Authors notes: And we're back with Frozen Defender folks, sorry for the long delays a lots been going on at work lately so haven't had much time to update my stories lately. But now I've had time to update this one. On a small note to those who were asking me to change Lotors fate in later stories, I have been giving it some thought whilst updating my other stories and I realise that I have seen fanfictions where villians with no chance of redemption in the canon get redemed. Such as Iron117Prime's Worlds Collide story.
So it could be an interesting angle to approach, so later down the line when we get to it there maybe a change of fates in the season 6 storyline and beyond (perhaps)
For now lets focus on the present. Enjoy

:Out of the past:
In the distant regions of space, The Castle of Lions continues to fly through the bright green nebula. Things for the Paladins have been very strange over the past few days. First they find their friend Queen Elsa frozen in an asteroid, sometime after the disappearance of Shiro. Then they find out Arendelle is frozen over, again but this time it is all the work of a woman called the Snow Queen, and recently they had just come face to face with said Snow Queen who is now aiding the Galra. How and why are still a mystery.
On the bridge of the Altean flagship, The Paladins, Elsa, Coran, Sven and Olaf are discussing the previous events. And of the Snow Queen. On the bridge they had the space map open.
"Okay heres the rip." Pidge pointed to the map then pointed to the uncharted planet where they were lured into a trap. "She ambushed us here so that means she, had to have had, a means of somehow reaching Lotor."
"Like what? No one can survive in space ice powers or not." Lance then said.
"We're not gonna be able to stop this Snow Queen and find Anna and Kristof if we don't know where she is." Kieth realised.
"Heres a bigger question how exactly was she able to send Elsa to our dimension in the first place?" Hunk then questioned.
"We're all asking questions yet possess no answers we're missing something." Allura said.
They knew the Altean princess was right, so far they had no answers only questions. Elsa was the most curious, though she didn't fully remember what happened before waking up in the Paladins universe. She began to burn with questions.
"Well maybe we should examine what we know?" Elsa suggested.
"An excellent suggestion." Coran said.
"Well we know that this Snow Queen possesses similar powers to Elsa, and can do everything she can do." Hunk said. "Only more scarier."
"Right but the difference is her powers are a lot more precise in their use." Allura agreed.
"Allura's right, to be able to create ice golems and freeze people with an entire kingdom." Kieth agreed. "You don't just do that it has to be practiced learned."
"I'm not sure even I can do that with my powers." Elsa wondered looking at her hands.
"Well maybe you can Elsa, if you and her share the same powers you should be able to do that as well." Pidge explained.
"Maybe but we should tread carefully, we still don't know what Elsa's powers are capable of." Kieth said.
"Kieth. Elsa's right here you know?" Lance pointed out. He realised the new Red Paladin was right.
"I..sorry Elsa I shouldn't have said…" Kieth apologised.
"No no its okay, I just..I just wonder, how does she have the same powers? Whats her connection to me?" She wondered.
"More to the point whats her connection to the original Paladins?" Pidge then wondered.
"I still can't believe that they came to Arendelle once before?" Olaf wondered.
"But still how did they end up there to begin with?" Hunk wondered seeing as how the original Paladins time was decades before them.
"Allura when you talked to Papie and the trolls did he say anything that might give us a clue?" Elsa wondered.
"I'm not sure but he said that he met my father, that he came seeking his help with some kind of artefact from our universe." Allura explained. "I'm not sure what it means." Coran however looked away in a mixture of fear and shame, something that didn't go unnoticed by Elsa much less Allura.
"Maybe the first thing we need to do is find out how the Snow Queen sent Elsa to our universe to start with." Hunk then suggested. "If we learn how she did it maybe it'll give us a clue of how we can find Anna and Kristof."
"Then we can look for them and stop the Snow Queen!" Olaf said with hope and Sven perked up at the hopes of seeing his friends again.
"Maybe." Hunk said.
However there was still the question of how they might find those answers. Just then as Pidge looked at the holo star map, and their current position. She had an idea. "Well lets head to Olkarion, its not too far away maybe Ryner and her people could help."
"Excellent idea Pidge." Allura agreed.
"Alright we have a plan." Kieth then decided. "Coran plot a course to Olkarion."
"Right away." Coran said. With that the Paladins and their friends took their stations on the bridge. However as Coran was setting the coordinates for Olkarion Olaf noticed how Allura was eyeing him suspiciously.
"Hey Elsa." Olaf said tugging on her arm.
"Yes Olaf?" She asked.
"Is Allura okay, she looks worried." The little snowman said.
The Arendellian queen looked and saw that Allura was eyeing Coran a little suspiciously. She wondered if this had anything to do with what happened during their last confrontation with the Snow Queen. How her trusted aid might know more than he's letting on. If so then what?
Arendelle: Several weeks ago:
Night had fallen over the kingdom of Arendelle and inside the castle, there were still lights on. In the library close to the fire the royal sisters, Kristof, Sven and Olaf were playing a game of charades in their night clothes.
Kristof was the one acting out the pantomime the subject he was given. Whilst the girls, snowman and reindeer were guessing. "Uh reindeer?" Olaf guessed.
Kristof shook his head saying no, he then took up a battle stance with his fist in the air. "Oh uh uh fighter?" Anna guessed.
Kristof nodded as he kept pantomiming waving around his fist. "Uh hitting, punching?" Elsa then guessed.
"Uh fighting someone?" Olaf wondered then he looked at his hand and had an idea. "Oh Shiro!"
"Close!" Kristof hinted. Thats when the game really got interesting.
"Uh…oh oh Sendak!" Anna guessed.
"Yes!" Kristof said to which his girlfriend cheered as did Elsa while Sven rang the bell in his mouth and Olaf just cheered.
"Isn't it a little weird to imitate someone who's tried to kill us?" Anna then asked.
"Says the one who fell for the charm of a prince who then tried to kill her sister and herself?" Kristof teased.
"Oh ha ha no need to be so sarcastic." Anna chuckled.
"Well I did warn you about marrying a man you just met." Elsa said teasingly.
"Oh your one to talk Elsa, how about not being able to dance until Shiro came along." Anna teased.
Elsa did lightly laugh at that joke, but at the same time however she was still worrying on the inside. Yet a week had passed and still no sign of the Paladins. Anna could see that maybe her joke might have caused some offence.
"I..I'm sorry Elsa I shouldn't have…" Anna apologised.
"No no Anna I'm okay. I just…" Suddenly before Elsa could finish that sentence they heard the sound of loud knocking at the main castle door. They were slightly spooked by the loud thumping but none the less got up from their seats and hurried to the castle gate.
The guards soon assembled at the gate preparing for the worst. Anna, Elsa, Kristof, Sven and Olaf soon arrived at the gate. Elsa slowly approach and motioned to the guards to open the gate. The gates opened slowly and what stood in the entrance was a surprise to everyone. It was a woman who looked cold and tired she had dark hair with brown and white furred clothing with a dark cloak. Anna and Elsa with such compassion hurried to the woman to support her.
