Authors Notes: And we're back with Voltron Frozen Defender Rise of the Snow Queen. Now this chapter is the canon episode of Hole in the Sky, which will have some adjustments and additions with the Frozen crew in tow. Some will be a surprise. Now without further delay let's begin.

:Hole in the sky:
It was a peaceful day in the Kingdom of Arendelle, the sun was shining and the birds were chirping in the summer breeze. In the village Elsa walked around greeting her people as they passed by. Elsa could only admire her kingdoms beauty and then.
"Elsa!" She heard a familiar voice and she saw running towards her was Anna in her usual green dress with Kristof and Sven with Olaf riding on him. Elsa could only smile in joy as she embraced her sister in a hug.
"Anna, y, your here your okay!" She said in a joyous voice. "Of course I am we're home sis." Anna replied.
"Yeah we're all here together." Kristof said happily Elsa could only smile as she stroked the reindeer.
"Your majesty." Said another voice from behind her and when she turned round she gasped. It was Shiro dressed in the same black suit he wore at the ball. Tears soon formed in the ice queens eyes as she ran to him and embraced him in her arms.
"Shiro y, your really here but I thought.." Elsa said looking up to him.
" Why wouldn't I be here, this is my home now since Zarkon's dead." Shiro said with a loving smile.
Elsa couldn't help but smile as everyone she loved was here she even saw the other Paladins around the kingdom. However the joy was short lived as suddenly a huge blizzard blew in and Elsa was blinded when she came to her senses she could only look in horror the entire village was frozen in ice along with its people.
"No!" Elsa breathed in horror she looked around and saw all the villagers were frozen solid.
The greatest horror was yet to come for she saw Kieth, Lance, Hunk, Pidge, Allura and Coran frozen in ice she then looked and saw Anna frozen in ice her heart broke when she saw her it was like the frozen kingdom incident all over again and saw Kristof and Sven frozen too. Her heart was then completely shattered when she saw Shiro frozen in ice.
" no no no, not again please!" Elsa panicked with her hands to her head and suddenly all the ice statues shattered like glass all around her. Suddenly she heard a laugh coming from the nearby fog and emerging from it was the Snow Queen. Elsa could only look in horror when she saw her.
"I'm coming to find you dear Elsa." The Snow Queen said in a wicked smile as she used her powers to hit Elsa in the heart and she was beginning to freeze.
"No, no!" She cried as she froze in a statue.
Elsa woke up screaming in terror, she breathed heavily like she was having a panic attack. She took several deep breaths and looked around to see she was covered in a bed sheet and wearing blue Altean sleeping robes. She could see she was in one of the sleeping quarters on the Castle of Lions. She saw that the bed and sheets were coated in ice which was normal given her powers were tied to her emotions. She put her face in her hands trying to wipe away tears.
"It.. it was just a dream." Elsa breathed in relief as she calmed down. However the peaceful mood was disturbed when an alarm sounded throughout the castle.
The Bridge:
Elsa arrived on the castle bridge to find the Paladins, Allura and Coran at their stations looking at what seemed to be a distress call.
" Guys what's going on?" Elsa asks.
" We're not sure." Kieth answered.
"Yeah these have never gone off before." Pidge agreed given she'd never seen these alerts before. Olaf, Sven, Flurry and the mice arrived on the bridge slightly tired and yawning.
" What's with all the noise?" Olaf yawned " We were just sleeping then we heard a loud noise."
"We're getting an alert but we don't know for what?" Hunk said. Lance then noticed the look on Allura's face she was completely frozen in shock as was Coran.
" Allura what is it?" Lance asked.
"looks like you guys just saw a ghost?" Hunk added.
" That's just the thing" Coran said looking at the console. " It's an old Altean distress code one used by King Alfore's ships."
"What?" Elsa said in complete surprise "I thought you said all your people were wiped out when Zarkon destroyed your planet?"
"So, do you think that means..." Olaf wondered looking up at the Altean Princess.
"Could it be" Allura said with hope in her voice. "Are we not the last Alteans alive?!" Elsa could see the look in Alluras eyes and hoped it was true.
"Wait a minute" Kieth then said "What if someone's cloning the signal to try and lure us in?" He could tell something was not right about this and could tell his senses were telling him this was a trap.
"The signal is from an Altean ship and we're going to find it!" Allura decided as the circular consoles for her station appeared and just like that this turned into a rescue mission.
Far side of the universe:
A wormhole opens in an asteroid field in a distant corner of the galaxy and as the Castle of Lions emerged from it the crew were granted the sight of what appeared to be an Altean ship stuck in a hole of yellow energy. Elsa was now in her normal blue ice dress and sitting in Lances former station with Olaf close to her side whilst Sven stood with Coran looking over his shoulder.
From her station Allura could instantly recognise the ship. "That looks like a Tel-Galax exploration shuttle." She explained "one of my fathers deep space vessels."
"So what's it doing out here? Elsa used the console at his station to look up the ship and find out what its mission was before it disappeared.
" According to the ships identification code, it's Commodore Trayling's ship." Coran relayed. "But I don't see any records of its destination or mission?" He then said as he couldn't see anything that told him why the ship was here to begin with.
"What happened to it?" Asked Lance wondering what could have happened.
"Is it stuck in a wormhole?" Hunk then asked.
" That's unlike any wormhole I've ever seen?" Coran relayed.
"Aren't wormholes supposed to be blue and glowy that ones yellow and glowy?" Olaf asked.
"Yes that literally what I just said?" Coran said. The holo display then brings up a scan of the strange anomaly as Pidge examines it.
"There's a massive amount of energy emanating from it, centred right where the ship is stuck." Pidge said. "It's signature does seem similar to the rip that leads to Arendelle but it's too irratic and unstable." She then said.
"We have to see if anyone is aboard. They may need our help." Allura decided.
"I agree but shouldn't we first see if it's safe to approach?" Elsa then suggested.
"We could send a probe over to it see if we can get some kind of idea of what this thing is?" Pidge then suggested to Kieth.
"Do it." He decided.
From the Castles exterior a small probe travels towards the anomaly and as it does Pidge and Hunk begin analysing it.
"The energy shows no signs of radioactive decay and it's not thermal." Pidge said looking at her console monitoring for radioactivity or thermal radiation.
Outside the probe draws ever closer to the anomaly. "It's not gravitational our probe is steady on course and the light is radiating out, not in, like it would in a black hole." Hunk observed from his station.
"But out from where?" Pidge wondered. Coran looked at the signature and could see something familiar in the wave patterns.
"That energy signature, I know it." He said and it finally hits him. "It's radiating Quintessence!" He surmised as the probe draws ever closer to the anomaly and as it hits the light the probe is turned into atoms.
"Whoa! That was wired." Hunk said in surprise.
"What just happened?" Elsa asked.
"The probes been reduced to atoms." Hunk said but Elsa was confused as she didn't know what atoms were and Hunk could see the confused look on her face. "But the short version is it was destroyed when it reached the light." He explained.
"Oh." Elsa said in surprise.
"Oh that must hurt I say we don't go anywhere near that bright light!" Olaf said a little scared and even Flurry squeaked in fright.
"I'm with Olaf let's not go anywhere near it!" Lance agrees. Sven just gulps at the possibility of being blown up.
"We must" Allura then protested. But Hunk couldn't believe what she was suggesting.
"Hold on. Didn't you just see what happened?" He questioned.
"Voltrons compositional strength exceeds anything else in this universe." Allura started. "We received an Altean distress call which must mean that someone is alive on that ship."
Everyone especially Elsa listens to what Allura is suggesting that they do. "As Paladins of Voltron it is our duty to help." She finished but everyone still remained skeptical especially Kieth.
"Princess, I still think there's a chance that this whole thing is a trap." Kieth disagrees.
