Ch. 46: Atarashī wariate part 1

The scene shifts at the classroom of Class 80, where Kibo is with his classmates as they are in the midst of attending classes as the teacher is giving a lecture, and so far things are peaceful and after several minutes the subject ended, and as the teacher left, Kibo is approached by his classmates as they wanted to ask him how his recent assignment went by, as they are aware that Kibo teamed up with Naegi in dealing with the hostage-takers and defeated them after a hard-fought battle.

The Class 80 members of Hope's Peak Superhero Academy consists of the following students, which are:

- Kaede Akamatsu - The Pianist

- Suichi Saihara – The Detective Boy

- Kokichi Oma - The President

- Tsumugi Shirogane - Lady Cosplayer

- Ryoma Hoshi - The Racket Warrior

- Miu Iruma – Gadget Girl

- Maki Harukawa – Lady Sensei

- Himiko Yumeno – The Mage

- Gonta Gokuhara – Insector

- Korekiyo Shinguji – Mr. Folklore

- Kirumi Tojo - Mistress Maid

- Tenko Chibashira – Aikido Mistress

- Kaito Momota - The Astronaut

The Class 80 members listened as Kibo explained what happened during the hostage crisis, and how he and Naegi ended up at another place after hitching onto the helicopter to stop the remaining hostage-takers from escaping, and there his classmates expressed bafflement on why Jin did not sent more Hope's Peak students as backup knowing that the Shade terrorists are heavily armed and killed some hostages.

"This is baffling…"

"Why the did headmaster sent only you and Naegi at Shibuya? It would have been more efficient if the headmaster sent more students…"

"Yeah…given that those terrorists killed quite a lot of hostages…"

"I think the headmaster made a lapse in judgement…"

"Me too. Naegi and Kibo aren't enough…maybe the headmaster should have thought about it before making a decision…"

"My thoughts exactly…"

"What do you think…?"

"Hmm…"

Seeing how concerned they are, Kibo assured to his classmates that what's important is that he and Naegi completed the assignment and defeated the Shade terrorists and the surviving hostages are saved, which Class 80 members were glad to hear that Kibo wasn't complaining, and expressed hope that they too would be given an assignment where they would so superhero stuffs and all.

"I wish the headmaster would send us to a mission. I really look forward to do some superhero stuff…you guys also feel the same, right?"

"Yeah!"

After that, Kizakura came and there he told Saihara and Akamatsu that the headmaster wishes to see them, and there the two students blinked their eyes as they wondered what the headmaster wants, which Kibo believe that perhaps the headmaster has decided that an assignment is made and chose Saihara and Akamatsu as the ones suitable for a particular assignment.

"Huh?"

"Eh?"

"That's what I'm thinking. I believe that the headmaster decided to choose you to do a particular superhero assignment."

"Really?"

"For real?"

"That's my hunch."

"Well…"

"If that's the case…"

"You two should go see the headmaster."

Saihara and Akamatsu glanced at each other before deciding to go with Kizakura as the two students left the classroom, and there the rest of Class 80 wonder when they would get their turn, and Kibo assured to his classmates that their time would come, and urged them to be patient, which the Class 80 members nodded in agreement.

"Okay!"

Meanwhile, the scene shifts at the classroom of Class 78, where Makoto Naegi is with his classmates who are listening to the lecture from a teacher, who is discussing about the basics of what a pro hero do in certain situations, and after several minutes the lecture ended where the teacher left the classroom, while Naegi sighed as the subject ended, and as he stretched his arms, his classmates did the same and are now waiting for the next teacher to arrive.

The students, who are classmates with Naegi are shown, and they turn out to be members of Class 78, and are identified as:

- Kyoko Kirigiri (Detective Girl)

- Byakuya Togqmi (The Progeny)

- Aoi Asahina (Aqua Girl)

- Yasuhiro Hagakure (The Soothsayer)

- Sayaka Maizono (Idol Mistress)

- Leon Kuwata (MVP)

- Chihiro Fujisaki (Whiz Kid)

- Mondo Ohwada (The Biker)

- Kiyotaka Ishimaru (The Prefect)

- Hifumi Yamada (The Doujin Writer)

- Sakura Ohgami (The Ogre)

As the students are waiting for the next teacher to arrive, Maizono approached Naegi and strike up a conversation, and as the two teens chatted, Hagakure is checking his crystal ball and SAW something, which he eagerly approached Naegi and Maizono, telling them what HE SAW, saying that Naegi and Maizono would go on a ROMANTIC DATE, and that it would attract the attention of other potential suitors who would get SERIOUSLY jealous towards Naegi, which Naegi stared in disbelief while Maizono mentally liked the possibility of going on a date with Naegi.

"Huh? Me and Maizono…?"

"Really…?"