"Who who is she?" Anna asked.
"I don't know." Elsa said concerned before turning to the guards. "Send word to the infirmary this woman needs food and water."
The guards nodded in agreement as they helped to escort the stranger to the infirmary to receive medical treatment. The sisters were rather curious about who this woman was and where she came from.
Galra Central Command:Present day:
The Snow Queen stood at the helm of Prince Lotor's ship which cruised into the very heart of the Galra Empire. Later down the hallways Lotor escorts the Snow Queen into the Galra lieutenants and soldiers look in question. Who was this outsider that Lotor allowed into the Galra soon arrived at the one place no-one would dare go. Haggar's domain. Lotor escorts the Snow Queen inside the Galra High Priestess's inner sanctuary. Lotor's generals were behind them but were curious.
"Why did the creepy ice lady want us to come here?" Ezor asked.
"Beats me." Zethrid. "I still don't get why we're letting her tag along?"
The Snow Queen looked around the sanctum and examined all the items that sat on the shelves in the room. "You're witch has gathered quite a collection of items." She said in admiration. "Most once belonging to the Alteans if I am not mistaken."
"Yes, the remnants of the Altean world. I do not know what other secrets the witch hides here." Lotor said, he wondered what hides in this place, maybe something he too seeks. "And you say to help you find what you seek is here?"
"I am unsure, but I do feel something." The Snow Queen said. Just then she could feel something a strange feeling that reacted to her magic. She closed her eyes and focused. She could feel the source on the middle shelf behind a box. She moved the box and found what looked like a metal casket it was cracked and ruined. She picked it up, opened it and placed her hand into it. Suddenly she felt a surge of power and her eyes glowed green.
The vision she was having propelled her halfway across the galaxy to a distant planet, one with what looked like mountains circling it. The clouds were circling the peach coloured clouds and sea. The vision then showed a forest full of life and what looked like technology built into it. She gasped as she snapped back to reality. She dropped the casket.
The Galra Prince looked at what it was the Snow Queen had just dropped to the ground. He recognised the craft of this very casket. "The craft of this item is remnant of the the Drule, a war like race that are long since extinct at the hands of my father."
He then heard the breath of the Snow Queen as she opened her eyes with a look of determination. By the look in her eyes she'd learned what she needed to know. "Hehehe how clever but not quite clever enough." She chuckled before turning to Lotor. "I know where we must go next."
"You have found what you seek?" He then asked.
"Not yet but I have the scent of its power." The Snow Queen said. "I shall guide the way to it." She then left the room past the generals who all looked bewildered and confused.
They looked to see their leader was examining the casket the Snow Queen had touched. The Galran prince wasn't sure why but something about the casket placed a look of worry upon his face. "It couldn't be." He said before he placed the casket down then left the witches lair.
"Come we are leaving immediately." He said and his generals soon followed. Once they left the room however a black smoke appeared in the room revealing Haggar herself.
She was concealed in her sanctum the whole time they were in the room. She inspected her collection of items and then gazed her eyes upon the Drule casket on the shelf. "What is it that you and your new ally are scheming Lotor." She said with contempt in her voice.
Olkarion:
Soon the Castle of Lions was arriving at Olkarion home planet of the Olkari, a technological enhanced race of beings who could raise buildings with a single touch. This was a planet the Paladins had long since freed from the tyranny of the Galra before Zarkon's defeat.
Olaf, Elsa and Sven looked at the planet from the bridge and were completely entranced by its beauty. "Wow, so thats Olkarion it's so beautiful." Olaf said.
"I know Olaf, it..it's incredible." Elsa agreed in awe.
"Well wait till you see the city Elsa its just as spectacular, I can't wait to see what technological advances they've made since the last time we were here." Pidge said rather only was this the place she made a deep connection with her lion but also a place to learn new technological knowledge.
The Altean ship soon reverted to vertical flight as it landed within the city itself. The boarding capsule from the castle dismounted and landed on the ground. The Paladins, Elsa, Olaf and Sven exited the capsule to then be greeted by a crowd of Olkari and their leader Ryner.
"Paladins, it is good to see you all." Ryner greeted.
"It is good to see you again Ryner." Allura greeted back, it was then that Ryner noticed a certain Ice Queen in the company of the Paladins.
"Queen Elsa." She said in surprise as she bowed in respect. "I did not expect to see you again."
"Oh please Ryner theres no need to bow, but its good to see you as well." Elsa said humbly. "I never got to thank you for helping to protect Arendelle from Zarkon."
"Think nothing of it your highness, any ally of Voltron is more than welcome in the eyes of the Olkari." Ryner explained. Then looking to the Paladins. "But I take it this meeting isn't unprecedented."
"I'm afraid not, we need your help." Pidge explained.
Later everyone was gathered in the city of the Olkari and inside the main lab which overlooked the city. The former home of the disgraced leader Lubos. Elsa explained to the Olkari head scientist her story of how her sister and Ice Master are missing, how she got to this universe and meeting the Paladins once again, while at the same time the Paladins explain about the Snow Queen and her involvement in their disappearance and Elsa being here.
"And thats pretty much the long and short of it." Allura explained.
"Hmm based on all you've described it sounds like this Snow Queen does somehow possess dimensional traveling capabilities." Ryner deduced. "But how that is possible is a mystery since the only thing capable of traversing realities is the comet ore you say Voltron is made of, or through the use of the space time rift that brought you to Arendelle the first time."
"Not to mention she somehow managed to get through the rip and has the same powers as Elsa." Hunk pointed out.
Ryner took a deep thought on this matter. Meanwhile Olaf and Sven we're exploring the lab and the small snowman took a special interest in one of the small plant tech headsets in the room. He picked it up and looked at it. "Ooo shiny." Olaf said.
Sven agreed as he picked one headset up in his mouth and smiled. He then flipped it over and it landed on his head.
"Elsa, is there anything you recall about this Snow Queen that might help?" Rhyner asked.
"Not really." Elsa admitted feeling her head. "I remember some things since seeing her on that planet, but the rest is just bits and pieces."
"Thats why we came to you Ryner, maybe you could help us solve this, and maybe find a way for us to locate Anna and Kristof." Kieth then explained.
"Of course, perhaps the first course of action is to run a scan on Elsa to see if there are any tachyon particles still present." Ryner then proposed.
"Tachyon what?" Elsa asked.
"Oh you see Elsa whenever something or someone phases between trans dimensional barriers, it leaves a trail of tachyon particles behind." Pidge explained.
"Right it's kind of like background radiation whenever we travel dimensions, kinda like how you tread on the ground it leaves an imprint like a finger print." Hunk explained.
"Wow, this science is a lot more complicated." Elsa said rubbing her head.
"I'll say it is." Called a voice and the group looked to see Olaf was hanging upside down in the hands of a tree mech. Sven was stuck in the pilot seat and was just sitting there with a curious face.
