Welcome to another chapter, I hope everyone had a nice Halloween. I know I did haha. Today as this is posted it is Remembrance Day, or if you live in America, it's also called veterans day. So this chapter will be dedicated to those who thought for us in the wars and battles. Love to all veterans, thank you for your service, same goes for my dad and grandad.

"Come on, what's wrong with getting another one?" Sarah asked Lincoln as they sat in the living room. Private was laying in between them on the sofa and Lincoln was rubbing his forehead "I think one dog is enough, especially with this space we have alright?" Lincoln said with a bit of frustration as Sarah kept bringing up the idea of getting another dog this past week.

Private hadn't been much trouble for the pair, but Sarah had fallen in love with how cute Private was and how much she wanted to get another puppy. But Lincoln wasn't on board with it as Private was enough for him "I thought you grew up with a lot of animals though?" Sarah reminded him "Yeah but they weren't all mine. Most of them belonged to me sister Lana" Lincoln reminded her as he was watching the tv.

"Okay, but you can't handle a second one?" Sarah said "Believe me its chaos when you have a lot of animals, one is enough isn't it?" Lincoln asked her.

"Well, you know...maybe?" Sarah said hesitantly as she wasn't sure. Lincoln just smiled and kissed her head as they both continued to pet Private while he was sleeping.

"Oh! That reminds me!" Sarah jumped up from the sofa and ran to her bedroom, leaving Lincoln and Private looking at each other "I guess she already got a new pup" Lincoln joked rubbing Privates tummy.

Sarah then came back with a little something for Lincoln "What's this?" he asked now curious. Sarah handed him his present while sitting down next to him "Something for Remembrance Day today" she said. Lincoln saw she got him a red poppy pin "Remembrance Day?" he asked.

"Veterans day sorry"

"Ohhh that. Thank you. Wow this looks cool" Lincoln said as he took the pin out and admired it "Something for you to wear" Sarah said as she took the pin from Lincoln and started to pin it on his shirt "That's sweet of you, thank you" Lincoln said as he looked at his shirt with his new pin. Sarah then kissed him on the cheek, and they continued to watch the tv.

Later

After that morning with the couple and their puppy, Lincoln went out to the shops while Sarah went to work. While there Lincoln was in one of the stores him and Sarah went to, so he had a feel for the layout and where things were. While pushing his cart Lincoln noticed he was alone in the aisle. That was weird. He just kept taking items and putting them in his cart while pushing it and just in a cloud of his own thoughts.

*BANG*

There was then a loud gunshot like bang. Lincoln was confused as he looked around. He didn't see anyone still in the aisle, so he kept pushing it thinking an employee or customer dropped something loud. Lincoln was then checking his list.

"Milk, eggs, flour, pasta, beer...what?"

Drops of blood was suddenly dripping on Lincolns list and his hand as he looked at it, he then looked up and saw helicopters flying over him and when he looked back down Lincoln found himself back in Iraq. He was still in his jeans and jacket, but he saw he had his handgun with him. He took hold of it and took cover behind a pile of rubble. Lincoln didn't think twice about what was happening, he just knew from the dark knight sky and the fire surrounding him, he was in Iraq. Lincoln peaked over the rubble and saw a man standing out in the open, he was holding a bowie knife in his hand. He looked ahead and without questioning if Lincoln was there said "The killer has returned"

It was Zidan.

Lincoln felt his heart race and his head flood with memories from what happened. The memory of being kicked down to his stomach, and his back carved with the blood words 'killer' it made Lincoln hold the front of his head with one hand while keeping his other on his gun. The gunshots echoed through his head as he remembers what he faced.

Zidan slowly walked towards Lincoln, scraping his knife along other piles of rubble near him hearing the light screeching noises coming from it "You know what you are...and I know what you are. You killed those who deserved it but does that really make you a hero. You're a man with a gun, you aren't no hero boy" Zidan inched closer and closer while Lincoln tried battling the thoughts inside of his head. He couldn't get them out and it caused him to fall on his backside grunting in pain from how he was feeling.

"That's it...feel what you've caused others. You're team...your family...your sister-"

"NO!" Lincoln yelled as he grabbed his gun and started firing it in the air then quickly getting back to cover after letting go of his head.

Zidan didn't stop getting closer "You killed me...and rightfully so, but how does that make you look? You and I aren't so much different...we kill because we must, but that doesn't make us good people now does it" Zidan whispered getting into Lincolns head again.

Lincoln thought back to what happened that night.

