Hunt For The Mystical Medals

First off: belated happy New Year and welcome to 2022. Last month I said that this fic will be ready by the end of January, but for a reason it ended up getting delayed, in which I won't make any excuses. It is because I caught the COVID despite getting vaccinated, and I believe that I have gotten the Omicron variant. Thankfully I managed to recover while isolating myself inside my house but as a result working on this and my other fanfics slowed down, hence the late update of this fic.
Now that I finished my explanation…time to get down to business…
Many thanks to those who reviewed this fic, I really appreciated it and this gave me inspiration to work on the next chapter and here the current story arc picks up where the last chapter left, in which the Gunsmith Cats are to get dragged into another encounter in this chapter.
And here things went awry as an unexpected chain of events are about to unravel which would surely make the Detective Conan crew go on the defensive…

The scene shifts at a warehouse somewhere within the outskirts of Tokyo, where you can see Kyuji and Ran are hiding behind a thick bush, as they were able to follow the van that took Shiho and led them to the current location, and right now you can see that the warehouse is heavily guarded, with a lot of armed guards standing guard at the entrance of the warehouse.
Ran asked Kyuji what would be their next move, which he said that he is using the Batta Candroids to get a visual inside the warehouse and see where the kidnapped victims are and who is behind the kidnapping and all, and once Shiho is found, then he will make his move and take out the guards stealthily before charging inside the warehouse.
"Really?"
"Yeah."
"But…if there are many armed goons…"
"That's why I'm going in there as Os..."
"…"
"I will knock them out at once so that no gunfire would take place…and while I'm at it…you should call the police and…"
"Kyuji…look…"
"Huh?"
Suddenly the Narwhal Yummy arrived and Kyuji became alarmed, seeing that the Yummy is carrying Ankh and the Gunsmith Cats, and there Kyuji sensed that something is amiss, and he can hear the guards commenting about their boss POSSESSING AN ABILITY TO SPAWN MONSTERS USING COIN-LIKE ARTIFACTS, yet they did not mind it as they were being paid well, and felt that if it would keep the cops away then it is okay with them.
"So you're fine with it?"
"Yeah."
"Not at all."
"Its fine."
"You sure? She has never done that before…"
"At least it'll keep the cops back…"
"Yeah."
"Agree."
As the Narwhal Yummy went inside, Kyuji bide his time as he glanced at the tablet monitor where the Batta Candroids are providing live footage and he is waiting for evidence to show up, and he is bracing himself as he is slowly guessing what is about to happen next, judging from the fact that a marine-based Yummy was created and he knows that a certain Greed has the means to do that.

Inside the warehouse, Ankh and the Gunsmith Cats were thrown to the floor, and Shiho is alarmed to see Ankh and she asked him what is he doing here and how he got captured, pointing out that he has the means to get himself out of any situation, but Ankh said that he was taken by surprise as he pointed at the Narwhal Yummy, and this made Shiho become worried as she sensed what is happening at the moment.
"Is that…?"
"Yeah, a Yummy."
"A fish Yummy…wait…that…"
"Tch…"
"…"
"I have a bad feeling about this…"
"You can't be…"
"Now I'm regretting not bringing Kyuji with me…"
At the same time, the Gunsmith Cats regain consciousness and are surprised to see many captured girls, ranging from children to prepubescent ones, and there they saw Misty Brown as she stealthily approached them and revealed that it was her idea about having the Gunsmith Cats come to Japan to do work, and revealed that she is hoping that they would help, telling them that something has happened to Goldie Musou.
Rally and Minnie listened as Misty revealed that aside from getting suspicious about Musou's strange personality, she secretly saw Musou brought out coin-like objects and threw them at her henchmen, which the coin-like objects went inside the person's forehead and moments later it produced marine-based monsters and secretly did something.
Rally and Minnie recalled what happened earlier during their encounter with Kazari and Uva, and asked Misty if she saw Musou TURNED INTO A MONSTER, which Misty said she hasn't seen anything yet.
"So, Misty…"
"Did Goldie turn into a monster?"
"No…nothing like that…"
"Really?"
"Are you sure?"
"Yeah."
"…"
"…"
"It's the truth…"
Ankh overheard the conversation and stood up, and there Musou showed up, who acted like the usual Goldie Musou, though Rally sensed that something is amiss given what Misty told her and asked Musou if she is the same person she knew, which Musou acted innocently and said that she is the same person like before, but now she is just being PRACTICAL.
However Ankh approached and confronted Musou, and as the guards are aiming their guns at him, Musou told them to stand down, saying that Ankh is no threat, stating that he is just A SOMEBODY PRETENDING TO BE SOMEONE WHO IS NOT.
Ankh wasn't impressed and went to the point and tells her that he knows what is going on and revealed that he can sense her CONSCIOUSNESS, and there he addressed her as a fellow Greed, calling by her name – Mezeru.
Shiho stared wide-eyed at hearing this as Musou acted like an innocent woman and asked Ankh what makes him say that, and Ankh stated that he can sense Mezeru within Musou's body and pointed out that the Narwhal Yummy being here means that Mezeru is active again, and also said that he could also sense more fish-type Yummies within the warehouse.
"You can't fool me. I know you're there."
"Oh dear…what are you babbling about…?"
"Drop the act already!"
"But I am not an actress…"
"Don't you dare play dumb!"
"Do I look like Dumbo to you…?"
"Damn wench…"
"…"
Misty and the Gunsmith Cats stared wide-eyed at hearing this as they glanced at Musou, who is acting like she has no clue to what Ankh is saying, and there Rally wondered what is going on here as Ankh approached Musou and tells her to drop the act, saying that he knows that Mezeru is possessing Musou's body.
Musou continue to act innocent and rebuffed Ankh's claims, saying that he doesn't know what he is blabbering about and offered him a place in her empire, which only made Ankh more irritated, and tells her that she can't fool a Greed who can sense the presence of another Greed, which Musou just smirked in reply.