"Allura." Elsa then said getting her attention. "I want to believe that maybe some of your people survived and I could not be more happy if they have but I think Kieth's right." She said. "I mean don't you think it seems a little bit of a coincidence that this distress call just happened to reach us?"
"Even if it's not a trap it's far to dangerous to go in there." Coran agreed worrying for the princesses safety. Allura though was still standing strong by her hopes that there was a chance there's a surviving Altean on the ship.
"I'll do it myself if I have to." She said as she started walking towards the elevator to her lion.
Kieth then stood up with a look of serious concern he knew Allura was dead set on going through with this despite the risks of it being a trap set by the too looked in concern as she worried that maybe Allura was letting her feelings cloud her judgement.
"Okay everyone get to your lions." Kieth finally decides. "We're going in to investigate."
"Kieth, I'd like to come with you." Elsa said getting up from her station.
"No it's too dangerous, we don't know what we're dealing with." Kieth said.
"Maybe but I still want to be there for Allura in case this is either a trap or a wild goose chase." Elsa said "you know that too." Kieth took a minute to decide and nodded in agreement.
Soon the team in their Paladin suits, formed Voltron and began approaching the anomaly slow and steady.
"Alright, let's take it slow." Kieth advised from the Black Lion. "Pidge any chance you can explain what I'm seeing right now?" He then asked.
Pidge looked at her lions holo console as she analysed the anomaly. "The Euclidean space around the ship is obviously some kind of anomaly." She explained. "But the energy source doesn't originate from anything that registers with my understanding of how reality works."
"I'll take that as a no." Kieth said as Voltron approaches the Altean ship.
"I'll scan the ship for Biorhythms." Hunk said and used the sensors in his lion to scan the ship but as he does a large hexagonal red cross appears indicating a negative scan.
"That's strange, I'm not showing any signs of life on the ship." Hunk said in suspicion.
"So there maybe no one on board?" Elsa asked from the Blue Lion now wearing her flight suit and stood close to Allura.
"Maybe not in this half." Allura surmised "but there is more to this ship than we are seeing."
Voltron steadily approaches the glowing anomaly. "We need to go through there." Allura indicated.
"The glowing exploding area?" Lance said in concern.
"Well we've come this far there's no turning back now." Elsa said and Allura smiled a little knowing that her friend was with her no matter the outcome of this mission.
"Pidge keep an eye on Voltron's vitals." Kieth decided. "Everyone be prepared to abort if things get hairy." He then warned.
"Rodger that ready to abort immediately." Hunk said not wanting to get blown up but knew they were going in anyway.
Voltron began to enter the bright light emanating from the anomaly but unlike the probe He wasn't destroyed or torn apart. That didn't stop the sensors in the lions from sounding off.
"Guys my sensors are going crazy." Pidge relayed. "Technically, we should be torn apart the same way the probe was, but somehow Voltron is completely unaffected by the stress of the spatial distortion."
Back on the castle Coran was watching everything keeping an eye on Voltron and listened in on the com Channel which was getting distorted as the Paladins entered.
"Hello? What are you seeing I'm losing visual. Hello?" Coran said as he was loosing the signal from Voltron.
Voltron was soon engulfed by the bright light and the com lines went dead on the castle and all sight of Voltron was lost.
"NO!" Coran yelled in horror and Sven cried in horror too and weren't sure what had become of their friends or family.
On the other side:
The front view of Voltron emerged from the light and in front of him the Paladins inside could see the other end of the Altean ship.
"What happened?" Elsa asked as her sight returned from the glow.
"We must have crossed through because that's the front of the ship." Pidge said over the coms in the Blue Lion.
However when Allura turned her back she could see that something was amiss. "Wait." She pulled on the right control stick turning Voltron around.
"The back half of this ship, it's gone!" Allura said in surprised and she was right the back half of the ship was nowhere to be seen and that wasn't all there was a planet in their view and there was no sign of the Castle of lions like it had just disappeared.
"Coran! Coran!" Allura tried on the comms "we've lost sight of the Castle. Coran are you there?" But there was no response.
"Where did he go?" Kieth asked in surprise.
"And where did that planet come from?" Lance said.
"Yeah that wasn't there before." Said a voice from next to Kieth.
"No I.." Kieth suddenly realised someone was in the cockpit with him and he turned to see Olaf wearing Lances spare helmet.
"Olaf!?" Kieth said in surprise.
"Oh hi Kieth." The little snowman said smiling.
"What are you doing here how'd you even get in here!" Kieth asked in a rather angry tone.
"I hopped aboard before you guys left. I wanted to help." Olaf explained.
"Olaf it's too dangerous for you here." Elsa then said on the coms.
"Yeah that's why I'm here to help you I mean I don't want to lose you like Anna." He then said in a rather sad tone. Elsa seemed rather touched that Olaf wanted to help her just as he did for Anna during the eternal winter.
"Olaf I'm not letting." Kieth said but Olaf just looked with puppy dog eyes.
"Please I want to help you guys." Olaf pleaded.
"We might as well Kieth I mean we can't send him back now?" Lance then said on the coms. Kieth just cringed at this but realised they were right.
"Okay, but you do what we say when we say it GOT IT!" Kieth said.
"Yay!" cheered the little snowman and was about to hug Kieth.
"No hugs!" He then said with his hand out much to Olaf's depression.
In the Green lion Pidge looked her navigation and learned something strange. "According to my sensors, we're still in the exact same place we were before." Pidge explains in complete surprise.
"But we can't be?" Elsa said. "There wasn't a planet there before it was just loads of rocks."
"They're called asteroids Elsa." Pidge added.
Just then Hunks scans revealed something that they weren't prepared for. "Guys, this is going to sound strange, but now I'm detecting multiple biorhythms aboard the ship." He said.
Elsa knew what this could potentially mean as did Allura who looked with hope in her eyes "Alteans." She breathed.
"Well, it seems like we've only got one clue to help us figure out what's going on." Lance said from the Red Lion "and it's floating right over there." Voltron looked towards the front half of the Altean ship and everyone realised there was only one way to find out what was going on and that was to board the ship.
Voltron dispensed back into lions and they landed on the haul of the ship. Allura being an Altean was able to open a hatch on the ship giving them a way in and each of the Paladins boarded one by one and with the artificial gravity offline they were floating in a cold dark corridor of the ship. Olaf stayed close to Elsa as they boarded as he was a little scared and he wasn't the only one.
Allura then shined her torch on the right wrist of her gauntlet lighting the way. "Hello? Is anyone here?" Her voice echoed through the corridor and the Paladins, Ice Queen and snowman flew forward using their jet packs.
"Olaf stay close to me." Elsa said.
"Okay." Olaf said floating close but couldn't help but enjoy floating in zero gravity, however everyone did wonder why he was even wearing an air helmet as he didn't have any lungs so he couldn't suffocate, but they soon realised he didn't want to feel left out and so continued to explore the ship.
The ship creaked and groaned as the Paladins and their friends moved forwards. In the ceiling it seemed like something was watching them heavy breathing was heard in a ceiling vent. Elsa shines a light to the ceiling and the breathing seemed to stop as if something had moved. Elsa couldn't help but feel a little uneasy about being on an abandoned ship not knowing what was onboard. It was a miracle she hadn't frozen anything yet.
Suddenly a door then opens to another corridor slightly startling everyone. "Oh man this place is totally freaking me out." Hunk said a little scared. "Does it feel like a haunted ghost ship to anyone else? Is it just me?" Hunk then said but everyone just chose to ignore it as there was no such thing as ghosts.
"It's okay Hunk it's not haunted, Anna and I once thought our castle was haunted when we were kids, but it was just our minds playing tricks on us." Elsa assured to which Hunk did calm him down a bit.
Soon they arrived at what appeared to be a control room and Allura had found a console with a large screen. She placed her hand on the console and reactivated the power to the ship and the artificial gravity so they would stay on the ground.
