Many thanks to those who read and reviewed this fic. I really appreciated it and this gave me inspiration to work on the next chapter and here the situation gets intense as the student council arc concluded, yet Naegi gets a bit if trouble as hostile main course students are now determined to chase him out of Hope's Peak Superhero Academy…

And now Kibo and Maizono are about to get involved…

Well then, read on and enjoy!

Ch. 26: Meinkōsubiru-nai no kinsetsu

At the student council room, the student council president is seen smirking, as he felt that his recently-concluded INTERVIEW with Naegi was worth the time and effort, as he had to admit, he was impressed at how his interview with Naegi went, as the reserve course student has somewhat piqued the student council president's interest.

The student council members saw the president smirking to himself, and they were there when the interview took place, and they too were surprised at seeing how Naegi handled himself and that he did not exhibit any hints of arrogance. Just simple humility and normal grace.

"The president is in high spirits…"

"And pleased too…"

"Makoto Naegi is the reason for this."

"I never thought that a reserve course student would be so…graceful. In attitude and poise…"

"Me too. I thought that this Naegi is full of himself."

"Perhaps Naegi's grounded disposition could be the reason why the president is impressed with that boy."

"Really?"

"You think so…?"

The student council members wondered if this would be among the factors that would warrant in having Naegi get transferred to the main course, as something like this has never happened before, and after learning of Naegi's recent exploits, the council members are somewhat divided if Naegi is deserving of being offered a slot at the main course of Hope's Peak Superhero Academy.

"So, my fellow council members…what do you think? Do you believe that Makoto Naegi deserve a slot at the main course department…?"

"Huh?"

"What?"

"Are you serious?"

"That boy…?"

"I am unsure…"

"Are you certain that this Naegi has what it takes to be a main course student…?"

"But what if he is…"

Suddenly, one of their fellow student council members came and informed them that a group of main course students are poised to assault Naegi, and then said that the situation somewhat escalated as Maizono and Kibo are coming to Naegi's defense.

The student council members are surprised to hear this and wondered what to do, whether to intervene or not, but the student council president raised a hand and tells them there is no need to get involved, saying that things will turn out fine and assured that Naegi will be fine and dandy.

The student council members stared at each other and asked the student council president if he is sure about this, and after being told that everything will be okay, the council members reluctantly abide with the student council president's word.

"Yes, president."

"Yes, president."

"Yes, president."

"Yes, president."

"Yes, president."

"Yes, president."

"Yes, president."

"Yes, president."

Meanwhile, the Steering Committee members got word that a possible brawl is about to take place, and that Naegi is somewhat involved, and there the committee members sees this as an opportunity to use this as an excuse to have Naegi expelled for inciting violence, thus ridding a possible SCANDAL that they deem as they find it unacceptable that a reserve course student is seen as a candidate to be transferred to the main course of Hope's Peak Superhero Academy.

"This could be our chance! We now have a way to have that brat expelled! Are you with me, gentlemen?"

"Yes!"

"Yes!"

"Yes!"

"Yes!"

"Yes!"

"Yes!"

"Yes!"

However, they got word that Maizono and Kibo are also getting involved and are coming to Naegi's defense, and there the committee members came up with ideas and soon came to an agreement and are now set to head for the scene of the incident, and are looking forward to have Naegi forcefully expelled, then use this as an example to intimidate the reserve course students into submission and make them realize that they have no right to be scouted to the main course of Hope's Peak Superhero Academy.

"Then everything is set! Are you gentlemen with me on this?"

"Yes!"

"Yes!"

"Yes!"

"Then let us get going! The image of Hope's Peak Superhero Academy lies within us!"

"Yes!"

"Yes!"

"Yes!"

Meanwhile, the arrogant students were really pissed seeing that Kibo and Maizono, two main course students, would stoop this low by defending a reserve course student like Naegi, and felt that the aforementioned two students are not worthy of being main course students, hence the one leading the revolt urged his classmates to teach the two a lesson, that those who befriend a lowly reserve course student should be weeded out.

The arrogant students were swayed and agreed, and are now ready to attack Naegi, Kibo and Maizono, not caring anymore about anything other than protecting the image of Hope's Peak Superhero Academy, and they all roared in agreement that Naegi must be booted out, along with those siding with the reserve course student.

"We must act now! We must protect the image of Hope's Peak! Let us revolt!"

"Right!"

"Right!"

"Right!"

"We should teach the infidels to know their places!"

"Right!"

"Right!"

"Right!"

Naegi clenched his fists as he realized that the arrogant main course students are getting serious and tells Kibo and Maizono to stay back, reasoning that he is the one targeted and he doesn't want anyone get dragged in because of him.

However, Kibo and Maizono told Naegi that they are not going to see a friend get beaten up and are willing to risk anything just to help a good friend, saying that Naegi is an important friend to them.

