm?" Lincoln asked.
"Nah we had the alarms disabled, can't risk getting caught" Jack said as he then lit his cigarette in his mouth as well then shook the match out.
Lincoln and Jack started to puff their cigarettes as Peters and Adams were chatting to Connors while sat in desk chairs in the office.
"Did you imagine your night going like this" Jack asked Lincoln "Not at all, you?" Lincoln asked him, small talk was really all they can do right now.
"Aye, I was about to get to it with this girl I met at the pub, then I get a call from Connors telling me what's happened, so I had to tell her I had to go, she wasn't happy" Jack chuckled.
Lincoln shook his head and chuckled along with Jack "Seems like you and Sarah have been doing well too, how's that been?" Jack asked Lincoln "It hasn't been too bad, she's a cool girl and very attractive, I just didn't think she'd be able to handle how demanding this shit is" Lincoln said as he took the cigarette out his mouth and held it in his fingers "She's a great woman" Lincoln said as he puffed the smoke out.
Jack stood with his arms crossed, looking outside with Lincoln "Yeah, she's been in your place man. She left her job to go out with that fucking wanker whatever his name was, wasn't until we found out the shithead was already married and had a fucking kid" Jack said with some frustration "What happened after Sarah found out?" Lincoln asked.
Jack puffed more of his cigarette "She dumped him, and we offered to pay him a visit, but she didn't want us to, so we respected that. But man, I wanted to punch him right in the fucking teeth, knock them right out I should've, all of us wanted to. But If Sarah didn't want us to, then we didn't, sometimes you need to listen before you do something" Jack said.
"Yeah...I've been told that before" Lincoln said as he started to think back when he was 14 years old.
As I'm writing this part, I just got a tattoo done...my arm is fucked up bro. Trying to write this while also trying not to bend my arm too much. I just bent it ow.
14-year-old Lincoln was in high school. Lincoln was walking down the hall ready to head home as other students were either at their locker or were already on their way out the front door. Lincoln saw Clyde at his locker then approached him. Lincoln wore the same pair of blue jeans; new sneakers and an orange t-shirt Leni had made for him while she was in college. It had his initials on the top right of the shirt...although it could be any of his sibling's shirt if they wanted to.
Clyde was wearing his usual glasses, and this time a blue sweater and black pants and shoes. His hair was in a similar style, but slightly longer since he was wanting to try and build up to an afro.
"Hey Clyde" Lincoln said as he walked up to Clyde holding his backpack. Clyde closed his locker but didn't greet Lincoln back and instead walked away.
Lincoln was a bit confused then ran up to Clyde and pulled him back a bit "Hey what's wrong?" Lincoln asked him. Clyde returned an emotionless face "Nothing, I have to go" he said plainly.
This made Lincoln let go of Clyde's shoulder, why was he acting like Lincoln did something wrong? "What are you talking about?"
"Don't play dumb Lincoln" Clyde said as he began to walk away again but Lincoln stepped in front of him "No no, what the hell is wrong with you?" Lincoln asked him.
Clyde just sighed and looked at Lincoln "You told me we could hang out at my house, but then you tell me just 5 MINUTES before you came over, that you had to cancel because of some stupid thing to do with your sisters. Come on we barely hang out anymore dude!" Clyde said with a bit of noticeable anger in his voice.
Lincoln had normally been able to make time for Clyde as well as his other friends, even during his chaos at home with his family. But since both Lori, Leni and Luna went to college and moved out, Luan, Lynn and Lincoln had been helping taking care of the chores as well as their other siblings. Normally they'd all take a chore each, or do ones together, but things changed a bit because of a change in people's schedule.
"Clyde, I had to cancel last minute because I needed to help Lola and Lana with their homework and do the laundry and the dishes after dinner. You wouldn't know what it's like to have younger siblings because...uh" Lincoln cleared his throat then looked away, realising what he almost said in his mid-rant.
Clyde raised his eyebrow at Lincoln "Because what?" he asked Lincoln, stepping a bit closer to him.