"Aw no more floating." Olaf said sadly.
Everyone else was a little concerned about the ship and it's state there was no sign of life at all nothing but old parts and crates. "It looks deserted." Elsa saw.
"So, did the crew abandon ship?" Kieth wondered. Lance then noticed a space suit lying near the control console which was similar to Alluras flight suit in the castle but had blue symbols and more bulk. Lance reached to get the helmet off the suit Olaf looked at the suit too with curiosity.
"I don't know, but they couldn't have gotten far without their spacesu..." once Lance took the helmet of it was not empty but had the decaying corpse of an Altean inside with an eye glass and some hair on its skull. Lance screamed in terror as did the small snowman.
"AHHHHH!" They screamed "THOSE AREN'T EMPTY!" He said leaping back as he dropped the helmet and Olaf clung to the blue clad paladin in fright.
Allura had a mixed look of sadness and potential disappointment while Kieth and Elsa looked at her and both thought what she might be thinking. Never the less she turned her attention to the computer console and activated its screen which showed a recording left by Commodore Trayling he was an Altean with tanned skin grey hair with a white streak on the left side and a beard. He wore an eyeglass near his right eye.
"We located the second comet based on King Alfor's information." Trayling explained and the footage was full of static given it was nearly ten thousand years old. "We managed to get it aboard but it seems to be causing massive disturbances, we are heading back to Altea." Trayling continued. "But I don't know if we'll be able to make it that far, at this rate…"
Suddenly a large light engulfed the entire room and the Commodore cried in horror which then cut the transmission, this was how he met his end. Allura had a mild expression of sadness as Elsa could only look in horror holding her hand on her mouth.
"Oh my god." She breathed.
"What happened here?" Said a rather surprised Hunk. Lance just looked at the remains of the former Commodore and could only guess what happened to him.
"Something deadly." He then said in a serious tone. However among all the questions that were rolling in the Paladins heads only one came to the Arendellian queens mind.
"This doesn't make any sense." She voiced. "theres absolutely nothing on this ship, how could it send out a distress call, or even survive after so many years?"
"Its likely they lost power when they got whatever they came for" Kieth theorised. "there wasn't any sign of exterior damage so I don't think they were attacked."
"But still if this ships been here for ten thousand years, how could it even send out a signal that can last for that long." Elsa then questioned.
"Elsa's right." Hunk agrees as he activates the scanner on his gauntlet which was showing there was more going on. "This still doesn't explain the bio rhythms I've picked up in this area."
Suddenly a vent entrance in the rear of the room crashed open and three figures drop from it each wearing grey and black suits with green markings on their helmets two of them were armed with guns whilst the other had no weapon. One figure was a muscular build whilst the second figure had eight arms looked a little like a snake with a long curved tail. The third figure was a female looked to the Paladins and their allies with hostile intent.
"Look out!" Lance shouted.
He formed his Bayard blaster and started shooting the three hostiles before the snake one could fire his blaster Hunk tackled him to the ground using his jet pack. The second hostile turned his rifle to shoot the blue clad Paladin. However his rifle was sliced in half by Kieth's sword with one quick motion and his reflection could be seen in his opponents visor as he slashed his sword at him knocking him back.
The third hostile ran towards Allura and Pidge who formed their Bayards and attacked with their chain and grappling hostile avoided their attacks and then to their surprise as she flung her hands forwards a blast of fire emerged from her hand. They were completely surprised as they moved to the side to avoid the blast. Allura was startled but her thoughts were pushed aside when the female hostile was ready to blast her again with a blast of fire.
However before it made its mark a wall of ice emerged from the floor which protected Allura from the blast the hostile turned to see Elsa standing to the side with her hand up surging with ice magic.
"If you want to fight someone fight me!' Elsa exclaimed.
The hostile looked at the woman in surprise but none the less fired a blast of fire towards Elsa who jumped out the way and fired a blast of ice from her hand just scratching the assailants helmet.
Meanwhile Kieth was still fighting the second hostile who just managed to kick him away then acting quickly tossed what was left of his blaster at an incoming Lance like a frisbee which hit him in the face knocking him back leaving him venerable. The hostile ran towards him then leaped into the air and formed a green energy blade from his left hand and was about to impale Lance with it.
Just then Pidge quickly fired her grappling hook at the hostile which hit him in the face and cracked his helmet shattering the left side exposing some of his face and knocking him to the ground.
Whilst fighting Elsa the third hostile saw what had happened. "SVEN!" She said and Elsa just froze because even under a helmet she recognised the voice.
The third hostile rushed over to 'Sven' and helped him up and as he stood up the rest of his visor broke away to reveal the rest of his face which much to the Paladins and Elsa's surprise was a face they recognised all too well.
It was Shiro, only he didn't have a scar on his face and he had more hair but no white forelock. Hunk was just barley able to restrain the snake like assailant who was able to use his tail to whack him in the back and break free to roll over to his comrades. Hunk had just lost his balance and fell to the ground on his butt.
The snake hostile landed next to his comrades and his visor brightened to reveal his face, he had large white eyes a yellow curved nose a white curve under his nose and round ears and some traces of hair on his head. The third assailant then removed her helmet and this was the greatest surprise of all, it was Anna, however she had shorter hair and a slight cut under her right eye. Elsa was more than shocked as she gasped in surprise to see two people she loved standing right in front of her.
"Shiro, Anna!" She breathed.
"Anna your okay!" Olaf said in joy but Elsa stopped him from getting close to her.
"No way." Hunk said in surprise.
"How…" Kieth said
"Stay back!" 'Shiro' said in a rather weird accent.
"If you've come for the comet you'll never get it!" Warned the snake assailant. "I'll die before I let it fall into Altean hands!" he then added which put a look shock on Allura's face not that she wasn't already.
Kieth lowered his sword which turned back into his Black Bayard to show he meant no harm. "Shiro, please." He pleaded.
"My name is not Shiro." Sven said.
"Anna, is is that you?" Elsa said getting her 'sisters' attention "i.. its me Elsa" She continued while trying to hold back the tears.
"Why do you look like her?" Anna then questioned.
"I'm your sister Anna." Elsa reminded whilst a little confused.
"My sisters dead! You can't be her!" Anna continued which surprised Elsa even more but it felt like her heart was breaking. "This has to be some kind of Altean trick!"
"What the heck is happening right now?" Hunk said just plain confused. "Did everyone get amnesia and wake up with weird accents and fire powers?"
"You know us?" Asked the snake assailant.
"Of course we do, you're Shiro, our leader Paladin of the Black Lion, you're Princess Anna of Arendelle, and you're Slav I rescued you from a space prison your also slightly crazy!" Lance explained as he did however Pidge was starting to wonder how the people before them didn't remember ever meeting them and suddenly a picture was starting to form.
"I maybe crazy, but you've never rescued me from anything before!" Slav said.
"And I'm no Princess I'm the Queen of Arendelle!" Anna then added. "How can you not know this?"
Just then Slav realised something. "Unless…" "Your from an alternate reality!" "This is an alternate reality!" Pidge and Slav then realised.
"Uh what's that now?" Hunk asked.
"I think when we went through that glowing exploding area we entered an alternate reality!" Pidge explained.
"Pidge what are you talking about?" Elsa said.
"Well, Elsa you know how Arendelle is an alternate dimension to ours." Pidge explained to which Elsa nodded. "Well there are other alternate dimensions or realities too, its long theorised there are alternate realities with their own history their own existence like for example a world where Voltron was never created or a world where you and Anna were never separated. And it seems in this reality Anna is the one with powers." Pidge explained.
"Oh, so it's like our world but a little different." Olaf asked.
"Yeah that's pretty much it." Pidge then said.
"Yeah Slav kept going on about them." Lance then added as he aimed his blaster. "Not you, well you yeah but a different you." Lance then looked to the alternate Slav. "One who talks about alternate realities a lot."
