Danganronpa: Gleipnir

Hello and welcome to another experimental fanfic of My Hero Academia, in which a new inspiration popped into my head in an unexpected way, which happened in a sudden way, and this new inspiration would be different from the ones I upload recently.
This all started when I was browsing my Facebook account on my smartphone, where I accidentally came across an anime that began broadcasting a day after its premiere in Japan three years ago (April 5, 2020), which the title is called Gleipnir. While I felt a bit weird about the title, I immediately checked the Wikipedia site and saw the cover of the manga, and out of curiosity I downloaded the video from my Facebook and immediately watched it.
As much as I hate to admit, I find myself fascinated due to its content and rather weird plot, but somehow I was able to relate and though the anime only aired for 13 episodes, I was able to find the site for the manga version and am surprised that it was several chapters ahead.
After watching the anime and reading some of the manga chapters, a sudden idea hit me, as the main characters of Gleipnir are somewhat similar to the characters of my Hero Academia, and after some time, I decided to make a fanfic version based on Gleipnir, and immediately selected Izuku Midoriya as the main lead.
It took me quite some time to come up with the female lead, and eventually settled on someone, who would turn out to be Camie Utsushimi, and there she will portray the heroine (or anti-heroine) since her vibe and attitude comes close to the female lead of Gleipnir, so the Izuku x Camie pairing fits perfectly.
Since this is a My Hero Academia fic, other characters will pop out once in a while as I read the Gleipnir manga chapters and will see how I would mix the two plots together.
However, this fic would be slightly AU, for a certain reason, so expect some changes though it would roughly similar to its source material.
Lastly, while there will be some ecchi moments here, and depending on the device…this would be rated M…

Ch. 1: Prologue
Japan.
The country that is located within South East Asia, quite near different Asian countries such as China, Taiwan and the Philippines, is seen and that country is ruled by the Diet, and are handled by the Emperor and the Prime Minister. After their defeat at World War II, the country began to change for the better, and for several decades Japan vastly improved, mostly in the technological department yet their culture and values remained the same, as most Japanese citizens remained hospitable to visitors, residents and tourists alike.
The scene then zoomed further and you can see that the scene shows that the place being shown is Tokyo, which is bustling with people who are walking the busy streets, some riding vehicles, and others riding on bicycles. There are several types of people seen on the streets; adults, children, and even infants being carried by their parents. Businessmen, businesswomen, students, policemen, all kinds of persons are seen, and they were doing their usual activities as if they do not mind it.
Shops are open and the merchants are selling their merchandise and are enticing people to buy them in hopes of earning money. It was a typical day and it seems that people today are lively and felt that their lives are full of blessings and couldn't ask for anything more, as some are happy with stable jobs, students studying in the best schools, and more, and some even chatted with one another feeling that today is a good day.
"Hey!"
"Nice day, isn't it?"
"Today is a good day..."
"I love my job..."
"Life is so good..."
"I wish I have a good day..."
"Lots of money..."
"Lots of girls..."

