Welcome to...yeah welcome to this again.
Hope you enjoyed the recent one and are just as curious to what happens next after Lincoln got shot and Luna with her assault from the russian lady. Enjoy and I'll see you at the end.
Lincoln was sitting on the sofa in his and Sarahs flat. It was about 12 in the afternoon. He was sat with his arm wrapped up for his gunshot wound. A few weeks had passed by since Lincoln had been shot. He has been shot in the chest, but his vest caught it, this time he had been shot in the arm, wounded. It caused Lincoln to have trouble sleeping and making him have nightmares of the incident but where he was alone with the woman. Adams wasn't there and neither was Luna and the others. Just him and that woman who shot him and getting shot again and again.
"You okay there?" Sarah asked.
Sarah had just come out of the shower wearing her towel. Her hair was slightly damp, and her legs were a little wet. Lincoln scratched his leg "Yeah I'm fine, just watching a movie"
"Honey...the tv isn't on"
Lincoln just realised the tv wasn't on, so that was a dumb excuse "Seriously you can tell me" Sarah said as she sat down next to Lincoln.
She placed her hand on top of Lincolns hand on top of his leg and held it "Still struggling?" she asked him.
The moment Lincoln started having nightmares and waking up scared and gasping for air while holding his arm, Sarah was there for him. She did things like holding Lincoln while he cried and held his hand everywhere they would go because he would get anxiety attacks if anything loud happened. She really was being Lincolns rock during this.
He was sat shirtless and his underwear and socks "Yeah...just been thinking" Lincoln said.
Sarah looked down at his arm. Lincolns left arm was the arm that got shot. The bullet wound was on Lincolns lower bicep, luckily there isn't any long-term damage, but he will have the scar there. Lincoln should be considering himself lucky...if he does.
"I know getting shot isn't really something to overcome" Sarah said as she rubbed Lincolns back "If you have any idea what it's like" Lincoln muttered, which didn't really sit right with Sarah. She stood up and stood in front of Lincoln "I do actually-"
Sarah then dropped her towel and spread her arms "Take a look at the scars you haven't noticed"
Lincoln looks at her body. While she looked very beautiful, her body did have some scars from her time in the army. One scar was on her hip. Lincoln hung his head in shame "Sorry"
Sarah put her arms down and sighed then sat next to Lincoln again "It's okay. Just don't tell me I wouldn't know what it's like, I've been through it"
Lincoln nodded and buried his face in his hands "I know I know; I don't know what I'm gonna do"
Sarah hugged Lincoln and kissed his head "Whatever its going to be, I'll be here for you"
Lunas pov
Luna and her band had to cancel their tour making Luna fly back to Michigan. She was now at the Loud House since she couldn't stay with Luan on a count of the number of times, she felt uncomfortable and scared being left alone in their apartment. Her and Sam were still together...ish. After what had happened, they have been low contact since, but still called and texted. Luna was offered therapy for what she went through as well as Sam and Mazzy and Sully, but all of them denied. Why? I don't know man you'll have to keep reading.
Now Luna was up at about 7am. She was staying in her old room which still had her old bed and a couple other old things she left behind. She was sitting downstairs at the kitchen table with a cup of coffee and in her purple robe she had along with pj shorts she had and slippers. Since her parents invited her to stay with them, Luna has been very grateful by doing most of the chores around the house instead of letting the youngest's do the chores themselves.
The other sisters did come to see Luna when they weren't occupied but when trying to ask Luna questions about what happened inside, it wasn't discussed. She either tried to move the conversation to about how they've been or just lock herself in her room for the rest of the day. That's when they all realised, they can no longer talk about it with Luna.
While she was sitting downstairs drinking her coffee, Luna was having trouble not thinking about what happened in London. And she still didn't get to see Lincoln. Which they did message after what had happened, and Lincoln had to tell her that him and Sarah were stuck in traffic and had no idea what was going on.
"Hey Lunes"
"Ah!"
Luna jumped but it was just Lana coming into the kitchen but then stopped when Luna jumped "You alright?" Lana asked her.
Lana was wearing just a normal light green shirt and pj pants that...looked to be Lincolns old pair?
"Yeah, I'm okay...was just day dreaming is all you know" Luna said as she sipped her now lukewarm coffee "Sorry I scared you then" Lana said as she poured herself some coffee from the pot Luna made.
Lana then decided to sit at the table with Luna "How'd you sleep?" Lana asked her while sipping her coffee.
Luna just nodded "Yeah, it was good" she said plainly while staring at her half empty mug of brown liquid. Lana knew Luna wasn't really listening "Alright well I'm gonna go get ready, I'm going with Lucy to the mall, needing some new pants since I ripped mine and she needs new hair dye too" Lana said as she looked down at the orange pjs she was wearing, after taking them from Lincolns old room "Plus Lola and Lilly are going shopping so they're coming with us too, if you want to come you're more than welcome to"
As Lana made her way to the stairs, Luna turned around in her chair "Hey...I've been thinking of getting a new guitar"
15 minutes
Luna was now in vanzilla driving her and her sisters to the mall for their little day out. Lana was sitting in the front and Lola, Lucy and Lilly were sitting in the back "I seriously need to get new heels, I want to look taller than Lana!" Lola said.