"No no, forget it, forget it" Lincoln gripped his bag tightly "I need to go, Luan is picking us up" Lincoln then turned away but was grabbed by Clyde "Because what... because my parents are gay?" Clyde asked then clenched his fist.
"What?-"
Lincoln was then shoved to the ground by Clyde. It surprised Lincoln as he was now on his back on the ground and when people noticed they started to shout and gather around to see if Lincoln and Clyde were going to fight.
"Clyde...I-"
"SHUT UP" Clyde said as he came closer to Lincoln and grabbed Lincoln by the shirt "JUST BECAUSE I DON'T HAVE SIBLINGS BECAUSE OF MY PARENTS DOESN'T MEAN YOU CAN IGNORE ME LIKE I'M NOT YOUR BEST FRIEND YOU SON OF A-"
*PUNCH KICK*
Lincoln in a moment of fear Lincoln kicked Clyde in between the legs and then punched him in the face, making his glasses get knocked off. Clyde fell into a couple people's legs which made them shout some more in excitement. Lincoln got to his legs then quickly ran off through the crowd and made his way to the exit doors and continued to run, he did see Luan in the vanzilla with the rest of his sisters. But instead of running there, he decided to just run home, or at least try to because he could feel his heart beating a thousand times as he ran.
"OH MY GOD OH MY GOD I PUNCHED HIM...I PUNCHED HIM" Lincoln shouted as he ran as fast as he could, with the help of adrenaline in his system.
3 minutes later
Lincoln had sprinted for 3 minutes straight home. He then slowed down and started to catch his breath. Lincoln bent down and places his hands on his knees, trying to control his breathing.
Bzz bzz bzz bzz
Lincoln felt his phone vibrating in his pocket, which he took out to see Luan was calling him. Lincoln answered it "H-hey...hey Luan"
"Lincoln? Where'd you go? I was waiting for you to get to the van and just saw you running like scooby doo saw a ghost"
"Yeah uh...ahem, I just felt like going for a run, I'm already home don't worry" Lincoln said as he started to walk normally "Okay, we're just a few minutes away, or will you already be heading to ohio by the time we get there haha" Luan cracked another joke which wasn't as funny as the first...or if it wasn't funny to you then I guess I need to brush up on my comedy.
"Yeah, okay, I'll see you guys soon"
"Don't forget your helping Lola with homework and-" Lincoln sighed "Yeah yeah I know I know. Doing the dishes and then taking out the trash as normal" Lincoln said.
Lincoln then hung up the phone but was immediately struck with the loud noise of an electric guitar. Just as Lincoln reached his house, he saw Luna was in the garage strumming her old purple guitar with one of her old amps. Lincoln decided to just leave Luna doing what she was doing then made his way to the house. But was then stopped "Hey Lincoln! Bro!" Luna put her guitar down then ran out to Lincoln the pulled him into a tight bear hug "Bro you couldn't stop for a minute to say hi?!" Luna said as she continued to squeeze her brother.
"Ahem- y-yeah sorry...just had stuff on my mind" Lincoln apologised then hugged her back. Lincoln grew a bit taller than Luna, so he was able to lay his chin on top of her head while they hugged.
Luna had gone to college after high school, but Lincoln forgot she was coming back to collect her old music stuff to bring back to her dorm "What's up? You look like you just ran a marathon" Luna said as she let go of Lincoln.
Luna was wearing the similar clothing style she tends to wear. Tomboy and pretty emo punk. She wore the normal purple boots she always wore; then just black ripped jeans and she wore a light purple tank top along with a black flannel tied around her waist and she had a couple tattoos done to her left arm. Her hair was a little longer, reaching her shoulders. Her ears were also pierced properly instead of having her paper clip in her ear.
"More like I literally just ran a marathon" Lincoln said as he took a couple more breathers after being hugged by Luna like he was a security blanket "What happened?" Luna asked him.
Lincoln wasn't sure if he could tell Luna...or any of his family what happened with him and Clyde. Lincoln just sighed and looked at Luna and couldn't help but cry a little and sniffle. Luna was unsure what happened, but she was sure she needed to comfort Lincoln.
