Ch. 47: Atarashī wariate part 2

As Kizakura escorted Naegi and Maizono out of the classroom, the rest of Class 78, except for Kirigiri, Togami and Ishimaru, were feeling a bit envious as they assume that Naegi is set off for another assignment, and this time Maizono is going along, which made the majority of the class curious as to what kind of mission Naegi and Maizono would be assigned to, and expressed hope that they too would be given assignments as well.

"Wow…Naegi gets a new assignment…"

"And Maizono is with him…"

"He sure is LUCKY…"

"Really envied the guy…"

"Sure wish I get a call…"

"Me too…"

"Same here…"

"Yeah…"

Kuwata is seen still pestering Hagakure about the FORTUNE he SAW on his crystal ball, curious to know of Naegi and Maizono would really go on a date, which Hagakure reiterated that what he SEES on his crystal ball and nothing else at the moment.

"I tell you…it's just what my crystal ball said…"

"Really…?"

"Yeah…"

"So Naegi and Maizono go on a date…?"

"Can't say for sure…"

"Come on…"

"I told you, Kuwata…"

"Try reading your crystal ball again…"

Outside the classroom, some hostile students within the Main Course department were staring at Naegi with contempt, seeing him as a mere garbage, and are still in denial over the fact that he got scouted and transferred to the Main Course department of Hope's Peak Academy, and they believe that Naegi either cheated his way through or bribed Kizakura.

As the Main Course department students expressed desire to get Naegi to drop out of Hope's Peak Superhero Academy, they were taken by surprise as Kibo, Hoshi, Gokuhara and Harukawa stood there and warned them to leave Naegi alone, or else there would be SERIOUS repercussions if they insist on harassing Naegi because of the fact that he started as a Reserve Course student who was legitimately recognized and transferred to the Main Course department.

"You heard us."

"Stop harassing Naegi."

"Leave him alone."

"He didn't do anything to you."

"So stop whatever you're plotting."

"Or you'll be facing us."

"And we mean it!"

"That's right!"

The Main Course students were taken by surprise and yet they couldn't believe that even Class 80 would defend Naegi and they demanded to know why Class 80 would DEGRADE themselves by MINGLING with someone beneath them like Naegi, yet Kibo said that Naegi earned the right and has proven himself, hence there is no reason for the main course students to resent Naegi for no reason, which the Main Course students reiterated that Naegi has no right being in the Main Course department.

"Listen here! Makoto Naegi is a lowly reserve course student…and therefore he has no right being here! So he should be banned from the Main Course department and be expelled from this academy! Are you with me, guys?"

"Yeah!"

However, majority of Class 78 came out of the classroom, having overheard the argument, and they warned the hostile Main Course students to heed the warning and leave Naegi alone, or else they would regret it, which the hostile Main Course students were flabbergasted at seeing this, believing that Naegi has INFECTED the Main Course students with his presence, and there the hostile Main Course students were forced to leave the scene.

Asahina approached Kibo and his classmates and thanked him for defending Naegi, which the teen cyborg said that it is nothing as Naegi is their friend and that Class 80 also deem Naegi as their friend, which Asahina smiled and she invited Kibo, Hoshi, Gokuhara and Harukawa to come inside Class 78's classroom and socialize, which the four Class 80 members accepted.

"So why not come inside our classroom and have a chat with us?"

"Really?"

"Seriously?"

"For real?"

"Yeah, why not? So…would you accept?"

"Yeah!"

As Kibo and his three classmates went inside the classroom of Class 78, the scene shifts outside of the classroom, where the Steering Committee members are spying after inadvertently witnessed what just happened, in which they were expressing disgust and contempt that a student who originally started as a Reserve Course student is already MINGLING with some of the Main Course students, and now the Steering Committee members began to act like paranoids seeing that two ELITE sections, Class 78 and 80, are ALREADY BECOMING FRIENDS with Naegi, and this made the Steering Committee members believe that the Main Course department is slowly getting INFECTED by the boy's presence, and they sternly believe that Naegi doesn't TRULY belong in the Main Course department, and the Steering Committee members are discussing about how to evict Naegi from the Main Course department AS SOON AS POSSIBLE, without exposing themselves.

"We got to do something…"

"That Naegi is indeed a PANDEMIC…look at what he did…he is tainting the image of Hope's Peak Superhero Academy..."

"He even BRAINWASHED the Main Course students into befriending him…and two elite sections have been INFECTED! That damn brat has the nerve…"

"He's a damn opportunist! And a ticking time bomb!"

"We need to find a way to get him expelled! If we don't, the status quo of Hope's Peak Academy will shift into a huge imbalance!"

"I know! How about we plant some evidence and make it appear that we caught him in the act?"

"Yeah! That could work!"

"Good idea!"