"Yeah, the only way you'll get taller is by being a bigger bit-"
"Okay! Remember we have some younger ones in this van Lana" Luna said before she called Lola and bitch in front of Lilly.
"...I'm just saying" Lana muttered as she crossed her arms.
Luna was wearing a black tank top and purple hoodie with some grey cargo pants. Lana was wearing blue jeans and sneakers and a football jersey Lynn handed down to her. She also had her hair cut shorter like how Luna has hers done after Luna suggested it by cutting it herself. Lola was wearing leggings with a pink crop top and high heels. Lucy was wearing a black hoodie with her hood up and leggings but with lines of clean rips going down the front of her legs. She was also on her phone with earphones in, so she wasn't paying attention to anything. Lilly was wearing her regular sneakers and blue jeans and a black and white striped t-shirt Lucy passed down to her.
Luna had now parked outside the mall, and they all exited and started walking to the wall "You guys want to meet in the food court like normal?" Luna asked them all.
"Sounds good"
"Yeah sure"
"You bet!"
Luna nodded "Okay, let's go then"
Everyone then went their separate ways, Lilly going with Luna and Lana and Lola and Lucy going together. Once they split up, Lilly took hold on Lunas hand as they were walking to one of the stores in the mall. Lana was walking next to Luna and she leaned in a bit to Lunas ear "You think you can handle Lilly by yourself while I go to the nail salon?"
Luna nodded "Yeah...wait, did you say-"
Lana was already gone when Luna turned her head to look at her "Since when was Lana interested in the salon?"
"Luna!" Lilly said poking Luna in the arm.
Luna looked down at Lilly "What's up?" she asked her "Can we go to the arcade?"
Luna raised her eyebrow "Didn't know you were into video games haha, sure" the pair made their way to the arcade.
"I started playing Lincolns old video games he still has in his room. They're cool" Lilly explained "There was a scary one called Until Dawn, I stopped playing it after a few minutes"
Luna remembered when Lincoln played it, and it shook him for many nights. She shouldn't have given him that game.
"Why can't I get it? I'm 15!" Lincoln complained to his parents.
Lynn Sr was making dinner in the kitchen and Rita was helping him cut vegetables "Because you're 15 Lincoln, you won't be able to handle it" she said back to him.
Her husband then spoke after her "And you remember what happened last time we let you get that...residential game thing" Lynn Sr struggled to say as he couldn't remember the game.
"Resident Evil" Lincoln reminded him "Ah yeah that was it! You couldn't sleep for days, and you started to sleep with bun bun again. You haven't done that since you were 12" Lynn Sr said.
Lincoln grunted "Okay okay I know that game wasn't the best choice, but Luna got that game, and she was alright after it"
"Because she was 18 when she got herself that game with her own money. When you're 18 and have the money, you can get it"
"But by then they'll probably have made 2 or 3 of them!" Lincoln said.
Nah just the one, pretty good too I played that when I was 14, still kind of scary.
"Lincoln we won't be talking about it anymore" Rita said as she continued helping her husband with dinner.
Lincoln sighed then started to go up the stairs. He then felt his phone vibrate in his pocket and saw it was Luna "Hey Luna" Lincoln said with some disappointment in his voice.
"Hey Lincoln, can you go into my room and see if I still have my old Mick Swagger shirt in there? I want to grab that later tonight. Won't be until maybe midnight because I'm working with Sam on a single" Luna asked.
Luna had dropped out of college after the first year. It wasn't really working out and even though Lynn Sr and Rita were not happy about it, it was Lunas choice. She was doing small gigs and, in the studio, working on music, so it wasn't like she was slacking off. She was staying in a rented apartment where the rent was cheap.
"Uh yeah I can go see" Lincoln agreed "What's up with you? You sound like someone pissed on your shoes" Luna asked her brother.
"Mom and dad just won't let me get this game I want to get, the one you got a while ago. Until Dawn"
"Oh...yeah you wouldn't be able to handle that" Luna said after being silent for a little.
"You don't know that...I'm grown up" Lincoln protested "When you grow your first pube I'll believe it" Luna said with a bit of laughter near the end.
Lincoln groaned "Come on Luna can I just borrow the game? Or at least wait until you come back so I can play it with you or something" Lincoln continued to beg and plead.
Luna just sighed and had a pause for a few seconds "Okay. I'll let you play it until I come over but if you get scared by the time I get there then I'm taking it with me, alright bro?"