"Olaf." Elsa chuckled shaking her head as Kieth went to help the snowman down from the mech.
"Seriously Olaf, didn't anyone teach you that curiosity killed the cat?" Kieth questioned as he placed Olaf down on the ground while Lance helped Sven out of the mech.
"But you guys fly giant cats don't you?" Olaf asked. Kieth just had a dumbfounded face.
"Wow Kieth you really walked into that one huh." Lance teased much to the new Black Paladins grimaced face.
"Not the point Lance!" Kieth then said through his teeth.
"I think what Kieth means is that, you need to be careful Olaf." Allura explained in an understanding tone. "There are thing in here that shouldn't be touched."
"Oh okay." Olaf understood.
"I'd better take these two for a look around the forest." Hunk suggested. "Come on you two." With that Olaf mounted Sven and they followed the Yellow Paladin out of the lab.
Elsewhere several Quadrents away from Olkarion:
Elsewhere in the darkness of space Lotor's cruiser flew through the bridge of the ship, Lotor, The Generals and the Snow Queen were assembled around a universe holo map. Since that vision from the casket back in Haggar's lair, the Snow Queen now needed to know where she would be directing the Galran Prince's forces.
"Based on what you saw in that vision, we believe this is where you were being directed to." Axca explained as she pointed to the holo map, and pointed to a certain planet in the system.
"And where pray tell is that?" The Snow Queen asked.
"Olkarion." Lotor explained. "A technological advanced planet, once under Galra control when my father ruled, but now it has been retaken by its people, with the aid of Voltron."
The Snow Queen simply glared at the very mention of that name. However there was one thing that was on Zethrid's mind. "So why are we heading to that mud ball anyway, its not like we can retake it, but I do welcome a challenge."
"Yeah she's got a point, I mean ever since we left the witches lab you haven't told us what you want from Lotor?" Ezor agreed, whilst Narti remained silence while Kovu just snarled at the stranger.
"All shall soon be revealed my dear." The Snow Queen merely said as she closed her eyes and focused she could feel the same surge she had before, it showed her a vision of Olkarion, however it also showed her something else. It showed her the presence of a certain Ice Queen lying down on a table as she was being scanned by Pidge and Ryner.
She snapped out of the vision with a rather sinister looking smirk upon her face. "Well well, seems what I seek isn't the only thing we'll find on that planet, time for a family reunion." She said.
The Generals were still unsure of this Snow Queens intentions much less why she hasn't yet told them what is it she seeks of the Galra Empire. Lotor too was rather wary of her intentions, from the first glance upon the casket he saw in Haggar's lair he had a suspicion of what his new ally sought to claim. For now he could afford to bid his time, until all could be revealed.
Olkarion:
Meanwhile back on the home of the Olkari, Elsa was lying on a cold metal table being scanned by one of the Olkari's scanning devices. Many scientists were gathered in the lab and Pidge was present with Kieth in the room.
Soon the scan was complete and Ryner looked over the results. "Well Ryner?" Pidge then asked.
"Judging from the scan there are small traces of tachyon particles, but I'm not sure it'll be enough to track more." The lead Olkari scientist diagnosed.
"But that still doesn't mean we can't try right?" Pidge wondered.
"Right." Ryner said. Elsa got up from the scanning table as Kieth helped her up.
"So does that mean we might be able to find Anna?" Elsa hoped.
"Well thats the hope, with luck we might be able to put together a tachyon tracker for the Castle of Lions." Pidge explained with a hopeful smile which did assure Elsa a little bit.
Later the Ice Queen decided to have a little explore of the planet, so before heading back to the Castle of Lions, Allura took her to the woods. They looked around at the technorganic village the Olkari had forged for themselves when they were driven from the city by the Galra. Elsa couldn't help but admire the beauty around her.
"This is incredible." She breathed in admiration. "I'd heard your stories but to see it…its indescribable."
"Indeed, I too found it incredible how the Olkari quickly adapted to the forest." Allura explained. "Though the city was taken they found new life in the wilderness, it shows how much potential they have to offer the universe."
Elsa still couldn't help but admire the glow from the trees around her and the small fireflies that flew around her. However her expression dimmed thinking about something. Or rather someone.
"Anna would've loved it here." Elsa sighed in sadness. Allura couldn't help but feel sympathy. Someone who she considers family was still in grieving for not knowing her sisters fate. She places her hand on her shoulder in consoulment.
"I know, I wish she could see this too." Allura said. "I promise you Elsa we will find your sister, and when we do we will free Arendelle and send this Snow Queen back to wherever she came from."
Elsa gave a warm smile towards one she considered her second sister, she knew Allura meant it. However she could also see that the Altean Princess also had a look of conflict within her heart.
"I know, and I also know that somethings troubling you too." She guessed.
Allura could see she noticed that she too was troubled. She needed to voice this out now or else it would forever be on her mind. "Yes. Its just….its something the Snow Queen said back when she ambushed us." Allura explained.
Flashback:
The scene flashes back to the events of the Paladins last encounter with the Snow Queen. The Snow Queen and Allura were now in close combat.
"How do you know about my father?!" Allura demanded.
"More than you it seems but your trusted aid know more than he's telling you." The Snow Queen taunted.
"What's that supposed to mean?" Allura asked.
"Why don't you ask him." The Snow Queen said. They broke off and the snow Queen immediately froze Allura in place up to her throat.
Present Day:
"She said…she said that Coran knew more than he was telling me." Allura explained. "At first I…I didn't believe her, I know Coran would never hide anything from me… but lately I, I can't help but wonder if he's keeping something from from me."
"About the Snow Queen?" Elsa then wondered aloud.
"I'm not sure, maybe more besides." Allura voiced. "I just can't get it out of my mind." She was right to be troubled, the idea that someone, she considered her second father would be keeping secrets from her.
"Allura you shouldn't let her manipulate you, she's trying to get in your head just like she nearly did me." Elsa said to her. "I mean, I still question what she knows of the past, how she even has the same powers I do, there there just has to be more to the story there has to be."
Allura could see that despite remembering the Snow Queens involvement with Anna's disappearance she still burned with questions about what she couldn't remember. It seemed the two of them had the same conflicts were those closest to them hiding something from them, and what secrets lie in the past yet to be discovered.
"I'm just, I'm just so afraid, not just for Anna but… I mean I faced an alien war lord and overcame my grief of my powers but why am I still so afraid?!" Elsa questioned.
"Elsa, being afraid is a natural thing." Allura said getting her attention. "I mean ever since I emerged from stasis on Arus, I was afraid. I was scared that I wouldn't be able to succeed where my father failed in fighting the Galra, that I couldn't be the leader that he was." The ice queen hung onto every word the princess turned Paladin was saying.
"But after seeing Shiro, Kieth, Hunk, Lance and Pidge risk their lives to reassemble Voltron and continue to stand up to whatever Zarkon threw at them, they gave me the courage to fight for what I believe in, yet I still fear what comes next." Allura turns to Elsa.