"No, Naegi-sensei…we'll stand with you."

"We won't let them have their way with you."

"You are important to us because you're our friend."

"And friends help one another."

"So don't try taking the burden by yourself, Naegi-sensei."

"We will help you out."

"And we believe that you deserve a slot at the main course department."

"And rightfully so."

Hearing Maizono and Kibo's speech further irritated the arrogant main course students and branded the two teens as traitors for fraternizing with a lowly reserve course and proclaim that as the PURE-BLOODED students of Hope's Peak Superhero Academy, they will EXORCIZE the IMPURITIES that taint the academy and the leader of the mob drew the first attack and uses his power to strike Naegi, knocking him to the floor.

Maizono helps Naegi up and asked him if he is okay, worried that he might have gotten hurt yet he assured to her that he is okay and she has nothing to worry about, yet tells her not to get involved or she herself might get caught in the conflict but she insisted that she will stand by his side no matter what.

"But, Maizono-san…"

"Its okay."

"…"

"I can handle this."

"But you might…"

"Don't worry. I got this."

"Maizono-san…"

"…"

As the leader motivated the mob students to strike, they all charged forward and are aiming for Naegi, but Kibo uses his cybernetic body hold some of them at bay but some managed to get past the teen cyborg and are now going straight for their target, intent on harming him in any way they deem fit.

This prompted Maizono to use her power and sang a song, which caused some to get entranced and stopped on their tracks, yet a few others managed to put ear plugs and got past her defenses before they proceeded to beat up Naegi, and there the students urged one another to keep it up until Naegi submits and scare him to the point where he would willingly quit Hope's Peak Superhero Academy.

"Beat him up! Beat him up until he is discouraged and that will make him leave Hope's Peak!"

"Okay!"

"Okay!"

"Okay!"

"Okay!"

"Okay!"

"Okay!"

"Okay!"

However, because of the fact that Naegi is wearing the red suit underneath his academy uniform, it protected him and he shoved the attackers back, sending them colliding against the wall and they were surprised to see that he has powers, unaware that it is due to the red suit he is secretly wearing.

The mob leader urged his fellow classmates to keep it up and ensure that Naegi must not set foot in the main course building, which the others roared in acknowledgement.

"Okay!"

"Okay!"

"Okay!"

"Okay!"

"Okay!"

"Okay!"

"Okay!"

"Okay!"

Naegi pleaded to the arrogant main course students to stop this, saying that he is also a student and would not engage in such petty quarrel, yet the arrogant main course students insisted that Naegi has no right and have no place in the main course department of Hope's Peak Superhero Academy.

By then the Steering Committee members showed up and berated Naegi for the violence he committed and even made it appear that he is now causing an insurrection by attacking the main course students, and the arrogant main course students rode along with the Steering Committee members and accused Naegi of the violence he committed.

They then urged the Steering Committee members to have Naegi expelled at once.

"Expel him!"

"Expel him!"

"Expel him!"

"Expel him!"

"Expel him!"

"Expel him!"

"Expel him!"

"Expel him!"

The Steering Committee members decreed that Naegi be expelled and never be re-admitted here, but Maizono and Kibo stood in front of the beleaguered boy and accused the Steering Committee members for their bias as they did not even bothered to ask for witnesses of this incident.

Kibo pointed out that he and Maizono saw it all that the arrogant main course students started it and are intent in harming Naegi even though he did nothing wrong, yet the Steering Committee members insisted that Naegi be expelled as their witnessing his actions against the main course students is enough proof that Naegi has no right studying here.

The arrogant main course students roared and urged the Steering Committee members to have Naegi expelled, which they shouted louder to motivate the committee members into expelling Naegi.

"Expel him!"

"Expel him!"

"Expel him!"

"Expel him!"

"Expel him!"

"Expel him!"

"Expel him!"

"Expel him!"

Naegi clenched his fists seeing that the Steering Committee members were using this incident as an excuse to have him expelled, but Kibo and Maizono stepped forward and told them that they will not allow them to expel Naegi as they please, stating that Naegi has proven himself and that he deserves the chance to be scouted at the main course department of Hope's Peak Superhero Academy.

The two teens said that now they are going to risk expulsion just to show that heroes have the reason to protect those being trampled for no justifiable reason, much to the Steering Committee members and the arrogant main course students' disgust.

This further fueled the arrogant main course students to put pressure as they urged the Steering Committee members to act immediately and have Naegi expelled from Hope's Peak Superhero Academy and have him ejected from the campus immediately.

"Expel him!"

"Expel him!"

"Expel him!"

"Expel him!"

"Expel him!"

"Expel him!"

"Expel him!"

"Expel him!"

To Be Continued...
