Hunt For The Mystical Medals

Many thanks to those who reviewed this fic, I really appreciated it and this gave me inspiration to work on the next chapter and here a new story arc commences…and here you will see the aftermath of what happened following the previous chapters…and how this affects the side characters of Detective Conan…

Uva smirked as he admired his handiwork after causing an unfortunate victim to spawn the Black Swallowtail Yummy, which is now causing trouble as it tossed out the money while flying in the air, and you can see people are scrambling to get their hands on the FREE MONEY and caused them to fight over it, going so far as assaulting one another to the point of injuring him/her just to get the money in their hands.

"Hey!"

"Let go!"

"This is mine!"

"No! It's mine!"

"I got it first!"

"No! I got it first!"

"Let go, damn it!"

"You let go!"

Soon more pedestrians swarmed the streets as they saw the falling cash, and they carelessly went there, which took drivers by surprise and they swerved to avoid hitting them but the drivers unfortunately ended up crashing at street posts, walls of nearby establishments and even against other vehicles, resulting in car crashes, others bursts into flames and exploded, yet the foolish pedestrians ignore it as they are busy getting their hands on the falling cash and are fighting amongst themselves, showing the ugly side of their greed.

"Hey! It's mine!"

"You let go! I got it first!"

"No! This one is mine!"

"No! It's mine!"

"Buzz off! I got it first!"

"No way! I was the one who got it first!"

"Let go, damn it!"

"You let go, asshole!"

Amid all that is happening, the scene shifts at the office of Kousei Kougami within the Kougami Foundation, where Kougami is staring at the window of his office, looking at the skies where he vaguely saw the Black Swallowtail Yummy hovering above the streets and dropping the paper money, yet he seemed to be thinking about something else.

He was EMOTIONALLY HURT about Maki's DEPARTURE, and the stoned seal that Maki stole, and Kougami mentally deduced that Maki has a diabolical intention towards the stoned seal, and wondered if Maki knows what he is getting himself into, and the president of the Kougami Foundation is having a mixture of worry and excitement about what might happen next.

"Doctor Maki…it pains me to see you leave…and to think you are planning to DO THAT…"

By then Satonaka came and asked Kougami regarding the stoned seal that Maki stole, as she stated that she has a feeling that Maki might UNEARTH it, though Kougami said that he has a feeling that Maki may have opened the stoned seal, and by now Maki has probably managed to retrieve the contents, which Satonaka asked if Kougami has any contingency plans.

Kougami just smirked yet he was not feeling jovial, and said that should that situation become a reality, he will thread it and be ready, saying that a confrontation with Maki is inevitable.

"So you're accepting the fact that you might face off against Maki?"

"Probably."

"I guess this is something you didn't anticipate."

"Indeed. We may have to move forward. Facing Maki is inevitable."

"Then we would have to rely on Hino, Toudou and Gotoh."

"Indeed."

"And face the possibility of encountering death?"

"Of course."

Satonaka just nodded and glanced at the window, where she uses a binocular and can see the Black Swallowtail Yummy is currently causing trouble as it threw out paper money and people are scrambling to get their hands on the falling money.

Ch. 162: Murasaki no medaru, kyōryū, chimei-tekina konbo part 2

The scene shifts at Doctor Maki's secret safehouse, where Maki and Kazari stood in front of the table where the stoned seal is opened, and there 10 purple Core Medals are shown, with each one having the emblem of different dinosaurs, which initially glowed and Kazari is feeling cautious and apprehensive, feeling the aura of the 10 purple Core Medals.

"That power…"

"…"

"Those medals…!"

"Hmm…?"

"I can sense it…!"

"So you noticed."

"Its quite…terrifying…!"

"Indeed."

The scene zoomed towards the 10 purple Core Medals, and there you can see the emblem of the different dinosaurs, which are identified as:

- Pterodactyl

- Triceratops

- Tyrannosaurus

- Carnosaur

- Smiledon

- Dimetrodon

- Styracosaurus

- Anurognathus

- Stegosaurus

The tenth purple Core Medal was briefly seen but its emblem wasn't shown, and Kazari cautiously stared at them and now he is feeling more of that strange aura, which is different from the ones that the five Greed exhibits, and he asked Maki if he knows what he is getting himself into, which the bespectacled scientist stoically nodded in response.

"Doctor…!"

"Yes?"

"Do you have any idea what you're getting yourself into?"

"Yes."

"Those medals…!"

"Calm down. You have nothing to worry about."

"Are you sure?"

"Yes."

Maki assured to Kazari that there is nothing for him to worry, and after a minute of hesitation, Kazari went forward and glanced at the purple Core Medals, and there he asked Maki what kind of Core Medals are they, as he has never seen the emblem before, and Maki explained that, according to the surviving descendants of the European O's, the alchemists from 800 years ago SECRETLY created a separate set of Core Medals, which are based on the extinct dinosaurs, and as of now, Maki is studying what powers these Core Medals posses, and what would happen if O's were to use these medals, which made Kazari a little worried, saying that if these purple Core Medals possess more power it might put him and the other Greeds at risk.