"Elsa the point is we are all afraid no matter how strong we grow, but in the end admitting we are afraid is how we over come it, and when we do we emerge the stronger for it." Allura then explained.
Elsa realised she was right, she had been so afraid of her powers for so long she nearly let it consume her. But then after meeting the Paladins she realised she couldn't be afraid, that she could be brave. However before she could answer the Altean Princess she suddenly felt a pain in her head.
"GAHHH!" she yelled.
"Elsa!" Allura said grabbing onto her as she collapsed to the ground in pain.
The Ice Queen cried in pain as she felt something in her mind she suddenly had a vision of the deeper forests of Olkarion. Then suddenly she flashed back to reality. "Elsa!" Called Allura.
"What happened?" She then asked.
"I..I don't know I…" Suddenly Elsa gasped. "Allura!" She pointed the Altean princesses attention to some of the vegetation in the forest. It was beginning to turn to ice.
"I..I'm not doing this." Elsa gasped then suddenly it dawns on her. "She's here." She gasped.
Allura gasped as she knew who was on this planet, which meant that the Galra couldn't be far behind. Then suddenly she just noticed Elsa run off in the direction of the ice. "Elsa!" Allura called.
She quickly chased after her brushing past the trees in the forest trying to keep up with the running Ice Queen. "Elsa what are you doing!" She called.
"I'm not letting her get away not this time!" Elsa said determined she was going to get her sister back even if it meant facing the stranger that separated them again.
They headed deeper and deeper into the forest eventually arriving at a clearing in the forest. However just as Allura was about to catch up to Elsa, a large wall of ice emerged from the ground separating them from each other. The Altean Princess stopped just before she hit the ice wall.
"Elsa!" She called to her and the Ice Queen quickly turned and saw her friend stranded on the other side of the wall.
"Allura h..hold on I'll bring down the wall." Suddenly before Elsa could do that something clamped round her wrist. She looked down and saw it was a chain and shackle made of ice. Then with one jerk it pulled Elsa deeper into the forest much to the horror of the Blue Paladin.
"NO!" She cried. She quickly formed her Bayard weapon and slashed it against the ice to no avail all she made were a few scratches. The magic of the Snow Queen was clearly stronger than she realised.
"Kieth! Kieth come in this is an emergency!" Allura called on the coms. "Elsa's in trouble the Snow Queen is here!"
Elsa cried and screamed as she was being pulled through the forest by the ice chain around her hand the twigs and roots slashed against her face then she was brought crashing to the ground. She found herself over a patch of ice on the ground. She groaned feeling the shock of being yanked through the forest at such a fast rate. She tried to get up, but before she could a sharp force yanked her left arm to the side. Elsa looked in horror seeing another ice chain and shackle restraining her to the floor. She tried to break free but the chain suddenly got tighter.
"Don't bother struggling." Elsa's eyes shrunk in fear she looked up and standing before her was the Snow Queen herself. She approached her.
"Oh look at you, so full of fear." The Snow Queen taunted. "Just imagined what you could do if you learned to control it." Elsa was just frozen in fear listening to her captors taunts. "You had the chance to do that once, but you squandered it."
Elsa tried to pull herself free but no matter what she did she couldn't break free and the chains got tighter and tighter she growled but it was all in vain.
"Fortunately for me the more fear you feel, the tighter the chains will become." The Snow Queen said. "And for now thats all I need."
Elsa breathed in and out almost in a panic. "W..why are you here what are you doing here!" She demanded. "If you think I'll go back with you you're mistaken!"
"Oh ho my little Elsa, I'm not here just for you." The Snow Queen said with a honesty smile. "I'm here for something on this planet, something I have been longing to see again for a long time."
The Arendellian queen was all but confused by her twisted riddles what could be on Olkarion that she wants just as much as her. However before she could respond they heard a sound echo in the air. Elsa knew what it was, it was a lions roar. The Snow Queen heard it as well.
"Voltron." Elsa breathed with some hope knowing her friends were coming.
The Snow Queen however seemed undeterred from this. "Ah so the lions come to the hunt, hm.. but let's see what happens when the lions become the prey."
If Elsa wasn't worried she was now, just what did she mean by that. The Snow Queen then kneeled down to Elsa's level and just looked right into her eyes. "I would tell you, that everything is going to be fine." She placed her hand against her cheek caressing it and Elsa looked away in dismay as her blood ran cold. "That I won't hurt you, but your worries and your fear are what I need right now, and I shall show the Paladins that same fear."
She then got up and walked away leaving the Ice Queen restrained in the ice chains that grew tighter the more scared she got. "W..what are you going to do?" She demanded.
"Oh…" The Snow Queen breathed chuckling as she looked at her captive. "I'm going to build a snowman." She said before she started using her ice magic to conjure something.
A distance away:
High above the forest the Lions of Voltron flew together searching for the missing Ice Queen. Upon hearing Allura's distress call the Paladins assembled in their lions and hurried to meet Blue Lion had already found Allura and picked her up. Now they had to find Elsa before it was too late.
"Okay guys look sharp, we don't know what the Snow Queen is capable of." Kieth called from the Black Lion.
"So whats the play Kieth?" Lance asked on the coms.
"We find Elsa and if the Snow Queen is here we take her down." Kieth simply replied.
"If anything happens to her…" Allura said in her guilt. "If only I'd stayed closer to her maybe I could've…"
"Allura." Lance called. "This isn't your fault we all feel the same way."
"Lance is right if you had followed her you would've been captured yourself." Kieth agreed. "We're all here to help her now, so let's go find her."
Allura could hear the determined tone in Kieth's voice and the encouraging thoughts of Lance. They were right this was no time to grief in blame, now was the time to act and find their friend before it was too late. They wouldn't lose her like they lost their former leader.
"Well thats gonna be tough, she could be anywhere in the forest." Pidge then said surveying the area from her lion.
Just then Hunk noticed something from the Yellow Lion. "Well that might help." He pointed out.
The other Paladins looked and saw what the Yellow Paladin was pointing at. Far below them, the trees and technorganic life below them was completely frozen in ice. Suddenly they looked ahead and saw something they could never have foreseen. It was an enormous tornado of ice and snow. Though they couldn't make it out they saw something was forming within the tornado. Then with one blast wave of ice it pushed the lions back.
"Whoa what was…." Before Lance could finish that sentence he looked and saw what had emerged from the tornado. The Paladins all had wide eyes of shock.
For standing before them was a titan made of ice dark blue ice. The beast appeared to have dark blue ice spikes coming from its shoulders and its armour bore the shape of a viking with small traces of snow on its back and its feet. It had glowing white eyes in its head and wielded a spiked shield of ice in his right arm, whilst in his left it wielded an axe of ice. It glared its glowing eyes at the lions in its path and let out an almighty roar as it banged its axe on its shield.
"Holy CROW WHAT THE HELL IS THAT!" Hunk exclaimed.
"It..it looks like some kind of giant made of ice!" Pidge exclaimed.