"Oh that's him." Sven said sarcastically.
"Yep never shuts up about them." Alternate Anna agreed resulting in alternate Slave glaring at them both. Alternate Anna then looked to Elsa.
"So your from an alternate reality?" she asked.
"Yes, but why are you here Anna? If you're the Queen why aren't you in Arendelle?" Elsa then asked.
Alternate Anna just closed her eyes trying to hold back her sadness something that Elsa and Allura noticed. "Arendelle's gone." She eventually said which brought a look of horror on the Paladins and Elsa's face.
"What…h…how did it.." Elsa said trying to form words.
"Arendelle was taken from us during the insurrection, you tried to stop them but… you were cut down right in front of me." Alternate Anna finally said this caused Elsa to look in horror to know she had been killed right in front of her sister.
"I would've been next if Chancellor Hans hadn't got me out of the castle before he was killed too." Alternate Anna continued much to the surprise of everyone else. They couldn't believe that Hans of all people helped Anna escape her fate.
"Wait, so Hans risked his life to save Anna?" Lance said to himself still a little unconvinced. "I want to believe it?"
"After that the Guns of Gamara found me and so I joined them, and we left Earth." Anna then said gesturing to her comrades.
"Hold on so here Arendelle is on the same earth as theirs?" Hunk asked.
To which Anna nodded. Elsa wasn't sure what to make of all of this her home destroyed someone who tried to kill her and her sister actually saved her sister.
"Why did you attack the captain and his crew?" Allura then demanded.
"Stay back Altean!" Sven warned.
"We found the ship this way but I can't say I'm sorry their gone." Slav then explained.
"What why? I thought Alteans were good?" Olaf said confused.
However before Slav could say anything his upper left arm gauntlet beeped and he opened a holo console showing what looked like a space ship in the shape of a wheel docking with the Altean ship.
"Oh no more Alteans!" Slav said alarmed.
"Wait, more Alteans!?" Allura said in surprise.
"Their scanners must have picked up your arrival!" Slav said as he clicks some buttons and seals the doors. "Sven, Anna lets go!" He then ordered as he gave Sven a boost up to the vent and he climbed into it soon followed by Slav.
"If I were you I'd run!" He then warned before Alternate Anna left she took one last look at her 'sister' then was pulled into the vent by her comrades leaving the Paladins and their allies completely alone.
"What the heck just happened?" Lance said confused.
"I don't know?" Olaf said shrugging.
"Did he say we're being boarded by Alteans?" Allura then said and they soon heard loud banging noises coming from the sealed door.
The noises got louder and louder and the Paladins looked to the door and readied their Bayards whilst Elsa readied her powers. "Olaf get behind me." She told the little snowman and he hid behind her legs.
There was an eire silence at the door then suddenly it opened to reveal a small platoon of robots with one blue eye in the middle of its head and traces of yellow on its armoured limbs each armed with laser rifles and accompanying them was an altean with white short hair and glasses wearing white and blue armour and he was accompanied by a brute like person wearing a white and blue suit bearing a mild expression on his face. The Paladins were surrounded by the Altean sentries.
Approaching them was their leader she was a female Altean wearing white and blue armour similar to the Paladins only she had a blue and dark blue under suit and white armoured boots. On her face was bright blue Altean marks and she had bright pink hair. She looked to the armoured strangers.
"Put down your weapons." She ordered. Allura could only gasp with joy she was seeing one of her own kind standing before her.
"Alteans!" She gasped as the other Paladins looked surprised and Elsa rather awestruck too.
"It can't be." the Female Altean said in shock as she gazed eyes on the pink clad paladin but then kneeling before her.
"Empress." She said as her troops kneeled before her as well.
"Uh I'm confused what is going on?" Hunk asked.
"I think they think Allura is their empress?"Olaf then said and Elsa noticed a small trace of tears in Allura's eyes who deep down knew that her people were alive somehow.
"Are you, Empress Allura?" The Altean asked.
"I'm Princess Allura." Allura answered. "Please stand." She requested and so the Altean and her troops complied.
"I am Commander Hira Empress," Hira introduced. "How can you be here? You put down the Galra Uprising and established the Altean Empire ten thousand years ago?" This told Allura that in this reality she was long since dead.
"Where we're from, all the Altean's were wiped out by Zarkon when he destroyed your planet." Kieth then explained leaving Hira with a look of shock on her face whilst her companion was rather curious especially by what was said.
"Where did you come from?" He asked.
"Its sort of a long story." Elsa explained.
"Hi Alteans I'm Olaf and I like warm hugs!" The small snowman introduced which was more than a surprise to the Alteans.
"How fascinating a creature made of snow?" The Altean scientist said.
"Like I said it's a rather long story." Elsa again explained but couldn't help but notice the way Hira looked at her like she had seen a ghost.
Back in the Paladins Reality:
In a distant corner of space, Lotor's command ship flew silently and on the bridge the Galra prince and his generals were monitoring a certain rift from a distance.
"Amazing." Axca breathed in amazement. "Your theory about Voltron was finally proven correct."
"I was personally hoping to see some more fireworks when it hit that energy swirl." Zethrid then said. "I guess all the previous attempts to get it out were just more enjoyable to watch, for me not for your pilots."
Lotor sits in his command chair monitoring the situation and energy readings.
"Voltron made it through because he is made of the same material as that comet that King Alfor tried to hide from my father." Lotor said looking at the readings. "Now let's see if the new Paladins bring it back out to us."
"But what if Voltron isn't able to escape the other dimension?" Ezor questions. "Its another reality Ezor." Axca said correcting her.
"Gah what if they aren't able to escape the other, 'reality'?" Ezor said rather dryly.
"If Voltron disappears from our world forever then we win." Lotor explained. "If they make it out with the comet we'll take it from them it's a win either way."
However unbeknownst to Lotor, his ship was being watched from a distance by something that was following them. Something rather large, too large to be a ship.
Mirrorverse:
Meanwhile in the Altean ships cargo hold stood a large comet about the size of Voltron it had cracks that were emanating turquoise green energy. The Green Lion was in the cargo hold flying round the comet and inside Pidge was taking energy readings.
"This is the comet Commodore Trayling Must've been talking about in his transmission." Pidge observed from the cockpit. "It seems to be caught between two realities just like the ship."
From an observation deck the Altean scientist who was with Hira watches with his bulky companion. "Could you obtain a sample for us with your lion?" He asked.
"I can try." Pidge said on the coms. The Green Lion landed on the comet.
Meanwhile Olaf was looking at the bulky alien being. "Hi there, I'm Olaf and I like warm hugs." He introduced.
However he got no response, he still had his arms open and then moved to kick him but sadly there was no response. Olaf just looked and saw the brute only had one mutual expression like he doesn't even know he's there. This told Olaf that something wasn't right how can someone not react to him.
Later Pidge had brought back a sample of the comet that was now in a scanner being analysed and in doing, the analysis she noticed something amazing.
"Amazing." She breathed as Lance and Olaf took a closer look at the comet sample.
"Wow, it's so pretty, what is it?" The small snowman asked and soon Pidge had an answer.
"Its Voltron." she said.
"WHAT!" Lance said in complete shock.
"But it doesn't look like Voltron?" Olaf said rather confused.
Pidge was now looking at an analysis diagram of both the comet and Voltron. "I mean its not Voltron obviously, but the readings from this comet are the same ones Zarkon was searching for the ones that lead us to the Blue Lion." Pidge explained.
"Thats how you were able to pass through to this reality, your vehicle was made from the same trans-reality material." The Altean scientist explained.
"You mean this is the same material Allura's dad used to make the lions from the story Coran told us about?" Olaf asked.
"Yeah I think it is little guy." Hunk said as they looked at the comet.