"DON'T YOU FUCKING TOUCH HIM"

"That's how you punch. Make your enemies bleed!"

"He's a tough one I'll tell you that"

"ZIDAN YOU MOTHERFUCKER STOP IT"

The voices echoed through Lincolns head, this made Lincoln closed his eyes and trying to shake them off. It was proven difficult for Lincoln. Zidan then turned the corner. His head was still bloody from when Lincoln smashed it in. Zidan looked down at Lincoln, he raised his knife "You don't deserve to live-"

"Son are you okay?"

Lincoln then snapped out of it and found himself on the floor in the same position but behind his cart instead of rubble. He was holding his hands like he was holding his gun. Lincoln looked around and saw other people were looking at him, the man who was leaning down in front of him was an older man, dressed in jeans and a brown leather jacket and bonnet "You're alright. You're safe" he said trying to comfort Lincoln.

Lincoln however found himself hyperventilating when he snapped back to reality. Lincoln then stood up and looked around as others stared at him. The older man looked at them all "Alright nothing to see here, just some PTSD stuff go on!" he said telling them all to continue shopping.

He then looked back at Lincoln and placed his hand on Lincolns shoulder "Are you okay? Need some water?" he said offering a bottle from one of the fridges.

Lincoln didn't say anything except taking the water bottle and drinking it, his mouth felt very dry "There you go, you're alright there" he said. Lincoln stopped drinking and then bent over still taking deep breathes "How uhm...how did you know what that was?" Lincoln asked looking up to the man.

"Son, I served too. Army for 10 years. I'm assuming you're the same?" he explained. He looked to be in his 70s. Lincoln nodded to his question "Army for two years, special forces for one"

The man nodded "I understand. I noticed you have a poppy too" the man said noting at it "I had PTSD for a while after serving, I imagine this is your first episode?"

Lincoln sort of half nodded "I uhm...I saw my friend last week...he died in Iraq 2 years ago" Lincoln said "You saw and spoke to him?" the man asked "Yeah uh- uh I guess so" Lincoln said as he realises it may sound stupid "It's alright, I saw my old buddies too. It was like they were there, but they were also like ghosts, they looked exactly how they did when they died"

Lincoln agreed "Yeah that's how he looked too...still bloody and dirty" Lincoln said but also closed his eyes tightly after just being reminded of that and took another drink of water "Alright well, I think its best you go home and get some rest" the man said as he patted Lincolns back "Thank you for your service too son" the man then went on to leave but Lincoln stopped him.

"What's your name sir?" he asked him, no idea why but Lincoln was just curious to what his name was in case he saw him again. The man smiled lightly at Lincoln "Lincoln" he then continued walking with his basket of his shopping.

Lincoln kind of stood there still. Unsure of what to say he just let the man continue walking. He looked down at his dry and clean shopping list and went on to continue his shopping. As he walked down the aisles, he noticed he was now in the alcohol section. For some reason Lincoln looked at the available bottles then took a bottle of johnny walker whiskey and put it in his cart.

Later

Lincoln returned home with his bags of shopping for him and Sarah. She still wasn't back from work since it was only just about 10am. Lincoln put the bags on the kitchen counter then immediately took out the bottle of whiskey. Lincoln never tried whiskey let alone any types of spirit drinks, just only beer. He cranked open the bottle and took a whiff of the whiskey. The smell of cedar wood, oak and soft smoke with rum spice was very appealing to Lincoln. He then without pouring the whiskey into a glass, took a sip from the bottle itself. Lincolns tastebuds were hit with notes of wood smoke and dry spice along with hints of cereal with creamy toffee and a distinct herbal note. Lincoln quite enjoyed the taste and just sat down on the sofa with the bottle in his hands and took another sip.

"I never took you for a drinker Linc"

Lincoln nearly spilled the whiskey down his body as David was now back, this time sitting next to him like he's been there the whole time "Jesus what are you doing here again" Lincoln asked him, although this time not even fazed by David appearing "Thought I'd give you a visit, it's been a while" David said as he kicked his dusty boots on the coffee table in front of them. Lincoln didn't pay attention and kept drinking from the bottle "Take it easy there, don't wanna waste a good drink"

Lincoln swallowed the alcohol and felt his throw burn a bit "What do you care...you're dead" Lincoln said as he didn't even give David a single look "True but come on man" David then took the bottle from Lincoln "At least share it" David said as he took a drink from Lincolns bottle. Lincoln took the bottle back "Didn't even know dead guys can drink"

"Think of me as an angel, you know I'm here to help you out"

"If you're an angel then where's your wings heh?" Lincoln joked as he drank again while laughing, nearly finishing a quarter of the bottle "Come on I'm just here to help you out, I know what happened in the store, that's tough man"

"Yeah, you don't know the half of it" Lincoln said as he held the bottle in both his hands as he stared at it. The alcohol was slowly making him feel better about what happened, like it is making him forget what happened today. Just what Lincoln needed.