"This must be the Snow Queens doing!" Allura guessed. The giant then readied its axe and with one swift motion tossed it at the lions it span towards them like a spinning frisbee.
"SCATTER!" Kieth yelled and the Lions quickly flew away in different directions to avoid the axe strike it span round then returned to the ice giant.
The lions then regrouped. "We need to take this thing down, Lance cascade with me and Pidge. Allura you and Hunk are on the offensive!"
The lions flew forwards and attacked, The Black, Red and Green lions attacked first with laser blasts from their mouths towards the ice giant. However it blocked their attacks with its shield then sliced at the lions with its axe. Black and Red flew away to avoid the blade.
The Green Lion then attacked from behind forming its Vine cannon on its back and fired it towards the ground. Just then vines emerged from the ground and they quickly restrained the giant in place forcing it to drop its weapons.
High above the Yellow Lion flew in as Hunk yelled as he rammed into his opponent head first knocking the ice giant back. Then it was the Blue Lions turn. It swooped in with its jaw blade and sliced its left hand clean off.
"Way to disarm him Allura!" Lance cracked.
"Really Lance." Kieth said unamused.
"Uh I hate to interrupt the snarky comments but look." Pidge pointed out and the Paladins saw within seconds the Ice giant regenerated its severed limb and its weapons then returned to him as he summoned them.
"This thing can heal itself!" Hunk cried in disbelief.
From the cockpit of the Blue Lion, the Altean Princess looked and detected something on her lions sensors. She enlarged a screen from her left and it revealed something shocking. She saw Elsa restrained at the mercy of the Snow Queen.
"Paladins I see Elsa she's in trouble we have to help her!" Allura exclaimed. She moved the lions controls and flew down towards that area of the forest. However her path was blocked by the ice giant as it swatted the Blue Lion away with its shield sending it flying into the air.
"Allura are you okay? Lance asked as the Red Lion rushed to her side.
"I'm fine Lance." Allura assured.
From the Black Lion Kieth decided enough was enough this giant was between them and Elsa so they needed to act. "Alright! Enough messing around guys, its time we show this Snow Queen who she's dealing with!…"
"FORM VOLTRON!"
The Black Lion let out a roar as it and its pride came together. The red and green lions began transforming into the arms and body, whilst the Blue and Yellow Lions came together as the feet and legs. The component parts joined to the Black Lion one by one. Until finally Black formed the head and finally Voltron was formed.

The Snow Queen looked with a tainted smrik as she saw the Legendary Defender from the ground below. "Well well the Defender of the Universe before me again, oh this should be entertaining to see the new Paladins live up to the name of their predecessors."
Elsa just watched with fearful eyes as she looked up and saw her friends had indeed come to help her. But she was worried she knew they could defeat this giant, but if the Snow Queen was more powerful than her, powerful enough to conjure a giant such as this. She hoped her friends would be up to this task.
Voltron landed facing the ice giant standing before him the giant roared and banged his axe against his shield. It lunged forwards ready to strike the Defender of the Universe.
"He's coming straight at us!" Pidge exclaimed.
"Time to go on the offensive!" Kieth said as he materialised the Black Bayard. "FORM SWORD!" He thrusted it into the open port and then Voltron formed his sword from his hands.
The Ice giant attacked swinging its axe only to then be blocked by the sword. They clashed in their duel and Voltron blasted the giant in the chest with an energy blast from the Green Lion catapulting it backwards. Only for the damage to its armour to repair Ice Giant roared as it then tossed its axe towards Voltron.
"Axe incoming!" Hunk cried.
"Shield up!" Kieth exclaimed the wings from Voltrons back blasted off then formed his shield blocking the strike from the ice axe the impact blasted him back.
"Whoa! I felt that one!" Lance exclaimed.
"We gotta be careful guys I don't know if the shield can take any more hits like that!" Pidge realised.
"Here he comes!" Hunk yelled.
They saw the Ice giant running towards them axe in hand. Voltron raised his sword and rocketed towards the giant with the Paladins yelling in a battle cry as the robot swung his sword and it clashed with the ice giants shield, it tried to strike back with its axe only to be blocked by Voltrons shield. The two stood evenly matched trying to push each other back The Paladins growled as they tried to stand their ground.
Far below the Snow Queen watched in amusement. "How pitiful." She smirked as she looked back to her captive ice queen. "Look at what they have to even match the power we have, its right you should pity them Elsa, but wrong to favour them over your own family."
Elsa just glared at that whilst lying restrained in the chains. "You are not my family! You took Anna from me and you froze my home, w…why just why what did I ever do to you!"
"Oh thats right you still don't remember, I tried to be a part of your so called family, but your sister feared my power, so she had to go, and when you stood in my way you decided to turn against me!" The Snow Queen said.
Elsa just listened to the Snow Queens words, she was right though she still had no memory of what had happened between Anna and the Snow Queen and now she was going as far as trying to take her new family too.
From afar the Olkari saw the attack from the ice giant and that Voltron was doing what he could to fight back. Ryner watched from the main tower of the city and hurried to the control consoles. Olaf and Sven soon quickly arrived on the scene with Coran right behind them.
"Whats happening?!" Olaf asked.
"Some kind of Ice giant has just appeared in the forest! The Paladins are doing all they can to hold it back!" Ryner exclaimed. Coran looked out to the forest and saw the ice giant swinging its axe at Voltron slashing him across the chest forcing him back.
"Its the Snow Queen!" Coran breathed in horror.
"She's here!" Olaf cried. "But wh..wheres Elsa!" He gasped realising what could've happened to her. "She's in trouble!"
"Olaf calm down we won't let any harm come to her." Coran assured but then he realised something. "But if she's here…where's the Galra?"
High above close to Olkarions orbit, Lotors cruiser maintained its position a distance away from the planet to avoid detection. On the bridge Lotor and his generals watched the battle from afar via the viewing monitor. Zethrid however was becoming impatient.
"Why are we watching from afar! We should attack Voltron now while we have the element of surprise!" She growled impatiently.
"You want to get on the wrong side of that thing?" Ezor questioned pointing to the ice giant as it blocked a sword attack from Voltron then swung its axe letting loose shards of dark ice which Voltron quickly blocked.
"A leader knows when to engage in battle and when to hold back." Lotor explained as he eyed the battle from his command chair. "Besides, I want to know just how devoted our so called new ally is."
He watched the battle, he was already suspicious of his allies intentions, after seeing the casket she had an interest in he could sense something more to this.
Olkarion:
Back on Olkarion the Ice warrior swung its axe at Voltron who just managed to block with his shield then performed a slice upper cut creating a massive gash on its body. Which then heals instantly.
"Its no good, every time we land an attack on this thing it heals then attacks us with the axe!" Allura exclaimed.
"Then maybe we need to make a bigger dent than it can handle!" Lance exclaimed.
"Lance's right we need to try something different!" Kieth agreed. "Hunk FORM CANNON!"
