My apologies for the late update. An unexpected situation happened in which my laptop developed a problem and subsequently CRASHED, and though I was able to save my files, the fanfics that I last saved were corrupted, and while the fanfics I've typed were among those saved, 50% of the progress was affected, hence I had to restart working on the chapters, hence I was unable to meet the deadline which the next update was supposed to be the last week of March.

So now I'm working on the next chapters and if this fic gets a review, I will have the next update ready. Now that I finished my explanation…time to get down to business…

I really appreciated it and this gave me inspiration to work on the next chapter and here the Naegi and Kibo are locked in battle as rebellious main course students of Hope's Peak Superhero Academy are exerting efforts to rid Naegi…which would intensify further…

Ch. 29: Yoki senu enjo

Sighing in dismay, Naegi saw the logic and made one last attempt to reason with the attackers, asking them to reconsider, but one of the attackers tosses a grenade which landed below Naegi's area, and Kibo was shocked at what he just saw.

"Naegi-sensei!"

"…"

"Watch out!"

"!"

"It's a grenade!"

"!"

"Get behind me!"

"!"

But it was too late, as the grenade exploded which blasted the area Naegi is standing on, and as the area is covered in smoke, the attacking main course students rejoiced as they believed that they finally got rid of the reserve course student and are dancing like idiots as they took pride in their self-delusion of SAVING Hope's Peak Superhero Academy from the likes of Naegi.

"We did it!"

Kibo was infuriated and angrily told the attackers that their actions have completely erased their reputation as heroes-in-training and are now considered as villains as they committed their first murder, yet the attacking main course students didn't care, as they made it clear that Kibo is the next to fall, and once this happen, there will be no witnesses and thus their reputations as Hope's Peak Superhero Academy remains.

The leader of the mob then led his cohorts in preparation to kill Kibo, and the posse roared in agreement as they followed their leader upon being urged to kill Kibo to ensure that there won't be any witnesses to this incident.

"Lets kill him!"

"Kill him!"

Kibo gritted his teeth seeing that the main course students have definitely toss away their moral fiber and are now resorting to cheap, despicable tactics as a foolish way for them to PRESERVE the image of Hope's Peak Superhero Academy, and he is about to unleash his weapons when the smoke cleared and Naegi emerged, and is unscratched and unharmed.

Kibo was surprised as he was sure that Naegi would not survive a direct grenade blast and asked if Naegi is okay, and the teen boy assured to the cybernetic teen that he is okay and unharmed.

"Are you sure, sensei?"

"I'm okay Kibo."

"But…"

"Don't worry. I'm fine."

"Are you sure you didn't suffer any severe injuries?"

"I'm completely fine. Really."

"Naegi-sensei…"

"Don't worry, Kibo."

The rebellious main course students were in a state of disbelief as they were sure that Naegi died after being caught by the grenade blast directly, and one of the students started to tremble in fear as he believed that Naegi is a YOUKAI but the leader of the group assured to his posse that Naegi is just a PLAIN BRAT and probably used MAGIC TRICKS to confuse them and play MIND GAMES.

He urged them to kill the two teens in order to preserve the dignity of Hope's Peak, which the posse roared in approval.

"We shouldn't be tricked by his phony SPECIAL EFFECTS! I say we kill that Naegi! Come on! Lets kill him!"

"Kill him!"

Naegi sighed seeing that the main course students have totally lost their minds and is forced to resort to violence though Kibo tells him that he will deal with the mob saying that they intend to make it appear that Naegi started it so as to make the mob look good and have an alibi to make Hope's Peak believe that Naegi is a threat to the institution.

Naegi said that even if that is the case, he would rather deal this matter personally than let others do it as he feel like he is dragging others into this situation when he is the target and said that he should deal this personally and not have others get mixed as they are not involved in the first place.

"And that's that, Kibo "

"But…Naegi-sensei…"

"This is is really on me. I feel bad that others got dragged because of me…"

"No…you did nothing…"

"This is my problem. I rather deal with this than let others…"

"I'm with you. I'm now involved."

"Kibo…"

"So please…let me…"

Suddenly, the mob began to swamp Naegi and proceeded to punch and kick him, and the mob leader urged his posse to kill Naegi before he gets the chance to escape and expose the incident, which they roared in approval.

"Okay!"

Kibo was shocked at how low the mob had stooped, but then Naegi flexed his arms and the mob are sent flying to different directions, and the mob leader couldn't believe what he is seeing, and he ordered his posse to get up and not let a reserve course student taint the image of Hope's Peak Superhero Academy, students which the groggy main course students roared hoarsely.

"Okay!"

Then one of the mob members brought out an RPG (rocket powered grenade) weapon and said that this is the sure thing to get rid of Naegi and asked his fellow students if he should open fire, which the others roared in approval.

"Okay!"

Kibo became alarmed and told Naegi to stand aside and let him handle this, fearing that Naegi might suffer serious injuries, yet he is unaware of the fact that the RED SUIT that Naegi is wearing actually protects him from most forms of conventional injuries, and only Naegi himself knows of this secret.

As the rebellious main course student is poised to open fire, his fellow classmates urges him to shoot, saying that the VERY IMAGE of Hope's Peak Superhero Academy is on the line and the one thing stands in the way is Naegi himself, and they chanted that Naegi be shot to death no matter what.

"Kill him!"

Inspired, the main course student shoots the RPG, just as Naegi covered his head with his arms, and the blast was loud enough that Kibo is shocked, which he regretted not acting immediately as believe that Naegi may have been killed on the spot, and while smoke is billowing, the main course students were celebrating in the apparent demise of their target and proclaimed that Hope's Peak Superhero Academy is now in SAFE HANDS and that no reserve course students would dare oppose them.

"HURRAY! THE TRASH IS DECIMATED! MAKOTO NAEGI IS NO MORE!"

However, as the smoke cleared, the main course students and Kibo were surprised to see that Naegi is alive and unscathed, and the rebellious main course students were in a state of disbelief at what they just saw, and couldn't accept the fact that Naegi is alive and well, and steadily became deluded that they irrationally believe that Naegi is a YOUKAI and that he is a TRUE THREAT to all of Japan.

Kibo approached Naegi and asked if he is okay, and the latter assured that there is nothing to worry about, saying that his GOOD LUCK helped and saved him, much to the teen cyborg's relief.

"Are you sure, sensei?"

"I'm okay Kibo."

"But…"

"Don't worry. I'm fine. You may not know this…but I have a really GOOD LUCK."

"This is not the time to joke around! Are you sure you didn't suffer any severe injuries?"

"I'm completely fine. Really. Not a single scratch on me. See...?"

"Naegi-sensei…"

"Don't worry, Kibo."

As the main course students brought out more RPGs and loaded the shells, they are now determined to kill Naegi and are now willing to kill Kibo as well, but then something unexpected took place, as a select Main Course students showed up and stood in front of Naegi and Kibo, much to the rebellious students' disbelief, as they irrationally believed that the other main course students have been INFECTED by Naegi's presence.

The main course students who showed up were:

- Sayaka Maizono

- Aoi Asahina

- Sakura Ohgami

- Mondo Ohwada

- Byakuya Togami

- Kiyotaka Ishimaru

Hope you liked this chapter, in which Naegi became a hot topic again, although this time in a another situation as the hostile main course students are now determined to get rid of him and resorted to using high-powered weapons to kill him and seemingly succeeded…only to find out that he is INVULNERABLE…to a degree…

And now things took a turn as some benevolent main course students showed up and are coming to Naegi's defense…thus a free-for-all is about to take place…
