I really appreciated it and this gave me inspiration to work on the next chapter and here the situation gets intense as the student council appeared to be intrigued about Naegi…and their imminent first meeting is fast approaching…though there might be a slight delay…

Ch. 23: Naegi to seito-kai part 2
Hours later, after classes, Naegi is seen standing outside the building of the main course of Hope's Peak Superhero Academy, and he took a deep breath as he sets foot to enter, but then he is confronted by some of the main course students who objected to the fact that a reserve course student intend to enter here and tells him he is not allowed.
"Stop!"
"Hold it right there!"
"You're not going in!"
"No reserve course students allowed!"
"You're not allowed in this building!"
"Those without TALENT shouldn't be here!"
"You're disgusting!"
"An embarrassment!"
They became irritated when told that the student council wished to speak to him but they believe that Naegi is lying and they are getting ready to fight him off just to prevent a PARASITE from entering the main course building and made it clear that the main course building is off-limits to reserve course students.
"No trashes allowed!"
"And that means the reserve course!"
"We don't want you here!"
"Get lost!"
"You're a disgrace!"
"An eyesore!"
"You have no right coming here!"
"Leave now or we beat you up!"
Suddenly, Kibo and Maizono showed up and stood in front of Naegi, telling their fellow main course students to stop harassing Naegi and to leave him alone, as he hasn't done anything to cause trouble here, and when Kibo asked why Naegi is here, he realized that the student council is serious about speaking to Naegi, and he tells him to go see them at once.
Naegi nodded as he proceeded to enter, but as the main course students started to act hostile and poised to stop Naegi, Kibo and Maizono blocked their path and said that if the main course students are insistent in harassing Naegi, then they will fight them off as protecting the defenseless is also part of being a pro hero.
"Stop right there!"
"Leave Naegi-kun alone!"
"He never cause any trouble, yet you acted hostile because he is from the reserve course!"
"You lot are a disgrace for picking on a boy who haven't done anything to you!"
"But if you insist on harming Naegi-sensei…I will fight you!"
"Same goes for me!"
"So either you stop this foolishness…"
"…or we will be forced to face you!"
The main course students were irritated at seeing that their fellow main course schoolmates are seemingly INFECTED by a mere reserve course student, and one of them spoke and urged his fellow students to PROTECT Hope's Peak by beating up Naegi if necessary, and said that if anyone attempt to vouch for a reserve course student will be labeled an enemy, which the others seemingly agreed, swayed by his words.

Maizono and Kibo sensed that the main course students are becoming hostile and tells her to be ready, seeing that the students are bent on harassing Naegi no matter what, and said that if the headmaster asks questions they will explain what really happened as their actions are based on self-defense and to prevent the hostile main course students from unjustly assaulting Naegi.
Maizono nodded and tells Kibo that he shouldn't hold back as she pointed that the hostile main course students are poised to use their TALENTS to attack, and said that there's no turning back now as she and Kibo are protecting Naegi.
"So in other words…"
"Don't hold back, Kibo..."
"Then I should go all-out?"
"Yes."
"…"
"We're doing this to protect Naegi."
"Okay. I understood."
"Good."
The hostile main course students were pissed off seeing that Maizono and Kibo have DEGRADED themselves as they chose to side with a trash like Naegi and he urged his fellow students to think Maizono and Kibo as garbage that must be disposed, as the two are not worthy to be main course students of Hope's Peak Superhero Academy.
The other Main Course students nodded in agreement, seeing that their fellow schoolmate is right.

