Many thanks to those who read and reviewed this fic. I really appreciated it and this gave me inspiration to work on the next chapter and here Naegi is going to spend his the next days following the aftermath of performing a superhero act inside Hope's peak Superhero Academy…

And now he is on the verge of having his name removed the registry of Hope's Peak Superhero Academy unless he manage to take down a villain o do a superhero act…and this chapter will answer that question…

Ch. 12: Gakusei shujinkō to shite no saisho no tatakai

After several minutes of non-stop patrolling, Naegi came to a stop, as he got tired after finding nothing about any criminal activities, and he checked his watch and realized that he only has 10 minutes left before the academy closes, and he is becoming more and more worried.

What Naegi doesn't know that his constant search is unintentionally attracting attention and the public is startled and troubled by what Naegi is doing, and because he is a reserve course student of Hope's Peak Superhero Academy, which those in the reserve course are not widely known, they do not know that Naegi is a student and assumed that he is a troublemaker.

"Look at that…"

"What's with that getup?"

"Must be a maniac…"

"Kids these days…they always cause a stir…"

"He might molest me…"

"Someone better do something…"

"Get help…"

"Mommy…"

Despite the public becoming wary of him, Naegi is busy with other things. He hasn't done a hero job for a week, and has not even taken down a criminal, which further puts a risk of being expelled from Hope's Peak, and now he has to think of a way to solve this dilemma and partially wished that Kibo were here to help him out.

By then, the main course students from Hope's Peak who insulted Naegi earlier arrived and there the passerby recognized them and they pointed their fingers at Naegi, saying he is disturbing the peace and order of the streets, and they urged the main course students to beat him up and hand him over to the police.

"The heroes!"

"Quick! Get that pervert!"

"He's spooking us about!"

"Do something!"

"Before he lays a finger on us!"

"Please!"

"Help us!"

"Just get him!"

Naegi stared wide-eyed and explained himself, saying he just started in the academy, but the spooked passerby did not believe him as they said they never heard of him or saw him on social media, and even accuses him of pretending to be a Hope's Peak student just to solicit money, and the main course students (about four of them), said that as heroes from Hope's Peak, they will deal with the troublemaker and hand him over to the police, which the passerby cheered on and urged the main course students to show Naegi what happens to FAKERS using Hope's Peak Superhero Academy's name just to extort money and other illegal stuffs.

"Yeah!"

"Get him!"

"Teach that brat a lesson!"

"Show him who's the boss!"

"Throw that faker to jail!"

"Make him realize what happens if he tries to pretend to be a superhero from Hope's Peak!"

"Beat him up!"

"Make him regret it!"

Naegi whined as he has no time for this and checked his watch and realized that he only has five more minutes left, and now he is facing the possibility of getting expelled from Hope's Peak and that he would lose his only chance of earning income.

There the main course students approached him and began to shove him around, taunting him that he will be expelled because there are no crooks to catch, and it is a fitting way for a reserve course student to be kicked out as he deserved it.

"So what now, runt?"

"Whacha gonna do?"

"You'll be kicked out of Hope's Peak…"

"The academy is for REAL heroes…not zeroes from the reserve course…"

"And you'll go bye-bye, brat!"

"The public has spoken!"

"You're a nuisance!"

"And we'll take you out!"

Naegi sweat-dropped at this and tells them he has no time for this but the main course student further antagonizes him, saying that there is enough time for him to get expelled as there are no crooks around that that it is just right for Naegi to be expelled because reserve course students are nothing more than garbage for the main course students to clean up.

"Don't you get it?"

"You're a zero!"

"A failure!"

"It's because you landed on the reserve course!"

"So quit while you still can!"

"Go on!"

"Quit!"

"You loser!"

The passerby misunderstood what they saw and assumed that the main course students are doing a HEROIC JOB and urges the main course students to take down Naegi and bring him to the police so he won't bother anyone again.

"Yeah!"

"Get him!"

"Teach that brat a lesson!"

"Show him who's the boss!"

"Throw that faker to jail!"

"Make him realize what happens if he tries to pretend to be a superhero from Hope's Peak!"

"Beat him up!"

"Make him regret it!"

The main course students grinned as they are able to sway the public in their favor and continue to put up appearances, and as Naegi clenched his fists in frustration, LUCK appeared to be on his side as an unexpected interruption took place, as a pair of explosives were hurled at their feet, and the explosion took place, sending the four main course students upward before landing on an open trash bin, and the main course students moaned in disorientation.

"Oww…"

"Ohh…"

"That hurts…"

"What was that…?"