The comet sample had gotten the interest of the Altean scientist greatly. "With this material, Altea can create its own trans-reality traveling ships." He said amazed. "We can spread our peace and stability, to other realities."
"You mean build your own Voltron?" Olaf asked.
"Well in essence yes." The scientist explained. "I hope you don't mind my asking little one, but how is it that you came to be? You seem to be comprised of solidified hydrogen and oxygen?" He said scanning the small snowman.
"Oh, I have no idea what you just said, but Elsa made me she was made Queen of her Kingdom Arendelle but then when Anna said she was going to marry this guy named Hans who turned out to be a massive jerk, but she accidentally revealed her powers to the people and she ran away and in climbing the mountain she made me with her powers." Olaf explained.
"Okay seriously how does he remember all that?" Lance whispered to Hunk who just shrugged.
"So this Queen Elsa has a special power, Altea may have a use for this." The scientist said and then opened a communication line to his commander.
"General Hira, I have just stumbled across something in this ships hold that'll ensure Altea's rule for millennia to come." The Altean scientist explained, "In addition it seems the woman accompanying Empress Allura and her companions has a special power that could aid the empire greatly."
Pidge listened to what the scientist said and couldn't help but look a little unsure Altea's rule what does that mean? Olaf looked a little unsure too.
Meanwhile on the bridge of the ship Hira was talking to Allura, Elsa and Kieth about the history of this alternate reality.
"So the Alteans of this reality, defeated the Galra?" Allura asked.
"Lead by you my Empress, without your will to fight and avenge the loss of your father Altea wouldn't have been able to spread peace and stability throughout the universe." Hira explained.
"So there's no Voltron in this reality?" Elsa asked.
"No, thanks to the spirit of Empress Allura, we had no need to develop or engineer a weapon of that calibur." Hira answered.
However Elsa, whilst a little surprised couldn't help but think about Anna's dimensional counter part and about how Arendelle was destroyed.
Outside on the haul of the Altean ship Anna and her companions Sven and Slav were attaching rectangular bomb like devices and Sven typed on the green keyboard arming them.
"Thats the last of them." Sven said as he Alt Anna and Slav looked over it.
"Do you think this plan will work?" He then asked Slav.
"Don't worry" Slav assured as he made calculations on his holo console from his suit and his other hands and fingers. "I'm 60 percent sure this is one of the point one five percent of realities where this plan works one hundred percent of the time." Slav said.
"Well that's, reassuring." Alt Anna said a little unconvinced.
"Do you think the people from the other reality will join the Alteans?" Sven wondered.
"If they're really my friends from another reality there's a seventy two percent chance they'll figure out what's right." Slav said assuringly.
"He maybe right Sven, and if that woman is my sister from an alternate reality she'll know it in her heart." Alt Anna agreed but looked a little down and saddened.
"Whats wrong?" Sven asked.
"Do.. do you think there's an Arendelle where she's from?" Alt Anna asked.
"I believe there is and one where Elsa's alive and is the leader she was meant to be." Sven said. Which did put a smile on her face.
"Well she certainly seemed to have eyes for you." Alt Anna said. This did result in a slight blush from Sven who just looked away slightly whilst Slav just snickered.
Back on the ship Hira was explaining what happened after the Alt Alteans defeated the Galra.
"Defeating Zarkon was the first step, but we refused to give up until all worlds know the true peace that Altea has achieved." Hira explained.
"Thats sounds wonderful." Allura said rather joyfully.
Meanwhile in the cargo hold the Altean scientist was telling Lance, Hunk, Pidge and Olaf a similar story of how Altea's peace movement has changed the lives of so many in the universe.
"No struggle, no wars that doesn't even sound possible?" Hunk Questioned.
"Is it not?" The Altean scientist said. "Look at Moxulus, for generations his people have been in constant battle with the other planets in his system it was a barbaric and futile existence." He said gesturing to his muscular companion.
"And look at him now." The three Paladins and the snowman just looked at him and saw his mutual expression but didn't say a word it was a little creepy.
"So what changed?" Lance asked.
"Yeah what made him stop fighting?" Olaf added.
"The Hocktril." The Altean scientists gestured for Moxulus to turn around and he reveals on the back of his head a small device with two plugged prongs sticking out of it.
"Our civilisations most advanced technological achievement." He then explained.
"What does that do?" Lance asked.
"It saps the fighting force from our enemies, their will you might say." The scientist explained much to the three Paladins shock.
"Uh what's will?" Olaf asked.
"Its what allows us to be free and think with our own minds Olaf it's like how your able to think freely." Pidge explained.
Olaf then looked rather saddened. "And that thing takes it away?" He said rather saddened.
Back on the Bridge Hira continued to explain to Kieth, Allura and Elsa how their peace movement has brought peace and tranquility to other races.
"Advancements have been made, citizens that might have been casualties of war in Empress Allura's day, can now be rehabilitated entire races that warred for millennia can now know peace and help us to further our new world." Hira explained.
"So they become a part of the Altean peace movement?" Allura said.
"You mean, slave labour?" Hunk questioned.
"Oh no no, they're not slaves because they don't have will." The Altean scientist explained with a chuckle.
"Slaves are, always trying escape or revolt, the non cogs are contempt doing what they're told." He snapped his fingers which commanded Moxulus turn round to face the Paladins.
"Preservation of life is the Altean Empires highest priority." The scientist said then looking at the comet sample and the light glistened in his glasses.
"And with this material we can do more than we ever thought possible." He said smiling rather sinisterly.
The Bridge:
"But your taking away their free will?" Kieth questioned not liking the idea of races losing their free will just to ensure peace.
"The same will that would end your life with no remorse." Hira said.
"I'm sorry but how is taking the free will of others ensuring a peaceful existence?" Elsa questioned not liking this at all.
"From what I've seen from my time with the Paladins not all advanced civilisations are as bad as the Galra, in fact most of them have such potential." She then added remembering her meeting with Ryner and hearing the Paladins stories.
"Thats just it, potential, imagine if another civilisation got it into their heads with their potential they could take what they want and eventually reign in a new war across the universe." Hira then disagreed with Elsa's thoughts.
"Thanks to us, no innocent will lose its life to the free will of an evil being." She then said.
"But at what cost? Loosing the will to be free I mean there's no peace without freedom?" Elsa then disagreed.
"And what would you know of such matters." Hira challenged.
"Because I'm the Queen of my own country and yes like you said there are those out there who may have different thoughts on how to use the power they have and those who just get passed aside being last in line but wanting more. But we certainly don't settle that by taking the free will of others all that does is cause more conflict." Elsa explained.
"That may be well for your kingdom your majesty but, not in this instance, we bring peace and make many civilisations part of something better something they don't have to fear." Hira said with a slight glare.
"Sounds more like slavery to me." Elsa then said. Hira just ignored this then turned to Allura.
"Empress Allura, let me show you something." Hira then pressed a button on her gauntlet and it displayed a holo map of Altea.
"This is our Altea." Hira said, and Allura had a look of shock in her eyes as she couldn't believe that in this reality Altea still exists and how far it has come.
"Come with me, allow me to show you the magnificence it has achieved." Hira offered however Kieth had a look of concern he knew what this meant to Allura but something didn't sit right with him about all this. And he wasn't the only one.
"Kieth." Elsa whispered and she gestured to talk at the far end of the room. They move away from Hira's ear shot but she couldn't help but notice them talking.
"I understand these are Allura's people, but something about this doesn't seem right with me, taking the free will of others that sounds like something Zarkon would do and that's saying something." Elsa said to the red clad Paladin.
"I agree, something's off about Hira and this peace movement of hers," Kieth agreed. "and I know that learning about the Alteans of this reality means a lot to Allura and her hearts in the right place, but sometimes she can be a little too naive for her own good."
