Ch. 43: Hitojichi no jōkyō part 4

The terrorists opened fire and sprayed Kibo with bullets, but to their surprise the bullets dented while bouncing off, and there they noticed Kibo's metallic arms and body underneath his civilian clothes, but the terrorist group leader was unwilling to lose, and ordered his men to keep shooting, which they nodded in acknowledgement, seemingly failing to realize that they are fighting a metallic cyborg.

"Yes sir!"

The terrorists kept on shooting, using high-powered weapons as sounds of gunfire were loud and deafening, causing the other hostages to cover their ears and became terrified, so terrified that the hostages cringed in fear and began to scream in terror.

"EEEEEEKKKK!"

"KKKKKKKYYYYYYAAAAHHHH!"

"WWWWWWAAAAAHHHH!"

"HHHHHHEEEEELLLPPPPP!"

"EEEEEEKKKK!"

"KKKKKKKYYYYYYAAAAHHHH!"

"WWWWWWAAAAAHHHH!"

"HHHHHHEEEEELLLPPPPP!"

He told them that Kibo is now their target as he must be killed if their plans are to succeed and thus they must ensure Kibo's death in order to regain control of the situation, and said that they will have to resort to using high-powered weapons in order to defeat the teen cyborg, which the others roared in acknowledgement.

"Yes sir!"

The gunmen opened fire and their guns shoots out a hail of bullets which the sounds were loud and deafening, which the leader of the squad told his men not to stop until Kibo falls dead, determined to regain control of the situation so as to prevent the authorities from finding out that the hostage situation is slowly falling apart.

"Shoot him! Shoot him until he's dead!"

"Yes sir!"

However, Kibo was quite unfazed as he finds that his cybernetic, armored body protected him and the bullets bounced off and dented, and there he charges forward and delivered a barrage of punches and kicks, sending the gunmen back and others get thrown against the walls, knocking them out.

One of the hostages decided to take advantage and attempted to flew, but she was caught by one of the gunmen and there the leader of the terrorists is pissed at her for trying to escape and decided to use her to intimidate the other hostages.

"You bitch!"

"…"

"You dare try ruining our plans by escaping?"

"…"

"You will pay!"

"…"

"And your death would serve as an example!"

"…"

The remaining hostages became terrified as the the leader of the hostage-takers ordered his men to prepare shooting the female hostage to death as he wanted her to pay for her actions, and the hostages pleaded to them to spare her, seeing that she poses no threat as she is unarmed, but the leader of the hostage-takers shoots another unarmed woman on the head, killing her, and there he told the remaining hostages to shut up or risk getting wasted.

This terrified the hostages and screams out in desperation, as they do not want to die in such a situation, wailing for help even though it would do them no good as they are inside the tower while the authorities are far out of reach and cannot hear their screaming for help.

"EEEEEEKKKK!"

"KKKKKKKYYYYYYAAAAHHHH!"

"WWWWWWAAAAAHHHH!"

"HHHHHHEEEEELLLPPPPP!"

"EEEEEEKKKK!"

"KKKKKKKYYYYYYAAAAHHHH!"

The female hostage gritted her teeth seeing that these hostage-takers have no intention of letting the hostages go, and she braces herself for anything until Makoto Naegi barges in, still wearing the red suit and cape, grabbing a vending machine and threw it towards the hostage-takers, blocking their view and this allowed the female victim to lead the remaining hostages towards the fire exit and there they ran off as the hostage-takers find themselves further losing control of the situation.

He ordered four of his men to use grenades to keep the armored Kibo at bay, then head out towards the elevator and head for the rooftop to facilitate their escape, which the hostage-takers nodded in acknowledgement as they brought out the grenades and released the safety pin and threw it towards the target.

Kibo saw this and told Naegi to take cover, and as Naegi took cover, Kibo braces himself as the grenades were tossed at him.

The hostage-takers ducked behind the vending machine before it exploded, and there the leader of the hostage-takers instructed four of his men to see if the target is dead, which the four men nodded in acknowledgement, seemingly forgetting that Kibo's armored form would protect him from the impact of grenades and bullets.

"Quick! Check his body!"

