I really appreciated it and this gave me inspiration to work on the next chapter and here the situation gets intense as the student council appeared to be intrigued about Naegi…and their imminent first meeting is fast approaching…though there might be a slight delay…

Ch. 24: Naegi to seito-kai part 3
Minutes later, the scene shows that Kibo and Maizono are still at the hallway of the main course building, as they are wondering if Naegi would be okay after what happened earlier, and Maizono wondered why so many main course students are acting hostile towards Naegi as he did not do anything bad to them.
Kibo reasoned that someone may have fed the main course students with a belief that reserve course students are beneath the main course students and believed that the higher-ups within Hope's Peak Superhero Academy must have indoctrinated the main course students with this belief, hence the main course students were hostile to any reserve course students they see on sight.
"Eh? Are you sure?"
"Based on my experience. I encountered a lot, and they questioned me why am I hanging out with a reserve course student like Naegi-sensei. The way they questioned me reek of malice, and it is definite that this institution wanted to maintain the status quo of that the reserve course is inferior to the main course."
"That's cruel and harsh!"
"I couldn't agree more."
"Naegi-kun doesn't deserve such treatment!"
"I feel the same way."
"Still…"
"…"
Maizono felt that this is unfair as she believed that anyone deserved a chance, and there she suggested to Kibo that they pay the student council a visit and see if Naegi is being treated well, which Kibo agreed to the suggestion.
"The student council…the one who summoned Naegi-sensei…"
"We should go there and check!"
"From my previous encounter…the student council doesn't seem to harbor any malice towards Naegi-sensei…"
"Still we should check just to see that he isn't being harassed…"
"I…very well…"
"Then let's go."
"…"
"…"

