Many thanks to those who read and reviewed this fic. I really appreciated it and this gave me inspiration to work on the next chapter and here the situation intensifies as both Naegi and Kibo are being confronted by hostile students in the main course department of Hope's peak, as they took offense over the fact that a Main Course student is FRATERNIZING with a Reserve course student…

And now things would threaten to blow off…

Well then, read on and enjoy!

Ch. 17: Taiketsu part 4

As word spread that some main course students ae now confronting Naegi and Kibo, the members of the Steering Committee are now thinking of using the situation in their favor and see if they can find an excuse to get Naegi expelled from Hope's Peak, as they still deem him an eyesore as well as believing that his presence may have CORRUPTED deserving students like Kibo.

The members decided to split up and see where this lead to, with the first half to oversee Kibo's actions and the other on Naegi. They agreed to se if they can find some loophole and come up with a convincing way to have Naegi expelled.

"We need to see this…"

"And hope we find this Naegi…"

"Yeah…he's an eyesore…"

"If we can manage to find something…we can have an excuse to expel that Naegi…"

"Sounds good…"

"Yeah…"

"Come on!"

"Right!"

As the Steering Committee members split up, they did not notice that Kizakura is secretly watching them, and he adjusted his hat and expressed disappointment.

"Those Steering idiots…"

The rest of the student body have also gotten the gist of what is about to happen, and are curious to know what Kibo saw in Naegi and why the cyborg hero student is associated with a reserve course student like Naegi, and they couldn't help but wonder what Naegi is like, and expressed interest in finding out what this boy is like and why a main course student like Kibo would hang out with him, unaware that even Maizono wants to hang out with him.

"Makoto Naegi…"

"Isn't he…?"

"He's in the reserve course…"

"Why would Kibo hang out with him…?"

"There's something about that Naegi…"

"Is he really a bad influence…?"

"Beats me…"

"…"

Suddenly one of the student body members came and told the leader of the student council that a confrontation is about to take place as some main course students are seen confronting Kibo, and the council president sighed as he cannot afford to let violence erupt within Hope's Peak Academy, and told the council members to assist him in quelling the mob students.

"Come on. we're going!"

"Huh?"

"Where?"

"Which way?"

"We stop those mob…if word got out it'll cause problems of the school!"

"I see…"

"He's right…"

"Yeah."

"Come on!"

The student council members joined their president as they are going to quell off the violence and try to restore order to prevent an incident like this from spiraling out of control and not give the media a bad image that could tarnish Hope's Peak Academy's reputation.

"Yes, president!"

"Yes, president!"

"Yes, president!"

"Yes, president!"

"Yes, president!"

"Yes, president!"

"Yes, president!"

"Yes, president!"

Meanwhile, the scene shifts at the hallway, where the main course students twitched their eyes at being told off and did not like the fact that Kibo is thinking highly about Naegi, which one of the students grabbed Kibo by his collar, reminding him that reserve course students have no place in Hope's Peak and tells Kibo to start distancing himself from Naegi or he would be deemed a threat.

Kibo responded that the main course students are the threats because of their antics and even questioned if the main course students are aspiring heroes or just school bullies, which the students were taken aback at what the teen cyborg said.

"Wh-what…?"

"Hey!"

"What did you say..?"

"You heard me. Are you aspiring to become pro heroes…or do you want to become school bullies and villains?"

"How…how dare you!"

"Who do you think you are?"

"Don't act like you're a big shot now!"

"It is you who went over your head. You want to force a reserve course student out of Hope's Peak just because you deem him a trash, because he wanted to ascend to the Main course through efforts. You want to ruin one's dreams because you feel that you are superior over others."

The students then huddled as they formulate a plan to do something about this, seeing that Kibo would not listen to reason and they came to an agreement that Naegi should be taken care of and get him to leave Hope's Peak, and suggested that they frame him for a crime so as to give Hope's Peak officials a reason to expel him.

The students seemingly agreed to this ploy, not realizing that Kibo overhead the conversation with the students.

