I do not own harry potter or DC I am simply a fan writing a fic.

Evans Family Cottage.

Albus Dumbledore was a normally busy man, but this day he had a rare treat, a lie-in, several hours of extra blessed sleep, he slipped on his rabbit slippers and dayglow pink and yellow dressing gown and with a flick of his wand sorted his long hair and longer beard, as always his breakfast was waiting for him on the table next to a large orange puffy chair, cereal, bacon and scrambled eggs, a shot of firewhisky and a strong coffee, perfect.

Finally dressed and ready he left the headmasters quarters and headed to his office where no doubt paperwork waited for him as he had a redirect charm on him so his post would arrive there as not to disturb his breakfast, passing the gargoyle and heading up the stairs he entered his office and was met with silence, worry gripped him as he checked his little gizmos that monitored Harry Potter, the one that monitored the wards was inactive as was the one that maintained the tracking charms on the boy, the one indicating his health was also inactive but it had not shut down it had burned out, the one monitoring the Dursley's showed they were all healthy, he had to visit them and find out what happened.

Dumbledore left his office in a hurry, the portraits were still covered up, this was a rare opportunity, the beetle moved out of it's hiding place and changed into a woman who quietly flicked her wand and headed over to his desk silently thanks to the charm she cast and looked at the documents, boring, boring, boring... gold! one large packet had the ministry seal but had no protection charms on it, the packet said in bold text 'results of investigation of evidence presented on the mistreatment of Harry Potter and the negligence of his Magical Guardian Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore' Her eyes grew wide and she barely stopped herself from just grabbing it, she quickly cast a complex charm and was soon holding a copy in her arms like it was her first-born.

Harry woke up but didn't open his eyes, it had been a dream it had to be because things like that couldn't be real let alone happen to him, but he knew that it wasn't as he could feel the softness of the mattress and pillows, the comfortable heaviness of the quilt, not the cold bathroom floor he expected, then the smell hit him and he opened his eyes to the full English breakfast set on the table next to the bed, and also a stack of warm pancakes with two scoops of strawberry ice cream for afters.

After eating and getting washed and dresses Harry was led by a guard to Ragnok's office,

"Good morning mister potter I trust you slept well?" Ragnok asked,

"It was the best night's sleep I have ever had thankyou Director, I don't mean to sound ungrateful but,"

"why are we helping you?" Ragnok interrupted, Harry nodded, "well most of it is confidential but I can tell you an individual that the entire goblin race owes a large debt to asked us to, and like any sentient race we feel the need to help a child in distress,"

Harry was about to deny that but realized he defiantly was in distress and was practically screaming it with his every action but no one had noticed and also,

"I feel different than I did, things that I shouldn't be aware of I am, and things I shouldn't be able to understand I can, is that part of my magic?" he guessed,

"actually that was also done by our mutual benefactor, he made your mind stronger, I am not really sure why or why he hasn't told you this directly but he probably has excellent reasons," Ragnok explained,

"you trust him that much?"

"oh yes, and he has more than earned it, I am sorry I cannot discuss this more with you but I believe I have given you all the information I can, now I need to explain some things,"

Ragnok explained to Harry what had happened last night and what it meant, and also that he had not expected success but sometime fortune drops gold in your lap and only a fool would turn it down,

"so I am emancipated? at age six? how does that even work?" he asked incredulously,

"well to be honest, most wizards are lazy and stupid, they rely on their magic so much they don't actually take time to think, they overlook things that would be glaringly obvious to mundanes, and don't even take the time to understand their neighbor races, for example when we create something and give it to a wizard it is NEVER their property we are either hiring it to them or lending it, an object solely belongs to the one who crafted it,"

"so a goblin never give something permanently?"

"well there is a ritual we perform for that but it has not been done in a thousand years, anyway we need to find you a place to live, here is a list of all the properties your paternal family owned, unfortunately your mother didn't own anything as she is mundane born," Ragnok handed over a list and Harry looked through it until he got to a certain line his face looking confused,

"I thought my mother didn't own any property?"