"Yes yes yes! That's okay thank you! Where is it?" Lincoln asked her "It's probably under my bed somewhere"
"Thank you! I'll see you when you get back" Lincoln said as he hung up the phone then raced into Luna and Luan's old room. Luna and Luan's room still had their old bunk bed and other junk they didn't take with them when moving out. Lincoln immediately fell to his knees and looked under the bed. Underneath was old junk food, empty soda cans...a beer bottle?
"Ah hah" Lincoln pulled out the video game, which was a little dusty, but Lincoln cracked it open and saw the disc was still in it "Jackpot baby"
"Kids dinner!" Lynn Sr called out.
"Oh shoot...guess I'll be playing you later tonight" Lincoln said as he slid the game back under the bed then ran out downstairs to eat dinner.
Later
Lincoln peaked out his room. It was now around 10pm and he was dressed for bed. Lincoln wore a plain orange t-shirt to bed as well as either wearing his briefs or flannel pyjama pants. He then made his way to retrieve the disc and making sure to sneak quietly to the room. Once he made it, he grabbed the disc and trying to hold back from excitement Lincoln made his way back to his room. Lincoln got a new PlayStation for his 15th birthday from Lori, Leni and Luna chipping in with their own money for him. Which made it difficult for the others to get him a little something too. Lincoln put the disc into his console then waited for everything to get started. He sat on his bed with his controller in hand and a small yet new tv his parents got him for his birthday too.
"This is going to be awesome"
2 hours later
Luna now pulled up in front of the house in her 2012 Chevrolet malibu LS that she bought herself after saving up around 2 grand for a used one. It's taken some work but with the help of Lana and some other friends, it was practically brand new and maybe worth more. Luna got out of the car, and she was wearing a purple plaid skirt and sneakers along with a long sleeve shirt, a darker colour as the skirt. She then walked up the house and used the spare key to get in then started to make her way up the stairs quietly. She then got to Lincolns room then knocked on it slightly.
"Pst...Lincoln...its Luna" she whispered while knocking on her brother's door.
No answer.
"Lincoln?" Luna asked.
No answer still.
Luna then opened the door slightly and peaked inside. She couldn't see because of how dark it was inside Lincolns room. Luna muttered then pulled out her phone then turned her light on to see inside. Nothing much but...Lincolns tv was left on pause.
"What?..." Luna said as she then looked at Lincolns bed and saw Lincoln was under the blanket on his side "Lincoln?"
"Huh!" Lincoln jumped up and pulled the covers off him and wiped his eyes "H-hey Luna...hi" Lincoln said.
Luna raised her eyebrow "Everything alright dude?" she asked as she closed Lincolns door behind her and sat beside him on his bed. Lincoln didn't look up at his sister and instead just fidgeted with his fingers on his lap. Luna shook her head then took the controller sitting beside Lincoln then un-paused the game. Lincoln got up to when Mike and Jess were running away after they found a deer that had been injured and Mike pulled its head off and the deer got pulled away by something.
Jess: AHHH
Mike: WHOA- RUN! RUN!
Jess: Oh my god what the hell was that!
Mike: I don't know!-
"Turn it off!" Lincoln yelled.
Luna quickly paused the game and put the controller down "Jeez bro calm down or you'll wake the rest up" Luna said as she rubbed Lincolns back. Lincoln pulled his knees up to his chest then started to shake a little. Luna stopped laughing a little then started to get serious "Lincolns what's wrong?" she asked him.
"I'm a whimp... that's what's wrong" Lincoln muttered.
Luna was taken aback by this "Why?"
"Because I got scared of a stupid game at 15 years old...what kind of man does that make me" Lincoln questioned.
"Lincoln...bro that doesn't matter. It's why this game is for people 18" Luna reminded him "But just...I'm too old to be getting scared like this" Lincoln said as he wiped his eyes again "Lincoln I was scared when I was 15 too but it didn't stop me from playing it" Luna said.
"...I thought you were 18 when you got it?" Lincoln finally looked up at her when asking her "Uh...don't tell mom and dad" she said clearing her throat.
Lincoln couldn't help but giggle "Really? You? The rocker gal?" Lincoln asked her "Hey shut up" Luna joked back with Lincoln.
The siblings laughed and Luna noticed Lincoln had bun bun with him "Haven't seen you pull that guy out since last year" Lun said as she took bun bun and looked at him "Yeah...kind of a security blanket you know. He really does help with trauma" Lincoln said "Lincoln it was a game"
"You get what I mean!" Lincoln said in defence "Shhh don't wake up mom and dad" Luna said.
Luna handed Lincoln back bun bun "Guess you want to get your t-shirt and go huh" Lincoln said as he then pulled out the shirt from under his bed "I already had it so" Lincoln then gave it to Luna.
