Hunt For The Mystical Medals

Many thanks to those who reviewed this fic, I really appreciated it and this gave me inspiration to work on the next chapter and here the current story arc is ongoing…and here you will see the aftermath of what happened during the previous chapters…and how this affects the main characters…

The scene shifts at Professor Agasa's house, where Ran is serving tea to Gotoh and Toudou, who arrived, as they patrolled the streets and so far there were no Yummy or Greed activities, though they noticed that Kyuji or Ankh are not around and it is already getting late as the time now is already 22:00, though Agasa believe that things are going to be okay given how Kyuji and Ankh have eluded several crisis before.

"Its getting late…those guys haven't arrived yet…"

"You're right…"

"I'm getting worried…"

"Don't worry. Ankh and Kyuji will be okay."

"I guess."

"Perhaps."

"Thank goodness."

"Good to hear. So please calm down…"

Then the doorbell rang and Agasa opened the door, where the professor, Ran, Gotoh and Toudou were taken by surprise at seeing Shiho and Kyuji carrying an injured Ankh, causing Ran verbally show concern as Shinichi's body would be affected, but then Kogoro came in and locked the door and covered the windows, and there Kogoro told Ran what happened several minutes ago.

Ran was shocked that her dad said that he found out about what just happened yet he is still perplexed about the Greed and why Ankh is possessing Shinichi's body, and there, Agasa sighed as he tells Kogoro that he will tell him what he knows up to this point.

"Sir…please calm down."

"Agasa…?"

"I will tell you everything. About Master Shinichi and the current circumstances."

"Really?"

"Really."

"Please. I need to know. What is going on and why is a flying hand possessing Shinichi like that…"

"I will tell you…"

"Fine."

Ch. 156: Kurōn sa reta karada, 2tsu no anku, kingu no keiji part 7

As Shiho and Kyuji tended to the wounds of Shinichi's body, Kogoro was smoking a cigarette as Agasa tells him about the Black Organization, Shinichi became their latest victim, being fed with an unknown drug that was supposed to kill him but for reasons unknown it caused Shinichi's body to revert to a child's body, and why Shinichi chose to keep his status a secret from others.

Agasa reluctantly told Kogoro that when Shinichi assume the identity of Conan Edogawa, he would, at times, use Kogoro as a STAND-IN to solve cases which Kogoro felt like he was cheating when he took the credit when it should be Shinichi who should take it, and while disappointed, he came to understand why Shinichi did that as a way to protect everyone from being exposed to the Black Organization.

Ran apologized to her dad for keeping it a secret, and while Kogoro expressed disappointment, he tells his daughter that it is okay, which the two hugged, but then he asked what happened to Shinichi and why he is able to regain his normal form and why Ankh is possessing him, in which Shiho revealed her role of being a chemist for the Black Organization before defecting, and how she managed to create a cure that allowed her and Shinichi to control in assuming their normal and child forms.

Then Kyuji told Kogoro that circumstances that led to Ankh possessing Shinichi's body in order to keep him alive, and how they came into a conflict with the Greed and the Yummy, which Kogoro was trying to absorb what he was told about, and couldn't believe that he would see Shinichi again, but as a comatose body being possessed by a mystical creature.

"…so then…"

"Yes. What I told you just now is true."

"Unbelievable…"

"Sorry, but that's the truth…"

"To think that something like this happened…"

"Well…"

"I may need a bit of time to process this…"

"…"

Kogoro then glanced at Ankh, who is gritting his teeth while Shiho tended to the injuries on Shinichi's body, and Kogoro is still in disbelief at finding out what has befallen the teen detective and now Shinichi is relying on Ankh's monster hand form in keeping Shinichi alive as much as possible.

Gotoh is also surprised after hearing this as he had no idea that the body that Ankh possessed is that of a teenage boy with good deductive skills whilst discovering that a secret criminal organization is active, having managed to remain in secrecy whilst managing to plant their spies within the police force.

By then Toudou approached Ankh, saying that he is willing to give him some Cell Medals so he can heal faster, which Kyuji asked if he is sure, and Toudou said that he would not mind it given that this is an emergency.

"Really, Toudou?"

"Yeah. I don't mind."

"Thank goodness…"

"However…"

"Huh?"

"In exchange…Ankh should tell us about the Greed. Their history and all…"

"You mean…?"

"Yes."

Ankh stared wide-eyed when told by Toudou that, in exchange for Cell Medals, he would tell everyone about the Greed, the history and how they were TAKEN OUT 800 years ago before being revived, which Kogoro blinked his eyes upon hearing that the Greed were created a long time ago and that they were out for 800 years before becoming active recently.