"Your right, I think of Allura like a sister but, I think she's letting her grief about losing her family and people cloud her judgement." Elsa agreed. Which left them to figure out what to do next.
Meanwhile in the hallway of the ship Lance, Hunk, Pidge and Olaf were talking amongst themselves far from the Altean Scientist and Moxulus, since they too didn't like what they heard from them.
"Is anyone else getting a strange vibe from these guys?" Lance asked his comrades.
"Yep there's defiantly something off about these Alteans." Hunk agreed. "I mean is it me or did they pretty much scramble the big dudes brain?"
"Yeah I tried to offer him a hug, but it's like he didn't even know I was there?" Olaf said. "I mean who doesn't want a warm hug!?" The three Paladins looked at Olaf a little strangely but then again how could he think of anything else.
"Okay, but still I know I wouldn't want my will sucked out like that." Lance said.
"Yeah I mean I thought Alteans were good?" Olaf questioned.
"Yeah in our reality Olaf as I said this reality has its own history and its own version of the Alteans who apparently think having will is bad." Pidge explained to the small snowman.
Just then something metal slammed on the floor surprising them and Olaf just clung to Hunks leg in fright. "Yo ho up here!" Called a voice and they looked up to see Sven, Slav and Alt Anna in an open vent.
"Oh Hi Sven, hi Slav, hi Anna." Olaf said with a smile and a wave.
"Hi little guy." Alt Anna said.
"Whoa, how'd you find us?" Lance asked in amazement.
" I figured there was a high probability…" "Slav, I don't think they're interested in the numbers." Alt Anna said much to Slavs irk.
"I'm liking this Anna more and more, if only Kristof could see this." Lance whispered to Hunk who agreed.
"We've gotta get to Kieth, Allura and Elsa, and figure out a way to stop the Alteans from getting that comet." Pidge suggested.
"Already on it," Slav said " we just need to do one more thing and you guys can help."
"We'll have to act fast, I'm not losing Elsa to this all over again." Alt Anna said. Pidge picked up on that and soon realised something.
"Wait you mean…." Just then they all heard the noise of laser blasters being powered up and everyone turned to see the Altean Scientist and several sentry robots arming their blasters and pointing them at the three Paladins. Olaf hid behind Hunk in fright.
"Perfect." Slav said sarcastically.
"I had a feeling the Guns of Gamara were on this ship" The scientist said angered. "but I didn't know Empress Allura's friends would be working with them."
Back on the bridge:
Allura was completely awestruck by the idea of returning to her home planet and seeing her civilisation live no longer in fear of Zarkon. However Kieth and Elsa were still unsure about this. From what Hira described this didn't sound like a way of peace more like an act of slavery.
"Returning to Altea."Allura said rather happy. " It seemed like such an impossible dream, I could never allow the thought." Hira had a smile on her face knowing that Allura was all on board with this.
"Allura." Kieth said. " This might not be the Altea you remember."
"Your right," Hira said with some contempt in her voice "This Altea is home to a people who made sure the Galra scourge was unable to spread across the universe as it did in your reality."
"How can you say that! Alfor and his comrades practically sacrificed themselves to make sure the Galra didn't get a weapon that could allow them to kill anyone who got in there way!" Elsa said in some contempt.
"Allura listen I know these are your people but how can we be sure this is what's best for the universe." She then asked the Altean Princess.
"Empress I assure you, we will do all within our power to help." Hira then expressed. "The comet in this ships hold possesses the ability to travel between realities, if you will activate this ancient ships power we can fly forward and remove the comet from the tear, we can use it to travel to your universe and bring peace there even to the Galra."
Allura couldn't help but smile at the thought of bringing peace to the universe and a potential opportunity to bring an end to the war forever. So without giving it a second thought she moved under the ships crystal power source. Elsa and Kieth couldn't believe this, it was clear Allura was letting her emotions cloud her judgement.
"Maybe you should think about this Allura," Kieth spoke up. "it wasn't that long ago we thought all Galra were bad, maybe things aren't as black and white as she's making them out to be."
Hira just looked with a raised eyebrow and it was clear she was hiding something from the Paladins.
"Kieth these are my people, and they maybe the strongest allies we have in this war." Allura insisted.
"Are they your people though?" Elsa questioned. "Allura I know you want to have the life before Zarkon back but I don't think this is the answer and is this what your father would want?"
Allura took in Elsa's words but it seems nothing would sway her from what she was going to do. "Elsa this could be our one chance to end this war forever and they may even help to find your sister and restore Arendelle." Allura said.
So she stood under the crystal and focused all her energy and the crystal and the ships systems surged into life. Outside the ship the thrusters began to fire and slowly inch by inch the ship began to move from the tear. In the hold the comet began to react to being removed from the tear.
Paladins universe
Back in the Castle of Lions the Space Mice and Flurry sat on the console whilst Coran was typing away on the console running different scans. Sven (the reindeer) was pacing back and fourth in worry.
"I've tried every scan and test I can think of there's no sign of Voltron anywhere!" Coran said rather worried.
The mice were worried too the biggest of the mice held the smallest in a consoling hug while the other two looked worried as did Flurry who squeaked in worry.
"How could I have stopped her, you know how she is?!" Coran said to the mice. "Not to mention Olaf is missing and probably with them."
The mice just squeaked in argument with him. "I can't understand a word your saying but I'll take that as some sort of insult." Coran said with a raised eyebrow then turned to Sven who was pulling a face that said "Oh Really?"
"Oh and don't you start Sven." Coran said. Suddenly their attention was then drawn to the rift and they saw it glow and somehow the ship was moving. Then as the ship disappeared into the rift it then sealed behind it.
"Not good." Coran said.
"Oh Quisnak." Sven said (Coran impersonating him).
Mirror-verse:
In the Altean ship the light from the crystal faded as Allura stepped away from the controls. Hira could only smile with pride.
"You've done it Allura, soon we'll use the comet to spread peace throughout every reality." Hira said. Footsteps were then heard coming into the room and the group present turned to see the other Paladins, the Guns of Gamara and Olaf restrained by the Altean sentries.
"What is going on?" Allura asked in surprise.
"Olaf guys!" Elsa said in shocked surprise.
"Empress, The Guns of Gamara have infiltrated this ship, these people were working with them." The Altean Scientist accused.
"Let our friends go!" Kieth demanded.
"Release them and my sister now!" Elsa then demanded and the sound of the word 'sister' did put a slight smile on Alt Anna's face.
"Hira, you and the rest of Altea have turned this universe into an army of slaves! Peace at the sake of freedom!" Slav said with a glare.
"Slaves?" Allura said rather surprised. "Is this true?"
"Non cogs are not slaves your the ones who spread chaos and destruction!" The Altean scientist denied.
"The only one spreading chaos and destruction is you!" Anna exclaimed. "When you first came to Arendelle, my sister and I offered you the hand of friendship, but when we didn't accept the terms of your 'peace' you destroyed my home!"
Elsa was just horrified by this revelation, how the Alteans of this reality had not only visited Arendelle of this reality but wiped it out when they didn't comply with their peace movement.
"Hira!" Anna then exclaimed. "You killed my sister, husband, family and thousands of others, you took everything from me! All in the name of peace!"
"ENOUGH!" The Altean Scientist exclaimed "We're going to scan that little brain of yours and get every last rebel location! Finally our wars can end."
"Allura we can't let this happen!" Kieth urged.
"Hira please, we both want the same thing, peace." Allura tried reasoning with Hira, but to no evail.
"Do we?" Hira questioned. "Your weakness has brought nothing but pain and suffering to your people at the hands of the Galra. We have brought peace and order to ours, and with this comet we will bring our peace to every reality."
"Your no Empress of mine." Hira said in defiance.
"And your no Altean!" Allura said in contempt.
"Yes, you speak of peace but look around you, this isn't peace its just about control and power!" Elsa agreed with a glare of contempt. "And your willing to eliminate and enslave anyone who gets in your way if anything you've become no better than Zarkon!"
