First off, many thanks to those who reviewed this fic, I really appreciated it and this gave me inspiration to work on the next chapter and here the current story arc picks up where the last chapter left, in which the Gunsmith Cats are on the move as they appear in this chapter.
This chapter acts as an aftermath from the last chapter as Megure and his squad are rounding up the drug suspects…but something unexpected is about to happen…

As Megure instructed the police to take the captured suspects to the nearest police station to have them booked and undergo interrogation, he and Kogoro are trying to piece together what happened a while ago, as the other captured suspects were suddenly mutated and turned into beast-like things, which Kogoro suggested that he has heard of this before, saying that a rumor about the so-called Wild Adapter, which Megure said that he also heard of that rumor but stated that this is one rumor that is hard to confirm given the nature of this mysterious drug.
"Wild Adapter…it might make sense here…"
"Getting information is hard given the drug's nature."
"Indeed."
"Looks like we are facing a blank wall at the moment…"
"Well…at least you brought down a drug trade bazaar…"
"It was all thanks to a tip from an anonymous source…"
"Really?"
"Yeah."
Not far, Gotoh and Toudou are secretly watching, and they too wondered about this mysterious drug, and the two are mystified on how the captured suspects were able to use that drug even though the police frisked the suspects' bodies.
Toudou tells Gotoh that this is the job of the cops and now their business is done as Gotoh still has to train in mastering the prototype version of the Birth System, saying that once Gotoh has mastered it he can control the real Birth System without problems.
"Really, Toudou-san?"
"As long as you master the training."
"…"
"The prototype version will act as a guide. Once you got the hang of it, the real version will not be a problem for you."
"I see…"
"Then let us get going."
"Okay, Toudou-san."
"Good."
Nodding, Gotoh followed Toudou as the two men took their leave seeing that nothing else can be done here as the drug trade has been crippled and dismantled, and now they can resume the training without any interference other than getting an alarm about a Yummy and Greed sightings.
Gotoh then asked what if Kyuji need help, which Toudou smirked and said that he will be okay since he has Ankh under his watch, thus there won't be any problems for the time being.
"You really believe so?"
"Based on my observation, Gotoh."
"…"
"I'm pretty sure that Kyuji Hino can take care of himself. Right now you need to get stronger."
"You have a point."
"Then let's resume the training."
"Right."
"Lets go."

