Many thanks to those who reviewed this fic, I really appreciated it and this gave me inspiration to work on the next chapter and here a new story arc is about to commence…and here you will see the aftermath of what happened following the previous chapters…and how this affects the main characters…

In the previous arc, a few things happened:

O – A mysterious entity, resembling a left hand form of Ankh, gained a human host which turn out to be a cloned body of Conan Edogawa;

O – Now called Conankh, he became Vermouth's pet and an unofficial associate of the Black Organization, where he fought Ankh, which inadvertently revealed Shinichi's comatose body to the Black Organization, which during the battle Conankh was given three bird-type Core Medals and mysteriously gained his bird-type Greed form;

O – And, it caught the attention of O's and the rest, where a recovering Ankh reluctantly told them about the Greed and the European O's;

At the secret hideout of the Black Organization, the members of the sub-groups were eyeing towards Conankh, as he is seen eating a large quarter pounder hamburger sandwich that Vermouth gave, and Gin was twitching his eyes as he recalled the events from last night, as he couldn't believe what he witnessed, and of the fact that the right-hand monster entity was the reason why Shinichi Kudo is barely alive, unaware that the APTX drug only caused Shinichi to regress his body to that of a child instead of killing him.

Vodka whispered to Gin and asked if he believed him now about seeing a flying hand several months ago, and Gin reluctantly acknowledge it, saying that he never thought he would encounter something like this, and now he wondered what Anokata is thinking at the moment, as of right now he is speaking to Vermouth regarding Conankh, as the Beer group tells Gin that Anokata is considering in making Conankh a member, especially after Vermouth secretly videotaped last night's event, much to Gin's surprise and disbelief.

Lager nodded and said that depending on what Anokata's decision would be, the Black Organization is now facing an unprecedented situation now that there's a possibility that the organization might get exposed to the public, while Anokata is considering in accepting Conankh on the account of the footage that Vermouth submitted to him.

"Anokata can't be serious…is he really going to allow that freak into our ranks?"

"Can't say for sure, Gin, it would depend on how Vermouth present it."

"…"

"But…in my personal opinion…I think that it might help the organization. If that…Conankh…working with the Black Organization, it would help us in repelling the police…take out our rivals…"

"So you're going to accept that…thing…?"

"I might…if Vermouth managed to tame him…"

"You got to be kidding…"

"Ease up, Gin."

Bourbon approached Gin and teases the Spirits leader, asking if Gin is getting insecure over Vermouth's pet after he made quite an impression in dealing with the meddlers in an unorthodox manner which Gin couldn't compete, as well as Conankh being the one able to land some damage on Ankh, reminding Gin how he was unable to damage Ankh after the latter killed two of Gin's subordinates months ago.

Gin was forced to recall that moment and is poised to draw his gun to retaliate against Bourbon's taunting, but Vodka, Baijiu and Kaoliang held him and urged him to calm down, reminding him that Anokata is nearby and he would not tolerate any unnecessary commotion, which might cause unwanted complications if the leader gets disturbed.

"Aniki!"

"Whoa, Gin!"

"Calm down!"

"Gggrrr…!"

"Calm down, aniki!"

"Vodka's right! Don't throw a fit!"

"Cause an unnecessary commotion and Anokata would take your head!"

"…"

Lager then told Bourbon to stop the unnecessary provocation, reminding him that right now the organization is facing a period of uncertainty due to being seen by prying eyes and that the organization as a whole is now hanging in the balance as they are awaiting Anokata's decision on what to do with Conankh.

"Bourbon…stop."

"Hmm…?"

"That's enough."

"Excuse me…?"

"We got enough problems on our hands. Please refrain from provoking others. Anokata is in the midst of making an important decision."

"…oh, fine…"

"Please restrain yourself."

"Okay. Fine."

Bourbon smirked while raising his hands to show that he is backing off while Gin glared at him, and there Korn and Chianti are wondering what Anokata's decision would be, curious to know if the Black Organization leader is enticed in borrowing the power of a Greed, and what would he do to Vermouth should he decided that she violated a rule of secrecy of the organization.

"What do you think, Korn?"

"Huh?"

"Is the boss going to…?"

"Who knows? If that kid managed to impress him, then the boss might consider the kid to join in."

"What about Vermouth? You think the boss would…"

"There's no telling…if she managed to convince the boss about the kid's worth…then the boss might overlook what Vermouth did."

"Hmph. If she's lucky…"

"Yeah."

Ch. 157: Keikoku, gekisen, rihan part 1

The next day, the scene shifts at Doctor Maki's lab, where Maki and Kazari are studying the footage that they secretly recorded, which showed that Conankh has acquired his Greed form and managed to repel Ankh, and was able to fight O's to a standstill, which Kazari is intrigued as he had no idea that Ankh would be SPLIT INTO TWO DIFFERENT ENTITIES.

Maki is also intrigued, but at the same time concerned, as he discovered the existence of the Black Organization, and seeing that it was Vermouth who gave Conankh the three Core Medals, he finds himself facing a dilemma as he has his own agenda that is hidden from the Kougami Foundation, and if the Black Organization members gets in his way, Maki would be forced to take drastic actions.

"How intriguing. A criminal organization that managed to stay hidden in secrecy…"

"And on top of that, that woman managed to manipulate that chibi version of Ankh into obeying her. She even helped him repel Ankh and O's."

"And yet this unexpected development is potentially interfering with my own hidden agenda. Kazari, we may have to adopt a different approach."