Outside the warehouse, Kyuji and Ran watched the live footage, and seeing and hearing Ankh confronting Musou, they are starting to feel uneasy, with Kyuji beginning to sense that something is definitely off, and by then Gotoh and Toudou arrived in secret and asked the two what is happening there.
Gotoh and Toudou expressed apprehension when told of what is going on, with the latter said that he finds it unbelievable given how he saw two Greed's were KILLED several months ago, though Kyuji said he thought so as well until seeing the Narwhal Yummy a while ago, and seeing Ankh confronting Musou, he now has a general idea of what is about to happen, and there he told Toudou to be ready as he will take care of the guards without alerting the rest inside the warehouse.
"That's what were going to do."
"I see."
"Can I count on you?"
"Sure."
"Good."
"Shall we…?"
"Right."
"Okay."
As Kyuji puts on the O-Driver, he then inserted three Core Medals to initiate his transformation.
O-Driver: "KUWAGATA…GORILLA…GIRIN!"
Kyuji transformed into O's, in which he is now armed with the stag beetle horns, gorilla gauntlets and boots that resembled that of a giraffe, and he stealthily approached the guards and uses the stag beetle horns to electrocute the guards into unconsciousness, and there Toudou sees this as their cue and tells Gotoh that they are going in.
Inserting a Cell Medal, both Toudou and Gotoh transformed into Kamen Riders Birth and Proto-Birth respectively and went towards the warehouse entrance along with Ran, and soon they are joined by O's as they confronted Goldie Musou as she expressed a slight surprise to see them.
As the three Kamen Riders are confronting Musou, something unexpected took place as the captive girls are convulsing before DISCHARGING Cell Medals, just as Ankh fired a fireball aimed at Musou, but then one of the guards stepped in and took the blast, incinerating him much to everyone's horror, and there Musou smirked as she went to a stockpile of Cell Medals where two blue-colored Core Medals dropped from her body.
The two Core Medals had the marking of a hammerhead shark and a squid engraved, and as the two Core Medals touched the Cell Medals, it quickly enveloped and began forming a body, and to O's horror, it is shown that Mezeru is revived and this caused Musou to collapse, which Misty immediately grabbed her and pulled her away as Mezeru feels energized after absorbing a lot of Cell Medals.
There she told O's and Ankh that she has been waiting for this and said that possessing Musou's body was rather convenient and now she needs to find the rest of her Core Medals before dealing with the likes of O's and Ankh, which she said that she now have no more need for covering up her existence.
She then demanded to O's and Ankh to hand over her Core Medals or else they are going to suffer the consequences yet Ankh rebuffed her threats, which did little to discourage her.
"Bah! You're not getting anything from us!"
"You sure act big though I'm baffled at how you partially regain your powers even though you are still in the form of a right arm…"
"Who cares? I'm going to dissolve you again!"
"Not this time, Ankh."
"…"
"I will get my medals back and kill you along with Os..."
"Grr…"
"Oh-ho-ho-ho…"
Clenching his fist, Ankh threw two Core Medals at O's and tells him to take down Mezeru, which O's nodded as he replaced the Gorilla and Girin medals with another two medals, which are blue-colored before scanner them with the Medal Scanner.
O-Driver: "SHAICHI…MEKAJIKI…CONDOR!"
O's assumed another sub-combo where his armor showed another display where his helmet has the design of a whale's head, his right wrist is covered in a gauntlet that resembled a swordfish's head while his boots have the appearance of a condor, and now he is joined by Birth and Proto-Birth, where O's is surprised to see that Gotoh is now a Kamen Rider, and there he told the two that they need to defeat Mezeru and they should not hold back.
"Guys…be ready…this is going to be a tough one."
"Right."
"Understood."
"We're going all-out."
"Yeah."
"Yeah."
"Then unleash everything you got."
"Yeah."
"Yeah."

Hope you liked this chapter as the build-up intensifies that led to the reveal that Mezeru survived and possessed Goldie Musou for several months and uses her body to produce small Yummy fledging to make lots of Cell Medals and now that she regained her body, she is now looking forward to get her Core Medals from Kyuji and Ankh, while the Gunsmith Cats, Ran and Shiho are caught in between…