However, members of the student council of the Main Course department passed by, and asked the Steering Committee members about what they are plotting, claiming that it SOUNDS INTERESTING, which the Steering Committee members were taken by surprise as getting caught in the act by the student council members who are staring at them with contempt and suspicion.

"WE ARE SORRY!"

"FORGIVE US!"

"WE DIDN'T MEAN TO!"

"SPARE US!"

"FORGIVE US!"

"THE VILLAINS MADE US DO IT!"

"PLEASE FORGIVE US!"

"WE'LL DO ANYTHING!"

The student council president then told the Steering Committee members to get going and do their jobs and the student council members would forget what happened just now, and the Steering Committee members left in a hurry, and there the student council members are more curious, wondering if Naegi has the mental strength to face more challenges, as aside from the Steering Committee members, some Main Course department students are opposed to the fact that a reserve course student got scouted and transferred to the Main Course department and sees him as someone who must be crushed just because they see Naegi as someone who is beneath them.

"That kid…he really is…"

"Makoto Naegi…he is calm in the face of adversity…and now even two elite sections of the Main Course department are receptive towards that boy…yet there are some within the Main Course department who are against him…"

"What does everyone see in him…? Why the hostility towards Naegi?"

"Does anyone really believe that Naegi can survive 5 onslaught of the hostile main course students…?"

"I am conflicted…"

"Me too."

"What should we do…?"

"No idea…"

The student council members discreetly peered towards the classroom where Kibo, Hoshi, Gokuhara and Harukawa are socializing with Class 78, where they are discussing about Naegi in a friendly way, and the student council members smirked, seeing that Naegi is indeed INFECTIOUS, but in a positive way, and the student council president told his fellow student council members that they should protect Naegi from UNDESIRABLE detractors, which they all agree.

"Yes, president."

As the student council members left, they didn't notice that they were being watched and their conversation was overheard, and it shows that two persons were standing behind a corner and happened to witness what took place, and now the two persons find themselves intrigued about Naegi, who started off as a Reserve Course student who somehow got scouted and transferred to the Main Course department, befriended two elite sections, and earned the ire of some hostile Main Course students and even the Steering Committee members.

The two persons are revealed to be alumni of Hope's Peak Superhero Academy, and they happened to come here to conduct an inspection, and they are identified as:

- Kyosuke Munakata

- Juzo Sakakura

Sakakura asked Munakata if he sees Naegi as a threat as his presence has put the students on edge, with one side wanted to kick Naegi out of the academy while the other side are protective towards Naegi, though Munakata said that for now they should just observe and wait, as he expressed interest in seeing what Naegi can do after hearing about how he handled the Shibuya hostage situation.

"You sure about this, Munakata?"

"For now, Sakakura."

"Really…is that Naegi really a big deal…?"

"Its possible. He started off as a Reserve Course student…but he somehow got noticed and was scouted before being transferred to the Main Course department."

"So I heard…"

"And now even the Steering Committee members are on edge…"

"Those idiots…they really have no shame…"

"Couldn't agree more, Sakakura…"

Seconds later the two men are joined by another person, a female who appeared to be acquaintances of Munakata and Sakakura, and there she greeted the two, who greeted her in response, showing that they know each other, where it is revealed that she is also an alumni of Hope's Peak Superhero Academy, where she is identified as Chisa Yukizome, who happened to be Munakata and Sakakura's classmate during their time as students.

There she revealed that she is being summoned by Jin as he is offering her a job at Hope's Peak Superhero Academy, and there Munakata told her what she needs to do, which she nodded in acknowledgement.

"Yukizome…you know what to do, right?"

"Yeah."

"And you know the risks involved?"

"Yeah."

"But see to it that you won't get caught."

"Yeah."

"So we're clear?"

"Yeah."

Minutes later, the scene shifts inside the headmaster's office where Jin is waiting until Kizakura arrived, with Naegi and Maizono in tow, and the two teens were surprised to see that Saihara and Akamatsu are also there, and the latter two students were also surprised to see Naegi and Maizono coming here as well, not expecting to see them here.

"Huh?"

"Aren't they…?"

"Huh? Naegi…?"

"Naegi!"

"Saihara? Akamatsu?"

"You know them, Naegi?"

"Naegi…were you summoned too…?"

"What a coincidence…"

Jin then spoke and told the four teens that he summoned them here as he said that he is assigning them for an assignment and felt that the four of them would be enough, saying that they are going to assist the police as there is a situation at this time and that the four teens' help are needed, surprising Naegi, Maizono, Saihara and Akamatsu, as they didn't expect that they would be assigned to do a hero activity so soon and so sudden.

Hope you liked this chapter, in which Naegi is moving on after the hostage situation assignment…but then he gets called by the headmaster, along with Maizono, while at the same time Saihara and Akamatsu were also summoned by the headmaster…