Luna took the shirt and smiled "I mean...if you want I can help you get through this game if you'd like" Luna offered "Really?" Lincoln asked her "Yeah...just don't tell mom and dad or they'll kill me" Luna said as she then took the controller. Lincoln scooted closer to her and got ready for the game to continue "Relax bro, it's a piece of cake, just don't make the wrong decision and you'll basically win the game"
Present
Luna was now driving her sisters back from the mall. They played video games at the arcade, went shopping for some clothes and got some lunch at the food court, spending just a few hours at the mall together. Luna ended up being the one to hold everyone's bags, something Lincoln would've done himself, so she understood how bored he must've been. The trip to the mall did help Luna take her mind of things and she enjoyed spending the time with her sisters. She did also get a call from her parents asking if she was okay, so it was nice, they were checking in too. They finally then made it home and everyone grabbed their bags with their new stuff then made their way inside with Luna following last as she locked the van.
They all then went their separate ways leaving Luna by herself. But when everyone was gone, she then walked to Lincolns bedroom. Upon opening it she then quickly closed the door and looked around his room. Everything was as it was when Lincoln had left, with of course the family sometimes coming in being reminded of their past in his room. Like when they hid from Luan in his room when it was April fool's day. That was nice of him to offer them a safe house basically. Luna then looked under Lincolns bed then found a shoe box. She sat on Lincolns bed then opened the box to see a few things inside. One was the until dawn video game Luna let him keep. Lincolns old razor for when he started shaving. Headphones which Luna gave him and among other small little hand me downs everyone gave him. But Luna pulled out a different box and inside was bun bun.
Luna took bun bun out and looked at him. Lincoln did say bun bun always helped with trauma...or Lincoln was just joking about that. But Luna needed more help than just a trip to the mall. She then hugged bun bun the laid down in Lincolns bed. She held bun bun tightly and letting her tears flow down her face very slowly. This was starting to make Luna wishing her brother was here for her like she was for him 6 years ago.
Lincolns pov
Lincoln was now back at the base. They had more training with new recruits which was done and dusted so now they were onto the interrogation tactics. Each recruit was to be taken into a room with a 'kidnapper' and asked a series of questions such as what their name was, where they're from etc. Important details that they wouldn't want exposed. The recruits were given fake names and fake locations and were told to never say their name or give any personal information away. Because if they did, then that was them done and they would have compromised their mission and their loved ones. Lincoln was one of the kidnappers who was taking one of the recruits from a room they were kept in. Bags over their head and zip tied behind their backs to simulate a real kidnapping situation. Lincoln chose one of the girls numbered 2. Upon taking her into the room he placed her in a chair in front of a desk where two other SAS soldiers were going to be the interrogators. Lincoln then stood in front of the door to ensure there was no escape and to let her know she was indeed stuck in the room with them.
One of the men nodded to Lincoln to take the mask off her which he did. The woman didn't say anything and just looked around the room with its one light just barely lighting the room up but the desk and chairs. She spotted Lincoln in front of the door with his mask on as well as the other soldiers were wearing too.
*BANG*
One of the soldiers smashed their hand on the desk and stood up "WHATS YOUR NAME" he demanded.
"Emily" she responded while looking at him.
The other man then leaned in and asked her the same question "WHAT. IS. YOUR. NAME" he said loudly.
"EM-emily" she said catching herself from yelling back.
"Is that so huh?" the other man walked behind her then got in her face "I ASK WHAT YOUR FUCKING NAME IS AND YOU GIVE ME SOME BULLSHIT OF AN EXCUSE FOR A NAME? WHAT'S YOUR NAME" he demanded her again "WE KNOW YOU'RE LYING SO EITHER TELL US OR I SWEAR TO FUCK YOU WILL DIE"
"Emily" she repeated a third time.
The man didn't say anything then just walked around back to his chair then sat down and pulled out a handgun. The woman then gulped "Who's your parents' names" he demanded sternly.
"Alan and Vicky" she responded trying not to break.
"DO YOU THINK WE'RE A JOKE AND WE DON'T KNOW WHO THE FUCK YOU ARE? I ASKED WHO'S YOUR PARENTS NAMES"
The woman looked around the room some more than started to breath heavily as she was interrogated "WELL? COME ON THEN" the man then lifted his handgun but didn't point it at her "Answer our questions and you'll be free" he said as he pulled the hammer back.
She then immediately sprung up and tried going for the door, but Lincoln grabbed her and proceeded to get kicked in the legs "LET ME OUT LET ME OUT" she begged. Lincoln moved her back in her seat then sat her back down.
The man then pressed the gun into her neck and whispered "What's your name..."
"...Olivia" she replied.
Lincoln shook his head while keeping pressure on her shoulders "What's your parents' names?" the other man asked "James and Rebecca..." she trailed off.
The men and Lincoln shook their heads at each other "One last question, where are you from"
"Birmingham" she responded.
He shook his head then started to squeeze the trigger "NO WAIT I-"

The gun was empty "Hand in your number and get the fuck out of here" the man said as he put his gun down and Lincoln cut her out of her zip ties then opened the door for her. She immediately left the room.
