Ch. 37: To shiriau

The rest of Class 80 listened as Kibo explained Naegi's situation and why he is sharing with his dorm room as it was decided by the headmaster and that Naegi would stay and share with Kibo's dorm room until the headmaster finds a vacant dorm room for Naegi to use, which the rest seemed to understand, seeing that Naegi appeared to be an interesting person based on what Kibo said.

"I see…"

"So that's why…"

"And it was the headmaster who came up with that…"

"Makes sense…"

"That Naegi is really LUCKY…"

"Yet he might be targeted by gossiping…"

"But…Naegi is a good guy, right?"

"He sure is interesting…"

They expressed interest in meeting with Naegi and see if he is what Kibo described, and there Akamatsu told her classmates to be patient as she would ask Kibo to facilitate the meeting so as not to let Naegi get overwhelmed, which the rest of Class 80 nodded in agreement and acknowledgement.

"Okay…"

Suddenly, Anji Yonaga came and said that she saw it all, that Naegi is now a main course student and is sorted to Class 78, surprising the rest of Class 80 and asked Yonaga if she is sure about what she said, as they didn't expect something like this to happen so soon and all of the sudden, as they have no idea that everything happened so fast.

"Its true! Naegi is now a main course student! He just got assigned to Class 78!"

"What?"

Kibo himself is taken by surprise as he did not expect that Naegi would be transferred to the main course department so suddenly, and he didn't expect that Naegi would end up in another section, which Akamatsu calms the surprised teen cyborg and tells him that some things happen without notice, and it seems that LUCK is on Naegi's side.

Kibo nodded as he admitted that Naegi seemed to attract people, first the negative ones where they look down on him due to the fact that he originally started as a reserve course student, but also positive people as his presence and exploits caught the attention of the headmaster, as well some of the main course students, such as the ones from Class 78.

The Class 80 members were astonished at what Kibo said about Naegi, eliciting various reactions.

"Eh?"

"What?"

"Really?"

"Seriously?"

"For real?"

"No way…"

"You got to be kidding…"

"How surprising…"

The rest of Class 80 approached Kibo and asked him if he could introduce Naegi to then, wanting to meet him as they are curious about him, as well as wanting to befriend Naegi, which Kibo said that he would try to facilitate a way to invite him here, which Kibo's classmates nodded in acknowledgement, looking forward to meet with Naegi.

"Okay…"

Meanwhile, the scene shifts at the classroom of Class 78, where Naegi is getting acquainted with some of his classmates, and there Maizono is seen helping him getting settled and assured to him that he would do great now that he is a main course student, and that other main course students would eventually accept him, which Naegi humbly said that he is unsure if that is the case.

Togami interjected, and said that Naegi is right to be doubtful, as Togami revealed that moments ago he secretly saw some main course students glaring at Naegi and overheard their conversation, saying that Naegi being transferred to the main course department is a FLUKE and believed that Naegi may have BRIBED the headmaster and such.

Maizono stared wide-eyed in disbelief and said that the other main course students are being insensitive and immature, yet Togami said that what he said just now is based on how he was able to eavesdrop without getting caught, and said that Naegi now needs to be careful as those who oppose in Naegi being a main course student are going to do something to have him kick out of the main course department.

"They can't be serious!"

"Looks like they are…"

"Are they really that insecure just because Naegi-kun originally came from the reserve course…?"

"You can't blame them. They feel that the reserve course students are beneath them, hence they feel insulted when they heard that Naegi got transferred here…"

"They ought to stop picking on Naegi and leave him alone…"

"Tell that to them…"

"…"

The other Class 78 members overheard it and voiced their stance that they will not let anyone with ill-intentions to harass Naegi and will protect him no matter what, which Naegi himself humbly said that he will deal with it and doesn't want anyone to get dragged in, but his new classmates said that they got his back now that he is a member of Class 78.

Togami nodded and tells his classmates that they are going to watch each other's backs and that includes Naegi, which they roared in agreement.

"Okay…"

By then Kibo arrived as he stood by the classroom door of Class 78, and Hagakure approached him and asked if he need something, only to find out that he is one of Naegi's friends within the main course department, and there Hagakure called out Naegi and tells him that Kibo is here to check on him.

As Naegi approached his schoolmate, Kibo asked him for confirmation as he said that he heard rumors that a reserve course student got transferred here, which Naegi confirmed, and the teen cyborg congratulated Naegi for getting transferred to the main course department, though Naegi humbly said that it is nothing special and tells him that Class 78 is his new section.

The rest of Class 78 were curious as some of them have no idea that Naegi is friends with Kibo, since they assume that Naegi has no friends due to him being in the reserve course department. Maizono, Togami, Asahina, Ohgami and Ishimaru told the rest of their classmates how they met Naegi and everything else, which surprised the rest of Class 78.

"Eh?"

"What?"

"Really?"

"Seriously?"

"For real?"

"No way…"

"You got to be kidding…"

"How surprising…"

By then Akamatsu came as she followed Kibo, and the teen cyborg is quite surprised to see his classmate and asked her what brings her here, which Akamatsu said that she wanted to see Naegi herself and find out if he is what Kibo described, and the teen cyborg reiterated that Naegi is a humble boy with good intentions, as well as having potential to become a pro hero once he graduates Hope's Peak Superhero Academy.