*knock knock knock*

Lincoln looked at the front door after hearing the knocks, he looked at David who had now disappeared "Oh sure you disappear when we have company, real mature" Lincoln muttered as he stood up and walked to open the door. He wasn't really drunk yet, but he was hoping to make his way there.

Lincoln opened the door and saw it was Peters on the other end wearing his grey hoodie and jeans "Hey?" Peters said as he was confused seeing Lincoln with the bottle in his hand "Hey...what you are doing here?" Lincoln asked him.

"I tried calling you, but you weren't picking up. Audrey wanted to know if you and Sarah wanted to come over for dinner...bit early for that isn't it?" Peters asked Lincoln as he pointed to the bottle in Lincolns hand.

"Well...when isn't it haha" Lincoln laughed as he took another drink from the bottle.

Peters shook his head in disappointment "What's going on mate" Peters asked as he let himself into the flat. Lincoln closed the door after taking his drink "Nothing...just wanted a drink"

"It's not even the afternoon. Come on what's going on?" Peters asked Lincoln with his arms crossed, waiting.

Lincoln tried to beat around the bush, but it wasn't going to happen. He wiped his mouth from the whiskey and sighed "I saw him again..." "Who?" Peters asked.

"Zidan...i saw him again"

Lincoln felt like he was on the edge of crying his eyes out "You started seeing stuff didn't you" Peters said as he understood immediately.

Lincoln nodded as he then put the bottle down on the kitchen counter and just leaned against it "I also...saw my friend...well I still see him" Lincoln explained "He died in Iraq 2 years ago, I started seeing him last week and just before you came over" Lincoln admitted.

"Who else knows?" Peters asked Lincoln, expecting Lincoln to have not told anyone "Uhm...you...and this man who helped me when I saw Zidan at the store today" Lincoln came clean "He was in the army and understood...I guess he's been there"

"Linc we've all been there. I had the same thing after the army. It's brutal and it leaves you sceptical of everyone and the only thing to help it is...well what you're doing right now but it's really not needed mate" Peters said as he patted Lincolns shoulder "He called me a killer again...really making me believe I am" Lincoln admitted as he rubbed his forehead getting thoughts of Iraq again. Peters could feel Lincolns pain, but he then got an idea "Here, come on" Peters said as he grabbed Lincolns bottle.

Later

Lincoln and Peters were now in Peters truck driving down the road. Lincoln still hadn't felt really drunk yet, he just felt slightly relaxed. A little unaware of where Peters was taking them. Peters then parked the car "Alright, we're here" Peters said as he got out the truck, still holding Lincolns bottle of whiskey. Lincoln got out and found himself at the brookwood military cemetery.

"Why are we at a cemetery?" Lincoln asked "Just wanting to show you something"

The pair walked up to the gravestones in the cemetery and Peters leaded Lincoln to a gravestone, and on it read "S. T. MEARES. DFC. Pilot Royal Air Force. 15th November 1941. Age 25. Commanded the 71st Eagle Squadron"

Lincoln couldn't help but feel sorry for the soldier. Died just a few years older than Lincoln. Peters then pointed to another one that read "W. T. VOLLER THE LIFE GUARDS 8th February 2006, AGE: 100"

"Some live past the war and PTSD, some will die in the battle or die battling PTSD" Peters explained "My dad was in the marines, and he battled PTSD all up until 10 years ago. He couldn't handle it so...when I went to visit him with Audrey after he didn't return our phone calls, we walked in and saw he uhm- he...he took his life" Peters opened "He called me, but I didn't pick up and he left a voicemail saying he couldn't do it, he couldn't continue, and he told me he loved me. He went through his whole life barely telling me that and it was his final words to me. I reply that message god knows how many times when I feel like how you are feeling"

Peters then took out his phone and then pressed play on something, before Lincoln could speak, he started hearing the voice "Hey uhm...son I- I can't get a hold of you right now...i guess you're busy with your life or something...I started to drink again- I know I said I quit but it just- it helps. I just wanted to tell you I- I know I've been hard on you growing up. I honestly wasn't the best dad you could've asked for but I did my best for you son...please don't go through what I have...i love you son I just- I just can't keep pushing on...take care and- and please...please keep being our country's hero" the voicemail then stopped and Peters couldn't help but smile "I tell you if I could power the world with just how many times I listened to this voicemail we wouldn't need electricity at all anymore"

Lincoln felt touched listening to Peters dad, he seemed genuine "How old was he?" Lincoln asked.

