I really appreciated it and this gave me inspiration to work on the next chapter and here the story is underway as the pro heroes of UA Academy are figuring out on what to do next as they got the gist of an oncoming threat that may put Japan at stake…especially after witnessing the death of America's number one hero...

Meanwhile Midoriya pondered on what implications would arise should the Japanese government decided to have all heroes... professionals and students alike... mobilized for battle...and what implications would arise...

Ch. 5: Chimamire no shin'nyū e no jokyoku

Several hours later, the scene shifts at UA Academy, where you can see Midoriya at the cafeteria still watching the live news about the devastation of the United States of America as both Jyou Bidenyu and Kamelotte Harrison were killed in the onslaught and soon live news footage showed that the Senate House is being evacuated, and according to reporters the Senate President hasn't been seen and his whereabouts are unknown at this time, hence America hasn't gotten an acting president for now.

As Midoriya watches the news channel, ranging from CNN to Bloomberg up to BBC, he wondered if America is so far the only country to have been hit by the invading insect-like aliens, and recalling what he, Bakugo and All Might discussed, Midoriya appeared to realize that if what All Might said is true, then it is possible that the government, along with the Hero Public Safety Commission, would make a mandatory course in having all hero schools undergo military training to face the insect-like aliens, and there is no telling when this would take effect.

By then Itsuka Kendo of Class 1-B passed by and saw Midoriya sitting on the chair watching the news on TV, and there she greeted him which he greeted her in return, and there the two teens decided to hang out and talk, where they both express some reservation about the possibility of what would happen if the Hero Public Safety Commission and the government agreed to have all hero course students undergo military training and be sent on the frontlines, and while Kendo sees nothing wrong at first, she started to have a bit of second thoughts after Midoriya told her what happened to Melissa Shield and her dad, as well as the live footage of both Bidenyu and Harrison being brutally killed by the aliens.

"…and that's that…"

"…"

"This upcoming situation may be worse than the invasion that the Paranormal Liberation Army has done…"

"…really…?"

"Y-yeah…"

"…"

"Its not that I'm discouraging you or…"

"Its fine, Midoriya..."

Despite feeling a slight sense of apprehension, Kendo showed her confidence and said that UA students have weathered every storm that came in their way, pointing out like how Class 1-A survived the ambush perpetrated by the League of Villains during Class 1-A's visit at the USJ, managing to hold off the villains until All Might and the UA faculty members arrived, resulting in the capture of some villains.

Kendo also reminded Midoriya that both Class 1-A and 1-B survived and defeated some dangerous villains during the Forest Training Camp which eventually led to the first capture of All For One, and then UA weathered the MOST SEVERE STORM when the Paranormal Liberation Army decimated most of Japan and in the end it was Midoriya who eventually put an end to All For One for good.

She assured to Midoriya that the alien invasion would be a piece of cake and said that once this crisis is solved, things will go back to normal and life would be as peaceful again, and she confidently said that she is looking forward to facing those alien-like insects, though Midoriya caution her not to take the alien-like insects very lightly even though Kendo is as spunky as usual.

"Don't get cowered! Those bugs are going to get squished!"

"Don't look down on them, Kendo-san…"

"Why not?"

"I saw how those things operate. They are no ordinary lifeforms…and they are probably 50 times worse than the high-level Nomu..."

"So? If we get close enough…"

"Ever since watching the live news, I've been observing the aliens. And the asteroid that landed on Washington DC is just a prelude. According to what All Might heard, there is one other asteroid that landed on Mercury, and it's likely that there are of those things…"

"Really…?"

"Yes…"

Midoriya then told Kendo that there is a possibility that if ever the government accept the proposal of the Hero Public Safety Commission, then the government would make all hero course students live at the army barracks and the students may not have any kind of breaks and may not have time to visit their homes, which might likely make parents question this move.

Kendo nodded, realizing what Midoriya meant, and acknowledge that this is something she didn't anticipate, as what Midoriya said just now is different from what UA Academy did when they made the decision to have all UA Academy students live at Heights Alliance.

She also came to realize that if the government accept the proposal and have the hero course students live in army camps then there is the possibility that they may not see their families again if the students are suddenly sent to face the alien threats.