Meanwhile, the scene shifts outside the room of the student council office and there you can see Naegi standing outside and took a deep breath and knocked on the door, where one of the student council members opened the door and glanced at Naegi from head to toe, and felt a bit unimpressed as he finally get to see him in the flesh.
He finds Naegi too ordinary despite him wearing the academy uniform, and felt that he is nothing special, but is intrigued at how he is able to gain the headmaster's attention while managing to befriend two main course students.
Nevertheless, he began asking Naegi if he is the one, which Naegi nodded and said that he is here because the student council summoned him, and the student council member glanced at the other boy, still unsure if Naegi is really worth their time.
"So…"
"Hmm…?"
"What do you think?"
"Well…"
"This kid…is he…?"
"Can't say for sure…"
"Makes me wonder why the president is fixated over this guy…"
"Beats me…"
The student council president watches on, as he gets a glance of Naegi, looking rather intrigued, while the student council members are whispering amongst themselves as they wondered what would they do next now that Naegi is here, and felt that after all this time, they are still baffled as to why they went to all the trouble just to summon him here.
"Is that…?"
"Looks like him…"
"So…that is Naegi…"
"He looked so plain…"
"Now that he is here…"
"I can't believe that we went all the trouble just for this…"
"I agree."
"What is the president thinking…?"
Naegi sweat-dropped at seeing the council members whispering at each other and he wondered if he did the right thing in coming here, as he only knows that he was summoned here for a reason, yet he felt that the council members seemingly lost interest in him and are giving Naegi the cold shoulders, yet he patiently waited to see where this would lead to.
The student council president continued to observe Naegi, and the vice president whispered and asked what would they do next, as the council members are starting to lose interest in Naegi and might entertain the idea banning him from going to the main course building, but the council president said that it won't happen as he decided to have a word with Naegi and see if he is worth the time and effort.
"Are you sure, president?"
"Yes."
"But…what do you see in that boy?"
"Something that piqued my curiosity."
"But look at him…he looked so ordinary…nothing worth…"
"There is. Remember…he was able to score some credits and even took down a villain. On top of that, he managed to befriend two main course students. That alone made me want to know about Mr. Naegi."
"President…"
"Therefore…this should at least be interesting…"
As Naegi await the council president's move, two members of the Steering Committee showed up, and are equally appalled at seeing a reserve course student inside the main course building and are using their position to intimidate the teen boy into leaving.
Naegi stood his ground and said that he has not committed anything and that the student council summoned him here but the two Steering Committee members were unwilling to listen and ordered him to leave the building at once.
"You listen here, kid…"
"You're not allowed here."
"Why? I already…"
"This building is only for main course students. Not reserve course."
"And therefore you're off-limits."
"Unfortunately, I won't comply. I haven't committed any violations, and that the student council summoned me here for a reason, therefore I won't leave."
"What was that?"
"You ought to know your place, kid!"
"…"
The two Steering Committee members were pissed as Naegi wasn't intimidated and are about to call for the guards to have him thrown out, but the student council president showed up and told the two to leave Naegi alone, saying that he summoned Naegi here for a reason.
The two Steering Committee members were surprised to see that even the student council president is now coming to the defense of the reserve course student and tried to discreetly convince him that reserve course students are not worth the time for the student council, hence there is no need and no reason to invite Naegi here.
However, the student council president reiterated that Naegi is still a student of Hope's Peak Superhero Academy, hence he has a reason to invite a student here, whether the student is in the main course or in the reserve course.
"And that is my decision. This boy stays."
"What?"
"But…"
"We, at the student council oversee everything within the whole campus, and thus we have jurisdiction over the students, be it the main course or the reserve course. So I may ask you to stop harassing this boy and leave."
"Do you have any idea what you're doing?"
"This kid is not worth your time!"
"For me it is. So please leave now as I have an appointment with Mr. Naegi."
"…"
"…"
The other members of the student council were surprised to see that the president is going an extra mile just to cover for Naegi, and that Naegi himself wasn't intimidated by the Steering Committee members, and now they are conflicted if Naegi is really worth their time or not.
"That kid…he…"
"Makoto Naegi…he is calm in the face of adversity…"
"What does the president see in him…?"
"Does he really believe that Naegi can make it to the main course…?"
"I am conflicted…"
"Me too."
"What should we do…?"
"No idea…"
Meanwhile, the two Steering Committee members were aghast to see that the student council president wouldn't budge as he insisted that he is going to entertain a reserve course student like Naegi, and they attempted to dissuade the student council president from entertaining Naegi but he wouldn't be swayed by the two Steering Committee members.
"And once again I say this…Makoto Naegi stays, and that is my decision. Nothing more, nothing less."
"What?"
"But…"
"You should know already…that we, at the student council, oversee everything within the whole campus, and thus we have jurisdiction over the students, be it the main course or the reserve course. We do not discriminate, thus there is no reason for me to throw this boy out just because he is a reserve course student."
"Please think about it! Do you have any idea what you're doing?"
"Trust us! You must know that this kid is not worth your time!"
"For me it is. So please leave now as I have an appointment with Mr. Naegi…as we are already behind schedule…"
"…"
"…"
By then two more members of the Steering Committee arrived, and seeing what is transpiring, they approached Naegi and discreetly ordered him to leave the main course building, saying that the building is only for the main course students and reserve course students are off-limits, but Naegi stood his ground, saying that the student council president invited him to come here and that he wanted to have a word with him.
Naegi also said that he did not see any reason for him to be told to leave since he did not violate anything and that this is Hope's Peak, hence there is no reason for him to be told to leave for now reason, which drew the ire of the Steering Committee members.
"What?"
"The nerve!"
"Insolent brat!"
"You ought to be expelled!"
"We should expel him!"
"Right!"
"Immediately!"
"At once!"
The student council president then stepped in and stood in front of Naegi and told the Steering Committee members to leave the reserve course student alone, as he stated that he was the one who summoned Naegi and thus the committee members have no right pushing the boy away if they have no justifiable reason, and tells them that the headmaster gave permission and therefore Naegi will stay here until the student council's business with Naegi is done.
The four Steering Committee members could not believe what they are seeing, and felt insulted that a mere reserve course student would be given such treatment from a student body of the main course students, and they insisted that Naegi cannot stay here as they stated that only main course students are allowed in this building.
By then Kibo and Maizono showed up, having deduced that the Steering Committee members would try to harass Naegi and the two main course students are now coming to Naegi's defense and told the committee members to leave Naegi alone or there will be trouble here, as the teen cyborg is ready to unleash his weapons, much to the committee members' disbelief.
"A fair warning…leave now. Or there will be hell to pay."
"!"
"!"
"!"
"So you better not force my hand. Leave Naegi-sensei alone."
"!"
"!"
"!"
By then the student council members decided to stand with their president and confronted the Steering Committee members and told them to leave at once, saying that they are disrupting the peace of Hope's Peak and said that the president made his decision to speak with Naegi and it is final.
"Please leave."
"Please leave."

Hope you liked this chapter, in which Naegi became a hot topic, as he earned the ire of the Steering Committee members because of his presence inside the building of the main course of Hope's Peak Superhero Academy.
Things got tense as the committee members get into a conflict with the student council as they finally decided to defend Naegi…
