Many thanks to those who read and reviewed this fic. I am really happy and this inspired me to bring in the next chapter, and here the story picks up where the last chapter left, as it would show what implications would be felt following last chapter's debacle…

The scene shifts at the Hero Public Safety Commission headquarters, where the next scene zoomed towards the commissioner's office where the Madame Chairman is overseeing workers removing the debris following a battle which Mirko made as she attempted to intimidate Makima into revealing her intentions on why she sent agents and a few pro heroes to SECRETLY abduct Midoriya and Sakura.
Once the mess was cleaned and the workers left, Madame Chairman is left alone, and moments later, Hawks entered and she greeted the Winged Hero, though he appeared relieved to see her, he got serious as he questioned her why she left someone like Makima in charge of the commission, as he pointed out that if the Madame Chairman hadn't arrived Makima would have succeeded in causing a lot of PR problems.
"Glad that your back, ma'am…"
"Thank you, Hawks..."
"No offence, but…what's running inside your head?"
"Excuse me…?"
"Why appoint someone like Makima to stand in for you? Did you do a background check on her? Did you have any idea that she would abuse her authority and do something like SECRETLY target a 14-year old boy who saved lives during a press conference about FENIX? And that Makima is also attempting to abduct a high school girl who is Quirkless?"
"…"
"Best Jeanist and I somewhat sensed this and it prompted us to defend the minor…and now the agents and pro heroes that Makima sent are also intending to eliminate us."
"…"
Madame Chairman just stared at Hawks, which she was silent for 30 seconds before nodding, and acknowledged that she may have committed an error in leaving Makima in charge, admitted that she made a wrong choice in appointing someone without thoroughly screening someone, as she never thought that Makima would do something like this, and now Madame Chairman assured to Hawks that she is going to clean up the mess Makima made and that she would be more careful in choosing someone to look after the commission should she decided to take another leave of absence.
Best Jeanist came and overheard the discussion, but he said that this won't be easy as choosing a stand-in would be a difficult process as someone like Makima is dangerous if left unchecked, as he revealed that he managed to gain some intel where there are some within the Hero Public Safety Commission are supporting Makima's decision, such as Kishibe, who unabashedly took her side and even willingly aided her in fighting off Mirko despite seeing Makima's questionable ethics and actions.
"I thought I should let you know. Even Mirko was able to figure out what Makima is up to."
"…"
"And despite telling the agents about this they still choose to obey Makima without question. Even Kishibe and the Quirkless agents willingly followed her command as if they are PROGRAMMED."
"I do not deny it. You are right."
"Then I would advise that you should forego another leave of absence until you are sure about who to leave in charge if that person is not corrupt and power-hungry."
"Yes, of course."
"And another thing, Madame Chairman..."
"…"
As Hawks watches on as Jeanist advises Madame Chairman to be careful and wary towards anyone and everyone within the commission, the door swings open as Denji and Power barges in, calling out for Makima as they demanded to know why she suddenly cancelled their assignment, which Hawks and Best Jeanist mentally sighed as they wondered why a pair of immature youngsters like Denji and Power became agents for the Hero Public Safety Commission.
"Hey, Makima!"
"What the heck is the meaning of this?"
"Why did you call off the assignment?"
"You said that…huh? Hey…where is she…?"
"Huh?"
"She's not here…"
"Hey, Makima! Stop hiding and face us!"
"Yeah! You got a lot of explaining to do!"