Naegi smiled and greeted Akamatsu, and she nodded in reply, but was taken aback at seeing how cute he looked, even though he is quite shorter than her, but this unintentionally earned the jealousy of Maizono, and there she mentally and immediately regarded Akamatsu as a rival, as Maizono developed a crush towards Naegi, and there her eyes twitched as Naegi and Akamatsu began to mingle like new acquaintances.

"So...you're the one that Kibo mentioned…please to meet you."

"Ah, please to meet you as well…"

"Welcome to the main course department. Congratulations on getting transferred here."

"Thanks."

"If you're free, come visit Class 80."

"Okay, I will. Thanks."

"No problem."

"Ha-ha…"

Moments later, the rest of Class 80 came and there they get to see Naegi for the first time, and through Kibo, Class 80 began to befriend him, and this made other main course students stare in disbelief, as they couldn't believe that a reserve course student got transferred into the main course department just like that and now two of the top sections were SWAYED, and the main course students who resented Naegi immediately branded him as a PARASITE.

"I can't believe this…"

"Me neither. That reserve course student sure has the nerve…"

"He's just a reserve course student…how was he able to get transferred here…?"

"This is impossible…a garbage from the reserve course department got transferred into the main course department?"

"I am pretty sure…he must've bribed the headmaster…it has to be…"

"That's possible…since no one from the reserve course department has ever set foot here…unless that brat offered him money…"

"Something is definitely suspicious here…we got to do something…"

"I agree…"

At the private room, the members of the Steering Committee are having an emergency meeting, as they just found out that Naegi is now sorted into Class 78, and now even Class 80 were easily SEDUCED into befriending Naegi, and for the Steering Committee members, they find this insulting as they always believe that reserve course students have no worth in Hope's Peak Superhero Academy, hence they are in disbelief that a reserve course student was scouted and got transferred to the main course department.

The Steering Committee members believe that Naegi may have CHEATED his way through and probably BRIBED Jin Kirigiri into having Naegi sorted into the main course department, which the other Steering Committee members believe that this is the case, unaware that it isn't because Naegi's efforts through hard work were the reasons why Jin sees potential in Naegi.

"Damn that Naegi…he really is a headache!"

"I agree!"

"Indeed! He's just a reserve course student! A maggot who doesn't belong to the higher echelon of Hope's Peak!"

"That's right! How the heck was he able to climb his way to get Kirigiri's attention?"

"Something is definitely up!"

"That's right!"

"We got to do something!"

"We can't let that brat…"

Then one of the Steering Committee members came rushing in, where he panicked and said that he got word that the main course students who were placed in police custody were released, which the other Steering Committee members find this as good news, only to stare in disbelief when told that the headmaster recommended that the hostile main course students who attacked Naegi be expelled from Hope's Peak Superhero Academy.

The Steering Committee members became alarmed as the beleaguered hostile main course students' parents were Hope's Peak Superhero Academy's one of many FINANCIAL BACKERS, and if the parents find out they would back out and thus the Steering Committee members would lose their ONLY SOURCE of FINANCIAL commission.

"No way!"

"It can't be!"

"Unbelievable!"

"Damn it!"

"I can't accept this!"

"Totally unacceptable!"

"Our source of income…gone!"

"Blast that Naegi! It's all his fault!"

The Steering Committee members are now in a panic as they cannot let this happen and they began to come up with ideas to prevent the headmaster from expelling the hostile main course students and to retain the GOOD GRACES of the hostile main course students' WEALTHY PARENTS, as they cannot afford to lose their ONLY SOURCE of EASY INCOME due to the parents' GENEROSITY.

"We got to think of a way to prevent the expulsion! Are you guys going to help?"

"Okay…"

Outside, four members of Hope's Peak Superhero Academy's student council accidentally overheard the discussion via the door as the Steering Committee members' ranting were rather loud, and the student council members were dismayed at the pettiness of the Steering Committee members, seeing that all they care about is the money and nothing else.

"Those idiots…"

"They really are…"

"Are they really insecure over that boy…?"

"Looks to me that they are…"

"How vexing…"

"Are they really that selfish…?"

"They sure are…"

"They really are idiots…"

Hope you liked this chapter, in which Naegi became a hot topic again, although this time the circumstances surrounding the event has changed, and right now he is effectively a main course student and is now part of Class 78, which surprised majority of the Class 78 members…

Class 80, who are the characters from Danganronpa V3, appeared as a section, and they too are intrigued about Naegi after hearing from Kibo about Naegi's situation, and now they are taken aback by the fact that Naegi has been transferred while assigned to Class 78, and this would no doubt surprise them…

However, Naegi's transfer was not well-received as the Steering Committee members and some main course students are not pleased by this and believed that Naegi has bribed his way through and are now going to EXPOSE him, unwilling to accept that Naegi actually earned the right…

The next chapter will show what would happen next regarding the Naegi situation…whether the fact that Naegi has been transferred to the main course department would be well-received by majority of the main course students or not…

And there would be some resistance of sorts…