"that's right,"

"then what's this?" Harry pointed but Ragnok was confused, "what's what?" Ragnok gripped the sheet and looked,

"It says right here Evan's Ancestral cottage," Harry said placing his finger on the offending line and Rognok's eyes went wide before they both vanished.

Ragnok didn't fall he was a trained goblin warrior and so the portkey like effect didn't cause him to fall, as soon as they landed he whipped out a pair of obsidian looking daggers and quickly looked around for threats, Harry was on the floor stunned, they appeared to be in a small cottage or house, a table sat by the front door, the walls were bare white and the floor was a dull grey like the table, an open door on each side led to a kitchen on the left hand door and a living room through the right, but what had his attention was a small bed place against the opposite wall of the front door next to a door which led to a bedroom, in the bed was a small creature that he though was a house elf but it's ears were straight and not droopy and also smaller it had a proportional boy to head size unlike elves whose heads seemed to be too big, it also wore a white gown and like the rest of the place it's skin seemed to be a washed out grey color.

Ragnok lifted Harry to his feet as he could see no danger and noticed the boy was bleeding, he had apparently faceplanted and now had a nosebleed which was dripping on the floor, glancing down he saw a small drop of blood land and from it color seemed to spread out, the grey floor changed to a light pine color, the walls were a burnished gold color, and as he watched the creature in the bed also regained it's color the white gown changed to an emerald green and it's skin took on a healthy pink, it also began to breath.

Ragnok quickly looked around, the place seemed empty the kitchen seemed normal for wizards a stove, wash basin, cupboards ect. the living room was neat and had a sofa and two chairs with a table between them, and the bedroom had a single bed, he turned back to see the creature on it's feet and looking at them, blinking slowly as it seemed to be waking up,

"Who are you?" Ragnok asked warily,

"Greetings honored goblin guest and new master, I apologize that I cannot give you my name as I do not have one yet," it replied,

"what are you? you don't look human or any race I recognize,"

"I am an assistant elf sir,"

"a house elf? but you look much different?"

"house elf? ah yes the prototype, poor creatures, I hope they were recovered,"

Harry spoke up confused, "New master?"

the elf turned to him and bowed "yes my new master, how can I help,"

"I'M your master?" harry asked his voice a higher pitch,

the elf chuckled, "yes you are my new master, may I ask you to name me and tell my your name?"

Harry walked closer to the elf and looked her.. him? over "are you a boy or girl?" he asked turning red,

"I am female master, a girl, I was created to serve and protect you, I cannot discuss many things in company as they are family business, but will later once our guest has confirmed you are safe," she smiled at Ragnok,

"you are perceptive, how old are you?" Ragnok asked as harry took her hand hesitantly looking at her skin,

"I was created and placed into sleep so I am only a few minutes old, but I have been given memories and skills that my master may need," she answered not flinching from Harry's curious touch,

Harry looked into her face and realized her eyes were a similar green to his only with blue specks, he smiled, "my name is Harry Potter, and your name is Silky, after your skin,"

she smiled happily "thankyou young Master Harry"

Ragnok stayed for several hours until he was satisfied that his client was in no danger, Silky explained the house was under a stronger and more advanced variation of the Fidelious charm and that Harry could literally carry it around with him, as soon as he left the house and the large garden would change into a key only he could use and would always reappear in his pocket or near him if he should lose it, the garden would still grow plants while transformed, and the house and garden would not be effected by the outside world, she would remain in the house to be called on if needed, after he left silky explained things to Harry.

Harry's mother had come from a long line of squibs and muggle descendants of a once very ancient and powerful family, the Evans clan were magical inventors always tinkering with magic and many were really upset that they wouldn't 'share' and by that the meant hand over anything and everything they invented, they did actually give out many things but only to those they though wouldn't abuse them, so many of the less honest and reputable families laid a curse on the family knowing that they were too powerful to attack directly they cursed all the Evans clan so that Evans witches and wizards couldn't have children, but the curse didn't effect squibs and there was one born to the family so the clan survived for years until the curse finally failed at the death of the last of the families that cast it, and then Harry's mother was born.