Without question The Yellow Paladin inserted his Bayard into the open port and activated its power. Voltrons sword disappeared and in its place was the cannon mounted on its shoulder. The cannon fired a large blast towards the Ice Warrior who raised his shield and blocked the blast. However the immense heat all but blasted the warrior completely away. The smoke cleared and it revealed all that was left of the Ice Warrior was just the lower half of its body and its legs.
To the Paladins it seemed as if they had won. Elsa looked with hope in her eyes knowing that her friends had triumphed. The Snow Queen however just maintained her smirk she seemed to know differently.
Suddenly out of nowhere the Ice Warrior started growing and reformed its destroyed limbs the ice grew and grew eventually reforming its body, arms and head then finally its shield and axe. It was now slightly taller than Voltron and looked much more angrier than before. It let out a roar turning its gaze to the Legendary Defender.
The Paladins were completely frozen in shock their big gun did destroy the Ice Warrior only for it to reform before their very eyes.
"Thats thats impossible!" Allura gasped.
"We gave it a massive blast and it just gets up and walk away!" Lance exclaimed.
"Marshmallow couldn't do that?" Hunk panicked.
"Guys remember the Snow Queens powers are more precise than Elsa's meaning she can create Ice monsters more powerful and durable than Marshmallow is." Pidge reminded.
"Even making them the size of Voltron!" Lance exclaimed.
Kieth growled in frustration everything they threw at this thing had just healed in seconds, and even after a massive blow it shouldn't have survived but it was still standing. However he knew that their friend was still in danger, they had faced greater odds before and they'd over come it.
"Come on guys we can't give up, we've faced tougher Robeasts than this and we make it through!" Kieth exclaimed to his teammates. "You know Shiro wouldn't give up, so neither should we. We may not be able to survive this but this thing is way too dangerous to let it keep wandering around we need to stop it here and now!"
"Kieth is right, Elsa is down there we couldn't help Anna but we won't abandon her to torment at the hands of the Snow Queen." Allura , Pidge and Lance nodded in agreement they couldn't give up now.
Voltron stood ready to fight reforming his sword and shield standing battle ready. The Ice giant roared and charged straight at the Legendary Defender and Voltron rocketed forwards sword first at his opponent.
Back in the city the Olkari monitored the situation and Ryner was working hard on the console. "Ryner there must be a way for us to help the Paladins?" Coran said.
"There is, its a long shot but it maybe the only chance we have." Ryner said as she placed on a techno forest headset then interacted with the computers.
Outside rising on the tower was a medium sized circular looking device. "Its a fusion cannon we've been working on in the event of another Galra attack, in building the coalition we need to be prepared." Ryner explained. "Its a prototype so we only have enough power for one shot."
"Well we better make it count." Coran said determined, however it was then he noticed he was the only on in the room with Ryner and the other Olkari scientists.
"Uh, where are Sven and Olaf?" He asked.
The Forest:
Voltron continues to battle the reformed Ice Warrior slashing at it with its sword slicing off its right hand only to reform again with its axe weapon in hand. The Ice Warrior struck back slashing at Voltron with its axe only to be blocked by his shield, then struck quick ramming into Voltron with its shield blasting them backwards leaving a trail of destroyed trees behind them. The Paladins growled as they tried to steady the giant.
Far below all Elsa could do was watch helplessly, as her friends attack again and again at the Ice Warrior formed by the Snow Queen. However it just recovers and blasts them back. She shook with fear.
"What do I do I have to try and help them!" She thought. She struggled and struggled but couldn't break the chains. She tried using her own ice magic but it was no good it was resistant to her powers. This was just like being captured by Zarkon all over again she was helpless.
The Snow Queen was all but amused by suddenly she felt the floor vibrating below her feet. Elsa heard that sound too they looked and suddenly emerging from the woods was a large looking orbed mecha suit with curved legs and glowing green lines and seemed to be made of the same technorganic material as the trees.
It charged out of the forest taking the Snow Queen completely by surprise it zoomed towards her and with one swipe of its front leg it swatted the Snow Queen into a tree knocking her to the ground. Elsa was rather taken aback then the front of the mech opened and to her surprise it revealed Olaf wearing one of the headsets and Sven was inside the cockpit with him.
"Elsa! We saved you!" Olaf cheered.
"O..Olaf? Sven?!" Elsa said in surprise.
The reindeer quickly hurried out of the mech with Olaf close behind him. They both tried to break the chains to set their friend free. "Oh these are some tough chains." Olaf tried.
Sven just yanked and yanked at the chains with his mouth but they just wouldn't snap even though they were made of ice. Sven growled in frustration trying to break the chains.
"Its no good they won't break as long as I'm afraid." Elsa explained.
"Oh well, thats okay all you need to do is stop being scared." Olaf said.
"But thats just it, I… I can't help being scared, what if..what if I can't stop being afraid." Elsa wondered with fear still present in her eyes.
"Elsa, its okay I'm scared too, I mean just trying to drive that plant mech down here with Sven." Olaf explained and the reindeer nodded in agreement. "But I came anyway, because your my friend and you were in trouble, when we see a friend in need we have to help no matter how scared we are. Anna taught me that."
Elsa was rather taken aback, her small snowman friend and reindeer despite everything came to help her. Even though she was scared. Thats when she thought back to everything, how Anna came to the North Mountain to find her despite her pushing her away, first meeting the Paladins, and seeing Shiro's courage in the face of the Galra platoon that attacked the ice palace, even recent memories of her trip to the mirror verse and seeing Sven (Shiros counterpart) protect her from a laser blast meant for her. In all her flash backs she remembered the words of her friend Princesss Allura.
"We are all afraid no matter how strong we grow, but in the end admitting we are afraid is how we over come it, and when we do we emerge the stronger for it."
All of a sudden Elsa was snapped back to reality when all of a sudden a blast of ice blasted both Olaf and Sven away from Elsa and the ice restrained them to the trees. The three looked and saw the Snow Queen had recovered and looked with angered eyes.
"I've tolerated your interference long enough!" The Snow Queen growled.
Meanwhile Voltron was blasted back by the Ice Warriors axe and sent flying into the ground and crashing into one of the mountains. The Paladins groaned in pain as they quickly recovered. The ice Warrior then lunged towards them and swung his axe to the defender who quickly caught the axe with his hands.
Lance and Pidge growled as they tried to hold the Ice Warrior back. "He's too strong!" Lance growled.
"We can't hold it like this much longer!" Pidge exclaimed.
"Hold the line one way or another we're bringing this thing down!" Kieth yelled as he thrusted his control sticks forwards trying to help his teammates.
Things were about to get worse, for suddenly as Voltron tried to hold the axe back his lion hands began to turn to ice. It grew and grew until it completely covered the lions heads. Allura watched this from her cockpit.
"Oh no we're starting to freeze!" Allura cried.
"We gotta do something or else we'll become Voltroncicles!" Hunk exclaimed.
"Kieth try the sword quick!" Lance suggested.