As both Maizono and Kibo braced themselves as the hostile main course students are ready to deliver the first attack, the headmaster showed up and shouted, ordering the students to stop their actions, and the hostile main course students were forced to stop, and there Jin Kirigiri demanded to know what is going on here and why are they about to engage in a brawl.
Kibo stepped forward and explained the situation, with Maizono backing up his claim, and there the headmaster glanced at the other students, seeing that they couldn't come up with an alibi to explain their actions, confirming what Kibo and Maizono said, and he told the students involved that their actions are tantamount to delinquency, hence they will be suspended for three weeks, and they will submit a written apology after.
The students were dismayed and tried to appeal, as they were unwilling to admit their actions even though they were guilty.
"I AM SORRY!"
"FORGIVE US!"
"WE DIDN'T MEAN TO!"
"SPARE US!"
"FORGIVE US!"
"THE YOUKAI MADE ME DO IT!"
"PLEASE FORGIVE US!"
"WE'LL DO ANYTHING!"
Jin glared and gave the students an ultimatum: accept the punishment or face expulsion, and the students twitched their eyes as they were forced to accept the ultimatum and reluctantly left the building, yet they can be heard mumbling, blaming Naegi for their current predicament and vowed to make him pay for the humiliation that they got.
"Damn…"
"I can't believe this…"
"Makoto Naegi...he is to be blamed…"
"He is the root cause…"
"I hate him…"
"He must be kicked out no matter what…"
"He's gonna be sorry…"
"He'll regret this…"
As the hostile students left, Jin told Maizono and Kibo to avoid unnecessary fights if possible, and urged them to tell him if a situation is about to happen so that he can address it and prevent a problem from happening, yet he thanked the two for stalling the hostile students which gave him time to arrive. He then told the two to attend classes as he said that he will send Kizakura to check on Naegi.
The two teens glanced at each other and asked if Naegi would be okay, and the headmaster assured that no harm will come to Naegi, which puts Maizono and Kibo at ease and said that they will do what he said and thanked him, which Jin said it is nothing.
Taking the headmaster's word for it, Maizono and Kibo took their leave as Jin head back to his office and intend to instruct someone to watch over Naegi as the student is on his way to meet with the student council, and hoped that there won't be any more hostile students who resent the reserve course for a petty reason.
He then picked up his smartphone and contacted Kizakura, where he instructed him to keep watch on Naegi, telling where the boy went and to use force if necessary should another detractor attempt to harass the boy despite the presence of the student council.
Kizakura sighed, saying that Naegi has the TALENT to deal with bullies, but Jin said that he will not let detractors have their way under his watch and requested that Kizakura do as told, and the teacher reluctantly complied.
"Sorry, but I'm afraid I will have to ask you to do as I requested, Kizakura."
"Seriously…you should let Naegi deal with those…"
"Can't…I would not let unwarranted violence break out here…"
"For real…?"
"Will you…?"
"Oh, fine."
"Thank you."
"You owe me a drink."

Minutes later, the scene shifts outside the room of the student council office and Naegi took a deep breath and knocked on the door, where one of the student council members opened the door and glanced at Naegi from head to toe, and felt a bit unimpressed as he finally get to see him in the flesh.
He finds Naegi too ordinary despite him wearing the academy uniform, and felt that he is nothing special, but is intrigued at how he is able to gain the headmaster's attention while managing to befriend two main course students.
Nevertheless, he began asking Naegi if he is the one, which Naegi nodded and said that he is here because the student council summoned him, and the student council member glanced at the other boy, still unsure if Naegi is really worth their time.
"So…"
"Hmm…?"
"What do you think?"
"Well…"
"This kid…is he…?"
"Can't say for sure…"
"Makes me wonder why the president is fixated over this guy…"
"Beats me…"
The student council president watches on, as he gets a glance of Naegi, looking rather intrigued, while the student council members are whispering amongst themselves as they wondered what would they do next now that Naegi is here, and felt that after all this time, they are still baffled as to why they went to all the trouble just to summon him here.
"Is that…?"
"Looks like him…"
"So…that is Naegi…"
"He looked so plain…"
"Now that he is here…"
"I can't believe that we went all the trouble just for this…"
"I agree."
"What is the president thinking…?"

Hope you liked this chapter, in which Naegi became a hot topic, as he left a good impression from the headmaster and the student council, but the steering committee are determined to keep him from getting promoted to the main course, as they failed to prevent him from barring Naegi from entering Hope's Peak.
Some of the Main Course students are having the same mindset and are ready to kick Naegi out, only for Kibo and Maizono to help their friend…
Thankfully the headmaster showed up and quelled the would-be violence and things went back to normal...
The student council finally meet Naegi...thus the stage is set as they are about to judge whether Naegi is worthy of their time or not...