"Hey hey it's okay...come here" Luna wrapped her arm around Lincoln then started to lead them to the garage. Luna had Lincoln sit down on her amp then proceeded to close the garage. She turned on the lights, so they were able to see. Lincoln put his bag down as Luna then sat down on the amp next to him "What's wrong?" she asked as she wiped away some of Lincoln's tears with her thumb.
Lincoln collected himself then took a deep breath and looked at Luna again "I punched Clyde..."
"Why did you punch Clyde?" Luna asked him "I... don't know. I-I just...he got mad at me because we don't hangout like we use to anymore. I told him why we don't and...accidentally told him he wouldn't understand because he can't have younger siblings...then he pushed me and I fell to the ground and got scared...then while he was yelling at me and grabbing my shirt I just wanted to get away so I...I kicked him in the nuts and punched him in the face to get him off me, and I just ran..." Lincoln just hung his head low and started to fidget with his fingers.
Luna shook her head a little in disappointment in Lincoln, but she put her hand on Lincolns leg "Did you mean it?" Luna asked.
"No of course not...he just got me a little annoyed...as if my family doesn't come first of all people" Lincoln answered, "I know Lincoln...but you didn't really think before you spoke, did you?" Luna asked.
"...no, I didn't" Lincoln admitted "In your defence though, I don't think Clyde thought before he spoke either" Luna said as she patted Lincolns leg "Sometimes it is best to think before you say or do something you'll regret"
Luna did have a point.
"Okay...thank you" Lincoln smiled then hugged Luna "Hey bro don't worry, just patch things up with Clyde, you guys have been through a lot worse" Luna said as she patted his back "If you don't then who knows...maybe one day you'll get stabbed in the back by someone who hates you a lot more haha"
"Come on Luna...you know our sisters will probably never let me near knives again" Lincoln joked "Yeah that's probably true, I'd agree with them too ahah" Luna joked back as they continued to hug.
The pair hugged a little longer, then let go of each other and Lincoln was no longer crying "I guess we should go inside" Lincoln said "Lincoln I have to get my stuff and go back to college"
"Oh yeah, well I guess I'll see you when you get back" Lincoln gave Luna a fist bump then left her to gather her stuff.
Present
Lincoln and his team were waiting patiently and going over the drawings of the theatre so they can get a rough idea of the layout "Did the caller say where they were keeping them?" Jack asked.
Adams pulled up the layout of the ground floor of the theatre "He said they were being guarded on the stage"
"So, what's our best shot?" Peters asked "I was thinking we could try and search the theatre of the ones who aren't at the stage, so once we have taken care of the others, we then surround them and try to make them surrender. Or best yet, give them a bullet each in the head" Connors suggested.
Lincoln shook his head "I don't see why we should let any of them surrender, they got this far so why give them a chance to back out now?" Lincoln asked "Because you never know, maybe we can get more info out in case something like this happened again, or we'll just take our chance of it not happening" Adams said while tapping his cigar into an ash tray on the table with the theatre's architecture drawings.
"We're done here lads" the officer said as the construction men finished digging through the wall connected to the theatre. It was a pretty small hole, but it was enough for them to slip through quietly. It had been a few hours of digging but it was quiet enough for them to dig without being caught.
"Alright so what do you think? Search the theatre until we can guarantee there's only the ones left on the ground floor?" Connors asked them.
They all voted for that plan since it was their best shot. So, they went with that plan.
"Okay. Once all targets are down, give us an all clear and we'll send in a team to retrieve the hostages" Connors said.
Jack then quickly pulled Lincoln aside and whispered to him "You sure you can do this?" Jack asked him.
Lincoln nodded and got his gun ready "Yeah...I'm sure" Lincoln said as he clicked his gun then started to climb in through the wall first. Just as the drawings said, the wall they were behind was a storage room for props and equipment. Lincoln climbed in with his gun and saw the room to be filled with old stuff used in the theatre such as clothes, fake weapons and knives. Lincoln picked up a prop pistol, it looked very similar to his.
"Seems like they're serious about their props looking realistic" Lincoln said as he pointed the fake gun at his team and pretended to shoot them "Is it heavy too?" Adams asked as he followed behind.
