Ch. 3: U~eitingu surū za naito

The scene shifts inside the one-story building where Komaru sighed in annoyance, after seeing Yasuhiro is up to his usual antics and she wished that they all leave this island and head back to the mainland and go home, but when she glanced at the window to look outside, and she stared wide-eyed as three bodies, mostly the lower parts, fell to the ground outside, its tissues and internal organs exposed whilst blood spilled onto the ground, and Komaru shrieked out loud, causing Satomi and Ayaka to check on Komaru, and there they saw the lower half of the corpses and the two idols screamed as well.

"EEEEEEKKKKK! ONII-CHAN!"

"GUYS! THERE'S SOMETHING HAPPENING OUTSIDE!"

"WHAT'S GOING ON?!"

"ONII-CHAN! ONII-CHAN!"

"SOMEONE OUTSIDE JUST GOT KILLED!"

"OH NO! MR. ISHIMARU WAS OUTSIDE JUST NOW!"

"ONII-CHAN! ONII-CHAN!"

"WE'RE CORNERED!"

"WE'RE GOING TO DIE!"

As Naegi glanced at the window and saw it, he had a bad feeling, and he and Kirigiri slightly opened the door and looked up, and were horrified at what they are seeing, as three GIANT dragonflies are hovering above, and three of them are holding the upper body parts of the two sailors and Takaki Ishimaru, and they are all dead.

"!"

"Damn…!"

"Inspector Ishimaru!"

"Quick…get inside, Naegi!"

"What's going on here?"

"We should discuss this inside before those giant bugs notice us!"

"Damn it…!"

Kirigiri and Makoto went back inside and told the others to stay here after telling them what happened, and everyone was alarmed at what they were just told, and couldn't believe that giant insects made their way here, though Kirigiri said that perhaps it is only the winged giant insects that made its way here and nothing more, yet she urged the rest to stay put for now as she would think of something to get the giant dragonflies to leave the area.

"All of you…stay here for now…I'll think of something that would help us out of this predicament…"

"Okay…"

The scene shows that three of the giant dragonflies are flying in the air and began eating the upper bodies of the corpses they caught, as the lifeless bodies of Takaki Ishimaru and the two sailors are slowly being consumed, and soon the two other giant dragonflies are hovering around to see if there are more preys they could find as they are now hungry and looking for anything moving so they could feast.

As Naegi observe the scene outside, he is pondering on whether to go outside and enter one of the depot buildings and look for something that would act as weapons, while Kirigiri glanced at a bookshelf where she saw that there are encyclopedia books on display, and there she grabbed one which is volume 4 which is about articles that begin with the letter D, and she began browsing the pages as she seem to have an idea.

The others glanced at Kirigiri as she scrolled through the pages until she came to a section which shows information about dragonflies and there she made a discovery as she called Naegi back inside and told everyone that dragonflies are active during the day and won't be out at night, hence everyone here will have to wait until evening arrive, which everyone here nodded in agreement.

"…and that's what we would do…we wait here until evening arrive. For now we should stay put and not venture outside, or else we would be snatched and get disemboweled. Understood?"

"Okay…"

As Naegi and Ohwada are securing the doors, they solemnly glanced outside where the upper body remains of Takaki Ishimaru and the two sailors dropped to the ground after the giant dragonflies are finished with their meals, and Ohwada was pissed off yet Naegi urged him to calm down.

"Damn it…I thought we are safe after we escaped that island…"

"Ohwada…"

"And now this…?"

"For now we should follow Kirigiri's advice. Of what she said is true…we might be able to escape and head back to the mainland…"

Hope you liked this chapter, as Kirigiri was able to discover that dragonflies are active during the day and would stay inactive at night, hence she is now leading an expedition whilst the dragonflies are it doing anything while the night is young.

Though, the rest of this chapter featured Enoshima and Yuta DOING SOMETHING STEAMY not knowing that Aoi and the rest of the survivors are here in this new island, hence it would be a matter of time before the Asahina siblings would reunite…