The scene then zoomed further and you can see that it is nighttime, and the scene shows that the place being shown is Tokyo, which is bustling with people who are walking the busy streets, some riding vehicles, and others riding on bicycles. The time now is 19:00, where it is the right time where people from all walks of life in society are seen passing by, having spent the whole day on their numerous activities and are now using this time to wind up and relax.
There are several types of people seen on the streets at this busy night; adults, children, and even infants being carried by their parents. Businessmen, businesswomen, students, policemen, all kinds of persons are seen, and they were doing their usual activities as if they do not mind it.
Shops are still open at this time, and the merchants are selling their merchandise and are enticing people to buy them in hopes of earning money. Meanwhile, the scene shifts at a middle school somewhere at Tokyo, where currently classes are ongoing until it was break-time, and the scene shifts at a classroom, where a few middle school students are there, chatting happily, and are discussing about the usual thing, such as the current trends, the latest gadgets and even the current blockbuster movies at the theatres.
"Hey, check this out…"
"Wow…that's…"
"Trendy…didn't know it was already at the stores by this time…"
"Listen…the current movie really rocks!"
"Yeah…Doctor Strange is such a hit!"
"How about Jumanji?"
"Take a look…both Nokia and Samsung's got the latest smartphone…"
"Too expensive…my pocket is already hurting…"
The middle school in question is identified as Aldera Middle School, which is situated near the central business district where malls, banks, restaurant and other establishments are located where students and even workers frequently hang out.
The scene zoomed inside Aldera Middle School, where you can see that most students are attending classes, and some are having P. E. lessons at the gymnasium. The scene then shifts to a classroom somewhere near the infirmary, where a few students are there. As the classroom at the moment is nearly emptied, as only a handful are there due to most of the students are out, the ones inside the classroom are chatting and talking about the usual topics and trend, such as the news and current trends, which include:
- A pro-hero group with a motif of a cat is seen waging war against a drug-dealing gang
- A fashion model who is also a pro-hero having snakes on her head seen in front of the cover of every fashion magazines all over Japan
- A pro-hero becoming the talk of the town as he steered his team to numerous victories in taking down criminal groups using threads
Finally, the students began discussing one interesting topic, which is the current talk of the town, which is UA Academy, where they heard that those who were passed the entrance exams and went on to study there are said to be guaranteed success in becoming a pro-hero once he/she graduates, and the Aldera Middle School students were awed as they heard that the ambience, the facilities and the like are well-known and state-of-the-art, and they wondered if there is a chance that one of them gets selected and study at UA Academy, though they know that chances are somewhat slim as passing the entrance exams are not that easy, given that every middle schools all over Japan are many .
"Man…sure wish that I would pass the entrance exams…"
"Me too…"
"Imagine…we'd be fawned if we became students at UA Academy…"
"Do you guys have a Quirk or something?"
"Um…"
"Well…"
"Thought so. Keep dreaming."
"And be ready to be turned down if you fail the entrance exams…"
The scene then shows that one particular student is seen staring at the window, staring into the sky, and he seemed to be in his own world, and the classmates noted that he seemed to be having an ordinary thought as he appeared ordinary and nothing special, and knew that he is having another ordinary moment in an ordinary day.
That student is Izuku Midoriya, who is 14 years old, and he is staring at the skies as he felt that today is an ordinary day and nothing special is happening today, and his classmates shook him politely and tells him not to daze too much, stating that nothing extraordinary would happen today, which Midoriya sighed, as he felt that every day is ordinary and that nothing exciting is happening in his life.
"Hey, Midoriya."
"Quit staring at the skies."
"Or you'll be eaten alive."
"Huh? What? Oh…"
"Wishing for something exciting to happen in your ordinary life?"
"You should be thankful nothing mind-blowing happened to you…since you're Quirkless and all…"
"Yeah…you get to have a normal, quiet life, so enjoy it…there's nothing you can do anyway…"
"You're right…"
By then a PE teacher arrived and told the class to put on their PE uniforms as they will have an exercise at the track field and their attendance is a must, which the class nodded saying that they will change into their track suits in a moment.
"Yes sir!"
"Yes sir!"
"Yes sir!"
"Yes sir!"
"Yes sir!"
"Yes sir!
"Yes sir!"
"Yes sir!"