The gun was pretty much a paper weight gun, but it had a metallic feel to it as much as it was light. Lincoln pulled out his real gun and compared the two. They were very similar and from a distance probably could never tell the difference from them. Jack then followed and swatted Lincolns arm "Come on mate stop messing with that shit" then Peters followed in.
Lincoln put the guns away then they made their way to the door. Adams took out a tiny camera on a small wire and then pulled out a small tablet from his vest. He handed it to Peters who then slid the small camera slowly under the door, then Adams connected the tablet to the camera, and they can now see.
"Slow move it" Adamas instructed as Peters slowly moved the wire side to side, so they can get a view of what's outside the door. Adams saw outside the hall it was empty and just to their right was the way they needed to go to the stairs to get to the third floor so they can get a better shot for the stage "Okay that's enough" Adams said as Peters then pulled the wire out from the door and Adams put his tablet away "Okay, I'd say two of us get into position on the third floor and the other two search the rest of the area for anyone else that's possibly not on the stage"
"I'd say we go to the third floor-" Lincoln suggested but then Jack cut in "Nah I think me, and Peters should, we have a more accurate shot than you guys" Jack said.
Lincoln looked at Jack as if he just took a shit right in front of him. Jack knew if Lincoln was up on the third floor, he'd have a chance of ruining his shot when he sees his sister.
"Alright, we'll head to the third floor and let you know how many people are missing from the stage, then you leave and search for them while we're in position" Peters said.
"Okay, let's do it" Adams confirmed.
The fixed their masks and doubled checked their guns were ready to fire. Adams then unlocked the door and opened it allowing Peters and Jack to exit. Peters checked the left side and Jack checked the right, both sides clear.
"Clear" they both whispered "Proceed" Jack quickly but quietly moved down the hall with Jack moving backwards watching their back in case someone turned the corner unexpectedly.
Adams closed the door and locked it, leaving just him and Lincoln in the room by themself. Lincoln leaned back against the wall as Adams stayed alert on the door.
"My sister is in there"
Adams turned his head but kept his body facing the door "What?"
"My sister Luna...she's the singer for her band...and she's in there" Lincoln confessed to Adams.
"Lincoln...why didn't you tell us mate?" Adams asked while still in the same position "Peters and Jack knew but told me not to say anything...so I'm telling you now in case neither him or I make it and to tell my sister I tried" Lincoln confessed as it was weighing on his chest a little.
"Come on lad, we've been through worse, haven't we?" Adams asked Lincoln "Still doesn't mean we'll always return back" Lincoln said with a doubtful face "Not when you have that attitude" Adam then looked back at the door, keeping his guard.
Bzz
"Right, we're in position, seems like there's only 3 people guarding the stage and one is on the phone. Maybe talking to the negotiators. They have the band secured on the stage, and one shot victim" Jack said over their radio.
Adams replied to his radio "Copy that. We're on the move, make sure they don't leave the stage"
"Copy that"
Adams looked at Lincoln "You sure you can do this?"
Lincoln nodded and Adams nodded back. Adams slowly opened the door and checked the left side of the hall then the right "Clear, let's move it" Adams said as both men started to head their way down the hall, with Lincoln watching Adams back as they moved.
Just took off the protective film for my tattoo, looks sick and doesn't hurt anymore, woohoo.
As Adams reached the end of the hall, they were walking down the hall. Adams stopped as he reached the end and Lincoln turned around and moved to the other side of the wall and they both peaked each side.
"Clear" they both said "We're moving left" Adams told Lincoln as he moved left and Lincoln following by moving back again "Should split up once we reach the ground floor" Adams said.
"Okay, but what if-"
*BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG*
Immediately the pair was hit with bullets and on instinct making Adams shove Lincoln through a door that was one of the dressing rooms. Adams was then hit in the leg by one of the bullets making him fall to the ground and dropping his gun. Adams then attempted to crawl into the room with Lincoln but was hit with a few more bullets, none which hit Adams, but were to act as warning shots stopping him from going into the room. Lincoln got to his feet and immediately took aim with his rifle at the door.