The others took their masks off "Alright cough up" one of the men said. Lincoln and the other one threw their masks on the table and then took out £20 each and threw it on the table on top of their masks.
"Told you she wouldn't manage" he said taking his £40 and putting it in his pocket "Aye well at least we have some hope for them to pass it"
Lincoln shook his head "Is that all of them? How many failed now?" Lincoln asked "Looks like her plus 4 more" the other said.
"Alright, shit I thought they'd all get through" Lincoln sat down angrily "You alright mate?" one of them asked "Just...never mind" Lincoln quickly then got up from his chair then left the room "He's in a mood isn't he" the man said.
Lincoln exited the room which was simulated inside one of the storage rooms in the air hanger. Lincoln saw Jack and Adams talking while cleaning and assembling guns at one of the tables with their gear. He took a seat with them. They were all dressed pretty much the same with their camo trousers and empty holsters attached to them. Wearing also their combat boots and dark green under armour shirts which came standard for most of the soldiers on the base and had their logo on their right side of the front. The recruits wore the similar outfits but with "recruit" on the right side of their shirts as well "How's the leg Adams?" Lincoln asked as he sat down with his arms crossed "Had worse. Once got shot in the back and could've fucked me up worse. Might not even be able to walk if it wasn't just off from my spine" Adams explained as he was cleaning the barrel of a L96A1 sniper rifle "How's about the arm? Still feeling shit for getting shot?" Adams asked him.
Lincoln moved his arm in circles for a bit "It's not bad, but seriously I didn't think I'd get shot this early"
"Happens to the best of us mate" Jack said as he put together his glock again after giving it a deeper cleaning "Should've seen me, my first day on the team and I got shot by another fucking recruit by accident in the damn foot" Jack said almost laughing about it now "I said I was sorry" Peters said as he took a seat next to Lincoln while logging the weapons in the logbook "Yeah well sorry doesn't explain why I have 9 toes to girls who see them"
Lincoln and Adams busted out laughing and then covering their mouths "Oh fuck, you're joking?" Lincoln asked as he couldn't believe hearing this.
Jack put his glock down then took his boot off and his sock then put his foot on the table. He did indeed have 9 toes, missing his little one which looked like it was amputated "Oh god bro HAHA!" Lincoln continued laughing "Shut up" Jack said as he put his sock and boot back on.
"Come on if they say the gun isn't loaded then how was I meant to know I had one with one bullet still in the chamber" Peters said, "THE POINT IS YOU DON'T POINT IT AT SOMEONES FOOT AND GO dance boy dance JESUS" Jack said in frustration which only made the guys laugh more.
"Come on guys settle down" Lincoln was able to say without laughing again still "One of my nephews started dating now" Adams mentioned to everyone.
"Oh Charlie?" Peters asked "Is that the oldest one?" Jack asked as well "Yes and yes. 16 and just started finally" Adams laughed.
"Who's the unlucky girl then" Peters asked while laughing too "Unlucky guy actually"
"Oh okay" Lincoln said but the others were a bit silent "Charlie's gay?" Peters asked him as he looked up from his logbook "Hey I found it a surprise too when my sister told me" Adams said raising his hands in defence "Lincoln you don't really seem fazed by that" Jack said.
"I have a sister who's dating a girl, so it's not really something shocking, love is love you know" Lincoln explained while he was checking out one of the shotguns "Huh...well good for Charlie" Peters said as he went back to his logbook as the rest checked the guns.
"You knew anyone else who was gay or something?" Jack asked Lincoln "My best friend's dads, my parents were surprised too when he came over to hang out for the first time ahah" Lincoln mentioned as he loaded the shotgun with a shell then ejected it to make sure it was working "Remington 870 is functional" he then put it down on the table and then someone took it away. There were other soldiers there who were at different tables doing the same thing with armour and a few mor guns. The ones that were checked and managed were then put away with the rest "What were they like?" Adams asked him "Eh, they didn't make it obvious, back then when they were our age you didn't really see many gay couples, let alone married ones" Lincoln mentioned as he then checked out one of the smoke grenades.
"I guess now it's more common though I haven't really seen them actually in person before"
"They're people just like us, it's nothing spectacular" Lincoln informed as he examined the grenade and pulled on the pin a little which was a little stuck "He's right. Shouldn't be trying to focus on what's different about them. Everyone's different and as long as they're happy then they're just another person. Good for your nephew" Peters said.
"Yeah. Although his mum wasn't happy when she basically caught Charlie sucking his boyfriends co-"
Click
"Oh cock-"
*PSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHS*
Lincoln pulled on the pin of the smoke grenade too hard causing it to come out and now the smoke grenade is active "LINCOLN YOU FUCKING MUPPET" Adams yelled as they all jumped from the smoke.
"SORRY...this one's a fault, the pin was rusty!" Lincoln said as he ran outside with the grenade, so the hanger didn't fill with smoke.