With that Allura formed her Bayard weapon whilst Elsa's hands surged with ice Altean sentries armed their blasters at Allura and Elsa as Kieth forms his Bayard sword. In all the glaring and gun points all Slav could do is laugh.
"Why are you laughing?" Lance asked.
"Because this is the reality where everything works out fine!" Slav said happily.
Then suddenly as if on cue something shook the ship and on the haul the bombs that were planted earlier by the Guns of Gamara went off destroying the ships capability to move.
"Just in time!" Slav said. Kieth takes advantage of the chaos and throws his sword into one of the sentry robots right in the chest.
"DOG PILE!" Sven exclaimed and the restrained Paladins and their allies piled onto the other sentry
"Yay dog pile!" Olaf cheered.
Alt Anna used her powers to melt the cuffs off her hands and broke free sending a wave of fire across the bridge but Hira shielded her self from the blast as it knocked the scientist off his feet when Kieth tackled him. Allura extended her Bayard chain and swung it at Hira who was quick to form an energy blade from her left gauntlet as the chain wrapped round it.
Hira pulls out a laser pistol and fires it at Allura who moves quickly to avoid it, Elsa fires a blast of ice at Hira freezing her laser pistol. Allura uses this distraction to pull her chain back and Hira with it and slamming her into the wall. Elsa acts quickly and uses her powers to freeze Hira to the wall so she couldn't get up.
Anna then came up to Hira with a glare of contempt and her right fist was ignited in fire.
"This is for my sister, my family and Arendelle!" Alt Anna exclaimed however Elsa puts a hand on her wrist to stop her.
"Anna no!" Elsa said. "She's not worth it, this won't bring your Arendelle back."
"No she has to pay!" Alt Anna exclaimed with some tears present.
"Anna, is this what your Elsa would want?" Elsa asked and Alt Anna looked into her eyes and she looked as if she was looking at her sister again. Eventually she lowers her fist and the fire dies down. Elsa nods in approval and Alt Anna, tears still present gave a smile.
"Lets go!" Allura exclaimed.
Soon the Paladins and their allies were running down the hallways Kieth, Hunk and Lance were armed with their Bayards whilst Pidge carried Olaf on her back followed by the Guns, Allura and they ran down the hallway a squad of sentries emerged from the hallway ahead of them and started shooting their blasters at them.
Kieth formed his energy shield from his gauntlet as did Pidge and Allura. whilst Lance and Hunk fired back destroying a couple of sentries.
"Pidge which way to the lions?" Kieth asked.
"To the left!" Pidge relayed to her team leader. Elsa moved forward and fired spikes of ice from her hands which impaled two sentries and Lance was able to hit two with his blaster.
However what they didn't see was the sentries coming in from the left but when they turned round a sentry fired its blaster and Elsa was too slow to react but before the blast hit….
Sven managed to push her out of the way and took the blast hitting his chest he groaned in pain as the shot hit him burning some of his armour, he crashed to the ground and was unconscious.
"NO!" Elsa cried as she and Lance hurried to pull him out of the line of fire whilst Kieth, and Allura deflected the incoming fire with their shields. Hunk used his cannon to shoot the sentries and destroys the arms and legs of the one at the front.
"Sven!" Lance exclaimed "Are you okay?"
"You saved my life" Elsa said as Slav looks at his wound.
"'groan' I'll be fine pretty lady, just get me to space hospital." Sven groaned just managing to crack and smile. Elsa could only give a warm smile of her own, it seems if there's one constant in any reality is that Shiro will jump to the aid of anyone in need no matter the risk.
The sentries however refused to haunt their assault as they continuously bombard the Paladins shields with laser fire.
"They're blocking our way to the lions!" Kieth growled. Elsa stood up from the floor and faced the sentries.
"Kieth you and the others get back you don't want to be anywhere near here for what I'm about to do!" Elsa said to the red clad paladin and he looked in her eyes knowing what she was planning to do as he nodded and signalled his fellow Paladins to fall back behind the wall which they did.
Despite the laser fire Elsa concentrated and her ice magic began to surge from her hands and the hallway began to freeze around her. Just then next to her she saw a growing glow and she saw Alt Anna readying her fire magic as she'd gotten the same idea.
"Together?" Alt Anna said.
"Together." Elsa said and so the two readied their powers and then held hands and blasted at the sentries creating a tornado of fire and ice which engulfs them all.
"Guys it's safe." Elsa called and the Paladins, Slav and Olaf come out from behind the wall and see something amazing. The sentries were all encased in ice and melted to the ground leaving remaining body parts as molten metal on the ground. They then saw Elsa and Alt Anna were smiling smugly with their hands on their hips.
"Whoa whoever said fire and ice don't mix?" Lance smirked. To which the two their joy was short lived when more sentries appeared firing their blasters.
"How long is this going to go on?" Olaf exclaims.
"Hang on!" Slav exclaimed and jumps out into the hallway rolls along the ground rolling his long body into a ball, narrowly avoiding the laser fire then jumping to the opposite wall and pulls a large lever on the wall.
As three sentries fired their blasters they neglected the airlock behind them and it opened sucking them into the cold void of space. Everyone held onto the walls tightly as the air vacuum continued to suck everything. Lance was more than surprised never he thought someone like Slav could do something this crazy, well not the Slav he knew anyway.
"Does he do this in every reality!?" Lance exclaimed as he held onto a wounded Sven.
"Nope just this one." Alt Anna airlock closed and everyone was relieved. Slav hurried over to the Paladins.
"We'll take care of Sven you just get to your lions." Slav said and so the Paladins put on their helmets and headed to where they entered.
"Elsa." Said a voice and Elsa turned to see Alt Anna then out of nowhere she pulled her into a hug. "I know this maybe inaccurate but, it was good to see you again sis, even if it was for one last time." Alt Anna said shedding a tear from her eyes and Elsa was more than happy to return the hug.
"Elsa lets go!" Lance called and so the two broke off from their hug but before Elsa put on her helmet she turned to Sven and out of nowhere gave him a peck on the cheek.
On the haul of the ship the Paladins, Elsa and Olaf exited from the airlock and floated over to the five lions. Soon they were all on board with Elsa in Blue with Allura and Olaf in Black with Kieth.
The Blue lions controls hummed into life but Allura was horrified with what she had done. "This is all my fault" Allura said with guilt. "I activated the ship, their going to dislodge the comet and use it to terrorise every reality."
"No, we can't let that happen, we have to stop them." Elsa said. Then a communication from Slav came through.
"She's right you can still get that comet away from them!" Slav said.
Acting on this idea Kieth began making a plan. "Pidge scan for the comet!" He ordered.
Pidge used her lions scanners to look for the comets signature until. "Yep already locked onto its elemental signature." She relayed.
"Everyone we're going back in to get it!" Kieth said and knew what next to do and threw his control sticks forward.
"FORM VOLTRON!"
The Black Lions growled as it's eyes glowed brightly and the lions came together.
In the cargo hold where the comet was located an unseen force sliced through the haul blasting the hold open. From the smoke Voltron emerges and grabs the comet, and using the jets in his wings he takes the comet from the hold and escapes.
"Okay now what?" Lance asked.
"We need to find the exact spot where we came in or else we won't make it home." Pidge explained.
"Great but where is it?" Olaf asked.
However this doesn't go unnoticed by the Alteans who saw the giant escape and are on their own ship ready to follow them.
"Take them down! Engage thrusters!" Hira ordered as the scientist stood at his station.
"Thrusters ready." He said as he prepared to engage them, however something was wrong an error message appeared on the holo consoles.
"What's happening?" Hira questioned. "We've lost thrusters we're unable to pursue!" The scientist said in confusion as the ship lost power.