Adams was then raising his arms and in pain from his wounded leg.
Lincoln knew if he tried pulling Adams in then they would be rained with more bullets. Adams looked at Lincoln then Lincoln saw his fingers were signalling there was 3 people aiming at him.
"If you try to save your friend then expect him to die with a bullet to the head" a feminine voice called out.
Lincoln and Adams were confused "Just turn in your weapons and we'll have no issue with you" her accent seemed to be russian.
Adams looked at Lincoln then nodded "Just take me" Adams said.
Lincoln couldn't believe what Adams said and mouthed to Adams "What?"
Adams held his hand up at Lincoln then looked back in front "You take me and leave him" Adams said, hoping to compromise.
There was silence for a minute...then the sound of guns clicking, making Adams signal for Lincoln to go. Lincoln looked around the dressing room. All there is in the room was some dresses and costumes, a makeup table, couch and a closet. Lincoln saw the window that had long curtains on each side but thought it would be a risk since they aren't on the ground floor. It was Lincolns only choice to escape. The window leaded to the front of the theatre. Lincoln fired his gun at the window.
*BANG BANG BANG BANG*
Lincoln fired at the window leaving some bullet holes in which startled the public. Lincoln immediately then threw his rifle over his shoulder then ran to the window.
"GO SARGE" Adams yelled but was then knocked out with the stock of a rifle.
Lincoln didn't try looking back as he jumped out the window, crashing right through it then quickly grabbing onto the curtains. Sounds of shock can be heard from the ground floor from the civilians on the ground who saw Lincolns situation as he clanged to the curtain. Lincolns radio went off "Sarge? Sarge? What's going on?"
Lincoln realised he was hanging just low enough to reach the floor below. Lincoln immediately started to kick the window, then looked up to see one of the men attempting to shoot at Lincoln but was then shot back by armed police on the ground. This gave Lincoln just enough chance to swing back and crash through the window below. Lincoln rolled into the room then quickly got back up and shaking the shards of glass off him. Lincoln took his radio "Hey it's me, me and Adams got separated, they've taken him hostage and he's been shot. You need to-"
Lincoln stopped talking as he realised his radio was smashed "FUCK" Lincoln threw his radio to the ground. The radio looked to be shot by one of the police on the ground, that was a close one, but now Lincoln didn't have any communication to his team. Lincoln picked up his rifle from the ground and checked if it was okay, luckily it was.
The room he was another dressing room. Lincoln quickly went over to the door and opened it and peaked out each side. He took a breath and started to make his way out the room and down the hall. First Lincoln had to reach to the top floor where Jack and Peters was waiting for a signal. Maybe the gun shots alerted them.
Jacks pov
After hearing the gun shots Jack and Peters were trying to get a hold of Lincoln through their radio, even Adams. But none responded. Peters turned to Jack and whispered, "Do you think they got ambushed by the others?"
"I don't know, if they did then we need to tell Connors so he can send in the others" Jack said as he referred to the counter terrorism team they have on standby.
"Look!" Peters said still quietly.
Adams was then taken in with two of the men holding him by the arms, practically dragging him because of his wounded leg and then throwing him on the ground in front of the stage. They then removed his mask, and they also had his sidearm and rifle.
"Wherever you are hiding! Come out now! We have your friend!" it was the woman who Lincoln and Adams had heard speaking to them.
Jack and Peters hid below where they couldn't be seen in case they looked up.
"We've got to radio into Connors for back up, we can't do this ourselves" Peters said as he reached for his radio, but was then stopped by Jack "We can't risk it because they have Adams, and we don't know where Lincoln is"
Peters let go of his radio and sighed with frustration "Then what the fuck do we do then?" he asked.
Jack tried to think of a plan, but nothing was able to come to mind on what they can do. They could shoot them? But no, they wouldn't be quick enough. They might be able to throw a flash grenade down there, but they didn't bring any. This situation was proven to be a lot more difficult than it needed to be for them.
"Shit..."