"So, what do you say…?"

"Sounds good…"

"I agree…"

"I'm in!"

"Let's do it!"

"Yeah!"

"For the main course!"

"Right!"

However Kibo raised his hand and a light emanated, which the teen cyborg tells them that he will not let them have their way and warned them that if they proceed with their plans he will beat them up whether he would get into trouble or not.

The students stared wide-eyed seeing that Kibo is serious.

"What the…?"

"Damn!"

"He's serious!"

"That guy's really crazy!"

"And it's all Naegi's fault!"

"We got to do something!"

"Get ready! We'll have to beat some sense into this idiot!"

"Sounds fine with me!"

Other hero students who passed by saw and overheard the conversation and are conflicted on whether to intervene or not, unsure about this and wondered if this is worth the effort since they are not directly involved with either party, and wondered what kind of charisma Naegi has, seeing that a main course student is defending a reserve course student.

"This is conflicting…"

"All because of this reserve course student?"

"Makoto Naegi…"

"Just who is he…?"

"Why would a main course student want to defend a reserve course student like Naegi…"

"Yeah…"

"What does he have?"

"…"

As the hostile main course students are ready to charge toward Kibo, the student council members arrived and ordered the hostile students to cease their attack, and ordered them to disperse, saying that unjustified violence has no place in Hope's Peak Academy.

However, the mob insists that it is their duty to EDUCATE Kibo because of the perceived threat that Naegi pose to the main course students, but the student council president said that he sees no indication that Naegi is deemed a threat, and thus the mob has no right in deciding which students choose their friends and told them to leave Kibo and Naegi alone.

The mob twitched their eyes as they couldn't believe that even the student council is defending Naegi, and the mob students are faced with the dilemma that if they press on with PHYSICALLY CONFRONTING Kibo, they might face either suspension or expulsion.

"Damn…"

"Even the student council…"

"This is bad…"

"What now?"

"Boss!"

"Damn it…"

"It's all because of that Naegi…"

"…"

Left with no choice, the mob dispersed, and the student council president asked Kibo if he is okay, and the teen cyborg nodded and thanked him for the timely intervention, which the student council president said it is nothing, reasoning that it is his duty.

"I really appreciate it."

"Think nothing of it."

"…"

"It's a good thing you held back."

"Yeah."

"It would be a problem if…"

"I understand."

"Now then…"

He then told Kibo to be careful and only resort to violence if extreme circumstances call for it, saying that Kibo can't risk getting suspended over something like this, but Kibo said that mob students forced him into this situation because of their unjustified bias towards Naegi because of the fact that he is on the reserve course.

The council members watched on as they noted that Kibo is seemingly calm and that he thinks highly of Naegi, and this made them curious if they should see Naegi and judge for themselves whether he is deserving to be transferred to the main course of Hope's Peak Academy.

"This is conflicting…"

"All because of this reserve course student?"

"Makoto Naegi…"

"Just who is he…?"

"Why would a main course student want to defend a reserve course student like Naegi…"

"Yeah…"

"What does he have?"

"…"

As Kibo and the student council president are talking, they did not notice that members of the Steering Committee are secretly watching the scene, and they felt that Naegi must be expelled because even the student council president appeared to be interested in Naegi, and they feel that Naegi's very presence is INFECTING anyone within the Main Course of Hope's Peak Academy.

"Damn…"

"Even the student council…"

"This is bad…if things keep up…"

"What now?"

"Boss! We got to do something!"

"Damn it…that Naegi is starting to bug me…!"

"It's all because of that Naegi…"

"…"

To Be Continued...

Hope you liked this chapter, as Kibo stood by his ground and not let others dictate his life, whilst taking offense at the main course students who want to harass Naegi into quitting, and now a fight is about to commence as the teen cyborg is about to put the bullies in their places for their attempt to frame Naegi for a crime he never committed.

Fortunately, it did not happen as the student council intervened and had the mob dispersed.

While Naegi is absent in this chapter, he will appear in the next chapter…