"62...just 62"

Lincoln then looked at his bottle. He was not wanting to make a big mistake, so he opened the bottle and poured it out on the grass "I'm sorry...that was stupid" Lincoln said as he realised, he just poured whiskey on the grass of a cemetery "Don't worry, I guess they'll be thankful for a drink on you"

Lincoln laughed a bit and so did Peters "So...come on let's get some coffee then you can hang out at mine until dinner, Audrey's making short ribs" Peters offered while he and Lincoln started making their way back to his truck.

Later

Peters drove Lincoln back to his house after picking themself up a couple coffees for themself plus Peters wife. Once they headed in Audrey was sitting in the living room watching the tv but then jumped-up seeing Lincoln after Peters told her he couldn't get a hold of him "Oh Lincoln you're okay" Audrey said as she gave Lincoln a hug to which Lincoln accepted and hugged her back. She then however let go of Lincoln after smelling the alcohol on him "Are you drunk?" she asked.

"I don't know, maybe a little" Lincoln said while taking a sip of his half empty cup of coffee. Peters then gave his wife a kiss and gave her the coffee he got her "I found him drinking, he might be a bit tipsy" Peters informed her while he went to take a seat on the sofa.

"Why were you drinking? It's not even the afternoon yet" Audrey then checked her watch "It's 10:50 jesus Lincoln" Audrey was disappointed in Lincoln "Yeah, I know, should I be here? I feel like I shouldn't be here" Lincoln asked Audrey and Peters as he was feeling regret coming over after necking a quarter of the bottle of whiskey. Audrey sighed and rubbed Lincolns shoulder "It's fine, just finish your coffee and I'll make you another cup for dinner" Audrey said as she went to sit down next to her husband. Lincoln then sat down in the armchair, not bothering to sit back comfortably but rather leaning over holding his coffee in between his legs with his hands.

Lincoln then remembered "Where's Emma? Is she here or" Lincoln asked, "She's at a friend's house" Peters said. Audrey then spoke up with a question for Lincoln "What were you doing drinking?" she asked. Lincoln and Peters then looked at each other, unsure if Lincoln should say.

Lincoln thought 'fuck it' then started to explain to her what happened from the moment he lost David in Iraq to then seeing him in his bedroom and then what happened in the store. This all is what lead to Lincoln drinking the whiskey, as it was starting to help ease his pain, but then thankfully Peters stopped him from drinking the whole bottle. That wouldn't have been a good idea of him to do but thankfully he was stopped and showed the men who gave their lives so they can live theirs. Peters helped Lincoln realise that despite killing people, he also saved others as well. That's what makes him a hero, it's what makes him who he is. The scars he has do not make him a monster, but rather makes him a survivor and a fighter.

After Lincoln vented about what had happened to Audrey as well as some details he hadn't said to Peters yet, they both looked at each other and held each others hand "Peter went through the same thing. He was a wreck when he came back home" Audrey said squeezing her husbands hand tightly while Peters said looking at her smiling a bit "Don't worry. If you have any issues you can come to us, we understand"

This made Lincoln feel a sense of comfort as he had someone to talk to "Will you tell Sarah what happened too?" Peters asked curiously. Lincoln didn't really think to tell Sarah what had happened, he was mostly fixated on just trying to deal with it himself "I'll tell her after dinner, I don't want the mood to be down tonight" Lincoln told them to which they understood and nodded "Okay, well-"

*Bzz bzz bzz bzz*

Audrey was then interrupted with her phone buzzing "One second sorry" Audrey then put her coffee on the table then answered the phone while going to the kitchen.

Peters then looked at Lincoln after watching his wife leave to take her phone call "If you want there's this veteran's night, they do every friday for veterans with PTSD, I sometimes go with Jack if you're interested next week" Peters offered. However, the moment Peters said that Lincoln was immediately against it. He felt embarrassed about the idea to go and talk about his struggles like he wasn't strong enough to deal with it himself. But as he thought about it, it didn't seem like such a bad idea "I'll think about it" Lincoln said as he finished his coffee.