Madame Chairman remained calm as Denji and Power were complaining about their efforts being wasted, reasoning that they went all-out in trying to subdue Midoriya, only for them to get an order to stop and return here, which Hawks and Best Jeanist sweat-dropped seeing that Denji and Power didn't realize that they are talking to the Madame Chairman instead of Makima, which Hawks wondered who was responsible for inducting the two youngsters here in the first place.
Jeanist whispered back, saying that Makima is likely the one who recruited them, and given that the two youngsters here are ranting, it is sure that she used some underhanded means to make Denji and Power members of the Hero Public Safety Commission.
"Oh boy…that Makima is one heck of a headache…"
"Couldn't agree more…"
"What's gotten into her head and recruited a pair of immature recruits?"
"Beats me…but this shows that Makima is indeed a dangerous individual…she somehow manipulated those two to abduct Midoriya and Igarashi without question…"
"Thank goodness Madame Chairman got back in time…otherwise…"
"Yeah…the Hero Public Safety Commission would be put into a bad spotlight…"
"Now Madame Chairman will have to go an extra mile to clean up the mess Makima left…"
"Indeed…"
Denji and Power stopped ranting as they finally noticed that it was not Makima who is in front of them but the Madame Chairman, and there she told the two youngsters that she has relieved Makima of her temporary position and she is serving on a probationary capacity, and there she told Denji and Power that they are going to undergo some lectures on how to become responsible pro heroes.
Denji and Power stared incredulously and asked how would they get their REWARD as they revealed that Makima promised them should they completed their tasks, but Madame Chairman said that she is willing to make a compromise if Denji and Power agreed to undergo a CRASH COURSE, and the two reluctantly accepted.
"…and that's my proposition. Are you amendable to that…?"
"Hmm…what do you think, Power…?"
"Hmph. I guess this is better than nothing…"
"So you kids accept?"
"Fine."
"Me too."
"Good. You two can go. I will join you shortly."
"…"
"…"
As Denji and Power left, Hawks wondered if Madame Chairman did the right thing, which Jeanist said that this is better than letting Denji and Power go on a rampage, and as Madame Chairman assured to the two pro heroes that she will rectify the mess that Makima left, the monitor that was attached to the wall blared, and it shows that Karizaki appeared, and he sports a rather serious demeanor.
Karizaki noticed Hawks and Best Jeanist and he thanked them for protecting Sakura Igarashi from the agents of the Hero Public Safety Commission, and there he went straight to the point and demanded an explanation from the Madame Chairman on why she sent agents and even pro heroes to abduct Sakura Igarashi and Izuku Midoriya.
Madame Chairman then calmly explained everything that it was Makima who gave the order, and that Hawks and Best Jeanist here became aware of this and attempted to stop the agents whilst Madame Chairman herself received an anonymous tip of what is happening, and she hurriedly went back to the Hero Public Safety Commission headquarters to put a stop to this, as she admitted that she was the one who put Makima in charge while she went on an official business.
This didn't sit well with Karizaki as he told Madame Chairman that the agents who served Makima slaughtered several of the FENIX troopers and are also willing to kill just to get their hands on Midoriya, and he accuses Madame Chairman and the Hero Public Safety Commission for having an ulterior motive in wanting to SECRETLY abduct Sakura and Midoriya.
Of course Madame Chairman deny the accusations and reiterated that she would decide on what sanctions would be levied towards Makima for the trouble she caused, which made Karizaki doubt her words and asked if she is serious about what she said, saying that he doesn't appeared to be convinced, yet she assured to Karizaki that she would see to it that the Hero Public Safety Commission would never cause trouble anymore.
"Really, Madame Chairman...?"
"Yes."
"You believe that what happened recently would never happen again?"
"Yes. I'll see to that."
"How can you be sure? There's a chance that there are ones who would follow her instead of you…"
"That will never happen again. You have my word."
"Really?"
"Yes, really."
Hawks and Best Jeanist stood there as they can tell that Karizaki is serious and him accusing Madame Chairman and the Hero Public Safety Commission is something that should be taken seriously, and there Madame Chairman assured to Karizaki that an incident like this would never happen again, as she told Karizaki that Makima has been relieved of her post and is placed under probation.
Karizaki adjusted his eyeglasses and tells her that he might have difficulty in calming his superiors after hearing what she just said, and there he tells Madame Chairman that she should PERSONALLY go to the Igarashi house and apologize to Sakura and Midoriya in person, saying that Makima's actions are still tied to the Hero Public Safety Commission, hence if she wanted for the commission to SAVE FACE, she should go there and offer a SINCERE APOLOGY.
"You should go to the Igarashi residence and personally apologize to the two minors. If you do that, it might make them consider that you are sincere. Think you could do that, Madame Chairman...?"
"Yes."
"You believe that you could convince the Igarashi family that what happened recently would never happen again?"
"Yes. I'll see to that."
"Think you could pull it off? Can you assure to the Igarashi family that Makima and her followers would that family alone?"
"Yes. I will see to it. You have my word."
"Really?"
"Yes, really."
After that, Karizaki left, and there Hawks solemnly told the Madame Chairman that FENIX is now wary towards the Hero Public Safety Commission, especially when the commission refused to answer calls when Endeavor unknowingly assume that Midoriya was the attacker, and then just several minutes ago Makima sent some agents and pro heroes to try abducting Sakura and Midoriya.
Madame Chairman nodded and said that she will get to work and undo the mess that Makima left, assuring that a mess like this will never happen again and would see to it that Makima won't go out of control again.
"Really, Madame Chairman...?"
"Yes."
"You believe that what happened recently would never happen again?"
"Yes. I'll see to that."
"How can you be sure? There's a chance that there are ones who would follow Makima and might plot to…"
"That will never happen again. You have my word."
"Really?"
"Yes, really."
After that, the Madame Chairman leaves the office, and several seconds later she passed by the hallway and saw the agents standing there, which comprises of the following persons who followed Makima's orders in attempting to apprehend Sakura and Midoriya, which are:
- Himeno
- Hiroakazu
- Aki
There Madame Chairman confronted the trio and told them to head for her office as she is going to give them a stern sermon in regards to what happened earlier, and though the trio seemed to be unrepentant as they are just following orders from Makima, they reluctantly nodded as they found out that Madame Chairman is back as the commissioner of the Hero Public Safety Commission.
"Come with me. I will give you a stern lecture."
"Yes, ma'am."
"Yes, ma'am."
"Yes, ma'am."
"And don't think of sneaking out. Or you will be penalized."
"Yes, ma'am."
"Yes, ma'am."
"Yes, ma'am."
And by coincidence, Kishibe happened to pass by, and there Madame Chairman told him to hear for her office as she too is going to him a strict dressing down, which Kishibe tried to sarcastically rebut yet she wasn't amused by his counter-comments.
"Come with me. I will give you a stern lecture as well…"
"Do I really have to, ma'am…?"
"Yes."
"Oh dear…"
"And don't think of sneaking out. Or you will be penalized."
"Oh dear…"
"So stop whining like a child and come along."
"Uh-oh…"