Silky sat Harry down at the table in the living room and popped down before him a big bowl filled with salad and vegetables, but before the boy could dig in she asked him what he would have really liked to eats and he shrunk back, mumbled that this was fine and he was grateful,

"Master Harry, I won't be angry, this isn't your dinner it's your food, just tell me what you would like to eat, it can be anything you want as long as you know how it is made or have eaten it before," she gave him a hug and a kiss on the head,

he was unsure but he remembered the time the Dursleys had eaten stake and chips with peas and chocolate fudge cake and ice cream for afters, he had been lucky and had managed to eat the very few leftovers, he wasn't above licking the plates clean just for the small amount of food left, Silky smiled as he explained and snapped her fingers, the bowl changed into a large plate and another smaller bowl appeared with more veg and some fruit, another snap of her fingers and the salad on the plate changed into steak, peas and chips with garlic butter, the salad in the bowl changed into a large slice of cake with vanilla ice cream,

"this master is the school of magic known as transfiguration, changing one thing into another, the food will taste and feel and smell like it looks but after an hour will turn back into what it was, so you can have all the taste and smell of eating something like this but all the benefits of eating nothing but a balanced bland and healthy diet, once you are old enough to be able to use magic yourself at age 8 I will help you make your first foci and begin teaching you your families craft," she left the gobsmacked 6 year old to eat his food.

After dinner was done and Harry had a little nap on the sofa while Silky was cleaning up she turned and snapped her fingers, someone was searching for her master and from what her senses were telling her she needed to know more about him, so she called out and a Potter family elf appeared very confused before her, she showed the elf the sleeping Harry clamping her hand over it's mouth as it squealed in happiness and pulled it back into the kitchen for a chat, within half an hour she knew all about the boy who lived, she ordered the elf to forget and sent it back quickly as it's memory of the last 30odd minutes faded away, she then sent a note to Ragnok asking about harry as she could tell through their bond the boy had not been treated well, the information he sent enraged her, but her master comes before all else.

Harry awoke and Silky was there, she took him on a tour of the cottage garden then the hidden rooms, first was the foci workshop full of tools from sewing needles to carpentry tools, the second was the safe room, which had a safe in it, inside the safe was a large platinum and gold key with intricate carvings on it of what seemed to be a library,

"Is that... a gringotts key?" harry asked,

"yes master it is, in fact director Ragnok sent over your Potter trust vault key and it immediately merged with this one, I guess since this is a much higher ranked key it absorbed the smaller one," Silky explained,

"are we going to gringotts? why?" harry asked,

"well Master Harry someone attempted to search for you last night, I was able to block the magic but I want to make sure you are protected, from what I learned from director Ragnok the only person who would be looking for you would be your old magical guardian, a man by the name Albus Dumbledore, and since he was responsible for you being placed with the Dursleys and not the many other much better options available, I don't particularly want him anywhere near you," Silky explained,

Harry set his jaw "what do I need to do, a magic ritual? some potion? change the way I look?"

"actually the last one is a good idea, the scar that used to be on your forehead is gone, but your eye color is a problem, and the only other thing we need to do is change your name, so if you have-"

Harry interrupted her "Harold Evans," he looked at her a little ashamed "I use to think about running away and changing my name," she just smiled gave him a hug, and handed him the large ornate key,

"ready?" she asked and he nodded, they vanished with a quiet pop and appeared outside the gates of gringotts.

The entered and there was nobody there except for a twitchy looking skinny man, probably cause it was early in the morning, they walked up to a bored looking teller and harry held up his key and said "I would like access to my vault please,"

the goblin looked up slowly from his paperwork, it was too early to deal with arrogant wizards at... his train of thought derailed off a cliff at the sight before him and he whispered in shock and awe,

"A deep vault key?!"