"Are you serious?"

"…"

"You're letting O's use those medals?"

"When the opportunity present itself."

"How would that affect us Greed?"

"An enticing experiment…and I look forward to it."

"You can't be…"

"I am."

Meanwhile, the Black Swallowtail Yummy hovers above and is continuing to throw the paper money towards the ground, each bill worth 1,000 Yen, and this enticed the pedestrians to scramble towards the streets to get their hands on the FREE MONEY, which caused a chain reaction, as people began shoving one another while others engaged in a tug-of-war on getting their hands on the money being dropped.

"Hey!"

"Let go!"

"This is mine!"

"No! It's mine!"

"I got it first!"

"No! I got it first!"

"Let go, damn it!"

"You let go!"

Moments later the chain reaction commences as vehicles were passing by and the drivers were taken aback by the falling money and the sudden movements of the pedestrians, causing accidents, like hit-and-run while vehicles crashing against one another, resulting in serious injuries, yet the people appeared to be oblivious as all they can think about is getting their hands on the money and nothing more..

"Hey!"

"Let go!"

"This is mine!"

"No! It's mine!"

"I got it first!"

"No! I got it first!"

"Let go, damn it!"

"You let go!"

Shiho and Ran could only watch as they saw the majority of the pedestrians are foolishly scrambling to get their hands on the money, and the two girls sighed in dismay seeing that the people have stooped this low, forgetting that they are foolishly forfeiting their safety amid the wrecked vehicles and the bodies laying everywhere.

Kyuji, Ankh, Toudou and Gotoh arrived, and are horrified at the scene they are seeing, and there they saw the Black Swallowtail Yummy is throwing the cash from the skies, and there Shiho and Ran told Kyuji to do something as the people are now blind to their surroundings, which Ankh reluctantly agreed as is Kyuji.

"Kyuji! Please!"

"Stop that thing! It's causing a lot of damage!"

"This is bad…"

"Kyuji…that Yummy is strong…we can harvest a lot of Cell Medals once we kill it."

"Please!"

"Stop that Yummy!"

"Okay. We're on it!"

"Hold up, Kyuji!"

Ankh then opened the medal case and carefully chose which Core Medals to use, and finally picked the ones that are best suited in a situation like this and threw them towards Kyuji, telling him to use them to bring the Black Swallowtail Yummy to the ground, which Kyuji nodded, seeing that these Core Medals would suit him in this kind of situations.

"Whoa…"

"Use those, Kyuji! Make use of them!"

"I see…"

"Hurry up and use them!"

"Okay! Got it!"

"Make sure that Yummy won't get away!"

"Okay!"

"Now go!"

Putting on the Medal Driver, Kyuji slots in the three Core Medals before scanning them with the Medal Scanner, thus evoking the transformation.

Medal Scanner: "TAKA…UNAGI…TAKO!"

Kyuji transformed into Kamen Rider O's, where he assumed a sub-combo which has the power of the hawk, electric eel and octopus, and there O's uses the eel whips to catch the Black Swallowtail Yummy and dragged it towards the ground, and there the pedestrians were snapped from their greed and saw the Yummy, terrifying them and began screaming in fright.

"EEEEEEKKKK!"

"KKKKKKKYYYYYYAAAAHHHH!"

"WWWWWWAAAAAHHHH!"

"HHHHHHEEEEELLLPPPPP!"

"EEEEEEKKKK!"

"KKKKKKKYYYYYYAAAAHHHH!"

"WWWWWWAAAAAHHHH!"

"HHHHHHEEEEELLLPPPPP!"

Toudou and Gotoh decided to join the fray, putting on their Birth Drivers and slots in a Cell Medal, transforming into Kamen Rider Birth and Kamen Rider Proto-Birth, and joins O's in taking on the Yummy, and there the three Kamen Riders started to overwhelm the Yummy as O's told Birth and Proto-Birth that they got to destroy the Yummy before it tries to escape.

"Toudou! Gotoh! We got to ground that Yummy!"

"Okay!"

"Got it!"

"Don't give it a chance to fly!"

"Okay, noted!"

"Looks like we'll have to clip its wings!"

"Lets do this!"

"Right!"

"Affirmative!"

Hope you liked this chapter of the current story arc, as after Maki opened the stoned seal which revealed the contents, which turn out to be Core Medals based on extinct dinosaurs…with Maki planning something that would foreshadow the next trail of events…

Uva resurface and caused a troubling situation, and this prompts Kyuji and the others to go after another insect-themed Yummy…and this would also lead to a chain of events…