"What? Eight hundred years, you say…?"

"Yes, Mr. Mori."

"You mean to say these Greed were created during the medieval times…?"

"Looks like it."

"You…you can't be serious…"

"That's the information I got at this time regarding the Greed..."

"…"

"…"

Kyuji then took a pair of Cell Medals and waved it in front of Ankh, teasing him that he needs to RECHARGE or otherwise the OTHER Ankh will EAT HIM, which Ankh twitched his eyes at seeing what Kyuji is doing, but due to his weakened and injured state, Ankh grudgingly accepted and received a few Cell Medals which slowly healed him and there Ankh is ready to tell everyone about the Greed.

Toudou then told the rest to listen up, as what Ankh is about to tell would be a big help in knowing what they are facing against, which the others nodded in acknowledgement as this would be their chance to know what is going on and how and why there is another Ankh when the Ankh right here is the original one.

"Okay."

"Okay."

"Okay."

"Okay."

"Okay."

"Okay."

"Okay."

"Okay."

Having no choice, Ankh reveals that the Greed were mystical creatures and are actually created by alchemists from the medieval times, which is located in Europe, for the sole purpose so the European king could become a living god, which Kyuji and the others listened intently upon hearing that during the medieval times, there was an original version of O's that existed.

"Huh?"

"What…?"

"A medieval version of O's…?"

"No way…"

"Seriously…?"

"For real…?"

"This is interesting…"

"Please continue…"

A flashback scene then shows that the four Greed, Uva, Kazari, Mezeru and Gameru, in their COMPLETE FORM, banded together to face the European king, who now transform into the European O's, and a fierce battle ensued, which, despite combining their forces, the four Greed were steadily getting defeated whilst losing half of their Core Medals to the European O's.

At this point Ankh, in his full Greed form and complete body, appeared and sided with the European O's, revealing that the two are in cahoots and stood over the weakened Greed, who are in disbelief that Ankh betrayed them to the European O's in a deceptive manner.

Though he helped the European O's, Ankh was betrayed as the Kamen Rider from 800 years ago stabbed him from behind and took half of Ankh's Core Medals, and using the Medal Scanner, the European O's used all fifteen Core Medal types he had at once to achieve his goal of becoming a god and an immortal. However, instead of becoming a god, the Core Medals caused the European O's body to turn into a stoned body and this caused a chain reaction as the four Greed are being reduced to Cell Medals and getting sucked into a coffin-like object along with their Core Medals.

The weakened Ankh attempted to regain his Core Medals but then his body was split in two before being dissolved into Cell Medals and is sucked onto the coffin along with the other Greed, and they all remained like that for 800 years.

Back at the present, Toudou gave Ankh more Cell Medals after being told about what happened, and Kogoro just smoked six sticks of cigarettes after hearing what Ankh said, as he couldn't believe what he just heard, and now it makes sense after hearing the rumors and sightings about the Greed and the Yummy.

However, Gotoh is baffled as to how a counterpart of Ankh is born, which Ankh himself is puzzled by this, and there Toudou theorizes that what the European O's did before may have unintentionally caused a side effect in which when Ankh's body was split in two, the left side may have developed a consciousness of its own which may have awakened at the same time as the other Greed and went on its own before being found by the Black Organization, surprising the rest.

"…and that's what I think…which might make sense given what Shiho told us a while ago…"

"No way…"

"So that's why the Black Organization members are feeling confident…"

"This is bad…now that the Black Organization has a Greed on their side…"

"Then this would be a huge problem…"

"And Vermouth somehow tamed the other Ankh..."

"Damn it…"

"…"

After being given a few more Cell Medals, Ankh is healed, which also healed Shinichi's physical body, and there Ankh was seething as he couldn't believe that Vermouth has the other Core Medals in her possession, though Kogoro asked why Ankh hasn't assumed his Greed form since he has four of his Core Medals, which Toudou theorizes that perhaps it is another side effects of what the European O's did which unintentionally affected Ankh's body, which the others asked Toudou if he is sure.

"Eh?"

"What?"

"Seriously?"

"From the looks of it…it do make sense why Ankh wasn't able to assume his Greed form even though he has four of his Core Medals."

"…"

"…"

"…"

"And that's the logic we can assume…"

After that, everyone decided to retire for the night and spend the night at Agasa's house, while Kogoro promised to keep what he learned a secret, though he would discreetly investigate to see which police officials are on the Black Organization's payroll.