However when Kieth tried to use his Bayard, the port didn't activate when inserted. It wouldn't even twist. "I can't the Bayards not working!"
In the forest Elsa watched in horror as Voltron was being frozen to ice by the Ice Warrior, she also saw Olaf and Sven restrained to the trees by the Snow Queens ice. She herself could only watch restrained by the chains. She needed to act. She closed her eyes.
"I'm not afraid…I'm not afraid." She just said to herself at first she was still unsure. She still felt afraid, but remembered her friends needed her. "I. Am. Not. Afraid!" She breathed.
Then almost as if through a sheer force of will the chains on Elsa's wrists shattered like glass. She was free. The Snow Queen remained completely oblivious she was too busy enjoying the show before her.
"How pitiful, they call themselves the successors to the Paladins they have so much power in their giant defender they squander it!" The Snow Queen scoffed. "You see Elsa we have power only half of what they posses but unlike them we are not afraid to take that power and wield it to our full potential, and yet they fear us which is why…"
"How dare you!" The Snow Queen turned round and saw that Elsa was free from her restraints and her hands were surging with ice magic.
"Elsa….you overcame your fears." The Snow Queen said rather impressed. "So you finally see."
"I see only too clearly, its you who doesn't understand!" Elsa exclaimed to her. "You dare laugh at them! They have been kind to me they protected me, they taught me to be strong, my sister taught me to love and to be brave!"
"They are nothing!" The Snow Queen merely exclaimed as she threw a flurry of ice crystals towards Elsa only for her to form a shield of ice on her right arm which deflected the ice crystals away.
"They fear those with power, those they don't understand! They will turn their backs on you just as your sister did to me! She turned you against me just like your mother did!" The Snow Queen yelled.
Elsa was taken aback and now cross this Snow Queen knew her mother and she dared bring her into any of this. "Leave my family out of this!" She exclaimed.
"Don't you mean our family, enough of this foolishness come let us be a family just as we were meant to be." The Snow Queen said softly.
Elsa just summoned her power and created a snow storm which blew all around the forest Olaf and Sven were completely surprised. "You are not my family! I may not remember much but I do know who my true family is, and its with Olaf, Sven, Coran and Paladins, they're my friends but much more than that!." Elsa exclaimed. "They. Are. My….FAMILY!" She blasted the Snow Queen with a powerful blast of ice magic that sent her flying into one of the trees.
Voltron was nearly completely frozen over as he tried to hold the Ice Warrior back but his strength was failing, as was the strength of the Paladins. Their controls began to freeze though their suits protected them they were beginning to feel weaker and weaker.
"We..we gotta g..gget free." Hunk shivered.
"We..we c.. 't go down like this." Lance tried to fight the cold but it was no use.
Kieth tried to maintain his strength as the head of Voltron but he too was fading. Suddenly the Black Lions eyes glowed bright then Kieth looked to see the Bayard port was glowing and the lion growling in his mind. He looked out onto one of the monitors and it showed him something. It was Elsa standing her ground against the Snow Queen. Kieth was amazed when he and the other Paladins first met her she seemed timid and was still a little scared of using her powers, but to look at her now. She looked like she had over come that fear, one she learned could be conquered not just by Shiro but Allura as well.
Seeing this Kieth had a revelation. "No! We're not giving up now!" He yelled his fellow Paladins heard him. "Elsa's relying on us! Shiro wouldn't quit and neither will we!"
He reformed his Bayard and with one yell inserted it into the open port and with one twist it activated.
"FORM BLAZING SWORD!"
Suddenly Voltron's hands lit up with energy and exploded catapulting the Ice Warrior back and tumbled into the trees and as he stood strong and slid across the ground he took up a large chunk of the ground with him.
The Ice Warrior looked up and saw his opponent. Voltron was now free of the ice and now wielded his sword and the blade was lit with a bright yellow flame. The same flame that delivered the final blow to Zarkon's mech. The Ice Warrior was standing ready to attack. The Snow Queen had just witnessed what had happened. Her creation was about to claim victory and somehow the Legendary Defender had freed himself from its grasp.
"That thats impossible!" The Snow Queen breathed in shock.
"I said that too, they fight against impossible odds anyone would be afraid of." Elsa said. "I was afraid too but I realise they fight not just for their home, not just for the universe they fight for each other they work together to overcome anything!" The Snow Queen just glared at that. "Thats what you don't understand, they understand me, and one taught me if I get too worried about something that can go wrong we may miss the chance to do something great. I finally understand I choose to help them I choose to be strong!"
Elsa unleashed her powers upon the Snow Queen who just retaliated with an ice blast of her own. The two clashed one was stronger than the other but Elsa still stood her ground.
The Ice Warrior was ready to attack and Voltron raised his Blazing Sword and stood ready to face is opponent. Suddenly as the Ice Warrior was about to attack. A loud humming sound could be heard and the warrior looked to see a blast of green energy strike it in the left arm blasting it clean away.
"Huh?!" Lance exclaimed."What the heck was that!"
"It looked like it came from the city!" Allura called.
Just then the com lines opened to reveal it was Coran and Ryner on the other line. "Paladins nows your chance!" Coran yelled. The Paladins knew this was their chance to act so they charged forwards sword first.
In the forest Elsa and the Snow Queen struggled to push each other back. Eventually Elsa found the strength she needed and pushed back against her opponent. Just as the Ice warrior regenerated his hand and weapon and the Snow Queen tried to push against the force of her opponents powers.
Elsa and the Paladins yelled in a battle cry almost as if they were one. In one swift motion Voltron struck his Blazing Sword right into the Ice Warriors gut with the blazing flame emerging from the other side of the warrior was said blade of fire. Whilst Elsa used the full force of her powers to send the Snow Queen flying into the air and crashing into the trees in the distance.
The Ice Warrior began to develop cracks all over the Ice Warrior, blasting out rays of blazing light and then it shattered like glass and Voltron retracted his sword standing victorious.
The Snow Queen growled as she got up from the ground. She was close to the battle grounds. She looked and saw the craters in the ground caused by the Ice Warrior. Just then she saw something glinting in the crater. She looked with curiosity getting closer to the crater. Just then she felt a sudden jolt of power in her mind, similar to what she felt from the casket. She had found what she came here for.
She smirked in anticipation and was about to approach when suddenly her path was blocked by a shard of ice. She turned round and saw Elsa standing there with Olaf and Sven each with determined frowns on their faces.
"Now tell me where Anna is!" Elsa then demanded.
"She's of no concern to me my little Elsa, now that I have found what is mine." The Snow Queen smirked. "If you are smart you'll come to your senses before it's too late."
Elsa wondered what she was talking about, what had she found. Just then they felt a rather loud bang in the ground. They both looked up and saw Voltron standing above her wielding his sword.
"Okay Snow Queen where's Anna and Kristof?!" Hunk exclaimed from the Yellow Lion.
"I don't think she can here you Hunk." Lance said from the Red Lion.