4 hours later
"You seriously pulled it? Oh my god hahah!" Sarah laughed "It was rusty! Seriously I got too confident pulling it I thought it wouldn't budge" Lincoln laughed as well.
Lincoln had gone down to the pub with Sarah for dinner. While there Lincoln ordered a flank steak with salsa verde with fennel and currant salad. Sarah gotten salt and pepper calamari with confit garlic aioli. The pair were enjoying their meal and Lincoln seemed to have become cheerier and more talkative with Sarah. While enjoying their meal and chatting, Lincoln saw at the corner of his eye there was a table of women who were looking at him and Sarah and giggling. Lincoln didn't pay attention to them and just focused on Sarah "Theres some girls looking at us behind you" Lincoln said.
Sarah nodded but maintained her smile and attitude "Are you sure?" she asked while taking a sip of her drink. Lincoln this time took a proper look but once looking at them, and clearly seeing them looking at him they immediately looked away and kept laughing. Lincoln looked back at Sarah and nodded to which she shrugged "Maybe they're just seeing how handsome you are" she said laughing.
"Yeah. Is it not clear we're on a date?" Lincoln asked while he went back to eating his steak "Doesn't matter if it's not clear, as long as they don't try anything" Sarah said as she held Lincolns hand.
Just as she did one of the ladies from that same table came up to the couple. She was wearing leggings and high heels as well as a white crop top. Sarah was wearing pretty much the same except wearing Lincolns army jacket and Lincoln wearing what he had before except instead of his under armour it was a dark green hoodie. The pair looked up at the woman "Can we help you?"
"Yeah, do you think I can borrow your friend here for a minute? Me and my friends want to ask him something" she said as she looked at Lincoln and winking.
"Yeah, my boyfriend won't want that" Sarah said as she took a sip from her wine "Yeah I wouldn't thank you, bye now" Lincoln said trying to be polite but still making it clear he isn't interested in the girls.
"Don't think we'd be more fun than this one here?" she said pointed to Sarah. It was pretty clear this woman was drunk from whatever her and her friends were drinking at their table. For some reason that struck a nerve in Lincoln "Trust me. She's more fun than a slut who's getting drunk to probably forget she was cheated on by her boyfriend...then trying to prove she's hot by hitting on another girl's guy" Lincoln said without even giving her so much as a glance.
"...you son of a-" the girl then went to hit Lincoln, but her wrist was grabbed by Sarah.
"You fucking bitch" she said and then tried to hit Sarah but was again blocked by her. Sarah picked up her wine and splashed the girl with it blinding her.
*PUNCH*
Sarah stood up from the table and punched the girl in the stomach causing her body to fold forward and lean on the table "Don't try hitting him or me" Sarah then pushed the girl away back to her table.
Sarah sat down but saw the woman's friends stood up from their table and made their way over to Sarah. Lincoln watched while sipping his water "Outside now" one of the girls said as they all made their way outside. Sarah looked at Lincoln "Can you stay and watch the table baby?"
Lincoln nodded "Don't forget to take your heels off, don't want to break their noses" Sarah giggled at Lincolns comment then walked outside to fight the girls.
Bzz bzz bzz
Lincolns phone was then ringing so he answered it. It was Luna. This made Lincoln curious as she hadn't tried calling him since she told him she was going to be in London.
"Hello?" Lincoln asked her "Hey Lincoln...its Luna" Luna said sounding very faint on the line "Hey Luna...mom, dad and everyone else told me what happened, I'm sorry I missed you"
"No, it's okay. Just kind of hard to get past you know" Luna replied "But I've been getting better I suppose, Lana has been a saint. Everyone else just kind of doesn't want to talk about it, neither do I bro"
"Yeah, I know that feeling" Lincoln said trying to fight back tears for his sister "I just wanted to call and ask you something"
"Sure, what's up?" Lincoln said expecting Luna to ask him if he's dealt with similar things in the army "Were you there?"
"Pardon?"
"Were you there..."
"Were I where? At the theatre? Yeah, me and Sarah got stuck in traffic because they closed the roads leading there"
"No Lincoln...were you in the theatre...like did you see me?" Luna asked again. Lincoln was getting a little nervous as he felt Luna was trying to get at seeing him at the theatre "No? I don't know what you mean sorry" Lincoln tried to say without seeming shaky in his voice.
"I just...I'm not saying you were, but I saw this guy there. The one who saved us and he- it just felt like he was you and it was you there with me because I felt safe. I don't know what I'm talking about...i just wish you were there for me" Luna vented to Lincoln. Lincoln was able to take a sigh of relief as he thought Luna found out it was him. He did know he would have to tell them eventually, but Lincoln was afraid somehow letting them in on it they would be in danger.
"Lincoln did you ever shoot anyone? While in Iraq" Luna asked him another question which seemed kind of random to Lincoln.
