I really appreciated it and this gave me inspiration to work on the next chapter and here, the story will give more emphasis on what happened to other countries outside Japan during the pandemic, which would show how its leaders are trying (?) to cope with the situation at hand…

Ch. 40: Ochita sekai part 2

Meanwhile, the scene shifts at the abandoned building where Kyosuke Munakata and his group are taking residence, as they fortified the defenses to make sure that the undead won't force their way in and so far he managed to save a number of people and slowly turned them into brave soldiers as they managed to procure weapons to defend themselves and to see if there are those who are in need of help.

He is currently assessing the situation after considering the testimonies of the surviving cops and soldiers who were forced by their superiors to keep shooting the zombies despite the fact that the soldiers are losing the battle.

Munakata just finished watching the live international news showing the fall of China where its leaders are seen among the undead, and Bandai arrived and told him to switch the channel as he tells Munakata that he just heard from the radio about the current state of the United States of America, which made Munakata curious.

"America…?"

"Yeah."

"Has that country…?"

"From what I heard…it's in turmoil."

"Has the president…?"

"He appeared to have deserted his country... better check the news."

"Open the TV."

"Right…"

Turning on the TV, Munakata and Bandai, who were then joined by Sakakura, watched the live news, where the scene shifts to the TV where a live footage is shown where news crew from the United States of America are seen and reporting from the White House, as they tried to get statements from the current president, Donald Trumpet, where they eventually learned that Trumpet and some of his cabinet members have already left.

Moreover, the vice president, Mike Pence-seal is also not at his office. It is also announced that the Senate president and the house speaker were among the perished, thus North America is leaderless which further drove the country into turmoil as both Trumpet and Pence-seal's whereabouts are unknown at this time, which the reporters aired their dismay while reporting.

"It appeared that the president has abandoned us…"

"The White House is virtually empty…"

"No sign of anyone here…not even the vice-president…"

"A dark day for the United States..."

"People blindly voted for him…and now they got this in return…"

"And now America is paying the price…"

"May this serve as a lesson…"

"What will happen to all of us…"

Sakakura aired his disgust at seeing how the SUPER POWER of the world is like that, which Munakata attributed to the foolishness of the Americans who voted him as president because of his charisma and that they only voted him because of his promises of making America GREAT AGAIN.

"And now the United States is the next to fall."

"No doubt about it."

"The blame falls on the people who voted Trumpet for being swayed by his false promises.

"Yeah…it shows how stupid the American voters are…they should have voted wisely instead of being swayed by Trumpet's promise of America becoming great again and all that bullshit…"

"And for once I agree with you, Sakakura."

"Guess we are stuck…"

"For now."

"…"

By then Bandai told the two to watch as a new live footage has aired, where it showed that the live news feed is coming from an internet connection, and it is revealed that both Trumpet and Pence-seal are inside the Air Force One, and the airplane is currently being airborne, and Sakakura is pissed that both the current president and vice-president are running away while the Americans are forced to fend for themselves, which Munakata can relate.

"Damn those two…"

"Easy, Sakakura."

"So they really ran away."

"You should know by now that they would do this the moment a crisis arrive."

"Glad that I wasn't born an American..."

"Their doom is approaching them, so let things play out."

"You're right, Munakata…"

"…"

Inside Air Force One, Trumpet is having an impromptu State Of The Nation address, with Pence-seal beside him, and there he addresses the current situation, saying that America is experiencing an SUPERB FORM OF INSURRECTION, and assured to the American people that as president, he will not let the REBELLION prosper and vowed to make America great again.

Many Americans who are currently inside several safe zones were infuriated at Trumpet for the false address, as it was obvious that the Trumpet administration and its cabinet members have deserted their posts just to escape the onslaught while he is leisurely enjoying his flight while the country is suffering.

"Damn that pig…"

"He doesn't know anything…"

"He's just enjoying himself while we are suffering…"

"Even his cabinet are with him…"

"And now the vice-president deserted us as well…"

"Hope they get a karmic response…"

"Me too…"

"Yeah…"

However, Trumpet supporters, who were among the evacuees, praised Trumpet and wrongly believed that he is planning something and save America, and showed their vote of confidence even though it is obvious that Trumpet has abandoned his people.

"Don't give up hope!"

"Trumpet will save us!"

"He will make his move!"

"Yeah! He is our hero!"