"What do you mean he hit her?" Audrey said in the kitchen. Lincoln and Peters looked at each other, put down their coffee cups then stood up from their chairs to see what Audrey was talking about.

Audrey was still on the phone talking to whoever "Is he drunk?" Audrey asked.

10 minutes later

Both Peters and Lincoln were now back in the truck with Audrey sitting in the passenger seat and Lincoln in the back while Peters drove "What do you mean he 'disciplined' Emma's friend?" Lincoln asked Audrey. Both the parents were on the edge with anger after the phone call "I don't know but I told Emma to lock themselves in the bathroom, her dad might be passed out on the sofa I don't know" Audrey explained while also trying to keep on the phone with Emma.

Emma and her friend Rachel were playing at Rachels house while her mum left them with Rachels dad to go to the shops. Rachels dad then got drunk and while seeing Emma and Rachel accidentally break a glass, he hit Rachel in front of Emma. Sarah then immediately called Peters and Audrey that they were scared and wanted to be picked up. Needless to say they weren't happy, neither was Lincoln. They finally arrived at the house to which the parents immediately got out while Audrey was telling them to come out now they're here. Lincoln then got out and held the door open for the girls to get in to until Rachels mother gets home, they can't leave her in the house. The girls then came rushing out then Peters immediately rushed inside the house. Rachel had a visible bruise on her cheek, this infuriated Lincoln. He helped the girls into the backseat of the truck and Audrey then came over to comfort Rachel. Emma then hugged her mother.

"YOU FUCKER YOU HIT YOUR OWN DAUGHTER? YOU SACK OF SHIT!"

*CRASH BANG CRASH*

"Lincoln stop him!" Audrey begged.

Lincoln then ran into the house and found Peters punching the father in the face while he was in his drunken state. Lincoln then grabbed Peters but then Peters pushed Lincoln off causing him to knock into the glass cabinet smashing. Peters then continued to beat the shit out of the father, but Lincoln then grabbed Peters and pulled him off this time "IT'S NOT WORTH IT JUST STOP" Lincoln yelled while holding Peters back.

The man now had a bruised face and bleeding from his lip, however Peters did not regret it one bit. Peters then fixed his jacket then looked at Lincoln "Oh fuck are you alright?" he asked realising what he just did to Lincoln "I'm fine I'm fine, let's just step outside" Lincoln said as he leaded him outside the house and to the truck where the girls were. Audrey was on the phone to who the pair could only assume was Rachels mother "Should we call the police?" Lincoln questioned. But as he said that Peters was already dialling 999.

Audrey then stepped out the truck and went to her husband hugging him "They're outside now. I don't think your husband will do anything now" Audrey said still on the phone. Peters hugged his wife as he then got hold of the police "Yes I need an officer here for child abuse-"

While they took their phone calls Lincoln walked over to the truck and checked on the girls. He stood outside the truck as the windows were down "You both okay?" he asked them.

Rachel was hugging Emma, it seemed Rachel was the only one crying while Emma was staying strong for her "I'm okay...Rachel-"

"I-I'm fine" Rachel stuttered a bit trying to not cry more. Lincoln felt bad for her after what happened. A drunk parent isn't something for an 8-year-old to see, let alone any child. Lincoln scratched his jaw while trying to think of a way to help calm Rachel. Emma was doing a good job by hugging her, but it wasn't going to be enough.

Lincoln then remembered. He took out his phone and went to the angry birds app "Hey Rachel, have you ever played angry birds before?" Lincoln asked her. Rachel wiped her face and nodded while looking at Lincoln. Lincoln smiled then handed the girls his phone "Try and see if you can beat Emma at it, she's pretty good she beat me before" Lincoln said. This made the pair laugh a little then start to play the game.

Just after doing that a police car had arrived. The man and woman got out of the car and approached Audrey and Peters "Are you the ones who called for the child abuse?" the policewoman said. Peters nodded and pointed to the open door "In there, he's probably still passed out"

She nodded then went in while the policeman stayed with them to take a statement, it was at that point the man noticed Lincoln "Hey wait. I know you! You're that bloke that helped the girl with her abusive boyfriend" the man said practically laughing a bit seeing Lincoln again.

"Oh? Haven't seen you for a while...uhm" Lincoln said trying to remember his name although he was never told it "PC Tommy Vince" the officer said holding his hand out to Lincoln "Lincoln Loud" Lincoln returned back friendly.