Lincoln couldn't help but just puff air from his mouth and scratched the back of his head "Ah I don't think you'll want to know about all of that Luna" Lincoln tried to shield her "Lincoln...I just want to know if my brother was a badass" Luna joked slightly which made the pair laugh.
"Ah...okay"

Lincoln was on patrol in Iraq with Nick, Sam and Michael. They were lucky enough to be selected as a team to patrol one area of the towns. They all wore the same standard gear such as their trousers, shirts, jackets, helmets and boots. Lincoln, Sam and Michael carried standard M4 carbine rifles while Nick was the groups sniper, carrying an all-black 2010 M24E1 enhanced sniper rifle. Equipped with a suppressor. He also carried the same M4 carbine as the rest and carried the sniper on his back with a strap. They also carried a standard SIG Sauer M17 handgun in their holster. Their vests also carried their magazines, so they were well equipped. It was the same day as any other.
They would wake up about 5:00am to get ready, 6:30am physical training, 8:00am have breakfast and head out for patrol work until 13:00 for the next team to take over. That's what they were in the middle of doing and after it would be lunch and training again. They wouldn't get some free time until about 18:30pm, which wasn't bad, and they are pretty much use to the routine since it helped them get into shape. And they also carried their radios and medic kits for any injury. While walking down the street keeping their guard up, Nick beckoned the question "You guys' missing home?"
None of them said anything at first, but since there wasn't any real risk or threat before them, they thought why not chat a little "I miss my parents" Michael admitted "I miss mine too and my little brother" Nick replied.
"I've kind of been missing my older sister, she was kind of annoying to me, but I just miss her calling me a little shit" Sam said.
"We call you a little shit though" Lincoln joked "Yeah but it doesn't sound the same than how she said it" Sam corrected him.
"Come on at least you're in the army. What did she say when you were little? 'You won't amount to nothing'?" Nick asked him "She's the one who actually gave me the idea to join" Sam admitted to his friends.
"Damn isn't that funny haha!" Michael laughed "And how did you join? Dad told you he'd kick you out if you didn't get a job?" Nick asked with a slight smirk "Didn't you say you joined because you actually got kicked out?" Lincoln questioned which made the rest laugh.
Michael turned to Lincoln "How did you end up joining? You never really told us"
Everyone's focus then aimed to Lincoln "Yeah...why did you join the army?"
Lincoln thought if he should tell his friends the real reason why he joined, or what he told his family for why he wanted to join last year. He then sighed and looked at his friends "I joined to get away from my family"
"What? Why would you do that?" everyone asked in unison. Lincoln didn't want to get into it, but if he didn't then they would bother him until they made it back to base camp.
"I felt a burden I suppose...i grew up in a house with 10 sisters and...i guess it just made me feel like an outsider. They all had special skills. Golf, tailoring, music, comedy, sports, spells-"
"What?-"
"Pageants, auto mechanic, science-"
"Getting normal I guess-"
"And pooping-"
"Okay you'll have to explain that one to us bro"
"Sorry it's been a while I don't know what she's good at yet" Lincoln said "But yeah...and what skill did I have? Just having a plan"
"Hey come on Linc, not everyone has a special skill, doesn't mean anything" Michael said putting his hand on Lincolns shoulder "Yeah but still, you get what I mean. It did get them a lot of attention from mom and dad. I'm not blaming them or saying they favourited my sisters more than me, I'd be stressed too having 11 kids"
"From one marriage too in one house"
"And its just like I needed to stand out more than them to be recognised. They didn't treat me that badly"
"You told us they locked you outside because they thought you were bad luck" Nick reminded Lincoln "Which was my fault because I lied about being bad luck"
"...That- that still doesn't excuse it though-"
"I could just be the quietest one there and they'd probably forget I didn't even exist" Lincoln vented some more. They stopped in their tracks as Lincoln wiped his face "So...yeah. I joined the army to get away from them and make myself useful. If I can't be in Michigan, then I can here at least" Lincoln said and then continued walking.
"And I thought getting kicked out was worse...I mean you still did but-"

"CONTACT"
Everyone got behind cover in the alley of 2 buildings. Sam peaked the corner and saw a homemade armour vehicle by one of the enemies and a gunner on the back of the truck with a 50 cal.
"50 CAL! 12 O'CLOCK!" Lincoln yelled as he got a peak from the corner.
"NICK! GET TO THE ROOF AND GET ME A VISUAL!" Lincoln commanded. Nick nodded and made his way through the near building and started heading his way up.
"We need to buy Nick some time!" Lincoln armed his rifle and so did Sam and Michael. They made their way out of the alley and started shooting at the vehicle making it stop and the gunner taking cover behind the homemade shielding.

All three of them opened fire with their rifles while Nick made his way up the building and equipping his sniper rifle. Once reaching the roof Nick took his radio "In position!" Nick then laid down on the flat roof and took aim at the truck.
