Ron and Hermione receive their Gringotts vaults closure notices.
Ron truly was feeling on top of the world right now and he couldn't think of a single thing that would bring him back down to earth again. He had attended the first Quidditch practice session of the school year and due to Harry's unexplained disappearance, they urgently needed a replacement seeker. Ron didn't really care too much about Harry's disappearance, but if it paved the way for himself to steal Harry's glory (which he evidently had now done so after a successful seeker trial, everyone else in comparison was pathetic losers, especially Neville Longbottom) then if he was brutally honest, he couldn't give a flying fuck (no pun intended) if Harry had been killed by you-know-who.
As if Dumbledore making himself and Hermione prefects wasn't enough to make him feel like he was on top of the world, his new Quidditch status certainly was. Perhaps Perhaps now his mother and father will look up to him in a similar way to how they do his brothers Percy, Bill and Charlie?
He was sat down in the common room in front of a roaring fire, blissfully unaware of his surroundings because of how overwhelmingly happy he was when suddenly his thoughts were interrupted by an owl tapping on a window. He opened it, and took the letter the owl had for him, he was a bit surprised, but assumed it was a congratulations letter from his parents.
He was even more surprised to see it had been sent from Gringotts. He sat back down in front of the fireplace with the letter and began to read it.
Dear Mr Ronald Arthur Weasley
IMPORTANT NOTICE: FORECLOSURE OF VAULTS
It has recently come to our attention that your vault(s) you hold with Gringotts have been utilized in such a manner that violates both Goblin and Wizarding financial laws as well as the Gringotts Code Of Conduct.
Due to the extreme nature of the unsavory activity identified, we have been left with no option other than to commence with immediate effect the foreclosure of all the vaults you hold with Gringotts, in addition to this, the contents of all such vaults will be seized in accordance with the Gringotts Code Of Conduct. Please be advised that we are not prepared to discuss any of the specifics of this decision made, and you are henceforth barred from opening further faults with Gringotts. Should you be found to have entered Gringotts premises, we will consider this an attack on the Goblin world and will not hesitate to defend what is ours by any force necessary.
Sincerely yours,
Blordak

He had to read it several times before he realized it wasn't someone's idea of a sick joke. The whole room around him became a dizzy blur, and several questions rushed through his mind, why had this happened, how would you this affect his future at Hogwarts and how would his parents react to such news?
Before he could go looking for Hermione, she could be seen running down the stairs from the girl's dormitory howling in tears, holding an identically worded letter from Gringotts. His first thought was to put his arms around her and comfort her, (he loved her so much it was painful, especially during a time like this) and moments after he did so, the pair flinched slightly as the common room fireplace turned emerald green and out emerged Dumbledore's head.
"Mr Weasley and Miss Granger, an urgent word in my office if you will? Please use the floo. Thank you."
They didn't need telling twice, as soon as he disappeared from the flames, Ron and Hermione floo'd over to Dumbledore's office.