The scene shifts at the convention center where people are lining up as they are excited to see and have a free sample of the latest flavors for various brands of ice cream, which Ankh is among the customers, and he could sensed the scent of ice creams while standing outside the building, which he smirked as he would get to have a free taste to his heart's content while other customers who were lining up commented that ice creams of different flavors will be on display and they would get free tasting on which flavor would be the best.
"Wow. I heard that new flavors are on display today…"
"And the new flavors are said to be delicious…world class if you ask me…"
"Heh…Vanilla…pistachio…avocado…Bavarian…"
"Hearing it makes me drool…so excited…"
"Me too. Glad there's a free taste…"
"I can't wait to get in…"
"My mouth is getting ready…"
"Ha-ha-ha…"
After a few minutes the queuing customers are allowed to go in, with Ankh among them, and as soon as he got in, Radinov followed, not wanting to lose sight of her target and made sure that he won't get far, shoving a few patrons along the way.
This made other customers get irritated and berated the assassin for her actions, which she simply ignored them as they bad-mouthed her for her rude actions.
"Hey!"
"Stop pushing!"
"Stupid foreigner!"
"Don't you have any manners?"
"Get out of Japan!"
"Damn wench!"
"You suck!"
"Lady idiot!"
However, Radinov wasn't the only assassin to come here, as two Americans are seen lining up as well and are about to go inside the convention center. A male and a female, who are in their 20s, they are siblings and identified as Bonnie and Clyde, and they are eyeing Ankh, as it turn out that they were contracted to assassinate Kaito Kid, and mistook Ankh as Kaito Kid due to their facial similarities despite Ankh's SPIKY HAIR color style.
"Bonnie…look…"
"Is that him?"
"No doubt. That's the Kaito Kid..."
"What's with that hairstyle?"
"A poor disguise. He can't fool us."
"We better get in there, Clyde..."
"Yeah…we got to nail him down."
"Right…"
Bonnie and Clyde had no idea that they are about to encounter trouble which would commence in a matter of minutes not knowing that they are targeting the wrong target.
As the minutes passed, the customers are having a blast, as they are looking at several stalls where various brands of ice creams, local and foreign, are on display, and the scent within the area is pleasant, as the flavors were so good that it enticed the customers to try out the flavors and taste them, which some of the customers are lining up.
And as soon as they got the free sample they tasted it and they were impressed as the flavors are really good and delicious, eliciting various and positive reactions.
"Wow…"
"Delicious…"
"Tasty…"
"Yummy…"
"I'm melting…"
"I feel cold…"
"So sweet…"
"Feels like Christmas..."
After several minutes, Ankh got his turn and received his free sample of ice cream which is on a cone, and there he began to binge at the ice cream and for once he is enjoying himself as he finished eating it and went to other stalls to get various flavors just to eat for free.
Bonnie and Clyde were following him, believing that their target is Kaito Kid, even though Ankh is sporting the blond, spiky hairstyle, and the American siblings are whispering amongst themselves and suggested that they strike him down before taking the picture of his corpse so as to show proof that they killed their target.
"That's your idea, Bonnie?"
"Yup. That way we can show proof."
"Sounds good."
"I know."
"Then we better proceed."
"Right."
"Lets go."
"Hee-hee…"
As several minutes passed, Ankh, using the pocket money he got from Professor Agasa, went and bought a few containers ice cream and is rather pleased with how things turn out, and is looking around to see if he could buy more, and is at least peaceful to a degree that neither Kyuji or Ran are here to berate him.
"Guess this what it feels like feeling human…"
However, Bonnie and Clyde decided to make their move as they wanted to get this job done and confronted Ankh, aimed their guns at him and addressed him as Kaito Kid, saying that they are here to kill him and that this is nothing personal.
The other customers blinked their eyes at hearing this and are rather taken aback seeing Bonnie and Clyde aiming their guns at their target, but their curiosity piqued seeing Ankh, and began to believe that he is Kaito Kid due to his facial similarities despite his blond spiky hairstyle.
"What?"
"Is that him…?"
"That's Kaito Kid...?"
"No way…"
"Can't be…"
"Impossible…"
"But he looked like him…"
"Yeah…"
By then Natasha Randinov showed up and aimed her gun at Ankh, while telling Bonnie and Clyde that he is Shinichi Kudo, and that she is here to kill him, which made Ankh getting irritated at being interrupted, while the two American sibling assassins stared in disbelief at what Randinov just said, and insisted that Ankh is the Kaito Kid.
This sparked an argument between the three foreign assassins as they insisted that they are targeting this person as the one based on his appearance.
"He is Shinichi Kudo. Now get lost. He is my prey."
"No way! You get lost!"
"He's the Kaito Kid!"
"I say this again. He is my prey. He is Shinichi Kudo...and I will kill him."
"And I say he's the Kaito Kid!"
"And he is our prey!"
"…"
"And we got here first!"
"So get lost!"
Irritated to a degree, Ankh told the trio to stop pestering him and is about to take his leave when Bonnie shoots down the pint of ice cream, ruining it and Ankh is seething in anger as the ice cream he bought is ruined and no longer fit for consumption, but she smacked him with her gun while still addressing him as Kaito Kid, telling him that she won't be fooled by his SHALLOW ACTING.
Ankh is now pissed off and gets up raises his right hand and revealed his MONSTER RIGHT HAND form and punched Bonnie square on her face, knocking her down which broke her nose and loses four of her front teeth in the process.
Randinov stared wide-eyed eyed at what she just saw while Clyde checked on his sister, which she shrieked upon realizing what just happened, as her CUTE FACE is now ruined by what Ankh did, as she and Clyde still believe that their target is Kaito Kid.
"My cute face!"
"No way…"
"That Kaito Kid! Make him pay!"
"Yes, my dear sister!"
"Shoot him! Kill him! I don't care!"
"I will!"
"Do it!"
"Here…take my gun!"
Getting up, Bonnie aimed her gun at Ankh and said that he will pay for that, but an angry Ankh tells her that he is neither Shinichi Kudo or the Kaito Kid, stating his name and there he uses his MONSTER RIGHT HAND to unleash a fireball, hitting Bonnie and she screamed as her whole body went ablaze, slowly killing her as the crowd erupted in panic at the sudden turn of events they just witnessed.
"KKKKYYYYAAAHHH!"
"OUT OF MY WAY!"
"LET ME THROUGH!"
"I WANT MY MOMMY!"
"SOMEONE CALL SECURITY!"
"HELP!"
"SOMEONE CALL THE JUSTICE LEAGUE!"

Hope you liked this chapter as it mostly featured Ankh, and he is having a rather peaceful day until the villains from Gunsmith Cats harassed him due to believing that he is Shinichi Kudo and Kaito Kid…and now a pissed-off Ankh is unleashing his anger…resulting in getting his first kill on a human…