At FENIX Skybase, Karizaki told Wakabayashi about what went on a few minutes ago, and while the FENIX commander seemingly feel satisfied with the outcome, Kadota remained apprehensive, saying that even if Madame Chairman regain control, there is a possibility that there are rogue members of the Hero Public Safety Commission, given how some of the agents and pro heroes willingly followed Makima's orders even though it is shown that neither Sakura and Midoriya pose a threat, though Karizaki said that should that happen, then FENIX would respond in kind.
"So you believe that the Hero Public Safety Commission shouldn't be trusted?"
"Personally, I'm still suspicious, and you are right in feeling that way."
"Glad to hear that, Karizaki."
"I have a feeling that this Makima is dead-set in taking Midoriya and Sakura Igarashi…hence I have a feeling that she might plan a coup d'etat and take over that commission…"
"So then…"
"We should be on our guard and not get complacent. We keep an eye and see if someone from the Hero Public Safety Commission is making a move…"
"I agree."
"Of course."
Daiji came and overheard the discussion, and agreed that FENIX should remain vigilant, reasoning that he believe that there appeared to be something SINISTER going on given that the Hero Public Safety Commission agents are so determined to take Sakura and Midoriya by force, which is shown that they killed several FENIX troopers in cold blood, which Kadota agreed.
Wakabayashi then told Daiji, Karizaki and Kadota to be vigilant as what they say is a possibility, and at the same time he feels that someone like Makima would not yield so easily, and there he told Karizaki, Daiji and Kadota to be ready for anything, saying that for now FENIX should be wary towards the Hero Public Safety Commission, and the three nodded in acknowledgement.
"Be ready for anything. I doubt that this Makima would give up after being forced out of her position within the Hero Public Safety Commission."
"Yes sir."
"Yes sir."
"Yes sir."
"And let me know if you happen to see any signs. Got that?"
"Yes sir."
"Yes sir."
"Yes sir."

At the Igarashi house, the scene shifts at Midoriya's room where he and Sakura are talking, and it shows that they too are feeling apprehensive towards the Hero Public Safety Commission, after learning that both him and Sakura were targeted, and it was a miraculous stroke of luck that Madame Chairman return and relieved Makima of her current position, yet this only made Sakura and Midoriya feel more worried, as Genta and Yukimi might get caught in the crossfire.
"So you were targeted too, Sakura…"
"And I had no idea they were after you…"
"Why would the Hero Public Safety Commission want with you? I mean…you were Quirkless…"
"I keep telling them that…but they wouldn't listen…"
"Maybe they think that you have an inner akuma like me…"
"That can't be…! I mean…if I do have one I would have shown signs…!"
"Maybe my presence here is putting you all at risk…"
"Don't say that, Izuku…!"
At the master bedroom, Genta and Yukimi are having a PRIVATE conversation, as they too are wary towards the Hero Public Safety Commission after learning from Daiji about what happened, and there the parents are considering in having Sakura and Izuku sent to the FENIX Skybase as a way to protect the two teens, as they have a feeling that Makima might do something underhanded just to get her hands on the two minors.
"Genta…maybe we should send Sakura and Izuku to FENIX..."
"Maybe…at least they would be safe there…"
"Yes…if the kids stay here…the Hero Public Safety Commission agents might harass the kids again…"
"That's what I'm thinking…"
"Lets ask Daiji about this…"
"You're right. This would be for the best…"
"We should contact Daiji immediately…"
"Okay…"

Hope you liked this chapter, as this acted as an aftermath following several chapters of hard-hitting action…and while the Madame Chairman is back, not everyone within the Hero Public Safety Commission welcomed her back as some support Makima, showing that corruption is running rampant within the commission…
Midoriya and Sakura are home safely, yet they are anticipating that someone from the Hero Public Safety Commission might make another attempt to abduct the teens…