"Funny seeing you again, been a while" Tommy said taking out his notepad to take the statement "So what happened here then?"

Before Peters was meant to give his statement, they were interrupted "VINCE HELP!" the woman yelled out. Immediately Tommy ran inside the house with Lincoln and Peters following behind to possibly help out.

Inside the living room they saw the woman with the father on top of her throwing punches at her while he had one wrist clipped with her handcuffs. Tommy went to grab him off her and Lincoln and Peters helped him. Once they managed to get him off, they held him down on his front while Tommy cuffed his other wrist as well behind his back "YOU FUCKING PIGS" he yelled out on the ground. Once that was done Lincoln helped up the policewoman "Oh my- oh thank you lads" she said thanking them "No worries love, you alright?" Peters asked while him and Tommy got the father up on his feet "I'm just fine" she said wiping her face "You're under arrest for child abuse and assault of an officer" she said helping Tommy take him to their car. Lincoln and Peters followed out once again "Never thought we'd have to go back in there" Lincoln joked.

Later

Lincoln was now with Peters and his family along with Sarah and they just finished telling Sarah what had happened. Sarah looked at Emma and smiled "You're very brave for helping your friend" Sarah said. Emma was calmer than she was before, and Rachel was after her dad was arrested and she got to play angry birds "And you!" Sarah said turning to Lincoln who was sitting next to her "You are such a good friend and uncle" Sarah said smiling as she pulled Lincoln to her and gave him a kiss on the cheek.

"eeewwww" Emma said giggling "Emma!" Audrey said as it was a little rude but at the same time made them all laugh at the table eating their dinner. Lincoln smiled and kissed Sarah back on the cheek "It's nothing really" Lincoln said while drinking his cup of coffee.

Sarah was a little confused why Lincoln was drinking coffee at dinner "I was wondering why you're drinking coffee at dinner; I don't know about you, but I'd rather just drink water or wine for dinner" Sarah said laughing "But really why are you drinking coffee?" Sarah asked.

Lincoln looked at Peters and Audrey then back at Sarah "I'll tell you after dinner" Lincoln said placing his hand on her thigh. Sarah shrugged it off thinking Lincoln was just enjoying his coffee recently. They continued to enjoy their dinner for the rest of the night until Lincoln and Sarah had to leave after saying goodnight to Emma who was just reaching her bedtime.

The pair got into Sarahs car and before turning it on she turned to Lincoln with a face that could scream 'what did you do' Lincoln saw what was to come next so he took a deep breath "I...i started seeing my friend David"

Sarah raised her eyebrow in confusion "What do you mean? Like you were seeing a friend today?" Lincoln shook his head "No no. David was my friend in Iraq. And he died while saving me and my other men. Just last week I started seeing him again in person. Not like haunting me but it was like he was with me and we were talking like nothing happened. Then when someone interrupts he just disappears" Lincoln explained. Sarah nodded as she listened to Lincoln explain "And then today while I was at the shops for us, I saw the man who carved the scars into my back...i saw him and it felt like I was back in Iraq" Lincoln went on "I then snapped out of it and this man helped me recover basically, he explained its happened to him and its happened to Peters as well as Jack too. But after that happened I got a bottle of alcohol and started to drink the whole thing-"

"So that's why you were drinking coffee today" Sarah caught on "Yeah exactly. And Peters came over and luckily stopped me, funny because before he did David was there sharing it with me- but that's besides the point sorry. My point is I want you to know because if it happens again I want you to be able to help me. Like you said you would" Lincoln said taking Sarahs hand smiling at her "I'm sorry I didn't tell you sooner and instead drank until I was passed out, I shouldn't have done it and I won't do it again"

Sarah nodded from understanding Lincoln and then rubbing the back of Lincolns hand while holding it with her other "I know baby, I know" Sarah leant in and kissed Lincoln on the lips to which Lincoln returned. They pulled apart and Sarah couldn't help but giggle "No wonder you didn't kiss me when I came over, your breath reeks!" Sarah laughed which also made Lincoln have a little chuckle "By the way coffee won't really help you sober up" Sarah laughed again then started up her car "What will?" Lincoln asked "Time, so let's go home, you'll feel better tomorrow" Sarah then drove off.

If you are reading this at 11am on the 11th of November, whatever year it may be, then please take a 2 minute silence for those who thought for us and gave their lives so we could live ours. Veterans average number of suicides per day rose from 81 per day in 2001 to 121 per day in 2020. Some will choose to get help, some will deny it, but suicide will the outcome.
