Chapter 8

Now, sneaking into the restaurant's kitchen without being detected was no problem for Lincoln. All he has to do now is to wait by the safe that contains his dad's handwritten cookbook.

Lincoln (Looks over and starts talking to the readers): "It's a known family fact: When Dad gets an order for a dish that he hasn't made in a while, he'll go check his cookbook for the recipe. It usually happens almost every night. So, when Dad opens the safe to get the book, I'll sneak in before he locks it back up."

Lincoln didn't have to wait long though, as Lynn Sr. comes in and goes straight to the safe, punching in the combination code.

Lynn Sr. (With a smile): "Hello my old friend!"

He gives the book a hug before flipping through the pages to find the recipe for…

Lynn Sr.: "Lynn-So-Soup! Should have it done in less than 30 minutes."

Lynn Sr. then puts the book back in the safe, locking it up. Along with his son who snuck in before the chef could even notice.

Lincoln: "Let's see…"

Lincoln starts to look around, noticing that besides his dad's cookbook, there's a ton of money scattered around the floor of the safe. Along with a framed picture of the night Lynn Sr. opened his restaurant.

Lincoln: "I really need to remind Dad to take all this money to the bank after this."

He then puts his hands together, giving his knuckles a satisfying crack.

Lincoln: "Time for some rearranging."

As the night goes on, more and more families come into Lynn's Table to dine. Including a family of three: A mother, father, and their adorable five-year-old daughter. Her name is Destiny, and she's a bit taller than Lisa, shorter than the twins. Tan skin and she has the biggest and shiniest pair of blue eyes you'll ever see.

Her raven hair is brushed down with a sparkly red hairband attached. She is sporting a nice red frilly dress, with bows, which are a lighter shade of red, placed around the brim. White frilly socks and black Mary Jane shoes are on her feet. And she is carrying a little red handbag over her shoulder.

?: "Right this way please."

Kotaro says as he leads the family to their table. But as soon as Destiny's parents took their seats.

Destiny (With pleading eyes): "Mommy…Daddy…may I PLEASE be excused to the bathroom?"

Destiny's Dad: "Of course you can princess."

Destiny's Mom: "Be sure to ask the nice waiter, where the bathrooms are."

As the little girl turns to Kotaro, the pupils in her eyes grow bigger.

Destiny: "Mr. Waiter, can you please tell me where the little girl's room is?"

Kotaro looks down at her with an adoring smile.

Kotaro: "Why of course little lady."

He turns and points towards the doors of the kitchen where on the side of them are the men's and women's bathrooms.

Destiny (Dose a little curtsy): "Thank you!"

She says before skipping to the restroom. Kotaro then turns back to face Destiny's parents.

Kotaro: "You two sure have a polite little angle on your hands.

Destiny's Parents (In sync): "We're very blessed."

A blessing or a polite little angel are the wrong words to describe destiny. Why may you ask? Well, while no one was looking, instead of going into the bathroom, that so-called angel sneaks her way into the kitchen, all while displaying the coldest of faces anyone could show.