After that the class are walking outside the school building and are heading towards the park-like area where the track field is located and there the students are chatting on what to expect at today's PE class, though Midoriya seemed to be his usual self as he appeared to look forward to an ordinary day, but then paused for a moment as he seemed to catch a scent of something.
The scene shows that there is a dead squirrel nearby and Midoriya looked like he is tempted to check it out but his classmates told him to hurry up or the PE teacher will scold him, which Midoriya snapped back to reality as his classmates called him on to get going.
"Hey!"
"Midoriya!"
"What are you doing?"
"Quit slacking off!"
"Or the teacher will give you a punishment."
"Come on!"
"Hurry up!"
"Get your butt here!"
Midoriya nodded as he went ahead, and though he seemed to act normally there is something about him that some of his other classmates do not notice, and there Midoriya mentally thanked his classmates for calling him out, otherwise he might attract unwanted attention.
"Thank goodness. Come on, Midoriya…concentrate. Ignore everything else…"
By then a schoolmate of his approached Midoriya and asked if he is feeling bored or something, which he smiled and said that he is okay, assuring her that there is nothing wrong here as he and his classmates are walking away from the unseen corpse of the squirrel.
The boys in Midoriya's class blinked their eyes as they saw the girl talking to Midoriya and are surprised to see who the girl is and couldn't believe that she is actually talking to him in such a casual manner as if she and Midoriya are familiar with each other.
"Whoa…"
"What the…?"
"It's her…"
"It really is her…!"
"Hey…"
"Why is she talking to Midoriya?"
"Look at them…they seem to be close..."
"No way…"
The classmate who is seen talking to Midoriya is identified as Ochako Uraraka, who is working part-time as a member of a five-girl group of idols, and there Midoriya's classmates felt envious that a popular idol befriended Midoriya of all boys and deemed him SO LUCKY.
They wonder how Midoriya is able to befriend a popular girl so easily and are considering in asking him what methods did he use in managing to get Uraraka to hang out with him with little effort.
"Damn that Midoriya…"
"The guy is LUCKY! He managed to get a cute girl like Uraraka to hang out with him…"
"How did he do it?"
"I bet he did something behind our backs…"
"Let's ask him later…"
"Yeah…he must have a secret…"
"Count me in…"
"Let's do it later…"
As Midoriya's class arrived at the track and field area, Uraraka decided to leave for now and told Midoriya to do his best and proposes that they meet later after class, which he nodded as she waved goodbye at him as she leaves.
There some of Midoriya's male classmates approached him and expressed their envy at being so close to a popular idol and began to STRONG-ARM him and demanded to know how did he managed to win over her and vice versa, and Midoriya frantically told his classmates to knock it off and let go, as the action somewhat made him genuinely worried.
"Hey, Midoriya!"
"You lucky bastard!"
"You made us jealous!"
"Hey! Stop! Let go!"
"How did you do it?"
"How did you get close to Uraraka?"
"What's your secret? Tell us!"
"Let go, I say!"
By then the PE teacher told the class to knock it off and pay attention or else they will get detention, which the boys snapped back to attention and apologized, saying that they are ready for today's lessons so as not to provoke the teacher into giving them detention.
"Yes sir!"
"Yes sir!"
"Yes sir!"
"Yes sir! ""
"Yes sir!"
"Yes sir!

Elsewhere, the scene shifts at the outskirts of town and located near a highway and a hill, where you can see an abandoned shack that is filled with plastic containers that houses gasoline, and the scene shifts inside where you can see a teenager standing.
She appeared to be holding a cellphone as she listens to what appeared to be a recording as she is trying to reach out to someone but it did not happen at all, as the recording kept on playing and playing.
The teenager is a girl who sports the following:
- A quite curvaceous figure
- Having fawn-colored hair that reaches just below her shoulders and large, dark brown eyes
- Sporting a traditional white-collared shirt and dark skirt
The teenager looked like she appeared to be depressed for some reason and felt that her reasons for living has left her hollow and felt suicidal to a degree. She then contemplating her next course of action, unaware that fate will play a hand as the wheels began to move.

Hope you liked this opening chapter, as it features Midoriya spending his ordinary life at school, though for some reason he has been on guard over something which he had to stay alert and not lose focus over something…
So far Ochako Uraraka is the other My Hero Academia character to appear, which she portrayed as having a part-time job as an idol, which mirrors her manga subplot of wanting to earn money…
The main heroine makes an UNCREDITED appearance, though the description shown makes it obvious…