Lincolns pov
Lincoln had cautiously made his way down the empty halls, clenching his rifle. While moving, Lincoln had thought of a plan. While looking around, Lincoln found the stairs to the top floor where Peters and Jack were. He made his way to the stairs and started to head up as quickly as he can then once reaching the top, he saw Jack and Peters.
"Pst!" Lincoln said.
Jack and Peters instinctively turned around aiming their guns at Lincoln.
"Jesus christ put them down!" Lincoln said as he made his way over to them while crouching so he wasn't spotted "Jesus' mate, what happened?" Jack asked.
"We got ambushed and I had to leave Adams, they had him surrendered and I had to get out of there" Lincoln admitted as he then peaked over to see the stage, and Adams on the ground bleeding out from his leg. Lincoln leaned against the small wall and sighed "I do have a plan though" Lincoln told them.
"What's that?" Peters asked.
Lincoln put his rifle down then pulled out his sidearm, looking at Jack and Peters "Here's what we do"
Adams pov
Adams was trying to stop the bleeding from his leg using his mask while he had two different guns aiming at him. The woman who they encountered was sitting on the stage with Adams radio "How long does it take you stupid brits to give me my money" she said angrily.
Seems like this was another hostage situation for money. Typical.
She then stood up and looked at Luna and Sam who were holding onto each other. Next to them was Sully attending to Chunk, who was the shot victim.
"I can see you two are rather close, no?" she said.
Luna and Sam didn't say anything, and instead just held each other. The woman then aimed her gun at the pair, but then aimed it at Sam "You, move"
Sam did as she said, not wanting to get shot, leaving Luna sitting with her knees up to her chest and looked up at the woman "What..." Luna said.
The woman smiled "Stand up now" Luna didn't want to, but at the same time had no other choice, so she did as she was told. The woman then walked around Luna "You know...if I don't get my money, I can just take you instead"
Luna looked at Sam who was almost in tears seeing this lady eye Luna up and down "Look at me" she said grabbing Lunas face, turning it away from Sam and at her. The woman then started to kiss Luna. She kissed her a bit deeply, slipping Luna some of her tongue making Luna kiss back but barely enjoying it as Sam was watching. Sam was mortified what this woman was doing to her girlfriend right in front of her and everyone else on the stage. The woman then pulled away from the kiss and licked her lip "Yes...you will do nicely"
The woman was then about to go in for another kiss but-
*BANG*
Everyone's attention was turned to Lincoln who was on the ground floor down the aisle of the seats, holding his sidearm up in the arm, signalling he shot the ceiling. The woman sighed "Now you come at the worst time" she said then telling Luna to sit back down to which Sam held her again crying almost.
Lincolns pov
The other men who were...distracted from the girl-on-girl kissing was now focused on Lincoln who was slowly walking down as he held his gun up in the air "I'm surrendering" Lincoln said as he deepened his voice to sound unrecognisable to Luna and Sam.
"You think you can surrender yourself and let these people go?" she asked.
"Just take my gun, let them go, then you can do whatever you want, just please" Lincoln begged almost.
The woman was thinking of Lincolns offer "How about you give us your weapon, then we'll discuss" Lincoln nodded to her demand then put his gun slowly on the floor, then kicked it to them. Adams was seen up against the wall below the stage as he kept his leg from bleeding out with his mask.
One of the men went down and picked up Lincolns gun then give it to the woman who put her gun in the back of her pants. Lincoln kept his hands up.
"Okay...let's negotiate" she said as she sat down on the edge of the stage, letting her legs dangle over "Sit, please" she said.
Lincoln sat down at the end seat in the first row, doing as he was told "Now...let's talk" Lincoln said.
"I say...I take my money, take the sexy singer girl and you can get the hostages, deal?" she said.
Lincoln shook his head while looking at her "No deal, I'd rather be shot than to let that happen" Lincoln said.
The woman smirked then lifted Lincolns gun to him "That can happen" Lincoln raised his hands up in the air.
She then pulled the trigger...
Nothing happened.
She was confused then tried firing at him again "What the..." she looked at the gun on the side...prop gun. She then looked at Lincoln who had his hands up and two fingers sticking up.