"Yes sir!"

"Make sure that he is dead!"

"Yes sir!"

As the four men check out the site where the explosion took place, the leader of the remaining hostage-takers went towards the elevator and proceeded to head for the rooftop, and the remaining four terrorists are checking to see if Kibo is dead, only to be taken aback at seeing that he wasn't scathed, and realized that Kibo is actually a cyborg and they began to panic as they tried to kill him off even though they are aware of the fact that his armored form would protect him.

This was proven as the gunmen opened fire and saw that the bullets are bouncing off, and this further sent them into panic as one of them brought out a grenade and removed the safety pin, ready to throw it towards the target, but the others told him not to, realizing what would happen next.

"…"

"No!"

"Don't!"

"Stop!"

"…"

"Not here!"

"You get us killed!"

"You idiot!"

Despite the warnings that his fellow gunmen said, the panicking gunman threw the grenade towards the target, but the armored Kibo swats it defensively, sending the grenade back towards the gunmen , and there they became terrified as the grenade rolled towards them and as they realize that there is no time for them to evade or seek cover.

"EEEEEEKKKK!"

"KKKKKKKYYYYYYAAAAHHHH!"

"WWWWWWAAAAAHHHH!"

"HHHHHHEEEEELLLPPPPP!"

"EEEEEEKKKK!"

"KKKKKKKYYYYYYAAAAHHHH!"

"WWWWWWAAAAAHHHH!"

"HHHHHHEEEEELLLPPPPP!"

Indeed, as seconds later the grenade exploded and the impact caught the four gunmen and they were struck by the explosion as they were too close to the grenade that exploded, and they were killed in an instant and there is zero chance for them to survive, and a few seconds later the four terrorists laid dead, their body parts scattered.

The armored Kibo just stood there as he felt that the terrorists deserve no mercy after what they have done to the hostages, killing them ruthlessly just to pressure the mayors into releasing a very dangerous criminal, but then he realized that the rest of the terrorists are heading to the rooftop, just as Naegi confirmed that the hostage-takers are all dead.

"Kibo…!"

"Naegi-sensei…are they…?"

"They're all dead."

"Are you sure?"

"Yes. But the rest are probably heading…"

"The rooftop. That's the only route they would take."

"We better get there right away."

"Right."

Naegi and Kibo boarded another elevator as they head for the rooftop to catch up with the fleeing terrorists and hoped to delay their escape.

The scene shifts at the rooftop, where the Shade members are awaiting something and the squad leader tells one of his men to check on the others left inside, as he had a feeling that Kibo might be causing more problems and felt that if none of his men are answering, then it's safe to assume that Kibo defeated them.

One of the terrorists tried to contact the others via the radio, but there was no reply, and there he told the squad leader about it, and the squad leader gritted his teeth as he is now sure that Kibo is on his way here, it realizing that Naegi is with Kibo, and he told his men to be ready as he expected that Kibo would be heading towards the rooftop, which his men nodded in acknowledgement.

"Yes sir!"

Suddenly, a helicopter arrived and landed on the rooftop, where it is revealed that the pilot is one of the terrorists, and he tells the remaining terrorists, about five of them, to get in as he said that in five minutes SWAT members on board a helicopter would arrive, and there the squad leader told his remaining men to get in, saying that they would have to lie low for the time being before hatching a new plan to ransom in freeing the Shade leader.

"Yes sir!"

The remaining terrorists then boarded the helicopter, and as the pilot is getting the helicopter ready to fly, Kibo and Naegi arrived, seeing that the terrorists are about to make an escape, and looking around, he saw a long chain and he grabbed it, where he uses it like a rope and threw it towards the helicopter, wrapping it around the foot of the helicopter, which began to go airborne, and as the helicopter flew, Kibo and Naegi grabbed hold of the rope, and held on as they are being dragged in the air as the helicopter flew away from the tower.

The Shade squad leader gave instructions to his remaining men to find another guinea pig who has no family member or contact, so that he can be brainwashed easily and be easy to control, and vowed that they will liberate the Shade leader and take over Japan stealthily, which his remaining men nodded in acknowledgement.

"Yes sir!"