The Snow Queen realised there was no likelyhood of recovering the object in the ground so she yelled in frustration and summoned a mighty storm of snow blinding both, Elsa, Sven, Olaf and Voltron. Suddenly Lotor's command ship had arrived and used its tractor beam to recover the Snow Queen.
"Its Lotor!" Allura exclaimed just seeing his ship from the Blue Lions cockpit. The ship flew away into the sky.
"He's getting away, we need to go after him!" Kieth exclaimed.
"No Kieth, we'll have to let them go." Allura suggested. "I know its hard but I have a feeling the Snow Queen attacked here for a reason not just Elsa, something is going on and we need to figure it out."
Kieth wanted to go after Lotor and stop him and the Snow Queen from escaping, but he remembered what happened the last time he went after Lotor unprepared. He knew when there was a time to fight and a time to regroup. This was the time.
"Alright." He sighed. "Lets get Elsa and the others then regroup back at the castle."
Allura nodded in agreement and looked back down to the forest floor from her lion, and saw Elsa looking up at them with a confident smile. Allura nodded in understanding with a rather proud smile of her own, knowing her friend had shown her courage.
Later that evening the Olkari had sent some of their scientists and people to help repair the damage done. A group of them touched the very roots around them and using their technorganic headsets interacted with the nature causing it to heal. Meanwhile another group was investigating the battle site. They were standing before the crater the Snow Queen was standing at before her escape. Ryner was present at the scene.
"Ryner." Called a voice and she turned to one of her scientists that accompanied her to the site.
"What is it is something wrong?" She asked.
"We may have found something in the crater, but well we're not sure what to make of it." The Olkari scientist 's curiosity was aroused, what had they found in the crater?
The Castle Of Lions:
"I..I'm sorry if I ran off like that Allura." Elsa apologised to Allura and the Paladins now on the bridge in their casual attire with Coran, Olaf and Sven. "I just wanted to find Anna so badly that…I forgot about everything else I just wanted to show I wasn't afraid. I'm sorry."
"Elsa." Allura said with an understanding hand on the Ice Queen shoulder. "Theres nothing to forgive, but while putting yourself at risk wasn't the wisest of strategies you handled yourself well."
"She's right, we're just glad your okay but we need to be careful we don't know the Snow Queens full capabilities if today was anything to go by." Kieth then said.
"I understand." Elsa said. "and I'm glad you came to look for me, you guys are well..your all the family I have now. I know Anna and Kristof may not be here but I'm glad at least that your still here for me." She said in gratitude.
That placed a warm smile on the Paladins faces even Kieth. "Well thats what family does, we look out for each other." Lance agreed.
"And no matter what happens next we're with you, even if it does take us through a crazy ice viking again." Hunk agreed to which Elsa gave a light giggle at.
"Anna was my sister too, we'll find her and stop this Snow Queen. Because we have the one thing she doesn't a real reason to fight." Pidge agreed. "Family."
Elsa had a warm smile on her face knowing that she was surrounded by those who love her and would be there for her through thick and thin. She then felt something hugging her leg. She looked down and saw Olaf was hugging her with a warm smile, and rubbing up against her arm was Sven stroking his head against her.
"And you two showed great courage coming to help me like that." Elsa chuckled to the reindeer and snowman.
"Well thats what you do for a friend." Olaf said. "Besides it was fun driving around in that tree ball!" Sven just grumbled rather unsure of that given how dizzy he was afterwards.
The Paladins all chuckled and laughed at that statement. Just then the Castles communication systems lit up with a message from Ryner. "Paladins come in." She called.
"Ryner what is it?" Pidge asked.
"We've found something in the craters of the battle, but we're unsure what to make of it." Ryner relayed. "Meet us in the lab."
Olkari lab:
Soon the Paladins, with Elsa, Coran, Olaf and Sven arrived in the lab. Ryner was present before an examination table. "Ryner did you find any clues to what the Snow Queen was doing here?" Allura asked.
"I'm afraid not, but we did uncover this." Ryner stepped aside and everyone looked startled.
For lying on the table was some kind of small staff like device. It was futuristic looking with a blue crystal in the top surrounded by curved white and gold metal lines on the staff. Pidge took a closer look at the staff with Hunk. They both examined it, and gasped recognising the lines and symbols.
"Allura, unless I'm mistaken..this looks like Altean technology." Pidge surmised.
"Yeah its just like the tech off the Castle of Lions." Hunk agreed.
"You're right it is from Altea." Allura agreed recognising her peoples craftsmanship anywhere. "However I do not recognise the design? Coran what do you think?"
When they turned to Coran however he was completely frozen in horror it was like he had just seen a ghost. "It…it can't be."
He slowly approached the artefact and the Paladins all looked with confused expressions. "Be what?" Lance asked.
"Coran what is this thing?" Elsa asked.
He looked at the device as he picked it up in his hand. Allura could tell by his expression he had seen this before. She was beginning to see something the Snow Queen said was beginning to ring true.
"Something I thought I'd never see again." He breathed in horror and shaking. Allura needed answers.
"The Snow Queen told me you were hiding something Coran." Allura said to him but he was too horrified to address her. "I didn't want to believe her, but you recognise this device….you know something about this what is it."
Coran took a breath and turned to the Altean Princess. "I'm sorry Allura, but I cannot tell you that."
Allura was taken aback as were Kieth, Lance, Hunk, Pidge, Elsa, Olaf, Sven and Ryner. Allura looked with a frowned expression. "Coran as the Princess of Altea I command you to tell me!"
"She has a point Coran." Kieth agreed. "If this is somehow connected to the Snow Queen we need to know why."
"It could help us find Anna and Kristof!" Elsa agreed.
"It won't." Coran said rather stern taking everyone by surprise. Coran closed his eyes in hesitance he knew he couldn't keep this in anymore. "I thought this day would never come…this…this was one of King Alfors darkest secrets."
Allura was more surprised than ever. "What my fathers…why wasn't I told?"
"You were only five when this happened princess." Coran explained. "I was sworn to secrecy to never tell anyone of the significant of this artefact… but given todays events. It's time I told you all."
"Told us what?" Lance asked.
"Yeah come on Coran tell us what is it?" Olaf asked and Sven snorted nodding in agreement. Coran looked at all the Paladins, Elsa, Olaf, and Sven before he spoke once more.
"The true story behind the histories of both Altea….. and Arendelle."
Authors notes: DUN DUN DUN! Well thats the best place to leave a cliff hanger there guys. Voltron has triumphed over the Snow Queens ice warrior and Elsa has found her courage to conquer her fears. You can expect to see her step up more in future chapters. Now as mentioned at the start of this story this was using inspired elements of the Once Upon a Time series during the Frozen segement of the series. Namely the ice warrior and the ice chains charged by ones fear.
But now a deeper revelation dawns, what could their recent discovery have to do with the Snow Queen? Well the questions left behind in the first story and the previous chapters of this one will now be shown. Until then