"Our savior!"

"A true American!"

"Soon he will save America and make it great again!"

"America first only!"

However, the next scene unfolded which even the Trumpet supporters slowly became horrified at what they just saw on the live feed.

Inside Air Force One, Trumpet is delivering his speech when his wife is screaming in terror as something unexpected happened, as zombies somewhat managed to sneak aboard, and attacked the guards while Trumpet's children were slowly being consumed.

There Trumpet is oblivious to what is happening as he is trying to deliver his meaningless speech while telling his wife to stop the racket, even though she is visibly in distress at what is happening right now.

"And as your president I...Ivanka... will you shut up?

"Eeek!"

"I can't make my speech with all the racket you're making!"

"Donald! Our children are being eaten!"

"Then call McDonald's!"

"Donald!"

"I said shut up already!"

"Donald!"

Moments later even Pence-seal saw it and backed away in fear as Trumpet's wife was caught and is slowly being eaten alive, and he told Trumpet what is happening but the president paid no attention as he is so focused in delivering his useless address.

"As I was saying…as your president I... Pence-seal... will you shut up already?"

"AAIIIIEEE!"

"I can't make my speech with all the racket you're making!"

"AAAAIIIIEEE! I'm being eaten alive!"

"Then call McDonald's!"

"Mr. President!"

"I said shut up already!"

"Help!"

As Trumpet said he will make America great again, the zombies caught him and the foolish president told the zombies to get off him as said that he is in the middle of making his address but the zombies hear nothing as they began eating him alive, and Trumpet screamed as he called for the guards.

However, the guards were already dead and the live footage showed that the dead guards became zombies and went for Pence-seal, while Trumpet is shown graphically being disemboweled, and soon he died.

Pence-seal then forced his way through the pilot room and locked himself in, where the zombies began to force their way through, and the footage showed that Trumpet became a zombie and joined the others in forcing their way through the pilot room.

After over a minute the zombies break through and both the pilots and Pence-seal can be heard screaming as they are being eaten alive, and after several minutes the footage was cut off as flames engulfed everything, implying that the plane crashed due no one is controlling the plane.

The Americans, particularly Trumpet supporters, slowly wailed as their idol was killed and are now in despair as there is no one who can save America, which other evacuees commented that the Trumpet supporters are now facing a harsh reality that they voted an idiot, and that they themselves are the idiots for voting the wrong candidate, and now America is leaderless following the deaths of the president, vice-president, the house speaker and the Senate president are dead, thus the military are soon about to get disorganized without a commanding officer to direct them.

"Those idiots…"

"They should know by know…"

"They voted the wrong candidate…"

"And now they are paying the price…"

"Serves them right though…"

"Yeah…"

"Now what about now?"

"Great…those idiots are still wailing…"

The evacuees became more irritated as the Trumpet supporters continue to wail as they mourned the death of their idol, proclaiming how GREAT HE IS, and the evacuees were so pissed that they told the Trumpet supporters to wake up and face reality that Trumpet has abandoned America and he paid the price of his own foolishness.

"SHUT UP ALREADY!"

"TRUMPET IS AN IDIOT!"

"CAN'T YOU SEE HE DESERTED US?"

"HE GOT WHAT HE DESERVED!"

"SO WAKE UP ALREADY!"

"STOP WHINING!"

"FACE REALITY!"

"AND WE MEAN IT!"

At the Kuzuryu manor, the survivors were watching the live news and saw what befell Trumpet and his cabinet, and Kyoko just sighed as she noted that America is now in disarray due to having no leader as the president, vice president, the house speaker and the Senate president are all dead, thus it would result in a power vacuum and the remaining politicians are going to vie for that coveted position.

Fuyuhiko agreed and said that the Americans have learned too late that their fellow Americans are so foolish that they are ignorant of their own stupidity and now they will have to pay the price for such stupid actions.

"Those Americans are really stupid…"

"…"

"They ought to face reality and the fact that they voted a fat pig with less brain…"

"I agree. Now America is facing a rather bleak situation."

"Good thing our leaders are not stupid…"

"I wouldn't be sure, Kuzuryu…"

"Huh?"

"…"

Hope you liked this chapter, though it mostly focused on some of the world leaders (fictionalized versions) who seemingly paid the price for ignorance, like what happened to two of the world powers...as they were eaten alive and turned into undead...
