At Kevin's Garage…
Kevin never thought he would be given lessons, let alone to a half-alien kid of Ben's which he proudly takes the title of uncle.
Iris, his little buddy was watching Kevin explain certain parts of a car and how an engine works in extraterrestrial locomotive. By the time this little girl gets her license, Kevin would have made her the car of her dreams. She will be ready to take care of it, fix it up and modify it. But until then, he will teach her the basics and make little trinkets she likes.
"Now see how the engine is running. Can you tell me what a car needs in order to work?" Kevin quizzed the little girl.
"Fuel, Fire, a-and air." She answered.
"Very good, and if your engine starts on fire, what do you do?"
"Umm… A fire extinguisher or baking soda."
"Right, which is why should always keep some on hand."
They were really getting far in their lessons on mechanics, now he just needed to convince Ben on getting this little girl and engine to practice taking apart and putting back together again and they can really get to the knit and gritty.
"Uncle Kevin, why do you wear a mask?"
Ah, there was that question. Iris knew what Kevin looked like and she was one of the few who never feared him or shy away from seeing his face. She was a good little girl. She didn't understand certain things, she was just a kid, and she didn't need to.
"Well, I don't like the way I look right now."
"But you shouldn't be ashamed, I think you're cool."
"Well, you're just a kid."
She still smiled at him, a smile like her father's. She really was Ben's kid, a goober who worked on helping others than themselves. He hopes she never falls into the same career as Ben, it was more a burden than a blessing.
Just then, Kevin's badge beeped and flash, and their lesson came to an end.