"What you say just now…you may be right, Midoriya…"

"I..."

"There could be a chance that we may not see our families if we are suddenly get called and head into a battle…if you don't want this you can…"

"I'm not backing out. And I know the risks."

"Then you know there's no turning back. You sure you want…"

"I…am sure. I dream of becoming a pro hero just like All Might. And now is is another test that I should overcome. Kendo-san…what about you? Are you…"

"Yup. I'm prepared for this. Want to hang out some time with me? While things are peaceful at the moment…"

"Sure."

Suddenly, the live news flashed on TV, which Midoriya and Kendo watched on as the news report says that the number two hero, identified as Star and Stripes, is now designated as America's number one hero, and now she is leading some of the assembled pro heroes and started to gain traction as they started to take down the insect-like aliens, steadily reducing the invaders' numbers.

Assisting Star And Stripes are the following pro heroes, identified as:

Bar-Barian

Honky Tonky Man

Super Macho Man

Earthquake

Typhoon

Ander The Giant

The Big Boss

The African Dream

The American Dream

Both Midoriya and Kendo were stunned to see that Star And Stripes have assembled several top pro heroes of America and wondered how will the pro heroes that Star And Stripes assembled would pull it off, and there Midoriya watches the live footage carefully.

Within minutes Star And Stripes and her fellow pro heroes have somewhat vanquished the insect-like aliens, and the pro heroes are now posing for the cameras though Star And Stripes can be heard telling them that it is too early to celebrate as she said that they must search other areas and see if there are any more of those things lurking the streets.

"Don't get overconfident. There may be more of those things out there…"

"But we won. I'm pretty sure we can ace those buggers…"

"Oooooh yeeeeeaaaahhh…"

"And I'm Ameri-gonna kill those damn bugs…"

"Better still…don't underestimate them. That's why Python Patriot was killed easily. If we let our guards down…America will be gone sooner, so be serious."

"Okay…"

"Okay…"

"Okay…"

Suddenly, a large beam is seen coming from the sky and without warning struck the area where the twelve top pro heroes are standing, and within 15 seconds Star And Stripes and the 11 pro heroes were gruesomely vaporized and melted, leaving only the melted remains of their bodies.

Midoriya and Kendo stared in horror at what they just saw, and there Midoriya realized that when All Might mentioned that the other asteroid was in the planet Mercury, and that the insect-like aliens are alive and somehow did something that caused them to fire some kind of attack, and told Kendo about what he deduced, surprising the Class 1-B class president at what she is being told.

"Are you serious?"

"…yes…"

"Then…"

"The blast from the sky might have come from a planet near Earth…"

"No way…"

"That's why I think…"

"…"

"…"

All Might suddenly barges in and saw the live footage, in which the former number one hero became saddened, and as Midoriya asked what is wrong, All Might told his successor that Star And Stripes was his protégé when he resided in America several years ago, surprising Midoriya, and there he tells the young boy that by now the government is aware of this and they might consider in having all hero course students have a mandatory training in the military barracks and they would be trained and then send them to the frontlines to face this impending threat.

"And that's what I think. You and your schoolmates are likely to spend the rest of your days at the military barracks…"

"…"

"And you might not be able to see your parents during that time."

"All Might…"

"You have to be ready, Midoriya-shounen…this might be the biggest challenge you are about to face…"

"I…understand…"

"Are you ready…?"

"I…"

Suddenly Present Mic came in and he is seen having a very worried look, and as All Might asked what is wrong, Present Mic said that he got word that an asteroid landed somewhere within South East Asia UNDETECTED, and thus it's possible that the insect-like aliens are likely to invade nearby countries, including Japan, causing Midoriya and Kendo to stare wide-eyed in horror.

All Might was in a state of disbelief and asked Present Mic how this has happened, in which a worried Present Mic said that NASA somewhat failed to notice as they were focused on the asteroid that landed in Washington DC, and because of that they overlooked that fact that another asteroid bypassed them and landed, and the Asian branch of NASA discovered it and is located between the sea of Japan and the Korean peninsula.

"Wh-what…? Korean peninsula?"