"BACK TO COVER" Lincoln said as he covered Sam and Michael by shooting more at the truck.

Lincoln ran out of ammo from his magazine making the gunner get back up and take aim at Lincoln "LINCOLN!" Sam yelled for him.
*BANG BANG BANG BANG*
Lincoln immediately dove behind an abandoned car cover in bullet holes. But the bullets immediately stopped. Lincoln looked up and saw the gunner fall from the back of the truck, Nick shot him in the head "Target down"
Lincoln then saw the driver and passenger get out with their AK47s which made Lincoln pull out his handgun but then Michael and Sam shot them.
*BANG BANG BANG*
They also fell to the ground. Lincoln stood up and Michael and Sam came out from cover, checking around the area "No enemies in sight" Nick said from the building as he scanned further around the area with his rifle.
Sam took hold of his radio "Alright man. Get down here"
Nick nodded and started to make his way down the building. Michael checked Lincolns body for any wounds "All good bro?" he asked Lincoln.
Lincoln emptied his rifle and reloaded it with a fresh mag "Yeah...yeah, I'm good. We should report this to base and ask for support too, I don't want to keep moving forward if there's more ahead somewhere"
"I'm on it" Sam said taking his radio and radioing to their main base. Nick then made it down to the ground floor with his rifle "Everyone good?" he asked them.
"Yeah, all good, nice shot by the way" Lincoln said high fiving Nick "Thanks bro, told you I'd be good at it"
Michael was checking out the truck "Jesus they used an old humvee for the armour" Michael said as he could tell the armour was parts from theirs.
Lincoln went to check out the truck with Michael "Keep a lookout until support arrives guys" Lincoln told them. Which Nick was already ahead of doing as he watched their backs. Lincoln stepped over the dead body and checked inside the truck. Inside was just alcohol and cigarettes in the cup holders "Guess they packed the bare essentials" Lincoln said as he threw them out. But Lincoln spotted a small picture on the dashboard of the truck, he grabbed it and looked at it. Lincoln felt like his chest just pushed out all the oxygen in his body.
"You all good bro?" Michael asked as he was checking a notebook. Lincoln held the small photo in his hand "Yeah...all good" Lincoln then stepped out of the truck and sighed while looking around. He took one last look at the photo and looked at the dead body lying on the ground. He then stuffed the photo into his back pocket and patted the man's back "I'm sorry for your son" Lincoln said to him then stood up and went to Nick and Sam.
"Support is on route" Sam told Lincoln "Okay...good"
"Guys check this out" Michael said as he brought the notebook he was checking. The notebook had a small fold up map inside of it and Michael took it out and unfolded it revealing the checkpoints they planned to ambush the other soldiers. Lincoln and his team weren't meant to be going on this route but somehow by chance they crossed paths with these men.
"They have another few trucks apparently meant to be ambushing later in some other streets here, we need to hand this in" Nick said as he looked at the map.
"We'll have to wait until support then we'll let them take over and get a ride from one of the drivers" Lincoln said.
"Our first shootout and kills boys" Sam said almost congratulating them "I didn't get a kill though" Lincoln said.
"Ah...well next time then" Nick said putting his arm around Lincoln.
Present
"That's how I ended up in my first shootout, but didn't I didn't kill anyone in Iraq" Lincoln finished.
Sarah was now back and just listening in on Lincolns story while eating her dinner and holding Lincolns hand while he talked about it. Lincoln was okay, but Luna wasn't as she was a little sad hearing about how Lincoln was being shot at.
"Oh my god bro...I had no idea" Luna said on the other line "I'm alright now, had some people to talk to and offer their experiences at the camp so, I'm better"
Lincoln didn't mention to Luna about why he joined the army or the man's photo of him and his kid in the truck, that wouldn't do Luna any good "I need to go now Luna I'm sorry. I'll call you soon. Tell the others I said hey and I love you all"
"We love you too Lincoln. Bye lil bro"
The siblings hung up on their phone call and Sarah looked at Lincoln with a sad face "That was really something to hear baby" Sarah said. Lincoln nodded "How'd it goes with the girls"
"Ambulance should be here soon, so we should probably leave while we can" Sarah said as she stood up.
Lincoln stood up and opened his wallet to pay for dinner, but Sarah stopped him "It's on me, don't worry" Sarah said as she put down a couple £20s and took Lincolns hand again "We'll have to come back here, food was lovely"
As they left all the girls were outside the pub on the floor and others were helping them sit upright and check their injuries "I love London" Lincoln said happily with Sarah as they walked down the street together.
Can't even explain to you how long this felt to write and how many times I read it back because I enjoyed it.
I hope you all enjoyed reading and I also hope you enjoyed the mix of chill, action and romance too. I liked the comedy too which if you didn't find funny then watching Kevin Hart and vanossgaming didn't help.
Once again I hope you enjoyed and I will see you in the next chapter.