"Oh? Are you concerned about the other Ankh?"

"In a way. Though that different Ankh has only five Core Medals, he appeared strong enough to hold its own against Ankh and O's, and if we end up encountering him, we might get into a compromising situation."

"Then I'll fight that Ankh."

"Be cautious first, Kazari. We do not know if this other Ankh is strong enough despite only having half of his Core Medals. It'd be safer if we do not engage him in an unnecessary encounter."

"Hmm…"

As Kazari wondered what the scenario would be like if he and Conankh were to cross paths, Maki sighed as he is concerned about his own agenda to carry out, but with a second Ankh appearing, things are now getting complicated, and there his smartphone buzzed, where he received a text message from Kousei Kougami, where he is being summoned to Kougami's office at once.

There Maki tells Kazari to meet him later at a specific place so that they would make their next move and what to do next, which Kazari asked if it is okay to create a Yummy, which Maki said he doesn't mind as long as it doesn't attract too much attention, which Kazari smirked in appreciation.

"So you don't mind…?"

"As long as it doesn't attract unnecessary attention, you're free to do as you wish."

"Really?"

"Do as you like. Just be ready, as we might consider our next move within a matter of time."

"Oh goodie."

"See you later, Kazari."

"Time to kill some time…"

"…"

The scene shifts at a warehouse somewhere within the city, where a rival criminal group are attempting to consolidate their network and resources as they got overconfident and intend to compete against the likes of the Black Organization, not afraid of challenging them seeing that the said organization lack something like having no henchmen and the like, and there the group members are confident because they have enough hired guns to carry out the deeds.

"I believe that we can take down those damn Body Odor…"

"That's the Black Organization…"

"Who cares? We can take them down. We got something they don't."

"Yeah, boss…we got lots of trigger-happy goons!"

"With almost 80 of them…and if you offer them a lucrative price, they are willing to do the job! I managed to win 500 million yen on the lottery and I got the cash. I'll use the money to hire our gunmen to shoot those Body Odor till no one is left breathing."

"Sounds good…"

"And we can take their goodies…"

"Yeah…"

Suddenly, Vermouth, Port, Marsala and Vinsanto entered the warehouse and confronted the group, which the group leaders were surprised to see that the female members of the Black Organization coming in so suddenly, but because the group members are overconfident, they felt that they can intimidate the Black Organization into showing them that their superior numbers would make the Black Organization submissive.

"You bitches think you can scare us? Hah! We got lots of goons with guns and they are going to waste you! And then we will take over your operation! You with me, guys?"

"Yeah!"

As the group member snaps his fingers, about 30 armed goons showed up and aimed their guns at the Fortified Wine members of the Black Organization, and there the unidentified group members demanded to Vermouth that the Black Organization submit and become the vassal of the unidentified group, which Vermouth coolly rebuke them, saying that their consolidating days are over, much to the unidentified group members' exasperation.

"What was that?"

"You bitch!"

"Damn you!"

"Are you trying to scare us?"

"You need to be taught a lesson…should we shows these bitches that we mean business…?"

"Yeah!"

As the group members decided to give the Black Organization a warning by telling their armed goons to riddle the women with bullets, the armed goons are smirking as they are revealed to be masochists as they love abusing women, and there they told Vermouth and her comrades that they made the mistake of coming here and challenge the unidentified group.

"You bitches think you can psyche us? Hah! We ain't biting! And with a snap of my fingers I'll command our goons with guns to riddle you with bullets and they are going to waste you! And then we will take over your operation! Are you in agreement with me, guys?"

"Yeah!"

However, red feathers suddenly rained down, and as the armed goons looked up, they were surprised to see Conankh, who is in his Greed form and slowly descends to the floor, and the group leaders were taken aback at seeing this, unsure if they are seeing a monster or if someone is pulling a prank, but the others were not taking chances after seeing that the Greed doesn't appeared to be a phony, and ordered the armed goons to shoot Conankh down, which the armed goons nodded in acknowledgement.

"Yeah!"

The armed goons opened fire, shooting their guns and fired bullets at Conankh, but to their shock the Greed stood there whilst the bullets were dented and fell to the floor, staring at them with disdain, and the group leaders were horrified to see that Conankh wasn't fazed, and summoned more armed goons and ordered them to shoot down Conankh no matter what.

"Shoot him! Shoot him down! Waste him! Kill him! Do it now!"

"Yeah!"

Vermouth smirked as she casually leaves the warehouse with Port, Marsala and Vinsanto following her, and after leaving the warehouse they waited outside as sounds of gunfire are heard, but then the walls of the warehouse were suddenly punctured as a huge fireball went through, and several of the armed goons are running, as they are set on fire.

Several successive fire blasts are heard and more goons were thrown out, and are already on fire, screaming as they are slowly getting killed, and Vermouth smirked as it is revealed that Anokata has approved in letting Conankh join the Black Organization given that Vermouth be in charge in keeping Conankh in line, and there Vermouth has acted as a SURROGATE MOTHER to Conankh as she instructed him to destroy the unidentified group, and soon the unidentified group members are running away, only to be struck down by the huge fireball, which killed them all.

There Vermouth tells Port, Marsala and Vinsanto to inform Gin that the assignment is completed and that they are going to rendezvous with Gin and Vodka, which the three Fortified Wine members nodded in acknowledgement.

"Make sure Gin gets the message loud and clear."

"Yes, ma'am."

"And tell him where we should meet after."

"Yes, ma'am."