"Yeah! Korean peninsula!"

"And it's near Japan! Are you sure about…"

"The Asian branch of NASA said it!"

"Damn…at a time like this…!"

"Uh…"

"This is worse than I thought…"

"Yeah…"

Fearing the worse, All Might told Present Mic to tell Nezu about the situation, which Present Mic said that the principal has already been informed, and said that Nezu has instructed the teachers to have all students assembled at a certain area where it is heavily fortified for protection, and there Present Mic told Midoriya and Kendo to head to the area at once and not stall.

The two students glanced at each other before glancing at Present Mic, feeling uneasy, but All Might assured to the two first year students that everything will be okay and urged them to do what Present Mic instructed them to do, which Midoriya and Kendo reluctantly nodded, and the two teens left the cafeteria and headed towards the designated area.

As Midoriya and Kendo are on their way, she tells him that it looks like she won't get to enjoy her free time now that this alien invasion thing is becoming a reality now that there is a possibility that those things might attack Japan, though Midoriya assured that once the world leaders figure out a way to head to Mercury and how to approach the alien insects, then life would return to normal.

As Kendo smiled at Midoriya's optimism, she jokingly asked if he wanted to go on a FRIENDLY DATE with her, causing him to blush but said he would consider it should the situation within Japan has calmed down, though he asked if she has a suitor, reasoning that someone might get mad at seeing her hanging out with another boy, which Kendo admitted that she doesn't have one at the moment.

"Really? You're single?"

"Yeah…and ready to mingle…"

"…"

"You don't have to worry about anything."

"Really?"

"Really. So feel free to ask me out."

"Okay…"

"I'll be waiting…"

Soon the two were joined by Setsuna Tokage and Pony Tsunitori, and the two girls teased Kendo at the prospect of dating Midoriya, and this caused a bickering amongst the three girls, which Midoriya smiled seeing that despite the tension the three girls are taking things in stride, and he hoped that his classmates in Class 1-A are also calm in situations like this.

By then a number of Business Course students are seen running towards the designated area and they can be heard talking about what they saw on the news and are disheartened that just as Japan is recovering after finally defeating All For One and the Paranormal Liberation Army a new threat just arrived, and they wished that the alien-like insects wouldn't come here.

Suddenly, as dozen alien-like insects appeared as they scaled the walls and are now inside UA Academy, and they began their attack, which they went towards the nearest targets which are the Business Course students, impaling them with their legs and stabbed the UA students on their torso and the students are heard screaming in pain.

"EEEEKKKK!"

"KKKKYYYAAAHH!"

"AAAAIIIEEE!"

"HELP!"

"EEEEKKKK!"

"KKKKYYYAAAHH!"

"AAAAIIIEEE!"

"HELP!"

Midoriya, Kendo, Setsuna and Pony stared wide-eyed in disbelief and horror as they did not expect that the alien-like insects would appear here so suddenly and there the aliens went to separate directions and there they attacked more UA Academy students, killing and maiming their prey, and in less than a minute a portion of UA Academy became a bloodbath as blood and corpses are scattered, and the students panicked as they are being slowly killed off amid the screams of terror that can be heard.

"EEEEKKKK!"

"KKKKYYYAAAHH!"

"AAAAIIIEEE!"

"HELP!"

"EEEEKKKK!"

"KKKKYYYAAAHH!"

"AAAAIIIEEE!"

"HELP!"

Hope you liked this chapter, as the aliens made their move and showed that they are a threat more dangerous than All For One…having caused chaos in Washington DC…and then they killed the newly-appointed number one hero…just as America is given a glimmer of hope…

This is the first time that I used Star And Stripes, as during the time I was working on the previous chapters the number one hero of America was not depicted until the last two months of 2021, and there I was able to bring Star And Stripes in fanfiction form.

Looks like the alien bugs have launched a preemptive strike as they assaulted UA Academy, and in less than two minutes it claimed at least two dozen lives in record time, and Midoriya get to see the alien insects up close and now he has a general idea of what lies ahead…

A hint of romance between Midoriya and Kendo, though it was interrupted by two schoolmates and the alien insects…