Her eyes grew wide.
*BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG*
Jack and Peters then opened fire at the stage.
Lincoln hit the floor as the men were being shot, the woman then fell off the stage. Lincoln quickly pulled out his actual gun tucked into his pants behind his back then shot the woman in both her legs, causing her to scream in pain and had fallen off the stage and to the ground, dropping her gun. She laid on her back, both legs bleeding from the bullet wounds and grunting in pain.
The other men were completely shot dead and fallen to the ground. The woman attempted to reach for her gun she had before, but Lincoln quickly stepped on her shoulder "Don't try"
"Fucking brits" she said laying her head down.
Adams then stood up and limped over as he took her gun and aimed it at the other men, making sure they were dead. Lincoln took the radio from her as well she had clipped to her pants "This is sergeant..." Lincoln said but then stopped as he saw Luna was looking at him "...attackers down, one alive, hostages secured, one wounded, send in the team" Lincoln kept his gun aimed at the woman.
She kept smiling however at Lincoln "If you think this is the end, you are wrong...there's more of us who will stop at nothing to ruin this fucking country"
Lincoln got down to his knee and pressed the gun into her chest "If you think I'll let anything happen to this country then you are wrong, we've protected it once, we'll do it again" Lincoln said sternly to her then stood back up and kept his gun aiming at her. Lincoln then had his hand up, signalling Jack and Peters to get down and help with Adams.
"The bastard pulled it off" Jack said as he picked up Lincolns rifle.
The pair made their way down the stairs. The armed police team then made their way in with their rifles. Lincoln looked at them "Over!-"
*BANG*
Lincoln was then shot by the woman who had a pocket pistol kept in her back pocket.
*BANG BANG*
Adams then shot the woman in the head, killing her and making her drop her gun.
"SARGE" Adams yelled as he tried to limp to Lincoln.
"HOLD IT THERE" the counter terrorism team yelled.
"SAS WE'RE SAS" Adams yelled.
Adams made his way down to Lincoln. Luckily Lincoln was only shot in the arm.
"AHH FUCK!" Lincoln groaned in pain. Jack and Peters made it down the stairs and ran to Adams and Lincoln as the other team scanned the bodies and helped the hostages get out the building. Luna kept looking at Lincoln and his team. She was still unaware it was Lincoln and continued to follow the men leading them all out.
Jack ripped open Lincolns sleeve and checked his arm "Okay you'll be fine, it's just a flesh wound" Jack helped Lincoln to his feet and Peters helped Adams walk out. Lincoln looked around the theatres as he was being helped out of the building "I don't know about you guys...but I hate the theatre" Lincoln joked making them laugh.
As they made their way out through the main doors, Lincoln and Adams were put into the black van waiting for them. Jack and Peters then climbed in as they started to drive to get Lincoln and Adams some medical assistance.
Lincoln then remembered then stopped the van "Sarah..."
Sarah was waiting at the side of the building, she hadn't moved. The van then drove to the side again and Sarah immediately ran over and was let in.
"Oh my god Lincoln!" Sarah said as she sat next to him with his arm out and Jack already tending to his arm and Peters tending to Adams leg with a medic kit they had in the van.
Lincoln took his mask off and so did the others. Lincoln smiled when he saw Sarah and kissed her.
"JESUS JACK" Lincoln pulled away from the kiss after feeling a sharp pain from Jack giving him morphine "Come on mate you can handle a little needle"
"Yeah, but Jesus...wasn't expecting it" Lincoln said laughing a bit.
"You'll be okay" Sarah said as she held onto Lincoln "Big baby you have to deal with" Adams joked.
"Come on now...he's my big baby" Sarah said still hugging Lincoln "Is your sister okay?"
Lincoln nodded "Yeah...yeah she's okay"
Well...fucking hell
I hope you enjoyed that chapter as much as I did, I've read it back multiple times from how much fun it was haha. Hope the action was good, I wanted to have Lincoln fight the woman with their hands, but felt this was more satisfying.
I hope to see you guys in the next chapter as always.
See ya!