"That's what my crystal ball said…"

"Uh…"

"Me and Naegi…going on a date…"

"Well…it's based on the fortune I read just now…"

"Hagakure…"

"A date…with Naegi…"

Meanwhile, Togami is reading a book, but he discreetly noticed that members of the Steering Committee are discreetly spying, and there Togami SECRETLY noticed that the Steering Committee members are glaring towards Naegi, and there Togami pretended to move to another area, where he secretly informed Ohgami and Ohwada what is going on outside.

Outside the classroom, the Steering Committee members are spying on Naegi, expressing disgust that a student who originally started as a Reserve Course student is MINGLING with the Main Course students, and they sternly believe that Naegi doesn't belong in the Main Course department, and the Steering Committee members are discussing about how to evict Naegi from the Main Course department without exposing themselves.

"We got to do something…"

"That Naegi is tainting the image of Hope's Peak Superhero Academy..."

"He even BRAINWASHED the Main Course students into befriending him…that brat has the nerve…"

"He's a damn opportunist!"

"We need to find a way to get him expelled!"

"How about we plant some evidence?"

"Yeah! That could work!"

"Good idea!"

However, the Steering Committee members were startled as Ohwada and Ohgami showed up, and confronted the Steering Committee members, demanding to know why are they harassing Naegi even though he did nothing wrong to them, and the Steering Committee members were speechless as they couldn't come up with a sudden alibi, and there the two Class 78 members told the Steering Committee members to leave and to stop harassing Naegi or else they would be compelled to expose them to the media.

"What was that?"

"You dare?"

"You heard us. If you continue to harass Naegi we will expose you."

"And that means you'll be the ones who'll get expelled, you bastards!"

"How dare you…"

"Are you challenging us? All because of that opportunistic brat who is just a lowly reserve course student?"

"Naegi earned the right through hard work, and never cheated his way up."

"So do us a favor and leave Naegi alone!"

As the Steering Committee members are about to stand their ground, Kizakura came and adjusted his hat as he asked what is going on here, and the Steering Committee members reluctantly left, and there Ohwada and Ohgami told Kizakura what is going on, and the latter assured to the two students that there is nothing to worry about.

He then went inside the classroom where he called out for Naegi and Maizono, telling them that the headmaster wishes to talk to them at the headmaster's office, which Naegi asked if there is a problem, though Kizakura said that he is unsure as he was only told that he was sent here to pick up Naegi and Maizono and nothing else, but said that maybe the two might be given an assignment.

Naegi and Maizono glanced at each other before deciding to go with Kizakura and left, while Kuwata asked Hagakure if he is sure about what he said about Naegi and Maizono going on a date, which Hagakure insisted that what he said is based on WHAT HE SAW in his crystal ball.

"That's what my crystal ball said…"

"Are you serious?"

"Huh?"

"Naegi taking Maizono on a date?"

"Well…"

"Tell me the truth!"

"Uh…"

"Come on, come on…"

As Kizakura escorted Naegi and Maizono, some Main Course department students were staring at Naegi, which they expressed contempt as they still could not accept that a mere Reserve Course student like Naegi got scouted and transferred to the Main Course department, and believed that Naegi CHEATED his way here or bribed Kizakura into tricking the headmaster into accepting Naegi and facilitated his transfer to the Main Course department.

"That guy…I bet he bribed the headmaster and now he's strutting around…it's unacceptable! Do you agree with me, guys?"

"Yeah!"

As the Main Course department students expressed desire to get Naegi to drop out of Hope's Peak Superhero Academy, they were taken by surprise as Kibo, Hoshi, Gokuhara and Harukawa stood there and warned them to leave Naegi alone, or else there would be SERIOUS repercussions if they insist on harassing Naegi because of the fact that he started as a Reserve Course student who was legitimately recognized and transferred to the Main Course department.

"You heard us."

"Stop harassing Naegi."

"Leave him alone."

"He didn't do anything to you."

"So stop whatever you're plotting."

"Or you'll be facing us."

"And we mean it!"

"That's right!"

The Main Course students were taken by surprise and yet they couldn't believe that even Class 80 would defend Naegi and they demanded to know why Class 80 would DEGRADE themselves by MINGLING with someone beneath them like Naegi, yet Kibo said that Naegi earned the right and has proven himself, hence there is no reason for the main course students to resent Naegi for no reason, which the Main Course students reiterated that Naegi has no right being in the Main Course department.

"Listen here! Makoto Naegi is a lowly reserve course student…and therefore he has no right being here! So he should be banned from the Main Course department and be expelled from this academy! Are you with me, guys?"

"Yeah!"

Hope you liked this chapter, in which Naegi is moving on after the hostage situation assignment…but then he gets called by the headmaster, along with Maizono, while at the same time Saihara and Akamatsu were also summoned by the headmaster…