The source was none other than Alt Slav who was requiring and pulling apart certain circuits and plugs in the ship preventing it from taking off.
"I LOVE THIS REALITY!" Slav cheered.
Hira just glared at the escaping Voltron she wasn't about to let them get away with something that could enable them to bring their 'peace' to other realities.
"Take them out!" She yelled and lasers started firing not just from their own ship but from the ship transporting the comet too. Each blast missed Voltron as he continued flying with the comet.
Olaf looked outside from the Black Lions eyes and saw the lasers shooting at them he was starting to get a little scared.
"Uh Pidge are we at the way out yet!" Olaf asked hastily.
Pidge was scamming the area as they flew until finally. "There it is I've found it!" She exclaimed as the Green Lions sensors had found where they came in.
As they began their approach the comet began reacting and reopened the rift and began to enter it back to their reality. However the Alteans had other ideas and the ship fired one last energy blast which hit Voltron dead centre in the back pushing him through the rift with the Paladins crying out as they passed through. Elsa held onto Alluras control chair whilst Olaf held onto Kieth. Voltron went through the rift and disappeared without a trace taking the comet with him.
"No!" Hira growled.
On the other side the rift reopened and from the Castle of Lions, Coran and Sven (the reindeer) looked in a combination of horror and amazement. From the rift exited Voltron and the comet much to the joy of the Altean advisor and reindeer even the mice and small snowman cheered.
"Oh your back! Oh thank the ancients!" Coran said with tears present in his eyes. "Paladins, come in, are you okay?"
Suddenly out of nowhere a laser blast hits the castle and the source is from Lotors command ship as two fighter jets flew from the ship and towards the comet.
"Thank you for answering my distress signal Voltron." Lotor said from his command chair as the two ships fired grappling lines to the comet and carry it back to the main ship.
Meanwhile inside their lions the Paladins, Elsa and Olaf were unconscious from the blast they took.
"Paladins come in!" Coran said over the coms and Allura began to stir. "Are you okay?!"
"Coran, we're here." Allura groaned and the Castle flew towards them to pick them up.
Later after explaining everything to Coran about what happened Allura sat alone on the castle bridge with her hair down still in her paladin suit thinking about everything and how she felt she failed.
"Allura." A voice said and she turned to see Elsa standing behind her.
"Elsa." Allura breathed a little startled.
"Are you okay?" Elsa then asked.
"Not really no, I practically nearly handed a powerful object capable of travelling to other realities to who I thought were my people but I was wrong." Allura said venting in sat down next to the Altean Princess as she continued to speak her guilt.
"It's just when I emerged from status in Arus, learning all my people were wiped out, my home my family gone, I feel like I'm all alone." She said. "So when I learn there maybe a chance that at least some of my people may yet live, I.. I felt like I was getting a second chance to be with my people to return home, but... but now I see it wasn't what I thought, I was so caught up in my emotions I was blinded to the truth."
Elsa just listened to everything Allura had said and just put a comforting hand on her shoulder.
"Allura, I understand more than you know." Elsa said. "All that time I spent separated from Anna I felt the same way that I was all alone and didn't have anyone I thought I was going to be alone forever." Elsa said. "But what I didn't realise was despite everything Anna didn't give up on me and it showed me that everything could be like it was when we were kids."
Allura listened to everything Elsa was saying and taking it in. "So if anyone understands that it's me , I know how much you miss your family but if there's one thing I've learned is that even though those we love maybe gone doesn't mean we can't still have them in here." Elsa pointed to her heart.
"I think Hira and those Alteans just lost sight of the ideals Alfor stood for, and ended up becoming no better than the evil they wanted to destroy, but out of all the realities out there at least one of them maybe got it right."
"She's right Allura." The two turned to see Kieth standing behind them. "You did the right thing we couldn't let Hira get that ore." He explained.
"But now Lotor has it." Allura then said, whilst Kieth had an understanding look on his face. "You didn't know." He said.
"That is the problem, we never know." Allura said as she stood up still looking out. "That is exactly why my father sent the lions away so many years ago, to avoid this reality." She said know understanding why her father did what he did instead of continuing the fight. "I finally understand.
"He, probably didn't know the outcome of his decision either." Elsa said. "but maybe he knew by sending you away you would some day awaken and finish what he couldn't, I mean you reunited Voltron, you defeated Zarkon and you will stop whatever comes next. I mean you helped me when my home and kingdom needed help inspiring me to become more than what I am, that my powers can be used to protect those I love."
"Elsa's right, Shiro once said we were brought here by accident or by fate, but whatever the reason we're still here to finish the fight your father started. We'll get it back." Kieth agreed.
"But if we don't?" Allura said turning to Kieth and Elsa.
"Lotor is always one step ahead of us." She explained. "He has a plan for that ore, and if he succeeds, the Galra will finally have a weapon, as powerful as Voltron."
The three looked out to the cold void of space and realised that she was right whatever Lotor had in mind for that comet it wouldn't be good and the thought of the Galra having something just as strong and powerful as Voltron was something so horrifying that couldn't be thought of for now all the Defenders of the Universe can do now is wait for it seemed the future looked rather grim indeed.
Elsewhere in a distant quadrant of space that future was already starting to arrive. Lotors ship flew in the silence of space and in the hold the Galra prince looked at his newly acquired prize a comet with the power to travel between realities with this his grand ambitions would be fulfilled. Just then a communication came through from the bridge.
"Prince Lotor you're needed on the bridge." Axca's voice sounded.
On the bridge the four generals were at their posts looking over their holo consoles as Lotor arrived on the bridge he addressed his generals.
"Report." Lotor said.
"Sir, several minutes ago we picked up a strange anomaly some distance behind us but then it dissapeared." Axca reported. "Then ticks later it appeared again."
"Maybe the sensors are faulty?" Ezor wondered.
"I doubt it, this is beyond a coincidence." Lotor theorised.
"We're being followed?" Zethrid guessed. Just then Narti felt something like a chill going down her spine and Kova reacted too as his fur stiffened. When Ezor breathed she saw clear mist in front of her.
"Hey is it just me or is it getting cold?" She said Lotor thought for a moment and then came to a decision.
"Bring up heat detectors and set blasters to fire around the anomaly." He decided.
"Around it I say we hit it!" Zethrid argued.
"I want to know who's following us." Lotor said and so the ships laser cannons roared into life and began firing behind them at whatever was following them just then something reached out and froze the ship dead in its tracks.
"What in the!" Axca exclaimed just then they heard a banging noise from the haul.
"Something just penetrated the haul!" Zethrid exclaimed and then they saw the door to the bridge begin to turn to ice.
"Stand your ground!" Lotor said readying his sword. "Victory or Death!" The generals readied their blasters and then the door burst opened.
In the smoke Lotor could faintly see something glowing and as the figure walked out of the smoke it revealed a woman dressed similarly to the Queen of Arendelle."Greetings Prince Lotor of the Galra." The Snow Queen introduced "I come to beg an audience with you, one ruler to another." She then bowed.
Lotor looked at the stranger weary he wasn't sure of her intentions but her abilities peaked his interest let alone how she was able to find them. He gestured to his generals to lower their weapons to which they obeyed rather cautiously.
"I am listening." Lotor said to which the Snow Queen gave a smirk knowing she had the princes attention and the first phase of her plan began, knowing she would soon make the acquaintance of five certain Defenders of the Universe.
Authors notes: Uh oh what could the Snow Queen have in mind, she's reached out to Lotor but to what end? Now when writing this chapter I decided to have the mirrorverse house its own Arendelle in the same reality as Sven's and Slavs. Given how things were completely mirrored it made sense. And of course some of you will have noticed some of the Frozen 2 references.
But now not only are the Paladins left with the mystery of the comet Lotor stole but now it seems the Snow Queen is in their universe now. Let's just say come the next chapter, blood will run cold with a bitter reunion.