"M-mommy…"

"I think I'm in heaven…"

"Paradise…"

"Baby…"

Naegi looked around and saw what caused the explosion, as someone stood before him, sporting a murderous aura, and he is identified as Madarai, and there he said he is starting out his campaign of murder and states that the public will be the first to experience his AWESOME POWER, and the public became terrified at seeing the main course students getting foolishly defeated, and started to panic before fleeing.

"A BAD GUY!"

"HE'S GONNA KILL US!"

"SOMEONE HELP!"

"AAAIIIEEE!"

"RUN FOR YOUR LIVES!"

"CALL THE HEROES!"

"DO SOMETHING!"

"I DON'T WANT TO DIE!"

Madarai then lunges forward to claim a victim but Naegi stood in Madarai's way and attempted to pacify him, saying that what he is doing is wrong and he should be doing charity work or seek regular employment instead of harassing anyone he sees.

Madarai stared at Naegi and deem him a fool, and proclaim that the boy will be his first victim he would claim and will make an example to those who dare look down on him.

"You are a fool boy!"

"Huh?"

"You think mere words like that would sway me?"

"Actually…"

"Look at you…wearing a red pajama-like suit and a cape…you are a nuisance!"

"The truth is…"

"I will make you an example to show these fools what it's like to feel terror!"

"Oh boy…"

Some of the public who were too scared to run shouted at the main course students of Hope's Peak Superhero Academy, urging them to get up and deal with Madarai, believing that Naegi is not match as they do not believe that Naegi is also a superhero in training though the main course students remained knocked out as the public tried to rally them.

"Get up, heroes!"

"Quick! Get that psycho!"

"He's going to kill us!"

"Do something!"

"Before he lays a finger on us!"

"Please!"

"Help us!"

"Just get him!"

Unfortunately the main course students remained unconscious and the public are starting to despair as Madarai went forward and brandishes his bladed weapons and is poised to slash his target to pieces and then do the same to the public.

The public started to scream as they believe that Naegi is about to be hacked and slashed to death and tells the boy to run for it if he doesn't want to get killed off in cold blood and die a senseless death.

"You kid! What are you standing there?"

"Run!"

"You'll get yourself killed!"

"Run! You're not a hero!"

"Too late! He's about to be sliced!"

"Does he want to die?"

"Run away, kid!"

"Get out of the way!"

However Naegi himself did not know how to react but upon seeing Madarai coming closer, Naegi responded by instinct and did a forward punch, hitting the attacker square on the face, sending Madarai crashing against a parked car which got wrecked but leaves the attacker knocked out.

Peace is restored and the public were astonished to see that an UNKNOWN has just defeated a potential criminal and wondered who Naegi is, and are divided on whether he is telling the truth that he just started as a student at Hope's Peak Superhero Academy.

"Is he for real?"

"Did he do that?"

"Maybe he is a hero from Hope's Peak…"

"I bet it's just a fluke!"

"But he punched the attacker out cold!"

"Yeah…"

"I bet he used cheating means…"

"Shut up, will you?"

Soon police arrived and took Madarai away while the four main course students are loaded inside the ambulances as one of the cops interrogated Naegi, and he could not believe that Naegi is a Hope's Peak student and managed to defeat the suspect in just ONE PUNCH.

This is because Naegi is wearing the RED SUIT which gives him super powers. Hence the reason why he easily defeated Madarai.

Naegi honestly answered the questions while explaining why he happened to be in this area, and yet the cop seemed to be unwilling to take the boy's word for it and suspecting him of attempting to cash in on the craze and pretending to be a hero, and said that Naegi has to come along for questioning, much to the boy's exasperation.

"Seriously?"

"Yes."

"I already told you! I'm a student of Hope's Peak Superhero Academy!"

"If you are, then your name should've been on the websites…"

"I just started…"

"Sorry, but you'll have to come with me. Otherwise you'll be labeled as a PERSON OF INTEREST…"

"You're crazy!"

"Come on, kid…"

However, the other cop came and reprimand the fellow cop for his actions and said he interviewed eyewitnesses and confirmed that Naegi stopped Madarai and even called Hope's Peak for confirmation and said that Naegi is indeed a student there, and therefore Naegi is clear of any wrongdoings, much to the other cop's dismay.

"What?"

"You heard me…this kid studies at Hope's Peak…hence a hero in the making student…"

"For real? This kid?"

"Yes."

"I don't buy it."

"You can call Hope's peak if you want conformation."

"…"

"…"

After that Naegi is let go and soon everything is under control, while Naegi heads off to Hope's Peak to submit his report, unaware that it is already past 17:00.

Hope you liked this chapter, as Naegi finally get to do a superhero stuff, though briefly as he nailed his first MAJOR villain. Madarai from Danganronpa ZERO appeared here and is portrayed as a DEBUTING villain, but is quickly taken down by the SUPER-POWERED Luckster…
