Ch. 33: Kinchō shita sutandōfu

As Kibo told the police chief and Jin what he found out , the two men were surprised to hear this, which the police chief confronted the parents and berated them for their actions and pointed out that they could be charged and this would only make them look bad and tarnish their reputation, which the hostile parents find themselves in a pinch.

"Damn…"

However, the lawyers came up with a way and said that he has no proof, and made it appear that the teen cyborg is making up the alibi and made it appear that Kibo has been MORALLY CORRUPTED by a reserve course student like Naegi, telling and urging Jin to have Kibo sever his ties with Naegi or the teen cyborg might end up getting astray with the wrong company.

"I implore you! Expel that Naegi and dissolve the reserve course department of Hope's Peak Superhero Academy! Do it, I say! Do it!"

"Do it!"

The arrogant parents then made their stand and urged the police chief to release the hostile main course students from custody, saying that they are being held UNJUSTIFIABLY and made their cases known.

"I implore you! Release our children!"

"Do it!"

Jin is not pleased with what is going on, and while he would take Kibo's word for it, he lacked witnesses and he and the police chief would be accused of bias if they were to side with Naegi whilst the hostile parents and the shrewd lawyers are urging the headmaster to have Naegi expelled from Hope's Peak on the account of the boy being a MORAL THREAT.

The police chief told the parents to restrain themselves as he will have an investigation on the claims, but the parents pressed on and insisted that Naegi be expelled from Hope's Peak, voicing their intentions that was loud enough to be heard within the police station which other people can hear it audibly, slightly alarming them which they find it quite disturbing.

"I implore you! Expel that Naegi and dissolve the reserve course department of Hope's Peak Superhero Academy! Do it, I say! Do it!"

"Do it!"

The lawyers then made their stand and insisted that the hostile main course students be released from custody saying that they are innocent from the start and said that Naegi is the one responsible and made calls to have the hostile students be released at once.

"I implore you! Release the children!"

"Do it!"

Jin is being pressured by the hostile parents and their lawyers to drop the charges against the hostile main course students while demanding that Naegi be expelled from Hope's Peak, which Kibo is not pleased and is now willing to take hostile action against them but Naegi urged him to calm down, which the teen cyborg is not pleased as he pointed out how his detractors are treating him like disposable garbage.

"Calm down, Kibo."

"But…"

"Just calm down…"

"But…they are…"

"Be patient. We shouldn't give in to their provocation…"

"But we can't let them have their way with you!"

"I know…"

"But Naegi-sensei…!"

Suddenly, Byakuya Togami showed up which the hostile parents and their lawyers are surprised as Togami is well-known within the social circle, and there Togami brought out the recorded footage where the hostile parents are attempting to bribe Naegi into withdrawing the charges against the hostile main course students, which also showed the date and time.

The hostile parents were shocked at what Togami just did and couldn't believe that even Togami is siding with a lowly commoner like Naegi and demanded to know why Togami would take the side of a reserve course student, which Togami said that Naegi has shown potential to be a main course student, and thus he is worthy to be transferred to the main course of Hope's Peak Superhero Academy.

This didn't sit well with the hostile parents and accuses Togami of letting himself get influenced by a reserve course student like Naegi.

"How could you?"

"You sold yourself out to a lowly commoner!"

"A sold out!"

Studying the footage and confirming that it is genuine, the police chief showed the footage and confirmed it that the bribery attempt is real and that the lawyers are there and even tried to cover it up, and thus the police chief made it clear that the hostile parents and their lawyers are to be arrested for the crimes, much to the hostile parents and their lawyers' horror.

"No!"

The police chief signaled his men to arrest the group and thus the hostile parents and their lawyers are taken away to be booked and charged, which they wailed and blamed their predicament on Naegi, cursing him and vowed to make him pay for the MISFORTUNE they incurred, and made it clear that they will make sure that Naegi will be expelled from Hope's Peak Superhero Academy not matter what.

"Damn you, Naegi! You will pay for this outrage!"

"Damn you, Naegi!"

As the hostile group was taken away, Jin thanked Togami for his help, and Togami said that he is already a HERO-IN-TRAINING, hence he would do what a real hero do, and said that he doesn't see any difference if Naegi is from the reserve course, as long as he doesn't engage in any villainous activities.

"Togami-kun…"

"Just doing what an aspiring would do…"

"…"

"And I believe that this Naegi would do fine if he is sorted into the main course department."

"I believe so…"

"Then I have no objection."

"Togami…"

"Do what you have to do, headmaster."

By then Ohgami, Ishimaru, Ohwada, Asahina and Maizono entered, having seen the hostile group taken away by the policemen, and there they voiced their support towards Naegi and said that they are more than welcome to accept him into the main course of Hope's Peak Superhero Academy.

"Join the main course department…"

Kibo smiled as things went well, and tells Naegi that the end-result has taken one load off his chest, and now the remaining problem lies on where he would stay as his apartment unit was damaged and that it is off-limits for the time being by police, which Naegi nodded, realizing that he has no place to stay tonight due to tonight's debacle and going back to his original home would mean longer travel time going to and from Hope's Peak.

Jin tells Naegi that for the time being he can stay at the dormitory of Hope's Peak Superhero Academy as he would make arrangements while at the same time he will get the paperwork going as he decided that Naegi be transferred to the main course department, making him a main course student, surprising Naegi as he did not expect something like this.

"As of this moment…you are now a main course student…"

"Eh…?"

"You heard me, Naegi."

"I…"

"And for the time being you can stay at the dorms provided by Hope's Peak Superhero Academy..."

"Th-thanks…"

"Its nothing…"

"…"

Kibo smiled and tells Naegi that he should accept the offer as he has no place else to go, and that he has earned the right to be transferred to the main course department of Hope's Peak Superhero Academy, stating that Naegi is the first to do reserve course student to be scouted and potentially be transferred to the main course department.

The main course students who came to Naegi's aid also encouraged him to accept the offer, saying that Kibo is right as Naegi have earned it and rightfully so, as he have demonstrated that he has the making of a true hero, and never gave in to provocation from his tormentors, hence he should accept the headmaster's offer and stay at the dormitory of Hope's Peak Superhero Academy.

"Please accept it…"

At Hope's Peak Superhero Academy, Kizakura was seen looking haggard (in an exaggerated manner) as he managed to finish the paperwork and wondered what has happened to Jin, as the time now is 01:30, and he felt that something bad may have happened at the police station as this has never happened before, and wondered if things have been settled or if the situation escalated further.

Suddenly, Jin came back and he thanked Kizakura for looking after things here while he is gone, and there Kizakura raised an eyebrow upon seeing Naegi and Kibo, and there Jin told Kizakura what went on and what the headmaster's decision is, which Kizakura was quite surprised upon hearing what Jin said just now – the hostile main course students would be expelled, their parents and lawyers would be charged for bribery and that Naegi is set to be transferred to the main course department.

"Whoa, whoa…"

"You heard it, Kizakura."

"Seriously…?"

"Yes. Naegi is due to be transferred to the main course department."

"Whoa…that went well…"

"It wasn't easy…but we persevered…"

"Heh…then this leaves one more obstacle…"

"Huh?"

Suddenly, the Steering Committee members barges in, having heard what Jin said and made their objections clear, saying that Naegi has no right to be transferred to the main course department as even said that the hostile main course students were victims of circumstances and ordered the headmaster to exert efforts in securing the hostile main course students' release from custody at all costs.

"I implore you! Release the main course students!"

"Do it!"
